Lord I'm Available

Lord, I’m Available

Into your hands I commit my spirit….. Psalm 31:5

I recently had the opportunity to speak to someone that I hadn’t seen for quite some time.  This person is a minister and has been used mightily for and by the Lord.  When I questioned them concerning their current status; they informed me that they were not longer “interested” in ministry.

Although we all have those days when we FEEL as though it’s easier to just throw in the towel, we can’t be motivated by our feelings!  We can’t afford to permit the enemy to bring us to the conclusion that the Lord has made a mistake when He has chosen to give to us certain gifts.

So how do we keep up the momentum?  How do we remain available to the Lord year upon year upon year? How do we continue to stand - regardless?   Listed below are a few suggestions.  Always remember… although you may not be able to physically see the impact that you are making in the realm of the spirit… if you weren’t accomplishing anything – then the enemy wouldn’t try to convince you to give up!   The stronger that the desires are for you to just “give it up” - the more you should be assured that you are really a “throne in the flesh” of the enemy.  Now is not the time to take our spiritual gifts for granted. The Lord needs the availability of ALL of us more now than ever before.

We must, as endtime Saints; remain available to and for the cause of Christ; available for the move of God, available for the work of ministry and above all available to be used totally for and by the Lord.

To be certain that I remain available I must:

1.     Spend quality time in the Lord’s presence ( Matthew 6:9-15; Psalm 92:2)

2.     Develop a pattern of fasting on a regular basis  (Matthew 6:16)

3.     Read your sword daily  (Psalm 27:8)

4.     Don’t ignore the guidance of the Holy Spirit (I Kings 19:12)

5.     Live a lifestyle that is so committed to the Lord, that the devil finds no open door within us to gain an access. (Galatians 2:20,21; John 14:30b; Romans 12:1,2)

6.     Know that the Lord wants to use me and can use me.

Ron Kenoly expressed it this way: “If you can use anything Lord, You can use me. Take my hands Lord, take my feet, Touch my heart Lord, speak through me, If You can use anything, You can use me.

So, continue to “make yourself” available to be used of the Lord.  Remember…. Some lost soul maybe waiting just for you!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”

Lighthouse or "Lite" House?

Lighthouse or “Lite” House?

“The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.”  John 1:5

The light within the lighthouse is always shining.  However, its light is only visible when there is an absence of; or a limited availability of sunlight.   Sailors would often rely on the lighthouse to guide them or to warn them of dangerous conditions at night or when the weather was cloudy.  So, although the light from a lighthouse would shine just as brightly in the day; that light was totally irrelevant…until darkness appeared.

We have been called to be the lighthouse for the world today.  The unsaved can be compared to a sailor who is lost at sea …in the dark.  They, the world, are wandering around looking and hoping to find some refuge and comfort for their minds.  They are looking for answers.

The dilemma is this; instead of those who are called to be the lighthouses, standing as the lighthouse; far too often, be stand as a “Lite” house.  The word lite refers to something which contains a low or lesser amount of a substance than the original item.  Therefore a lite house would not contain the power to withstand the storms of life; and would therefore succumb to the pressures of this world.  A lite house is one who professes Christ with their mouth; but their works and lifestyle example a completely different revelation.

·       A lighthouse will stand in faith believing in the promises of God; however a lite house will give in and think that God won’t fulfill His promises.

·       A lighthouse will continue to pay their tithes and offerings regardless to their circumstances; however a lite house will make excuses and stop when financial problems arise.

·       A lighthouse will have the ability to stand and to be a living witness for the Lord without regards to their surrounds or to the circumstances; however a lite house will lack the boldness, stamina and loyalty to God that is required to living example in every situation.

And the list could continue.  However we must remember that the Lord needs us to stand in these last days and to be true lighthouses for Him.  The darker the night the brighter the light.  In other words…. as this world becomes darker and more of the endtime diabolical plans of the enemy are daily released; we, the true lighthouses must shine brighter.

Lastly, we must remember, that if our lights are to be seen…. We must be willing to be in the midst of the darkness… and yet shine!

(Note: those of you who know me, know that I’m old school and love a good hymn every now  and again! This one I remember from my childhood.)

Let the Lower Lights Be Burning

Lyrics By Philip Bliss

Verse 1

Brightly beams our Father’s mercy, From His lighthouse evermore,

But to us He gives the keeping, Of the lights along the shore.

Refrain:

Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!

Some poor struggling, fainting seaman… You may rescue, you may save.

Verse 2:

Dark the night of sin has settled, Loud the angry billows roar;

Eager eyes are watching, longing, For the lights along the shore.

Trim your feeble lamp, my brother; Some poor sailor, tempest-tossed,

Trying now to make the harbor, In the darkness may be lost.

Refrain:

Let the lower lights be burning! Send a gleam across the wave!

Some poor struggling, fainting seaman… You may rescue, you may save.

"And Let Us Not Be Weary...."

“And Let Us Not Be Weary….

We Will Reap –If We Don’t Quit”

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”         Galatians 6:9       (The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense will be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance– we will immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to preserve: under misfortunes and trials, to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”.

When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl, is not serviceable. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t reaped the benefit for which it was created.   Now, if the fruit is going to be consumed, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be transformed so that it will obtain the ability to be totally useful and beneficial.

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….weary.  Sometimes we become weary because we have focused only on our spiritual man and haven’t amended the activities that will benefit our physical lifestyles.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation.

Change = Endurance…..and Endurance also = Change!  It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to endure every facet of change as a good soldier

(2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change and not give up nor become weary.

Broken Boundaries

Broken Boundaries

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

To live a life that has been crucified requires that we establish and maintain boundaries.    Therefore, I must at any cost not permit the cares, pleasures and lifestyles of this world to persuade me to permit my God given boundaries to become broken.    Today, we are witnessing the effects of “broken boundaries” in our homes, our government…and what’s even worst, within the body of Christ.   The body of Christ as a whole has the power to totally uproot and overthrow every diabolical decision that our government attempts to impose upon us.   However, because we have permitted some many boundaries to become broken; the Christ who resides within us is no longer living through us.

We must at all times remain cognizant of the fact that the boundaries which God has established for our lives must remain intact.  Sadly, to say; far too many of us have permitted unmended perimeters to attempt to guard our spirit, soul and body.  We have gradually, inch by inch removed the “ancient landmarks”.  Therefore, as a result of these broken boundaries; the body of Christ as a whole has loss her stamina, power, authority and respect.  Now… there are groups here and there who are attempting to make an impact.  However, when you consider the amount of people who profess to be Christians and who have surrendered their lives to the Lord; and compare it to the influence that we are exhibiting in major decisions; it is evident that we have too many broken boundaries.

I can remember in times past when the “real” Saints didn’t play numbers; now you have houses of worship sponsoring trips to the casinos….. Broken boundaries.  Previously, Saints didn’t watch various programs on the television; now I hear and see everyone talking about the latest weekly series…… Broken boundaries.  We have also broken the boundaries when considering what we permit our spiritual diets to contain.  Most spiritual diets today aren’t composed of enough spiritual nutrition to sustain a newborn Saint…..Broken boundaries.

Let’s become more focused on allowing the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to truly live through us.  This means taking a non-compromising stand for everything that God opposes….regardless!  This means no negotiating or “plea bargaining” when it comes to what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we say, what we wear; our giving and our living; our dispositions and our attitudes.

So… because we have been crucified with Christ, trust God!  We must allow the life that we now live, to a living sacrifice of a lifestyle that exemplifies the power, and the authority of  the Holy Spirit who inhabits our spiritman.  The world needs what we have.  Therefore we must, at any cost, refuse to permit our boundaries to remain broken!

Why Are You An Asymptomatic Saint?

Why Are You An Asymptomatic Saint?

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Matthew 7:20

Mark 16:17 & 18 reads: “And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Those verses clearly state the signs, or the symptoms that are to be manifested in you as one who is a believer.  The Greek word which has been translated here for the word believe is piseno; meaning to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing).

No one can “see” the extent of your faith.  However the evidence of your inward conviction is characteristic with those “symptoms” stated in Mark 16.  The key here is to advance your level of faith to the degree that you, yourself are convinced of its authority and power.  We already have faith, we already have the ability and we have already received the proper authorization to successful display every “symptom” stated in Mark 16.  Yet we permit to enemy to: fool, mislead, trick and deceive us into doubting who and whose we really are!

Therefore, many of us can be referred to as asymptomatic saints!  We may possess the title as a saint; know and use the correct phrases; we regularly attend services, Bible study….and Prayer Meeting!  However, where is your level of faith registering on the “faith thermometer”?  How many of the symptoms listed in Mark 16: 17 &18 are evident in your life?

So in reference to the initial question, “Why are you an asymptomatic saint?”…… only you know the genuine answer.  However, whatever your reasoning may be…. It’s only an excuse.  An excuse that the enemy has given to you – to prevent your effectiveness in defeating him and his kingdom.  An excuse ….a lie that you’ve believed and accepted as truth!

Let’s get down to some real business.  The time has come that we can no longer “comfortably” exist as asymptomatic.  We must now become so “symptomatic” in our profession and confessions that we are manifesting every sign that is recorded in Mark 16.

The world needs to see US walking in the same power that was displayed in years past. They MUST know that our God is the true and living God…whose power hasn’t diminished… and that He is truly the same yesterday, today and shall be forever more!!

Priority Number One

Priority Number One

As we focus daily on our God given assignments and obligations, we must be certain that we don’t lose sight of our ultimate goal.   Therefore it doesn’t matter what our giftings or callings are, nor our area of “expertise”; we all have been given an assignment that greatly outweighs everything else. Far too often, we become so involved in doing the work of the Lord; that we permit the call to distract us from “THE CALL”. In other words we become so engulfed with doing the work of the Lord that we lose sight on our ultimate goal.  We must always remain cognizant of our number one priority.  Its relevancy hasn’t been altered.   Today the need and the demands are even greater now than ever before.   What should be the major underlying focus of every Christian? It should be the ability to be an effective, influential, innovative, skillful Soul Winner!

On a regular basis we must inventory our spiritual data base and do a little housekeeping.  It is necessary that we replace antiquated methods with those whose application will make an impact on the unsaved.  We can’t forget to seek the face of the Lord for His guidance and direction to obtain the strategies that will be effective.  We can’t forget that we should ALWAYS be advocates for the Kingdom of God. We can’t forget that everything we’ve endured has qualified us; and given us vital evidence to substantiate God’s love.  We can’t forget that there are still those – who if they heard some of our victories – would be drawn to the Lord.  Be transparent when the Lord directs you to be so.  Remember…..For the believer - Soul Winning is priority number one…..Always!!

So, value the importance of one lost soul.   Make an appointment with God to discuss the enhancement of your soul winning tactics.  Seek him for the boldness, wisdom and opportunity to be an effective witness – wherever and whenever the occasion occurs.  Simply because God has delayed His return – He is giving US one more day to assist in the enlargement of His family.

Your number one priority is to be an effective Soul Winner.  However, today’s soul winners must be Spirit lead; Spirit filled and above all be Spiritually motivated!

“…… he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.  Ezekiel 33:6

Prayer for our Young Men

Our Young Men Are Always Under Attack!

It has always been the intension of our adversary to prevent the manifestation of God’s divine plans and purposes…especially concerning the men.   The Lord had inspired me to write the prayer below quite a few years ago; however I recently found it and began using it again.

The attack on the minds of our young men is far greater now than in prior times.  However, when we pray…God will honor our petitions that we place before Him.  I would like to encourage you to take a stand and to zero in on some of the young men in your life, in your family, in your church, and in your community.  Claim the promises of God for their lives.  Remember, we never have to beg God to do something.  We only need to decree, stand in faith and WAIT for the manifestation…..because God never fails!

PRAYER FOR OUR MEN ©2007

Father in the name of Jesus, I thank you for the opportunity to life these young men up to you.  I also thank you that these men will fulfill your decreed plans and purposes for their lives.  As an intercessor, I stand and ask that you; Elchaynu Seichot - Our God of forgiveness; will forgive their acts of omission and commission towards you.  I decree that they will begin to rise up and assume their rightful places in this earth.  I dismantle, and break from their lives the power of all negative word curses that they have received unto their spirits.  I disengage previous thoughts and behavioral patterns that have been contrary to and that have delayed the full manifestation of your blessings in their lives.  I decree that they will now begin to operate as your priest in every area of their lives without delay.

I speak healing to their entire being, in the name of YHVH ROPHE….God our healer.  Healing to the area of their minds that encases their emotions, their thoughts, their imaginations, and their reasonings.  YHVH BORE- God our creator; restore and create anew their spirits, creativity and dreams.

Stress and anxiety be gone in the name of Jesus.  I decree and declare that they are totally healed; physically, totally healed psychologically, and totally healed spiritually in the name of Jesus.

Through the power of YHVH PERAZIM – the God of Breakthrough; I call forth a breakthrough anointing that will uproot the spirit of anger, dismantle rage and dissolve bitterness in the name of Jesus.  I decree that the blood of Jesus will infiltrate every wounded area of their being and further cleanse any and every area not named or known to me….but known to you EL DE’OT.. the God of knowledge,

Now Lord, since they have been set free; I decree that your peace will begin to manifest itself in their lives.  I ask that they will sense and feel the newness in their spirits and begin to respond positively and offer no resistance to this total healing process.  I ask that you will send anointed men into their lives to assist them in this new place.  I decree that they will begin to develop new relationships with other like caliber men.  I decree and declare the manifestation and activation of their God appointed spiritual covering.   Father God, I ask that you will reveal to them the proper mentors whom you have already assigned and prepared for them.  Men who are already picking them up in the realm of the spirit and who will interede for them on a regular basis.  Reveal male intercessors who know the struggles and aspirations of men.  Intercessors who will not come down from their appointed places of intercession for these men – until you release them from their assignments…in the name of Jesus.

I also call forth the manifestation of every spiritual gift in them.  Those gifts that you have placed in them even before the foundation of the world; will manifest at the appointed time and not be delayed.  I speak that you will open doors of opportunity for them to minister to other men.  I also decree that every door that you have not opened will be permanently sealed – never to be opened again.

Lastly, Lord God, I ask that you will honor this prayer and manifest every request according to your already decreed word recorded in: Job 22:27 & 28; I John 5:14 & 15 and in Matthew 18:19 in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Go With the Flow!

Go With the Flow!

“See, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? …. “    Isaiah 43:19 NIV

Don’t fight the change! Saints….especially those of you who are actively serving in Leadership; it is imperative that   you become more characteristic of electricity.  The electric current will follow down the path of least resistance.

I’m sure that you’ve noticed the recent atmospheric occurrences which have transpired.  Therefore, because there has been a major shifting in the realm of the spirit; we are in a new place.   We are therefore experiencing and sensing the “newness” all around us.  We must remember that change is attempting to materialize in all things and in everything which concerns us.  The Lord is saying, “Don’t fight the change….just go with the flow!”.

Many times we will gladly welcome change - in some areas, but resist it in others.  “Don’t fight the change”.

Ok…. let’s refocus our minds back to thinking about electricity.  Why do people get shocked?  One of the reasons is that they interfere with the flow of the electrical current.  The Lord has permitted the release of a new flow; a different type of flow.  Saints, stay in the flow!  Avoid getting shocked!

Years ago, there were occurrences when we would to listen to a radio station or television broadcast and we would hear a sound that we called static.  This sound is produced because something has interfered with the natural flow of the sound waves or the current.  The sound of static is not the problem.  The sound of static is the indication that there was a problem.  The problem is that something has caused a stillness; an interference; or a break in the flow of the electrical current.  In other words, the static is relaying to us that there has been a change in the flow.  Something is resisting, fighting against and interfering with the natural flow.   The static is communicating that something needs to be altered.

Saints, (especially Leaders), don’t become the cause of static in your ministry.  Don’t fight the change.  Go with the flow of the Holy Ghost.  Our increase in every area of our lives can only be received when we are pliable enough to go with the flow and not become our own hindrance.

Don’t wait for the lack of sound … or the sound of static…… Flow along the path of least resistance in the realm of the Spirit.  This flow will not be familiar to your natural man or mindset; but within your spirit you will receive an affirmative confirmation that it is from the Lord. This flow will require major adjustments.  However your successfulness as an endtime warrior is dependent upon your ability to swiftly adapt and adjust to the new flow.

When uncertain – enter into a season of consecration to receive specific instructions.  Remember go with the flow of the Holy Spirit – whether it be upstream or across stream!  Just as in the natural – when we go against the current or the flow….we will receive an indication that we’ve interrupted the flow.  We’ll get shocked!  Therefore there may be times when the Lord will need to send us a spiritual shock to bring us to a state of alertness.

Let’s listen to the Lord.  Let’s avoid interrupting or causing an interference in what the Lord is now permitting to transpire.  Let’s get in the current…...prevent getting shocked.   Let’s just go with the flow and be guided by the eye of the Lord!

“I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.”

Psalm 32:8

A Simple Reminder

A Simple Reminder………..

“Beloved, do not be surprised at the fiery trial when it comes upon you to test you, as though something strange were happening to you.” I Peter 4:12 (ESV)

As endtime Leaders, it is imperative that we maintain our position of alertness in the realm of the spirit at all times.  Knowing this, our adversary is constantly attempting to find weakened areas, or breaks in our "wall" where he can gain access into our lives.

One of the tactics that is commonly used by him is to bombard us with various situations  - all at the same time - in an attempt to make us lose our focus.  Many times these occurrences are of various magnitudes, and will require varying degrees of strength and energy to conquer.   However, as a mature leader, you must maintain your focus at all times and not permit the nonsense of the enemy to distract you.

Recently, I've encountered too many leaders who are making excuses for their lack of focus in their times of adversity or discomfort.  These statements have been spoken by Leadership: Pastors, Bishops, 5 fold ministry leaders, etc.; who have been releasing words of self -sabotage.  They have failed to realize that the releasing of such words that will not only hinder them, but their ministry as well.

So let’s keep in mind that we can only become truly effective in our walk if we eliminate every hindrance and conquer every hurdle that the enemy strategically positions in our lives.  We must remember that every hindrance and every hurdle is sent to us as an attack from the kingdom of darkness -  with one ultimate purpose in mind.  They are only sent to us in an attempt to cause us to become distracted, unfocused and discouraged.

WARRIORS! Now is not the time to become "wimps" in the realm of the spirit.  Stand strong, Stay focused and Reclaim your territory.

Begin NOW! Time is of the essence!

“Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” I Corinthians 15:58 ( NIV)

Create An Atmosphere of Excellence

“Then this Daniel became distinguished above all the other presidents and satraps, because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king planned to set him over the whole kingdom.” Daniel 6:3

As we proceed daily to accomplish all that the Lord has assigned our hands to do; we must always remain cognizant of the fact God expects us to be a living example of excellence by creating this type of atmosphere wherever we are.  This character quality appears not to be as important to some as it should.  One of the causes for the failure to build an atmosphere of excellence is the fact that many are still being held captive in a mindset that has been produced by a spirit of poverty and lack.  Therefore, although they are productive in the realm of the spirit; although they love the Lord; and are living a lifestyle that is well pleasing to the Lord…they lack the ability to create an atmosphere of excellence.

The Spirit of excellence; prior to its manifestation; must have the ability to engulf our minds to the extent they we can first detect anything that is in disarray within us.  Excellence begins inwardly and flows from within.  Excellence is a mindset that commands and demands that we bring into a state of order everything – on every level and in every situation.   Therefore, when we have first permitted this Spirit of excellence to begin a work within us ….when will then possess the ability to permit that Spirit to be released from us and to infiltrate atmosphere around us.

One of the main culprits of the Spirit of Excellence is spirit of poverty.  My ability to bind and uproot any degree of poverty that may be within my mind is to first be able to… “recognize its fruit & uproot”!   So because poverty refers more to mental condition; I can be a millionaire and still have a poverty mindset…. And lack the ability to create an atmosphere of excellence.  My ability to create an atmosphere excellence is not based upon my material gain or assets.   My ability to create an atmosphere of excellence is dependent upon my weightiness in the realm of the Spirit.

To create an atmosphere of excellence I must daily refuse to permit others to clutter my mind.  I must maintain a sense freedom.  To create an atmosphere of excellence I must be determined to bring every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.  Finally, to create an atmosphere of excellence I must live according to Philippians 4:8 which states….

“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

Power To Press Beyond

Power To Press Beyond

(Written by Apostle Claudia Boatwright ©2003)

F

ather in Jesus’ name, I thank you for the innate force within me that prompts me to seek a deeper revelation of you.

For my only desire in pressing beyond this realm is to obtain a greater insight of you and your solemnness; thus enabling me to not walk on the surface, but to have available to me those hidden, partially revealed spiritual treasures that are vital at this time.  These “jewels” are required for me to excel and will afford me the opportunity to properly lead others.

Lord God, I thank you that I have learned to persevere and to press beyond the obstacles, the road blocks and the detour signs - the hidden snares designed to delay your divine will for my life.  Thank you for the courage to press; - that courage which is required to recognize and discern; to subdue and call to nought every demonic and satanic force sent to oppose me on every level.  I now know how to press through and not request that you remove from me difficult situations….. For I recognize that all of these have been foreordained for my advancement.

Since you have told me that the best is in the press, I will press into you at any cost.   I will press beyond the feelings of defeat, frustration, adversity and opposition. I will press beyond the spirits of despair, dejection and rejection.  I have learned that I must press beyond any of the feelings in my flesh, and rely only what my spirit discerns for you. Then and then only will I maintain this realization that in my press, YOU will never deny me.

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” Ephesians 6:13-18 (The Message Bible)

Right Connections

Right Connections

Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.                                                 John 7:24 Amplified Version

As we search throughout the scriptures, we can observe that the relationships which people were involved in were of grave importance.  Therefore we might realize the significance of becoming associated with and connected to the right people.

Connections should be for the purpose of increase.  Therefore I should be either the provider or the receiver – but increase is a must.  Wrong, non-productive relationships would be considered one of those “weights which does so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1).

So let’s consider some of our connections.  What do our: friends, acquaintances, religious and secular group memberships reveal?  Are there any connections where I am currently not being increased – or increasing someone else?  Some connections are temporary; seasonal - while others maintain the ability to perpetually be an asset to us in some fashion.   When we don’t know the purpose for a relationship, nor have considered its nature – we will attempt to cling on to and transform those “passing connections” into permanent ones.

We are in the era now where everyone seems to want to “network”. Everywhere you go people are wanting to connect. This can be advantageous as well as detrimental.   We must be on our spiritual guard at all times and realize that every good connection may not be a God connection.

Then there are those connections that go “against the grain” of many in Christendom.  There may be times when the Lord will connect you to someone (s); involved in specific sins or lifestyles… for the sake of assisting them to know Him.  I would like to encourage you to listen to the voice of the Lord.  Far too often some Christians feel as though they too “holy” to be connected to or associated with various groups of people; for the sake of ministry.  My only response is this: If someone is in darkness, and you have a light, how can they come out of the darkness if you refuse to go to them and shine your light?  How will they find the correct path out of their darkness?  The blind can’t lead the blind!  Now I’m not condoning, permitting or agreeing with sin….. Sin is sin and is not to be tolerated.  However, we should never feel as though we are too “anointed” to be connected with those to whom God leads us to.  Nor should we attempt to discourage those who are being used of the Lord in areas where we are not comfortable or called to minister in.   In these last days; the Lord needs to connect those Saints who have a true love for Him … and are willing to share that love… to those who are still struggling in various areas.

God has given us to the ability to be sociable creatures.  We therefore need connections.  However, we must be certain that every connection will be constructive and offer increase, integrity, stamina... and above all… receive a stamp of approval from the Lord.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.” Matthew 5:16

Great peace have they which love thy law and nothing can offend

them: nothing can entice them to sin:

– Nor can the sins of others cause them to fall.

 Psalm 119:165

Our Christian walk is one that is very complex; possessing multifaceted combinations of ideas, concepts and percepts.   Therefore it is vital for every successful Christian to undergo a complete “makeover” if they are going to operate from the plateau that the Lord has decreed.  We must realize that we need to embrace a complete transformation beginning with our minds.  Now for some.. this was easier than for others.   Sadly to say, there are those who had accepted Christ as their Saviour years ago…and are still having difficulty with comprehending the plan purposes and intent of God.

So along this road as we journey towards our divine destiny; our minds must be renewed because there are mindsets that have been engrafted in us through our entire lives which must now be uprooted and replaced with those that are decreed by God. For example; We’ve been taught to think for ourselves and to use our own brains.  Now the Lord is telling us  – not to think for ourselves nor lean to our own understanding. We’ve been taught to govern everything using our five senses.  But God tells us to trust and adhere to a force which operates outside of the perimeter of those senses.  We’ve been taught to fear spirits and ghost.  Now the Lord – whom we can’t see; is telling us to trust in the leadings and guiding of a Spirit. .. that we can’t see.  Also… we were taught to defend ourselves by avenging people for the wrongs done to us.  From childhood we were taught, “If somebody hits you…you better hit them back.”  But the Lord said that vengeance belongs to him.

When we stop and really think about it, we can understand why our minds must be renewed.  We can truly understand that God’s ways are contrary to those that we spent a lifetime adhering to.

We also must learn not to worry.  When we can finally grasp the concept of God’s love for us….we will understand that the problems in life are only problems when we view them from our old mindsets and from the point of not fully understanding who God is.  Nothing in our lives occurs without the knowledge and approval of God.  Now, no God doesn’t send calamities and such….  But He will permit them and use them for His glory….( that’s another lesson for another time!)

So because God loves us, He has warned us that in this world we will have tribulations  - but the statement doesn’t end there.  It continues – but be of good cheer for I have overcome the world.

Ok….so what is God saying?.. “ Don’t allow your problem(s) to steal your   peace.”  We must always remember that we have an enemy who has one thing in mind – and that is to make us doubt and distrust what God has said.

The two words problem and peace are words that everyone can relate to.

But I need you to know that every problem that occurs in your life is preordained by the Lord to push you and enable you understand and to walk in His peace.

Life is full of situations, which if we are not alert in the realm of the spirit – will cause us to view them as problems instead of opportunities for God to manifest his peace.  The choice is yours.

How do we not allow the enemy to steal our peace?

1.    Daily renewing our mind with the word of God.

2.    Refusing to be confrontational – Know who you are. (Matthew 5:25a)

3.    Reminding yourself that you are in a spiritual battle – that our war is not against flesh and blood.

4.    Rehearsing in your mind and out loud the promises of God

5.    Remembering…Whatever is dominate in your mind will rule – what are you watching on TV, Listening to on your ipod, etc..  If I am constantly listening to, reading or watching the incorrect material. I might be opening the door to fear and allowing the negative opinions of others to cause me worry.

Peace – is a mindset.  As I’ve often said… It is not the absence of adverse situations  - but it is the mindset that ALL IS WELL.  So if I am walking in a lifestyle that is in accord with the Lord’s guidelines – I can claim the promises of God.  He has promised that I will ALWAYS prevail!

Just because the battle is intense, don’t allow the problem to steal your promise,

Just because the journey is long, don’t allow the problem to steal your promise

Just because the road is lonely, don’t allow the problem to steal your promise,

Just because it appears that things are not going to work out don’t allow the problem to steal your promise,

BECAUSE OUR GOD IS THE FAITHFUL GOD……

His peace will prevail…..it you demand and command it to do so!!!

What Are You Attracting?

What Are You Attracting?

“Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.”  Proverbs 4:23 ESV

I recently heard about a young man who has implanted a small magnet into his finger.  He states that this implant gives him the ability to feel electrical currents that are undetectable to the naked eye but ever present. He attributes his ability to obtain superior knowledge, to the energy which is produced from this implanted magnet.

Of course, my mind immediately began to compare his implant with the “implant” that we who are believers in Christ have.  The more I heard about the details and effects of those magnetic implants that many people are getting – the more I began to relate them to OUR Spiritual “implant”.

Since you, as a believer, have the Holy Spirit living and abiding – implanted within you – what is His power within you attracting?  Think about it for a minute.  Unlike the magnet’s power which is uncontrollable – we are in complete control of our implant’s ability to effectively function.

Are you permitting the power of the Holy Ghost to attract to you those who could really benefit from your experiences and your love for Him?  Are you attracting those who can assist you and increase you in some fashion; instead of decreasing or attempting to diminish who you are?     Also, have you attracted the attention of the enemy?  Does he regret and become annoyed with your presence?  Does he stand in wonder of what you are permitting the power of the Holy Ghost in you to do against his kingdom? What about your vocabulary?  What are your words attracting?   What about your demeanor, your attitude, and your motives? What are they attracting?

The question is not if, but what.  We are all attracting something.  However, we must make certain that we are allowing our responses to these attractions, to be governed and directed by the Word of God.  When we draw nigh to God he will draw nigh to us and make certain that we are attracting only what will be beneficial for the up building of His kingdom.  (“Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you.”  James 4:8)

Colossians 3:16a tells us to let the word of God dwell richly within us.  When we apply this notion we will be certain that we are attracting only what will be beneficial to the kingdom of God….as well as to bring destruction to every diabolical plot, plan and scheme of the enemy!

Are You Still Committed?

Are You Still Committed?

“A winner makes commitment. A loser makes promises.”  (Anonymous)

“Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 ESV

The Bible has a lot to say about being committed.  If a poll were to be taken, I’m sure that most people would consider themselves to be loyal, devoted, faithful – committed.  However, to be considered as one who has earned the ability to be classified as committed doesn’t come without an extremely high price tag!

Many have declared that this year, they would excel and accomplish more than in previous years.  Whether written, verbally proclaimed and mentally affirmed – commitments were initiated at the beginning of the year.  We are only nearing the close of the first month of this year.  Yet most of those “commitments” have already been diminished to empty promises.

Luke 9:62 refers to be committed – “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”   As does Ecclesiastics 5:5; “It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.”  (Only two of many scriptures that deal with commitment.)

So, let’s become committed to be more committed!   In other words, we must – if we are going to maintain our effectiveness, begin to place more value, on the demonstrated displays of those things which the Lord has assigned to us.  Far too often we “pick and choose” our level of commitment and limit it to what we deem important or more convenient.  However, we must remain cognizant of the fact that God doesn’t invest anything in us that is worthless.  He has handpicked, and tailor made the blueprint for our lives.  He has given to us all so many more giftings and anointings than most of us are permitting to be manifested in our lives.  Now, our job is to become “committed” to the cultivating, grooming and maturing procedures which are required; that will cause every seed within us to begin its growth process.

There is no better time to begin that now.  Many will read this and agree – but will you be one of the ones who will actually be committed enough to change?  It was once spoken that the graveyard contains some of the richest soil.  Why? Because most people die without staying committed enough to their cause to produce the dreams, and aspirations which the Lord has given to them.

To remain committed I must: Change, Obey, Meditate, Mature, Invest, Travail, Trust, Endure and Demand!

Let’s not arrive at the end of next month without displaying some sign that we are becoming more committed to producing all that the Lord has entrusted and meticulously placed within us.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me.” Erma Bombeck

The Optical Illusion

The Optical Illusion

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

Optical illusions; better referred to as visual illusions; have taught us that what we think that we see, doesn’t always reveal what is actually present.  In a visual illusion, your brain attempts to process information received from your optic nerve.  However, although many people can view the same picture they will not perceive the same image.  This is thought to be because of the complexity and individuality of our brain cells; as well as all of the occurrences and information that we have received in our lifetimes. Therefore, we have learned that we can only believe about a half of what we see with our physical eye.

As the end of time as we have now perceived it quickly draws nigh, it behooves us to more eagerly develop our spiritual senses.  We must learn not to sensor everything through what we see with our physical eye, but to increase the awareness of our spirits (conscience, intuition, and communion)….. And to permit that knowledge to impact our soul (mind, will and emotions).

The enemy has painted most of the visual illusions that we cling to today – and that we perceive as truth.  Usually, our number one blockage or hindrance in our spiritual walk has resulted from nothing more than an optical illusion.  It’s some concept or percept that we have “viewed” and now its residue is still lingering….preventing us from aggressively and effectively defeating the enemy….at all times.

II Corinthians 4:18 summarizes this entire concept.  Here Paul is telling us not to look at the things that we see…..because they are subject to change.  I would like to encourage you to focus more on the “weightier” things in life.  Many people will read every label prior to purchasing their food or clothing and exercise religiously. …nothing wrong here.  However, their focus on the edification of their spirit man is not as meticulous.

Let’s not longer receive the optical illusion that this world has presented.  Let’s take off the spiritual blinders….and stop living within the perimeters….the “lies” that the enemy has given to us.  Walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  We are still privy to every blessing proclaimed in Deuteronomy 28.  Don’t allow an optical illusion to deceive you!

Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.” II Corinthians 4:18  Amplified Version

“And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee.”  Psalm 39:7

God is committed TO us.

He has made a covenant WITH us.

His love has provided a covering FOR us.

Therefore we are:

HHolding on

Affixing ….with the tenacity and the grip of a mad bulldog; my every desire, concern and

request to the alignment of God’s word.

“Therefore be ye steadfast, unmovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord”

                 I Corinthians 15:58

O - Optimistically

Remain confident.  Refuse to permit fear, doubt and unbelief intervene.  Speak no negative words… nor permit anyone else to clutter your space with the same.

“And this is the confidence that we have in Him….” I John 5:14

P - Pressing

Pursuing; pushing through and against every obstacle that is attempting to cause me to disbelieve the promises of God.

“And we pull down reasonings and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and we take all minds prisoner to the obedience of The Messiah.”  2 Corinthians 10:5

  EExpecting

Awaiting; believing; and in excited anticipation of something that you haven’t seen the

         manifestation of – yet.

We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair”.

                  2 Corinthians 4:8

Therefore, it doesn’t matter how the circumstances may appear; nor the evidence which is stacked against me; nor the opinions of others –

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”…God to today begin into manifest the benefits of every seed that I’ve sown, which is ready to be harvested.

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… to see a change in the lives of my unsaved loved ones in accord with the prayers that have been prayed on their behalf.

“I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… God to use me in a fashion that I have not previously known.

Lastly,  “I am Holding on, Optimistically, Pressing…Expecting”… God to do exceedingly and abundantly above all that I could ever ask, think, or imagine……and to do it through His power that is at work within me..

And HOPE maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us.  Romans 5:5

The Spirit of Goliath

The Spirit of Goliath

“Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he defied the armies of the living God.” I Samuel 17:36

We, the body of Christ must continually be on guard for the endtime release of familiar spirits.  Although their approach may be enhanced or altered to reflect our current times – the underlying spirit is the same as before.  One of these is the spirit that I’ll call the spirit of Goliath.

This spirit will attempt to taunt, boast, and present an appearance of supreme rule over the body of Christ.  It will attempt to paralyze the body of Christ and to infiltrate our minds with fear, doubt and disbelief.  It will also attempt to challenge, mock and to belittle through repeated verbal proclamations.  Unless this spirit is recognized; we the endtime body of Christ will begin become subject to and submissive to the boundaries which it will impose.   We will gradually begin to be plagued by thoughts of hopelessness, feel defeated and worry - because of the constant onset of negative situations emulating from this spirit.

However, we have been already been given the “Ability & Authority” capsulized with the wisdom from the Holy Ghost, thus enabling us to conquer every demonic force (Matthew 10:1; Luke 10:19).  The power that engulfed David (I Samuel 17) and empowered him with the wisdom to defeat the lion and the bear had already prepared him to successfully stand and slay Goliath.  We also have defeated our lions (things that have attacked us from the ground) and our bears (attacks which have approached from above).  Therefore we have passed the test and are ready to kill this “Goliath Spirit” without hesitation.

Lastly, we must also remember that in this season, the attacks are geared more to our minds than to any other areas of our being and our lives.  If this or any spirit – other than the Holy Spirit can intervene into our thought patterns for just a brief moment we risk defeat!

The attacks are just beginning and will become more intense in the future.  However we must never forget that– THE BATTLE HAS ALREADY BE WON!  We only have to remain focused, and adhere to our instructions from the Lord concerning the maintenance of our daily walk with Him.  Set you affections, your cares and your attentions more on the things which are above….  Above your present level of operating….Above what you currently think that you are capable of accomplishing.

Remember that the sky isn’t the limit…you have no limit!  In this season, you can achieve anything that you can ask or think! Refuse to become intimidated by anyone or anything.  You ARE more than a conqueror!  So place everything that is contrary to what God has decreed, under the subjection of the power that reigns within you!

Slay that spirit of Goliath, maintain your focus, keep your affections on Kingdom Principles….and you won’t have to be overly concerned about succumbing to the power of this or any other demonic force.

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”  I Peter1:13 NASB

Turbulence Onboard?? ... Adjust your Altitude!

“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.  Romans 5:3-5 AMP

Simply because God has called us to walk in and to live by a lifestyle that is governed by His statues, promises and provision; our walk should be quite different from the walk of most of the people which we encounter on a daily basis.   Our walk should be different because we have learned the art of how to handle those unexpected,  yet expected bumps in the road.  Our walk should be different because we have learned that every situation in our lives has been preordained by our master Pilot – who is always on board.  Therefore, when any type of turbulence arises – we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization.

There are various types of turbulence which may occur at any given time.  Certain types are only typical to specific elements and environments.  Therefore because we are all different we will all experience various elements which have been individualized just for us.  The degree of turbulence is dependent upon various factors.  However whatever the level or type – we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization.

Sometimes we can experience turbulence because we are “flying to low”.  In other words we have become too comfortable in our spiritual walk.  We are not advancing…simply standing in the same place, in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore God has to “upset our apple cart”.  He has to permit some type of contrary wind to blow to force us to get out of our comfort zone. .. and to progress or advance in our ministry, calling or giftings.

Then there may be times when we experience turbulence because we are on the flying in the wrong direction.  We have become like Jonah and decided that WE know what’s best… and that God really doesn’t have a clue in this day and age what is best!  So He (God) has to permit a little turbulence to get us back on course.

However, there may be times when we are moving at the correct speed, conditions are “A- okay”; and a turbulent wind comes for no apparent reason.  During these times our Master Pilot is simply testing us.  Not to see what we will do – for He already knows all things.  He is permitting us and our adversary to see the advancements that we made.  He is permitting us to be placed on an open display for others to see.

So, whenever the turbulent winds occur always adjust your altitude.  Remember that the first rule of thumb is to remain calm.  Next, know that their endurance is only temporary.   Refuse to worry.  Stand firmly on the Word of God who is always our very PRESENT help in the time of every storm.  Lastly, learn from every storm and turbulent condition how to progress through the next.

God wants us to be so totally dependent upon His love for us; that we will experience EVERY turbulent situation without even knowing or acknowledging that it has occurred!

As the first month of this new calendar year is coming to a close, let’s be more determined to advance through the remainder of this year so focused on who He is that whatever occurs, whenever it occurs, we will simply adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization!

The Day of Victory

Day 21- The Day of Victory

There is no battle that I will become engaged in or encounter where I will not be victorious.

Jehovah Izuz Wegibbor”

(The Lord Strong and Mighty – Psalm 24:8)

Jehovah Gibbor Milchamah”

(The Lord mighty in battle—Psalm 24:8)

“Who is this King of glory? The Lord, strong and mighty, the Lord, mighty in battle!”     Psalm 24:8

Read: Psalm 24, Luke 10:19 & I John 5

Lord, as this period of Consecration concludes, may I never forget your revealed perceptions and character qualities.  Daily you were reminding me of who you are, and that you alone have the authority, the power, and the wisdom, to enable me to become victorious, in every situation.

So this “IS” a day of victory because you have equipped me with the proper tools to successfully stand against the wiles of the enemy.

As I encounter various attacks throughout this year, may I remain focused on who you are.  May I obtain an increase awareness of your omniscient presence.  Since you, working through your Son Jesus, have already successfully defeated every adverse force – may I never forget that I have a blood brought right to the same victorious state.

I can only emerge from this consecration knowing that whatever I encounter at this stage; in this dimension—I will be victorious.  You have been revealing and re-establishing in me for these past 21 days, every facet of who you.    May I remain cognizant of the fact that I am required to stand firm and unmovable totally engulfed in who you are if I am going to maintain my effectiveness in the realm of the spirit.  I am therefore equipped with every tool which is now necessary for my advancement, my encouragement and to maintain my stamina in you.

Because you are strong and mighty, because you are mighty in battle; I can truly proclaim….

“NO WEAPON THAT IS FORMED AGAINST ME SHALL PROSPER!”

Hallelujah—I AM VICTORIOUS!!!!

…and I decree and declare that it is so in the name of Jesus….AMEN!!
