  • What comes from our bodies can bring about blessing and miracles to others, the people had high regards for peter's miracles working and they placed faith in the efficacy of even his shadow. All the people was healed even those who were not under the shadow of peter. People believed there was something special about peter and they began seeking proximity to him in hopes of having some power pass over them. It was not the first time people sought special blessing through a physical object, the paralyzed man in John 5 believed that water in a certain pool was troubled and could heal his lameness. Some Ephesians in Acts 19 believed that healing power was concentrated in articles of Paul's clothing. Some people today will put their trust in handkerchiefs that have been prayed over for their healing. It is in Jesus name and faith that comes through peter that gives complete healing to people, the people were not being healed by Peter's shadow, they were being healed as a direct answer to the apostle's prayer, Acts 4:30 says "stretch out your hand to heal and perform miracles, signs, and wonders, through the name of your holy servant Jesus". The miracles performed by the apostles were demonstrated of the Lord's power and mercy affirming Christ Jesus as savior and testifying that their message was true. I am glad that God's power to heal is not depended on anyone's ability to be in the right place at the right time , under the right conditions, shadows come and go, but God is constant.

  • Hallelujah!  Peter's shadow was able to heal the sick people, because that healing power was super-natural . Peter walked in the supernatural flow.  The healing didn't come from the shadow but from  the faith of the people believing that a great man of God posses these powers.

Acts 5:15-16. "They brought forth the sick into the streets, and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing might overshadow some of them. There came also a multitude out of the cities round about unto Jerusalem, bringing sick folks, and them which were vexed with unclean spirits, and they were healed every one."

God can heal even through a shadow as an instrument, or through no instrument at all. The people were so very eager to be healed, and looked upon Peter as a great man of God, that they expressed their desire by believing that Peter's shadow would be beneficial. But a multitude was healed who gathered in Jerusalem from the surrounding towns. Their sick and those vexed with unclean spirits were all healed.

2)Peter was able to walk in the apostolic anointing because he used the name
    Jesus Christ of Nazareth.

Jesus anointed Peter with the power of the Holy Ghost.

17 Jesus replied, “Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, for this was not revealed to you by flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven. 18 And I tell you that you are Peter,[b] and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades[c] will not overcome it. 19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; whatever you bind on earth will be[d] bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be[e] loosed in heaven.” 20 Then he ordered his disciples not to tell anyone that he was the Messiah.

When we are anointed, we are able also to do good because as Peter said in verse 38, “God is with us.” When God through the person of the Holy Spirit is with you, you have anointing. He knows that in ourselves, we have nothing to give to people, but He also knows that when His Holy Spirit flows in us, then we are capable of doing extremely good things for others. That is His desire and hope.

  • Peter was one of Jesus closes friends. Being with Jesus he learned hoh to conduct himself from the master communicator. He was one of the first teachers and preachers of the Gospel. He witnessed many miracles performed by Jesus and He knew the Power of the Holy Ghost indwelling in him. Peter wrote letters that would gather to hear Gods Word, to praise God,and to encourage one another in faith. Peter wrote letters as a opportunity to convey the truth of the Gospel that Jesus endured the agony of the cross to save us from the bondage of sin. A SIGNS gave credibility that what was being said by Peter was from God. When his shadow passed over the people were healed. Peter was a man of Faith, He trusted God without wavering. He strongly believed in the Apostolic Anointed power of God. He was obedient to the Father with strong conviction. SIGNS and WONDERS was a supernatural occurrence that pointed to a warning, instructions, encouragement, healing..etc.WONDERS points to the response to a SIGN,by it's very nature a WONDER cause awe in those who saw or heard it.Signs and Wonders were given by God to confirm His Word.(Matt.12:38,39)In the ancient world many people believed that a persons could cause healing Powers. they believed that Peter as an advocate had magical powers. the people imposed their superstitions upon this new faith, And by believing they were all healed. God, working miracles through the Apostles, never failed to bring physical restoration.
  • Amen,Amen And amen again I am in total agreement. Powerful response. Mother Lee Pastor Shirley Lee. Love you daughter

    Pastor LaShawn (3D) Davis said:

I believe that yes Peter had a great anointing, and had great faith in God. However, I believe that it was the way he presented the gospel of Christ to the people that caused them to have faith in God, and they had faith in God thru Peter.

Peter was soo effective in presenting the gospel, and his ministry already spoke for him. So much so that the people felt like, even if he can't lay hands on us, there is enough power operating thru him that if his shadow touches us, we will be healed. That's faith, yes, but that's the people's faith.

I believe that Peter could walk in the apostolic anointing because he had a divine revelation of who Jesus was, and he trusted in that. When Jesus asked the apostles in Matt. 16:13-17 when Peter replied that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of the living God. Jesus called Peter blessed and said that isn't wasn't by flesh and blood that get got that revelation, but by His Father in heaven.

When we get a divine revelation of who God is thru Jesus the Christ, it is easy for us to walk in our calling because we are full of confidence in the God that we serve.

  • Peter was a man full of faith and the anointing of God on his life. Because of the anointing people's faith level was high so they came expecting a God to heal them. We can walk in the same anointing the more people draw on the anointing the greater power can be demonstrated. If takes our faith and the faith of those we come into contact to agree in the spirit.
  • Peter, Andrew, James and John were called by Jesus to full time association with Him to be trained as 'fishers of me" (Mark 1: 16-20: Luke 5:1-11) Jesus selected 12 of His followers to be His nearest companions for special trainning.(Mark 3:13-19) I began to think how glorious it must have been for the desciples to actually sit at the feet of Jesus and learn directly from the Life Giver, Sustainer, Provider, Healer, Savior, Redeemer,Teacher, Who better could teach about Jesus than Himself. What a miracle in itself. To be priviledged to walk alongside of the creater of the universe.OMG!!  Of the 12 designated Apostles Peter is always named first. Peter was with Jesus when Jesus performed many miracles, He was the spokesmen of the 12. and asserted His loyayalty to Jesus. Following Him closely, obeying his every command. By Peter's believing confession He identified himself as the trure rock that Jesus would build His church on, and the very gates of hell would not prevail against it. We are called by God, set aside, anointed and appointed for such a time as this, By the Power of the Holy Ghost vested in us, we have been given the power to heal the sick, raise the dead, bringing life to the sinner man, who is dead in His tresspasses and sins, casting out demons, destroying yokes of bondage, loosing shackles..etc. just as Peter because just as Peter we too Believe. According toour faith so beit unto us. The key is to believe. Activa our Faith. Faith without works is dead, without faith it is impossibe to please God. The word in Act    declares After that the Holy Ghost comes upon you. You SHALL receive power. Have you received the Holy Ghost since you believe? The Holy ghost comes to equip and empower us to effectively do the work of the Lord in ministering to His people. with boldness and passion, with assurity that The Lord is with us and will never abandoned us for the tasks He has set before us. Peter's shadow did not heal the the people, it was the power of God activated in Peter and the peoples displayed faith in God's anointed MOG. Peter was serious about His calling and serious about soul winning, he was compassionate and had genuine love for the people of God. He was willing to lay down his life for the Gospel. He felt like he owed it to God after denying Jesus three times, and being forgiven. We too owe Him our life, How can we repay him for all He has done?

  • 1. Jesus have them Power to heal the sick, and The people believe that Peter was a man of God, them two makes for a healing. 2. I thank he just believe GOD.

  • Peter had cracy faith to believe anything because the relationship he had with god he was not believing nothing else but god. He spreading the word to every one that he can go to places and different people a strong belief.

  • Because of the anointing that was on his life and the people believed in the healing faith. He know the blessing of healing was on his life and he helped the people believe.

  • Peter had faith and he was humble, obedient and had a love for God's people as well as a fear of the Lord. He fast prayed and mediated. He had a relationship with God. He encouraged God's people who suffered persecution and discouragement. He had faith anointing Holy Ghost power and Holy Ghost boldness. He knew who he was in Christ and who He belonged too. He was at a place in God, where God knew he totally relied on Him and He knew it was all about King Jesus, it wasn't him performing miracles but greater inside of him then He who is in the world. He didn't boast his self up and take the credit for what God had allowed him to do.
