The Day of Positioning

The Day of Positioning

Lord, you are supreme in power & position.

Elhoy Marom”

(The God of heights – Micah 6:6)

Read Jeremiah 6:6-16

As this text is researched, we can observe that the word “height” here signifies supremacy of power and position.

So Lord, may I now aline and place everything under the authority of who you are.  May I never exalt the power of my thoughts or actions above what your word demonstrates and declares.

I will no longer surrender to; and I forbid, any other power to rule or to reign in my life.  My acceptance of your sovereignty and my knowledge of your omnipotence validate who you are.  I ask that those character qualities fully infiltrate my every thought.  May I renew my mind to the extent that I have reworded my vocabulary, to release from my mouth, only the words that will reflect what your Word declares.

There is no other; nor has there ever been; nor ever will be; any force; - visible or invisible, that is able to be in comparison with who you are.  Your attributes reveal that you are matchless. Therefore you are the monarch, the exalted one.  We could climb up to the highest mountain; even search the lowest valley….  And the supremacy of your power and authority would yet reveal that… There’s NOBODY GREATER THAN YOU!

So, today, may I begin to continuously position my spirit to operate in submission only to your sovereign reign, your absolute authority and your ultimate guidance… For YOU ALONE ARE GREAT!

It's Never Too Late!

It’s Never Too Late!

Life can be compared to a strategic game that requires its players at certain points, to make moves that cannot be changed.  One decisive rule that we must remember in this game is this: although we may not maintain the ability to alter the moves; we can always change the results.

This concept is mirrored in many instances throughout the Bible.  As we read and glean wisdom, strength and encouragement; we can see that no matter what the circumstances or the situations that the people of God were confronted with – God always showed them that they still had – one more move.

So as you continue to participate in the game of life, always remember that; “It ain’t over til God says it’s over”.  No matter what you’ve done in your past if you: trust in God, make an about face, and begin to do things His way, instead of leaning to your own understanding – He can rectify, repair, resolve, amend and correct anything. (Proverbs 3:5 & II Chronicles 7:14)

Another very important fact to remember in this game called life is this: “We have the power to limit the manifestation of God’s desire to change things for our good”.  In other words, because God has given to us the place of dominion and authority on this earth, He will not override that decision.  That’s why He has told US that: death and life are in the power of the tongue (Proverbs 18:21); He has told US to speak forth those things which be not.., (Romans 4:17); He has told US - I set before you this day life and death ….  (Deuteronomy 30:19); He has told US - No good thing will I withhold… (Psalm 84:11); e has told USH He has told US to – put on the whole armor …. (Ephesians 6:11-13) etc., etc.  – So, He is saying SPEAK it, and I’ve got your back!  He is saying, “You may have decided to make a wrong move – but I’ve allotted you the opportunity to cause that wrong move to work in your favor.” (Romans 8:28)

So remember that this game of life has many players but very few winners.  Why?  Because most people don’t realize …..that, our battle has already been  already won… and most importantly ‘It’s Never Too Late”!

Don’t Worry.... You have the Keys

“And I tell you, you are [a]Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a [b]huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the [c]infernal region) shall [d]not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth [e]must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth [f]must be what is already loosed in heaven.                        Matthew 16:18 & 19 (AMP)

In our lives today, we are constantly encountering various situations that are not under the jurisdiction of our immediate control.  I’m certain that most of us could establish a never ending

list of such.   We must remember that these situations are those which have been permitted and allowed to confront us.  Every obstacle or adverse situation that we encounter in life can be viewed from at least two perspectives. We can view these situations as being presented by the enemy in hopes of opening the door to fear, doubt and unbelief.  Yet, these same situations can be perceived as those which have been permitted by the Lord to serve as opportunities where He will gain the ability to reveal His divine guidance, direction and protection.

When we encounter adverse conditions, we must remember that God has given to us keys in the form of His word.  These keys will give us an immediate access to His divine intervention.    You have been given the keys to never again walk under the umbrella of ungodly fear.  This type of fear is often manifested through a spirit of pride.  Why? Because “I” feel as though “I” can’t handle or “I” can’t control what is occurring.  When I excuse God from the picture, I have diminished or decreased the intervention of His divine authority & power.  I have unconsciously decided that my problem is of a greater magnitude than my God!  I have also decided that God’s love isn’t powerful enough to bring me through my current dilemma.

Therefore, it doesn’t matter what I encounter I must make a conscious decision that I won’t worry…simply because I have the keys!

When I observe my spiritual key ring there is a master key labeled “FOCUS”.  I must learn to F.O.C.U.S.

F= “First things first” (Matthew 6:33)

O= Only Believe (mark 9:23)

C= Count & Cast (James 1:2 & I Peter 5:6&7)

U= Unbelief (Mark 9:24)

S= Stand (Ephesians 6:10)

So, how do I focus in the midst of adversity?

1.     By hiding the Word of God in my heart.

2.     Daily quoting and saying out loud the Word of God.

3.     By refusing to quit!

Whatever adverse situation is presently prevalent and existing in your life today is only an attempt by the enemy to distract you; to divert your attention; and to challenge your knowledge of the Lord.  However remember….you never have to bow to the lesser authority of worry…. Because you have the master key called focus.

Brokenness = Maturity

Brokenness = Maturity

My sacrifice, O God, is a broken spirit; ……. Psalm 51:17

Simply put….God desires to take you to an added dimension in Him; however you are still lacking the maturity that occurs as the result of a totally broken spirit before the Lord.

When we refer to various Biblical patriarchs we can observe that they all had to experience a season of brokenness prior to being used mightily for the Lord.  One of the keys to brokenness is to place the flesh under subjection through fasting.

In our modern culture here in America, we have expanded the concept of fasting to incorporate the meaning of “the abstinence of”……whatever. We are, in many instances not referring to food; but abstaining from various activities, mindsets and behavioral patterns.

When we refer to the Hebrew word used in the Bible for fasting, TSOM (pronounced ts-oom), it means to cover the mouth.  Then the Greek word, nesteia (pronounced nace-ty-oo), means to abstain from food.  So we could conclude that both the Old and New Testaments place the emphasis on “food”.

Could the reason why true brokenness hasn’t occurred be that we’ve attempted to alter its original definition?  Could it be that we have replaced instead of enhancing?  Without regards to any additional concepts – fasting must; according to the Biblical definitions; at some point include an abstaining from food.

God needs us to be totally free IN Him – to be totally used freely OF Him.  He needs and is requiring of us a deeper relationship with Him.  He is requiring a level of maturity which is representative of one who is broken from any and everything that doesn’t resemble Him.

Consider these types of fast as you deepen your relationship with the Lord.

Elijah Fast – I Kings 19

Widow’s Fast – I Kings 17:8-16

Paul’s Fast – Acts 9:9

Daniel’s Fast – Daniel 1:8-14; 10:3

John’s Fast – John 1:6 &7

Esther’s Fast – Esther 4

God needs to use YOU to do great exploits….. but you still need to obtain a level of maturity that only true brokenness has birthed!

Your Cry.....Your Praise

Your Cry…Your Praise

“Give thanks to the Lord, call upon his name, make known his deeds among the peoples, proclaim that his name is exalted. Sing praises to the Lord, for he has done gloriously; let this be made known in all the earth.” Isaiah 12:4-5, ESV

Far too often, we will cry out to the Lord when we are confronted with adverse situations – but when He answers us favorably; we fail to show our gratitude to Him with the same enthusiasm!

Don’t let your cry in your valley out ring your praise on the mountain!

So when the Lord “turns the tables” for you; when He finally grants unto you the petitions that you’ve stood in faith believing Him for, for many years……

Don’t forget – To sincerely thank Him

Don’t forget – To tell others

Don’t forget – That God is immutable (He doesn’t change.)

Don’t forget to render an offering that is comparative to your gratefulness ……

Don’t forget…GOD IS FAITHFUL!

So again remember: Don’t let your cry in your valley out ring your praise on the mountain!

Embracing God's Truth

Embracing God’s Truth

Today, Lord I embrace your truth.

JEHOVAH El EMETH”

(Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5)

“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”                                                                                                                                    Psalm 25:5

Read Psalm 31

Within today’s arena, there has been such a distortion of what is really “truth”, that without the indwelling guidance and direction of Holy Spirit we will be lead down the path of error.

Many foundational concepts that were once upheld as the truth have now been replaced with the cunning influences of the enemy.    Not only has our government and its judicial system strayed from the truth, what is even more disheartening is that the body of Christ is beginning to lose its creditability concerning what is truth.

We must now as never before plunge into the truth of God which He has revealed to us in His Word.   We must embrace it with a “bulldog” type of tenacity.   As we embrace what is truth, it then becomes our responsibility to enlighten those with whom we come in contact with.  It is our mandate to read the truth, understand the truth, and above all apply the truth to every area of our lives.

As the fast approaching end of time as we now know it draws nigh, the kingdom of darkness will cunningly attempt to discredit the truth even the more.  However, God is truth and we must continue to proclaim His truth; avail ourselves of His truth and uphold His authentic Kingdom principles which He has given to us.

If we adhere to the truth and allow it to infiltrate our minds, then we will have to ability to discern error immediately.  SAINTS don’t be blindsided – this is an urgent plea.  We cannot afford to be passively ignorant concerning what is truth.  Time is of a grave essence.  We MUST, by any and every means necessary “raise the bar” and live daily a life founded on “JEHOVAH El EMETH”.

Lord, enable me to have a keener endtime discernment; that will birth within me the ability to rapidly and accurately distinguish what you have established as “truth”…… live therein and enlighten others…… while encouraging them to do the same as well.

Stay in the Race!

Stay in the Race!

“Yet I have left me seven thousand in Israel, all the knees which have not bowed unto Baal, and every mouth which hath not kissed him.” I Kings 19:18

While in prayer this morning the Lord simply said, “Encourage my people”.

So no matter who you are; just know that it’s not by mistake, happenstance, nor by coincidence that you’ve decided to read this message today.  This message is for you!   God knows each of His children and He gathers; or groups us together as He sees fit. God also likes diversity as depicted by the numerous nationalities represented globally.  However, today He sees us as one.  One group…His people.  People who haven’t swayed in their commitment to Him.  A people who haven’t been hoodwinked or distracted by the nonsense of the adversary….you are a vital part of this group….. And for this YOU are to be commended.

In our text we can read and observe the fact that the prophet of God was on the verge of becoming discouraged and giving up…but the Lord had to reveal to him that there were still others in the race.  So God is still saying today …”Stay in the race!”  You’ve accomplished much – yet, there is more work to be completed.  Your road may have been long and seemingly endless  - but just know that the Lord is well please with your achievements.  You may have incurred some bumps and bruises along the way – but you didn’t give up.  Just for that alone…the Lord is saying…. “Well done!”

Whatever you must do; (That’s in accord with the Word of God) that will permit your mind to stay focused – do it.  Always remain cognizant of the fact that our God knows our every motive.  Every single minute occurrence in your life was already prearranged by Him and has emanated from a heart of pure love for you…. for your advancement.

Remember David.  Through all of his victories and defeats; he had learned the art of edifying himself (I Samuel 30:6); and not permitting the enemy’s tactics to diminish his love for the Lord.  Therefore, the Lord said that he (David) was a man after His (God’s) heart.

So be encouraged – now is not the time to give up or give in to the constant parade of attacks from the enemy’s camp.  Stay in the race! Whatever the pace….stay in the race.   You aren’t walking alone – the Lord has billions globally who are still standing for Him – REGARDLESS!

Don't Miss The Sound!

Don’t Miss The Sound!

“And when you shall HEAR the sound of marching in the top of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.”  I Chronicles 14:15

The Lord, our Baal Perazim (the God of Breakthrough) is confirming His position in our current battle.  Just as He was with David, He is reminding us that His wisdom still supersedes that of the adversary.

When reading this story in I Chronicles (or II Samuel) we discovered that Baal Perazim required  David’s response  to be quick and at precisely the right time.  Let’s consider David’s responsibility.

1.     David had to know the voice of the Lord.

2.     David had to remain alert and attentive in the realm of the spirit.

3.     David had to already have his weapons and be positioned offensively.

When we attempt to correlate this story to our daily lives, we must remember that:

1.     David sought the Lord for direction prior to the onset of the battle.

2.     The Lord went before David and “Broke Through” the front line of the enemy’s defense.

3.     Whatever the Lord has done before, He still has the power to do again.

I found it interesting that David was told to LISTEN for a certain sound. If we are going to know exactly when to advance, conquer and reclaim our territory; then we must critique or fine tune our ability to recognize a specific sound. Far too often we are listening to and follow the wrong sound!  David’s specific sound was the sound of marching.  Are you aware of the sound that God is using in your life as a form of confirmation?

Next, the sound was in a designated place - the tree tops.  Not on the ground, nor in the air, but in the top of the mulberry trees.  This fact reminds us that the specific sound will resonate from a specific destination.

So because Baal Perazim had already preceded David, he (David) was able to be victorious.

Our God is still operating as Baal Perazim today.  He has broken through the front line of defense in our enemy’s territory and is permitting us to recover all!  But we must LISTEN for our specific marching orders.

Don’t permit a delay in your recovery because you didn’t hear or recognize voice of God concerning His specific instruction; advising you how and when to advance - and recover all!

Just as David did…. Seek the face of God, Listen for the Sound, and March your way to victory.

The Tithe & The Tip

The Tithe & The Tip

“What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me [How can I repay Him for all His bountiful dealings?]?”  Psalm 116:12 AMP

There was an article in “Money” magazine that offered suggestions in reference to tipping those who render specific services to and for us.  The listing included people from various walks of life.  As I read through the list, I had observed that every person, whose vocation was mentioned, was receiving at the very LEAST ten percent!

It appears that we have no problem expressing our gratitude to people when they supply us with a few “comforts of life”.  As a matter of fact; we will even often be very generous to them when we feel as though their services rendered to us were outstanding.

Therefore, if we are willing to demonstrate to mere people our appreciativeness; why is it that so many devoted; scripture quoting; Bible toting; Saints of the Most High God; have a problem giving back to God what rightfully belongs to Him?

Far too many have become “bamboozled” or “hoodwinked” when considering their giving unto the Lord.  In all actuality, we, as endtime Saints are no longer bound by the law.  We are supposed to use the principles which were established under the law (in the Pentateuch) to build our foundational truths.  However we have been redeemed from the curse of the law.  The New Testament expresses “free will giving”.  Yet, since the ten percent was already established in the O.T…. we are to now use that as a MINIMUM for our giving – not a maximum.  Therefore…. you haven’t really accomplished some great feat when you deposit your little ten percent into the tithe box!

Just think about it.  The waitress at a local “greasy spoon” is receiving at the very least fifteen percent!  Therefore, how can we be content to offer to GOD ten percent of our increase and feel as though we’ve accomplished some great feat?  Have we forgotten that He is our FATHER; the creator of the entire UNIVERSE; supreme in EVERY aspect; and the one who has enabled us to obtain our money????

It never ceases to amaze me how people will claim that they can’t afford to tithe!  Yet these same people will; participate in various saving programs at work, plan for a vacation, make various purchases in advance– yet never consider putting aside a special offering for the Lord!

Why are some people so apprehensive concerning their giving to the Lord?  One of the reasons is that they have not been liberated from the spirit of poverty.  That spirit and its big brother: the spirit of fear, are a “dynamic duo”.  Their power must be identified and broken if one is to live as a New Testament; free will giver.

So, what shall I render unto the Lord?  I will render myself as a living testimony of His miraculous redemptive, saving, and sustaining power. However, I will also never esteem myself or others higher than I do the Lord when it comes to giving; especially the giving of money.  I will never give unto the Lord any less than what I am giving to those who are serving me in the natural.

Therefore, when I say that I’ve surrendered all to the Lord…. and that He is first in my life….He truly is….  And I have really surrendered ALL!!

Not On The Menu

Not On the Menu

“According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world,…..” Ephesians 1:4

Every master chef knows the importance of having a well-planned menu. The purpose of the menu is to inform everyone exactly what they can expect to receive from that particular establishment.  Therefore when one glances at the menu they can determine the type of facility, the expertise of the chief, as well as the clientele who frequent that place of business.  We also understand that we can’t order an item that is not listed on the menu – and become upset if that item is either not available or not prepared to our liking.  The master chef will only order the essential ingredients which are required to properly prepare those items which are listed on the menu.  Now an experienced chef will on occasion, use some of the ingredients which were purchased for one item and prepare something that is not listed on the menu.  However, this is not always possible.  For example; you can’t become distraught if a fast food restaurant doesn’t fulfill your request for a fresh seafood order.  Why? It isn’t on their menu.

So it is with our lives.  God who is our Master Chef has a well-planned menu for lives.  As the scripture text states; even before the foundation of the world – God had already written the menu for each and every one of our lives.  Therefore He knows which ingredients to include in our lives that will permit us to produce the highest quality of life.  He knows a forehand which circumstances, experiences, trials and the like to include on our menus of life.  He also knows: because He is God, the decisions that we will make in every given situation. However, because we already have a well-planned menu, when we make contrary choices in our lives; God has the ability to use those choices to still yet perfect His plan for our lives.  He’ll take our burnt bread; scrap off the overly browned portions; cut it onto squares and use it for crotons!  He’s the Master Chef and therefore knows exactly how to perfect everything in our lives…..if we permit Him to!

Therefore, when you feel as though you are on the verge on becoming overwhelmed and going out of your mind – just declare that a nervous breakdown can’t occur… Why?.. it’s not on your menu!

When you feel as though you “can’t” – just delare that failure is not on your menu.

When you feel as though everything is just taking too long to materialize – just remember that the best sauces must simmer for hours; and endurance IS on your menu!

When you feel as though the bottom has fallen out of your world and every stable foundation has been shaken – just relax… God may be testing you or just trying to get your attention so that He can elevate you to the next course of your menu!

Learn to rest in the Lord and in what He is doing at this stage of your life.  We must remember that God had not “mass produced” us.  Therefore, we aren’t to compare our menu items with anyone else’s.  Although they may appear to be similar on the surface – because we are all uniquely made, so are our menus.  We aren’t to be compared to the “chain” stores which all possess the same menus.  Yes, we are all God’s kids – but we are all so different!.... He planned it that way!

So it doesn’t matter how your circumstances may currently appear to you – simply remember that God is only attempting to get you to advance from the soup on your menu to the dessert. He has the entire menu of your life in mind.  You can’t simply produce the “soup” from your menu of life... forever!  It’s now time to advance to the appetizer and then endure every challenge of life.  God is only attempting to get you to the end of your menu…. Where you mind will be totally focused... and you will have the ability to enjoy the dessert course of life ….without regards to your current circumstances!

And God’s peace [shall be yours, that tranquil state of a soul assured of its salvation through Christ, and so fearing nothing from God and being content with its earthly lot of whatever sort that is, that peace] which transcends all understanding shall garrison and mount guard over your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus.”  Philippians 4:7 (Amplified)

But...Are You Sure?

But….Are You Sure?

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”                                                                             Philippians 1:6

If someone were to ask you to name five things that you are absolutely certain about, what would be the first item that you would list?  Would you have difficulty in composing such a list?  What would be the basis from which you gather your responses?  Would you rely on the “trials and errors” of your past?  Just how or where would you even begin to construct such a list?

As we consider the status of this world’s condition … things look mighty dim!  I’ve often heard many people – who were, “Saints of the most high God” say that they can’t bear to watch the news or to engage in conversation about the daily tragedies and occurrences.  They walk through life feeling defeated, discouraged and afraid.   Then, these very same people will say that they are assured of the protective and loving hand of God. They will say that they know our Father is still ultimately in control!   My only response to them is…but, are you sure?

So I ask of you…. Do you know God? Or maybe it would be better to say – How do you know God?  Are you truly assured of who He really is?  Do you have that assurance that He is really on your side?  Now be honest.  Do you have that assurance that He is really in the midst of perfecting each and every situation for your good?

Well…it’s time for another prayer .. (I have a plenty of them…as you know by now!).  This one is entitled, “Prayer of Assurance”. If you are already confident in whom and whose you are, please feel free to share it with someone who may seem to be losing their focus during these trying times.  Let them in on the secret as to why you are not impressed nor upset with the onset of these chaotic world conditions.   Share with them that your full assurance is in the Lord….and He doesn’t have the ability to fail nor to succumb to this world’s nonsense!

Prayer of Assurance

(©2003)

Lord God, I thank you for the spirit of assurance.  Your word verifies that true assurance in you is the attribute that will permit me to overcome every obstacle in these last days.

Full blessed assurance in you validates the fact that because of your sovereign love for me - nothing, nothing, No Thing - that occurs today in my life will cause a detour in your divine will for me.  My assurance, my firm conviction in you mandates that I exercise my blood bought authority this day, to walk above the circumstances of life.  I will never  again release from my mouth that I am under, beneath or a victim to my present world conditions.

Your word assures me and reveals to me who you are, your very nature.  Your word   reveals to me that the things seen are temporal, moveable, mutable, unable to withstand, subject to environmental conformation.  Therefore, I am assured that as I   absorb, soak up and permit only your word to infiltrate my spirit - then and then only will I have the ability to rise above and remain above my circumstances.

My assurance in you decrees that I will not leave this life prematurely.  My assurance in you decrees that I have the ability now to stand in the midst of adversity and command your presence to prevail.

I thank you for your assurance that I am a “King’s Kid”; an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ.  I am a royal priesthood, divinely anointed and appointed for this time - groomed and adorned by God, for God.

I am assured that I can only excel.  It is because of this assurance that I know I will never, never, never be defeated.

It’s Promotion Time…but , Are You Ready?

“For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.” Psalm 75:6 &7

Can you recall the array of feelings that you experienced when you had finally achieved a certain accomplishment and it was time to move to the next level?   As you reflect, you will remember that there were various requirements that had to be successfully completed before you were able to be advanced.  Whether it was in school or on a job, most of the time, before you could be promoted, you had to confidently show your superiors that you were ready.  It didn’t matter how ready you may have thought yourself to be – you could not promote yourself.

The same holds true in our walk with the Lord.  Psalm 75:6 & 7 tells us that promotion comes from the Lord.  So it doesn’t matter how great we may think that we are – when it is time for us to be promoted, God can and will advance us to our next place in Him.  However, we must remember that because our God is a personal God, He has tailor made each of our courses just for us.  When the time is right He can catapult you to your next place in Him.  Nevertheless we must successfully pass every test that he presents to us.

Far too often we catch a glimpse of our new direction and our next promotion.  Then in the excitement, we attempt to promote ourselves - because God is just taking too long!  But just remember patience is the virtue that is required on every level.  When you are ready, God will easily open the many doors that you are trying to force open.

In many instances, we have been misinformed and think that people can hinder our progress in the Lord.  We fail to remember that God may be really using those hindrances and “hinderers” in our lives to build in us the unshakable stamina and resilience needed for promotion!   Therefore, we must not forget that when we are ready, God can still touch the hearts of those that we feel are hindering our progress.  In time, as we mature in the realm of the spirit, we will obtain the ability to realize that God really does know what He is doing!

Lastly, promotions may cause us to experience the temporary anxiety of leaving that which is familiar as we advance to our new position.  However  we can’t permit that triplet of fear, doubt and unbelief to tag along with us.  We must continue to trust God and He will gently guide us through the progress.

Yes it is promotion time…but don’t rush the process…rest in the Lord….and continue to allow HIM to walk you through the process.

My Ultimate Comforter

My Ultimate Comforter

 “Jehovah El Ha-Melitz

…….My Lord, My God, My Comforter

(The Lord God my Comforter - Isaiah 51:12A)

"I, even I, am the one who comforts you. Isaiah 51:12A

Read Isaiah 40

Storms don’t come to last…they come and pass.

Therefore, Oh Lord, may I always retain my focus – regardless.  May I never permit tragedies, nor the abrupt and sudden onset or alteration of situations; to overtake, nor to overwhelm my mind.  May I always find the comfort and peace that I need, in my assurance and knowledge of who you are.

Father, may I always remain cognizant of  the fact that every storm you permit me to encounter has a purpose.   You have fore warned me that in this world I will have trouble, trials, and tribulations – “storms”.  However, you have also taught me to be of good cheer because You have overcome the world and all of its adverse conditions.  Therefore, since You have successfully conquered all that this world has presented to You – I can take comfort in the fact that; through the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost, I also am an overcomer.

Lord, You have permitted us with the ability to remember the wisdom and Godly principles which were taught to us by many of our loved ones who are now with You. When I reflect, I can remember hearing  the saying that the darkest hour is just before dawn.  So Lord, may I always take comfort in knowing that the sun WILL always appear again.  May I perpetually find comfort in you, Jehovah El Ha-Melitz .  May I stand in the midst of every storm and still yet declare that You are Lord. May the spirit of fear never be fueled by anything that may arise in my life – because You are my ultimate comforter.

May I remember that You have orchestrated the timing and the nature of every storm in my life.  May I trust and cling to Your immutable anchor.  May I never cease to find solace in the guidance of Your omniscient and omnipotent eye.

You ARE my Jehovah El Ha-Melitz – my COMFORTER, my LORD, my GOD!  Hallelujah!

A Lost Generation

A Lost Generation

If I ever shut off the supply of rain from the skies or order the locusts to eat the crops or send a plague on my people, and my people, my God-defined people, respond by humbling themselves, praying, seeking my presence, and turning their backs on their wicked lives, I’ll be there ready for you: I’ll listen from heaven, forgive their sins, and restore their land to health.”

II Chronicles 7:13 & 14(NIV)

Today we are faced with a tragic situation.  Sadly to say, many people with whom we communicate on a daily basis are totally ignorant to, and unaware that this state even exists.  The bottom line is this: We now, daily, have to overcome the devastating results of a generation which no longer exist.  We are confronted with economic, social and spiritual “abnormalities” which have been produced …. Or have been cloned from a distorted mold…. Or from a lost generation.  And to make matters worst; we can be compared to a flock of sheep.  We walk blindly – daily.  We have as of yet, not opened our mouths; and have been led like a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before its shearers is silent, still we have not opened our mouths (Paraphrased from Isaiah 53:7).

I could continue with the comparisons and analogies.  However, to get to the point, I’ll state that the “lost generation” referenced is that generation of God’s people who were totally “sold out” for Him.   That generation who may have still encountered its own challenges – but were militant and radically allegiant in their reverence for the Lord.

We have lost that generation of people who sacrificed themselves, their possessions and whatever it took to remain in the correct relationship the Lord.  We have lost a generation of people who may not have known; …..correction….  who DID NOT know the Greek, Hebrew or Aramaic dialect of the Bible; but who knew how to get the attention of God.  We have lost a generation of people who were WILLING to serve God – at the risk of being ridiculed or harassed. We have lost a generation of people who loved God more than they loved themselves. We have lost that generation who was willing to actually bring their flesh under subjection and seek the presence of God during all night prayer services.  (I’ve attended what many have called all night prayer services – only to discover that no one really PRAYED all night!)  We have lost that generation whom, although they may not have totally understood what God was doing in a given situation – they totally trusted Him.  They truly sought His face prior to seeking His hand.  Therefore in seeking his face; He freely opened His Hand to them.

I can remember my grandmother’s response to sooo many of my questions.  (Although I was also told that I ask too many questions!) She would simply say, “Well, girlie, that’s the Lord’s business, and when He’s ready, He’ll tend to it.”  She would also say, “If you trust in the Lord, ....Everything will be alright”.  (And I’ve learned that her responses were very accurate.)

Nevertheless, although we have lost that generation – God has given to us the remedy and the principles to re-establish our current generation.  If we who are still here, would live in obedience to II Chronicles 7:14; then God would hear us and respond by giving to us the wisdom that we need to uproot and cancel every diabolical plan.  Then we would have the ability to bring an awareness to this generation that our God is still the omnipotent, omniscient, loving God.

Only Empty Vessels

Only Empty Vessels

“Don’t live carelessly, unthinkingly. Make sure you understand what the Master wants.  Don’t drink too much wine. That cheapens your life. Drink the Spirit of God, huge draughts of him. Sing hymns instead of drinking songs! Sing songs from your heart to Christ. Sing praises over everything, any excuse for a song to God the Father in the name of our Master, Jesus Christ.”

                                                                                      Ephesians 5:17-20 (The Message Bible)

It is only when we have been emptied – that we can be filled – full.  Any given container has a limit on the amount of a substance that it can keep in check.  Therefore, when a container has reached its maximum limit……that’s it.  It can’t hold another drop.  For example; you can attempt to pour a gallon of liquid into an already filled gallon sized bottle – and it will not be able to receive it.  Why? Because the first bottle is already filled full. Therefore even though the substance in the second bottle may be of a superior quality – because the first bottle is already full; it can’t receive the better product.

God is saying that we are expecting Him to fill us with all of who He is – but He can’t; because there’s no room.  Our minds are still filled with the concepts and percepts of the world; when He has instructed us to empty them and renew them. (Romans 12:1&2)

He has told us to empty ourselves of the cares of this world (I Peter 5:7); but we are still filled with worry, doubt and unbelief.

He has instructed us to be not like the Pharisees and Scribes – hypocrites (Matthew 6:5); but we are still filled with pride, boastings and egotism.

He has warned us not to be filled with vengeance – because it belongs to Him (Romans 12:19).  Yet we are not emptied of backbiting; still holding grudges and harboring unforgiveness.

We must remember:

Ø  Only empty vessels can be filled.

Ø  Only empty vessels have the ability to totally receive all that is being poured into them.

Ø  Only empty vessels will have the capability to contain the proper amount wisdom needed to successfully up root the diabolical plans and plots of the enemy.

Ø  Only empty vessels have received the revelation that they must stay on the potter’s wheel and daily cleanse themselves with the Word of God – if they are going to remain empty.

Ø  Only empty vessels are those who were once yielded; but now broken, freed and ready to have the anointing of God to empower them with His Presence, His Integrity and His Kingdom Authority.

Spiritual Cataracts

Spiritual Cataracts

“And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” ......” 2 Kings 6:17

Read: 2 Kings 6:8-22

Far too many people in the body of Christ are lacking the ability to see and understand the happenings of this season.  In other words, they have been “blind-sided”; not possessing the capability to clearly comprehend and relate the occurrences of today to those which are recorded in the Bible.  Although they sincerely love the Lord; attend Bible Study on a regular basis; and are faithful in the paying of their tithes and offerings; they can’t seem to see clearly.  Why? They have Spiritual Cataracts.

When a person has a cataract in the natural; they have a condition in which there is a cloudiness of the lens in the eye that prevents light from passing to the retina; which can impair their vision.

Therefore, when someone has a Spiritual Cataract they have a blockage in their perception in the realm of the Spirit; which is preventing the illumination of God’s word from being comprehended to its fullest capacity.  They may “see men walking as trees” (Mark 8:24); or not even see at all (refer to the key verse).  Whatever the case they need to have those cataracts removed if they are going to be abreast of these end-time situations that have already been fully explained in our canon.

In some instances cataracts in the natural can remain intact because they aren’t really obstructing too much of the retina.  However, in terms of Spiritual Cataracts; whatever the density or consistency – they must be removed.  We can’t afford to permit anything in our lives which will block or hinder the Light of the Lord to prevail.

So if you are lacking the ability to accurately “see” the signs of the times; if you are still not actively progressing in the realm of the Spirit; if your decisions and directives are still leading you down paths which are non-productive; ….. then maybe you are in need of Spiritual Cataract Surgery.

Ask the Lord to reveal to you every area in your life where He is still not “Lord”.   In other words; those areas where the illumination of His word is not prevailing to the extent, that you are willing to bring about a total submission to His divine authority.  Ask Him for the corrective orders and directions which will permit an enlightenment of who He is to be evident and to prevail in your life.

Lastly, remember that God will perform the necessary procedures – but we must be willing to do our part by walking in obedience, persistence, and a determination to do whatever the He mandates for our lives.

Watch Your Midwives

Watch Your Midwives!

“Now also we beseech you, brethren, get to know those who labor among you….”

 I Thessalonians 5:12

Warriors who stand against the kingdom of darkness must at all times know those to whom they have given the power and the authority to assist them in their birthing processes. The role of a midwife is an extremely vital position. This person has the ability to give life or to cause death, to enhance or to diminish, to encourage and bring hope; or to cause confusion and bring total despair, to your future.

In the book of Exodus, chapter one we are given an account of the creditability of the midwives. The Bible states that the midwives feared God! In the dimension that we have now embarked, as an endtime warrior, you must exercise extreme caution in the acceptance of one who desires to serve you in the role of a midwife. (The role of a midwife is not gender sensitive.) You must only permit those who have the ability to understand the true reverential fear of God, to be entrusted with the safeguarding of your vision. Some of you have had the OPPORTUNITY to excel to various heights and positions…. but have not done so. You haven't made these accomplishments, because your midwife has slaughtered your dreams and visions. Just at the point when you were in the proper position, at just the time when the midwife was supposed to assist you into bringing your vision, dream etc. into total manifestation - because your midwife was not assigned to you by God, you gave birth,- but your midwives were used by the enemy to intervene.  Your midwife killed your new born dreams or visions.  They were used by the enemy to introduce the spirit of fear  - which caused you to walk in doubt and unbelief.

Therefore, some of you will now have to adjust and amend the positions of those to whom you thought you could trust. It is imperative that you always seek the guidance of the Holy Spirit before enlisting the eager assistance of those desiring to assist you in ministry.

Remember - a warrior is a warrior at all times. Why? Briefly, the strategic mindset of a warrior is always focused, and purpose driven.  A true warrior will never permit their mind to stray from their divine call and destiny!  A true warrior knows no defeat.  A true warrior has learned to triumph in EVERY situation.

Therefore, as warriors, we must always bear in mind that the enemy is ever attempting to gain access to us. We are most vulnerable when we are embarking upon a new venture. This is why we must be ever so selective when accepting one into our confidence….as they respond to our need for a midwife!

But Do You Know Who You Are?

The Lord has said that many of us don’t really know who He is; and therefore we can’t possibly comprehend who we are.  We know OF Him.  We know ABOUT His workings.  However, we haven’t fully grasped Him in His totality.  Therefore, we haven’t begun to realize who we are.

As you read through this list, ask the Lord for an added enlightenment; a new revelation and a different perspective from which to comprehend each statement.  Refuse to merely read through the list in 20 seconds!  The time has come and now is for us to walk fearlessly, boldly, completely knowledgeable and totally enlightened concerning who we are. As you read through the list, pause after each statement and wait for the Lord to reveal to you exactly how that statement applies to you…. individually.

I AM: God’s child for I am born again of the incorruptible seed of the Word of God. (I Peter

             1:23)

I AM:  The temple of the Holy Spirit. (I Corinthians 6:19)

I AM: Delivered from the power of darkness and translated in God’s kingdom. (Colossians

            1:13)

I AM: Qualified to share in His inheritance. (Colossians 1:12)

I AM: Overtaken with blessings (Deuteronomy 28:2)

I AM: Called by God. (2 Timothy 1:9)

I AM: God’s workmanship created in Christ Jesus for good works. (Ephesians 2:10)

I AM: The apple of my Father’s eye. (Deuteronomy 32:10)

I AM: The enemy of the devil. (I Peter 5:8)

I AM: Dead with Christ and dead to the power of sin’s rule over my life. (Romans 6:1-6)

This list could continue on for pages ….and the half still would not have been told!  Just know that you must begin to UNDERSTAND who you are!  You were; because of your acceptance of Christ as your Saviour; immediately catapulted into a new place.   You were birthed into a place of royalty, authority, and influence.  However, because most of us have not succeeded in the essence and the application of Romans 12:2; our minds have not been totally renewed.  Therefore, we are continuing to operate from the positions of defeat, inferiority, and mediocrity!

So…let’s get it together!  Waste no more time.  Aggressively seek the face of God and discover how you can be more effective in your daily walk….simply because you now KNOW who you are…..and your productive, dyanmic lifestyle will reveal the same.

Integrity Must Be Displayed

May I daily mirror and display a “lifestyle” of integrity.

Yahweh Sali”

(The Lord my rock. –Psalm 18:2)

The Lord is my Rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.                                           Psalm 18:2

Read: Psalm 18 & Psalm 34

When we disrespect those who are in authority concerning us – and influence others to do the same; we are in walking in open rebellion.    At this point, WE have opened an entrance for the enemy to come in; take off his shoes and have a cup of cappuccino!   However, more importantly, we are also displaying the fact that the Lord is still not our rock.  We are not walking in the level of integrity that will permit us to stand undefeated in these last days.

The evidence that the Lord is my rock is proven and displayed to others by the degree of integrity that daily governs my life.   If the Lord is my rock, I will not fall prey to the mindsets of this world and its dishonest principles.  “IF" the Lord is my rock, I will not stand upon the motivations, nor, find rest in the comfort zones, of anything that doesn’t come into alignment with the integrity of His Kingdom Principles.  My level of integrity must excel the mere living a lifestyle that others can observe as being that of a “Christian”.  I must be an open display in the realm of the spirit; to every diabolical force; that my dedication to the Lord is authentic.

Therefore, as of today O Lord, may my every thought, motive and action affirm the fact that you are truly my rock.  It is you that I run to daily to support and anchor me.  It is you that I depend upon as my pillar, as my prop, as my leaning post, as my only genuine stake; which possesses the ability to remain stable and non-influential in this ever - changing world.

It is only because of your revealed quality as Yahweh Sali, that I am capable of remaining unshaken in the midst of every storm. Even nature has revealed that in the eye of every hurricane or tornado is a place of total peace. I have discovered that it is the guidance of your eye, Yahweh Sali, which is capable of giving me total peace and stability when the turmoil and devastative effects of spiritual or natural tsunamis manifest themselves in my life.   No matter what occurs, because of your integrity, - I can always find comfort in the fact that you have hidden me in the “cleft of yourself” and permitted me to find safety in the “secret place” of who you are.  You have allowed me to abide under your shadow. It is in you that I can wholeheartedly trust.   May I never forget that you have been and will always be my perpetual ROCK.

“On Christ the SOLID ROCK I stand….ALL, ALL, ALL other ground is sinking sand!”

Therefore, I will perpetually keep myself under the restraints of the Holy Ghost; who will assure me the power to walk in the level of integrity; that permits the Lord to be visibly displayed in every circumstance and situation that I may daily encounter.

 Marinating…but in What?

“This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.” Joshua 1:8 (ESV)

Preparation is always a vital instrument.  Our ability to successfully outwit the adversary is to sensor the type of “marinating” that our spirit man is being exposed to.  Today, as never before, it is essential that we are ever cautious and remain on our guard concerning the types of material that we are constantly permitting to enter through our ear and eye gates.  Far too often we are permitting our spirits to be marinated with; and to become saturated with the concepts of this world – without our knowledge. However, if we maintain the proper relationship with the Lord, He will always alert us to the ploys of the enemy.

Don’t permit your spirit to become desensitized to what God has established as our foundational principles and guidelines.  With the advancements in technology, we have the ability to have God inspired material at our disposal as often as we desire. Therefore, it is our responsibility to “choose” what we will permit our spirits to bask, soak… marinate in.

Here is a prime example.  I very, very rarely watch television programs – with the exception of the news.  However, a program had come on after the news that caught my attention. I think that it was some type of detective story. About a minute into the program; the Lord said, “You can’t watch this”.  So I immediately turned it off.  When I asked Him why, He said that the program had the potential to introduce the spirit of fear and deceit into my spirit.  He also said that if I had permitted my spirit to marinate in such for an hour – I would have availed myself to every negative concept from the program.  Now… would I have gone to hell for watching the program?  Absolutely not.  However, like Sampson, upon my next encounter with the enemy; I might not have had the necessary wisdom, power and authority to successfully outwit and discern his various diabolical maneuvers.  If we are going to stay at least a step or two ahead of our adversary – we must be on our alert at all times.  Everything that is a “good” thing may not be a “God” thing!

We; of our own accord can’t possibly be aware of every current device that the enemy will use in an attempt to bring defeat and or demise to our plan of action.  Nevertheless, when we begin to marinate in the presence of the Lord, we will have the ability to maintain a consciousness of Him – that will always alert us to every potentially adverse situation.

Yes… preparation is vital.  Remember, marinating is a preparatory process.  It is a current procedure, whose results will assure us of our future success. The problem is not “if” we are marinating…. But “what” we using as our marinating substance.

“I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.” Psalm 119:15 ESV
