You Can't Duplicate God: Pharaoh and the Egyptain magicians tried to imitate Moses during God's display of his mighty power in front of them. The Lord said to Moses and Aaron, "When Pharaoh says to you, `Perform a miracle,` then say to Aaron, "Take your staff and throw it down before Pharaoh,` and it will become a snake". So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts (Exodus 7:8-11). The enemy does not have power over God's people. We have been given power and authority over the enemy. Satan will try to act like he is the head, but the word of God states, "We are the head and not the tail, above and not beneath. When the plagues came upon Egypt because of the hardness of Pharaoh's heart, the magicians were able to imitate some of the plagues by their secret arts to their own hurt. They could not keep pace with Moses and Aaron, who was anointed, appointed and commissioned by God to do what they were doing. The plagues were out of Pharaoh's magicians control. Pharaoh asked Moses to pray the plagues away, when Moses prayed to God to remove the plagues, it was so. It is one thing to realize God's hand for temporary help and not go any further. We should acknowlede God in all of our ways, completely rely on him. Do not try to get over on God like Pharaoh, for he knows all hearts. We should trust him in every area of our life, knowing that he is the author and finisher of our faith. Whatever he has called us to do, he will provide the vision and the provision. Do not fear to step out in faith and do the greater works of the Lord, no matter the opposition. Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
