Proverbs 12:24-25 New Living Translation (NLT)
24 Work hard and become a leader;
be lazy and become a slave.
25 Worry weighs a person down;
an encouraging word cheers a person up.
(Journal Notes: Work hard and become a Leader)
Proverbs 12:27-28 New Living Translation (NLT)
27 Lazy people don’t even cook the game they catch,
but the diligent make use of everything they find.
28 The way of the godly leads to life;
that path does not lead to death.
(Journal Notes: lazy people do not even use the gifts inside of them. However, people who know and confident in their gifts in God would use every resource they have to be successful, because of their diligence).
Ecclesiastes 11:1-2 New Living Translation (NLT)
The Uncertainties of Life
11 Send your grain across the seas,
and in time, profits will flow back to you.[a]
2 But divide your investments among many places,[b]
for you do not know what risks might lie ahead.
(Journal Notes: Give generously to others for your gifts will return to later on. Divide your gifts among many for you do not know what risks might lie ahead)
Ecclesiastes 11:4-9 New Living Translation (NLT)
4 Farmers who wait for perfect weather never plant.
If they watch every cloud, they never harvest.
5 Just as you cannot understand the path of the wind or the mystery of a tiny baby growing in its mother’s womb,[a] so you cannot understand the activity of God, who does all things.
6 Plant your seed in the morning and keep busy all afternoon, for you don’t know if profit will come from one activity or another—or maybe both.
Advice for Young and Old
7 Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning.
8 When people live to be very old, let them rejoice in every day of life. But let them also remember there will be many dark days. Everything still to come is meaningless.
9 Young people,[b] it’s wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do.
(Journal Notes: If you wait for perfect conditions you will ever get anything done. God ways are as hard to discern as the pathways of the wind and as mysteries, as a fetus is formed in a mothers womb. Be sure to stay fruitful and productive, and plant a variety of crops, for you will ever know which will grow from the seeds you have planted. Perhaps all of them will grow because of your determination and persistence. Light is so sweet to look at, it is empowering to become, and it is wonderful to see the Son. Young people it is wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it being God's vessel. Do everything that God has chosen you to do. Do not let anyone or anything hinder or stop you from walking in your God's purpose. Take it all in, breath in your great young life. However, remember you must give account to God for your actions and negative decisions you make, that is against his Good and positive plans for your life).
Proverbs 11:24-25 New Living Translation (NLT)
24 Give freely and become more wealthy;
be stingy and lose everything.
25 The generous will prosper;
those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.
(Journal Notes: When you give freely you become more wealthy. The more you give the more you receive. Close hands do not get to feel the blessings from God open hands, because of being stingy. When you are generous you prosper, be fulfilled, satisfied, refreshed, and restored).
Proverbs 11:27 New Living Translation (NLT)
27 If you search for good, you will find favor;
but if you search for evil, it will find you!
(Journal Notes: when you seek to do Good it comes back to you just like a boomerang. You become a magnet for all the Good Promises of God. When you seek for negative you become what you seek. Control your mind and mouth, and you will control your whole life).
