It’s the same truth that we find in Romans 8:28-30: “And we know that in all things God works
for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose. For those
God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the likeness of his Son, that he might be
the firstborn among many brothers. And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he
also justified; those he justified, he also glorified.

Calling people is a vital part of God’s work in the world
There are many different biblical examples of call which show many possibilities.
♦ It may be a call to leadership, as in the case of Moses.
♦ It may be a promise of protection regarding her descendants , as in the case of the slave
women Hagar.
♦ It may be a prophesy of things to come, as in the case of the boy Samuel.
♦ It may be a call to missionary proclamation, as it came to the unwilling prophet Jonah.
♦ It may be an invitation to motherhood, as in the case of the young virgin Mary.
♦ It may be a call to disciplemaking, as it came to Peter and Andrew, James and John from
Jesus.
♦ It may be a call to conversion, as it came to Saul on the road to Damascus.
Each of these persons heard God’s call in very specific yet different ways. All of them heard the
voice of God in some dramatic fashion.
Have personal stories, scripture, resources linked to each of these examples. . .

As I read the scriptures I get the strong sense that God calls every person in at least two ways.
1. There is the call to salvation. For some it comes quietly over a period of time. For
others it comes powerfully and dramatically. Link to personal stories
2. There is the call to serve God, to minister in the name of Jesus in the church and in the
world. Like the call to salvation, this call takes different shapes for us.

How do we hear God’s voice?
How can we be sure that it is God speaking and not simply our own desires expressing
themselves? How do we find confirmation from others for God’s call to ministry?

♦ Inner call is like God in the heart, speaking to us. It comes through the Holy Spirit

♦ Outer call is the confirmation of others who know us. In the case of a call to pastoral
ministry, we confirm the call of individuals through the vote of a church or through the
credentialing process of a conference

Discerning Call
The Society of Friends, or Quakers, offers a clearness process to confirm God’s voice in
important decisions such as marriage or vocation

If you have a sense that God is calling you to a particular ministry, feel free to tell me about it. Or if you have a sense that God is calling someone else, give them some encouragement.

After reading this article, how do you feel about answering the call? Explain Why?

What if someone come to you and ask for advice about their calling in God, how will you respond? Explain How?

Gods Grace and reward alone give me the true perspective of my own position before God. Confirming by Evangelist, Apostle, Pastor, Prophet, Prayer Warrior, Demon destroyer (in the Name of JESUS), through the POWER of the HOLY GHOST  invested in me. I.Realize that there are no sinners too wicked for The LORD to redeem, and confess the power of God's grace to never loose hope that His Holy Spirit can change the greatest sinner into the holiest saint. Those who oppose the Gospel most vehemently or flee from Christ most rapidly, are often those who later confess JESUS most passionately. Like Paul the Lord transformed him from the Gospels fiercest opponent to the world's most effective evangelist (Acts 9:1-30) No matter how far gone we think a sinner may be, God's grace is greater and more far-reaching than any sin  (Dan. 4: 28 -35) , Eph.3:8: James 4:6.) Those who commit the most horrific crimes can still be transformed and renewed when they repent and turn to Christ. We can't give up praying for and reaching out to even the vilest offenders of God's Laws. The treasure of salvation is within the reach of any of  us WOG to recover lost souls.

The gospel points to the person of Christ who went to the cross, not just to transform the worst of sinners, but to renew even those whose self righteousness blinds them to their own need.

I know my call is to minister to hurting women.  That is the reason I started Empowering God's Women Ministry to help women become who God has called them to be.  So that they will realize that they are not their circumstance.  The things that they have gone through is their testimony not their identity.  I desire to empower women to preach the gospel, become business owners, healed ministry workers or whatever God has called them to do.

I know my call is in intercession. need to know if I have more.

A prophetess once asked me if I heard God speaking to me and I told her I didn't know, she said ask him a question and she said to me would you say that yourself, no, I wouldn't have a reason to refer to myself as daughter.  Pastor Kathy revealed my gift as an intercessor. Diversities of the gift but the same spirit.  I have been compel to preach the word of God with a spirit of discernment.  I may not preach like Paul, but Lord send me, I'll go.   I haven't yet had a "no" response to God.

Blessings Gail, one thing I tell all the students are if you want to hear the voice of God is ask him a question and write it down. Pray and wait and then write down everything he say to you. That will train and teach you how to cultivate, activate, and utilize your gifts the way God want you to use it. I pray this will help you in your way with God..

Blessings Vanessa, Yes when I first had spoken with you months back on the conference call, with the first class. I knew you was an intercessor. However, I have been praying to God about you and there are much more that is inside of you and we will be bringing those gifts forward in the next seven weeks.

Blessings Cheryl, hurting women is one of the most powerful women in the Gospel and they are awesome in ministry. Because their testimony is powerful and they are healed, made whole, and complete by God. God will use you in a mighty way in every area of your life.

I thank and praise God for you Sister Cheryl Kehl' and the passion He has given you for His people.  No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and His love is made complete in us (1 John 4:12) Friends can definitely bring God's presence to us in a human, physical, hugging, crying, laughing way. The struggles of life are much more oppressive if you have no one with whom to share them. But to have friends, we must also be a friend. I thank God for each WOG in this powerful movement of God, and  pray that we continually remain connected. I am excited for all the He is doing and will do in each of our lives. May he give you the desires of your heart as you continue delighting yourself in Him. My third grade sister in Christ who have remained my prayer partner over 50 years until this day. once said If you need a hug I'll be your pillow. If you need to be happy I'll be your smile. But anytime you need a friend, I'll just be me. The Value of friends. There are so many hurting people out there waiting for you to smile, giving them hope in Christ Jesus and becoming their friend. God bless you for all  you are and desire to do for God's people. Mother Shirley Lee

I know that God is calling me to be a intercessor to be in prayer for others and myself, I have discerning call on my life, I also have the gift of prophesy but I have to honestly say that I have not learned to tap into it fully, and I wanted to take this eight week course to find out if their is any other calling that I am called to in the ministry.

It is important to know and be clear on what your call is from God! We know that many are called but few are chosen. When we seek God, when we are being fed spiritually and are in our word. God speaks and he gives us conformation.

Many of us have multiple calls on our Life and that is why we experience much warfare. God said he would not put more on us than what we could bare.

Our call lines up with what we go through, for instance with what I went through as a child and teen. I have been lead to work with teens, especially girls, but boys as well.

I know that Encouraging others is a gift God has given me and it came out of my pain and suffering. God always uses our experiences to propel us into our Destiny, it teaches us how to teach, it helps to give us our credentials.

God teaches us through our Life issues, then he uses it for his Glory!

I'm not sure exactly what my call is because of the various gifts I have he has given me the gift of dancing and running. The gift of writing poetry, words of encouragement, maybe even words of wisdom at times. He has also given me the gift to speak. In the few months I have given my life to Christ God has used people to speak to me whether prophetic or just words of encouragement or even wisdom. I know praise dancing is a ministry but it has been confirmed a few times that that is not the only thing I will be doing. I was told and believe that God is going to use every inch of me for his glory and I'll be all to honored to let him.
