Exchanging My Happiness for Joy

You O Lord are the source of my joy

“El SIMCHATH GILI”

(God my exceeding Joy - Psalm 43:4)

“……...This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”                                                        Nehemiah 8:10 (Read Psalm 43 and Nehemiah 8)

Today, Lord may I begin to comprehend that You ARE my joy.   May I realize that my mind must be renewed to the concept, that, my ability to remain joyful (full of joy) in the midst of adversity, is one of the battles that must be won.  Consequently Lord, I will totally understand that YOU and You alone are the nucleus of my joy.  Everything that is necessary for my “JOY” has its basis, its focus and its core emanating from You Lord.

Therefore today I invite You, El Simchath Gili to infiltrate my mind, thus permitting me to remain joyful throughout this day.  I will not allow any circumstance that may arise today cause me to lose my focus.   I will exchange and replace every temporal emotion in my mind.  I must realize that, that mindset, has its foundation in happiness – which is based on the “happenings” at any given moment.  Simply because joy is centered in the spirit of man – as I delight myself in You – my spirit will be at peace; and I will obtain the ability to receive all of the benefits of having a joy filled life – regardless.

So I thank You now, El Simchath Gili for Your guidance, direction and the provision of Your “joy”.  The joy that You bring will empower me and offer to me the foundation to stand strong today and always.

Since your word has informed me that joy is a part of the fruit of the spirit; I will seek to produce the same.   I will continue to daily alter or amend my appetite in the realm of the spirit.  I will provide the proper spiritual nourishment which will ensure that the fruit which my spirit produces is not lacking in the area of joy.   I will become more aware of the fact that I must exchange those things which bring happiness with those which bring joy.   As I continue to mature in you; this will become a natural process.

Finally, may I never cease to reflect on the strength and encouragement of our patriots who walked by faith as they sang:

“This joy that I have, the world didn’t give it and the world can’t take it away.”

Walk in Integrity …and Don’t Forget!

And she made a vow, saying, “Lord Almighty, if you will,…… then I will …..”

                                                                                                                      I Samuel 1:11

The Bible has an array of illustrations regarding people who have asked the Lord for something in a time of distress or great demand; vowing to give Him something in exchange for His divine intervention into an adverse situation.  Far too often when we feel as though we are in a dire or a desperate situation, sensibility isn’t weighed – and…. If we don’t remain  focused….. we will pledge to practically anything.  Then, when we begin to “see the light at the end of the tunnel…” we will realize the magnitude or the in-depth nature of the commitment.    That’s when people begin to renege on their pledges. However we must realize that a vow is a vow; a pledge is a pledge.  We seem to forget that we serve an omniscient God who knows our every intent even prior to the thought entering into our minds!

God never, ever forgets His promises to us.  Whatever He has promised will be manifested.  People everywhere are now beginning to attest to this …as God has begun to turn the tables in our favor.   God is now allowing us to receive as soon as – or before we sow (Amos 9:13)!  He is returning to us all that has been: stolen, misappropriated, swindled, or even lost through our own ignorance (Joel 2:25).  The day of restoration IS finally here!  Hallelujah!

However, let’s not forget the vows that we’ve made to the Lord during our “winter seasons”.  It doesn’t matter the type of opposition that you’ve encountered.   The opposition may have been spiritual, emotional, financial or physical.   It doesn’t matter.  Every vow that we’ve uttered unto the Lord must be kept (unless He has released you from it.. which is extremely rare!).

So as the favor of the Lord brings forth the manifestation of good health, wealth, riches and abundance ….. in every area:

Don’t forget to maintain your focus by studying your Word and spending time with the Lord… don’t get distracted!

Don’t forget to pay your tithes & offerings (increasing both!)

Don’t forget to allow humility be your cloak,

Don’t forget to be a giver, but to use wisdom in your giving.

Don’t forget that God has blessed you so that you in return have now obtained that ability to bless someone else.

Don’t forget to make good on your promises to the Lord – without regards to its difficulty or inconvenience.  Whatever it was…  “Just Do It”!

Lastly, don’t forget your promises that were made God…..simply because He will never forget the promises that He has made to you.

Remember: A promise is a promise; integrity is honorable and the true intents of your heart will be revealed by your actions!

“When you vow a vow to God, do not delay paying it, for he has no pleasure in fools. Pay what you vow.”  Ecclesiastes 5:4 ESV

“If you make a vow to the Lord your God, you shall not delay fulfilling it, for the Lord your God will surely require it of you, and you will be guilty of sin”.         Deuteronomy 23:21 ESV

Did You Keep Your Word…. Or Did You Lie Again???

“Are You Still Committed?”

“A winner makes commitment. A loser makes promises.”  (Anonymous)

“Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 ESV

The Bible has a lot to say about being committed.  If a poll were to be taken, I’m sure that most people would consider themselves to be loyal, devoted, faithful – committed.  However, to be considered as one who has earned the ability to be classified as committed doesn’t come without an extremely high price tag!

Many have declared that this year, they would excel and accomplish more than in previous years.  Whether written or verbally proclaimed and mentally affirmed – many commitments were initiated at the beginning of the year.  We are now in the third quarter of the year; and most of those “commitments” have been diminished to empty promises.  In other words …. We’ve lied ..AGAIN!!!

Luke 9:62 refers to be committed – “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”   As does Ecclesiastics 5:5; “It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.”  (Only two of many scriptures that deal with commitment.)

So, let’s become committed to be more committed!   In other words, we must – if we are going to maintain our effectiveness; begin to place more value, on the demonstrated displays of those things which the Lord has assigned to us.  Far too often we “pick and choose” our level of commitment and limit it to what we deem important or more convenient.  However, we must remain cognizant of the fact that God doesn’t invest anything in us that is worthless.  He has handpicked, and strategically tailor made the plans for our lives.  He has given to us all so many more giftings and anointings than most of us are permitting to be manifested in our lives.  Now, our job is to become “committed” to the cultivating, grooming and maturing procedures which are required; that will cause every seed within us to begin and continue its growth process.

There is no better time to begin that now.  Many will read this and agree – but will you be one of the ones who will actually be committed enough to change?  It was once spoken that the graveyard contains some of the richest soil.  Why? Because most people die without staying committed enough to their cause to produce the dreams, and aspirations which the Lord has given to them.

To remain committed I must: Change, Obey, Meditate, Mature, Invest, Travail, Trust, Endure and Demand!

Let’s not arrive at the end of next quarter without displaying some sign that we are becoming more committed to producing all that the Lord has entrusted and meticulously placed within us.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me.” Erma Bombeck

Brokeness = Maturity

Brokenness = Maturity

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; ……. Psalm 51:17

Simply put….God desires to take you to an added dimension in Him; however you are still lacking the maturity in some area of your life; which occurs as the result of a totally broken spirit before the Lord.

When we refer to various Biblical patriarchs we can observe that they all had to experience a season of brokenness prior to being used mightily for the Lord.  One of the keys to brokenness is to place the flesh under subjection through fasting.

In our modern culture here in America, we have expanded the concept of fasting to incorporate the meaning of “the abstinence of”……whatever. We are, in many instances not referring to food; but abstaining from various activities, mindsets and behavioral patterns.

However, when we refer to the Hebrew word used in the Bible for fasting, TSOM (pronounced ts-oom), it means to cover the mouth.  Then the Greek word, nesteia (pronounced nace-ty-oo), means to abstain from food.  So we could conclude that both the Old and New Testaments place the emphasis on “food”.  (Although some have expanded the meaning to incorporate food for our mind and spirit as well as our body.)

Could the reason why true brokenness hasn’t occurred be that we’ve attempted to alter its original definition?  Could it be that we have replaced instead of enhanced?  Without regards to any additional concepts – fasting must; according to the Biblical definitions; at some point include an abstaining from food.

God needs us to be totally free IN Him – to be totally used OF Him.  He needs and is requiring of us a deeper relationship WITH Him.  He is requiring that our minds operate from a level of maturity which is representative of one who is broken from any and everything that doesn’t resemble Him.

Consider these types of fast as you deepen your relationship with the Lord.

Elijah’s Fast – I Kings 19

Widow’s Fast – I Kings 17:8-16

Paul’s Fast – Acts 9:9

Daniel’s Fast – Daniel 1:8-14; 10:3

John’s Fast – John 1:6 &7

Esther’s Fast – Esther 4

This IS the season of breakthrough.  God has broken through, broken out and broken up everything in the realm of the spirit that has been a bondage, a noose or an anchor.  He has broken through diabolical plots and plans.  He has cleared the atmosphere of every lingering spirit that has once held us captive.

Now we must do our part.  We must align, renew and fortify the spirits of our minds; thus permitting them to become broken; and now mature enough to reap supernaturally all of the benefits which we now possess.  An immature unbroken spirit will not have the ability to advance in this new dimension.  God has begun to shower those who are ready; who are mature enough to reap this harvest.   However, many will not even have the maturity to be able to comprehend or to understand fully this move of God.

In this season maturity is the key.  God needs to use YOU to do great exploits….. but you still need to obtain a level of maturity that only true brokenness has birthed!

To Receive Your Suddenly....

To Receive Your “Suddenly” Breakthrough…

Don’t Miss The Sound!

“And when you shall HEAR the sound of marching in the top of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.”  I Chronicles 14:15

We are still under the guidance of our “Suddenly” God.  The Lord, our Baal Perazim (the God of Breakthrough) is yet confirming His position in our current battle.  Just as He was with David, He is reminding us that His wisdom still supersedes that of the adversary.  Just as He broke through for David – He is suddenly breaking through for us, However, there are always guidelines that we must adhere to in order to receive our “suddenly”.

When reading this story in I Chronicles (or II Samuel) we discovered that Baal Perazim required  David’s response  to be quick and at precisely the right time.  Let’s consider the plateau from which David operated.

  1. David had to know the voice of the Lord.
  2. David had to remain alert and attentive in the realm of the spirit.
  3. David had to already have his weapons and be positioned offensively.

When we attempt to correlate this story to our daily lives, we must remember that:

  1. David sought the Lord for direction prior to the onset of the battle.
  2. The Lord went before David and “Broke Through” the front line of the enemy’s defense.
  3. Whatever the Lord has done before, He still has the power to do again.

I found it interesting that David was told to LISTEN for a certain sound. If we are going to know exactly when to advance, conquer and reclaim our territory; then we must critique or fine tune our ability to recognize a specific sound. Far too often we are listening to and follow the wrong sound!  David’s specific sound was the sound of marching.  Are you aware of the sound that God is using in your life as a form of confirmation?

Next, the sound was in a designated place - the tree tops.  Not on the ground, nor in the air, but in the top of the mulberry trees.  This fact reminds us that the specific sound will resonate from a specific, designated destination….. to the ear of one who has the sensitivity to hear!

So, because Baal Perazim had already preceded David, he (David) was able to be victorious.

Our God is still operating as Baal Perazim today.  He has broken through the front line of defense in our enemy’s territory and is permitting us to recover all!  But we must LISTEN for our specific marching orders.

Don’t permit there to be a delay in receiving your “suddenly” blessings because you didn’t hear or recognize the voice of God concerning His specific instructions; advising you how and when to advance - and recover all!

Just as David did…. Seek the face of God, Listen for the Sound, and March your way to victory.

Expect your “Suddenly Blessings “ to manfest…. TODAY……SUDDENLY!!!!!!

But Really......

But Really…..

Do You Know Who You Are?

The Lord has said that many of us don’t really know who He is; and therefore we can’t possibly comprehend who we are.  We know OF Him.  We know ABOUT His workings.  However, we haven’t fully grasped Him in His totality.  Therefore, we haven’t begun to realize who we are.

As you read through this list below, ask the Lord for an added enlightenment; a new revelation and a different perspective from which to comprehend each statement.  Refuse to merely read through the list in 20 seconds!  The time has come and now is for us to walk fearlessly, boldly, completely knowledgeable and totally enlightened concerning who we are. As you read through the list, pause after each statement and wait for the Lord to reveal to you exactly how that statement applies to you…. individually.

I AM: God’s child for I am born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. (I Peter

             1:23)

I AM:  The temple of the Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 6:19)

I AM: Delivered from the power of darkness and translated in God’s kingdom. (Colossians

            1:13)

I AM: Qualified to share in His inheritance. (Colossians 1:12)

I AM: Overtaken with blessings (Deuteronomy 28:2)

I AM: Called by God. (2 Timothy 1:9)

I AM: God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

I AM: The apple of my Father’s eye. (Deuteronomy 32:10)

I AM: The enemy of the devil. (I Peter 5:8)

I AM: Dead with Christ and dead to the power of sin’s rule over my life. (Romans 6:1-6)

This list could continue on for pages ….and the half still would not have been told!  Just know that you must begin to UNDERSTAND who you are!  You were; because of your acceptance of Christ as your Saviour; immediately catapulted into a new place.   You were birthed into a place of royalty, authority, and influence.  However, because most of us have not succeeded in the essence and the application of Romans 12:2; our minds are still being lead and influenced by old mindsets.  Mindsets that are carnal, undisciplined, unlearned and have not been renewed by the word of God.  Therefore, in many instances; we are continuing to operate from the positions of defeat, inferiority, and mediocrity!

So…let’s get it together NOW!  We are already into the second half of this year.  Waste no more time.  Aggressively seek the face of God and discover how you can be more effective in your daily walk….simply because you now KNOW who you are….. then you will begin to exemplify productive, dynamic lifestyles which will reveal the nature of our omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient Father.

And Expose….Any Wicked Way In Me

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139: 23 & 24

When I consider the word wicked, I often refer to wicker furniture.  What differentiates this type of furniture is the fact that it has been uniquely processed.  Wicker refers to the weaving process that the material has under gone.  So wicker furniture has been woven in a way that will produce a certain effect.

Far too often our hearts have been interwoven with concepts, motives, ideologies, etc. which have produced in us a wickered or wicked way.  We have – in many instances unknowingly – been indoctrinated by traditions, rituals, and the like which have lead us down the path to bondage.  We have within us areas which are still harboring the spirits of: anger, deceit, and fear.  Pride is still on board and has intricately been woven into our hearts causing us to unknowingly “bow” to various idols.

Of course, none of us have erected ancient day idols in our homes; but what is worst is the fact that we have developed them within our hearts!   We, on many occasions; establish, pay homage to, and hold in too high esteem the reverence for “people, places and things” over our relationship with our God. A reverential respect and fear of God has not taken its rightful position within our hearts.

The true revelation of all that is within our hearts, will only by produced by an illumination from the Holy Spirit.  So on a personal level; I need to sincerely seek the face of the Lord, and ask Him to reveal any wicked or wickered way that is within me.  Then I must learn to succumb to His leading as He directs me to the path which will allow me to obtain a renewed heart – totally submitted and committed for His use…..REGARDLESS!!

“Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong - then guide me on the road to eternal life.” Psalm 139: 23 -24 (The Mes

You Are A Warrior So.....

You Are A Warrior….So

Don’t Allow the Problem to Steal Your Peace or Your Praise!

Great peace have they which love thy law, and nothing shall offend them”

Nothing can entice them to sin – Nor can the sins of others cause them to fall.

 Psalm 119:165

Our Christian walk is one that is very complex; possessing multifaceted combinations of ideas, concepts and percepts.   Therefore it is vital for every successful Christian to undergo a complete “makeover” if they are going to operate from the plateau that the Lord has decreed.  We must realize that we need to embrace a complete transformation beginning with our minds.  Now for some.. this was easier than for others.   Sadly to say, there are those who have been studying the word of God for many years; …and are still having difficulty with comprehending the plans, purposes and intent of God – simply because their minds remain carnal.

So… along this road as we journey towards our divine destiny; our minds must be freed from the mindsets that have been engrafted into us throughout our entire lives. We must now begin to uproot the “former things” and replaced with them with God’s decreed plan for success.  For example; We’ve been taught to think for ourselves and to use our own brains.  Now the Lord is telling us  – not to think for ourselves nor lean to our own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). We’ve been taught to govern everything through our five senses.  But God tells us to trust and adhere to a force which operates outside of the perimeter of those senses (John 14:26) .  We’ve been taught to fear spirits and the like.  Now the Lord – whom we can’t see (John 4:24); is telling us to trust in the leadings and guiding of a Spirit. .. that we can’t see.  Also… we were taught to defend ourselves by avenging people for the wrongs done to us.  From childhood we were taught, “If somebody hits you…you BETTER hit them back.”  But the Lord said that vengeance belongs to him (Romans 12:19)

So, when we stop and really consider our present way of thinking; we can understand why our minds must be renewed.  We can truly understand that God’s ways are contrary to those that we have spent a lifetime adhering to.

Therefore, as we refer back to our subject for today ….We also must LEARN not to worry.  When we can finally grasp the concept of God’s love for us….we will understand that the problems in life are only problems when we view them from our old mindsets and from the point of not fully understanding who God is.  Remember: Nothing in our lives occurs without the knowledge and approval of God.  Now….  No; God doesn’t send calamities and such….  But He will permit them and use them for His glory….( that’s another lesson for another time!)

So because God loves us, He has warned us that in this world we will have tribulations  - but the statement doesn’t end there.  It continues – but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world  (John 16:33).

Ok….so what is God saying?.. “Don’t allow your problem(s) to steal your   peace or your praise.”  We must always remember that we have an enemy who has one thing in mind – and that is to make us doubt and distrust what God has said.

The two words problem and peace are words that everyone can relate to.

But I need you to know that every problem that occurs in your life is preordained by the Lord to push you and enable you to understand and to walk in His peace. .

Life is full of situations, which, if we are not alert in the realm of the spirit – will cause us to view them as problems instead of possibilities for God to manifest his peace.  The choice is yours.

How do we not allow the enemy to steal our peace?

  1. Daily renewing our mind with the word of God.
  2. Refusing to be confrontational to the extent that you are not operating in the realm of the spirit – Know who you are. (Matthew 5:25a)
  3. Reminding yourself that you are in a spiritual battle – that our war is not against flesh and blood  (Ephesians 6:12).
  4. Rehearsing in your mind and out loud the promises of God (Psalm 1:2).
  5. Remembering…Whatever is dominate in your mind will rule – govern what you watching on TV, Listening to on your ipod, etc..?  If I am constantly listening to, reading or watching the incorrect material, I might be opening the door to fear and allowing the negative opinions of others to cause me worry.

Peace – is a mindset.  As I’ve often said… It is not the absence of adverse situations  - but it is the mindset that ALL IS WELL… REGARDLESS!  So if I am walking in a lifestyle that is in accord with the Lord’s guidelines – I can claim the promises of God.  He has promised that I will ALWAYS prevail!

Just because the battle is intense…..Don’t allow the problem to steal your peace or your praise,

Just because the journey is long....Don’t allow the problem to steal your peace or your praise;

Just because the road is lonely…Don’t allow the problem to steal your peace or your praise,

Just because it appears that things are not going to work out…. Don’t allow the problem to steal your peace or your praise.

BECAUSE OUR GOD IS THE FAITHFUL GOD……

His peace will prevail…..if you demand and command it to do so!!!

Stand Firm.....

…And Doubt Not

“Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not……” Matthew 21:21

Our limited concept of the miraculous power and authority of God can often be compared to that which was housed in the minds of the Biblical disciples. Although they had actually seen the demonstrated displays of Jesus’ power, the Bible states that they marveled and they seemed amazed with the rapid results of Jesus’ spoken words (Matthew 21:20).  What is even more interesting is the fact that Jesus declared, that after all that they had seen – they still lacked in their ability to understand who He was.  Most importantly they didn’t fully comprehend who TEYHEHHhhhhhHEY were because of their relationship to Him.  Jesus responded to their insecurities and named them “doubt”; informing the disciples that even though one has faith – doubt can’t be on board.

Today, we are often encased in that same “prison” of doubt.  Doubt has established invisible barriers around our minds and has prevented us from understanding and really gasping who we actually are in Christ.  We fail to experience the enormous amount of power that belongs to us simply because we permit doubt to: enter in……get a latte….. sit back and get comfortable!

So I present a challenge to you: Refuse to permit this spirit to control your actions any longer.  How is this done? By the continual process of “Identification and Eviction”.  Daily we must move in the confidence that is established in the Word of God.  Therefore, when doubt attempts to surface – acknowledge it; then cancel the effects of its power and evict it by SAYING the Word of God.  Don’t doubt yourself! …And especially don’t doubt the power of the

Word of God.  You must know and remember… If I can think it – (and it’s legal!) I can do it!

When Jesus walked the earth, He did what no other person had ever done prior to His existence.  Why? To give to us the example that we have been empowered by our God to manifest on this earth what other gods of other religions can’t produce.  He was the living example FOR us, to demonstrate TO us, some of the things that we should be accomplishing.  However, we must rid ourselves of doubt.

Doubt comes to:

D – Destroy; O – Override; U – Upset; B – Bind; and to T – Threaten.

To Destroy our dreams and hopes.

To Override God’s power and authority.

To Upset our foundation of faith that has previously been established.

To Bind us by limiting and forbidding our progress.

To Threaten us by making us presuppose the worst. (And then he (doubt) brings in his “roadie” FEAR!)

Make a conscience decision to actually DO what God has placed in your heart, mind and spirit to accomplish.  Come into an agreement with; and a oneness with the plans that the Lord has for your life.

Refer back to the recorded story of when the people were attempting to erect the tower of Babel. The Bible said… and NOTHING shall be impossible for them because they are of one mind (Genesis 11:1-7). If we, as people can accomplish anything that we desire when we become “as one”….. can you imagine what would  result if we ever totally became  “as one”… and in total agreement with God (John 17:21)?

So, as of today make a conscious decision to… be bound… not more!  Be deceived ….no more. Take the limits off.  Send the spirit of doubt a memo by: Text, FB, Twitter or Instagram.  Inform him that all future performances have been cancelled!

Inform the spirit of doubt that as of today it is receiving an eviction notice – effective immediately. Now…. Begin to BOLDLY walk in your authority!

HALLELUJAH….. AND IT IS SO!!!!!!

God Has Spoken... So

…..God has Spoken – So Let the Church Say AMEN!

God is not a man that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?                                       Numbers 23:19 (AMP)

Today the Lord is simply saying that when we say “Amen”, we are voluntarily confirming that we will stand firmly on what we believe has already been proclaimed by Him.  Therefore, whenever I say “AMEN”, I am affirming that I will stand as follows.

Anchored on what I know, and I will never deviate from my principles – although methodologies, and strategies may need to be amended from time to time – my principles must remain ANCHORED.

Motivated by the assurance of Whose  I am – and daily affirming the same. Saying –I am the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19); I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into God’s kingdom of Light. (Colossians 1:13); I am redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death. (1 Peter 1:18-19, Galatians 3:13), etc.

Equipped mentally to endure and to use every available weapon that is at my disposal. (II Corinthians 10:4&5)

Never succumbing, submitting, or yielding to the spirits of defeat, discouragement and the like …… which are ever present and always attacking me. (II Corinthians 4:8)

So, Yes! Because God has already spoken ….now let us; who are the Church;

Collectively say …..while Individually affirming :

I am Anchored by WHAT I Know,

I am Motivated by the assurance of WHOSE I am,

I am Equipped mentally to withstand and to recognize the diabolical attacks which are constantly hurled in my direction …. And to use my spiritual weapons.

I will NEVER yield to the enemy’s temptations ….because my mind will remain submitted to and under the protection of the Holy Spirit!

……. “God has spoken……  So Let The Church Say…. AMEN!”

God Already Knew....

God Already Knew!!!

So…Just Trust Him!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”    Ephesians 3:20

Sometimes when tragedies occur we tend to lose our focus and forget that God is yet God.  Some of us fail to remember that we still serve an omniscient God (All wise and all knowing) So although we are surprised or are left in a state of utter disbelief as a result of “the enemy’s nonsense” – God is still saying.. “I got this!!”  We must remember that as the end of time as we now know it rapidly approaches; we will begin to observe even more displays of injustice and the like.  However, WE; those true Believers must not lose our focus!  We must continue to stand firmly anchored – and decree the Word of the Lord.

On several occasions I’ve used as an opening statement, “Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus, Just to Take Him at His Word.”  (Now, a few of you may remember that to be the title of an old favorite hymn.)  Well, when I woke up one morning, someone was singing that song on my television.  Then when I tuned in to Pandora, that very song was playing again!  Coincidence???? No way! Just another divinely orchestrated plan of God.  ….Just God attempting to get my attention and to relay the message that I must continue to trust Him!

So with assurance, I know that God wants us to find comfort in trusting Him.  He wants us to find our satisfaction and pleasure in Him…. and in all that He represents.  God wants us to realize that we only have to take Him at His Word.   He longs for us to know that it IS “sweet” to just trust Him.

When some of us use the terminology “that’s sweet” we would be implicating the taste of food.  Still for another group of you, “that’s sweet” would mean that something has received your stamp of approval and that you are really in agreement with the situation.  However – it doesn’t matter which definition you can relate to – the word sweet has a positive implication.

There are times when we have difficulty in trusting fully in God because we forget that He is the Almighty; the one and only all wise omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God!  He has no colleagues, contemporaries, or equal.  We seem to forget that NOTHING takes him by surprise!  He already knows exactly everything that will ever transpire in our lives!  Therefore we can’t conclude or compare our decisions concerning what He will do in a given situation, with what others have or have not done to or for us. In other words, because someone has failed or disappointed you – you shouldn’t base your trust in God against such.  God will ALWAYS base His EVERY move concerning you on His undying, uncompromising, unconditional, unwavering love for you.  That’s why we can trust Him!  That’s why it’s so, so, sweet to trust in Jesus.  And because His Word CAN’T fail – because He has promised that His word won’t return to Him void – we can take Him at His Word!  Hallelujah!!!!!

So Just Trust Him –when trials come.  Just trust Him – to turn every negative situation around in your favor.  Just trust Him to supply your every need and Godly desire.  Just trust Him for the salvation of your unsaved loved ones.  Just trust Him to do exceeding and abundantly MORE than you could ever imagine.

How do you trust Him?  By finding a scripture to correspond with your situation.  Then use that scripture as your spiritual medicine.   Just as your medical doctor may prescribe a medication to be taken three or four times daily – take your spiritual medicine throughout the day.  Now… some medications have to be taken for a while – and may even have several refills.  But we will religiously take it, and get the refills – and maybe even request a new script when we have exceeded the refills!! Nevertheless, that doesn’t stop us from trusting in that medicine! Well, when we apply the same tenacity with our spiritual medicine “taking” it throughout the day, week, month and maybe for the years – we will begin to build our trust channels in the Lord and conform our minds to the mindset of trusting Him.

Deitrick Haddon sings a popular song entitled “He’s Able”; which says,

Don’t give up on God cuz He won’t give up on you…He’s Able!”

Exceedingly, abundantly, above all, all you could ask or think according to, the power,  that worketh in you.

God is able to do just what he said he would do.

He's gonna fullfill every promise to you.

Don't give up on God cause He won't give up on you.  He's Able, yeah, He's able.

So just trust God and you will discover that it truly is “sweet” to trust Him.

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His Word;

Just to rest upon His promise, And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more! (Louisa M. R. Stead.)

Ability & Authority

“And when he had called unto him his twelve disciples, he gave them power against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.” Matthew 10:1

In the book of Matthew chapter 10 we can read a recorded account concerning the instructions that Jesus relayed to His disciples.  He informed them that He had given unto them the two key components which would be essential for the success of their journey as His disciples.

The power that was given to them as His disciples has not diminished. We still have that power today to accomplish every task that is mentioned. The Greek word for power that is used here implies the fact that we have been given the strength as well as the permission to assist this chaotic world in their quest to fulfill every void in their lives.

We must always remain cognizant of the facts that are stated in this chapter.  It is not by coincidence that in the very first verse is the mention of power against unclean spirits.  Today, many of these spirits which were previously working “behind the scenes” are now boldly and openly displaying their presence. Yet, we have already been given the ability and the authority to; eradicate, destroy and to totally dismantle them from wherever they decide to make their abode.  However because we have failed to properly apply our power, the world is now reaping the consequences of the same.

Therefore we must be more determined to use the power that has already been given to us.  We must personally decree and affirm who and whose we are.  It is imperative that I remain cognizant of the fact that:  It is because of the ability and authority that I already possess (because of the indwelling presence of the Holy Ghost) that I can be used by the Lord; and be that disciple who will decree and declare that:

  1. I will not conform to this world’s standards, policies and mindsets. (Romans 12:1 & 2)
  2. I will not become over whelmed as I labor for the Lord. (Galatians 6:9)
  3. I will not permit the advancement of the wicked to sway my decisions (Psalm 37:1)
  4. I will stand & praise the Lord in the midst of every situation - positive or negative (Ps. 34:1)
  5. I will remain faithful in the giving of my: gifts, assets and time. (Revelation 2:10)
  6. I will encourage myself; not lean to what I think; and daily enforce God’s plan for my life. (I Samuel 30; Proverbs 3:5-6; Psalm 61:8)
  7. I will, with the assistance of the Holy Spirit, stand steadfast unmovable always abounding in the work of the Lord. (I Corinthians 15:58)

So…. Let’s walk in the Confidence and in the Conviction of the Lord…… because we have already been given the Ability and His Authority!

My Ultimate Comforter in Every Storm

 “Jehovah El Ha-Melitz

…….My Lord, My God, My Comforter

(The Lord God my Comforter - Isaiah 51:12A)

"I, even I, am the one who comforts you. Isaiah 51:12A

Read Isaiah 40:1-11

Storms don’t come to last…they come and pass.

Therefore, Oh Lord, may I always retain my focus – regardless.  May I never permit tragedies, nor the abrupt and sudden onset or alteration of situations; to overtake, nor to overwhelm my mind.  May I always find the comfort and peace that I need, in my assurance and knowledge of who you are.

Father, may I always remain cognizant of the fact that every storm you permit me to encounter has a purpose.   You have fore warned me that in this world I will have trouble, trials, and tribulations – “storms”.  However, you have also taught me to be of good cheer because You have overcome the world and all of its adverse conditions.  Therefore, since You have successfully conquered all that this world has presented to You – I can take comfort in the fact that; through the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost, I also am an overcomer.

Lord, You have equipped us with the ability to remember the wisdom and Godly principles which were taught to us by many of our loved ones who are now with You. When I reflect, I can remember hearing the saying that the darkest hour is just before dawn.  So Lord, may I always take comfort in knowing that the sun WILL always appear again.  May I perpetually find comfort in you, Jehovah El Ha-Melitz .  May I stand in the midst of every storm and still yet declare that You are Lord. May the spirit of fear never be fueled by anything that may arise in my life; any action or any adverse words which have been released from my mouth……… because You are my ultimate comforter.

May I remember that You have orchestrated the timing and the nature of every storm in my life.  May I trust and cling to Your immutable anchor.  May I never cease to find solace in the guidance of Your omniscient and omnipotent eye.

You ARE my Jehovah El Ha-Melitz –, My LORD, My GOD, My KING,…… My COMFORTER!  Hallelujah!

Enhanced Instruments of Righteousness

“………..but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”  Romans 6:13b

What do your hear?  A new sound has been dispatched from the heavens and is seeking new instruments.  This sound is seeking the instruments that have the ability to receive it and blend it properly so that it forms a new chord!

In this season, we must listen with the ear of our spirit for the new chord.  As we hear it, we must receive it into our spirits.  Then it becomes our responsibility to share it and to instruct others in the proper disciplinary spiritual insights, which are required for them to become “new instruments”.

This new sound is a call to alertness, a call to dedication and a call to true holiness.  The message is the same; however the tactical maneuvers have been enhanced.  In this season; God is requiring His true worshippers to hear a sound; which has been released from a dimension that has not previously been available to them.

As this new sound is received here on earth, then blended by many (unified) and released back to the Lord - it will ascend as one voice; one perfected sound unto the Lord.  Although in the realm of the spirit - we may hear several complexed chords they will still ascend as one voice; one perfected praise unto the Lord.

This new sound, once we have received it into our spirits, will enable our souls to become transformed into the expressed mind and will of God. Now, at this point, our minds will have the capability of becoming renewed, and our bodies will be disciplined enough to be brought under the subjection of the Holy Ghost; and presented as a living sacrifice.

Many prophetic gatherings - true prophetic gatherings, are receiving the manifestation and the divine presence of the Lord as never before, simply because they have disciplined their spirits; and have heard the new sound.  No more “church” as usual!  It’s a new day and there’s a new sound that needs to be released among the people of God – by those who have the maturity to hear it.

This new sound - prophetic in nature, has no limits and no boundaries! Yet, its nature and it focus is discipline, its character is divine and its application is strategic.

Leaders, Warriors, the new sound has been released…..Have You Heard It

Independently Dependent

Independently Independent – Yet Dependent

“He whom the Son has set free, is free indeed.” John 8:36

In America today we are celebrating a holiday entitled Independence Day.  There have been festivities all week long; which will be concluded tonight with a finale marked by an elaborate musically choreographed firework display. People from various states have come here to Philadelphia for the purposes of expanding their knowledge of their country; as well as to engage in the enormous plethora of pleasurable activities.  Everyone is enjoying and sharing in the celebrations concerning their independence.

Just as equally or of greater importance is the fact that we, the Saints of the Most High God should be enjoying the fact that we are independently independent.  To be independent is to be; freed, liberated, unconventional, unconstrained and to an individualist.  We must never cease to remember that we have been released from all of the chains of the enemy; which previously held us captive. Our freedom has given to us the power and the authority to no longer be suppressed by the mindsets of this world and its chaotic influences. Our freedom has given to us the ability to excel in every task that we undertake.  Our freedom has given to us the advantage to decide for ourselves whether we will live or die.  Our freedom has afforded us with wisdom – if we avail ourselves to it.  That wisdom enables us to come to the realization that we must not – although free, be without; guidelines, perimeters and boundaries.

Therefore, although I am free…..I am yet bound. Although freed from the chains of the enemy; I have chosen to be totally dependent upon the established Kingdom Principles which will assure my current and future success.  I am free enough to be bound! I am free enough not to bow to the conventional, constrained traditions of man – which are desensitizing the effects of God’s Word. I am free enough to appreciate the individualistic character qualities that God Himself has entrusted to me.  I am free enough to walk above every circumstance in this life. Above all; I am free enough to stand in faith until the manifestation of God promises are made visibly evident.

So on this day of independence – I am totally independent of every: methodology, ideology, concept and precept of this world; its standards and its mandates. Yet, I am totally dependent upon the Holy Spirit for the wisdom, guidance, and the perseverance to implement every strategic plan that is required for me as a powerfully effective endtime warrior.

“ I have been crucified with Christ [in Him I have shared His crucifixion]; it is no longer I who live, but Christ (the Messiah) lives in me; and the life I now live in the body I live by faith in (by adherence to and reliance on and complete trust in) the Son of God, Who loved me and gave Himself up for me.” Galatians 2:20 AMP

You Are My Lord…. You Are My King

“ ...Because you are my LORD, you are my glory.”

Jehovah Kabodhi”

(The Lord My Glory – Psalm 3:3)
“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”        Psalm 3:3

Read: Psalm 3 & Psalm 27

Today, I will affirm that through your power, Jehovah Kabodhi, I will always bring your glory, radiance, and splendor into every situation.  I affirm that you are the lifter of my head.   I also affirm that failure is never an option.  I have given to you the place of authority, and supreme “ruler ship” in my life.  Therefore, as I permit my will, emotions, and thoughts to be further conformed into your image – I am becoming that vessel of honor; broken by your love; and completely covered by your shield of protection.

May I never, ever become so overwhelmed by the nonsense of the adversary, that I forget that no weapon he devises can prosper.  It is because of your place of lordship in my life, that you may delay but never deny me anything necessary for me to succeed.    As my shield, your power is both offensive and defensive.  May I always remember that as my Lord, it is through the sustaining power of your Holy Spirit, that you have sealed within me gifts and anointings that are being manifested in this season.   Lord, reveal to me every area where your lordship does not have the preeminent rule.  May I continually realize that in every area of my life where you are not Lord; I am committing self-sabotage.  I am opening the door; permitting an entrance for my enemies and placing a break in your protective shield.

May I never cease to honor, and uphold you as my true Lord over and in every situation.  May my mind never wander nor become double - minded….because you are my Lord.  May I daily cast down every vain imaginations and every high thing that attempts to exalt itself against your divine Lordship in my life.

Lastly, because you are my Lord, may I daily captivate and bring every thought attentive to your obedience. Since every action is preceded by a thought, if I permit you….. Through the Holy Spirit… to correct my thinking; I will receive a renewed mind.  I will then have the ability to establish your “Lordship” over my mind.  I will have a mindset that is governed by kingdom principles…. and my daily walk will reflect that which is worthy of your approval.

Thank you Lord that will never walk in fear because I am perpetually protected, triumphant and successful in my every endeavor!  You are my Lord…..you alone are God!

King of my life, I crown Thee now,
  Thine shall the glory be;
Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow,
  Lead me to Calvary.

Transitioned  for Transformation

If change is to be effective, relevant and complete, it must occur in our minds.  Therefore, if I haven’t altered my thoughts, opinions and ideas concerning a certain matter, then my actions will not produce a permanent change.

According to the dictionary; transitioned means a process or period which something underwent a change and passes from one state, stage, form, or activity to another.   Therefore by its very nature the word “transitioned” bears witness that I have altered some component of my being.

I have not transitioned if everything about me has remained the same.  However as previously stated this process of transitioning begins in our minds.  My actions will only reflex the activity that my control center - my mind - has ordered.

Transformation however, expresses the end product; a completed change.

Today, in this season, God is especially using those who have permitted their minds to be transitioned by the indwelling power of Holy Ghost…. and through that transition, He has brought them into a state of transformation that cannot – will not ever be diminished.  It is these Children of the Most High God, who have now been “Transitioned for Transformation”.

Although the renewing of my mind is a progressive process; once the transition has produced transformation in a given area – then, that area cannot ever be controlled by the enemy again.

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I now have the ability to treasure and to be entrusted with the “weightier” matters.

                                                                                                                     (Luke 16:11)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

My total allegiance is to no one but the Lord. (Matthew 22:37)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have no excuses for not walking in obedience to the call of the Lord on my life.

                                                                                                                      (Luke 11:28)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I know no defeat – I don’t have the ability to, nor the knowledge of failure.

                                                                                                               (Philippians 4:13)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have not reached perfection in every area – but I am a threat to the kingdom of darkness!

                                                                                                                 (Luke 10:19)

Above all; when I have been transitioned for transformation, I am now ready to:

Manifest, Reveal and Demonstrate.  I’ll receive the Manifestation…. Expose the Revelation.. and To be a Demonstration of God’s written Word for all to observe.

Was That God's Voice?

Was That God’s Voice?

“and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:4 &5

Many of you have asked me from time to time questions concerning the ability to distinguish the voice of God from your own thoughts and from the noise of the enemy.

As the end of time as we know it draws nigh, we have to maintain an alertness that will not permit the advancements of modern technology to further null or desensitize our natural abilities.  When we look in retrospect at those who have lived in previous generations – we will observe that they possessed the ability to be much wiser than we are today.  Our ancestors may not have had all of the “gadgets” that we now have, but they had the ability to use their natural senses in ways that are not common to us.

Just to side track for a minute.  We must be aware of the attack that has come against the verbal communication skills of our younger generation.  One of the end time strategies of our adversary is to get them to become so dependent on their devices that their brains lose their desire to communicate verbally.  Therefore, now we have a generation who can sit for hours – in the same room – and not verbally say a single word to each other!  But….will text each other instead of verbally talking. Can you see the strategy?  If they don’t value their ability to verbally communicate with one another, how can they comfortably verbally communicate with God?  Will they use their verbal voices to oppose the kingdom of darkness?

However, to be able to recognize the voice of God we must learn more about Him, and build a relationship with Him.  This is accomplished by spending valuable time in His presence and studying His word to the point that we will know exactly who He is.  When you were a child, no doubt there were times when your parents may not have been present.  However, because you had spent time in their presence and had come to know them, you know whether you could or could not adhere to certain behavior patterns.  You knew your limits because you knew your parents.

How can a bank teller know an authentic bill from a counterfeit?  Because they have studied the appearance and texture of real thing to the degree that they “know it”. So, how can we know the voice of God? By studying the real thing until we “know it”!  When we truly know God, then we will know His voice.  When we truly know God, we will know what behavior patterns are in accord with who He is.  When we truly know God, our thoughts, nor the noise of the enemy will sound the same in our ears, nor feel the same in our spirits.  When we truly know God, we will know what He desires, what He agrees with and what He want us to accomplish.  To know God is to truly love Him….And when you truly love a person….You will have no problem easily distinguishing their voice!

Nip It In The Bud...

Nip It In The Bud……

And Say “No Stubble Here”!

“Give us this day our DAILY bread” Matthew 6:11

Today I would like reflect to an advertisement from a well-known razor company.  The ad featured a picture of a young couple embracing one another. The slogan stated that “Love is never letting stubble come between you”.

The relevancy of this concept can also be applied to our relationship with the Lord.   When we read Song of Solomon 2:15; we are informed that it’s the “little foxes that spoil the vine”.  The little foxes can be compared to as “stubble”.  Sometimes our lives are composed of “spiritual stubble”.  We are harboring concepts and the like … although small in appearance, yet are greatly impacting our lives.

The word stubble is one of those words whose meanings can vary.  However for today we are referring to those small growths of hair that haven’t yet been shaven. Stubble is the initial process of what will appear. Stubble, although a natural occurrence, has the tendency to be extremely uncomfortable, as well as abrasive to anyone with whom it encounters.  To prevent the growth of stubble, regular maintenance is required. However, to eliminate the stubble that has already appeared; a sharpen tool, and the application of a skillful hand are required.

So in the natural…so in the realm of the spirit.  In many instances, we are more concerned about our outward, (physical) appearance than we are our inward, (spiritual). Our focus is more on the conclusive opinions of people.

The statement, “Love is never letting stubble come between you”, reminds us that nothing; regardless of how small it may appear, should ever be permitted to come between us and our love for the Lord.  Stubble can be referred to as those seemingly “little no harm” thoughts, actions and deeds that we may find ourselves involved in. Far too often, we fail to realize that it’s in the formative stages, the “stubble” stages,… prior to the total manifestation, where we must be the most aggressive. We can’t wait for ungodly thoughts to become actions…we must “nip them in the bud”.  (Remember “spiritual stubble” can also produce or result in ungodly actions such as: indecisiveness, procrastination, habitual latenesses, excessive or extreme eating habits, unbalanced lifestyles, etc.)

Again let me reiterate…. Our love for the Lord must excel to the extent that we will not permit stubble in any shape, form or fashion, to come between us and Him. How do we prevent stubble?  The regular application of our “dual edged” blade.  Hebrews 4:12 informs us: For the word of God is alive and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (NIV).

We can also prevent the growth of stubble by the application of a planned daily maintenance routine.  We must begin our day by spending time in the presence of the Lord.  This will not only “shave off” any stubble; but will prevent its growth as well.  Beginning your day with the Lord will prevent you from getting up on the “wrong side” of the bed!  Beginning your day with the Lord will assist you in framing your day with faith filled words and eliminating the formation of thoughts and expressions that will manifest into unwanted and undesired plans throughout your day.

So, let’s be more determined that we will not permit anything; regardless to its minute size to come between us and our love for the Lord.  Remember, it’s those little, seemingly “no harm” things….. that stubble… that hinder your walk with the Lord; robbing you of the effectiveness of God given authority, power and privileges.

Be aggressive!  Read and apply the Word of God to your life – daily!  Then you will never have to be concerned with the formation (or the retention!) of stubble.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”                         Psalm 139:23, 24 (KJV)

Are You Producing..........

Are You Producing….

Seedless Grapes?

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, …” Genesis 1:28

Throughout the Bible, the theme of reproduction is ever present.  In every era or dispensation we can observe that God intended for mankind to “establish & duplicate”.  In other words, God’s plan for mankind did not include mutated fruit – but fruit that would; “reproduce after its own kind” and fruit that would “remain”.

Seeds = potential.   Seeds represent God’s natural form of reproduction.  However, man has in his wisdom introduced an alternative to the wisdom of God.  For example, let’s consider how man’s intervention has interrupted the natural reproductive nature in the area of vegetation.   Now, although we all really enjoy eating the seedless varieties of fruit; can you make a connection between seedless vegetation and the seedless human race?  In other words, can mankind now so readily accept the introduction of lifestyles which are contrary to those originally instituted by God; because in our minds we have already accepted this concept?

God has planned for everything to reproduce “after its own kind”.  However, seedless grapes cannot be reproduced without the assistance of man.  For years now; we have just eaten them and have never given any thought to their origin.

I’m again reminded of the Cicadas who had made an appearance a few years ago; which had been underground for about 17 years.  Still alive; still thriving – but hidden! Many of the concepts of the enemy have been hidden for years, and even centuries!  However, because it is now restoration time – all that was hidden is now being revealed….but only “he who has an ear to hear” and an “eye to see” will be able to benefit from the many endtime revelations.

Think about it.  Could the concept of seedless grapes have mentally paved the road for the acceptance of homosexuality – (which is an attempt to alter the natural reproduction of the human race!)?  Could the concept behind the seedless grapes also have enhanced some of the “hassle-free” ideas that we have entertained concerning our work ethics?  Seedless grapes have no potential of their own and are completely contrary to every concept that the Lord has given to us in His word.  Seedless grapes represent man’s ability to develop and to improve upon something that God had already perfected….. just for the sake of convenience!

Now… don’t misunderstand me.  Will I cease to purchase seedless grapes? Absolutely not! (Not that I know of!) .  But just remember that God doesn’t want us to produce seedLESS grapes.  His desire for us is to produce fruit with the ability to reproduce after is kind – with no other interference than that which is generated and motivated by the Holy Spirit.

So, in this season; let’s be more mindful of anything in our lives that does not have the potential to be productive; as well as to monitor what we are reproducing.

By divine nature, we should all be reproducing some type of fruit. I challenge you today to permit the Fruit of the Spirit to be manifested ever the more in your lives.  Be determined that next year, or next month, or next week – will not find you still producing seedless grapes ….. But grapes with the potential to go forth; to reproduce and to fulfill the plans and purposes of God.

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:….”  John 15:16
