... Any Wicked Way

….Any Wicked Way

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139: 23 & 24

When I consider the word wicked, I often refer to wicker furniture.  What differentiates this type of furniture is the fact that it has been uniquely processed.  Wicker refers to the weaving process that the material has under gone.  So wicker furniture has been woven in a way that will produce a certain effect.

Far too often our hearts have been interwoven with concepts, motives, ideologies, etc. which have produced in us a wickered or wicked way.  We have – in many instances unknowingly – been indoctrinated by traditions, rituals, and the like which have lead us down the path to bondage.  We have within us areas which are still harboring the spirits of: anger, deceit, and fear.  Pride is still on board and has intricately been woven into our hearts causing us to unknowingly “bow” to various idols.

Of course, none of us have erected ancient day idols in our homes; but what is worst is the fact that we have them within our hearts!   We, on many occasions; establish, pay homage to, and hold in too high esteem the reverence for “people, places and things” over our relationship with our God. A reverential respect and fear of God has not taken its rightful position within our hearts.

The true revelation of all that is within our hearts, will only by produced by an illumination from the Holy Spirit.  So on a personal level; I need to sincerely seek the face of the Lord, and ask Him to reveal any wicked or wickered way that is within me.  Then I must learn to succumb to His leading as He directs me to the path which will allow me to obtain a renewed heart – totally submitted and committed for His use.

“Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong - then guide me on the road to eternal life.” Psalm 139: 23 -24 (The Message Bible)

Seedless Grapes

Seedless Grapes

“And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, …” Genesis 1:28

Throughout the Bible, the theme of reproduction is ever present.  In every era or dispensation we can observe that God intended for mankind to “establish & duplicate”.  In other words God’s plan for mankind did not include mutated fruit – but fruit that would; “reproduce after its own kind” and fruit that would “remain”.

Seeds = potential.   Seeds represent God’s natural form of reproduction.  However, man has in his wisdom introduced an alternative to the wisdom of God.  For example, let’s consider how man’s intervention has interrupted the natural reproductive nature in the area of vegetation.   Now, although we all really enjoy eating the seedless varieties of fruit; can you make a connection between seedless vegetation and the seedless human race?  In other words, can mankind now so readily accept the introduction of lifestyles which are contrary to those originally instituted by God; because in our minds we have already accepted this concept?

God has planned for everything to reproduce “after its own kind”.  However, seedless grapes cannot be reproduced without the assistance of man.  For years now; we have just eaten them and have never given any thought to their origin.  I’m again reminded about the Cicadas who made an appearance last year; which had been underground for about 17 years.  Many of the concepts of the enemy have been hidden for years, and even centuries!  However, because it is now restoration time – all that was hidden is now being revealed….but only “he who has an ear to hear” and an “eye to see” will be able to benefit from the many endtime revelations.

Could the concept of seedless grapes have mentally paved the road for the acceptance of homosexuality – (which is an attempt to alter the natural reproduction of the human race!)?  Could the concept behind the seedless grapes also have enhanced some of the “hassle-free” ideas that we have entertained concerning our work ethics?  Seedless grapes have no potential of their own and are completely contrary to every concept that the Lord has given to us in His word.  Seedless grapes represent man’s ability to develop and to improve upon something that God had already perfected.

Now… don’t misunderstand me.  Will I cease to purchase seedless grapes? Absolutely not! (Not that I know of!) .  But just remember that God doesn’t want us to produce seedLESS grapes.  His desire for us is to produce fruit with the ability to reproduce after is kind – with no other interference than that which is generated and motivated by the Holy Spirit.

“Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain:….”  John 15:16

Does It Really Matter?

Does It Really Matter?

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 ESV

Many people often ask questions in regards to the appropriateness of their ability to listen to secular music.  Usually, these questions are received from those who still haven’t been able to comprehend the importance of a properly enriched spiritual diet.  It reflects not on the longevity of one’s salvation experience; but on their level of spiritual maturity, as well as their ability to discern the effectiveness that music has on the soul of man.

God has created us with the ability to respond to the sound music in a fashion that we respond to no other stimuli.  Everything that is living reacts to sound music.  Music is considered a universal language.  Why? Perhaps because in all actuality, written music emanates from the soul of the writer.  As a child of God – one of my main concerns should be to mimic my Father – in every aspect of life.  Therefore, how can secular music; which has been produced from the soul of one who is in direct opposition to my Father; be of any sincere benefit to me?  If I believe; as the Bible states that God is love (I John 4:8); how can someone who doesn’t know God, even begin to tell me ANYTHING about love?   If I am still finding the necessity to seek comfort, enjoyment, relaxation etc. from something that is not of God – what is that saying about knowledge of and my relationship with God?  Am I saying that God is limited in His ability to produce those whose music has the potential fulfill my every need?  Or have I not matured to the extent that I no longer require the crutch of secular music? Or have I not really become aware of the fact that the enemy is using secular as an access to my spirit man – a door that I have willingly opened for him?

In this era where we are constantly bombarded with various “instruments” which are directly contrary to those of the Lord; we must be alert and on our guard for anything that will attempt to divert our attention and devotion from the Lord.

“…… let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” Hebrews 12:1

Could secular music one of those weights? You be the judge!

Where is God?

Where is God?

“The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God……….”     Psalm 14:1

When we consider the word “heart” we can observe that it is composed of several smaller words.  To name a few we have: he, ear, art, and hear.  So that reminds me that there is an “ART” to way that God composed my heart.  “HE” must always initiate and govern my “EAR” so that I will “HEAR” exactly what I should permit to enter my “HEART”.

So now … Where is God?  What place or position have I given to Him with regards to my heart?  What is flowing from my heart?  Do my actions imitate those who openly declare that there is no God?  Have I purposed in my heart to permit it to be governed by what I’ve heard from Him?  As I proceed throughout my day; my response to whatever I may encounter; will reflect the position of authority and obedience that God reserves within my heart.  I must daily ask myself, “Are my: attitude, disposition, reasonings, decisions, temperament, etc. controlled by a heart that may indicate to others “There is no God”?”

I must have an ear to hear the voice of the Lord so that I will have the ability to guard my heart.  Far too often we have permitted our own opinions or the opinions of those who we thought were leading us correctly, to clog our spiritual ears.  Therefore we have permitted our hearts to be governed by our own thoughts – and by what we reasoned to be correct.  We’ve made foolish decisions; and usually repeated the some mistakes over and over.

To advance to the position that I can operate from the plateau which is governed by the wisdom of God, I must hear and recognize His voice.  To hear His voice I must open the ears of my heart.  To recognize His voice I must know (understand) His Word and spend time in His presence.

Again I ask the question, “Where is God”?  Prayerfully, at the end of each day; someone’s path that you’ve crossed will be able to say that they saw and/or sensed the presence of God flowing from within you.

Why?...... Because you had an EAR to HEAR…. And your actions have motivated from a HEART which isn’t perfect yet ….. But …which is reflecting that perfect love of the Lord.

Praise God….Now?  Are You Serious?!!

…….when the people gave a loud shout, the wall collapsed;……  Joshua 6:20

When do you feel is the best time to praise the Lord?  Well, believe it or not….your response to that question will reveal the level of your spiritual maturity!  Far too often our focus in difficult situations is geared towards the incorrect focal point.  In the times of adversity, we permit that dynamic trio; fear, doubt and unbelief, to make their grand appearance….Even returning for a curtain call!

We must always and alway (no “s”); remember that God has already – prior to the onset of our uncanny situations; made available to us the most powerful weapon that has ever existed.  Every living creature is equipped with this weapon.  Although, because many people use this weapon incorrectly its effectiveness is greatly diminished.  The weapon in question is our mouth.  With one mouth and its ability of articulation; we can observe the victory or defeat of an entire nation.  The Bible verifies such in Proverbs 18:21, by stating that death and life are in the power of the tongue.

So back to the original question…. What’s the best time to praise God?   Well…When we obtain the ability to grasp the totality of God’s love for us – then we will be able to do a Psalm 34:1….and bless the Lord at all times.   We will understand that regardless to our current circumstances; He is only perfecting and grooming us into who He created us to be.

So in the midst of every adverse occurrence; at the onset of every contrary wind; in the heat of every battle; and when you feel as though conditions couldn’t possibly get any worst…… those are the ideal times to open up your mouth and to give God some praise.  We must never forget that the enemy’s game plan is to cause us to focus more on what we can see with our physical eye….. (which is temporal and subject to change);…than on the promises of God (which are eternal & immutable).

However, there is a method by which we will be able to maintain our focus in the midst of the chaos.  We must daily fortify, strengthen, and toughen our spirit man.  We must reprogram our actions.  We must in the times which are less stressful, reinforce our minds with positive confessions and prepare for the next attack…. Because it will come!  We all have heard someone blurt out a few “profane” words when they’ve become stressed or overwhelmed.  That same mouth can be trained and that mind disciplined to understand that God is yet working out EVERYTHING for their good.  Therefore instead of cursing – they would be praising!

Lastly, remember that we are to praise God “IN” all things… not necessarily “FOR” all things. Praise is the weapon that is readily accessible to us and can travel with us everywhere.  Praise is that weapon that totally confuses the enemy…. And above all praise is that weapon that acknowledges that God is still in control and that He is never going to leave me nor forsake me.

In my former church, used to sing a song entitled “Hallelujah Anyhow”.  The song tells us to hold our heads up high when life’s troubles come our way …. and say “Hallelujah Anyhow.  Another song was “Give Him The Praise”.  The refrain (or the vamp) said, “In the good times, praise His name, in the bad times do the same; in EVERYTHING, He’s the King of Kings; so give Him the praise.  Although they might not have realized it, but as the older saints sang those songs – they were instilling in their minds; and aligning their spirits, with the foundational principles which are required to successfully defeat every adverse situation.   They knew that the time to shout the greatest was in the midst of the battle – and not just at the end.

So… when you think… “Oh I just can’t praise God now”.  Yes…. I’m serious….. that is the very time when you MUST open your mouth and acknowledge Him of Lords.  At the very time when it would seemed the most inopportune – GIVE GOD THE PRAISE…. And watch your walls begin to collapse!!!

Don't Judge - Just Love

Don’t Judge – Just Love

“Judge not, that you be not judged. For with the judgment you pronounce you will be judged, and with the measure you use it will be measured to you.”       Matthew 7:1 &2 (ESV)

Who are you judging?  Of course your immediate response to this question is – “No one.  I don’t judge anyone.”  But if you were to closely monitor your actions, thoughts and motives; they would reveal quite the opposite.

To judge is to arbitrate; assess; to rule on etc.  Therefore, prior to one having the ability to perform such; they must have ALL of the correct information.  They must have the truth versus the mere facts.  Far too often we view situations from our own opinions or our own knowledge of a given – which usually contains a limited, biased amount of information.  Far too often instead of loving ALL people; in EVERY situation; we – though unintentionally -  show expressions of love to some more readily than others.

God needs us – His ecclesia; His church – to be the living examples of the type of unconditional love that He had demonstrated while He was here.  He hasn’t called us to judge anyone – only to love them.  He hasn’t asked us to condemn anyone – only to love everyone – all of the time.  We must realize that when we are judging others – in most instances we are doing so from a residue of the spirit of pride that is still lingering within us.

Ask yourself; “What is hindering me from showing unconditional love to everyone that I encounter?”  I must remember that everyone that I encounter on a given day will have on opinion of me.  Will I have left them with an impression that SHOWS them the love of God?  If not, why not?  Whatever the reason maybe…. “it won’t hold water!”  In other words – whatever my reasoning – God will not receive it as acceptable.  He has loved me through, in, and prior to all of my fallacies.  Now He expects me to go and to show that same love to others.

He has shown us through His Son that His love extended beyond the boundaries of culture, race and creed (John 4).

He has shown us through His Son, that His love extended beyond the boundaries of presumptuous sins (John 8: 1-11).

He has shown us through His Son that his love extended beyond the boundaries of those who had falsely accused or wronged Him (Luke 23:34).

Therefore, whatever reason we may express – God will show us that His son has already encountered it, endured it and defeated it!  We are therefore without excuse for any valid reason for judging ANYONE.

So, I must remember:

·       I can’t allow the opinions of others to keep me from reaching out to those who are in need of receiving God’s love from me.

·       Ask myself – WWJD (What would Jesus do??)

·       My actions must reveal the love that God has extended to me.

“….What the world truly needs is love….God’s unconditional love which knows no prejudice…… shown to others…. by His people who have received the same!”

Clean Hands….AND a Pure Heart

……..Who may stand in his holy place?  The one who has clean hands and a pure heart…

Psalm 24:3 & 4

One of the prerequisites to maintaining a proper relationship with the Lord is for us to regularly monitor our actions and our motives.  The above scripture acknowledges the importance of both of these qualities.

There are many instances when people have asked if doing certain things will cause them to go to hell.  However, while our eternal state is of great importance – our daily walk is of equal relevance.   My daily walk as a Christian will establish one of two points.  It will verify that I sincerely love the Lord – more than I love myself.  Or it will confirm that although I have acknowledged Christ as my Savior; I have not matured in my relationship with Him.

The statement “clean hands”; above the obvious, is also making a reference to those things that we are involved or associated with.  We must be certain that we have not become members of various organizations (especially those of you who are in college) whose origin is demonic.  There are several groups who are accomplishing much within in our communities and making a great impact.   However the real motive is to get you to become connected with them.  Therefore, by doing so, you have willingly given satan an access.

A “pure heart” reflects on my intentions.  If my actions are correct – but my reasonings which support my actions are not resonating from the character qualities of the throne of God – then I am operating from a place of deceit, deception and dishonesty.  My actions also must not be the results of: the spirit of fear, past feelings of rejection, anger, pride etc.

Colossians 3:17 states, “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.”

The word clean refers to the state of…while the word purity refers to the composition of.  Both are of grave importance to our ability to function successfully in our daily walk – as well as to our relationship with the Lord and His ability to use us effectively.

There's a Missing Voice!

There’s a Missing Voice!

“… let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name.”  Hebrews 13:15

Have you ever been in a location and heard the voice of someone call your name?  Without even turning around – you knew exactly who it was.   It didn’t matter how many other people were there, when that familiar voice called out to and you – you heard it.

Today God is saying there is a voice missing.  He is saying, “When I listen to the praises of my people..  there’s a voice missing.   When discussions are being held concerning the leading and guiding of spiritual and secular matters… there’s a voice missing.  At the beginning of each new day that I’ve given to you… there’s a voice missing.  In the middle of the day, I’ve been waiting… but there’s still a voice missing.  Then at the end of the day; after I’ve taken you successfully through and carefully guided you around every “landmine” that the enemy had waiting to destroy you; I’ve listened…. But still there’s a voice missing.”

Are you that missing voice?  Is your voice the very one that the Lord is longing to hear not only in your devotional time, but in; your home, your school, or on your job?  How about in the mall or at your favorite restaurant?   How about in your neighborhood? Have you been strategically positioned by God in various places because YOU had the voice that was needed…. But still you refused to use your voice for Him?

The Lord needs us to verbally acknowledge Him more that we have in the past.  As we actually express to Him verbally throughout the day, our feelings of not only gratitude, but of love and adoration – then we will begin to notice that He will be able to more adequately direct and govern our day.

Your voice, your spoken word, has the power to do exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever imagine.  However, if you don’t release it – it’s useless!  Death and life ARE in the power of YOUR tongue.

Don’t permit the enemy to gain any more ground because your voice is that missing voice!

Be bold… Be Confident…and Be Heard!

Perennial or Annual?

Perennial or Annual?

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain….. John 15:16

One of the advantages of living in this region is that we have the opportunity to experience the distinct changes in the weather temperatures.  Accompanying those “seasons” are also a variety of flowers.  Some of which are classified as perennials, while others as annuals.  Both are capable of producing an array of blooming plants.  Although many will continue to bloom throughout the summer – with the arrival of the colder temperatures the distinction will be revealed.

Perennials are those faithful plants that are able to endure the winter temperatures and remain unaffected by the cold. It doesn’t matter how bitterly cold the temperatures, nor how much snow falls during the winter season; those perennials will return year, after year, after year.  Even some of the early spring perennials will begin to bloom in the snow – because they have been made to endure.

Now on the other hand we have those annuals.  These are the flowering plants that we must purchase yearly.  Although many can endure the heat of the summer – when the temperatures begin to dip  – so will they.  These tend to be those “fussy” plants.  Some of them like and thrive in the sunny sections of the garden; while others enjoy the shadier sections.   Some enjoy daily waterings; while others will survive the heat of the summer days.  Nevertheless, they are beautiful – but only for one season.  It doesn’t matter what type of soil you plant them in, nor the mixture of food you give to them – when the temperatures begin to change – so will they.

Now… at this point you should already be able to anticipate my next question!  What type of Saint do you believe yourself to be?  What type would others consider you to be?    Perennial or Annual?  What facts or truths can be presented as evidence to support or confirm your status?  What would be the basis for your responses?

God have equipped us ALL to be “Perennial Saints”.  (II Timothy 2:3).  We must learn how to “take a lick and keep on tickin”.  We must never permit the “winter season” in their lives to have the ability to prevent us from being the: faithful, dependable, loyal, committed, dedicated and the true person that God has already fortified us to be.

While I’m not a farmer, I do know that fruit trees are perennials!  Therefore, if I am going to produce fruit in the realm of the spirit – I must be able to endure – as a good soldier.  The Bible declares that we will be known by the fruit that we produce (Matthew 7:16).  However, you can’t plant an apple tree today and receive apples tomorrow. (Normally!!)  If we are going to produce fruit for the kingdom, then we must learn to be perennials.

I have these tulips (perennials) that faithfully return yearly.  However, because I don’t go through the trouble of digging them up every year; (which would give them a chance to rest) – and replanting them  … each year when they return they will bloom…. Yet the blooms are decreased in size yearly.  The change was gradual and barely noticeable for the first year or two.  Nevertheless, when I look at my yard now over a period of many, many years the flowers are much smaller than the newer purchased ones.  So what does this mean?  We must take the time to get our proper rest.  Far gone should be the times when we are permitting ourselves to work, and work and work – year in and year out and think that we will still be able to maintain and produce a maximum output.

We could continue with the comparison of Perennials and Annuals, however I’m sure that you’ve received the concept by now.

Make the proper adjustments immediately; first to be a Perennial.  Next to establish a healthy regimen that will avail you the opportunity to be a fruit bearing tree.  Lastly, pray that your fruit will be perpetual in nature.

No More "Cubic Zirconia" Gems

No More “Cubic Zirconia” Gems

I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” ….. Psalm 139:14

God has not designed, nor produced anything that is not authentic.  However, far too often we in the body of Christ have been “hoodwinked” into thinking that we must pattern, copy and mimic the actions of others.  We fail to realize that God has created each of us uniquely different.  It is His desire that we examine the life of Christ in every aspect; and configure our lives according to the example that He has displayed.

I am reminded of the time when I was looking through one of my copies of Vogue magazine.  One thing that was very prevalent was - each designer displayed their own unique style.  Their creativity was boldly exhibited as they dared to be different.  Not one of the designers attempted to copy or to mirror the ideas or handiwork of their fellow artists.  Something else that is very obvious was the fact that it didn’t matter who did or didn’t appreciate, applaud or accept their creations – they still dared to be that original designer; and they used their creative ability to the fullest.

We must remember that God has not created any cubic zirconia gems!  What is a cubic zirconia gem?  It is an imposter, an imitator and an impressionist in the realm of the spirit.  It is one who pretends to be something that they are not.  It is one who thinks that they must walk, talk, shout, preach, etc. - exactly like someone else.  It is one who has failed to realize that God has created them to be an original designer for Him – and not the carbon copy of another. It is one who has permitted the enemy to convince them to participate in actions of “self – sabotage”; therefore making them of no threat to his kingdom!

So.... dare to be unique!  Not arrogant, boastful, or heady; but boldly confident in whom God has created you to be.  We must always adhere and conform to EVERYTHING that God has spoken and had recorded in our Bible.  If we are going to be successful as endtime warriors – we must decide to give the Holy Spirit permission to use our creative ability.   Why settle for being a cheap copy – when you can be a costly original? Come from behind that mask and refuse to be hindered any longer in those areas where you sense insecurity!  God is waiting for you to begin to display what He has placed in you.

No one can beat you – being you.  The world needs what the Lord has placed inside of you.  Be determine to a diamond (maybe still needing to be refined – but that’s okay!) and not a cubic zirconia gem.  Remember….The time is now….. and the person is YOU!

Not more Word..But More Wisdom

…Not more Word….But More Wisdom

“Lord may I daily walk in a state of wisdom that operates above my physical age, and experiences.”

El De’ot”

(The God of Knowledge - Proverbs 19:8)

“Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore get wisdom and in all of thy getting, get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

Read: Proverbs 4 & James 1

To have obtained information, yet lack the knowledge and the understanding of its application; is equivalent to walking in a rain storm; carrying a closed umbrella; and complaining that you are now soaking wet!  Many Christians today are experiencing a since of being “overwhelmed” by the circumstances and the occurrences of their daily lives.  Most are truly devoted Saints - who can tote, quote and know who wrote the Bible.  However, they have not received the wisdom for proper application of the God’s word.

So today Father, I will no longer be content in my current state.  I refuse to be one who has simply memorized your Word – but lack the wisdom that is embedded within your Word.  I ask that you El De’ot, reveal to me the hidden treasures of your Word.   I understand that I can no longer afford to walk in ignorance concerning the application of your principles.  You have given me a work to accomplish. I have the tools, I have the plans, and I have the true desire to continue to walk in your divine guidance.  However, the missing element which is now vital, is a degree of your wisdom which is equivalent to or which surpasses the amount of your Word that is within me.

El De’ot, May I always remember that for every minute that I am not aggressively applying your wisdom, “I” am permitting a delay in the manifestation and the execution of your plans for my life.   “I” am opening the door for diabolical distractions. “I” am giving fuel to kingdom of darkness and giving it permission to release and execute its plans…… Simply because “I” have not intensely sought you for wisdom.

Therefore, I will plunge into you and seek your wisdom at any cost.  The degree of your wisdom which I have already attained, mandates that I push through EVERY obstacle, and pursue not to get more of your Word – but a fuller understanding of the Word that I have already obtained.

I will, I must, and I can; with a renewed tenacity seek the guidance and direction that is only procured from you; My omniscient Father…. My God of knowledge… My El De’ot.

Ants Always Anticipate & Advance

“You lazy fool, look at an ant.  Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two, nobody has to tell it what to do.  All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions.  So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?  How long before you get out of bed?  A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!

                                                                                               Proverbs 6:6-11 (The Message Bible)

A while ago I read an article which had been written by John C. Maxwell regarding various lessons which can be learned from the ant.  He said that ants have:

A-   Attitude of Initiative (Self -motivated)

N- Nature of Integrity (Work faithfully and need no outside accountability)

T- Thirst for Industry (Labor hard & will quickly replace their anthill when it gets destroyed)

S- Source of Insight (Store provisions in summer)

When we consider the ants we can also observe that they are never intimated by obstacles or the presence of anything that they may encounter.  Whatever is placed in front of an ant will not defeat or convince it the surrender…. or become distracted from its mission.  They may be forced to discover an alternative route – however they won’t quit!  The ant is one of the smallest creatures – yet they are some of the hardest workers.

Also, the ants “make haste while it is day”.  They know that the night will come when they will not have the ability to work. (I’m not referring the physical nighttime!) We should become encouraged from the tenacity which is shown by the ant.

The ants are always anticipating …..always in preparation for tomorrow.  The ants always keep in mind that they must advance…. That their mission is before them.  There are times when you may observe that an ant is attempting to carry a load that is twice their size – however, because they have a mindset that is motivated for success; they will always achieve their goal.

We, like that ant, are “wired” for success.  Therefore whatever obstacles that present themselves must be conquered….. simply because the Bible says that we can do all things through God’s strength (Philippians 4:13) AND that we are MORE that conquerors (Romans 8:37)!

So, looking forward, let’s always, with great: expectation, motivation and determination have that same zeal which is found in the ants.  The road may be long and the journey seemly all up hill; however we must keep in mind the old cliché: a winner never quits… and a quitter and wins!

Is Fear Hindering Your Progress?

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.  II Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Why did you still have an array of unaccomplished projects waiting to be completed?  Why are you still not boldly advocating or displaying the spiritual gifts which you possess?  Have you permitted the reminders of your past failures to paralyze you – and prevent you from “getting up” and trying again?  If you can affirmatively agree with these questions, the spirit of fear could very well be your deterrent.

It’s time for us to aggressive attack this spirit and forbid its return.  If we don’t uproot this spirit of fear – it will continue to hinder our progress - permitting us to continuously, vigorously run a spiritual treadmill …. Building strong muscles….but going nowhere!

I’m once again printing the prayer concerning fear.  Read it daily for a few days to gain the maximum results.

FEAR BE GONE!  (© 2003)

F

ather God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, - but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door. I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again.

I will now begin the process to renew my mind – daily.  I will develop a new appetite which desires your decreed will for my life – freed from every diabolical hindrance.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

In Jesus’ Name.  Amen

...And Doubt Not!

…And Doubt Not

“Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not……” Matthew 21:21

Our limited concept of the miraculous power and authority of God can often be compared to that which was housed in the minds of the Biblical disciples. Although they had actually seen the demonstrated displays of His power, the Bible states that they marveled and they seemed amazed with the rapid results of Jesus’ spoken words (Matthew 21:20).  What is even more interesting is the fact that Jesus declared, that after all that they had seen – they still lacked in their ability to understand who He was.  Most importantly they didn’t fully comprehend who TEYHEHHhhhhhHEY were because of their relationship to Him.  Jesus responded to their insecurities and named them “doubt”; informing the disciples that even though one has faith – doubt can’t be on board.

Today, we are often encased in that same “prison” of doubt.  Doubt has established invisible barriers around our minds and has prevented us from understanding and really gasping who we actually are in Christ.  We fail to experience the enormous amount of power that belongs to us simply because we permit doubt to: enter in……get a latte….. sit back and get comfortable!

So I present a challenge to you: refuse to permit this spirit to control your actions any longer.  How is this done? By the continual process of identification and eviction.  Daily we must move in the confidence that is established in the Word of God.  Therefore, when doubt attempts to surface – acknowledge it; then cancel the effects of its power and evict it by SAYING the Word of God.  Don’t doubt yourself!  You must know… If I can think it – (and it’s legal!) I can do it!

When Jesus walked the earth, He did what no other person had ever done prior to His existence.  Why? To give to us the example that we have been empowered by our God to manifest on this earth what other gods of other religions can’t produce.  He was the living example FOR us, to demonstrate TO us, some of the things that we should be accomplishing.  However, we must rid ourselves of doubt.

Doubt comes to:

D – Destroy; O – Override; U – Upset; B – Bind; T – Threaten.

To destroy our dreams and hopes.

To override God’s power and authority.

To upset the foundation that has previously been established.

To bind us by limiting and forbidding our progress.

To threaten us by making us presuppose the worst. (And then he brings in his “roadie” FEAR!)

Make a conscience decision to actually DO what God has placed in your heart, mind and spirit to accomplish.  Come into an agreement with; and a oneness with the plans that the Lord has for your life.

When the people were attempting to erect the tower of Babel; the Bible said… and NOTHING shall be impossible for them because they are of one mind (Genesis 11:1-7). If we, as people can accomplish anything that we desire when we become “as one”….. can you imagine what would  result if we ever totally became  “as one”… in total agreement with God (John 17:21)?

So, be bound… not more!  Be deceived ….no more. Take the limits off.  Send doubt the memo by: text, FB, Twitter or Instagram……. that all future performances have been cancelled!

Now BOLDLY walk in your authority!

I Must Forgive!

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read Psalm 99 & I John 1

Until we have received an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for man, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness.

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.   The act of forgiveness is more beneficial for me than for my offender. Inevitably, when we increase in our knowledge of; and become engulfed with an awareness of God’s love - then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that the act of forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  The act of forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive God’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness – which permits me to establish a gap in my relationship with the Lord!

Now… contrary to popular belief…..what a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to decide that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders!  HALLELUJAH!!!!

So, Lord may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me….. and walk in the freedom thereof!

Faith, Faith, FAITH

Faith, Faith, Faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

We have been taught through the Word of God, that Faith is obtained by not simply listening to the Word of God – but through understanding that Word that we hear.  However, what so frequently occurs is that we don’t properly understand the Word.  Then, since we don’t fully understand the Word, the enemy is able to steal the effectiveness of the Word.  (Read the explanation of the parable about the sower and the seed as recorded in Matthew 13:18-23).  Without the proper understanding – we open the doorway of our minds to the knocks of fear, doubt and unbelief.

We are all given a measure of faith.  However, it then becomes our responsibility to move forward and upward on the “faith ladder”.  I would like to encourage you to check out the seven types of faith that I’ve listed below.  No doubt this list is not conclusive - just a simple measuring stick to get the ball rolling.

Want to unlock the pathway that leads to more faith??? – The master key is labeled.. “HEARING”!  But not mere listening.  Repetitious listening that will enter my outer ear; begin to penetrate through and dismantle my former mindsets….. and find a resting place in the depth of my spirit.   When the Word that I hear begins to institute change …. I am on the road to producing a HEARING ear.  It is this “hearing ear” that creates the platform my faith to be increased!

********************************************************************

Seven Types of Faith

(Not Listed in any Specific Order)

1.     Natural Faith (Ex.- The type of faith that we extend to: bus drivers, our Doctors, our

banks,  - no one has ever questioned a bus Driver about their credentials – we just

by “natural faith” take a seat and ride!)

2.     Little Faith (Matthew 6:30)

3.     Mustard Seed Faith (Matthew 17:20 – small but potent)

4.     Great Faith (Matthew 8: 8 & 10)

5.     Measure of Faith (Romans 12:3)

6.     Faithless Faith (John 20:27)

7.     Visual Faith (Luke 5:20)

My Ultimate Creator

My Ultimate Creator

 “JEHOVAH BORE”

(The Lord Creator - Isaiah 40:28)

“Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.”

                                                                                                        Psalm 51:10

Read Psalm 51

Today O God may my cry unto you flow from a heart that has the capacity to receive more of your creative nature.   I acknowledge now that it is only through your Divine craftsmanship that I will be freed from every impurity.  So I ask you not to renew my heart; but to create - to take from “my nothingness” and compose a completely new heart; a throne from which I will have the ability to receive a renewed spirit.  May I no longer be enslaved to those concepts, precepts, ideologies and strongholds that are relative to my former sin nature.

Today Jehovah Bore, may I begin to totally understand the awesomeness of who you are.   Only you could CREATE a plan that would permit the redemption of fallen man.  Only you could CREATE a plan for the justification of fallen man. Only you could CREATE a plan for the sanctification of fallen man.  Only you Jehovah Bore could CREATE a plan that reveals your ultimate love for fallen man.

So today, I submit and surrender my heart to you Jehovah Bore, for a complete cleansing; thus producing a “newly created” heart which is now composed from none of the negativity or ignorance of my past.  A brand new heart which possesses a “newness” that only you through the power and presence of Holy Spirit have the ability to CREATE…… AND IT IS SO!!!  HALLELUJAH!!!!!

"Create In Me A Clean Heart" by Donnie McClurkin

Create in me a clean heart; And purify me, purify me
Create in me a clean heart; So I may worship Thee.

Cast me not away from thy presence; Please don't take your spirit from me
And restore the joy of salvation; So that I may worship Thee.

Create in me a clean heart; And purify me, purify me
Create in me a clean heart; So I may worship Thee.

It's The Process

It’s The Process

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

Today we in America are living in an era where spending long hours preparing and cooking food is almost to be compared with typewriters and dinosaurs!  We’ve adhered to and adjusted to the notion of reducing some of the steps; cutting a few corners; while yet expecting the end product to still remain the same. For example; if you are going to bake rolls – the dough must be made, permitted to rise; punched down; reshaped; and then permitted to rise all over again.  Then, after more preparation… placed into a hot oven where the process continues.  If just one process is eliminated; if just one ingredient is measured incorrectly; if just one condition adjusted – the end product will not produce the expected and anticipated results.  The entire process must be permitted to “run its course” – if you desire to have rolls which have the correct texture and taste.

When we read the story of Joseph’s life; (Genesis 37:3-41:4); we can realize that life is a process.  Joseph didn’t advance to be the King without enduring every stage of his process.  Far too often we are attempting to reign as a King, without the experiences of a pit.  Joseph had to endure the consequences and glean wisdom learned; in the pit, at the house of Potiphar, and in the prison; prior to his ability to reign in the palace.

Every occurrence in your life is vital!  Every circumstance is a building block that has been permitted, as a foundational pillar, from which your future will be erected.  If just one incident in your life had been altered – you would not have gleaned the experience, nor the wisdom that you now have.  Every process is of grave importance.

Always remember the concept of making rolls.  When making rolls, the dough will rise only to be punched back down again… and sometimes again. Then reshaped and set aside to rise again.

So don’t become discouraged when you have exceled….. only to find yourself knocked down and back at square one all over again…. But rather rejoice.   There are lessons to be learned on every level that will equip us for our future stability.   God has made plans for your life.  He is simply taking you through the process that will bring you to His expected end for you.  Wherever you are right now – your present conditions are only temporary.

Remember…. It’s life.   It’s vital.  It’s God ordained….. and……   It’s the process.

God Has Called You To Greater

God Has Called You To Greater

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20

Take a look at where you are now – physically…. God has called you to a greater place.  Now consider your vocation or your daily routine…. God has called you to a greater place.  Think about your spiritual walk…. God has definitely called you to a greater place!  Whatever you have already achieved; whatever you have already accomplished; whatever ground you have already acquired – it just doesn’t matter – God has called you to a greater place!

Therefore, we must now embrace an expectation from the Lord, which will give Him no other alternative than to catapult us to our next place in Him.  The initial step is to acknowledge that you are called to greater! Then, seek to advance yourselves in the spiritual arena.  As you embark upon enhancing your walk in the realm of the Spirit…the manifestation of your “greater” will become a reality in every other area of your life.  For far too long we have settled and become “comfortable” in our current state.

We must realize that we are all unique – alike …. But yet different.  God hasn’t made any two people from the exact same mold.  It has been discovered that even identical twins have at least one distinguishing characteristic.  Therefore we must engulf the notion that we are called to operate in our giftings as originals, and not carbon copies of anyone else.  I cannot excel to my greater place; spiritually, economically, socially, financially or emotionally until I establish the “God appointed”; unique goals for MY life.

Begin today with the determination that your mind will achieve a “greater place” status.  Increase your mental capacity by learning at least one new fact daily.  It isn’t necessary that it is spiritual in nature (however that would probably be of the most benefit in the long run!).   Advancing to my greater status begins with a thought… which when activated… will become a reality.

One of the surest and quickest avenues to obtaining my “greater” status is to assist and to push someone else on their road to acceleration.  Seeds sow will still manifest the same.  Whatever I sow – that will I also reap (Galatians 6:7).  This is a natural as well as a spiritual law!  Luke 6:38 is still relevant! Give and “IT” shall be given to you.  Don’t judge – just give! (Matthew 7:1).  Don’t be stingy in your giving – because your return will reflect the same (II Corinthians 9:6).

Unless I can realize that I still have a “greater” within me; I will not advance to that place ….. and next year…  I will be in the same place that I am now!  Dreams are excellent and are necessary – however, the time has now arrived for our dreams to become the manifested reality of the “greater” that we all have within us!

Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].”

Ephesians 3:20 AMP

Don’t Just Read… Absorb & Apply

“And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.”  Joshua 1:8 (The Message Bible)

While studying the Word of God is vital for today's leader, meditation is essential.  Meditation is compared to a form of rumination.  There must be a "chewing" and a digestion of the word of God if we are to avail ourselves to the embedded power, wisdom and vision that the Lord desires for us.

To obtain a deeper insight into meditation, consider the digestive system of a cow. This same process is applicable to meditation.  The quality of your Christian life and the level of your spiritual maturity will largely be determined by what you think about.   We in America have a saying, "You are what you eat."  Absorption and transformation can begin only after we have masticated the word of God.  This process is initiated through meditation.

Please note, I don't have ANY reference here to transcendental meditation which involves totally clearing your mind, chanting and incantation.  Our reference is solely to spiritual meditation.  Not just any spiritual meditation, but only that of which we seek to gain ALL of our power, strength and insight from God the Father….That which has been demonstrated by Jesus, His Son… and imparted to us through the Holy Spirit …. Period!

We place far too little value on the material that we permit our minds to meditate upon.  We fail to realize that if we think on the things that we have been instructed to think upon (Philippians 4:8); then we will do what we are supposed to do.  We are a called to be living testimonies. People see what we do. Therefore if our actions are not God motivated – it’s because our minds are not meditating upon the correct information.

Leaders, the revelations that we had obtained "yesterday" are not going to equip us to effectively minister and endure the end time attacks of our adversary today. We must daily meditate on the word of God.  Not for the sake of vain glory, arrogance nor self-promotion; but for growth, wisdom and endurance.

Meditation is a vital…usually overlooked weapon, that will equip us with the end time strategies and tactics that we MUST have in our arsenal as we continue to stand undefeated against our adversary.

“I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.”

Psalm 119:15 (ESV)
