It’s Already Done…Just Receive It!

“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”   Luke 10:19 (AMP)

 

Are you waiting for God to “give” to you something that He has already made available for you to receive?  I’ve recently been hearing quite a few people expressing that they are waiting for God to “move” in a given situation…. waiting for God to heal them; waiting for God to deliver… and the list could go on.

 

We must come to the realization that in most circumstances, we are waiting for God to do something that He has already made the provision for.   Usually, because we don’t have the proper knowledge (my people perish for lack of knowledge!  Hosea 4:6); we don’t know that we only have to RECEIVE the provision that has already been made available to us.  We have to also remember that our words have the power to change any situation (death and life ARE in the power of MY tongue.  Proverbs 18:21).

 

Here’s an example.  One Sunday morning when I awoke, my eye was swollen, red, feeling scratchy and inflamed.  Now, when I looked at it, I could have said, “I have conjunctivitis (pink eye)”.  However, I said, “Lord, I receive your healing for my eye in the name of Jesus.”  As I washed it with warm salt water; I further said, “Now Lord as I do this in the natural, I expect you to apply your “Super” to my “Natural” so that this eye can RECEIVE  total healing. The entire process maybe took 5 or 10 minutes.  Then I proceeded to get ready for church.  Well, before I went to church, my eye had received the healing! 

 

Now, I didn’t ask God to heal my eye.  I didn’t wait to “see” what was going to happen.  Why? Because He has already told me that He has given ME power over all sickness and disease.  God will never do something that He has given us the power to do.  So, I had to do my part – which was to stand on the Word of God.  Not to beg and plead with Him to do something.    Usually our problem isn’t that we don’t have the power.  Our dilemma is that we don’t know how to properly apply the power that has been given to us.   Far too often we are synonymous to a starving person, who sits beside a refrigerator which is full of cooked food; and is praying day after day for the Lord to fill their hungry stomach; and telling the Lord that they are hungry!  

 

Healing…. For EVERY aspect of my being; spiritual, emotional, financial, etc.; has already been made available.  If I truly believe that Jesus bore all of my sicknesses and diseases (Isaiah 53:5) – then why would I have to ask God to do something that has already occurred? 

 

Daily, our level of faith must be increased.  We must begin to believe that our God is who He proclaims to be. The reason why it is imperative that we study the names of God is so that our minds can grasp a physical concept of who God is in the realm of the Spirit.  Therefore, as we learn to continually renew our minds; then our thoughts will change; and then the words that we release from our mouths will change.   We will learn how the phrase our words so that we will release our statements from a positive rather than negative platform.   So, instead of saying, “I don’t have that much faith”,… you would say something like, “My level of faith is increasing”.  Instead of saying, “I feel sick”…. Something like, “I feel like I need to apply some healing” would be said.

I challenge you to begin to curtail the words which you release from your mouth into the realm of the spirit.

 

Remember……the Word of God does work…. I just have to learn how to WORK the WORD!

Profession But No Possession

 

“Not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.  Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity”.                                                                        Matthew 7:21-23

 

 

 

In our world today we are walking in some of the greatest deceptions that the world has ever known.  What the real dilemma  is, is that the body of Christ is just as guilty as the non believers.  Society has conditioned us to PROFESS what we don’t POSSESS. Profession is what I say – Possession is what I have.

 

For example, we drive cars that we claim belong to us – but in all actuality… they don’t belong to us – they belong to the bank.  So, we are professing without possessing.

We live in homes – that we claim are ours…. But we really can’t rightfully place ownership on them until the financial obligations have been fully satisfied.

 

What about the credit cards? Imaginary money! – Profession but no Possession.

 

In the economic system, and in our everyday living; we may be able to get away with Professing without Possession.  But when it comes to God and the Spiritual realm that just

won’t work.  God knows those who truly possess His power and authority.  Our adversary also knows. Therefore, the only presence of ignorance lies within our own soulish area. 

 

Some people wonder why they are constantly succumbing to the negative consequences in life.  It’s simply because they are Professing but not Possessing!  Different day, different year, same issue?  Profession but no Possession! 

 

 The Word of God makes it very plain.

Luke 6:46 “And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say? “

 

 John 5:39  “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:”

 

Titus 1:16  “They claim to know God, but by their actions they deny Him. They are detestable, disobedient and unfit for doing anything good.”

 

Soooo.  How do we begin to Possess what we Profess?

  1. Permit your life to be in alignment with the Word of God.
  2. Be more concerned about pleasing God than people.
  3. Take a stand for God – and refuse to back down.
  4. Recognize the stronghold of fear that is prevalent in your life.
  5. Ask God for forgiveness, repent – and …..

                                        Be determined to align your profession with your possession!

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

 

 

As we begin to restore our broken boundaries, we must realize that if our ear is not disciplined  -we will not have the ability to  recognize the prophetic instructions from the Lord.  We have been given specific orders; however, without an “ear to hear” we will continue to proceed through every day conducting “business as usual”.

 

To live a life that has been crucified requires that we re-establish and maintain boundaries.    Therefore, I must be determined that I will; whatever the cost; not permit the cares, pleasures and lifestyles of this world, persuade me to permit my God given boundaries to become broken.   

 

Today, we are witnessing the effects of “broken boundaries” in our homes, our government…and what’s even worst, within the body of Christ.   The body of Christ as a whole has the power to totally uproot and overthrow every diabolical decision that our government attempts to impose upon us.   However, because we have permitted so many boundaries to become broken; the Holy Spirit who resides WITHIN us is no longer living THROUGH us. 

 

We must at all times remain cognizant of the fact that the boundaries which God has established for our lives must remain intact.  Sadly to say; far too many of us have expanded the perimeters which God has established to guard our spirit, soul and body.  We have gradually, inch by inch removed the “ancient landmarks”.  Therefore, as a result of these broken boundaries; the body of Christ as a whole has loss her stamina, power, authority and respect.  Of course… there are a few groups here and there who are attempting to make an impact.  However, when you consider the amount of people who profess to be Christians and who have surrendered their lives to the Lord; and compare it to the influence that we are exhibiting in major decision making; it is evident that we have too many broken boundaries.

 

For an example; I can remember in times past when the “real” Saints didn’t play numbers; now you have houses of worship sponsoring trips to the casinos….. Broken boundaries.  Previously, Saints didn’t watch various programs on the television; now I hear and see many talking about the latest weekly series (night time soap operas!)…… Broken boundaries.  We have also broken the boundaries when considering what we permit our spiritual diets to contain.  Most spiritual diets today aren’t composed of enough spiritual nutrition to sustain a newborn Saint…..Broken boundaries. 

 

Let’s eagerly begin to reestablish the broken boundaries in our lives on allowing the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to truly live through us.  This means taking a non-compromising stand for everything that God opposes….regardless!  This means no negotiating or “plea bargaining” when it comes to what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we say, what we wear; our giving and our living; our dispositions and our attitudes. 

 

So… because we have been crucified with Christ, trust God! We must tune in to that realm where the prophetic voice is as audible and natural to us as taking our next breath! We must allow the life that we now live, to be a living sacrifice of a lifestyle that exemplifies the power, and the authority of the Holy Spirit…. who already inhabits our spirit.  The world needs what we have. 

 

Therefore, we must, at any cost, refuse to permit our boundaries to remain broken!  We must at any cost remain militant and determine in our quest to restore the broken boundaries. Lastly, we must at any cost maintain an alert, discerning ear; sensitive to the prophetic voice of God!

 

REGARDLESS!!!!

Enhanced Instruments of Righteousness

Special Note: Many will read no further than the title.  Therefore, if you are reading this – you are possibly on the road to the level of maturity that is required for this season.

Enhanced Instruments of Righteousness

“………..but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”  Romans 6:13b

What do you hear?  A new sound has been dispatched from the heavens and is seeking new instruments.  This sound is seeking the instruments that have the ability to receive it and blend it properly so that it forms a new chord! 

In this season, we must listen with the ear of our spirit for the new chord.  As we hear it, we must receive it into our spirits.  Then it becomes our responsibility to share it and to instruct others in the proper disciplinary spiritual insights, which are required for them to become “new instruments”.

This new sound is a call to alertness, a call to dedication, a call to preparation, a call to discipline, and a call to true holiness.  The message is the same; however the tactical maneuvers have been enhanced.  In this season; God is requiring His true worshippers to hear a sound; which has been released from a dimension that has not previously been available to them.  

As this new sound is received here on earth, then blended by many (unified) and released back to the Lord - it will ascend as one voice; one perfected sound unto the Lord.  Although in the realm of the spirit - we may hear several complex chords they will still ascend as one voice; one perfected praise resonating from every country, globally ascending unto the Lord. 

This new sound, once we have received it into our spirits, will enable our souls to become transformed into the expressed mind and will of God. Now, at this point, our minds will have the capability of becoming renewed, and our bodies will be disciplined enough to be brought under the subjection of the Holy Ghost; and presented as a living sacrifice.  Our fleshly desires and appetites will no longer pose a hindrance in this spiritual battle.

Many prophetic gatherings - true prophetic gatherings, are receiving the manifestation and the divine presence of the Lord as never before, simply because they have disciplined their spirits; and have heard the new sound. 

No more “church” as usual!  It’s a new day and there’s a new sound that needs to be released among the people of God – by those who have the maturity to hear it.  Maturity is produced through endurance.  Endurance is manifested by availing ourselves to the presence of the Lord  - where Spirit  (Holy Spirit) to spirit (our spirit) communication is present.

This new sound - prophetic in nature, has no limits and no boundaries! Yet, its nature and it focus is discipline, its character is divine and its application is strategic.

Leaders, Warriors, the new sound has been released…..

The Big Fish Are in The Deep Waters!

Therefore….It’s Time To Move Your Anchor….Again!!!

………… Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. Luke 5:4

 

The word for today is one of encouragement and congratulations.  For the Lord has said that it doesn’t matter who you are; if you’ve committed yourself to advancing your walk with Him - you are to be commended.  You’ve successfully conquered all that the enemy has thrown upon you.  You’ve excelled on your current level and within your current dimension.  The time has now come for you to take your spiritual walk into your uncharted waters.  However, bear in mind that promotion is a double sided coin.  While we ascend to the highest plateau in one dimension; upon reaching that next dimension, we are once again on the ground level. 

 

In the natural, we can usually realize our growth and know when we made the necessary accomplishments which are required for advancement.  However, far too often in the realm of the Spirit we don’t recognize the signs.   

 

As you continue to progress into this new season, move your anchor into deeper waters.  The deeper waters will produce those boisterous waves and the unpredictable undercurrents.   But you are now ready to ride out the waves while maintaining your focus in the midst of every storm.   Navigating through the deep waters will prove to be very advantageous.   Launch out into the deep.  Stretch your faith!  One will never receive mountain moving faith or produce “a prison door releasing praise”, while routing a course through shallow waters.

 

Some are constantly asking God to manifest and to “move” in their worship services – yet they have the same agenda,  and adhere to the same mannerism in their worship services…year after year after year!!!  God is saying that He wants to honor your request, however you come with your own preplanned agenda!  If we give God the opportunity – He will, in this new season – show Himself to us in a completely enhanced manifestation and demonstration!

 

Leaders! (and potential leaders) Don’t permit the “spirit of passivity” to become a comfort zone.  This spirit has begun to occupy the seats in our churches simply because WE are not moving our anchors. WE must continue to take the proper measures to advance ourselves, if we are to lead those whom have been untrusted to us to the next level and to the next dimension within each new level.

 

Consider this:

Have your church services become so “routine” that they fail to permit the move of the Holy Ghost?

Then it's time for an anchor to be moved!

Note: Remember, an emotionally charged service is not necessarily the evidence that the Holy Ghost is at work.  

Are souls no longer receiving the conviction of the Holy Ghost?  

Then it's time for an anchor to be moved!

Are people coming in and leaving the services, still unbroken under the anointing of the Holy Ghost?  

Then it's time for an anchor to be moved.

 

Lastly, remember..the deep waters are not heavily populated.  Don’t become overly concerned about those who are not ready to accompany you.   Jehovah Shamah will alway (no “s”) and always be there!

Therefore:

  1. Seek the face of God in fasting and prayer for divine revelations, wisdom and power.  Maintain your focus and permit your fasting and praying to be purpose driven.
  2. Then... Pick up your anchor.  Uproot and carefully weed out every hindering spirit. Wisdom is vital!
  3. Launch out into the deeper waters by elevating your level of expectation, by embracing and not avoiding difficult situations and by asking God to uniquely use you to manifest or to give birth to a level of faith that has no limits. Move forward cautiously but not fearfully.
  4. Watch as the materialization of God’s promises become a part of your daily walk.

 

Saints! Move your anchor and allow God to prove Himself faithful to you and the ministry.  (Even if you are not the Pastor or one of the ministry leaders – if you move your anchor and begin to launch your spiritual walk into deeper waters – you will glean the ability to greatly impact your entire church or ministry!)

 

This is the season….. Now is the time…. And YOU are the channel!

True Love Comes Only From God

.... .God is love…….. I John 4:7b

 

It never ceases to amaze me how people who don’t: know, comprehend, believe in or even acknowledged the very existence of our God; can set aside a day ….. that honors the very essence of who He is!

 

Our Sword simply states that “GOD” is love.  Therefore, anything that is outside of who God is cannot be categorized as love.  This concept of God as love is difficult for many to grasp – especially those of us who use English as our primary language.   Most of the other dialects use different words to express their emotions of various degrees.  However, we use a singular word “love” to express our feelings in every arena - from food to our possessions, to our spouses, to our children, to our pets – EVERYTHING for which we have a deep affection.

 

However, anything that is not in accord with who God is, is not Love.  Many, for centuries have adapted the enemy’s concepts and have been so misinformed concerning the definition of love. Man has thought that he can apply this word love to and in any situation.

 

To simply state it - every affection or relationship that is outside of, and is not in conformity with God’s word, is not truly love.  Call it what you will – however you are only deceiving yourself!

 

Man has made an attempt to fill that place in his life that God has reserved just for Himself with various “counterfeits”.  When we begin to understand the true Love of our God – then we will aggressively begin to remove every imitation, every fake expression, every “pacifier” that the enemy has provided. 

 

Although Valentine’s Day was on yesterday, we still need to be enlightened concerning what true love entails. Sooooo here we go…. let’s set the record straight! If you’re involved in any relationship be it: extra-marital, adulterous (sex with a married partner that is not yours), fornication (sex without of marriage), same gender relationships, or you are intimately involved with a “significant other” - and you THINK that you are in “LOVE” – wake up and smell the coffee!  You have settled for something much less than the true love God has intended for you to enjoy.   All of these are outside of what God – who is Love – has decreed as LOVE!   

 

God’s love for us has no limits or boundaries.  God’s love is expressive.  However it is to be expressed within HIS guidelines!  It’s because of His love that He has placed inside of each of us, that we have a desire, to also communicate that love to others.  However, it’s His game and He has set the stakes high!  Don’t lower your standards.  Don’t diminish your royal, priestly position (I Peter 2:9) by becoming involved in the trickery of the enemy.   Be determined that you will only accept the best and discard the rest!  Be determined to go “against the grain”.  Dare to be different!  But above all dare to be RIGHT!

 

GOD IS LOVE  ….. and whatever is outside of His standards and His guidelines….is not love!

Read: I Corinthians 13, I Corinthians16:4, Psalm 143:8, Colossians 3:14, Proverbs 3:3-4, I John 4:16 & 19 & 20. Read these verses in various translations to glean an enhanced and in-depth understanding of the love of the Lord…..TRUE LOVE!!!!

…..From the Inside Out

 “Woe to you, Pharisees, and you religious leaders—hypocrites! You are so careful to polish the outside of the cup, but the inside is foul with extortion and greed.”

 Matthew 23:25 (The Living Bible)

 

We are entering into a time when we in the Christian arena turn our focus towards the period of temptation and persistence that our Saviour victoriously endured.   This season of Lent affords us the opportunity to learn many valuable lessons from the Lord. 

 

Christ was able to withstand every temptation that He encountered because He lived His life from the inside out.  He didn’t allow the occurrences that transpired to diminish who He knew that He was.  He maintained His focus and never lost sight of His ultimate goal.  He lived His life from the inside out.

 

In my opinion, the duck is a perfect example for today’s meditation.  Many people don’t like to eat duck because they say that it’s too greasy.  No doubt, those of you here in America have heard the expression, “Like water rolls off of the duck’s back.” (Or something to that effect.)  Well, the reason why water will roll off of the back of a duck, is because the back of the duck is composed with glands that constantly secrete oil.  Just to summarize the whole process; when water falls on the back of the duck, the water can’t penetrate the oil covering that’s being produced – from the inside to the outside! Therefore, that water which is on the outside, has little or no effect on the duck, because of what’s on the inside of the duck.  The back of the duck is so saturated with the oil from the inside – that it has a perpetual protective shield to aid in its defense against oppositions.

 

As we go through this Lenten Season I would encourage you to not just give up something for a 40 day period. Why not during this period of consecration…. allow the power of the Holy Spirit to illuminate some of the areas on the “inside” of you where He is not in full control?  This year, as we progress through the Lenten Season, let’s draw our attentions more to the Spirit realm, and correlate it to the sensual realm.  (What is discerned by our physical senses; what we see, hear, taste, touch and smell.) 

 

Our only chance for successfully walking down our God ordained path, is to learn to live this life from the inside out.  What’s on the inside will come out.   Matthew 23:26 instructs us to clean the inside of the cup and the outside will be come clean. 

 

So during this 40 day period, initiate a permanent change. Be determine to allow your “back” to become so saturated with the oil of the Holy Spirit that dwells in you; that whatever the enemy throws you way, will have no lasting effect. …… it will just roll on off……because you are living your life from the inside out!

 

“You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You burnish the surface of your cups and bowls so they sparkle in the sun, while the insides are maggoty with your greed and gluttony. Stupid Pharisee! Scour the insides, and then the gleaming surface will mean something.” Matthew 23:25-26 (The Message Bible)

“P.E.A.C.E.” (Requested Repost)

How can I still have peace?

 

It doesn’t matter what I’m encountering….I can still have peace.  However I must realize that God has given to me a strategy that must be implemented.  I must also realize that peace is not the absence of adversity – but a mindset.  

 

So… How can I renew my mind to the extent that I can receive God’s solution and apply it to every situation?   The following can assist.

 

P -“Presence” - If I invite the presence of God to intervene; (Exodus 33: 14)

 

E -“Endure”   - If I endure as a warrior, not whine like a wimp; and view my situation as an open door and not a dead end;

                                (James 1:22; II Timothy 2:3)

 

A -“Ask”        - If I ask God for guidance and the proper strategy to successfullly  outwit the enemy in this situation; and don’t just do what “I”  

      think is best;  (Proverbs 3:5-7)

 

C -“Cry”         - If I cry out to the Lord first– and not to other people;     (Psalm 30:2)

 

E -“Expect”   - If I expect and accept. Expect God to give me a strategy – so I’ll  keep an open ear  - knowing that I must accept the process.

                               (Philippians 4:13; Psalm 86:11; Psalm 25:5)

 

So….YES! I can still have PEACE in the midst of it all…..But the key is to: Invite in the PRESENCE of God; Be determined to ENDURE; ASK God for help; CRY to Him and EXPECT Him to change ME even when the situation doesn’t APPEAR to be changing.

On your mark……Get set……WAIT!

 

The waiting game!  For many of us, life seems to have given us a first class seat in this section of time called “waiting”.  We seem to always think that we are ready to advance to our next place.  We seem to think that we are focused and in the correct lane….we are disciplined and in the correct position ….yet we still haven’t heard the correct sound that signals us to move forward……so we WAIT.

 

Waiting is a word that’s familiar to everyone – across the board.  From the youngest infant to the oldest adult: the rich, the wealthy, the poor, the educated and unlearned – everyone has had their dealings with this thing called waiting. 

 

Although we don’t always view it as so, when we are waiting, we are actually saying, “I haven’t given up….. I’m still anticipating that something phenomenal is going to happen”.

 

So, as we wait in the physical realm; in the realm of the spirit our mindset must remain:

W - Watchful.  Maintain your attentiveness; stay on the lookout.  Don’t fall asleep! (I Peter 5:8)

A -  Active.  Mark time if you must – but do something! Don’t permit your spirit to become lazy.  Proverbs 6:6)

I  -   Ideological.  Never allow your creative abilities to cease.  There are still new inventions to be discovered!  Just because you are waiting in one area doesn’t mean              that you  can’t progress in other areas.  (I Corinthians 2:9)

T – Truthful .  Uphold your level of integrity in word and in deed.  Don’t begin to lower your  standards nor your expectations.   (II Corinthians 8:21)

 

So, against popular belief… the waiting game does have its positive aspects.  However, it’s our decisions and our expectations (or the lack of them!) that permit us to make lemonade from our lemons, rather than drink its juice and complain about the tartness!

Did You Hear That?

“And when you shall HEAR the sound of marching in the top of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.”  I Chronicles 14:15

 

Today the Lord, our Jehovah Perazim (the God of Breakthrough) is confirming His position in our current battle.  Just as He was with David, He is reminding us that His wisdom still supersedes that of the adversary. 

When reading this story in I Chronicles (or II Samuel) we discovered that Jehovah Perazim required  David’s response  to be quick and at precisely the right time.  Let’s consider David’s responsibility.

  1. David had to know the voice of the Lord.
  2. David had to remain alert and attentive in the realm of the spirit.
  3. David had to already have his weapons and be positioned offensively.

When we attempt to correlate this story to our daily lives, we must remember that:

  1. David sought the Lord for direction prior to the onset of the battle.
  2. The Lord went before David and “Broke Through” the front line of the enemy’s defense.
  3. Whatever the Lord has done before, He still has the power to do again.

I found it interesting that David was told to LISTEN for a certain sound. If we are going to know exactly when to advance, conquer and reclaim our territory; then we must critique or fine tune our ability to recognize a specific sound. Far too often we are listening to and follow the wrong sound!  For example, David was instructed to listen for a specific sound - the sound of marching.    

Next, the sound was in a designated pace - the tree tops.  Not on the ground, nor in the air, but in the top of the mulberry trees.

So because Jehovah Perazim had already preceded David, he (David) was able to be victorious.

Our God is still operating as Jehovah Perazim today.  He has broken through enemy territory and is permitting us to recover all! 

On yesterday, we talked about a mystical bird in West Africa called the Sankofa.  The motto of this bird is “Take It Back”.  What’s distinct about this bird is that its feet are facing forward, while its head is facing backward.  Our Jehovah Perazim is reminding us to keep in our minds the miracles, signs and wonders that the Lord has previously manifested; as we walk forward into our new places, dreams and aspirations.

But we must LISTEN for our specific marching orders. 

Don’t lose faith; which will permit a delay in your recovery.  Don’t become discouraged - which can cause you not to hear or recognize the voice of God concerning His specific instructions; advising you how and when to advance - and recover all!

Just as David did…. Seek the face of God, Reference the former manifestations of God’s hand, Listen for the Sound, and March your way to victory.  KEEP THE FAITH!!

No More Fear …..Just Faith!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”.                                                                                                                                                 I John 4:18

 

 

In what area of your life has fear become your favorite pillow, your warm comforter, your pair of fuzzy slippers or your favorite latte??  Or maybe your escape from fear leads you to binges of over or under eating, excessive spending sprees, or becoming involved in behavior patterns that are totally ungodly. 

The spirit of fear is always looking for opportunities to enter, dominate and paralyze us.  Usually, when the time arises for us to embark upon and advance into a new place in the Lord, he (the spirit of fear) – will faithfully grace our stage for a grand performance!  In other words that spirit of fear will always seek to gain an entrance into our spirit man – and play a major role in preventing us from moving forward in the Lord. 

However it’s time for us to “take the bull by the horns” and aggressively pursue our next adventure in the Lord.  Remember, walking in and by faith isn’t always walking in the absence of fear.  There will be times when you will have to move forward while “feeling” afraid….  But you must continue to advance.  If your level of faith is going to increase, you can’t stand still and wait until you don’t feel afraid. 

I would like to encourage you to  again embrace the prayer below that I had written quite a few years ago concerning the spirit of fear.  Remember….you are in control and the decision is yours.  Your actions will always reveal whether you have chosen to SIT in fear or the WALK by faith.

 Father God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door.  I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again.

 I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

The Optical Illusion

Did you see what you thought that you saw?!

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

 

Visual illusions; better referred to as optical illusions; have taught us that what we think that we see, doesn’t always reveal what is actually present.  In a visual illusion, your brain attempts to process information received from your optic nerve.  However, although many people can view the same picture they will not perceive the same image.  This is thought to be a result of the complexity and individuality of our brain cells; as well as all of the occurrences and information that we have received throughout our lifetimes. Therefore, we have learned that we can only believe about a half of what we see with our physical eye. 

 

As the end of time as we have now perceived it quickly draws nigh, it behooves us to more eagerly develop our spiritual senses.  We must learn not to sensor everything through what we see with our physical eye, but to increase the awareness of our spirits (conscience, intuition, and communion with God)….. And to permit that knowledge to impact our soul (mind, will and emotions).

 

The enemy has painted most of the visual illusions that we cling to daily – and that we perceive as truth.  Usually, our number one blockage or hindrance in our spiritual walk has resulted from nothing more than an optical illusion.  The obstructions are because of some concept or precept that we have “viewed” and now its residue is still lingering….preventing us from aggressively and effectively defeating the enemy….at all times.

 

II Corinthians 4:18 summarizes this entire concept.  Here Paul is telling us not to look at the things that we see…..because they are subject to change.  I would like to encourage you to focus more on the “weightier” things in life.  For example, many people will read every label prior to purchasing their food or clothing and exercise religiously. …nothing wrong here.  However, their focus on the edification of their spirit man is not as meticulous.

 

Let’s no longer receive the optical illusion that this world has presented.  Let’s take off the spiritual blinders….and stop living within the perimeters….the “lies” that the enemy has given to us.  Walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  We are still privy to every blessing proclaimed in Deuteronomy 28.  Don’t allow an optical illusion to deceive you!

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

 

 Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense must be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance – we will immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to persevere under misfortunes and trials; to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances… then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”. 

 

Years ago, many people would use a bowl of fresh fruit as a centerpiece on their tables. When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl is not digestible. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t fulfilled its purpose and yielded the benefit for which it was created.   Now… if the fruit is going to be consumed by our bodies, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be broken down and transformed into another state so that it will produce the ability to be absorbed by our bodies.  Then it will be totally useful, valuable and fulfilling its created purpose. 

 

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure …..and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….WEARY during our processes of alteration.  Sometimes we become weary because we have focused only on our spiritual man and haven’t amended the activities that will benefit our physical man.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation. 

 

Change requires Endurance…..and Endurance also produces Change!  It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to endure every facet of change as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change…. and not give up …..nor become weary!

From Fetters to Freedom

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron,      Psalm 149;6-8

 

There was a hymn entitled, “Jesus Breaks Every Fetter”.  Even though that song is rarely heard any more, its implication hasn’t lost its validity.  When we bring to mind thoughts concerning the word “fetter”, we can correlate them to various obstacles that the enemy attaches to us to delay our progress in the Lord.   Whether they be: areas of sin or weaknesses in the flesh; the phenomena of life; or circumstances totally beyond our control; - a fetter is anything that is tied to me which restricts my mobility and/or my advancement. 

 

There are those things; some of which WE have permitted or instituted.  Others could have been inherited or the consequences of circumstances which were beyond our control.  Nevertheless, these obstacles still continue: to shackle, bond, chain and yoke themselves to us.  Therefore our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit is diminished or none productive.  Many times we are attempting to assist others in a deepen walk with the Lord, yet we have not been freed ourselves of our many “fetters”……  However Jesus still breaks EVERY fetter.

 

What are some of the evidences that our fetters have been broken?  

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, my concern is to increase my relationship with the Lord - just because of who he is - not because of what he can do. 

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I will realize that as I increase in my love walk and in every other walk in my life - so will those with whom I am connected.  (The proof IS in the pudding!  Leaders.. We cannot any longer expect others to walk in a level of excellency that we are not committed to!) 

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, my appetites are disciplined and my motives pure.

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, the manifestation of the enemy’s work won’t frighten me, his maneuvers don’t surprise me and his schemes can’t outwit me.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I won’t just sing, “It is Well With My Soul”, but my life will exemplify and verify so.  (By your fruit shall you be known!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, the peace of God WILL rule my mind,  I WILL walk above EVERY circumstance in this life, and I WILL remain focused on and committed to the plans and purposes  that the Lord has assigned to me.

 

Therefore to obtain the freedom which will permit the peace of God to continually infiltrate our lives; surpassing all understanding;…. every fetter and its suppressing power must be broken!  

 

So ….its once again dependent upon the status of my mind! Once my mind has been liberated from its fetters – I will have the ability to be…and to maintain total freedom in every area of my life.  Then and only then will I have at my disposal the matured level of wisdom to advance from Fetters to Freedom.

…… Can’t run this race with those “cement boots”!

 

“We have all these great people around us as examples. Their lives tell us what faith means. So we, too, should run the race that is before us and never quit. We should remove from our lives anything that would slow us down and the sin that so often makes us fall.”    Hebrews 12:1 (ERV)  

 

Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins.”    Hebrews 12:1 (MSG)

 

 

In many instances we have turned from the sin – but we are still carrying too much excess “baggage”.  It’s time for an upgrade.  Let’s kick it up a notch.  In this season God is requiring a lifestyle of: discipline, integrity and diligence.

The Lord is saying, “Don’t lose what you’ve acquired during our 21-day consecration.”  It matters not the type of fast that you were engaged in; simply because your mind was focused EARNESTLY towards Him and His attributes – you have been thrust into a new dimension.  However, as you gradually return to your regular diet, don’t permit your mindset to return to: sinful (those things which are a transgression) or wicked (those things which may not be a sin, however, things that we become interwoven with and can taint our anointing) appetites.   To avoid returning or “slipping” backward; maintain a level of discipline; uphold a level of integrity and adhere to a level of diligence.  You must also release from your life EVERYTHING that is no longer necessary in this dimension.  Although some things may have been quite beneficial in the past; now….in this dimension…. they are only weights….cement boots!  In this dimension; in this portion of the race which you are now running – there is no place for unnecessary weight…. Cement Boots!

Can you identify the “cement boots” in your spiritual life?  God is daily revealing them to you.  Whatever or whomever He is attempting to strip from you - don’t try to cling on it or them.  Let them go! Trust God! 

When we fully trust Him – we will obey Him. Then we will have the ability to retain all that we have acquired during our time of consecration.

The Message We Send

The Message We Send

 

A while ago, I had ministered at a church that was having a revival for an entire month.  Their theme was: “The Message We Send”.  So I pose the question to you.  What is the message that you are sending to your: family, friends, haters, co-workers, neighbors and to the kingdom of darkness?

Well, without a doubt you should be sending the message:

                        “The Lord loves me, therefore, I Can’t Be Defeated!”

Your daily walk should prove as evidence to all – especially to the kingdom of darkness that you can’t be defeated – regardless!

Why?

  • I can’t be defeated because my mind has been and is continually being renewed with the Word of God. (Ephesians 4:22; Romans 12:2).
  • I can’t be defeated because I’ve learned how to discipline my spirit and to abide in the presence of the Lord. In other words…. I’ve learned how to pass through the outer court; and to permit my spirit to enjoy the inner court praise experience; in preparation for the worship experience that can only be found in the holy of holies. (John 4:24)
  • Above all, I can’t be defeated because I’m sold out and souled out. I’m convinced that God loves me!  (John 3:16).  Therefore, according to Romans 8:37-39 it doesn’t matter what the enemy may decide to inflict upon me, the love of God will: override, cancel, nullify and bring to naught every diabolical plot and plan. So I know no defeat because my soul is completely “souled out’.

 

 Hezekiah Walker expresses it like this:

"Souled Out"

I am souled out, my mind is made up;

 Who can separate us from the love Jesus?
Not death, nor life. 

Jesus paid the price, now I'm free from sin. I am souled out.
I've come through the fire, I've come through the rain. 

But God, He never left my side,
He's my comfort through all hurt and pain - I am souled out.
My heart is fixed, my mind's made up;

No room, no vacancies, I'm all filled up.
His Spirit lives in me and that's the reason I'm souled out!

 

Therefore, the message that we send should always and alway (no “s”) be:

              God loves me, therefore, “I Can’t Be Defeated”.

“So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didn’t hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing himself to the worst by sending his own Son, is there anything else he wouldn’t gladly and freely do for us? And who would dare tangle with God by messing with one of God’s chosen? Who would dare even to point a finger? The One who died for us—who was raised to life for us!—is in the presence of God at this very moment sticking up for us. Do you think anyone is going to be able to drive a wedge between us and Christ’s love for us? There is no way! Not trouble, not hard times, not hatred, not hunger, not homelessness, not bullying threats, not backstabbing, not even the worst sins listed in Scripture:

They kill us in cold blood because they hate you.

Shine the Spotlight

And Expose….Any Wicked or “Wickered” Way In Me

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”                                                                                                                                            Psalm 139: 23 & 24

 

 

When I consider the word wicked, I often refer to wicker furniture.  What differentiates this type of furniture is the fact that it has been uniquely processed.  Wicker refers to the weaving process that the material has under gone.  So wicker furniture has been woven in a way that will produce a certain effect.

 

Far too often our hearts have been interwoven with concepts, motives, ideologies, etc. which have produced in us a wickered or wicked way.  We have – in many instances unknowingly – been indoctrinated by traditions, rituals, and the like which have led us down the path to bondage.  (Note: We only need to refrain from traditions when they prevent the power and presence of God to be manifested.) We have within us areas which are still harboring the spirits of: anger, deceit, and fear.  Pride is still on board and has intricately been woven into our hearts causing us to unknowingly “bow” to various idols.   

 

Of course, none of us have erected ancient day idols in our homes; but what is worst is the fact that we have developed them within our hearts!   We, on many occasions; establish, pay homage to, and hold in too high esteem the reverence for “people, places and things” over our relationship with our God. A reverential respect and fear of God has not taken its rightful position within our hearts.    

 

Some relate “wicked ways” only to those who have not accept Christ as their Saviour.  However, anyone can, even after they have made their confession, house a heart from which flows: twisted, warped, perverse even bitter decisions and actions.

 

The true revelation of all that is within our hearts, will only be produced by an illumination from the Holy Spirit.  So, on a personal level; I need to sincerely seek the face of the Lord, and ask Him to reveal any and every wicked or wickered; carnal or ungodly way that is within me.  Then I must learn to succumb to His leading as He directs me to the path which will allow me to obtain a renewed heart; interwoven only with His character qualities– totally submitted and committed for His use…..REGARDLESS!!

….They are Only A Weight

No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.”  Hebrews 12:1 (The Message Bible)

 

Today the Lord has said that we are running this race…..and we are running well….however we are still carrying too much baggage.  God has said that we are still attempting to drag and pull everyone with us to our next place in Him.  Some – NO…. most of the people with whom you communicate on a daily basis are not ready to go with you!  They haven’t made the proper preparations and advancements in the realm of the spirit.

 

Everyone will not, has not and cannot receive nor embrace the mantle that the Lord has given unto you. They are just not ready to go where you are going.  The pace will be too rapid; the journey too long; the mission too intense and the level of strategic maneuvers too in-depth.  Therefore, even without your knowledge, they have become the hindrance – the weight, which is preventing you from running with the speed and endurance that you know you possess.

 

The Lord has also said: “In this new dimension, we must stay free, move quickly, cautiously, and quietly.  Don’t disclose the information that I give to you to everyone.  Only reveal what I tell you to reveal – to whom I direct you.  View everything, everything through the eyes of your spirit.  Listen through the ears of your spirit.  Sensitize and synchronize your spirit to the emotions of my Spirit – not your mind.  Rest in me to the point that nothing “catches” you in a state of being “unaware”.  Fear no man nor his position.  Go where I send you.  They are already waiting and expecting your arrival.”

 

In the dimension that you are now functioning, you must have a keener discernment, an enlighten awareness of My presence and the ability to position yourself from a pillar of supernatural wisdom.  This wisdom will transcend your experiences and your learned knowledge.  Daily ascend into the realm which operates above the battlefield of the demonic and satanic influences.  The time has come for the true worshippers to become unmasked and made known.  The day has come for miracles, signs and wonders to overwhelmingly be manifested through you – My called out and chosen ones. 

 

Again I warn you, saith the Lord, CUT THEM OFF….. they are only a WEIGHT…. And producing your “WAIT”  (Weary, Agitated, Increased, Tension) in the realm of the Spirit!

 

……And it is so!

The Virtues of Victory for 2024

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”   I John 5:4

 

What are some of the factors that will assist us as we strive to remain victorious?  How is  victory determined?  Here’s a simple acrostic.

 

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a mental image of my future state. 

                       “Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

 

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit increase by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening.

                  Therefore to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly and powerfully intensify every  area of my life.

                  But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make  progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;                          Jude 20   (AMP)

 

C -    Concentrate – Concentration equals an ability to focus.  Victory is never accomplished by  one who has loss their ability to maintain their focus.

                “And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on   the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2

 

T -    Trust – to gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels – from the inside out.

                  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5; Psalm 146:3 (ESV)

 

O -   Opposition – Accept the fact that there will always be oppositions; some will edify, some  will challenge and some are sent to destroy.  

                “....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the  world.” John 16:33

 

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.

                  To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.

                   Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

                  

Y -   Yoked - To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive burden; and only become  yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s plan and purposes for my  life.

           “….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

 

We can also observe that the letter “Y” is the last letter in the word victory.  The shape of this letter reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance forward.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

 

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”? 

The answer: To have a Vision; To Intensify my actions; To value the relevance of Consecration; To free up my Trust channels;  To expect Opposition,  To obey the Rules and To become Yoked only to what is ordained and established by Kingdom Principles.

 

“Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

Day 21- The Day of Victory

“There is no battle that I will become engaged in or encounter where I will not be victorious.”

“Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!”     Psalm 24:8

Lord, as this period of Consecration concludes, may I never forget your revealed perceptions and character qualities.  Daily you were reminding me of who you are, and that you alone have the authority, the power, and the wisdom, to enable me to become victorious, in every situation.

 

So this “IS” a day of victory because you have equipped me with the proper tools to successfully stand against the wiles of the enemy.

As I encounter various attacks throughout this year, may I remain focused on every concept of who you are.  I have obtained an increased awareness of your omniscient presence.  Since you, working through your Son Jesus, have already successfully defeated every adverse force – may I never forget that I have a blood brought right to the same victorious state. HALLELUJAH!

 

I can only emerge from this consecration knowing that whatever I encounter at this stage; in this dimension—I will be victorious!   You have been revealing and re-establishing in me for these past 20 days, every facet of who you.    May I remain cognizant of the fact that I am required to stand firm and unmovable totally engulfed in who you are,  if I am going to maintain my effectiveness in the realm of the spirit.  I am therefore equipped with every tool which is now necessary for my advancement, my encouragement and to maintain my stamina in you.

 

Because you are strong and mighty, because you are mighty in battle; I can truly proclaim….

“NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!”

Hallelujah—I AM VICTORIOUS!!!!
