Who Does My Love Cover?

Who Does My Love Cover?

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”     I Peter 4:8

I’m reminded of an illustration that I saw many years ago concerning God’s love for us – and how we are to mirror the same.  The love of God has no boundaries, limitations or restrictions.   His love is totally unconditional and transcends every sin that we could ever imagine.  He has a love for ALL of mankind and so desires for us to: first be recipients of that love…and then to share it with EVERYONE that we encounter.

Now, for the most part, we have no real issue or reserve assuming the position of the one who is the recipient of any expression of love.  However, we then at times, become like the unmerciful person in Matthew 18:33 . When God extends His love to us and forgives us – we fail to permit that same virtue to permeate our spirits.  We will often become judgmental, analytical, insensitive and downright hypercritical concerning the application of that same love towards the faults and failures of others.

In the illustration that I mentioned earlier; a person was placed in the center of the circle.  This person had several 3x5 cards pinned to them that bore the names of various sinful deeds and lifestyles.  Then another person had a very large quilt with only one card pinned to it. This one card read, “God’s Love”. The quilt; which had the words, “God’s Love” on it was large enough to completely cover the person who was sitting in the circle.  The quilt was placed over the person who was sitting in the middle of the circle. This person, seated in the circle; who bore the titles of various sins; could no longer be seen because they were completely covered with the quilt entitled “God’s Love”! Was the person still in the center? Yes.  But they couldn’t be seen  nor their sins/faults because God’s Love (the quilt) had completely covered them!

So I ask you.. Whom does your love cover?  Do you have the love of God that is COMPLETELY unconditional? Or…do you make excuses for the boundaries and the stipulations that you’ve placed on what “you call” God’s love?  We must boldly stand for those who have not yet had the ability to experience the love of God.   Once someone has encountered the true love of God –they will turn to Him…and “HE” will bring the deliverance.  He will give them the ability and desire to turn totally unto Him.  (Note: Now don’t get it twisted! While we are never to make provisions for, nor sanction any acceptance of sinful acts or the ungodly lifestyles of others; we must learn how to DEMONSTRATE genuine, unconditional love to all –despising the sin, but not the sinner.)

Remember that God needs US…the body of Christ to SHOW.. not just talk and sing about His love.  I’m often asked about the connections that I have with certain groups of people.  My response is always – if I don’t show them God’s love….then who will?

Let’s be more adamant in our daily walk concerning our love walk.  The world is in dire need of true love.  And…. Yes, they are looking for this love in all of the wrong places.  However, when they do come to the right place, which is the house of the Lord; and when they encounter the correct people – who are US, the current day disciples of Christ….. Will they find the love of God … that covers?  We have what they need – but we must be willing to let go of our prideful mindsets, then venture outside of the walls of our buildings, and “SHOW some real love”.

So….. Ask yourself, “Do I permit the love of God that dwells within me to cover everyone? ”

           If not…..why not?

“….. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.  John 8:11

Have I Provoked God’s Jealousy?

Have I Provoked God’s Jealousy?

My God, may I never provoke your anger.

El KANNA”

(The Jealous God – Exodus 20:5)

“You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,” Exodus 20:5

 “El ZELOO”

(The jealous God – James 4:4&5)

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?                      James 4:4-5 NKJV

Read James 4

Although we may not view it from this perspective; the truth is still very evident.   Sometimes we are – knowingly or through ignorance; forcing God to reveal another character quality which is motivated by His love for us. That expression is His jealousy.

We must always remain cognizant that every attribute of God that He reveals to us; is still His attempt to get us to understand His love for us.  It is because of that love, that He only desires for us to acquire the best in every arena.  Many times, because we don’t fully understand this total concept of God’s love for us; we think that He has established unrealistic demands or limitations upon us.  God’s guidelines for our lives are always motivated from a perspective of genuine love, true love – the which… most of us have no correct concept.  If we could ever totally understand His love – then we would have no problem adhering to His word – Regardless.

As I so often have stated; when in our lives, we have not received the proper application of unselfish love; then, we in return are more prone to lack the ability to properly love God.  In life, this is the reason why we can willingly and willfully disobey Him and reject His love – through our displays of disobedience.   Whenever we decide to walk according to our own desires or to delight ourselves in what the world has to offer; we are rejecting the love of God. In reality I am saying – “God I Still Don’t Understand Your Love For Me!”  The same holds true when we are engaged in procrastination, slothfulness and tardiness.  Far too often the Lord has instructed us to do or say something in a given situation; or to be at a given place at a specific time; or better yet.. to BEGIN a function at a given time.  However, we have fallen short!  Regardless to the reasoning that we may have given; regardless to the excuses or the “validations” that we may have presented …. we have not valued our love for God to the extent, that we will place it as our “first” priority.  For a majority of the circumstances, the spirit of pride is still masking itself in our lives. For example, when we are late, or when we procrastinate; we have decided that our “way of doing it” is better.  By do so…we are placing the importance of other things ahead of God …. and provoking Him to display His jealousy.  Why? Because we have become like the world; and placed our thoughts, plans etc. superior to those which have been initiated by the Holy Spirit.  Our actions may not reveal our true intent…. However, they do reveal our final decisions!

The Message Bible states James 4:4-5 this way. “You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.”

So, this is my prayer for today.   Holy Spirit; I ask you to assist me as I re-establish and continue to keep God as the focal point of my life.  In my list of priorities, it is my desire to esteem God.  Lord, I will have, and uphold an amended consciousness of your love for me. Because I now understand your unselfish, “no holds barred” love for me, I will immediately begin to return the same.  May I always remember that everything I do must be for no other reason - than to express to You and show others my love for You. Anything that has moved You from Your place of supremacy in my life; whether it be prestigious positions, business or personal relationships, money, assets – WHATEVER … it will now be moved a position of subordination in regards to my love for you.  I will no longer “cheat on you” Lord.  I will never again place my thoughts, motives or my actions in a position which will provoke you to display jealousy.  I will not lean to my own understanding; but will truly acknowledge you in ALL of my dealings.  You are number one in my life …. You are my life…. And my motives and my actions will now begin to reflect the same.

Simply because….I truly do love you, Lord!

Her Tears, Her Hair, Her Kiss

Her Tears, Her Hair, Her Kiss

“….. And stood at his feet behind him weeping, and began to wash his feet with tears, and did wipe them with the hairs of her head, and kissed his feet, and anointed them with the ointment.”   Luke 7:38

When we refer to the story in Luke 7:38, our focus is usually drawn to the alabaster box and the oil therein.  However, today (Because we do things differently), we will briefly draw our attention to a few other key factors.

Most aren’t sure WHO this “nameless” woman (Mary) was in the story – however, we all know WHAT she did.  This brings us to our first point.  Strive to be motivated from a pure heart of submission and gratitude.  Then your WORKS will make a perpetual impact for generations to come.  “Who” you are may be forgotten – but “What” you do will leave an indelible imprint in the sands of time.

Her Tears –When we seek to understand the shedding of tears, we could embark upon an in-depth study.  However, tears are often synonymous with brokenness and extreme gratefulness.  Such was the state of the woman in our story.

Her Hair - In Biblical days, the women of this culture took great pride in their hair and would often create and arrange it into various styles.   They exhibited a great deal of maintenance into it and definitely regarded it as their glory.

Now let’s think about “The Kiss”.  Her kiss. Her final expression of submission, compassion, adoration, gratitude and closure.

The washing of Jesus’ feet, although symbolic in nature; examples to us an array of expressions which can greatly enhance our relationship with the Lord.  The three main examples for today are:

  1. We must approach the Lord in a state of brokenness, submission and repentance.
  2. Nothing that belongs to me, nothing that I possess, should I withhold from the Lord. Whatever I take pride in, whatever I glory in, should willingly be used for Him.
  3. My mouth must remain at the feet of Jesus.  Whatever I kiss (place my stamp of approval on) must come into an alignment with the walk of Christ.  My kiss must not be one of betrayal….but a signal or an expression which has been motivated by an inward conviction and now resonate from a heart of submission.

Therefore, because of my internal brokenness, and because I’ve surrendered my dearest possession to the Lord, He will receive what I affirm with my mouth.

The tears, the hair, the kiss.  God is requiring that we are broken to the extent that we produce tears; that we will withhold nothing that we deem precious from Him and that we will only apply the symbol of extreme love, humility and gratitude from a heart of a servant.

So…. when I humbly bow; when I’ve kissed the feet of Jesus, I am now positioned to be totally used of Him to make that endtime, undeniable, unforgettable impact…..  The type of impact that will cause an elevation in the level of my faith and produce the miracles, signs and wonders which will get the attention of the saved, unsaved and the unchurched!

(On another note: We always remember that Jesus washed the feet of His disciples – but we must also remember that He permitted His feet to be washed as well!)

Did You Know…

.It’s Your Temple…. It’s Your Responsibility?

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”  I Corinthians 9:16

Sometimes we seem to forget that because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost, that we must be careful of what we permit to enter this temple on every level.  Usually, we are cautious in regards to our physical intake.  However, we must also make certain that our spiritual diet is rich in content and that we filter out everything that we feel would attempt to hinder our spiritual growth or stamina.

Do you realize that your spiritual growth can be hindered by your physical intake?  Are you doing your part to maintain your physical health?  We sometimes forget that the maintenance of our temples IS our responsibility.  While we can quote our confessions concerning divine healing and walking in good health – if we are not partaking of the proper food into our bodies – we are simply working against our confessions.  Many people think that if they are thin that they are healthy – not necessarily so.  Only your physician can advise your concerns in that area.

Here in the USA, we are about to enter what some are calling the flu season…in addition to dealing with the newly announced Delta Variant!  As with the recession, the corona virus restrictions and other issues; I have chosen not to participate!  However, I will move in wisdom to assure that I maintain a healthy diet - as to not give the enemy any access in the natural.  I will enhance the building and maintaining of my immune system; amend my eating habit and exercise more; to assure that I am being totally aware of establishing a Healthy and Holy Temple!

Some of you might remember the lists below which will be beneficial in the boosting of your immune system.  This year, especially, we must enhance our line of defense concerning our immune system.  Remember your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost – therefore God expects YOU to keep it healthy.

7 Flu – Fighting Foods (by Niss Simon)

Tomatoes – Vitamin C rich.  Boost the body’s natural defense system in the same way as their citrusy relatives do.  One medium produces 40% of your daily vitamin C requirement.

Almonds- Rich source of the antioxidant vitamin E which helps to ward of viral infections.  To maximize absorption opt for chopped almonds, almond butter or almond oil.

Mushrooms – Heighten the body’s resistance to viral infections by increasing the natural killer cells.  Rich in selenium; low levels of this element have been linked with an increased risk of developing a more severe flu.

Tea – Green, black and oolong all contain naturally occurring compounds that reduce the risk of the flu.  They contain quercetin – a powerful antioxidant, and L-threonine, an amino acid found naturally only in tea.  Decaffeinated teas also contain the amino acid, but most herbal teas do not.

Carrots – rich in beta-carotene; which the body uses to ward off respiratory infections.  Other good sources are dark green vegetables, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and winter squash.

Black –Eyed Peas – Rich in zinc. Pinto beans, peanuts, roasted pumpkin seeds and wheat germ are other good choices.

Yogurt – Probiotics, found in yogurt and other fermented foods strengthens the immune system.  Cottage cheese, kimchi, and sauerkraut will have the same affect.

Seven Healing Herbs and Spices to Boost the Immune System (by Kendra Lady)

Echinacea, Ginger, Turmeric, Elderberry, Garlic, Ginseng, Cinnamon

Let’s be more determine as we prepare for the upcoming winter season to truly live life from the inside out; and become more conscience concerning the total maintenance of our temple – Spiritually as well as Physically.

Remember…It’s Your Temple and its ENTIRE upkeep is YOUR responsibility!!!!

“But I discipline my body and keep it under control,……….”  I Corinthians 9:27

Assertiveness +Anticipation =Advancement!

“You lazy fool, look at an ant.  Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two, nobody has to tell it what to do.  All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions.  So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?  How long before you get out of bed?  A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?
Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!
”   Proverbs 6:6-11 (The Message Bible)

A while ago I read an article which had been written by John C. Maxwell regarding various lessons which can be learned from the ant.  He said that ants have:

A- Attitude of Initiative (Ants are self -motivated: I Samuel 30:6)

N- Nature of Integrity (Ants work faithfully and need no outside accountability; Proverbs 11:3)

T- Thirst for Industry (Ants labor hard & will quickly replace their anthill when it gets destroyed;  Proverbs 12:27; 10:4)

S- Source of Insight (Ants store provisions in summer; John 9:4)

(Note: Scripture references were added by Apostle Boatwright and were not included in John Maxwell’s article)

After reading that the article, I concluded the following.

When we consider the ants we can also observe that they are never intimated by obstacles or the presence of anything that they may encounter.  Whatever is placed in front of an ant will not defeat or convince it to surrender…. or become distracted from its mission.  They may be forced to discover an alternative route – however they won’t quit!  The ant is one of the smallest creatures – yet they are some of the hardest workers.

Also, the ants “make haste while it is day”.  They know that the night will come when they will not have the ability to work. We should become encouraged from the tenacity which is shown by the ant; because our night is coming! (I’m not referring the physical nighttime!)

The ants are always anticipating …..always in preparation for tomorrow.  The ants always keep in mind that they must advance…. That their mission is before them.  There are times when you may observe that an ant is attempting to carry a load that is twice their size – however, because they have a “mindset” that is motivated for success; they will always achieve their goal.

We, like that ant, are “wired” for success.  Therefore whatever obstacles that present themselves must be conquered….. simply because the Bible says that we can do all things through God’s strength (Philippians 4:13) AND that we are MORE that conquerors (Romans 8:37)!

So, looking forward, let’s always, with great: expectation, motivation and determination have that same zeal which is found in the ants.  I challenge you today to “anticipate” and “advance”.  In other words, expect the daily “bumps in the road”; but don’t permit them to cause you to lose your focus.  Remember that a group of workers….  No matter how small……All pulling in the same direction….. all sharing the weight of the load….. Will get the job done successfully! Develop a mindset that because of who I am, whose I am and to whom I belong…. I am supposed to….. and I will emerge from every situation as the victor and not the victim!

To summarize: if I develop an assertive mindset; if I maintain a spirit of anticipation and expectation; then I will victoriously advance and excel in all that I endeavor!

My road may be long and my journey may seemingly be up hill; however, I must keep in mind the old cliché: “A winner never quits… and a quitter and wins!”.

Transitioned for Transformation

Transitioned for Transformation

If change is to be effective, relevant and complete, it must occur in our minds.  Therefore, if I haven’t altered my thoughts, opinions and ideas concerning a certain matter, then my actions will not produce a permanent change.

According to the dictionary; transitioned means a process or period which something underwent a change and passes from one state, stage, form, or activity to another.   Therefore by its very nature the word “transitioned” bears witness that I have altered some component of my being.

I have not transitioned if everything about me has remained the same.  However as previously stated this process of transitioning begins in our minds.  My actions will only reflex the activity that my control center - my mind - has ordered.

Transformation however, expresses the end product; a completed change.

Today, in this season, God is especially using those who are permitting their minds to be transitioned by the indwelling power of Holy Ghost…. and through that transition, He has brought them into a state of transformation that cannot – will not ever be diminished!  It is these Saints who have now “Transitioned for Transformation”.

Although the renewing of my mind is a progressive process; once the transition has produced transformation in a given area – then, that area cannot ever be controlled by the enemy again.

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I now have the ability to treasure and to be entrusted with the “weightier” matters.  (Luke 16:11)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

My total allegiance is to no one but the Lord. (Matthew 22:37)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have no excuses for not walking in obedience to the call of the Lord on my life.(Luke 11:28)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I know no defeat – I don’t have the ability to, nor the knowledge of failure. (Philippians 4:13)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have not reached perfection in every area – but I am a great threat to the kingdom of darkness!  (Luke 10:19)

Above all; when I have been transitioned for transformation, I am now ready to:

  Receive the Manifestation of what God has promised;

Reveal the Revelation of what God has shown to me .. and

To be a living Demonstration… an Activist and an Advocate for God by adhering to His written

Word on a daily basis.  I am now capable of, and walking in the victory, success and supernatural manifestations that God has prepared for me from before the foundation of the world!  Hallelujah!

The Spirit of Goliath

The Spirit of Goliath

“Your servant has struck down both lions and bears, and this uncircumcised Philistine will be like one of them, since he defied the armies of the living God.”                    I Samuel 17:36

We, the body of Christ must continually be on guard for the endtime release of familiar spirits.  Although their approach may be enhanced or altered to reflect our current times – the underlying spirit is the same as before.  One of these is the spirit that I’ll call the spirit of Goliath (very similar to the spirit of leviathan).

This spirit will attempt to taunt, boast, and present an appearance of supreme rule over the body of Christ.  It will attempt to paralyze the body of Christ and to infiltrate our minds with fear, doubt and disbelief.  It will also attempt to challenge, mock and to belittle through repeated verbal proclamations.  Unless this spirit is recognized; we the endtime body of Christ will begin to become subject to and submissive to the boundaries which it will impose.   We are gradually beginning to be plagued by thoughts of hopelessness and the feelings of defeated and worry – simply because of the constant onset of negative harassment emulating from this spirit.

However, we have already been given the “Ability & Authority” intermingled with the wisdom from the Holy Ghost, thus enabling us to conquer every demonic force (Matthew 10:1; Luke 10:19).  The power that engulfed David (I Samuel 17) and empowered him with the wisdom to defeat the lion and the bear had already prepared him to successfully stand and slay Goliath.  We also have defeated our lions (things that have attacked us from the ground) and our bears (attacks which have approached from above; spiritual wickedness in high places).  Therefore, we have passed the test and are ready to kill this “Goliath Spirit” without hesitation.

Lastly, we must also remember that in this season, the attacks are geared more to our minds than to any other areas of our being and our lives.  If this or any spirit – other than the Holy Spirit can intervene into our thought patterns for just a brief moment, we risk defeat!

The attacks are just beginning and will become more intense in the future.  However, we must never forget that– THE BATTLE HAS ALREADY BE WON!  We only have to remain focused, and adhere to our instructions from the Lord concerning the maintenance of our daily walk with Him.  Set you affections, your cares and your attentions more on the things which are above….  Above your present level of operating….Above what you currently think that you are capable of accomplishing… Above the opinions and stimulations of others! Take the limits off! (Colossians 3:2)

Remember that the sky isn’t the limit…you have no limit!  In this season, you can achieve MORE than anything that you can ask or think! (Ephesians 3:20) Refuse to become intimidated by anyone or anything.  You ARE more than a conqueror!  (Romans 8:37) So place everything that is contrary to what God has decreed, under the subjection of the power that reigns within you!

Slay that spirit of Goliath at its onset, maintain your focus, keep your affections on Kingdom Principles….and you won’t have to be overly concerned about succumbing to the power of this or any other demonic force.

“Therefore, prepare your minds for action, keep sober in spirit, fix your hope completely on the grace to be brought to you at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”                     I Peter1:13 NASB

Don’t Be Superficial…….

We Must; Read, Absorb & Apply

“And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.”  Joshua 1:8 (The Message Bible)

While studying the Word of God is vital for today's leader, meditation is essential.  Meditation is compared to a form of rumination.  There must be a "chewing" and a digestion of the Word of God if we are to avail ourselves to the embedded power, wisdom and vision that the Lord desires for us.

To obtain a deeper insight into meditation, consider the digestive system of a cow. This same process is applicable to meditation.  The quality of your life as a child of God; and the level of your spiritual maturity will largely be determined by what your mind focuses on.   We in America have a saying, "You are what you eat."  Absorption and transformation can begin only after we have masticated the word of God.  This process is initiated through meditation.

Please note, I don't have ANY reference here to transcendental meditation which involves totally clearing your mind, chanting and incantation.  Our reference is solely to spiritual meditation.  Not just any spiritual meditation, but only that of which we seek to gain ALL of our power, strength and insight from God the Father…. That which has been demonstrated by Jesus, His Son… and imparted to us through the Holy Spirit …. Period!

We place far too little value on the material that we permit our minds to meditate upon.  We fail to realize that if we think on the things that we have been instructed to think upon (Philippians 4:8); then we will have available to us the discipline to make a positive impact wherever we go.  We are called to be “living testimonies”. People may hear what we say; but they see what we do. Therefore if our actions are not God motivated – it’s because our minds are not meditating upon the correct information.

Leaders, the revelations that we had obtained "yesterday" are not going to equip us to effectively minister and endure the end time attacks of our adversary today. We must daily meditate on the word of God.  Not for the sake of vain glory, arrogance, nor self-promotion; but for growth, wisdom and endurance.

Meditation is a vital…usually overlooked weapon, that will equip us with the end time strategies and tactics that we MUST have in our arsenal as we continue to stand undefeated against our adversary and every diabolical attack!

“I will meditate on your precepts and fix my eyes on your ways.”

Psalm 119:15 (ESV)

Are You Ashamed of Your Belief?

Why Are You An “Asymptomatic Believer”?

Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.  Matthew 7:20

Mark 16:17 & 18 reads: “And these signs will follow those who BELIEVE: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues;  they will take up serpents; and if they drink anything deadly, it will by no means hurt them; they will lay hands on the sick, and they will recover.”

Those verses clearly state the signs, or the symptoms that are to be manifested in anyone who is a believer.  The Greek word which has been translated here for the word believe is piseno; meaning to have faith (in, upon, or with respect to a person or thing).

People can’t physically “see” the extent of your faith.  However, the evidence of your inward conviction is characteristic with those “symptoms” stated in Mark 16.  The key here is to advance your level of faith to the degree that you, yourself are convinced of its authority and power.  We already have faith; we already have the ability and we have already received the proper authorization to successfully display every “symptom” stated in Mark 16.  Yet we permit the enemy to: fool, mislead, trick and deceive us into doubting who and whose we really are!

In the medical arena; a disease is considered asymptomatic if a patient is a carrier of a disease or infection but experiences no symptoms. A condition might be asymptomatic if it fails to show the noticeable symptoms with which it is usually associated.  Therefore, many of us can be referred to as “Asymptomatic Believers”!  We may possess the title of a Believer; know and use the correct religious phrases; we regularly attend worship services, pay our tithes and are generous in the giving of offerings; attend Bible ….and Prayer Meeting!  However, where is your level of faith registering on the “faith-odometer”?  How many of the symptoms of the believer which are listed in Mark 16: 17 &18 are evident in your life?

So in reference to the initial question, “Why are you an asymptomatic believer?”…… Only you know the genuine answer.  However, whatever your reasoning may be…. It’s only an excuse!  An excuse that the enemy has given to you – to prevent your effectiveness in defeating him and his kingdom.  Any excuse is a lie that you’ve believed and accepted as truth!

Let’s get down to some real business.  The time has come that we can no longer “comfortably” exist as asymptomatic believers.  We must now become so “symptomatic” in our profession, confessions and actions; that the manifestation of every sign that is recorded in Mark 16 is becoming evident in our lives.

The world needs to see US walking in the same power that was displayed in years past. They MUST know that our God is the true and living God…whose power hasn’t diminished… and that He is truly the same yesterday, today and shall be forever more!!

Be bold and very courageous!  Be persuaded and very confident!  Focus more on BEING who you really are…instead of just hiding behind your title!  You already have within you everything that you need to be that Believer which is mentioned in Mark 16.

So… the day of exposure is here!  Be determined to no longer be an Asymptomatic Believer. The baton has been given to you…..NOW…..what are you going to do with it???????

The Comma ….. The Resting Place

The Comma ….. The Resting Place

“Be still, and know that I am God. …………..” Psalm 46:10

When using written communications to convey our thoughts to others, it is much easier for us to be understood when we use various punctuation marks.    Whether you are the writer or the reader; without the use of punctuation marks it would be virtually impossible for the written communication to be successfully comprehended.

One such marking that most of us are familiar with is the comma.  The comma, unlike the period informs us the we haven’t arrived at the end of the sentence; there is still more to come; so just take a brief pause and continue on.

Our lives are also accompanied with various “accent or punctuation marks”.  There will be times when we arrive at the place when it becomes necessary to take a brief rest – and then continue on.  In other words – we’ve arrive at a place that we know isn’t the end or the final stage of the project.  Yet, we are not feeling as though we should proceed “right now”.  This may be the time when it is necessary to take a brief pause – and then continue on.

You just might be experiencing the awareness of a “spiritual comma” that God has inserted into the “sentence of your life”.  God strategically places the commas in our lives where He knows that they will effectively impact us and those to whom he has called us to minister.  Don’t ignore the God inserted commas, or else,  the remainder of the spiritual sentence will be perplexing.  In other words, don’t push forward when God is telling you to wait.  Don’t try to MAKE God move in a given situation.  Far too often I hear people say that they are going to fast and prayer when they are faced with a difficult situation….. because they want God to change His plans concerning their situations.  Fasting doesn’t change the mind or decision of God – it changes us and increases our level of faith.  Therefore, don’t lean to your own understanding.  Seek the face of God… and walk or wait there in.

So just remember, the comma is the signal to stop briefly; and then continue on.  Don’t become too comfortable or discouraged in the “comma” place.  There is still more to be accomplished. God will use YOU to achieve all that He has promised.  Don’t become disheartened when the situations and circumstances which were once “sailing smoothly”; suddenly appear to hit a few bumps in the road…..even though you know that the journey isn’t complete.  Maybe you’ve just encounter a spiritual comma.  So remain calm, seek the face of God for any amendments that need to be implemented… and wait for the release to proceed further.

Acknowledge and appreciate the commas…. They are the brief resting places along this “sentence” of life.

And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while."……

Yom Kippur =Atonement

Atonement =New Place, New Position, New Assignment

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:19 (New Living Version)

“\

The celebration of Yom Kippur concludes tonight at sundown.  Our Jewish brothers and sisters recognize this time as a period of Atonement which began on Rosh Hashanah; continued through the 10 Days of Awe, and now concludes.  We believe that Jesus Christ is our “Messiah”.  We know that His blood has made an atonement for our every need…past, present and future!  Therefore, we can on this day thank God for the atoning blood of Jesus that is perpetual.  We can be grateful that we have been atoned.  Christ will never have to return to the cross again.  His sacrifice, His blood sacrifice has paid our sin debt.  We therefore have the ability and the authority to walk in an At One (ATONE) state with God our Father!  Hallelujah! Thank you Lord, for the ATONING power that your Son, Jesus Christ has purchased for us!

The Lord has said: “My people are all in a new place and have a new position.  (You should have realized this – if you didn’t already know this; go into a period of consecration as to awaken your discernment.)

Reflect on this statement: I’m In My New Place, Embracing My New Position; Advancing Towards My New Assignment!

Think it not strange that you “feel” different and that the things around you appear to be different. The winds have shifted and you are in a new place.  You are now in an enhanced dimension.  You are about to embark upon a new venture.  For some your physical location may be the familiar; however your mission has now been altered, elevated, enlarged and broaden.  Advance, proceed and press forward quickly and cautiously.  It is important that in this dimension you don’t become stagnate, idle or inactive.  Don’t look back with regrets (Remember Lot’s wife!)

Stay freed from every entanglement that once held you captive …. the positive situations as well as the negative.  The enemy knows the important role that you are now in the position to assume.  He is going to attempt to keep you preoccupied with “being busy”…. doing and engaging in assignments that are positive but not God ordained for this season.

Embrace the change by altering whatever you can in the physical realm; this will assist your mind in forming new thought patterns.  If possible change something in your décor; the places where you shop or dine.  Be creative. It may even be as simple as changing something in your normal daily agenda….. But change something!  The shift has already occurred in the realm of the spirit; therefore it won’t be difficult to transform your physical realm.   We have the mind of Christ; therefore, change is only difficult because we have been programmed to believe so. Remember Philippians 4:13!

Don’t expect the assurance or the acceptance of others.  As long as you have my validation, said the Lord….that’s all that matters. Your mandate has already received my stamp of approval.  Continue to guard your heart.  Stand boldly and stand strong in your authority.  It is imperative that your mind stays free.  Walk in peace, walk in power, walk in my promises … and you will continue to walk in my provision as never before.”

Therefore, simply because of the power of atonement, I decree….

I’m in a new place, I have a new position and embracing my new assignment!

And it is so!

"El Nore" - My Ultimate Forgiver

My Ultimate Forgiver

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read – Matthew 18:21-35

Without getting an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for us, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness. We are unfortunately identified with the ungrateful servant in Matthew 18.

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.  Inevitably, when we increase and engulf an awareness of God’s love—then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  Forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because of His love for mankind; and He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive God’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may: offend, attempt to misuse, or abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness in an attempt to paralyze the body of Christ.  Unforgiveness mandates that I will never fulfill God’s destiny for my life.

In contrast to the concept that many people have….What a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to decide that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders!

Reveal to me Father, any areas of unforgiveness that are still lying dormant within my subconscious arena.  Peel back the layers of my mind to expose every crevice where unforgiveness is yet hiding.  Free me from every band of unforgiveness.  Then Lord, may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me.

God is Able….

Just Shift to Autopilot

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye. Psalm 2:8

An autopilot system is a program used to guide a vehicle without the assistance of the human pilot.  I found it interesting that this system is usually only used when the plane needs to climb, descend or remain stable at a certain altitude while following a specified route of flight.   There are also instances when the pilot who is controlling the plane is instructed from the control center to switch to autopilot; thus, permitting the complete control of a plane to be under the guidance of someone or something else.  However, a plane must have this system in tact prior to take off – if the pilot is going to have the ability to use it.

There are times in our lives when it is reassuring to know that we are never left alone to guide and to manage the operation our lives.  When we are climbing to new heights we never have to fear or to become alarmed; we can just shift to autopilot.  When we are confronted or faced with situations where our visibility is uncertain – just shift to autopilot.  When we need to maintain a certain altitude – we only have to just shift to autopilot.

When the plane is using the autopilot system – the human pilot is experiencing trouble free, worry free, hands off flying.  We, in our lives can also take advantage of this type of “cruise controlled” living.  However, we must have in our control center the master pilot; … the one who has the ability to have full knowledge of every situation that may occur.  We must have established the proper connection with our Master Pilot prior to the onset of any type of “turbulence” which may arise.   When we have learned to place our lives in the capable hands of our omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable Father - it then becomes His responsibility to control and to orchestrate the occurrences of our lives.   He is the only one who has the ability to reassure us and to make certain that we will weather every flight in life successfully.

So, for smooth sailing, even on a clear day when all appears to be going well; just shift to autopilot.  Also, always remember that our autopilot has an additional feature.  He has no limitations or restrictions.  The turbulent conditions in our lives never become too difficult for Him to handle.  Whenever we feel the need – we can just make the shift.   He is always just one pray, one call, one thought away.   Don’t attempt to fly “solo”.  Thrust yourself into the capable hands of God Almighty…. Learn to rest in Him….By just shifting to autopilot!

John 14:27 ESV “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.”

Discipline is the Key

“Listen” and Obey

“But whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” Proverbs 1:33 ESV

One weekend I had the opportunity to go out of town and visit a church that I had not previously attended.  When I returned home, as I was reflecting, the Lord had me to focus on one specific incident.

One of the ministers in the service was asked to pray after the reading of the scripture.  However, when this minister came forward, he stated that he wanted to give a brief praise report about something that had recently transpired.  Well, the pastor immediately and politely spoke up and asked him to please just pray now and that he would be given the opportunity to give his praise report at a later time in the service.

Children of God…. we must listen and obey at all times.  It doesn’t matter whether we are in a service, on the job, or in the mall.  Where ever we are; we are subject to the rules that have been established.  Sometimes we fail to realize when we are not disciplined and when we begin to operate in what our flesh desires.  It doesn’t matter what the desire … disobedience is still sin!  We must constantly ask ourselves “why” am I really doing what I’m doing; “when” I’m doing it? Also, are my actions AND my motives to truly bring glory to God?

Now back to the service that I previously mentioned.  There had already been a time allotted for Praise Reports.  We must never attempt to override the instructions that we are given in a service.  The proper method to handle any “leadings of the Spirit” that you may feel, would be to confer with the Pastor or the person in charge… FIRST.  We must trust that God has and is directing the Leader.  The Leader is accountable to God.  Whatever they permit or disallow will be judged by God.  We are never to override whomever God has permitted to operate as the Leader.  Many people fail to realize that during a service there are specific anointings which are released….. which should be recognized by the person who is presiding. Therefore, one person operating “out of sync” can negatively affect the flow of the Holy Spirit!

When that person was given the opportunity to express their Praise Report, it was in reference to a prestigious elevation that they were going to receive.  The Praise Report was well received…. But I just wonder if it would have been more effective if it was spoken within the allotted time for Praise Reports.

We must be ever so careful that we listen to God and obey His instructions… exactly. He will never “speak to our spirit” and tell us to just do what “we” think is best when the order has already been established.

Rebellion on ANY level is still as the sin of witchcraft (I Samuel 15:23)!  We must be ever so alert in these end times that we are not permitting the enemy to ever so carefully and cunningly ease his way into a situation.  When we are determined that we want God to truly get the glory; we will operate in total obedience…regardless.

Obedience requires submission.  Submission requires a broken and a freed spirit.  To receive a freed spirit, one must be willing to live a lifestyle that has been disciplined and is heeding the voice of the Lord.

Now is the time when we MUST listen with our inner ear and discipline our spirits to flow in total obedience.  This entire process is sustained by an ongoing intimate relationship with the Lord.  To paraphrase on I Corinthians 10:23…. Every good thing is not a God thing!!!

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 2:7

Don’t Settle For Less

Don’t Settle For Less

“And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Romans 12:2

Seriously ask yourself these questions.  What achievement(s) do you highly value?  What are you striving to accomplish on a daily basis?  What targets are your arrows attempting to reach?   How many long and short term goals are ever before you?

Whatever venture you are striving to undertake or to complete – now is the time to endure and to press forward as never before.  Don’t become weary, don’t become stagnate… and by all means….  Don’t Settle for Less.

It appears that we have encompassed that mindset of the world which has caused us not to value who we are nor what we have been called to bring into manifestation.

For example, we are settling for what brings happiness…. Instead of persevering for joy;

We are permitting our appetites (spiritual & natural) to be appeased or pacified…Instead of fulfilling their required necessities.

We are popping too many pills … Instead pulling our heads up from the pillows and praying our way through.

We have permitted too many of the conveniences of modern technology to limit instead of enhancing our brain’s activity and ability!

So, ever so slowly, ever so subtly, we have begun to settle for the lesser qualities of life – instead of striving for better.  We have just “accepted” and become satisfied with whatever has come our way.  Therefore, for the most part we are living a life and lifestyle that is far more inferior to the desires of the Lord!  Our creative instincts are almost non-existent and for the most part, our lives are lacking the “greater”.   However, we must; as King’s Kids – begin or continue to refuse to settle for just “anything”.  We must keep our goals and aims focused on the wholesome and weightier principles of this life.

Begin to recapture the mindset in your daily activities that will not permit you to settle for less in any area of my life.   Simply because I am a joint heir with Christ – all of my needs are already met.  I therefore don’t have to lower nor compromise my standards nor my expectations, nor my desires, nor goals nor my vision. Develop the mindset that I don’t have to settle for anything less and I won’t settle for less in any area of my life!

The greater one lives on the inside of me…. Therefore I can no longer be comfortable settling for the “less”.  I also cannot become ignorant to the fact that iron does sharpen iron.  So those who are content and relaxed in their “state of less”…. Don’t exhibit the qualities of iron and will dull instead of sharpen my being!

As of today – I will begin to rid my mind, and my physical environment of everything that resembles the state of being “less”….. and permit true greatness to be my daily portion.   I will revamp my “bucket list”.  I’ll no longer “wish” but I will decree, declare, affirm, and announce that because the greater one truly does live on the inside of ME (I John 4:4)… I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER. EVER again SETTLE FOR LESS!

“Wealth and riches are in my house: and God’s righteousness endureth forever.”    Psalm 112:3

But….Are You Sure?

But….Are You Sure?

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”    Philippians 1:6

If someone were to ask you to name five things that you are absolutely certain about, what would be the first item that you would list?  Would you have difficulty in composing such a list?  What would be the basis from which you gather your responses?  Would you rely on the “trials and errors” of your past?  Just how or where would you even begin to construct such a list?

As we consider the status of this world’s condition … things look mighty dim!  I’ve often heard many people….. those who were “Saints of the Most High God”; say that they can’t bear to watch the news or to engage in conversation about the daily tragedies and occurrences.  They walk through life feeling defeated, discouraged and afraid.   Then, these very same people will say that they are assured of the protective and loving hand of God! They will say that they know our Father is still ultimately in control!   My only response to them is…but, are you sure???

So I ask of you…. Do you know God? Or maybe it would be better to say – How well do you know God?  Are you truly assured of who He really is?  Do you have that assurance that He is really on your side?  Now be honest.  Do you have that assurance that He is really in the midst of perfecting each and every situation for your good?

Well…it’s time for another prayer .. (I have a plenty of them…as you know by now!).  This one is entitled, “Prayer of Assurance”. If you are already confident in whom and whose you are, please feel free to share it with someone who may seem to be losing their focus during these trying times.  Let them in on the secret as to why you are not impressed nor upset with the onset of these chaotic world conditions.   Share with them that your full assurance is in the Lord….and He doesn’t have the ability to fail nor to succumb to this world’s nonsense!

Prayer of Assurance         (2003)

Lord God, I thank you for the spirit of assurance.  Your word verifies that true assurance in you is the attribute that will permit me to overcome every obstacle in these last days.

Full blessed assurance in you validates the fact that because of your sovereign love for me - nothing, nothing, No Thing - that occurs today in my life will cause a detour in your divine will for me.  My assurance, my firm conviction in you mandates that I exercise my blood bought authority this day, to walk above the circumstances of life.  I will never again release from my mouth that I am under, beneath or a victim to my present or the world’s conditions.

Your word assures me and reveals to me who you are, your very nature.  Your word reveals to me that the things seen are temporal, moveable, mutable, unable to withstand, subject to environmental conformation.  Therefore, I am assured that as I   absorb, soak up and permit only your word to infiltrate my spirit - then and then only will I have the ability to rise above and remain above my circumstances.

My assurance in you decrees that I will not leave this life prematurely.  My assurance in you decrees that I have the ability now to stand in the midst of adversity and command your presence to prevail.

I thank you for your assurance that I am a “King’s Kid”; an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ.  I am of a royal priesthood, divinely anointed and appointed for this time - groomed and adorned by God, for God.

I am assured that I can only excel.  It is because of this assurance that I know I will never, never, never be defeated.

 Does It Really Matter?

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 ESV

Many people often ask questions in regards to the appropriateness of their ability to listen to secular music.  Usually, these questions are received from those who still haven’t been able to comprehend the importance of a properly enriched spiritual diet.  It reflects not on the longevity of one’s salvation experience; but on their level of spiritual maturity, as well as their ability to discern the effectiveness that music has on the soul of man.

God has created us with the ability to respond to the sound music in a fashion that we respond to no other stimuli.  Everything that is living reacts to the sound of music... plants, animals and of course people.  Music is considered a universal language.  Why? Perhaps because in all actuality, music emanates from the spirit of the writer.   Therefore, as a child of God – one of my main concerns should be to mimic my Father – in every aspect of life.  So, how can secular music; which has been produced from the spirit and soul of one who is in direct opposition to my Father; be of any sincere benefit to me?   For example: If I believe; as the Bible states that God is love (I John 4:8); how can someone who doesn’t know God, even begin to tell me ANYTHING about love?

If I am still finding the necessity to seek comfort, enjoyment, relaxation etc. from something that was composed by one who does not know nor have a relationship with my God – what is that saying about how I value my spirit-man?  How much value am I placing on my relationship with God?  Am I saying that God is limited in His ability to produce those people whose music has the potential fulfill my every need?  In other words, have I failed to realize that there are Believers who have composed every type of music that I require to fulfill my every desire? Or have I not matured to the extent that I no longer require the crutch of secular music? Or have I not really become aware of the fact that by me yielding my ear gate to secular music, that I am willingly opening an entrance for the enemy?  Have I not realized that this may be one of the “openings in my perimeter” that the enemy is using to gain access?   We must never forget that we are constantly… (24/7... 365) engaged in a spiritual battle.  Sadly to say, our adversary knows the importance of our relationship with the Lord and recognizes its relevance more than most of us!

In this era where we are constantly bombarded with various “instruments” (ideas, legislative rulings, spirits of err, etc.) which are directly contrary to those of the Lord; we must be alert and on our guard for anything that will attempt to divert our attention and devotion from the Lord.

Hebrews 12:1 explains it this way:“…… let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us”.

Sooo….. Could secular music one of those weights? You be the judge!

You Are An Original Design…SO

Be Whom God Has Created You To Be!

I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalms 139:14

WARRIORS!!! Remember that you are uniquely, fearfully and wonderfully hand crafted by God. Therefore you must stand boldly; embrace your uniqueness….and don’t unconsciously imitate others.

God has given unto you a strategic battle plan - that can only be properly implemented by you. However, if you are not comfortable in being yourself - you will not be able to effectively invade the satanic data bases and be the effective warrior that God has designed you to be. There are diabolical plans of the enemy that continue to stand firm because many of us are not confidently positioned in our own uniqueness. Far too often, we are not fulfilling our God given assignments because we have unconsciously engulfed patterns, traditions and the like which are limiting OUR effectiveness.  We have seemed to embrace the notion that we must: walk like, talk like, preach like, prophesy like…. Bishop “so and so” or Pastor “so and so”.    We have failed to realize that those people are victorious in their giftings simply because they are adhering to their own uniqueness.  We will discover that our journey will become much easier once we have learned how to walk in the footprints and leading of the Holy Spirit, instead of those which have been displayed by other saints!

Advancing towards maturity now demands that we stand our ground in the realm of the spirit and BOLDLY use the weapons that God has instilled within us!  Seek the face of God for the boldness to venture into the uncharted waters of your own life.  Refuse to remain the same.

Growth demands some form of alteration.  Anything that is alive grows and experiences some type of change.  Therefore, if everything such as:  your prayer life; your sense of discernment; your tolerance level; your love and concern for the homeless, imprisoned, etc…. if everything has remained the same day after day, month after month year after year…. you should question your growth in the realm of the spirit!  You should question whether you have tapped into your God given uniqueness.  You should question whether you are advancing towards being that threat to the kingdom of darkness that you were created to be!

Learn to be satisfied with WHO you are…..but not WHERE you are!  God has carefully and wisely created you ….to be you.  Embrace who you are… and remember; No one can perfect you ….. At being you….. Except you!

“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you - from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”

…No Need to Worry.... You have the Keys

“18And I tell you, you are Peter [Greek, Petros—a large piece of rock], and on this rock [Greek, petra—a huge rock like Gibraltar] I will build My church, and the gates of Hades (the powers of the infernal region) shall not overpower it [or be strong to its detriment or hold out against it].19 I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven; and whatever you bind (declare to be improper and unlawful) on earth]must be what is already bound in heaven; and whatever you loose (declare lawful) on earth must be what is already loosed in heaven.    Matthew 16:18 & 19 (AMP)

In our lives today, we are constantly encountering various situations that are not under the jurisdiction of our immediate control.  I’m certain that most of us could establish a never ending list of such.   We must remember that these situations are those which have been permitted and allowed to confront us.  Every obstacle or adverse situation that we encounter in life can be viewed from at least two perspectives. We can view these situations as being presented by the enemy in hopes of opening the door to fear, doubt and unbelief; or these same situations can be perceived as those which have been permitted by the Lord to serve as opportunities where He will gain the ability to reveal His divine guidance, direction and protection.

When we encounter adverse conditions, we must remember that God has given to us keys in the form of His word.  These keys will equip us with an immediate access to His divine intervention.    For example; we have been given the key to unlock the entrance into that area of our mind that still must be renewed concerning ungodly fear.  When we truly unlock our minds and permit them to become freed by comprehending the love of God; we will never again walk under the umbrella of ungodly fear.  This type of fear is often manifested through a spirit of pride.  Why? Because “I” feel as though “I” can/can’t handle the situation.  Or “I” feel as though “I” can/can’t control what is occurring.  When I excuse God from the picture, I have diminished, decreased and eradicated the intervention of His divine authority & power.  I have unconsciously decided that my problem or situation is of a greater magnitude than my God!  I have also decided that God’s love isn’t powerful enough to bring me through my current dilemma!

Therefore, it doesn’t matter what I encounter I must make a conscious decision that I won’t worry – nor become fearful, perplexed, confused, or dismayed…simply because I have the keys!

When I observe my spiritual key ring there is a master key labeled “FOCUS”.  I must learn to F.O.C.U.S.

F= “First things first” (Matthew 6:33)

O= Only Believe (mark 9:23)

C= Count & Cast (James 1:2 & I Peter 5:6&7)

U= Unbelief ..get rid of it (Mark 9:24)

S= Stand (Ephesians 6:10)

To focus is therefore to: keep First thigs first; Only believe the Word of God – nothing else; Count it all joy and cast every care on the Lord; Uproot unbelief; and lastly STAND on the promises of God!

So, how do I focus in the midst of adversity?

  1. By hiding the Word of God in my heart…. Prior to the onset of negative conditions.
  2. Daily quoting and saying out loud the Word of God.
  3. By refusing to quit!

Remember this: Whatever adverse situation is presently prevalent or currently existing in your life is only an attempt by the enemy to distract you; to divert your attention; and to challenge your knowledge of the Lord.  However also remember…. you never have to bow to the lesser authority of worry…. Because you have the master key called FOCUS!

Virtues of Victory

Virtues of Victory

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”    I John 5:4

What is victory?  How is it determined?  Listed below are some of the foundational concepts or the Virtues of Victory.

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a vision; a mental image of my future state.          “Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit increase by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening. Therefore to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly and powerfully intensify every area of my life.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make   progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;  Jude 20  (AMP)

C -    Concentrate – To ponder; to muse; to deliberate.  Concentration requires an ability to focus.  Victory is never accomplished by one who has loss their ability to maintain  heir focus.
“And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2
T -    Trust – Confidence or conviction.  To gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels from the inside out.
“Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life.”         Psalm 146:3 (MSG).  Also  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5

O -   Opposition – Hostile or contrary action or condition.   Except the fact that there will always  e oppositions; some will edify, some will challenge and all which emanate from the kingdom of darkness are sent to destroy.  However.. every opposition will produce victory… if permitted to run its course!

“....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.  To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.                    Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

Y -   Yoked -   Joined, fasten to, connected to.  To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive burden; and only become yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s  plan and purposes for my life.
“….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

We can also observe that the letter “Y” is the last letter in the word victory.  The shape of this letter reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

Paul explained it like this: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”?  The answer: The ability to expand my Vision; to aggressively Intensify every area of my life; to maintain my Concentration; to continually build and fortify my Trust channels; to expect Opposition, to obey the Rules and to be Yoked to Kingdom Principles!
