Weapons of Mass Destruction

1. Praise is a weapon of mass destruction against the enemy's kingdom of darkness. We do not praise because we feel good. We praise because praise is a weapon of warfare, given to us by God through Jesus Christ. Psalm 149:5-9 says, "Let the saints be joyful in glory: let them sing aloud upon their beds. let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand; to execute vengeance upon the heathen, and punishments upon the people; to bind their kings with chains, and their nobles with fetters of iron; to execute upon them the judgment written: this honor have all his saints. Praise ye the Lord." Praise is also God's will for us (I Thess. 5:18), and when we are walking in the will of God, we are assured victory.

2. Dancing is a weapon of warfare against the enemy's kingdom. Judges 5:18-22 shows us how the people of God used dancing in the heat of battle: Zebulum and Naphtali were a people that jeoparded their lives unto the death in the high places of the field. The kings came and fought, then fought the kings of Canaan in Taanach by the waters of Megiddo; they took no gain of money. They fought from heaven; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera. The river of Kishon swept them away, that ancient river, the river Kishon. O my soul, thou hast trodden down strength. Then were the horse-hoofs broken by the means of the pransings, the pransings of their mighty ones.

3. Clapping is a weapon, we get a direct command from the Lord in Ezekiel 6:11a: "This is what the Sovereign Lord says: Strike your hands together" (NIV).

4. Stomping/marching is used as a weapon. The story of the children of Israel and the wall of Jericho is the perfect example of how effective stomping and marching is to our spiritual warfare (See Joshua 6:1-21). Ezekiel 6:11b tell us to stamp with thy foot, and say, Alas for all the evil abominations of the house of Israel! for they shall fall by the sword, by the famine, and by the pestilence."

5. Shouting is a weapon of mass destruction. This weapon also has its orgin in the battle of Jericho. When Joshua shouted, the walls of Jericho collapsed (See Joshua 6:1-21).

6. Music is a God given weapon against the forces of darkness. II Kings 3:15-19 says, "But now bring me a minstrel. And it came to pass, when the minstrel played, that the hand of the Lord came upon him. And he said, Thus saith the Lord, Make this valley full of ditches. For thus saith the LORD, Ye shall not see wind, neither shall ye see rain; yet that valley shall be filled with water, that ye may drink, both ye, and your cattle, and your beasts. And this is but a light thing in the sight of the LORD: he will deliver the Moabites also into your hand. And ye shall smite every fenced city, and every choice city, and shall fell every good tree, and stop all wells of water, and mar every good piece of land with stones."
