Prayer Reognizing God's Wisdom

Read slowly and thoroughly.

Prayer Recognizing God’s Wisdom ©2003

Father God, in Jesus’ name, I come to you.     I thank you for the wisdom to acknowledge you in all of your ways.

Your word declares that Wisdom is the principle thing - “The foremost ingredient”.  So I come to seek your WISDOM above all else.  With your wisdom, I will accomplish every task to the perfected level that pleases you.

Your wisdom demands that we alter and amend every thought, every motive, every dream - every issue of life and bring them subject to your divine will.  Your wisdom demands integrity to the utmost in every area from the most minute to the most extravagant.

Your wisdom promotes and provokes us to diligently press towards the mark of that higher calling in Christ Jesus.

Your wisdom orchestrates the tenacity, the endurance, the discipline, the assertiveness, the guidance and the forbearance required by me to discern and uproot every satanic and demonic weapon formed against me.  Therefore as your word declares, these weapons formed will not be able to accomplish nor produce the tasks that were assigned to them.

Father, I thank you for the wisdom to press beyond the veil.  The wisdom to no longer be content on this level, or in this place - the wisdom to seek you and you alone for my divine direction as I advance in my next dimension.

Because of my uniqueness in you, and because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, personally designed and hand crafted by you and for you; I have learned to appreciate all that you have placed within me.   I have learned how to willingly surrender my entire being - spirit, soul and body to you.  You alone and those whom YOU send to me have the wisdom to shape and mold me into your divine vessel.  I thank you for the wisdom to embrace my uniqueness in you.  It is through the revelation of that uniqueness that I am motivated to realize the fact that I will “do things differently”.  Therefore, I decree that I will pattern my life after Jesus and those qualities he displayed.

Lastly Father, I thank you that I have received an in-depth understanding regarding your wisdom.  I can now certainly acknowledge the fact that wisdom is the principle thing.  I will now strive as never before to bring every thought, word and deed captive to your obedience… and in so doing, I will be privy to that degree of wisdom, which will permit me to operate from the platform of your Kingdom Principles. With your wisdom guiding me, I now know that I can be of a greater threat to the kingdom of darkness – because the greater one is definitely abiding within me and daily alerting me to every diabolical trap that has been set for me.

Your Samuel Is On The Way!

Your Samuel Is On The Way!

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” Galatians 6:9

The Lord has instructed me to remind you that all of your praying and all of your fasting has not been in vain.  When we consider the example which was given to us by Hannah; we can glean an insight into the diligence which is required to remain faithful until your “Samuel” has been manifested.

The Lord has said that we must read once again the story of Hannah (I Samuel 1.)  We must remember that Hannah’s womb was closed by the Lord.   There was nothing wrong with the seed that was sown.   The seed had been sown into good ground.  The potential of the ground to produce wasn’t the problem.  God had intervened and would not permit the ground to receive and produce the seed.

God today is saying that for many of you, you have sown good seed, into good ground; however His appointed time for your manifestation had not arrived.  He has permitted you to be ridiculed, criticized, and mocked….. Even by those in the house of the Lord.  (Remember Hannah’s actions and intents were even mistaken by the man of God!)  Yet, you, like Hannah have continued to remain faithful and to endure through every test and trial.

We must remember that as we have been awaiting the arrival of our Samuel – our level of faith has been greatly increased and our stamina intensified.  Birthed within us; as we waited, has been a powerful level of humility and strength.  This dimension from which we now operate permits us to be a synonymous to a “bull walking through a china store”… however not breaking a single dish!  The wait has so fortified our faith and our relationship with the Lord – to the extent that we have become that profitable servant; totally sold out for the Him.

No one had to remind Hannah of the vow that she had made to the Lord.  If you have not arrived at the place in your walk with the Lord that you can honor your vows made to Him without the assistance of anyone – then you are not ready for the birth of your Samuel!

However, if you have prayed like Hannah did; remained faithful like Hannah did; endured the times of disappointment, discouragement and seemingly being defeated year in and year out – like Hannah did…..then you will receive you Samuel…..just as Hannah did!

Be encouraged….. God’s appointed time IS at hand!  You will receive your Samuel – just as Hannah did – simply because God is not slack concerning Him promises!  Every one of his promises are YEA & AMEN….. WHATEVER He has promised will; without a shadow of a doubt… come to past…….In HIS divine timing!

“ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”  Habakkuk 2:3

Where is God?

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God……….”     Psalm 14:1

When we consider the word “heart” we can observe that it is composed of several smaller words.  To name a few we have: he, ear, art, and hear.  So that reminds me that there is an “ART” to way that God composed my heart.  “HE” must always initiate and govern my “EAR” so that I will “HEAR” exactly what I should permit to enter my “HEART”.

So now … Where is God?  What place or position have I given to Him with regards to my heart?  What is flowing from my heart?  Do my actions imitate those which openly declare that there is no God?  Have I purposed in my heart to permit it to be governed by what I’ve heard from Him?

Well, as I proceed throughout my day; my response to whatever I may encounter; will reflect the position of authority and obedience that God reserves within my heart.  I must daily ask myself, “Are my: attitude, disposition, reasonings, decisions, temperament, etc. controlled by a heart that may indicate to others “There is no God”?”

I must have an ear to hear the voice of the Lord so that I will have the ability to guard my heart.  Far too often we have permitted our own opinions or the opinions of those who we thought were leading us correctly, to clog our spiritual ears.  Therefore we have permitted our hearts to be governed by our own thoughts – and by what we reasoned to be correct.  We’ve made foolish decisions; and usually repeated the some mistakes over and over.

To advance to the position that I can operate from the plateau which is governed by the wisdom of God, I must hear and recognize His voice.  To hear His voice I must open the ears of my heart.  To recognize His voice I must know (understand) His Word and spend time in His presence.

Again I ask the question, “Where is God”?  Prayerfully, at the end of each day; someone’s path that you’ve crossed will be able to say that they saw and/or sensed the presence of God flowing from within you.

Why?...... Because you had an EAR to HEAR what HE was instructing you to do….And your actions have been motivated from a HEART which isn’t perfect yet ….. But …which is reflecting that ART of the perfected love of the Lord.

Patience in the Hallway

Patience in the Hallway

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12

There are times when God has chosen to display His attribute of “silence”.  Now, although this character quality isn’t listed or written in any of the information concerning our Father; if you know Him to any extent; you can identify this as one of His traits.

So, what have you personally learned from God’s silence?  I have discovered that when we are in the “hallway” God chooses to test our ability to find our way to the next room.   When one door is nailed shut…. And we are waiting for another to open – we are in the “hallway”.    When we have difficult decisions to make and God is silent – we’re in the “hallway”.  When you’ve fasted, you’ve prayed and you’ve sown your seed for your need…. Yet God is silent…. You’re in the “hallway”…. Despite your cries and pleas….. God is STILL not saying a word!  And, the dilemma that intensifies our agony is the fact that we have no doubt that God CAN move in an instant!  So what’s happening? Why isn’t God moving…. Or at least saying SOMETHING?

It is in these times that we must realize that God is attempting to mature us and teach us how to patiently trust Him – even when we don’t hear Him.  He is attempting to elevate us to our next place in Him.   In other words when we find ourselves in the hallway; we should immediately realize that we’re being tested.  God has placed us in a “proving ground” to enlighten us, and to inform our enemy of our growth since our last visit to the “hallway”.  We are daily growing and advancing to new heights in the Lord.  Yet these increases are internal; can’t be seen – but can be shown.  So what other way can our adversary know that we’ve grown in the Lord, except by the fact that when he tempts us with prior weaknesses – and we don’t yield as we previously would have?

Therefore, as I’ve often said, “Don’t expect God to answer you when you’re being tested – because the teacher never talks during a test.”  God knows all things, so our testing isn’t to reveal to Him information that He isn’t aware of.  Our testings are for us...and the adversary.

How do we learn to be patient in the hallway?

1. By openly acknowledging that God loves me and IS working all things for my good.

2. Finding a scripture to use as a focal point of strength and encouragement.  Read it regularly throughout the day.

3. Refuse to speak doubt filled, fear related words.

4. Remember that you will not progress to your next level until you’ve passed the hallway test.  Therefore you will repeat this same test until you can walk through the hallway; without pacing and wring your hands….But patiently walking to the next door, and waiting for it to open.

So when God is silent, stand on what you know.  Don’t permit the enemy to make YOU further delay the process by focusing on your “hallway” conditions.  Remember..in the natural,  things appear quite differently than they really are.  Never permit your faith in God to waver – regardless.  If we would begin to stand on the promises of God in the difficult situations, then we would realize that when we are in the hallway, that’s the prime time to encourage others.  Although doubt and fear will attempt to discourage you – but determined that you will rest in the comfort of your knowledge of our omniscient, omnipotent Father and His promises to never leave nor forsake you.

(Faith + Trust+ Hope) – (Fear, Doubt, Unbelief) = PATIENCE!

But if we hope for what we do not see, we wait for it with patience.” Romans 8:25 ESV

Lord, YOU are my strength!

Lord, YOU are my strength!

“JEHOVAH UZZI”

(The Lord my strength - Psalms 28:7)

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. “  Psalm 73:26                                                  New Living Translation (©2007)

Read Psalm 28 & Psalm 73

As we have daily encountered the circumstances of life, we have realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but the strength of the Lord.

The word in the above text for strength translates as “rock”.  Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you are still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge you in all of my ways.  Daily may I remember that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock, that pillar and that fortress forever in my life.

So Lord, when everything: every foundation, every prop, every  support system that has been erected in my life—is shaken….may I never, never, never forget that YOU are my strength…..my rock.

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.

Dottie Rambo wrote a song that influenced many other song artists to re-record it entitled, “I Go TO THE ROCK”.   Permit the lyrics to minister the healing, peace, and the stability that only a rock can confirm.

I Go To The Rock

Where do I go when there's nobody else to turn to?  Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen?
Who do I lean on when there's no foundation stable?

I go to the rock - I know He's able - I go to the rock.

The Lord is the rock I go to the rock for my salvation; I go to the stone that the builders rejected,
I run to the mountain and the mountain, he stands by me.

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand. On Christ, the solid rock I stand,
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend….. I go to the rock.

Where do I go, where do I go; When the storms of life are threatening?
Who do I turn to when those winds of sorrows blow?  And is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?

I go to the rock - I know He's able - I go to the rock!

Lord, I'm Available

Lord, I’m Available

Into your hands I commit my spirit….. Psalm 31:5

I recently had the opportunity to speak to someone that I hadn’t seen for quite some time.  This person is a minister and has been used mightily for and by the Lord.  When I questioned them concerning their current status; they informed me that they were not longer “interested” in ministry.

Although we all have those days when we FEEL as though it’s easier to just throw in the towel, we can’t be motivated by our feelings!  We can’t afford to permit the enemy to bring us to the conclusion that the Lord has made a mistake when He has chosen to give to us certain gifts.

So how do we keep up the momentum?  How do we remain available to the Lord year upon year upon year? How do we continue to stand - regardless?   Listed below are a few suggestions.  Always remember… although you may not be able to physically see the impact that you are making in the realm of the spirit… if you weren’t accomplishing anything – then the enemy wouldn’t try to convince you to give up!   The stronger that the desires are for you to just “give it up” - the more you should be assured that you are really a “throne in the flesh” of the enemy.  Now is not the time to take our spiritual gifts for granted. The Lord needs the availability of ALL of us more now than ever before.

We must, as endtime Saints; remain available to and for the cause of Christ; available for the move of God, available for the work of ministry and above all available to be used totally for and by the Lord.

To be certain that I remain available I must:

  1. Spend quality time in the Lord’s presence ( Matthew 6:9-15; Psalm 92:2)
  2. Develop a pattern of fasting on a regular basis  (Matthew 6:16)
  3. Read your sword daily  (Psalm 27:8)
  4. Don’t ignore the guidance of the Holy Spirit (I Kings 19:12)
  5. Live a lifestyle that is so committed to the Lord, that the devil finds no open door within us to gain an access. (Galatians 2:20,21; John 14:30b; Romans 12:1,2)
  6. Know that the Lord wants to use me and can use me.

Ron Kenoly expressed it this way: “If you can use anything Lord, You can use me. Take my hands Lord, take my feet, Touch my heart Lord, speak through me, If You can use anything, You can use me.

So, continue to “make yourself” available to be used of the Lord.  Remember…. Some lost soul maybe waiting just for you!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”                                                                                                                     Galatians 2:20

You Are Someone's Bridge

You Are Someone’s Bridge

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Although you may not have viewed it from this perspective; but God has birthed within you the ability to be a bridge for someone else.  He has given to you the wisdom, compassion and the authority to safely transport someone from their current place to a new place in Him.

If we were to do a little research in the area of architecture, we would discover that there are basically four different types of bridges (sources vary to the exact number; with some listing up to seven).  Nevertheless, all of them are responsible for transporting; and for being that reliable connection between at least two points.

The purpose of the bridge is to provide passage OVER a given situation.  Therefore it matters not the type, weight limitations, or composition of the bridge – its job is to transport OVER obstacles.

As you view yourself as someone’s bridge; you will realize that it is your responsibility to undergo routine, scheduled “maintenance checks”.  You can’t neglect your spiritual, nor your physical overhauls.  You need to be effective and preserve under carrying the weight of another.   Wisdom is the key.  Consequently, you must always remain cognizant of the fact that EVERYTHING you are involved in; positive or negative; will affect your durability, your tenaciousness and your level of sensitivity.   God has already given to each of us the character qualities which are necessary for us to perform efficiently according to the type of bridge that He designed us to be.

Don’t permit the enemy to cloud your mind or to disillusion you!  YOU are someone’s bridge.  Although you may not have considered it - nor be aware of who that person(s) is(are); someone is watching you and is depending on you to carry them over their next obstacle in life.

Lastly, remember that the bridge offers hope.  A bridge makes the unspoken statement that – “this is not the end of your journey”.  A bridge proclaims that, “I am your ACCESS OVER the problem, difficulty, hindrance, obstruction or blockage”.

In some battles the Lord will tell us to stand and to fight.  Then, there are others where He instructs us to simply “take a bridge OVER” them!  In other words, speak to it and keep it moving!  It is in those instances when you; as a God ordained “bridge”….can be used of Him to assist someone over their troubled water … by reassuring them that His undying, unconditional love…. Still yet prevails.

So remember…. you are someone’s bridge. Stand strong, stay focused, and be tenacious.  Regardless of what you experiencing ….. you are a vital asset to someone as they pursue their destiny.

Clean Hands....AND a Pure Heart

Clean Hands….AND a Pure Heart

……..Who may stand in his holy place?  The one who has clean hands and a pure heart…

Psalm 24:3 & 4

One of the prerequisites to maintaining a proper relationship with the Lord is for us to regularly monitor our actions and our motives.  The above scripture acknowledges the importance of both of these qualities.

There are many instances when people have asked if doing certain things will cause them to go to hell.  However, while our eternal state is of great importance – our daily walk is of equal relevance.   My daily walk as a Christian will establish one of two points.  It will verify that I sincerely love the Lord – more than I love myself.  Or it will confirm that although I have acknowledged Christ as my Savior; I have not matured in my relationship with Him.

The statement “clean hands”; above the obvious, is also making a reference to those things that we are involved or associated with.  We also must be certain that we have not become members of various organizations (especially those of you who are in college) whose origin is demonic.  There are several groups who are accomplishing much within in our communities and making a great impact.   However the real motive is to get you to become connected with them.  Therefore, by doing so, you have willingly given satan an access.

A “pure heart” reflects on my intentions.  If my actions are correct – but my reasonings which support my actions are not resonating from the character qualities of the throne of God – then I am operating from a place of deceit, deception and dishonesty.  My actions also must not be the results of: the spirit of fear, past feelings of rejection, anger, pride etc.

Colossians 3:17 states, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

The word clean refers to the state of …while the word purity refers to the composition of.  Both are of grave importance to our ability to function successfully in our daily walk – as well as to our relationship with the Lord and His ability to use us effectively.

A pure heart is a heart in which the Holy Spirit has free reign; where He can manifest the fruit of the spirit; and a heart that has been guarded ……and protected from diabolical or wicked guidelines.

Clean hands also refer to our works. Are our gifts being used in unpolluted and uncontaminated manners?  Are we utilizing the proper methods to properly cultivate our gifts… hence producing “clean” and holy representations?

Today, God is calling us to a place of discipline that requires us to be more authentic than in days past.  This level of effectiveness will not just produce a “Church Service Emotional High”; but will manifest deliverance, change and “Fruit that will remain”(John 15:16)!

So What’s the Verdict?

You are arrested.  The accusation in question: Being a follower of Christ – a Christian.

Will there be found enough evidence to convict you?  Let’s see!

When your family is questioned, what will their responses reveal?

What impact, if any, have you made on your neighbors and in your community groups?

When your fellow co-workers and your friends are interrogated – what will their reactions be?

What will be the findings recorded in your check book, from your bank statement and regular purchases made?

And let’s not forget your computer.  What will the history of sites that you’ve visited, a search engine or the social groups that you are involved in support?

If your picture were to be shown to people who may not know you personally – but see you on a regular basis; what would be their opinion of the type of person that you appear to be?

If your picture were shown in the a few clubs or to a few servers at the restaurants that you frequent….. what would be said?

If your picture were to be shown to some of the merchants where you shop – would they say that their inventory always displays a decrease upon your departure – even though you may not make a purchase?

And let’s not forget about showing an active concern for: the sick or homebound, those who are incarcerated, the homeless, the widows, the orphans and the elderly.

So think about it.  Are you really making enough of an impact and leaving a “paper trail” that will, without a shadow of a doubt, be able to conviction you of being a follower of Christ?

We all have “works” that are on display for others to observe.  However, we are instructed to let our lights shine so that our GOOD works will be seen. (Matthew 5:16 – “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”)

Our ultimate purpose for being here is to draw others to the Lord.  In other words, the only reason why we are still here is that we still have more work to do….more souls to impact for the kingdom of God.  Matthew 5:14 in the Message Bible says it like this:

“Here’s another way to put it: You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept.”

So if you were accused of being a follower of Christ, and based upon the evidence that would be gathered - would the jury quickly submit a verdict of absolutely guilty… without a shadow of a doubt?  Would they be dead locked? Or would they submit a decision of not guilty?  Think about it…… begin today to acquire more evidence to physically support your inward conviction!

How Do YOU Measure Success?

How Do YOU Measure Success?

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  Psalm 37:4

The word success is one of those words whose meaning is understood or established by the intent of its user.  Therefore, because everyone has pre-determined differently their own set of aims, goals and purposes – we can agree as well as disagree on what we deem to be successful.

In this era it is imperative that we “re-determine” who and what we use as our “plum-line” to measure success.  Our overall motives must be geared more towards the eternal than the temporal.  In other words; it’s time for us to permit our spiritual appearance to outweigh our physical appearance.  We should deem it of greater importance that we are recognized in the realm of the spirit – than in the natural.

Think about it.  When you arise in the morning; even prior to getting out of your bed; what impact have you made in the realm of the spirit?  What level of success did you achieve even prior to entering into your devotional time with the Lord?

To accomplish any plateau of success, one must realize that their future estate hangs upon the decisions that they permit their minds to develop and conclude.  Therefore, I must realize that if I utilize what the world deems as “success” to govern my life; I might not avail myself to gleaning the best of life.  (Romans 12:1&2).

Prayerfully re-consider your goals; long term, intermediate and short term.  Never permit the enemy to convince you that you can’t accomplish whatever your dreams may include.  If you can dream it – you CAN accomplish it! (Philippians 4:13)

Lastly, don’t become apprehensive about seeking the advice of those who have already accomplished something similar.  Be determined and develop a sense of tenacity that will endure – REGARDLESS! The first person that you ask might not be the person that the Lord has decreed to assist you…. But don’t be a quitter! History has revealed that most of the accomplished writers, inventors, musician, etc. were once told by “professionals” that they would never make it…. BUT GOD…….!!!!!

So remember: Every level of success is achieved when YOU have accomplished the intent that YOU have pre-determined.

The Three "F's"

The Three “F’s” -Focus, Fill, Forget

“………The JOY of the Lord is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10

Today the Lord wants us to know that it doesn’t matter how situations may appear to be; nor does it matter what sort of negative or bad news we may receive.  We must learn to permit the JOY that is contained within the Word of the Lord to be our strength… our support system and our well from which we can draw cool and refreshing water.

Sometimes we have a way of permitting the cares of this world to weigh us down and weaken us.  Most of the diseases and ailments that we are afflicted with today are the result of years of worry and stress.  In many instances we have inherited these genes from our biological  parents….. who were themselves the products of generations where stress and worrying were prevalent.

However, now the Lord wants us to remember that he has instructed us to rejoice in Him always…. – and again, He reminds us to rejoice.  HOW? By allowing our strength to come from the Lord.  HOW? By learning to Focus, Fill and Forget.

  1. Focus more on the Blessings that on the Curses, on the positive more than the negative, on the good rather than the evil.  Focus, Focus, FOCUS!!! (Deuteronomy 28)
  2. Fill your mouth with more positive than negative words. (Proverbs 18:21) Fill your physical territory; your home, your desk, and your car; with constant reminders of faith filled words.  Replace as many things in your life with items that will build and affirm - not diminish your faith.  Create an atmosphere of being optimistic – wherever you are!  Let praise always be in your mouth.
  3. Forget yesterday; today is a new day.  Forget the arguments, the misunderstandings, the regrets, the childhood rejections, and anything that attempts to steal your peace.  Not one decision that occurred in the past can be amended.  We can only attempt to alter the consequences or the results of those decisions.  So begin each day as a new day, with new opportunities, new strategies, and a new agenda.  An agenda of forgetting the past and pressing forward.                         (Philippians 3:13)

Many years ago, our youth choir sang a song and it said, “I’ve got the J – O- Y; JOY, Joy of the Holy Ghost…. Don’t Let the Devil steal your joy…. Joy of the Holy Ghost.

They also sang another song….. “Hallelujah Anyhow”.  Never let the devil get you down, when life’s troubles come your way, hold your head up high and say HALLELUJAH ANYHOW.

Our only survival plan for this era is to:

Focus our minds on the promises of God.

Fill our mouths with faith filled words.  And above all…

Forget any and everything that will not yield to my advancement, my motivation and my stamina.

Then we will be in the position, and have the mindset, which will usher us into the place, that will truly allow the JOY of the Lord to be our strength.

Defeated Foe or Confident Warrior…….The Decision is Yours!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

If we were to take a quick poll of those who are operating in leadership positions within the body of Christ, we would readily discover that many are operating from the mentally of “defeat” instead of “confidence”.

Today ask yourself from which platform you are truly functioning.  Does your confidence in the promises of God end at the onset of the least little “boo” from the enemy’s camp?  If so… you’re a Defeated Foe!  Has your level of faith still not matured to the state where you can place your petitions before the Lord; according to 1John 5:14 & 15 and move on?  If not….. you’re a Defeated Foe!   Are you still “hoping” after you’ve confidently made all of your decrees and declarations?  If so… you’re a Defeated Foe!

A warrior is one who can’t be conquered!  Even in the event that the outcome of a given situation may appear to show signs of loss – a true warrior always wins!  Why?  Because a true warrior has the mental stability to maintain their focus in the midst of any situation.  A true warrior knows that they may encounter disappointing situations, but THEY are never defeated …because they triumph in every situation (2 Corinthians 2:14).   A true warrior will have many battle scars – yet they will still say and mean – “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face” (Job 13:15).  A true warrior will genuinely believe that their hope and trust are in the Lord. (And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Ps 39:7). A true warrior will “Always and ALWAY” (w/o the “s”) – have a Praise in their hearts and a shout in their mouth (Ps. 34:1).  A true warrior never quits – but maintains the tenacity of a bull dog.  A true warrior is NEVER impressed nor surprised by anything that emanates from the enemy’s camp – but views every circumstance as an opportunity for God to do the miraculous and His name to be glorified!

So I ask again – Which are you… Defeated Foe or Confident Warrior? Your works and lifestyle tell the story!

I’m Still The Legal Heir

Read: II Samuel 4:4 & II Samuel 9

One of my favorite writings from the Bible is found in II Samuel 9.  This story is about a boy named Mephibosheth.  I don’t have the time to relay the entire story…. But, the bottom line is that Mephibosheth, who was the son of Jonathan, and the grandson of Saul was being carried by his nurse when he was quite young. One day Jonathan and Saul were both killed in the same day.  The city became in an uproar. Mephibosheth’s caretaker was trying to protect him from any harm by removing him from the commotion.  So she began to run with him in her arms. However, while she was running; in her haste, she dropped him – and as a result, he became permanently crippled.   Longer story short….He was therefore sent to live in a place called Lo Debar.   Years later, King David inquired if there was anyone still alive from the linage of Jonathan.  Mephibosheth’s name came up. King David sent for him; rescuing him from Lo Debar and brought him to live in the king’s palace.

Today we must remember that negative incidents from our past can’t prevent us from receiving what is rightfully ours!  There are certain blessings that we are privy to - simple because of whom we are.  Mephibosheth had no idea that he was going to be blessed.  As a matter of fact, when King David sent for him, he was fearful thinking the worst! But…He was a legal heir – and wasn’t even aware of that information.

So because of my spiritual linage I am a legal heir to everything that my spiritual Father possesses.   I am an heir of my father’s; and that makes me a joint heir with Christ (Romans 8:16).  I therefore, can expect to walk in the power and in the authority the Christ possessed; yet in a greater magnitude; producing a greater return (John 14:12).  Wealth and riches are in my house (Psalm 112:3); and the devourer is rebuked (Malachi 3:11)!

As a legal heir I must realize:

  • Who I am, whose I am and for what purpose I have been placed where I am.
  • I am called to live in this world; however my royal linage will not permit me to become comfortable in anything that doesn’t represent my regal status.
  • My every anticipated provision has already been accommodated for.
  • When God’s appointed time arrives: He is able to and will send someone from somewhere to come and rescue me from my Lo Debar and reward me what is rightful mine.

…..Because I AM a legal heir….therefore I AM walking in greatness – REGARDLESS!!!

Broken Boundaries

Broken Boundaries

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

To live a life that has been crucified requires that we establish and maintain boundaries.    Therefore, I must at any cost not permit the cares, pleasures and lifestyles of this world to persuade me to permit my God given boundaries to become broken.    Today, we are witnessing the effects of “broken boundaries” in our homes, our government…and what’s even worst, within the body of Christ.   The body of Christ as a whole has the power to totally uproot and overthrow every diabolical decision that our government attempts to impose upon us.   However, because we have permitted so many boundaries to become broken; the Holy Spirit who resides within us is no longer living through us.

We must at all times remain cognizant of the fact that the boundaries which God has established for our lives must remain intact.  Sadly to say; far too many of us have permitted ungodly perimeters to guard our spirit, soul and body.  We have gradually, inch by inch removed the “ancient landmarks”.  Therefore, as a result of these broken boundaries; the body of Christ as a whole has loss her stamina, power, authority and respect.  Now… there are groups here and there who are attempting to make an impact.  However, when you consider the amount of people who profess to be Christians (and who have claimed to have surrendered their lives to the Lord); and compare it to the influence that we are exhibiting in major decisions; it is evident that we have too many broken boundaries.

I can remember in times past when the “real” Saints didn’t participate in various games of chance; now you have houses of worship sponsoring trips to the casinos….. Broken boundaries.  Previously, Saints didn’t watch various programs on the television; now you can hear and see them  enjoying to dialect about some of these programs which are nothing short of night time soap operas!…… Broken boundaries.  We have also broken the boundaries when considering what we permit our spiritual diets to contain.  Most spiritual diets today aren’t composed of enough spiritual nutrition to sustain a newborn Saint…..Broken boundaries.

Let’s become more focused on allowing the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to truly live through us.  This means taking a non-compromising stand for everything that God opposes….regardless!  This means no negotiating or “plea bargaining” when it comes to what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we say, what we wear; our giving and our living; our dispositions and our attitudes.

So… because we have been crucified with Christ, trust God!  Allow the life that we now live, to truly be an example of a living sacrifice….. of a lifestyle that exemplifies the power, and the authority of  the Holy Spirit who inhabits our spiritman.  The world needs what we have…and who we have.  Therefore we must, at any cost, refuse to permit our boundaries to remain broken!

Create An Atmosphere of Excellence

“Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other presidents and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” Daniel 6:3

As we proceed daily to accomplish all that the Lord has assigned our hands to do; we must always remain cognizant of the fact God expects us to be a living example of excellence by creating this type of atmosphere wherever we are.  This character quality appears not to be as important to some as it should.  One of the causes for the failure to build an atmosphere of excellence is the fact that many are still being held captive in a mindset that has been produced by a spirit of poverty and lack.  Therefore, although they are productive in the realm of the spirit; although they love the Lord; and are living a lifestyle that is well pleasing to the Lord…they lack the ability to create an atmosphere of excellence.

The Spirit of excellence; prior to its demonstration; must have the ability to engulf our minds to the extent they we can first detect anything that is in disarray within us.  Excellence begins inwardly and flows from within.  Excellence is a mindset that commands and demands that we bring into a state of order….. everything – on every level and in every situation.   Therefore, when we have permitted this Spirit of excellence to begin a work WITHIN us …. we will then possess the ability to permit that Spirit to be released FROM us and to infiltrate atmosphere AROUND us.

One of the main culprits of the Spirit of Excellence is an undisciplined or unconscientious mind.  My ability to bind and uproot any degree of “slackness” that may be within my mind… is to first be able to… “Recognize its fruit & uproot”!   So because excellence refers more to mental condition; I can be a millionaire and still not have a disciplined mindset…. And lack the ability to create an atmosphere of excellence.  My ability to create an atmosphere excellence is not based upon my material gain or assets.   My ability to create an atmosphere of excellence is dependent upon my weightiness in the realm of the Spirit.

To create an atmosphere of excellence I must daily refuse to permit others to clutter my mind.  I must maintain a sense freedom.  To create an atmosphere of excellence I must be determined to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.  Finally, to create an atmosphere of excellence I must live according to Philippians 4:8 which states….

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.”

And Let Us Not Be WEARY!

“And Let Us Not Be Weary….

We Will Reap –If We Don’t Quit”

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”         Galatians 6:9       (The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense will be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance – we will immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to persevere under misfortunes and trials; to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances… then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”.

When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl is not digestible. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t fulfilled its purpose and yielded the benefit for which it was created.   Now… if the fruit is going to be consumed by our bodies, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be broken down and transformed into another state so that it will obtain the ability to be absorbed by our bodies.  Then it will be totally useful and valuable.

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure …..and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….WEARY.  Sometimes we become weary because we have focused only on our spiritual man and haven’t amended the activities that will benefit our physical man.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation.

Change requires Endurance…..and Endurance also produces Change!  It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to endure every facet of change as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change…. and not give up …..nor become weary!

New Place – New Position

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:19 (New Living Version)

The Lord has said: “My people are all in a new place and have a new position.  (You should have realized this – if you didn’t already know this; go into a period of consecration as to awaken your discernment.)

Think it not strange that you “feel” different and that the things around you appear to different. The winds have shifted and you are in a new place.  You are now in an enhanced dimension.  You are about to embark upon a new venture.  For some your physical location may be the familiar; however your mission has now been altered, elevated, enlarged and broaden.  Advance, proceed and press forward quickly and cautiously.  It is important that in this dimension you don’t become stagnate, idle or inactive.  Don’t look back.

Stay freed from every entanglement that once held you captive …. the positive as well as the negative.  The enemy knows the important role that you are now in the position to assume.  He is going to attempt to keep you preoccupied with “being busy”…. doing and engaging in assignments that are positive but not God ordained for this season.

Embrace the change by altering whatever you can in the physical realm; this will assist your mind in forming new thought patterns.  If possible change something in your décor; the places where you shop or dine.  Be creative. It may even be as simple as changing something in your normal daily agenda….. But change something!  The shift has already occurred in the realm of the spirit; therefore it won’t be difficult to transform your physical realm.   We have the mind of Christ; therefore, change is only difficult because we have been programmed to believe so. Remember Philippians 4:13!

Don’t expect the assurance or the acceptance of others.  As long as you have my validation, said the Lord….that’s all that matters. Your mandate has already received my stamp of approval.  Continue to guard your heart.  Stand boldly and stand strong in your authority.  It is imperative that your mind stays free.  Walk in peace, walk in power, walk in my promises … and you will continue to walk in my provision as never before.”

“May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.”  Romans 15:33

Transitioned for Transformation

Transitioned for Transformation

If change is to be effective, relevant and complete, it must occur in our minds.  Therefore, if I haven’t altered my thoughts, opinions and ideas concerning a certain matter, then my actions will not produce a permanent change.

According to the dictionary; transitioned refers to a process or period which something underwent a change and has passed from one state, stage, form, or activity to another.   Therefore by its very nature the word “transitioned” bears witness that I have altered some component of my being.

I have not transitioned if everything about me has remained the same.  However as previously stated this process of transitioning begins in our minds.  My actions will only reflex the activity that my control center - my mind - has ordered.

Transformation however, expresses the end product; a completed change; a makeover.

Today, in this season, God is especially using those who are permitting their minds to be transitioned by the indwelling power of Holy Ghost…. and through that transition, He is bringing them into a state of transformation that cannot – will not ever be diminished.  It is these Saints who are “Transitioned for Transformation”.

Although the renewing of my mind is a continual process; once the transition process has reached a level of completion…. (transformation)…. in a given area – then, that area cannot ever be controlled by the enemy again.

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I am learning how to treasure and to be entrusted with the “weightier” matters. (Luke 16:11)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I am learning how to prioritize my allegiance in and to the Lord. (Matthew 22:37)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I am learning not to use excuses for not walking in obedience to the call of the Lord on my

        life.   (Luke 11:28)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I am learning to know no defeat – I don’t have the ability to, nor the knowledge of failure.

                                                                                                               (Philippians 4:13)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have learned that even in my current state –  I am a threat to the kingdom of darkness!

                                                                                                                 (Luke 10:19)

Therefore, I can appreciate every stage of my transitioning…… because God’s focus is fixed on my destiny…… my completed state of transformation.

“And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”  Psalm 39:7

God is committed TO me.

He has made a covenant WITH me.

His love has provided a covering FOR me.

Therefore I Am:

HHolding on

Affixing ….with the tenacity and the grip of a mad bulldog; my every desire, concern and

request to the alignment of God’s word.

“Therefore be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord”

                 I Corinthians 15:58

O - Optimistically

Remain confident.  Refuse to permit fear, doubt and unbelief intervene.  Speak no negative words… nor permit anyone else to clutter your space with the same.

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him….” I John 5:14

P - Pressing

Pursuing; pushing through and against every obstacle that is attempting to cause me to disbelieve the promises of God.

“And we pull down reasonings and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and we take all minds prisoner to the obedience of The Messiah.”  2 Corinthians 10:5

  EExpecting

Awaiting; believing; and in excited anticipation of something that you haven’t seen the

         manifestation of – yet.

“We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair”.

                  2 Corinthians 4:8

It doesn’t matter how the circumstances may appear; nor the opinions of others nor the evidence which is stacked against me;

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”…God to bring into manifest the benefits of every seed that I’ve sown, which is ready to be harvested.

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… to see a change in the lives of my unsaved loved ones in accord with the prayers that have been prayed on their behalf.

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… God to use me in a fashion that I have not previously known.

Lastly,  “I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… God to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that I could ever ask, think, or imagine……and to do it through His power that is at work within me!

And HOPE maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  Romans 5:5
