Joshua 1:7-8 Amplified Bible (AMP)

Only you be strong and very courageous, that you may do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you. Turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go.

This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

Keep in mind, for instance, that it's common for your mind to wander during meditation, no matter how long you've been practicing meditation. If you're meditating to calm your mind and your attention wanders, slowly return to mediation,  and focus on the word.

Experiment, and you'll likely find out what types of meditation work best for you and what you enjoy doing. Adapt meditation to your needs at the moment. Remember, there's no right way or wrong way to meditate. What matters is that meditation helps you reduce your stress and feel better overall.

If stress has you anxious, tense and worried, consider trying meditation. Spending even a few minutes of meditation can restore your calm and inner peace.

Meditation has been practiced for thousands of years since the beginning of time. Meditation originally was meant to help deepen understanding of the sacred and power, success, strength, and authority of life. These days, meditation is commonly used for relaxation and stress reduction.

Meditation can give you a sense of calm, peace and balance that benefits both your emotional well-being and your overall health.

And these benefits don't end when your meditation session ends. Meditation can help carry you more calmly through your day and may improve certain medical conditions.

When you meditate, you clear away the information overload that builds up every day and contributes to your stress. It allows you to be closer to God, Jesus, Holy Spirit, and the gifts that are inside of you.

The emotional benefits of meditation can include:

  • Gaining a new perspective on stressful situations
  • Building skills to manage your stress
  • Increasing self-awareness
  • Focusing on the present
  • Reducing negative emotions
  • Obtain peace, joy, love, and energy
  • It builds your faith, focus, prayer life, worship, and study time in the word of God.
  • It allows you to walk in complete freedom

Meditation helps eliminates many illness, sickness, and diseases, that are attacks from the enemies.

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Asthma
  • Cancer
  • Depression
  • Heart disease
  • High blood pressure
  • Pain
  • Sleep problems

Meditation is an umbrella term for the many ways to a relaxed state of being. There are many types of meditation and relaxation techniques that have meditation components. All share the same goal of achieving inner peace. You just have to find out which one works for you best.

Here are some ways you can practice meditation on your own, whenever you choose:

  • Breathe deeply. This technique is good for beginners because breathing is a natural function.

Focus all attention on your breathing. Concentrate on feeling and listening as you inhale and exhale through your nostrils. Breathe deeply and slowly. When your attention wanders, gently return your focus to your breathing.

  • Scan your body. When using this technique, focus attention on different parts of your body. Become aware of your body's various sensations, whether that's pain, tension, warmth or relaxation.

Combine body scanning with breathing exercises and imagine breathing heat or relaxation into and out of different parts of your body.

  • Walk and meditate. Combining a walk with meditation is an efficient and healthy way to relax. You can use this technique anywhere you're walking, such as in a tranquil forest, on a city sidewalk or at the mall, or a place that God takes you in your quiet time.
  • Engage in prayer. Prayer is the best known and most widely practiced example of meditation. Spoken and written prayers are one of the most powerful tools of mediation, and it is effective.
  • Read and reflect. Many people report that they benefit from reading the word of God, poems, inspirational books, and writing in journals. and taking a few moments to quietly reflect on their meaning. Is one of the most relaxing and peaceful moments of mediation.
  • Focus your love and gratitude. In this type of meditation, you focus your attention on loving yourself, loving your family, helping others, being a blessing to the people in the kingdom of God. However, compassion and gratitude for your thoughts are how God gives you the next direction of what he wants and needs you to do next. You can also close your eyes and visualize a place in the heavenly realms, where God want you to go next.
  • Lose yourself in Gods word, meditation, and in the Spiritual Bliss of Heaven, and watch how prosperous you be in everything you set your hands too.
My eyes anticipate the night watches and I am awake before the cry of the watchman, that I may meditate on Your word.

It is time to MEDITATE like never before. Let's do it..

Ne'eman yes it is Apostlee

Amen

AMEN

Meditation on and in the Word r not talked about often. However , there r many Scriptures that speak on meditating on God's Word. When we do this we r delighting ourselves in Him. Healing, Deliverance, Peace, Direction, Instruction, Prosperity and so many other things come from meditating on His Word. No matter the act/form of meditation we use, make sure we have the Word written on and in our hearts night and day. Being strong and of good courage in whatever we set out to do and Observe to do all the law. The more U practice it, the more of a habit it will become. One's mind need to be free of scattered thoughts in order to truly focus on the Scriptures. Like Philippians 4:8 (NKJV) says "Finally brethren, whatever things r true, whatever things r noble, whatever things r just, whatever things r pure, whatever things r lovely, whatever things r of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy----"meditate" on these things. A lot can fall under that umbrella of meditation. The hand shows: hear, read, study, memorize and Meditate

Ne'eman i agree 100%  meditating gose a long way and therrs plenty ways to do so as long as we have the word written in our hearts. Ne'eman

As difficult as it is to walk down that straight and narrow path~ it leads to life, and prosperity where ever we go! In regards to meditation~ meditating upon the Lord alone is sweet, peaceful, and healing. In-addition to meditating upon the word of God and soaking in God’s glorious word… You can’t help but become free from stress and turmoil, a shift and a transformation is inevitable.

Amen, I love this!!

Meditating on the word clears the path for a clearer understanding and a closer relationship with God. Its a Spiritual renewing!

Powerful teaching on mediation just gose in line with this months teaching on SWB=Happiness, Sensory being connceted to the mind, conscious and subconscious mind...

Bless you Apostle Trina, yes Meditation is the key to a success, healing, prosperity, deeper relationship with God. In addition, it increases your Anointing, refresh, renew, and regenerate the mind, body, soul, and spirit. I love to meditate daily. It is a requirement during the day and night for me. When I was a child, I use to make fun of my older cousin, who use to do it. Now, I understand why he did it all the time.

Praise God
