Why The Clutter?

Why The Clutter???? (Repost)

"At the end of seventy years, the Lord will visit Tyre, and she will return to her wages and will prostitute herself with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth. Her merchandise and her wages will be holy to the Lord. It will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the Lord."

                                                                                                                                Isaiah 23:17-18

Have you ever taken the time to consider why you feel the need to keep in your possession all of the items that you are not readily using?  Most of us have a collection of some things that we aren’t using…. From clothing that we are “some day” going to wear; to dishes, to magazines to, to jewelry… and the list is endless!  The question is, “Why are we still holding on to them?”

There could be many reasons why we feel “comfortable” in keeping all of our possessions.   Many times the spirit of fear is the underlying culprit.  He has come in and is “holding the door open” for his buddies: doubt, pride, procrastination and everyone else to enter.  In other words are you holding on to “your stuff” because you feel as though you might need it one day? (Fear of Lack! .. apply Philippians  4:19)  Or because you feel as though you’ve paid too much for it and someone else won’t properly appreciate it as you do? (Pride!..apply Philippians 2:3 )  Or simply because you haven’t taken to time to get rid of it? (Procrastination! Proverbs 6:6)

Whatever the reason – the time has come for us to get rid of whatever we are not using.  God has called us to be a channel and a sower; not a hoarder or a packrat!  We are asking God for increase.  We are asking God to return ALL that has been loss, taken or stolen.  However as we receive – no….let’s make a correction – BEFORE we receive…..we are to begin to sow at an accelerated rate!   Listen!  If you have an array of items that you aren’t using in the natural – guess what? That’s probably a revelation of what’s going on in your spirit man!  Most of us have become comfortable in permitting God to use us in a given area. Yet, we still have other gifts within us that are just not being used.  We have permitted spiritual clutter to prevent us from exceling, by allowing the clutter to block the access to many relevant opportunities.

How do I get rid of spiritual clutter?  By first repenting.  Then, by asking God to identify the clutter and to reveal the areas where I’m bound by clutter.  Lastly, by refusing to permit such clutter as the opinions of others to “lock me in” in a given area.  I must remember to maintain a sense of freedom and ask God activate those gifts and callings which are lying dormant with in me.

The only way to avoid becoming re-cluttered is to change your mindset!  Whatever reason you used to justify your clutter is no longer acceptable!  Develop strategies that will afford you the opportunity to be more of a giver in both the spiritual and natural realms … and you will be amazed at how the Lord will begin to restore to you ALL that has been stolen!

I Must Forgive (requested repost)

I Must Forgive!

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read Psalm 99 & I John 1

Until we have received an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for man, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness.

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.   The act of forgiveness is more beneficial for me than for my offender. Inevitably, when we increase in our knowledge of; and become engulfed with an awareness of God’s love - then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that the act of forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  The act of forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive God’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness – which permits me to establish a gap in my relationship with the Lord!

Now… contrary to popular belief…..what a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to DECIDE that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders!  HALLELUJAH!!!!

So, Lord may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me….. and walk in the freedom thereof!

You've Only Just Begun

You’ve Only Just Begun!

No doubt most of you have completed various tasks during your lifetime.  I would just like to remind you that life still ye holds more for you – without regards to your: age, educational achievements, or your current economic status.

I can remember that in preparation for one of my graduation ceremonies, we had to learn a song entitled, “We’ve Only Just Begun”.  Although I don’t remember the song in its entirety, I can recall the phrases: “so many roads to choose”; “watching the signs along the way” and “we start out walking but learn to run”.

Philippians 1:6 states “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (NIV).  Therefore, whatever dreams, ideas, projects and the like that God has given to you; (yes, God gave you the thought…you just didn’t conjure it up in your mind!) He will make available the proper conditions for them to be manifested.  Remember…you’ve only just begun!

So many times we have said that we are waiting on God….but that’s just an excuse whose expiration date is past!  Begin TODAY by dusting off that area of your mind that is holding the padlock to every “good work” that has been initiated.  Don’t be concerned about what you are lacking.   Our Jehovah Jireh will provide!

As the song states: We’ve Only Just Begun.

“So many roads to choose” – but as of today; pick one and abide therein.

Watching the signs along our way” – stay alert in the realm of the Spirit, He Will always give you the proper signs and direct your path.

We start out walking and learn to run” – yes… and now is that time when we need to pick up our pace and swiftly be about our Father’s business.

It doesn’t matter how many accomplishments you’ve already achieved – still – You’ve Only Just Begun!!!!

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”  Romans 13:12

Self Analyses

Self-Analyses

or Check Yo Self (for the young adult readers….lol)

If someone were to ask you to list five reasons why God should permit you to enter into Heaven; what would be your response?  How long would it take you to compose this list?  Where would you begin?  Would you immediately begin to consider all of the time and effort that you dedicate towards the building of the Kingdom of God? Or would you first consider the sacrificial financial donations of your tithes and offerings?  Or maybe you would begin your list considering your God disciplined life style. Just how would you begin such a list?  Think about it for a few minutes… how do you view yourself in this matter?

Well….. since we aren’t governed by the rules of Burger King…. You can’t “have it your way”!  It doesn’t matter how you begin your list; it should be a list which is composed of only one item!  There is only one reason that would validate your entrance into Heaven.  It doesn’t matter what you may accomplish; nor your obedience to God’s written word; nor how many souls you may have been instrumental in leading to Christ.  Nothing, nothing that we could ever say, do, or think; would ever qualify us and afford us a worthy audience into the domain of the Lord!

The Bible says it in this fashion:

Isaiah 64:6   For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction]. AMP

Ephesians 2:8,9 “You were saved by faith in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn’t something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about.” CEV

Now, God does require that we do Kingdom work.  However, our works are not done in an attempt to gain entrance into the Kingdom.

So, how SHOULD you begin….. and end your list?  With only one item listed.   There is only one reason why God will permit us to enter into Heaven.  Nothing, nothing, nothing outside of that one reason will be “good enough” and satisfy God’s requirements for entrance. That one reason; the only item on your list MUST be because you have accepted his son, Jesus, as your ultimate redeemer and justifier…… and above all… your Saviour!

Special Note: Now we must remember that God requires that we live a life which is holy and dedicated unto Him.  However, our ultimate goal after we are saved is to draw others to Christ.  So whatever ministry we are engage in; we are to be soul winners!

Invisible Scars

Invisible Scars

Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God.”                                                              II Corinthians 1:3&4

When we usually refer to scars, our minds tend to envision some type of mark on the surface of our skin which has resulted from an injury.  Scars can also occur as the result of: surgical procedures, burns, acne and from some diseases (like chickenpox).  Whatever initiated the problem, the fact still remains that there was an abnormal break in or trauma to the skin, which then healed, and now a scar has formed.

We all bear scars.  However, some of the scars that we have “earned” can’t be seen.   There are those which have resulted from injuries which have occurred to and affected our hearts and our minds.  Invisible scars.  When we have scars on our skin, we can see them and then we can understand, why we react the way that we do to certain stimuli or in certain situations.  However, when we have invisible scars; in many instances, we aren’t even aware of the fact that they exist.

Scars are constant reminders of yesterday.   Yet, if I can’t “see” the scar, (and I don’t know how to spiritually discern and analyze them) I may not understand my reactions in certain situations.

No one can bear a scar from an incident that has not yet transpired. Therefore, my scars are those connectors to my past, which reveal areas where the skin was once sensitive and pain once occurred.  Some scars are permanent.  Yet, when the skin under the scar has healed – there is no more pain in that area.  Although the scar may remain – the pain is gone.

So it must be with our invisible scars.  Many incidents may have left permanent scars on our minds and in our hearts.  However, we must allow the Holy Spirit to bring healing to our total being – body, mind and spirit.  We can no longer allow our past hurts, failures, disappoints, etc. to remain “open sores” in our lives.  We may not have any control over the healing process that occurs in and on our skin.  However, we do have the ability to advance or delay the healing process of our inner being.

Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you any areas where your invisible scars haven’t completely healed and remain to be like an “oozing wound”.

Invisible scars, once healed can and should be used as victory banners to wave to others – proclaiming the faithfulness of the Lord.  They will also be reminders to us of God’s power to bring healing to those areas which at one time only yielded total despair and devastation.  Scars may remain – but the pain MUST subside….and vanish!

“All praise to the God and Father of our Master, Jesus the Messiah! Father of all mercy! God of all healing counsel! He comes alongside us when we go through hard times, and before you know it, he brings us alongside someone else who is going through hard times so that we can be there for that person just as God was there for us. We have plenty of hard times that come from following the Messiah, but no more so than the good times of his healing comfort—we get a full measure of that, too.”  II Corinthians 1:3-5 (The Message Bible)

Tenacity To Endure

Tenacity To Endure

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

In this season it is imperative that you don’t give up!  We are all on the verge of receiving from the Lord all that He has promised.  Don’t get distracted.  Don’t become weary.  Don’t lose your focus.  Here’s another prayer that the Lord had given to me.  Be Blessed.

Grateful For Your Tenacity (©2003)

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to you to acknowledge that “tenacity” is needed to accomplish your divine purpose in my life.  So I come to you now, EARLY. At the beginning of this time of my life.  Since today is the first day of the rest of my life, I have come at the start of this new season, with the realization that I am in a new “place in life”.  For this day has never been seen prior to its awakening.  Therefore, I am in a place that I have not yet experienced.

I thank you for your diligence, your perseverance, your endurance, your stamina, your assiduity, your determination - that I now possess to be the warrior that you have decreed me to be.

So now Lord, I stand on Romans 8:36-39 and declare that in all things I am more than a conqueror.  I acknowledge that I already have the tenacity required to receive the manifestation of every blessing that you have outlined for me in your word…simply because as these verses denote – your love for me will never fail

I will therefore never permit any obstacle or phenomenon in this life to hold me captive.  I will never permit any thought pattern that is contrary to your divine direction to invade my conscience or sub-conscience intellect.

As I have become more tenacious while studying your word; You have revealed your wisdom,

As I have become more tenacious in times of disappointment; You have revealed your   unconditional love and security,

As I have become more tenacious while engaged in spiritual warfare; You have revealed your camouflage, shield, shelter, your protection - as well as the ability to uproot every diabolical plans.

As I have become more tenacious in every area of my life; You have revealed the potency, the discernment, the joy, the peace and the fulfillment that are now evident in my life.

Thank you Lord for the manifestation of TENACITY.

...They Are Only A Weight

….They Are Only A Weight

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us..” Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

Today the Lord has said that we are running this race…..and we are running well….however we are still carrying too much baggage.  God has said that we are still attempting to drag and pull everyone with us to our next place in Him.  Some, .. NO…. most of the people with whom you communicate on a daily basis are not ready to go with you to your next place in the Lord.  They haven’t made the proper preparations in the realm of the spirit… therefore; in all actuality, they are only a weight!

Everyone will not, has not and cannot receive, nor apply the mantle that the Lord has given unto you. They are just not ready to go where you are going.  The pace will be too rapid; the journey too long; the mission too intense and the level of strategic maneuvers too in-depth.  Therefore, even without your knowledge, they have become the hindrance – the weight; the cement boots; which are preventing you from running with the speed and endurance that you know you possess.

So take an inventory of your plans and desires.  Compare them against the blueprint that the Lord has ordained for your life.  Whatever…and whomever are no longer needed - dispose of it (or them).  This includes EVERYTHING!  Most of us are too comfortable.  We have become accustomed to “dragging” along so much excess baggage that we’ve forgotten what it feels like to be totally free in God!

Now… excess baggage can include anything from physical articles such as people, a position, relationships, or a job; to mental issues such as memories and mindsets; to hindering spirits that may have attached themselves to us from some of our past experiences.

Finally, the Lord has also said: “In this new dimension, we must stay free, move quickly, move cautiously, and  move quietly.  Don’t disclose the information that I give to you to everyone.  Only reveal what I tell you to reveal – to whom I direct you.  View everything, everything through the eyes of your spirit.  Listen through the ears of your spirit.  Sensitize and synchronize your spirit to the emotions of my Spirit – not your mind.  Rest in me to the point that nothing “catches” you in a state of being “unaware”.  Fear no man nor his position.  Go where I send you…..and when you arrive…  you will find that they are already waiting for you and expecting your arrival!”

1 Corinthians 9:24
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

…..God has Spoken – Let the Church Say AMEN!

God is not a man that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?                                       Numbers 23:19 (AMP)

Today the Lord is simply saying that when we say “Amen”, we are voluntarily confirming that we will stand firmly on what we believe has already been proclaimed by Him.  Therefore, whenever I say “AMEN”, I am affirming that I will stand as follows.

Anchored on what I know, and I will never deviate from my principles – although methodologies, and strategies may need to be amended from time to time – my principles must remain ANCHORED.

Motivated by the assurance of Whose  I am – and daily affirming the same. Saying –I am the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19); I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into God’s kingdom of Light. (Colossians 1:13); I am redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death. (1 Peter 1:18-19, Galatians 3:13), etc.

Equipped mentally, to use every available weapon that is at my disposal. (II Corinthians 10:4&5)

Never succumbing, submitting, or yielding to the spirits of defeat; discouragement and the like – which are ever present. (II Corinthians 4:8)

So, Yes! Because God has already spoken --- now, let us; who are the Church; collectively say; ….while individually affirming :

I am Anchored by WHAT I Know,

I am Motivated by the assurance of WHOSE I am,

I am Equipped mentally,

I will NEVER yield to enemy’s temptations because I will remain under the protection of the Holy Spirit!

……. “God has spoken…… Let The Church Say…. AMEN!”

“I Go To The ROCK!”

Lord, YOU are my strength!

“JEHOVAH UZZI”

(The Lord my strength - Psalms 28:7)

“JEHOVAH TSURI”

(O Lord my strength - Psalm 19:14)

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. “  Psalm 73:26                                                  New Living Translation (©2007)

Read Psalm 28 & Psalm 73

As we have daily encountered some of the adverse circumstances of life; we’ve realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but strength of the Lord.

The word in the above texts for strength translates as “rock”. Therefore, Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time as Psalm 73:6 references; when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you will always be still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge that you are my power source.  May I never attempt to develop my own ideologies, methodologies, concepts or percepts – outside of the perimeter of who you are – but acknowledge your strength in all of my ways.  Daily may I remain cognizant that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock; that pillar and that fortress forever in my life.

So Lord, when everything: every foundation, every prop, every  support system that has been erected in my life—is shaken….may I never, never, never forget that YOU are my strength…..my rock.

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.   You oh Lord are my Jehovah Tsuri…..You are my Jehovah Uzzi……You are MY ROCK!!!

I Go to the Rock – Dottie Rambo (also recorded by Whitney Huston)

Where do I go when there's nobody else to turn to? Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen? Who do I lean on when there's no foundation stable?
I go to the rock, I know He's able, I go to the rock.
The Lord is the rock I go to the rock for my salvation, I go to the stone that the builders rejected. I run to the mountain and the mountain, He stands by me.
When the Earth all around me is sinking sand, On Christ, the solid rock I stand,

When I need a shelter, when I need a friend I go to the rock.
Where do I go, where do I go, w hen the storms of life are threatening? Who do I turn to,     When those winds of sorrows blow? And is there a refuge, in the time of tribulation?

I go to the rock I know He's able I go to the rock.

Untapped Potential

Untapped Potential

……. eye has not seen and ear has not heard and has not entered into the heart of man, [all that] God has prepared (made and keeps ready) for those who love Him [who hold Him in affectionate reverence, promptly obeying Him and gratefully recognizing the benefits He has bestowed]. Yet to us God has unveiled and revealed them by and through His Spirit, for the [Holy] Spirit searches diligently, exploring and examining everything, even sounding the profound and bottomless things of God [the divine counsels and things hidden and beyond man’s scrutiny]. ”                                 I Corinthians 2:9 & 10 (Amplified Version)

Have you ever searched franticly for something only to discover that is was in the first place that you looked?   Much to your dismay and frustration - the item had been in the place where you had left it – just sitting there waiting to be discovered.  Or maybe in your search to find something, you may have even covered it up while searching for it, making it even more undiscoverable.  Then, when you finally stopped, and settled down – you found with ease all that was previously not seen.

Studies have revealed that while we use 100% of our brains;  most people don’t use  the  entire 100% to its fullest capacity .  So in the natural, so in the realm of the spirit.  God has, before the foundation of the world, placed on the inside of you everything that is needed for you to excel in this world.  As he told the prophet Jeremiah: “Before I formed you in the womb of your mother I know you, and set you apart to be a prophet to the nations.” (Jeremiah 1:5)

Are you looking for something which God has already placed on the inside of you?  God has given to us the potential and the ability to excel in every area of life.  We have at our disposal access to the governing forces of this world!  We have at our disposal the ability to voice a command and to bring into alignment everything that is out of order.  God has given to us the advantage of being an heir and a joint heir with His Son! (Romans 8:16-18)  Have you really ever grasped the essence and significance of that statement?  That means that whatever Christ did – I have the permission to do likewise. I even get to further advance and operate with a greater magnitude than He! (John 14:12)

However, many times, because we haven’t fully understood this perception – we go through life functioning and operating from a position of inferiority instead of superiority!  We aren’t aware of whom we are …. more less whose we really are.  And what’s even worst, we have no clue of the potential within us that’s lying dormant.  Your physical characteristics and achievements (nor the lack of them!) can’t alter the fact that you still have lying within you untapped potential.

It has been often stated that the cemetery is the richest place that there is. Why? Because millions of people die and take with them unspoken wisdom, undiscovered inventions, unwritten books,… and a plethora of exposed and untapped potential!  For whatever the reason, people have passed on and they have never made a significant withdrawal from their internal bank!

Whenever we become aware of something – it then becomes our responsibility to make the necessary amendments. We will be held accountable for our actions thereafter.

Remember – roots run deep.  Whenever we see a plant… it is anchored by the root system.  We can’t see the roots from the surface (normally).   Nevertheless, they are present and hidden deep within the dirt!   Therefore in comparison; whatever you can see of yourself, is only a representation of what is on the inside of you.  Without regards to what you’ve already accomplished – there is still untapped potential within you! God has made you and He is the only one who truly knows your potential.  Ask Him to reveal to you your areas of untapped potential.  Then seek Him for the wisdom to gain access to, and to activate those areas.  Time is running out – but you still have time to get the ball rolling!

Be determined that you won’t allow the enemy to use his strategic maneuver (untapped potential) any longer to in your life.  Be bold and very courageous! (Joshua 1:9)

The best is truly yet to come… and YOU play a vital role!

Our Young Men Are Always Under Attack!

(Note: With the recent happenings in Ferguson, Missouri; many have requested this to be reposted.  Also let our focus extend to all of the families who are and have been ill-treated!)

It has always been the intention of our adversary to prevent the manifestation of God’s divine plans and purposes…especially concerning the men.   The Lord had inspired me to write the prayer below quite a few years ago; however I recently found it and began using it again.

The attack on the minds of our young men is far greater now than in prior times.  However, when we pray…God will honor our petitions that we place before Him.  I would like to encourage you to take a stand and to zero in on some of the young men in your life, in your family, in your church, and in your community.  Claim the promises of God for their lives.  Remember, we never have to beg God to do something.  We only need to decree, stand in faith and WAIT for the manifestation…..because God never fails!

PRAYER FOR OUR MEN ©2007

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the opportunity to life these young men up to you.  I also thank you that these men will fulfill your decreed plans and purposes for their lives.  As an intercessor, I stand and ask that you; Elchaynu Seichot - Our God of forgiveness; will forgive their acts of omission and commission towards you.  I decree that they will begin to rise up and assume their rightful places in this earth.  I dismantle, and break from their lives the power of all negative word curses that they have received unto their spirits.  I disengage previous thoughts and behavioral patterns that have been contrary to and that have delayed the full manifestation of your blessings in their lives.  I decree that they will now begin to operate as your priest in every area of their lives without delay.

I speak healing to their entire being, in the name of YHVH ROPHE….God our healer.  Healing to the area of their minds that encases their emotions, their thoughts, their imaginations, and their reasonings.  Permit their minds to healed to the extent that they will not bow nor submit to the spirits of; humiliation, loneliness, discouragement or rejection.   YHVH BORE- God our creator; restore and create anew their spirits, creativity and dreams.

Stress and anxiety be gone in the name of Jesus.  I decree and declare that they are totally healed; physically, totally healed psychologically, and totally healed spiritually in the name of Jesus.

Through the power of YHVH PERAZIM – the God of Breakthrough; I call forth a breakthrough anointing that will uproot the spirit of anger, dismantle rage and dissolve bitterness in the name of Jesus.  I decree that the blood of Jesus will infiltrate every wounded area of their being and further cleanse any and every area not named or known to me….but known to you EL DE’OT.. the God of knowledge,

Now Lord, since they have been set free; I decree that your peace will begin to manifest itself in their lives.  I ask that they will sense and feel the newness in their spirits and begin to respond positively and offer no resistance to this total healing process.  I ask that you will send anointed men into their lives to assist them in this new place.  I decree that they will begin to develop new relationships with other like caliber men.  I decree and declare the manifestation and activation of their God appointed spiritual covering.   Father God, I ask that you will reveal to them the proper mentors whom you have already assigned and prepared for them.  Men who are already picking them up in the realm of the spirit and who will intercede for them on a regular basis.  Reveal male intercessors who know the struggles and aspirations of our young men.  Intercessors who will not come down from their appointed places of intercession for these young men – until you release them from their assignments…in the name of Jesus.

I also call forth the manifestation of every spiritual gift in them.  Those gifts that you have placed in them even before the foundation of the world; will manifest at the appointed time and not be delayed.  I speak that you will open doors of opportunity for these young men to minister to young other men.  I also decree that every door that you have not opened will be permanently sealed – never to be opened again.

Lastly, Lord God, I ask that you will honor this prayer and manifest every request according to your already decreed word recorded in: Job 22:27 & 28; I John 5:14 & 15 and in Matthew 18:19 in the name of Jesus. Amen.

The Faith Progression

The Faith Progression

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”  Luke 11:9 & 10

It appears that many Christians believe that the intensity exerted when praying; or the volume of their voices when praying; reflects their ability to receive an immediate response to their request.  They haven’t realized that God is not impressed with the words that they may use…. Or the urgency that they seem to be experiencing!  They fail to realize that every situation that they embark upon is designed to bring them into a place where their total dependence is on the Lord.  God always desires that our level of faith be increased …. And that we don’t become to worry nor lose our focus.

I often refer to Paul’s request to the Lord in reference to the “thorn in the flesh”.  The Bible specifically states that he sought the Lord three times.  Why was the number of times mentioned? Could it be that Paul wasn’t accustomed to making a request that many times?  Today, Paul would have said, “Come on Lord…I’ve already asked you 3 times…what’s up?  Why haven’t you done what I’ve asked you yet?”

Now, I know enough about God, my Father, to understand that He is omniscient (all knowing, all seeing and very well informed!).  Therefore God doesn’t have to place me in a given situation and watch my reactions or responses to know what I will do.  He has already known exactly what my responses will be prior to me even being born.

However, I must undergo a progression in my level of faith that will bring forth to me the manifestation and the revelation of God’s response to my request.  Sometimes we can simply “Ask”- something….and the answer is given.  Everyone has that level of faith.  Then there are times when we must dig a little deeper.. – the “Seeking” level.  (It’s like when you can’t find something and someone else comes in… moves a few things around and discovers what you couldn’t find! You may have looked -but they sought.)  The seeking level is when the revelation of an answer to our prayers may require that our level of faith be increased to the extent, that we can see the answer that God has already given to us.

Then there’s the “Knocking” level.  Knocking expresses repetitive motion.  It implies that there is a barrier or a blockage in front of me – something preventing me from gaining that access that I so desire.  So at this level, God is attempting to get me to advance outside of my comfort zone. The knocking level of faith implies that I’m not longer praying the same prayer; but I’m praying strategically, focused in faith.  I’ve taken the necessary measures to destroy whatever is preventing me from receiving the access to God’s response to my request. In other words…the spiritual tone of my praying has shifted.

Walking by faith in God requires that we understand the principles of Asking, Seeking and Knocking.  Strangely enough, if we take the first letter from each of those words we will form the word “ASK”.  Therefore, the faith progression could simply be that we’ve learned to:

                                                 Approach the throne of God,

Scripturally present for my request,

                                                 Keep my focus until……!!!

I Can't Fail

I Can’t Fail

“And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”                          I John 5:14 & 15

Walk today as if you have already received everything that the Lord has promised! Wisdom, wealth and riches are in your hand.  God has already placed within your hand the valuable keys which will give you access to every resource needed. However, you must use every available avenue (connections, education, talents, gifts, etc… – use them all!) to receive the manifestation of the promises.

God has already heard your request, positionally established you, and strategically aligned every detail concerning the manifestation of your request and petitions.

Reread the recorded accounts of Joseph’s life (Genesis 37-45) and compare them to your life.  He went from the pasture to the pit, to the prison and then to the palace. Also, ask God to reveal to you your three key people….Your butler (the person who will open the doors for you); your Pharaoh (the person who will give you access to unlimited resources); and your baker (the person who will assist you in pulling everything together).

Just like Joseph, I can’t fail!  Why can I not fail? Simply because there is no failure in God.  As long as I maintain my focus – even when the circumstances produce unfavorable and unexpected results – I still haven’t failed.  I am determined that even in the times and experiences that others may view as failures; I will learn how to perfect or correct.  Therefore, I have still gained something during the entire experience!  I am emerging wiser, more conscientious or more patient.  Whether in my pasture, my pit, or my prison…. I KNOW that I’m being prepared to reign in my palace!  In other words, I have still been increase through every situation….that’s why I can’t fail!

Trust God! He can’t fail you – REGARDLESS!! Whatever you would do …. if you were assured that you would succeed …DO IT!  He IS able to do exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever ask or think.

The ball is in your court… the bat is in your hand.  You have thought that you were waiting for God …..But in all actuality - He is waiting for You!

“…….The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse. Separate faith and works and you get the same thing: a corpse.” James 2:26 (The Message Bible)

Who or What is Your Strong Tower?

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”

                                                                                                                            Proverbs 18:10

Although we might not realize it, we all have a strong tower.  Our strong tower can be identified by the stronghold(s) that are apparent in our lives.  Our ability to endure in the times of adversity, calamity and devastation is dependent upon the strength of whatever is supporting us – and the guidelines that are already established in our minds.

Proverbs 18:10 tells us that the NAME of the Lord is a strong tower.  So this is establishing that it doesn’t matter whatever oppositions may come my way – if I can attach a name to that “problem” – the NAME of the Lord will override that adverse situation.  Every tower in our lives can become subjected to the strongest tower – who is the Lord.  For example anything that has a name – cancer is only a name; lack - only a name; poverty – only a name; it doesn’t matter what it is.  If you can call it by ITS name; then there is another NAME that will overpower, override and completely eradicate it.  Hallelujah!!!

However, usually our problem is that we have “ungodly strongholds” established in our minds.  Therefore, we have conditioned ourselves to run into the lesser towers instead of the ultimate Strong Tower. Nahum 1:7 reminds us that the Lord is a good and strong hold in the day of trouble.   So since He is a “strong hold” – we should establish Him as our “stronghold”.

Now in reverse, Proverbs 12:12 states that the wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers (NIV).  Note: there is a difference between the wicked and the unsaved.

So, begin to recondition mind – prior to the onset of trouble.  Start by daily confessing – out loud - my mind is renewed! Confess that, “Lord, you are my strong tower and my stronghold”.  Then in the natural – you must call upon the Lord FIRST when problems arise.  Instead of running to your phone, instead of texting someone, instead of running to: FB, Twitter or Instagram, – Go to the Lord first!

It’s only when we learn to acknowledge Him first in ALL of our ways that we can make the statement that He is the Lord of our lives…that He is our strong tower.  Then we will yield to His guidance and He will be able to direct our path and give us the peace that surpasses all understanding….. allowing us to be more than conquerors – REGARDLESS!

“Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your Saviour, your guide? If He is, you don't need to search any further for security.”                                                   Elisabeth Elliot

Your're An Eagle - So Soar!

You’re An Eagle – So Soar!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle……………. Isaiah 40:31

There was a time when many of life’s lessons were taught to children through various Bible stories or through secular tales and fables.  One of my most remembered stories is the one entitled, “The Ugly Duckling”.  To summarize the entire story; there was one duckling there was drastically unlike the other ducks.  It just didn’t belong.  However one day, it was discovered that this ugly duckling wasn’t really a duck – but a swan…. A beautiful swam!

Sometimes in our lives we are not progressing simply because we are attempting to force ourselves into conforming to a standard that is totally contrary to our natural composure.  As a child of the most high God, you are called to be an eagle.  You are called to extend your wings, to lift your head, and to soar high above any and every obstruction.  Many of us are still possessing the mentally and character traits of a common pigeon.  We gather on the ground in clusters, and flutter from one crumb to the next.

An eagle is the only bird that loves a storm.  Other birds will flee from storms; however the eagle will fly into a storm.  They will allow the winds from the storm to quickly lift them higher. When in a storm, an eagle will lock its wings in place, just soar and enjoy the ride. You are an eagle!  So when you’re in a storm – focus on the Word of God and nothing else.  Open your mouth and speak to that storm!  Rebuke the spirit of fear.  Receive the spirit of peace.  Then you will have the ability to ride out the storm in victory!

Eagles have keen vision, are fearless, tenacious, nurturing, full of vitality, and love to fly in high altitudes.  So in spite of how you may view yourself or how others view you – remember… you are an eagle.  An eagle also has an extremely wide wingspan.  Therefore, because the eagle’s wingspan is so wide – they can’t be cramped into a small area.

I would like to encourage you to extend your wings and soar!  The place where you are now attempting to fly might not possess the space that is required for you to open your wings to their fullest extent……And you certainly have no space to soar.

Nothing else matters today other than the fact that you KNOW that you are an eagle.  Therefore as an eagle refuse to be bound any longer.  As an eagle, face every storm head on.  As an eagle, stand fearless in your place of dominion and exercise your authority. As an eagle, know how to revitalize yourself so that your strength will be renewed.

Lastly, when necessary, eagles will only congregate with other eagles (Iron sharpen iron – Proverbs 27:17).   You DO possess within you the DNA of an eagle!  Stop attempting to diminish your dreams, and visions to conform to the standards of the “pigeons”. Be determined that from today forward you will only view yourself as an eagle.   Then be unwavering in your conclusion…… and soar yourself through a lifetime of victories!  Soar Eagles Soar….Spread your wings……and Soar!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Virtures of Victory

Virtues of Victory

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

                                                                                                            I John 5:4

What is victory?  How is it determined?

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a vision; a mental image of my future state.

“Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit increase by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening.

Therefore to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly and powerfully intensify every

                   area of my life.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make

progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;  Jude 20

                  (AMP)

C -    Concentrate – Concentration equals an ability to focus.  Victory is never accomplished by

one who has loss their ability to maintain their focus.

“And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on

the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2

T -    Trust – to gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels – from the inside out.

                  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5; Psalm 146:3 (ESV)

O -   Opposition – Except the fact that there will always be oppositions; some will edify, some

will challenge and all which emanate from the kingdom of darkness are sent to destroy.  However.. every opposition will produce victory… if permitted!

“....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the

                  world.” John 16:33

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.

To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.

                   Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

Y -   Yoked - To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive burden; and only become

yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s plan and purposes for my

           life.

“….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

We can also observe that the letter “Y” is the last letter in the word victory.  The shape of this letter reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance forward.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

Paul explained it like this: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”?  The answer: The ability to expand my Vision; to aggressively Intensify every area of my life; to maintain my Consecration; to continually build and fortify my Trust channels; to expect Opposition,  to obey the Rules and to be Yoked to Kingdom Principles.

The Hit List

The Hit List

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one”.    Ephesians 6:16

As I was glancing through an Ebony Magazine, there was a page entitled “Hit List”.  To summarize, this page included items that were considered “must haves” for the season.

Well, as usual – I began to relate that concept to the realm of the spirit.  I wondered, “What would be considered the “must haves” to be on the “Hit List” of our adversary”?  So below I’ve listed the top five requirements that I feel are compulsory.

  1. The acceptance of Christ as your Saviour.

One of the reasons that the enemy is able to gain an upper hand is that we fail to realize when the warfare begins.  As soon as we make an outward declaration to take a stand for Christ - immediately we are thrust into an intense battle ground.  We have made the decision to leave the family of darkness and become a member of the body of Christ.  This alone initially qualifies one to become an open target and earn a place on satan’s list…. On “The Hit List”.

  1. Developing and spending time in the presence of the Lord.

This is the place where we gain our genuine strength, wisdom and discernment.  We can receive encouragement from others.  However there is nothing, nothing that can replace what one can receive from developing a relationship with the Lord.  The enemy is fully aware of this.  That’s the reason that he makes it so difficult for one to spend time alone in the presence of the Lord.  The determination to build such a relationship definitely makes one as a prime candidate for “The Hit List”.

  1. Living a lifestyle that is in obedience to the word of Lord.

This transcends the mere presence that is exhibited in church or in the company of those who know us as being “saved”.  What happens when others can’t see us?  Are we living one type of lifestyle during the week and another on the weekends?  And what about our integrity??? When we’ve committed ourselves to allowing our lives to be an open book for all to see (by fasting, praying, paying tithes, reading our Word, maintaining that temper, not gossiping, etc.); and that open book reflects holiness…. We’re on “The Hit List”.

  1. Actively being a Soul winner.

This statement really needs no clarification.  If you are seeking and seizing every opportunity to be a witness for the Lord, and showing the unsaved their road to freedom; you already know – you are on “The Hit List”.

  1. Be a channel for the Holy Spirit and putty in His Hands.

Lord, what will you have me to do?  This is the question we’ve asked in all sincerity. However, when we wholehearted avail ourselves to such; advance from the plateau of focusing on ourselves; and permit God to totally use us –then the enemy really “throws a fit”.   Our commitment (not our promise!) to use ALL of who we are for the Lord – definitely earns you a number one position on “The Hit List”.

There are many other items that could be added.   I would like to encourage you to tailor the list as necessary and discover why you are on the enemy’s “The Hit List”.   (If you’re not….get to steppin!!!)

From Fetters To Freedom

From Fetters to Freedom

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron,

                                                                                                                                                                  Psalm 149;6-8

There was a hymn entitled, “Jesus Breaks Every Fetter”.  Even though that song is rarely heard its implication hasn’t loss it validity.  When we bring to mind thoughts concerning the word “fetter”, we can correlate them to various obstacles that the enemy attaches to us to delay our progress in the Lord.   Whether they be: areas of sin or weaknesses in the flesh; the phenomena of life; or circumstances totally beyond our control; - a fetter is anything that is tied to me which restricts my mobility and/or my advancement.

There are those things; some of which WE have permitted.  Others could have been inherited.  Nevertheless, these obstacles still continue: to shackle, bond, chain and yoke themselves to us.  Therefore our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit is none productive.  Many times we are attempting to assist others in a deepen walk with the Lord, yet we have not been freed ourselves of our many “fetters”……  However Jesus still breaks EVERY fetter.

What are some of the evidences that our fetters have been broken?

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, my concern is to increase my relationship with the Lord - just because of who he is - not because of what he can do.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I will realize that as I increase in my love walk and in every other walk in my life - so will those with whom I am connected.  (The proof IS in the pudding!  Leaders.. We cannot longer expect others to walk in a level of excellency that we are not committed to!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, my appetites are disciplined and my motives pure.

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, the manifestation of the enemy’s work won’t frighten me, his maneuvers don’t surprise me and his schemes can’t outwit me.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I won’t just sing, “It is Well With My Soul”, but my life will exemplify and verify so.  (By your fruit shall you be known!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, the peace of God WILL rule my mind,  I WILL walk above EVERY circumstance in this life, and I WILL remain focused on and committed to the plans and purposes  that the Lord has assigned to me.

Therefore to obtain the freedom which will permit the peace of God to continually infiltrate our lives; surpassing all understanding;…. every fetter and its suppressing power must be broken.

So ….its once again dependent upon the status of my mind! Once my mind has been liberated from its fetters – I will have the ability to be…and to maintain total freedom in every area of your life!

"He whom the Son sets free is free indeed!" John 8:36

The Search Is On…Do You Qualify?

“……The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: ……. Luke 10:2

The Lord is still seeking those who are qualified to be an example in leadership.  Now…. you’ve been “saved” for quite a few years; you know quite a few scriptures; and can effectively convenience someone of their need to deepen their relationship with the Lord.  However, do you qualify as a potential for the current search?

Check your credentials ……. You be the judge!

  1. Does my love for the Lord reflect in my: emotions, reasonings, and my actions?
  2. Do I spend quality time in the presence of the Lord – daily?
  3. Am I a bold advocate for the cause of Christ?
  4. Am I familiar enough with my “sword” as to know the “flavor” of its content?
  5. What is the opinion of the people in my community concerning my: integrity, friendliness, and my active involvement within the community?
  6. What about my employer and my fellow coworkers? What is their opinion of my Spiritual convictions?  Do they even know of my profession concerning my Lord?
  7. What does my check book reveal concerning my stewardship in the area of finances?
  8. What type of financial supporter am I to those who ministry to me on a regular basis?
  9. Are my choices and the style of my clothing in accord with what is “satisfactory” and pleasing to the Lord?
  10. Above all, is my overall lifestyle a display of that which would consider me to be classified as a current day disciple?

So if the Lord were to use the above brief list as a “white glove” to survey our lives…. would that glove still remain white after the survey?  Remember….God doesn’t require perfection – but He does require obedience, commitment and perseverance.

Yes…. The search is on….. Do you qualify?  (if not…get to stepping!!!)

Giants DO Fall…..But That’s Only Phase One!

“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”  Ephesians 6:12 ESV

Sometimes we get so excited when we have made an accomplishment or gained a victory in the realm that we forget to return to “tie up” the remaining loose ends.

REMEMBER: Nothing in life is unconquerable. Romans 8:37 reminds us of this.  God’s love for us assures us of the fact that we are more than conquerors.  Now..To be more than a conqueror means that I have the assurance, that there isn’t any circumstance which will arise, where I don’t have the power to be victorious!  To be more than a conqueror means that I have learned that every challenge is a challenge because I view it from that perspective.

Therefore, my mind must be renewed to the extent that I have learned to rest in the loving arms of God – REGARLESS!  Without any reservation, I must always remember and know that I can’t be defeated… simply because every battle has already been won. Therefore, every giant WILL fall.

Now… usually the difficulty arises after we’ve stood in faith and caused our “giants” to fall.  After we’ve received major victories and breakthroughs; after we’ve been the recipient of accolades – now is when we must remember….that was only phase one.   In other words; after that giant of sickness has been slain and you’ve been healed; how do you maintain your healing?  After the giant of debt has been slain – how do you maintain your debt free status?  So whatever your giant – after it has been slain – you must realize that the journey has just begun.

How do we maintain our “giant free” status?  When we refer to the story of David and Goliath we can observe that David didn’t stop by just killing the giant.  He cut of his head as a sign.  So - How do I “cut off the head” of my giant?  In other words, how can I make a “statement”… a sign of the victory that my giant is defeated and won’t return?   What must I now do to retain all that I’ve accomplished?

Here are some suggestions:

  1. By establishing…. even prior to its defeat, a strategy that will prevent that giant from the ability of re-gaining access in the future.
  2. Making vital amendments to my thinking by: altering the material that I’m reading, watching and listening to…. And most of all the people who are in my immediate circle.
  3. Stay alert in the realm of the Spirit (sharpen your discernment).  Speak faith-filled words (no self-sabotage).  Stand on the Word of God – without respect to what you SEE in the natural (Find a scripture to substantiate or validate your deliverance and quote it throughout the day).

Remember EVERY giant will fall…but when it falls… their big brother is waiting for an opportunity of revenge and looking for every open door or unsecured window!

“Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.” Matthew 12:45
