I Chronicles 4-9 Now Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, “Because I bore him in pain.” 10 And Jabez called on the God of Israel saying, “Oh, that You would bless me indeed, and enlarge my territory, that Your hand would be with me, and that You would keep me from evil, that I may not cause pain!” So God granted him what he requested.
What stood out is Jabez prayed that God would keep him from evil so that he may not cause pain. His mother named him Jabez because she bore him in pain/sorrow. And Jabez heart was that first Lord keep me from evil knowing that a evil heart, with evil intentions that he would cause pain to others and himself. So Lord keep me from evil that I may not cause pain. So God granted his request.
Not becasue he ask for his territory to be enlarge; many pray for wealth, increase with evil intentions or no intentions to Glorify God in their work, home, etc
I believe God granted him his request because his heart was humble before God and he prayed for his ways to be kept by the Lord from evil. Then and only then will he not cause pain.
So I pray that God will keep us from evil that we will not cause pain to His sheep, His creation, His children. To many are needing a word from the Lord and God has called many of us to be humble, to stay humble so that we won’t damage, bruise, wound the sheep. We cry out for your heart God concerning your sheep. There are to many souls in the balance to not stay humble, to not do things the way God reqiures us to do it. So that He will receive all the Glory. People need the hear the truth and be reconciled to God. So that means my will no longer exist. His will!will be done on earth as it is in heaven. I decrease Lord,as you Increase In me.. I die so that you may reign in my life, so that many will come to you through the life I live for you on this earth.
SO Pray that the Lord hand will be with you, that GOD will keep us from evil, that we may not cause pain. And God will grant what we request because this is HIS will for all….That we live upright before Him in love. In Jesus Name AMEN!
