Spiritual Cataracts

“And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” ......” 2 Kings 6:17

Read: 2 Kings 6:8-22

There are times when we, the body of Christ are lacking the ability to see and understand the happenings of this season.  In other words, we have been “blind-sided”; not possessing the capability to clearly comprehend and relate the occurrences of today to those which are recorded in the Bible.  Although we sincerely love the Lord; attend Bible Study on a regular basis; and are faithful in the paying of our tithes and offerings; we can’t seem to SEE clearly.  Why? Possibly because we have Spiritual Cataracts.

Basically, when a person has a cataract in the natural; they have a condition in which there is a cloudiness of the lens in the eye that prevents light from passing to the retina; which can impair their vision.

Therefore, when someone has a Spiritual Cataract they have a blockage in their perception in the realm of the Spirit; which is preventing the illumination of God’s word from being comprehended to its fullest capacity.  They may “see men walking as trees” (Mark 8:24); or not even see at all (refer to the key verse).  Whatever the case they need to have those cataracts removed if they are going to be abreast of these end-time situations, which have already been fully explained in our canon. 

In some instances cataracts in the natural can remain intact because they aren’t really obstructing too much of the retina.  However, when referring to Spiritual Cataracts; whatever the density or consistency – they must be removed.  We can’t afford to permit anything in our lives which will block or hinder the Light of the Lord to prevail.

So if you are lacking the ability to accurately “see” the signs of the times; if you are still not actively progressing in the realm of the Spirit; if your decisions and directives are still leading you down paths which are non-productive; ….. then maybe you are in need of a Spiritual Cataract Surgery. 

Ask the Lord to reveal to you every area in your life where He is still not “Lord”.   In other words; those areas where the illumination of His word is not prevailing to the extent, that you are willing to bring about a total submission to His divine authority.  Ask Him for the corrective orders and directions which will permit an enlightenment of who He is to be evident and to prevail in your life.

Lastly, remember that God will perform the necessary procedures – but we must be willing to do our part by walking in obedience, persistence, and a determination to do whatever the He mandates for our lives. 

Make the preparations for your surgery today….enough time has already transpired. The enemy has already gained too much ground because we are walking around…. having our illumination in the realm of the Spirit hindered…..because ignorantly we are have Spiritual Cataracts!

Why Are You An Asymptomatic Believer?

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Matthew 7:20

Mark 16:17 & 18 reads: “And these signs will follow those who BELIEVE: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Those verses clearly state the signs, or the symptoms that are to be manifested in you as one who is a believer.  The Greek word which has been translated here for the word believe is piseno; meaning to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing).

People can’t physically “see” the extent of your faith.  However the evidence of your inward conviction is characteristic with those “symptoms” stated in Mark 16.  The key here is to advance your level of faith to the degree that you, yourself are convinced of its authority and power.  We already have faith, we already have the ability and we have already received the proper authorization to successful display every “symptom” stated in Mark 16.  Yet we permit the enemy to: fool, mislead, trick and deceive us into doubting who and whose we really are! 

In the medical arena; a disease is considered asymptomatic if a patient is a carrier for a disease or infection but experiences no symptoms. A condition might be asymptomatic if it fails to show the noticeable symptoms with which it is usually associated.  Therefore, many of us can be referred to as “Asymptomatic Believers”!  We may possess the title of a Believer; know and use the correct phrases; we regularly attend services, pay our tithes and are generous in the giving of offerings; attend Bible ….and Prayer Meeting!  However, where is your level of faith registering on the “faith-odometer”?  How many of the symptoms of the believer which are listed in Mark 16: 17 &18 are evident in your life?

So in reference to the initial question, “Why are you an asymptomatic believer?”…… Only you know the genuine answer.  However, whatever your reasoning may be…. It’s only an excuse!  An excuse that the enemy has given to you – to prevent your effectiveness in defeating him and his kingdom.  Any excuse is a lie that you’ve believed and accepted as truth!

Let’s get down to some real business.  The time has come that we can no longer “comfortably” exist as asymptomatic believers.  We must now become so “symptomatic” in our profession, confessions and actions; that the manifestation of every sign that is recorded in Mark 16 is becoming evident in our lives.

The world needs to see US walking in the same power that was displayed in years past. They MUST know that our God is the true and living God…whose power hasn’t diminished… and that He is truly the same yesterday, today and shall be forever more!!

Be bold and very courageous!  Be persuaded and very confident!  Focus more on BEING who you really are…instead of just hiding behind your title!  You already have within you everything that you need to be that Believer which is mentioned in Mark 16.

So… the day of exposure is here!  Be determined to no longer be an Asymptomatic Believer. The baton has been given to you…..NOW…..what are you going to do with it???????

Prayer For Breakthrough

“Breakthrough Oh Lord, so that I may break forth”

So David went to Baal Perazim, and there he defeated them. He said, "As waters break out, the LORD has broken out against my enemies before me……………… (II Samuel 5:20)

As we enter a new season, Lord I ask you to permit the power of the Holy Ghost to “breakthrough” and to break up any type of residue that is still attempting to linger in my spirit; any lingering mindset that will prevent your power from having its full range in my spirit. Yahweh Perazim, I summit my will to you now, and request that you break through it.  Burst forth as the waters through an overly stretched dam.  Break forth with your explosive, uncontainable power. 

As you broke through and rescued David from his enemies, breakthrough the plans and devices that my enemy, the master deceiver, has concocted for my demise and destruction.   Break through every shackle that is still attached to my feet, thus attempting to prevent me from being in my “appointed places” at the correct times. Break through the thorns and thistles in the realm of spirit, which produce the “snags” that permit me to misuse or waste valuable time.  Break through unhealthy, nonproductive relationships.  Break through every barrier and “smoke screen” that is hindering and blocking my vision - still preventing me from aggressively and confidently advancing.  Break through every negative spirit that the traditions of man have instilled in me, which are hindering the effectiveness of my warfare on a daily basis.  Yahweh Perazim, search my entire being, layer by layer.  Whatever concepts, precepts, ideologies, methodologies and the like, that are contrary to yours – break them up, move them out, replace them with your wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

And now Yahweh Perazim, as you break through, may I daily begin to perceive and receive the results and operate in the freedom which is being produced from my enhanced position of power and authority.  May I begin to break forth into one who is: feared, detested, hated, envied and begrudged by the kingdom of darkness.  Now, I have been freed.  Now, I AM free… , to be moldable clay in your hands.  As you use me mightily, may I always remain cognizant and grateful to you, Yahweh Perazim - for your prodigious “break -through” anointing.  May I never become arrogant, conceited or heady – only more confident as I walk and rest in the freedom that only you have the ability to provide.

Here in the United States we have a postage stamp called the “Forever Stamp”.  The advantage of purchasing this stamp is that it is not affected by the escalation or the increase of prices in the future.  The postal service has agreed to accept the Forever Stamp…forever as sufficient postage when mailing a First Class letter.  Therefore, if it is purchased today and the cost of postage increases; no additional postage will be required; because you have purchased and are using a Forever Stamp. 

God has said that we also have the advantages of receiving His “Forever Stamp” in our lives. Sometimes we seem to forget that when we accepted Christ into our lives that His atoning blood has purchased for us the grace that will perpetually satisfy any future debts!   God has already agreed – through His promises that we have the ability to remain unaffected by the escalation of the current or future diabolical plots, plan or schemes of our adversary.  We have already received a “Forever Stamp” that the kingdom of darkness must recognize – if we use it!

However, far too often our minds have not been renewed to this concept.  We fail to realize that we have been stamped… or that our stamp is sufficient to satisfy the required postage for any adverse condition in our lives!

Our Forever Stamp avails us to the benefits of all of the promises of God as recorded in our Bible.

In other words;

When disappointments, depression, or discouragements occur; we only need to affix the promises of our Forever Stamp as recorded in: Isaiah 63:1; Jeremiah 29:11; Joshua 1:9  

When sickness or afflictions attack; we only need to affix the promises of our Forever Stamp as recorded in: Isaiah 53:5; John 11:4

When unpaid debts seem to be mounting; we only need to be a good steward; as well as to affix the promises of our Forever Stamp as recorded in: Philippians 4:19; Luke 6:38

When waiting for God to advance us or to give us wisdom in a given area: we only need to affix the promises our Forever Stamp as recorded in: James 1:5; Proverbs 3:5,6

So whatever situation the enemy attempts to use to make us loose our focus,

Whatever area(s) in our minds that still remain an entrance to or a portal for the enemy,

Whatever adverse condition is now occurring… or will ever surface in the future;

REMEMBER- It doesn’t matter how long the process is lasting… God will always perfect those things which concern us by honoring His promises to us.

Never forget that you have been stamped and you have been sealed until the day of redemption by God’s Forever Stamp….. And simply because that stamp has been affixed to you… you have been equipped with a durability ….  That will assure the safety of your arrival at your next appointed destination in the realm of the Spirit!

I Am Encouraged Because of...

God’s Assurance

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”  Hebrews 10:22

We can always excel in every area of our lives.  This is possible once we become certain and assured of who God really is.  Sometimes we seem to forget that once we are assured of our status with God – we can’t fail in anything that we endeavor to accomplish. 

This prayer of Assurance can assist us to continually affirm the dependence that we have in our confidence in Him.

Prayer of Assurance ©2003

Lord God, I thank you for the Spirit of Assurance.  Your word verifies that true assurance in you is the attribute that will permit me to overcome every obstacle in these last days.

A full blessed assurance in you validates the fact that because of your sovereign love for me - nothing, nothing, No Thing - that occurs today in my life will cause a detour in your divine will for me.  My assurance, my firm conviction in you mandates that I exercise my blood bought authority this day, to walk above the circumstances of life.  I will never again release from my mouth that I am under, beneath or a victim to my present conditions nor the world’s systems.

Your word assures me and reveals to me who you are, your very nature.  Your word   reveals to me that the things seen are temporal; moveable, mutable, unable to withstand, and subject to environmental conformation.  Therefore, I am assured, that as I absorb, soak up and permit only your word to infiltrate my spirit - then and then only will I have the ability to rise above and remain above my circumstances.

 My assurance in you decrees that I will not leave this life prematurely.  My assurance in you decrees that I have the ability now to stand in the midst of adversity and command your presence to prevail.

I thank you for your assurance that I AM a “King’s Kid”; your heir, and a joint heir with Christ.  I am of a royal priesthood, divinely anointed and appointed for this time - groomed and adorned by you, Lord God; totally for you Lord.

 I am assured that I can only excel…...  It is because of this assurance that I know I can never, never, never be defeated.

   Hallelujah!!  Thank You Lord!!!                                        

FEAR BE GONE!!!

Father God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, - but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door. I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again. 

I will now begin the process to renew my mind – daily.  I will develop a new appetite which desires your decreed will for my life – freed from every diabolical hindrance.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

Lord, you are supreme in power & position.

As this text is researched, we can observe that the word “height” here signifies supremacy of power and position.

So Lord, may I now align and place everything under the authority of who you are.  May I never exalt the power of my thoughts or actions above what your word demonstrates and declares.

I will no longer surrender to; and I forbid, any other power to rule or to reign in my life.  My acceptance of your sovereignty and my knowledge of your omnipotence validates who you are.  I  now request that those character qualities fully infiltrate my every thought.  May I renew my mind to the extent that I have reworded my vocabulary to release from my mouth, only the words that will reflect what your Word declares.

There is no other; nor has there ever been; nor will there ever be; any force; - visible or invisible, that is able to be in comparison with who you are.  Your attributes reveal that you are matchless. Therefore you are the monarch, the exalted one.  We could climb up to the highest mountain; even search the lowest valley….  And the supremacy of your power and authority would yet reveal that… There’s NOBODY GREATER THAN YOU!

May I continuous position my spirit to operate in submission only to your sovereign reign, your absolute authority and your ultimate guidance… For YOU ALONE ARE GREAT!

Walk In Boldness & Confidence….

No More “Cubic Zirconia” Gems

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” ….. Psalm 139:14

God has not designed, nor produced anything that is not authentic.  However, far too often we in the body of Christ have been “hoodwinked” into thinking that we must pattern, copy and mimic the actions of others.  We fail to realize that God has created each of us uniquely different.  It is His desire that we examine the life of Christ in every aspect; and configure our lives according to the example that He has displayed and not the lives of one another.

I am reminded of the time when I was looking through one of my copies of Vogue magazine.  One thing that was very prevalent was this- each designer displayed their own unique style.  Their creativity was boldly exhibited as they dared to be different.  Not one of the designers attempted to copy or to mirror the ideas or handiwork of their fellow artists.  Something else that was very obvious was the fact that it didn’t matter who did or didn’t appreciate, applaud or accept their creations – they still dared to be that original designer; and they used their creative ability to the fullest.

We must remember that God has not created any cubic zirconia gems!  What is a cubic zirconia gem?

Ø  It is an imposter, an imitator and an impressionist in the realm of the spirit.

Ø  It is one who pretends to be something that they are not. 

Ø  It is one who thinks that they must walk, talk, shout, preach, etc. - exactly like someone else. 

Ø  It is one who has failed to realize that God has created them to be an original designer for Him – and not the carbon copy of another.

Ø   It is one who has permitted the enemy to convince them to participate in actions of “self – sabotage”; therefore making them of no threat to his kingdom!

So.... I challenge you to dare to be unique!  Not arrogant, boastful, or heady; but boldly confident in whom God has created you to be.  We must always adhere and conform to EVERYTHING that God has spoken and had recorded in our Bible.  If we are going to be successful as endtime warriors – we must decide to give the Holy Spirit permission to use our creative ability.   Why settle for being a cheap copy – when you can be a costly original? Come from behind that mask and refuse to be hindered any longer in those areas where you sense insecurity!  God is waiting for you to begin to display what He has placed in you.

No one can beat you at being you.  The world needs what the Lord has placed inside of you.  Be determine to a diamond (maybe still needing to be refined – but that’s okay!) and not a cubic zirconia gem.  Remember….The time is now….. and the person is YOU!

You Are Equipped to Carry the Load!

You Are Someone’s Bridge

  “Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Although you may not have viewed it from this perspective; but God has birthed within you the ability to be a bridge for someone else.  He has given to you the wisdom, compassion and the authority to safely transport someone from their current place to a new place in Him!

If we were to do a little research in the area of architecture, we would discover that there are basically four different types of bridges (sources vary to the exact number; with some listing up to seven).  Nevertheless, all of them are responsible for transporting; and for being that reliable connection between at least two points.

The purpose of the bridge is to provide passage OVER a given situation.  Therefore, it matters not the type, weight limitations, or composition of the bridge – its job is to transport OVER given obstacles.

As you view yourself as someone’s bridge; you will realize that it is your responsibility to undergo routine, scheduled “maintenance checks”.  You can’t neglect your spiritual, nor your physical overhauls.  You need to be effective, as well as to preserve under carrying the weight of another and transporting that weight to the Lord.  Wisdom is the key.  Consequently, you must always remain cognizant of the fact that EVERYTHING you are involved in; positive or negative; will affect your durability, your tenaciousness and reflect your level of sensitivity.   God has already given to each of us the character qualities which are necessary for us to perform efficiently according to the type of bridge that He designed us to be.

Don’t permit the enemy to cloud your mind or to disillusion you!  YOU are someone’s bridge.  Although you may not have considered it - nor be aware of who that person(s) is(are); someone is watching you and is depending on you to carry them over their next obstacle in life.

Lastly, remember that the bridge offers hope.  A bridge makes the unspoken statement that – “this is not the end of your journey”.  A bridge proclaims that, “I am your ACCESS OVER the problem, difficulty, hindrance, obstruction or blockage”.

In some battles the Lord will tell us to stand and to fight.  Then, there are others where He instructs us to simply “take a bridge OVER” them!  In other words, speak to it and keep it moving!  It is in those instances when you; as a God ordained “bridge”….can be used of Him to assist someone over their troubled water … by reassuring them that His undying, unconditional love…. Still yet prevails.

So remember…. you are someone’s bridge. Stand strong, stay focused, and be tenacious.  Regardless to what you experiencing …..you are equipped to carry the load!  And…you are still a vital asset to someone as they pursue their road to destiny.

“We who are strong have an obligation to bear with the failings of the weak, and not to please ourselves.” Romans 15:1 (ESV)

A Simple Reminder………..

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” I Peter 4:12 (ESV)

As endtime Leaders, it is imperative that we maintain our position of alertness in the realm of the spirit at all times.  Remembering this; our adversary is constantly attempting to find those weakened areas, or breaks in our "wall" where he can gain access into our lives.

One of the tactics that is commonly used by him is to bombard us with various situations - all at the same time - in an attempt to make us lose our focus.  Many times these occurrences are of various magnitudes, and will require varying degrees of strength and energy to conquer.   However, as a mature leader, you must maintain your focus at all times and not permit the nonsense of the enemy to distract you.  

Recently, I've encountered too many leaders who are making excuses for their lack of focus in their times of adversity or discomfort.  These statements have been spoken by Leadership: Pastors, Bishops, 5 - Fold Ministry Leaders, etc.; who have been releasing words of self -sabotage.  They have failed to realize that the releasing of such words that will not only hinder them, but their ministries as well. 

So let’s keep in mind that we can only become truly effective in our walk if we eliminate every hindrance and conquer every hurdle that the enemy strategically positions in our lives.  We must remember that every hindrance and every hurdle is sent to us as an attack from the kingdom of darkness -  with one ultimate purpose in mind.  They are only sent to us in an attempt to cause us to become distracted, unfocused and discouraged…. Thus causing us to become engaged in acts of “self-sabotage”, and release from our mouths words of doubt, defeat, and unbelief! 

Lastly… Know that your words are the powerful weapon that will be used in this season.  You WILL decree a thing and it SHALL come to pass; you WILL speak with new tongues; you WILL lay hands on the sick and they SHALL recover;  and WHATSOEVER you ask in my name – in faith believing… said the Lord it SHALL COME TO PASS!

WARRIORS! Now is not the time to become "wimps" in the realm of the spirit.  Stand strong, Stay focused and Reclaim your territory.  

Begin NOW! Time is of the essence!  

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:58 ( NIV)

Where Are They…..

                                  The Lost Generation?????

“If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.”

II Chronicles 7:13 & 14(NIV)

Today we are faced with a tragic situation.  Sadly to say, many people with whom we communicate on a daily basis are totally ignorant to, and unaware that this state even exists.  The bottom line is this: We now, daily, have to overcome the devastating results of a generation which no longer exist.  We are confronted with economic, social and spiritual “abnormalities” which have been produced …. Or have been cloned from a distorted mold.  We are daily confronted with and bombarded with the opinions and the like which are the results of a lost generation.  And to make matters worst; we can be compared to a flock of lost sheep.  We walk blindly – daily.  We have sat silently and permitted our government to alter and completely abolish the authenticity of our God given standards.  We have as of yet, not opened our mouths; and have been led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, still we have not opened our mouths (Paraphrased from Isaiah 53:7).   

I could continue with the comparisons and analogies.  However, to get to the point, I’ll state that the “lost generation” referenced is that generation of God’s people who were totally “sold out” for Him.   That generation who may have still encountered its own challenges – but were militant and radically allegiant in their reverence for the Lord. 

We have lost that generation of people who sacrificed themselves, their possessions and whatever it took to remain in the correct relationship with the Lord.  We have lost a generation of people who may not have known; …..correction….  who DID NOT know the Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic dialect of the Bible; but who knew how to get the attention of God!  We have lost a generation of people who were WILLING to serve God – at the risk of being ridiculed or harassed. We have lost a generation of people who loved God more than they loved themselves. We have lost that generation who was willing to actually bring their flesh under subjection and seek the presence of God during all night prayer services.  (I’ve attended what many have called all night prayer services – only to discover that no one really PRAYED all night!)  We have lost that generation whom, although they may not have totally understood what God was doing in a given situation – they totally trusted Him. We have lost that generation who didn’t just sing about the Lord; but their song resonated from the Holy Spirit within them. They truly sought His face prior to seeking His hand.  Therefore in seeking his face; He freely opened His Hand to them.  

I can remember my grandmother’s response to sooo many of my questions.  (Although I was also told that I ask too many questions!) She would simply say, “Well, girlie, that’s the Lord’s business, and when He’s ready, He’ll tend to it.”  She would also say, “If you trust in the Lord, ....Everything will be alright”.  (And I’ve learned that her responses were very accurate.)

Nevertheless, although we have lost that generation – God has given to us the remedy and the principles to re-establish our current generation.  If we who are still here, would live in obedience to II Chronicles 7:14; then God would hear us and respond by giving to us the wisdom that we need to uproot and cancel every diabolical plot, plan and scheme.  Then we would have the ability to bring an awareness to this generation that our God is still the omnipotent, omniscient, loving God that we proclaim Him to be.

We have lost one generation – let’s not lose another.  It is our responsibility to begin as of today to make a conscientious decision to amend our focus.  It is high time that we truly begin to make the Lord, the true LORD of our lives.   It is time for us to love the Lord with ALL of our heart and to Love our neighbor as we love ourselves.  (And some need to learn to love themselves and appreciate who God has created them to be.) 

When we begin to truly Love the Lord, more than we love anything else; then we will begin to regain the power and the authority of that lost generation.    We must come to an awareness that our every thought, motive, deed and action MUST receive the approval of our loving Father; and that our accountability is to our “Yahweh Hashopet”.

Let’s all become more responsible and live in obedience to I Corinthians 10:13 which states:

“ Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

If we simply obey this one verse… the Lost Generation will be lost no more!

Don’t Settle For Less

“And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Romans 12:2

What achievement(s) do you highly value?  What are you striving to accomplish on a daily basis?  What targets are your arrows attempting to reach?   What many long and short term goals are ever before you?

Whatever venture you are striving to undertake or to complete – now is the time to endure and to press forward as never before.  Don’t become weary, don’t become stagnate… and by all means….  Don’t Settle for Less.

It appears that we have encompassed that mindset of the world which has caused us not to value who we are nor what we have been called to bring into manifestation. 

For example, we are settling for what bring happiness…. Instead of persevering for joy;

We are permitting our appetites (spiritual & natural) to be appeased or pacified…Instead of fulfilling their required necessities.   We are popping too many pills … Instead pulling our heads up from the pillows and praying our way through.  We have permitted too many of the conveniences of modern technology to limit instead of enhancing our brain’s activity and ability.

So, ever so slowly, ever so subtly we have begun to settle for the lesser qualities of life – instead of striving for better.  However, we must; as King’s Kids – begin or continue to refuse to settle for just “anything”.  We must keep our goals and aims focused on the wholesome and weightier principles of this life.

Begin to recapture the mindset in your daily activities that will not permit you to settle for less in any area of my life.   Simply because I am a joint heir with Christ – all of my needs are already met.  I therefore don’t have to lower nor compromise my standards nor my expectations, nor my desires, nor goals nor my vision.  I don’t have to settle for anything less.  I won’t settle for less in any area of my life!

The greater one lives on the inside of me…. Therefore I can no longer be comfortable settling for the “less”.  I also cannot become ignorant to the fact that iron does sharpen iron.  So those who are content and relaxed in their “state of less”…. Don’t exhibit the qualities of iron!

As of today – I will begin to rid my mind, and my physical environment of everything that resembles the state of being “less”….. and permit true greatness to be my daily portion.   I will revamp my “bucket list”.  I’ll no longer “wish” but I will decree, declare, affirm, and announce that because the greater one truly does live on the inside of ME (I John 4:4)… I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. EVER again SETTLE FOR LESS!

“Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.”

Her Tears, Her Hair, Her Kiss

“….. And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.”

                                                                                                                       Luke 7:38

When we i refer to the story in Luke 7:38, our focus is usually drawn to the alabaster box and the oil therein.  However, today (Because we do things differently), we will briefly draw our attention to a few other key factors.

Most people aren’t sure WHO this “nameless” woman (Mary) was in the story – however, we all know WHAT she did.  This brings us to our first point.  Strive to be motivated from a pure heart of submission and gratitude.  Then your WORKS will make a perpetual impact for generations to come.  “Who” you are may be forgotten – but “What” you do will leave an indelible imprint in the sands of time.

Her Tears –When we seek to understand the shedding of tears, we could embark upon an in-depth study.  However, tears are often synonymous with brokenness and/or extreme gratefulness.  Such was the state of the woman in our story.

Her Hair - In Biblical days, the women of this culture took great pride in their hair and would often create and arrange it into various styles.   They exhibited a great deal of maintenance into it and definitely regarded it as their glory.

Now let’s think about “The Kiss”.  Her kiss. Her final expression of submission, compassion, adoration, gratitude and closure. 

The washing of Jesus’ feet, although symbolic in nature; examples to us an array of expressions which can greatly enhance our relationship with the Lord.  The three main examples for today are:

1.     We must approach the Lord in a state of brokenness, submission and repentance.

2.     Nothing that belongs to me, nothing that I possess, should I withhold from the Lord.   Whatever I take pride in, whatever I glory in, should willingly be used for Him.

3.      My mouth must remain at the feet of Jesus.  Whatever I kiss (place my stamp of approval on) must come into an alignment with the walk of Christ.  My kiss must not be one of betrayal….but a signal or an expression which has been motivated by an inward conviction and now resonate from a heart of submission.

Therefore, because of my internal brokenness, and because I’ve surrendered my dearest possession to the Lord, He will receive what I affirm with my mouth.   

The tears, the hair, the kiss.  God is requiring that we are broken to the extent that we produce tears; That we will withhold nothing that we deem precious from Him and that we will only apply the symbol of extreme love, humility and gratitude from a heart of a servant.

So…. when I humbly bow; when I’ve kissed the feet of Jesus, I am now positioned to be totally used of Him to make that endtime, undeniable, unforgettable impact…..  The type of impact that will cause an elevation in the level of my faith and produce the miracles, signs and wonders which will get the attention of the saved, unsaved and the unchurched!

(On another note: We always remember that Jesus washed the feet of His disciples – but we must also remember that He permitted His feet to be washed as well!) 

Heavy Weights Build Strong Muscles

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:3

In earlier years we used to sing a song entitled, “Jacob’s Ladder”.  It was one of those songs which had a seemingly endless amount of verses.  Each verse would end with the statement, “Soldiers of the Cross”.  At that time, I didn’t fully understand the concepts that were attempting to be expressed and impressed upon us. 

Today we have saints who fail to realize that they are “soldiers of the cross”. As a soldier, I must understand the fact that God has orchestrated every test, trial and difficult situation, for no other reason than to build my spiritual muscles.

Far too often we have only obtained the ability to successfully lift a ten pound weight in the realm of the spirit.  Then, we seem amazed when we are confronted with a situation requiring the ability to lift fifty pounds and we are unsuccessful – often blaming God for our inabilities and fallacies.  Sadly to say, I constantly observe Saints who are enduring very rigorous physical exercises and toning every physical muscle – however their spiritual muscles are flabby, weak and are in deplorable condition!  Physical exercise is extremely important – however we must exert MORE energy into the development and the conditioning of our spiritual muscles than those of our physical bodies.

So how do we begin to build up our spiritual muscles? 

1. 1.     Trusting in our own relationship with the Lord.  As a babe in Christ, it was tolerable for us to always run and whine to other Saints with our problems and difficult situations.  However, when will you begin to trust and validate your own relationship with the Lord?  When will you begin to lift those heavier weights in the realm of the Spirit and really believe who and whose YOU are?  When will you believe what YOU say to the extent that you will KNOW because of your relationship with the Lord that whatever you’ve asked…. it’s done!?  When will you begin to build those muscles of faith and realize that God has given to you the power to only SPEAK to every adverse situation and command that His promises prevail ?                                                                                                      I can attest to the fact that in extremely difficult situations, I’ve sought the Lord; trusted in Him and Him alone – without sharing the information with anyone else…. and He has NEVER failed. Sure, at the onset, my faith hadn’t matured to this level…. it was a process that had to begin at some point. When we ask God for something; and then proceed to ask someone else; that’s an indication that our spiritual muscles need to be toned.  In other words, that’s symbolic of asking your earthly father for something; and then, once you’ve asked him… you run off and ask someone else to accommodate your request.  Would that occur?  Absolutely not!  ….Only if your doubted your earthly father or felt as though he was incapable of producing your request.    So it is with our Heavenly father.  We must learn to trust Him with the assurance that He WILL grant our every request (that is in alignment with His word). His integrity is beyond reproach.  We can’t forget that we are joint heirs with His Son; and we must believe in our own relationship with Him. Of course thoughts will come and attempt to weaken your faith.  However we must be determine to lift those heavy weights by standing on the Word of God – if we are going to have those strong muscles. 

 (Now if you feel as though your walk isn’t strong enough yet for you to stand alone or your faith hasn’t progressed to this level yet; by all means seek for and request the assistance of others who are stronger than you are.  However, we must be determined not to be “co-dependent” upon anyone…other than the Holy Spirit!)

Yes, we are climbing a Spiritual ladder where every round gets higher and higher.  The song Jacob’s Ladder also asked the question, “Do you think I’ll make a good soldier?”

As we lift the heavy weights in the realm of the Spirit, we will build those strong muscles which will enable us to effectively, successfully and strategically stand as an endtime soldier.  Then we will have merited the ability to respond with the concluding verses of the song by responding, “Yes I know I’ll make a good soldier”.  Then and only then will we be able to totally come into agreement with the last verse…. which states… “Rise, Shine; Give God the Glory”!

Embracing God’s Truth

Today, Lord I embrace your truth.

“JEHOVAH El EMETH”

(Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5)

“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”                                                                                                                                    Psalm 25:5

Within today’s arena, there has been such a distortion of what is really “truth”, that without the indwelling guidance and direction of Holy Spirit we will begin to adopt the Spirit of Error which is running rapid in our land.

Many foundational concepts that were once upheld as the truth have now been replaced with the cunning influences of the enemy.    Not only has our government and its judicial system strayed from the truth; but what is even more disheartening is that the body of Christ is beginning to lose its creditability concerning what is truth.

We must now as never before plunge into the truth of God which He has revealed to us in His Word.   We must embrace it with a “bulldog” type of tenacity.   As we embrace what is truth, it then becomes our responsibility to enlighten those with whom we come in contact with.  It is our mandate to read the truth, understand the truth, and above all apply the truth to every area of our lives. 

As the fast approaching end of time as we now know it draws nigh, the kingdom of darkness will cunningly attempt to discredit the truth even the more.  However, God is truth and we must continue to proclaim His truth; avail ourselves of His truth and uphold His authentic Kingdom principles which He has given to us – REGARDLESS!!

If we adhere to the truth and allow it to infiltrate our minds, then we will have to ability to discern error immediately.  SAINTS don’t be blindsided – this is an urgent plea.  We cannot afford to be passively ignorant concerning what is truth.  Time is of a grave essence.  We MUST, by any and every means necessary “raise the bar” and live daily a life founded on “JEHOVAH El EMETH”.  We must adhere to the foundational principles that our forefathers upheld as truth… and not be persuaded nor swayed by any revised or newly accepted notions  of what has not been previously presented as truth.

 Let you prayer be: “ Lord, enable me to have a keener endtime discernment; that will birth within me the ability to rapidly and accurately distinguish what you have established as “truth”…… live therein and enlighten others…… while encouraging them to practice the same as well.”  In the Name of Jesus.  Amen.

The Three “F’s” -Focus, Fill, Forget

“………The JOY of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Today the Lord wants us to know that it doesn’t matter how situations may appear to be; nor does it matter what sort of negative or bad news we may receive; we must learn to permit the JOY that is contained within the Word of the Lord to be our strength… our support system and our well from which we can draw cool and refreshing water.

Sometimes we have a way of permitting the cares of this world to weigh us down and weaken us.  Most of the diseases and ailments that we are afflicted with today are the result of years of worry and stress.  In many instances we have inherited these genes from our biological parents….. who were themselves the products of generations where stress and worrying were prevalent. 

However, now the Lord wants us to remember that he has instructed us to rejoice in Him always…. – and again, He reminds us to rejoice.  HOW? By allowing our strength to come from the Lord.  HOW? By learning to Focus, Fill and Forget.

1. Focus more on the Blessings than on the Curses; on the positive more than the negative; on the good rather than the evil.  Focus, Focus, FOCUS!!! (Deuteronomy 28)
2. Fill your mouth with a new vocabulary.  Use words that will uplift and strengthen your spirit; rather than dishearten or discourage it.   (Proverbs 18:21) Fill your physical territory; your home, your desk, and your car; with constant reminders of faith filled words.  Replace as many things in your life with items that will build and affirm - not diminish your faith.  Create an atmosphere of being optimistic – wherever you are!  Let praise always be in your mouth.  Fill your mouth, fill your atmosphere and fill your spirit with the Joy of the Lord!
3. 3.     Forget yesterday; today is a new day.  Forget the arguments, the misunderstandings, the regrets, the childhood rejections, and anything that attempts to steal your peace.  Not one decision that occurred in the past can be amended.   We can in many instances alter the consequences or the negative results which have occurred as a result of those decisions. 

So begin each day as a new day, with new opportunities, new strategies, and a new agenda.  An agenda of forgetting the past and pressing forward.   (Philippians 3:13)

Many years ago, our youth choir sang a song and it said, “I’ve got the J – O- Y; JOY, Joy of the Holy Ghost…. Don’t Let the Devil steal your joy…. Joy of the Holy Ghost.

They also sang another song….. “Hallelujah Anyhow”.  “Never let the devil get you down, when life’s troubles come your way, hold your head up high and say HALLELUJAH ANYHOW”.

Our only survival plan for this era is to:

Focus our minds on the promises of God.

Fill our mouths with faith filled words.  And above all…

Forget any and everything that will not yield to my advancement, my motivation and my stamina.

Then we will be in the position, and have the mindset, which will usher us into the place, that will truly allow the JOY of the Lord to be our strength.

Check Your Connections!

 ^“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, unless He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7

Would you like to know the newspaper headlines for tomorrow?  What if your country’s security intelligence forces had the proper connections in advance to focus on where the next terrorist attack would occur …. Or the next major local catastrophe?  It doesn’t matter the situation; proper preparation requires that I get connected to the correct source.  When I am properly connected I can advance to my next place in the realm of the spirit; in peace and harmony…. On time!

The Lord loves us to the extent that He doesn’t want us to become alarmed or caught by surprise with the negative occurrences which will transpire in the future.  He has promised to inform us of His intentions. However we must avail ourselves to those to whom He has given the ear to hear His prophetic voice.  It is imperative in this season that we get connected to those who can authentically represent and relay the voice of the Lord concerning the future.  We must get connected to those who have truly been anointed by God and have the ability to communicate to us His specifics concerning future events.

As I have so often said, the time to prepare for the calamity is prior to its occurrence. Our successful survival is dependent upon our ability to be proactive– rather than reactive; to be prepared rather that caught by surprise when major tragedies occur.  So now is the time to connect or to re-connect. 

• ·       Get connected to someone who can correlate their insights concerning the future to the Word of God.
• ·       Get connected to someone who has a proven positive track record.
• ·       Get connected to someone who is willing to teach and lead by example; rather than just prophesy.
• ·       Above all, get connected to the person (or persons) that the Lord is leading you to - not necessarily the person that is the most popular – but the person with whom the Lord validates within your spirit.

We can possess proper and powerful tools; however without the intervention of our God given connection(s), our production will be limited or possibly non-existent.    For example; one may purchase the finest electrical equipment possible.  However, if they have no means of receiving an electrical current; or if they can’t get connected to a working power source; their expensive tools are useless! 

So in this season… check your connections.  It is possible that the hindrance that you are encountering could simply be that it’s time to amend those to whom you are connected.  Sometimes we are trying to fix and patch up something that has served its purpose and needs to be discarded, replaced or upgraded.

There are approximately only three months left in this year.!  Begin to assessment your connections.  Ask the Lord for the wisdom and the grace to “clean house” as you consider both your spiritual and secular connections.  Examination your connections closely and terminate those that the Lord deems are no longer beneficial.  Trust in the Lord ….He has never, nor will He ever steer you to the wrong connections.  Remember it’s not who you know….but to whom you are connected!!!

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”   I John 4:1-3
