A Little One Shall Become a Thousand

Isaiah 60:22
A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one astrong nation: I the Lord will hasten it in his time.

This is the last version in Isaiah chapter 60. The chapter begins with the command to arise and shine because of the Glory of the LORD.

The number 1000 is a prophetic number in scripture that represents fullness and perfection, and eternity.

Exodus 20:6
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.

Psalm 50:10
For every beast of the forest is mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills.

Psalm 105:8
He hath remembered his covenant for ever, the word which he commanded to a thousand generations.

Revelation 20:4
And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.

THOUSAND therefore represents the FULLNESS, COMPLETION, and PERFECTION of God’s plans and purposes.

God’s purposes start off SMALL.

Luke 12:32
Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the kingdom.

God’s glory will take us from being little to A THOUSAND. In other words his blessing will cause us to move towards completion and fullness. His glory breaks limits. His glory causes INCREASE. His glory will bring you to a THOUSAND.
