Prayer For Breakthrough

“Breakthrough Oh Lord, so that I may break forth”

As we enter a new season, Lord I ask you to permit the power of the Holy Ghost to “breakthrough” and to break up any type of residue that is still attempting to linger in my spirit; any lingering mindset that will prevent your power from having its full range in my spirit. Yahweh Perazim, I summit my will to you now, and request that you break through it.  Burst forth as the waters through an overly stretched dam.  Break forth with your explosive, uncontainable power. 

As you broke through and rescued David from his enemies, breakthrough the plans and devices that my enemy, the master deceiver, has concocted for my demise and destruction.   Break through every shackle that is still attached to my feet, thus attempting to prevent me from being in my “appointed place” at the correct time. Break through the thorns and thistles in the realm of spirit, which produce the “snags” that permit me to misuse or waste valuable time.  Break through unhealthy, nonproductive relationships.  Break through every barrier and “smoke screen” that is hindering and blocking my vision - still preventing me from aggressively and confidently advancing.  Break through every negative spirit that the traditions of man have instilled in me, which are hindering the effectiveness of my warfare on a daily basis.  Yahweh Perazim, search my entire being, layer by layer.  Whatever concepts, precepts, ideologies, methodologies and the like, that are contrary to yours – break them up, move them out, replace them with your wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

And now Yahweh Perazim, as you break through, may I daily begin to perceive and receive the results and operate in the freedom which is being produced from my enhanced position of power and authority.  May I begin to break forth into one who is: feared, detested, hated, envied and begrudged by the kingdom of darkness.  Now, I have been freed.  Now, I AM free,…. to be moldable clay in your hands.  As you use me mightily, may I always remain cognizant and grateful to you, Yahweh Perazim - for your prodigious “break -through” anointing.  May I never become arrogant, conceited or heady – only more confident as I walk and rest in the freedom that only you have the ability to provide.

It’s Your Temple…. It’s Your Responsibility

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”  I Corinthians 9:16

Sometimes we seem to forget that because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost, that we must be careful what we permit to enter this temple on every level.  Usually, we are cautious in regards to our spiritual intake.  We make certain that our spiritual diet is rich in content and we filter out everything that we feel would attempt to hinder our spiritual growth or stamina.

We have the spiritual aspect pretty well covered.  However, what about in the natural?   Are you doing your part to maintain your physical health as well?  We sometimes forget that the maintenance of our temples IS our responsibility.  While we can quote our confessions concerning divine healing and walking in good health – if we are not partaking of the proper food into our bodies – we are simply working against our confessions.  Many people think that if they are thin that they are healthy – not necessarily so.  Only your physician can advise your concerns in that area.

Here in the USA we are about to enter what some are calling the flu season.  As with the recession; I have chosen not to participate!  However, I will move in wisdom to assure that I maintain a healthy diet - as to not give the enemy any access in the natural. 

I recently came across the list below which will be beneficial in the boosting of your immune system.  Remember your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost – therefore God expects YOU to keep it healthy.

7 Flu – Fighting Foods (by Niss Simon)

Tomatoes – Vitamin C rich.  Boost the body’s natural defense system in the same way as their citrusy relatives do.  One medium produces 40% of your daily vitamin C requirement.

Almonds- Rich source of the antioxidant vitamin E which helps to ward of viral infections.  To maximize absorption opt for chopped almonds, almond butter or almond oil.

Mushrooms – Heighten the body’s resistance to viral infections by increasing the natural killer cells.  Rich in selenium; low levels of this element have been linked with an increased risk of developing a more severe flu.

Tea – Green, black and oolong all contain naturally occurring compounds that reduce the risk of the flu.  They contain quercetin – a powerful antioxidant, and L-threonine, an amino acid found naturally only in tea.  Decaffeinated teas also contain the amino acid, but most herbal teas do not.

Carrots – rich in beta-carotene; which the body uses to ward off respiratory infections.  Other good sources are dark green vegetables, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and winter squash.

Black –Eyed Peas – Rich in zinc. Pinto beans, peanuts, roasted pumpkin seeds and wheat germ are other good choices.

Yogurt – Probiotics, found in yogurt and other fermented foods strengthens the immune system.  Cottage cheese, kimchi, and sauerkraut will have the same affect.

Let’s be more determine as we prepare for the upcoming winter season to truly live life from the inside out; and become more conscience concerning the total maintenance of our temple – Spiritually as well as physically.

                    Remember…It’s Your Temple and its entire upkeep is YOUR responsibility!!!!

What’s That Smell?

“Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.”   James 3:12

Whenever someone has sent some time in a room where there is a concentration of a certain type of smoke, when they leave that place  – it will be very evident to everyone else that they have spent some time in a certain atmosphere.  For example, you may enter a place where there is cigarette smoke.  Even though you may not have smoked – just because you were in that environment, the smell of the cigarette will infiltrate your clothing.  Or, if you are in a room where there is food cooking or incense burning – the effect will be the same.

Wherever there is a fire burning, and that fire comes in contact with another substance, there will be a release from the object which is being burned.  This released vapor – “smoke” – is the evidence that something was or is burning.  The more intense the fire, the greater the lingering smell of the smoke. 

That brings us to our questions for today, “What do you smell like”?   “What is really burning on the inside of you”?  Is the time that you spend in the presence of the Lord potent enough to have a lingering, lasting, and even a transforming effect?  Whatever is on the inside – will when it is ignited, begin to burn and emit a scent. 

Whatever is burning on the inside of you, will become evident when your flame is ignited!  For example, what happens when you are waiting in a long line at the market, bank or the mall (For those who don’t use cyberspace for everything)? – or when another driver is driving too slowly in front of you – and you are late?!  How about when you are given too much change by a salesclerk….  or the waitress gets your order incorrect – again?!  What type of fragrance does your smoke produce during these times?

Let’s be more determined, by making a conscience decision; that we will be certain; to keep the fire of the Holy Ghost burning within us. This is only achieved by spending more time in His presence.    It is only when we have allowed His fire to burn up everything in us that is not like Him; that His presence will have the full reign to burn within us.  Then the smell of our “smoke” will have the fragrance of the fruit (not fruits) of the Spirit – and the lingering scent emitted from us will be Him.   The Holy Spirit will flow through us and from us; infiltrating the atmosphere and be displayed daily as we operate in the gifts of the Spirit. 

“……….. but be filled with the Spirit;” Ephesians 5:18

My Ultimate Forgiver 

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read – Matthew 18:21-35

Without getting an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for us, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness. We are unfortunately identified with the ungrateful servant in Matthew 18.   

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.  Inevitably, when we increase and engulf an awareness of God’s love—then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  Forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.  

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because of His love for mankind; and He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive God’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness in an attempt to paralyze the body of Christ.  Unforgiveness mandates that I will never fulfill God’s destiny for my life. 

In contrast to the concept that many people have….What a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to decide that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders!

Reveal to me Father, any areas of unforgiveness that is still lying dormant within my subconscious arena.  Peel back the layers of my mind to expose every crevice where unforgiveness is yet hiding.  Free me from every band of unforgiveness.  Then Lord, may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me. 

Tenacity To Endure

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

In this season it is imperative that you don’t give up!  We are all on the verge of receiving from the Lord all that He has promised.  Don’t get distracted.  Don’t become weary.  Don’t lose your focus.  Here’s another prayer that the Lord had given to me.  Be Blessed.

Grateful For Your Tenacity (©2003)

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to you to acknowledge that tenacity is needed to accomplish your divine purpose in my life.  So I come to you now, EARLY. At the beginning of this time of my life.  Since today is the first day of the rest of my life, I have come at the start of this new season, with the realization that I am in a new “place in life”.  For this day has never been seen prior to its awakening.  Therefore, I am in a place that I have not yet experienced. 

I thank you for your diligence, your perseverance, your endurance, your stamina, your assiduity, your determination - that I now possess that enables me to be the warrior you have decreed me to be.

So now Lord, I stand on Romans 8:36-39 and declare that in all things I am more than a conqueror.  I acknowledge that I already have the tenacity required to receive the manifestation of every blessing that you have outlined for me in your word.

I will therefore never permit any obstacle or phenomenon in this life to hold me captive.  I will never permit any thought pattern that is contrary to your divine direction to invade my conscience or sub-conscience intellect.

As I have become more tenacious while studying your word; You have revealed your wisdom,

As I have become more tenacious in times of disappointment; You have revealed your   unconditional love and security,

As I have become more tenacious while engaged in spiritual warfare; You have revealed your camouflage, shield, shelter, your protection - as well as the ability to uproot diabolical plans.

As I have become more tenacious in every area of my life; You have revealed the potency, the discernment, the joy, the peace and the fulfillment that are now evident in my life.

Thank you Lord for the manifestation of “SUPERNATURAL TENACITY”!        

It’s Time To Move Your Anchor….Again!!!

………… Launch out into the deep, and let down your nets for a draught. Luke 5:4

The word for today is one of encouragement and congratulations.  For the Lord has said that it doesn’t matter who you are; if you’ve committed yourself to advancing your walk with him - you are to be commended.  You’ve successfully conquered all that the enemy has thrown upon you.  You’ve excelled on your current level and within your current dimension.  The time has now come for you to take your spiritual walk into your uncharted waters.  However, bear in mind that promotion is a double sided coin.  While we ascend to the highest plateau in one dimension; upon reaching the next, you are once again at the ground level. 

In the natural, we can usually realize our growth and know when we made the necessary accomplishments which are required for advancement.  However, far too often in the realm of the Spirit we don’t recognize the signs.   

As you continue to progress into this new season, move your anchor into deeper waters.  The deeper waters will produce those boisterous waves and the unpredictable undercurrents.   But you are now ready to ride out the waves and maintain your focus in the midst of every storm.   Navigating through the deep waters will prove to be very advantageous.   Launch out in the deep.  Stretch your faith!  One will never receive mountain moving faith or produce “a prison door releasing praise”, while routing a course through shallow waters.

Leaders! (and potential leaders) Don’t permit the spirit of passivity to become a comfort zone.  This spirit has begun to occupy the seats in our churches simply because WE are not moving our anchors. WE must continue to take the proper measures to advance ourselves, if we are to lead those whom have been untrusted to us, to the next level and the next dimension.

Consider this:

Have your church services become so “routine” that they fail to permit the move of the Holy Ghost?  

Then it's time to move your anchor!

Are souls no longer receiving the conviction of the Holy Ghost?  

Then it's time to move your anchor!

Are people coming in and leaving the services, still unbroken under the anointing of the Holy Ghost?  

Then it's time to move your anchor.

Lastly, the deep waters are not heavily populated.  Don’t become overly concerned about those who are not ready to accompany you.   Jehovah Shamah will alway (no “s”) and always be there!

Therefore:

1.   Seek the face of God in fasting and prayer for divine revelations, wisdom and power. 

2.   Then... Pick up your anchor.  Uproot and carefully weed out every hindering spirit.

3.   Launch out into the deeper waters. Move forward cautiously but not fearfully.

4.   Watch the manifestation of God’s promises become a part of your daily walk.

Saints! Move your anchor and allow God to prove himself faithful to you and the ministry.  (Even if you are not the Pastor or one of the ministry leaders – if you move your anchor and begin to launch your spiritual walk into deeper waters – you will glean the ability to greatly impact your entire church!)

Prepared or Unprepared….

It’s Imminent ….Are You Ready?

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.                                                                                                                  I Peter 4:7

I read an article a while ago in which the author was sounding an alarming alert.  He was warning us of an attack of an insect called the Cicadas which was expected to make their appearance before the end of that month.  The problem that these insects were posing was the fact that billions of them had been “festering” underground for about 17 years and would now make their appearance.  

As I continued to read the article – I began to correlate this attack in the natural as a revelation to what is also occurring in the realm of the spirit.  We can’t ever forget that the enemy hasn’t played his “trump card” yet.  He also has “weapons of mass destruction” that have been previously hidden – but which will soon emerge.

Although his attack is imminent – you don’t have to be victimized by it.  Are you ready for these attacks?  Have you renewed your mind and thought patterns to those of a kingdom warrior?  Have your disciplined yourself physically and emotionally to the extent that you have the ability to maintain your focus in the midst of extreme adverse situations and conditions?   Will your stamina, allegiance and commitment to the Lord remain that unshaken foundation - regardless?

In the same fashion that we had been warned about the onset and destructive ability of these cicadas – the Lord has given to us a warning through His prophets about our future.  Have you correlated the recent attacks which have been directed towards various modes of transportation, extreme weather conditions and mass killings to the release and strategy of the enemy?  Or have you not even noticed all of the recent “accidents” which have involved: the cruise liners (attacks in the water); the enormous amount of plane crashes and disappearances (attacks in the air); and now the devastating train wrecks, tractor trailers, school bus accidents and other acts of violence (attacks on the land)? …(and the school buses represented a dual attack; an attempt to destroy our seed and impose a spirit of fear concerning our children!)   If we take heed to these warnings – we will have the advantage and the ability to be prepared for every attack.  Now is the time to make the proper preparations.  If your mind is properly prepared – you will go through the fire and emerge not even having a hair on your head singed; nor having the smell of smoke.  

Be determined that you will begin today to aggressively seek the Lord for the wisdom to implement a strategic plan of endurance.  Gird up the loins of your mind NOW! Daily proclaim: “I have the mind of Christ”.  Be determined to not be distracted by what you see in the realm of the spirit or hear or by what you see - physically.   Too many Saints are saying that they don’t listen to the news because it’s depressing.   Well….Get a grip and grow up!  It’s time to become more mature, face the enemy and not be swayed by what he is attempting to do.  We have no need to fear – only to be prepared.  We must also remember that the ultimate battle has already been won –  we simply have to know how to walk in that victorious state of PEACE.

Yes,… another, more sever attack is imminent…. ARE YOU READY?

“So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.”   I Peter 1:13 AMP

Walk In Boldness & Confidence….

No More “Cubic Zirconia” Gems

“I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made” ….. Psalm 139:14

God has not designed, nor produced anything that is not authentic.  However, far too often we in the body of Christ have been “hoodwinked” into thinking that we must pattern, copy and mimic the actions of others.  We fail to realize that God has created each of us uniquely different.  It is His desire that we examine the life of Christ in every aspect; and configure our lives according to the example that He has displayed and not the lives of one another.

I am reminded of the time when I was looking through one of my copies of Vogue magazine.  One thing that was very prevalent was this- each designer displayed their own unique style.  Their creativity was boldly exhibited as they dared to be different.  Not one of the designers attempted to copy or to mirror the ideas or handiwork of their fellow artists.  Something else that was very obvious was the fact that it didn’t matter who did or didn’t appreciate, applaud or accept their creations – they still dared to be that original designer; and they used their creative ability to the fullest.

We must remember that God has not created any cubic zirconia gems!  What is a cubic zirconia gem?

Ø  It is an imposter, an imitator and an impressionist in the realm of the spirit.

Ø  It is one who pretends to be something that they are not. 

Ø  It is one who thinks that they must walk, talk, shout, preach, etc. - exactly like someone else. 

Ø  It is one who has failed to realize that God has created them to be an original…designed just for Him – and not the carbon copy of another.

Ø   It is one who has permitted the enemy to convince them to participate in actions of “self – sabotage”; therefore making themselves of no threat to his kingdom!

So.... I challenge you to dare to be unique!  Not arrogant, boastful, or heady; but boldly confident in whom God has created you to be.  We must always adhere and conform to EVERYTHING that God has spoken and had recorded in our Bible.  If we are going to be successful as endtime warriors – we must decide to give the Holy Spirit permission to use our creative ability.   Why settle for being a cheap copy – when you can be a costly original? Come from behind that mask and refuse to be hindered any longer in those areas where you sense insecurity!  God is waiting for you to begin to display what He has placed in you.

No one can beat you at being you.  The world needs what the Lord has placed inside of you.  Be determine to a authentic diamond (maybe still needing to be refined – but that’s okay!) and not a cubic zirconia gem.  Remember….The time is now….. and the person is YOU!

Virtues of Victory

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

                                                                                                            I John 5:4

What is victory?  How is it determined?  Listed below are some of the foundational concepts or the Virtues of Victory.

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a vision; a mental image of my future state. 

                       “Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit increase by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening.

                  Therefore to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly and powerfully intensify every  

                   area of my life.

                 “ But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make  

                  progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;  Jude 20

                  (AMP)

C -    Concentrate – To ponder; to muse; to deliberate.  Concentration requires an ability to

                 focus.  Victory is never accomplished by one who has loss their ability to maintain  

                 their focus.

                “And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on    

                 the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2

T -    Trust – Confidence or conviction.  To gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels

                from the inside out.

                “Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life.”  

                   Psalm 146:3 (MSG).  Also  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5

O -   Opposition – Hostile or contrary action or condition.   Except the fact that there will always

                  be oppositions; some will edify, some will challenge and all which emanate from the    

                   kingdom of darkness are sent to destroy.  However.. every opposition will produce

                  victory… if permitted to run its course!

                “....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the

                  world.” John 16:33

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.

                  To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.

                   Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

Y -   Yoked -   Joined, fasten to, connected to.  To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive

                 burden; and only become yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s

                plan and purposes for my life.

               “….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

We can also observe that the letter “Y” is the last letter in the word victory.  The shape of this letter reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

Paul explained it like this: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”?  The answer: The ability to expand my Vision; to aggressively Intensify every area of my life; to maintain my Concentration; to continually build and fortify my Trust channels; to expect Opposition, to obey the Rules and to be Yoked to Kingdom Principles!

Simply Trust God!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”           II Chronicles 7:14

WOW!! Another tragedy resulting in lives loss, victims injured and mass confusion! The lives of hundreds of people has been permanently altered by the actions of one. So as we recant and reflect on: the global devastating conditions that are still present after the onset of the hurricanes and earthquakes, the results of the presidential election, recent occurrences of terrorism, national outbreaks of police brutality, etc., many people here in America are overly concerned about what they are hearing and observing.  People were wondering what is going to occur next.  Will the nation’s government continue to be governed by someone who appears to be totally incompetent and biased in their decisions or will it even experience a major shutdown?  Will people be expected to work and not receive their wages, nor maintain the ability to purchase necessary items… or will they be forced to amend their life styles? What about the resources that have been for the hurricane victims that are available – yet they are not being released to them?  Many people are now becoming anxious and asking, Lord, what will happen? 

Well.. I just need to remind you that it matters not what the President may conclude nor his actions, nor the impact that our judicial system may have on the economy; nor the display of terrorism or police injustice that may transpire; nor the actions of those whose minds are leading them to seek revenge in public places… we cannot permit the spirit of fear to invade our spirits!   It matters not who our president is nor the negative situations which are occurring  …… Our response must be, “I’ll simply trust God”.  We must always remain cognizant of the fact that the Bible must be fulfilled.  Therefore, there are circumstances and situations that MUST transpire.  However within my spirit I must imprint the following statement….                “I’ll simply trust God”!

The Bible is full of example after example depicting how the Lord moved on behalf of His people – when they trusted Him.  However when we decide to lean to our own understanding – disaster will be our fate.  God’s word is always true and will always prevail in every situation – if we remain faithful to it.  Now is not the time to “throw in the towel” and give up.  Now is the time to put to work all that you have studied and learned about the Lord.  Now is the time to prove the Lord’s faithfulness and to take him at His word.

To trust is to:

T – Turn: Turn from the negative reflections and the opinions of those who are not adhering to

      what God has decreed. (I Corinthians 15:33 & 34)

R – Rest:  Rest in the promises of God. Cast your cares on Him. (I Peter 5:7)

U – Uproot: Uproot…. Go to the source of whatever is attempting to choke out my peace; attack

       the root not the fruit!  Remember.. It’s a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12)

S – Stand: Stand on what the Lord has said.  Gird up the loins of your mind and stand! (I Peter

      1:13)

T – Transform: Transform my vocabulary by renewing my mind; so that I will only speak faith

       filled words.   (Proverbs 18:21)

Therefore it matters not what our judicial system decides….we must chose to operate according to a system which is superior to that system.  We must walk according to the mandates of God’s kingdom.  When we walk governed by kingdom principles; we will be the recipients of His kingdom blessings – and we will have available to us His kingdom provision… REGARDLESS.

Refuse to engulf the spirit of fear that is attempting to invade many at this time.  God’s promises are true and remember…

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”  Numbers 23:19

Our hope….. and our trust MUST be in Him!  So again I reiterate ….. SIMPLY TRUST GOD!!!

Judgment is Initiated By You

“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log that is in your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when there is the log in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.”  Matthew 7:3-5 (ESV)

This year Yom Kippur 2017 begins on tonight and will conclude on tomorrow evening.  Today marks the end of an extremely relevant time in the lives of our Jewish brothers and sisters.  It is known as the Day of Atonement.  Without getting into too much detail, this time frame began about ten day ago with the celebration of Rosh Hashanah.  Rosh Hashanah ushered in a ten-day period known as “The Day of Awe”; a time that begins a period of judgment and repentance.  

So today is a day of not just fasting; but also a day of intense prayer.  Now, although we may not observe all of the rituals which are involved with the celebrating of Yom Kippur; we can most certainty come into alignment with the observance of “a time of fasting and intense prayer”, and of seeking the face of God for areas in our lives where we are still not totally surrendered to Him. 

The Hebraic Year "5778: The Church Must Arise! Angelic Hosts Will Take Us Through the Door!" said Chuck Pierce.  So now is still the time to; Go beyond your present connections, Go beyond your last place of repentance, and Go beyond the understanding of you call.

So since this is the year when the Church must arise – we must intensely –  judge and examine ourselves.  Eliminate anything that will prevent us from “going beyond” our present conditions.  Examine your motives, your actions and your sincere thoughts.  Judge your ambitions.  Judge your heartfelt concerns with regards to your family, your neighborhood, your state, your country and the world.  Arise above your current limitations!

It’s great to THINK outside of the box.  However, now is the time to permit our actions to come into alignment with our thinking and begin to develop an “out of the box” relationship with the Lord that will permit us to “arise”.  He desires to do the “greater” through us; however we must begin to execute a plan of judgment on ourselves that will uproot and eliminate all of the unnecessary baggage in our lives.

Lastly remember God institutes judgment not condemnation!  His judgment is always motivated by His unconditional love and is expressed only in an attempt to enlighten us of our short comings; and to push us to our next place in Him.  So see this day of atonement as an access to your new springs and judge yourself…. to free yourself…. that you may walk therein.

“However, as it is written: "What no eye has seen, what no ear has heard, and what no human mind has conceived" -- the things God has prepared for those who love him. OH NO! Not This Time!!!

“Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore, get wisdom; and in all thy getting, get understanding”. Proverbs 4:7

Today we appear to be forever learning – but never gleaning the proper understanding.  The Lord desires for us to remember and to understand three things;

1.     WHO He is

2.     WHAT He is doing

3.     WHY He is allowing us to encounter certain situations and circumstances.

Knowledge gives FACTS, but UNDERSTANDING permits me to properly apply the meanings of the facts that I’ve learned.  (…And all facts are not TRUTH!)  Many times we are experiencing the same situations over and over again.  This is usually because we haven’t gleaned the wisdom that’s necessary to understand WHO God is; WHAT He is doing and the WHY of His actions.  Therefore, when circumstances unexpectedly become adverse; we become frustrated, anxious, angry and/or discouraged.

Knowledge gives us Information but Understanding yields Principles; Knowledge impacts our memory but understanding impacts our reasoning; Knowledge builds scholars but Understanding creates teachers.

SO, this time when I’m confronted with the same situations….again… my response will reflect that I’m truly in a different place.  Since I don’t just have information but I now have an understanding of WHO, WHAT and WHY….I will emerge from every situation as “more than a conqueror”.  No matter what the opposition – I can tell the enemy..... OH NO – Not This Time!

In Mark 13:7 in the amplified version

“⁷And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not get alarmed (troubled and frightened); it is necessary [that these things] take place, but the end is not yet.”

⁸For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines and calamities. This is but the beginning of the ^[a]intolerable anguish and suffering [only the first of the ^[b]birth pangs].

So when the next major calamity comes that shook us like “9 -11” did; when the next hurricane comes and wipes another island out to seas; when the next richter scale shattering earthquake surfaces;….our response will not be one of fear and frustration.  We will maintain our focus – and tell the enemy…OH NO – Not This Time!  My response and my reactions will declare to the enemy that I now understand the Who, What and the Why of God.

When sickness comes to visit again….because I now understand Isaiah 53:5 – I will stand and declare, OH NO.. Not This Time!

If finances become questionable, because I’m a tither and understand Malachi 3:11 - I can say OH NO.. No This Time.

When Loneliness knocks at my door – I can open the door with Deuteronomy 31:6.

When disappointments and tribulations arise… Romans 8:38 & 39 will be response… And Whatever the enemy may throw my way, because I now have the proper understanding….I will use my God given authority, which is always based in His Word; and boldly proclaim …OH NO.. Not This Time!

Someone summarized it this way:

One day heartaches will be over -  But Today we have God’s COMFORT,

One day pain will be no more, TODAY God is saying My GRACE is sufficient,

One day there will be no more burdens, but TODAY we have His Strength,

One day I will possess everything that I need, but TODAY Live by Faith,

One day I will understand EVERYTHING… BUT TODAY I TRUST His actions!

Yes.. Prayer is the KEY…FAITH unlocks the door….But a proper UNDERSTANDING will give me the ACCESS and the WISDOM to OPEN that door and allow me to tell the enemy… OH NO, NOT THIS TIME!

Turbulence Onboard?? ... Adjust your Altitude!

 ^“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.”  Romans 5:3-5 AMP

Simply because God has called us to walk in and to live by a lifestyle that is governed by His statues, promises and provision; our walk should be quite different from the walk of most of the people which we encounter on a daily basis.   Our walk should be different because we have learned the art of how to handle those unexpected, yet expected bumps in the road.  Our walk should be different because we have learned that every situation in our lives has been preordained by our Master Pilot – who is always on board.  Therefore, when any type of “turbulence” arises – we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization!

There are various types of turbulence which may occur at any given time.  Certain types are only typical to specific elements and environments.  Therefore because we are all different, we will all experience various elements which have been individualized just for us.  The degree of turbulence is dependent upon various factors.  However, it doesn’t matter… whatever the level or type of turbulence that may appear –again; I reiterate:  we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization.

Sometimes we can experience turbulence because we are “flying to low”.  In other words we have become too comfortable in our spiritual walk.  We are not advancing… we are simply standing in the same place, in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore God has to “upset our apple cart”.  He has to permit some type of contrary wind to blow to force us to get out of our comfort zone. .. and to progress or advance in our ministry, calling or giftings.

Then there may be times when we experience turbulence because we are flying in the wrong direction.  We have become like Jonah and decided that WE know what’s best… and that God really doesn’t have a clue in this day and age what’s of value!  So He (God) has to permit a little turbulence to get us back on course.  Or we may be flying in the wrong direction because we are not spiritually alert and have not noticed that the winds have shifted in the realm of the spirit.  Our spiritual radars have become out of sync and are not detecting the diabolical plots, plans and schemes correctly…. Therefore we are flying in the wrong direction AND can’t even detect it!

Then, there may be times when we are moving at the correct speed.  The conditions are “A- one”, and a turbulent wind comes for no apparent reason.  During these times our Master Pilot is simply testing us.  Not to see what we will do – for He is omniscient.. and  already knows all things.  His testing is permitting us and our adversary to see the advancements that we have made.  God is giving satan permission to try us as He gave him the permission to try Job.  (Although Job still had a lot of issues!) Yes, sometimes God is permitting us to be placed on an open display for others to see His handiwork in us!

God wants us to be so totally dependent upon His love for us; that we will experience EVERY turbulent situation without even knowing or negatively acknowledging that it has occurred!

We’ve often heard the statement, “Mind Over Matter”.  Although not a biblical statement – it can have biblical implications.  There are various scriptures that refer to “the mind”.  When we learn the process of mind renewal; and when we learn to let the mind of Christ govern us – then… whatever turbulent winds may arise – we will quickly and automatically adjust our altitude …. And continue to soar as an eagle. 

In this season let’s be more focused on our spiritual radars.   Ask God for the manifestation of a sharper and keener degree of discernment on today than that of yesterday.    Be determined that as you advance in this season, you will do so….so absorbed in who He is that whatever occurs, and whenever it occurs, you will peacefully and calmly ride through your turbulent winds. 

Stay so in tuned with God your Master Pilot and His love for you that every negative or turbulent wind will not cause you to fret or become overly concerned….. You will simply adjust your altitude to the degree, that will bring you back to stabilization and you will continue to journey on!

So, whenever the turbulent winds occur always adjust your altitude.  Remember that the first rule of thumb is to remain calm.  Stay so connected to the Lord that nothing will totally “catch” you off guard.   Next, know that the endurance of turbulent winds is only temporary.   Refuse to worry.  Stand firmly on the Word of God who is always our very PRESENT help in the time of every storm.  Lastly, learn from every storm and turbulent condition how to progress through the next turbulent occurrence (because it will arise!)

God’s Assurance

“Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.”  Hebrews 10:22

We can always excel in every area of our lives.  This is possible once we become certain and assured of who God really is.  Sometimes we seem to forget that once we are assured of our status with God – we can’t fail in anything that we endeavor to accomplish. 

This prayer of Assurance can assist us to affirm and acknowledge our dependency on the Lord; and sustain our confidence in Him.

Lord God, I thank you for the Spirit of Assurance.  Your word verifies that true assurance in you is the attribute that will permit me to overcome every obstacle in these last days.

A full blessed assurance in you validates the fact that because of your sovereign love for me - nothing, nothing, No Thing - that occurs today in my life will cause a detour in your divine will for me.  My assurance, my firm conviction in you mandates that I exercise my blood bought authority this day, to walk above the circumstances of life.  I will never again release from my mouth that I am under, beneath or a victim to my present conditions nor the world’s systems.

Your word assures me and reveals to me who you are, your very nature.  Your word   reveals to me that the things seen are temporal; moveable, mutable, unable to withstand, and subject to environmental conformation.  Therefore, I am assured, that as I absorb, soak up and permit only your word to infiltrate my spirit - then and then only will I have the ability to rise above and remain above my circumstances.

 My assurance in you decrees that I will not leave this life prematurely.  My assurance in you decrees that I have the ability now to stand in the midst of adversity and command your presence to prevail.

I thank you for your assurance that I AM a “King’s Kid”; an heir, a joint heir with Christ.  I am of a royal priesthood, divinely anointed and appointed for this time - groomed and adorned by you, Lord God; totally for you Lord.

Again, I reiterate ….  I am assured that I can only excel! Therefore, because of this assurance that I know I can never, never, never be defeated!

Identity Crisis

“But you are a chosen race, a royal priesthood, a dedicated nation, [God’s] own purchased, special people, that you may set forth the wonderful deeds and display the virtues and perfections of Him Who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.  I Peter 2:9 AMP

Today, if we were to take a poll; we would discover that far too many people who profess to believe the Bible to be God’s unadulterated Word; don’t fully comprehend its total message.   Therefore as a result, the entire world is suffering and operating at a level which is inferior or subordinate to its ultimate ability.

We, the body of Christ, appear to be impaired by not knowing the power nor the authority that we possess. We have been limited in our abilities simply because we don’t know who we really are.  In others words we have been constrained by an Identity Crisis.

An identity crisis can occur when a person, or a group of people fail to recognize the relevancy of their innate characteristics and proceed to function from a position of their mental comprehension.  Their lives are governed from the sensory ream instead of the spiritual ream. As a result, those people who are supposed to be displaying the superior characteristics of being the head; are exhibiting the inferior features of the tail.  Those who are called to be that light which shines so brightly in EVERY situation or circumstance; attempt to blend into this world and its customs, ideologies, and methodologies.  Therefore, WE have hindered ourselves simply because …as Hosea expresses; have a lack of knowledge of who we are…. And we are being destroyed!

I would like to challenge you today to think, walk and talk “outside of your box”.  God has begun to catapult us into our wealthy places.  He has begun to permit the return… with interest… of all that we have lost.  However, unless we break this mold of the Identity Crisis; we will not have the ability to maintain our returns.  Refuse to walk in the footprints of yesterday.  Be determined to advance your current status daily.   Change something, enhance your vocabulary and increase yourself in some capacity daily.  Seek the wisdom of the Holy Ghost for guidance.  Remember, God has a great work for YOU to accomplish. However, you must begin to suffer no longer from the effects of an Identity Crisis; but to walk as God’s authoritative voice in and on the earth…. Knowing who you are and whose you are!

FEAR BE GONE!!! ©2003

 Father God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, - but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door. I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again. 

I will now begin the process to renew my mind – daily.  I will develop a new appetite which desires your decreed will for my life – freed from every diabolical hindrance.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

Your Axe-head Will Float Again

(Read: II Kings 6:1-7)

This story as recorded in II Kings has always been among one of my favorites.  Today we will not even be able to “scratch the surface” to reveal all that can be gleaned from the examples and principles provided in this story.  However, we’ll probably come back to it at a later date.

The focus for this meditation is the servant.  He was: working, in the right place, doing what he was instructed to do, using the proper tool and appearing to be accomplishing the task that was required of him.  However, all of a sudden – he was faced with a dilemma.  The very tool that he was using for advancement – which wasn’t even his, (he had borrowed it) – had vanished into the river – never to return again…. So he thought.

When you are faced with a dilemma – who is your first line of defense?  Many times we turn to a spouse, friend, colleague or family member.  Our servant in this story cried to his master.  He cried to someone who had the wisdom, faith and the solution to recover for him what he had lost. Therefore, our first lesson learned from this servant is: my first line of defense should be my Master…. prayerfully  that would be our Lord.

As we proceed through the story we reference the axehead.  This tool can represent any tool (or weapon), that’s necessary for me to be effective as I attempt to advance.  Or any tool (or weapon) used to bring down, cut down or cut through diabolical plans or natural road blocks.  The servant had temporarily lost sight of his weapon.  However with the proper guidance, and instruction, he was able to see the return of his valuable tool.  So, just remember that your situation isn’t hopeless; no matter how it may appear to you. 

It is only when we are in the proper place; receiving the proper supervision; anchored by the proper support and obeying the instructions which are given to us - that we will be able to cause our “axehead” to float again.

The servant had to DO something.   He didn’t just sit and weep about his situation.  He didn’t just tell his friends or colleagues. He told his MASTER! He told someone who had the wisdom to correct the dilemma, and the power to bring about the recovery of want he had lost.  The servant may have had faith, however “Faith” without corresponding actions – is dead.

As we are in this season of recovery; expect your axehead to float again.  Expect every weapon that is needed for your advancement in this season to be recovered.  Expect the outcome of every situation that appears to be impossible, receive an immediate reversal.

 So go now and recover your axehead – but don’t do it your way (leaning to your own understanding!). You must listen to and adhere to the voice of your Master!  You must listen to the voice of wisdom….which may be delivered to you by God directly through His word or by someone who can provide you with the careful and watchful guidance. 

Your axehead will float again.  However you must be in the proper place, listening to the voice of your Master and doing only that which is relevant in this season for your recovery.

 The Day of Illumination

Lord may I permit your light to shine through me—REGARDLESS.

To summarize the concept of “Illumination”, we could state that illumination is when God, through the working Holy Spirit conveys to us an understanding of a revealed Bible truth.  

So today, Lord I ask that you illuminate every area of my mind that appears to be dark - void of understanding.   Your Son has come to us as our Light; as our path to understanding your desires for us.  Today may I seek Holy Spirit as never before for a fuller revelation of who you truly are…. For without revelation I will have no illumination. 

I ask that you Lord God, my JEHOVAH ORI; as a result of my daily meditational period with you; implant within me the tenacity to seek your face for true illumination.  May I never fall prey to the ideologies, concepts, and endtime thought patterns that have been released from the kingdom of darkness.  If I must stand seemly alone; let me never compromise or keep hidden the illuminated revelations that you have given to me.  My effectiveness as an endtime warrior will only be maintained if I seek you daily for an amended illumination of my previously learned strategies. 

May I realize that just because it’s a new season, that fact alone won’t assure me of receiving your “multidimensional” illuminations.  Lord, illuminate and enlarge my territory…. - the territory of my mind, which will produce new imaginations, a new in-depth vision and a new thirst.  Illuminate and enlarge the territory of communications; thus eliminating all non-productive and hindering connections and relationships.   Illuminate and enlarge the territory of my resources; enabling the release of, access to and the manifestation of those hidden treasures which are so necessary for this season.

Lord may I permit your LIGHT to shine through me, so that I may then in return, share with others an increased measure of wisdom, revelation knowledge and endtime strategies. May my newly received illuminated status, permit me to no longer be biased towards ANY concept that would encourage me to limit my ability to extend your unconditional love to everyone. 

As an additional advantage of your illumination, may I be reassured that you have created, anointed and appointed me….. for such a time as this.  I will not waste time – but will now aggressively pursue your intended plans and purposes for my life. 

Thank you, Jehovah Ori, for all that will be revealed to me as I embrace the benefits of my new illumination! 

The Worshipper’s Praise

“Your God is present among you a strong Warrior there to save you.  Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love and delight you with his songs”. Zephaniah 3:17

Although we all; who have breath in our bodies; are required to praise the Lord (Psalm 150:6); there is a type of praise that when offered, permits the presence of the Lord to enthrone us…. A type of praise that can only be released from a submitted vessel.  Psalm 22 references this type of praise. 

The Hebrew word “Tehillah” is one of the seven expressions for the word praise.  This type of praise is what we commonly refer to as singing in the Spirit.  The Tehillah praise is what I refer to as a “worshipper’s praise”. It’s typically referred to as spontaneous singing from your spirit.  Psalm 22:3 states, “Yet Thou art holy, O Thou who art enthroned upon the praises (tehillah) of Israel” (NIV).  The King James Version states: “But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel”.

It is the Tehillah type of praise which can only be uttered when one is in a state of total: submission, humility and reverence to the Lord.  This type of praise, will usher in the inhabitation of the Lord’s presence.  It is this type of praise that will grant us the privilege of and the ability to, receive a personal audience with the Lord of Lord and the King of Kings.  Is it this type of praise that Zephaniah references. It is this type of praise that would be considered “inner court” praise…. And it is this type of praise that will permit us to have a disciplined ear; an ear which will have the ability to hear the Lord’s song.

Learn to sing in the Spirit.  Learn to enter into this type of praise on a regular basis.  The ability to remain focused in the face of adversity is related to the amount of discipline that we are able to achieve.  Discipline is a precursor to one’s ability to offer a reverential praise unto the Lord.    It is this type of praise that will result in our ability to maintain a level of peace and calmness in the midst of every storm. Let your ultimate goal be to offer unto the Lord a type of reverential praise that will demand His attention!

Therefore, when I have learned how to offer a Tehillah praise; I will have also gained the ability to not only impact my daily walk – but will be equipped with the endurance, and composure to walk above every circumstance in this life….  And to immediately recognize and bring to naught every diabolical plot, plan and scheme….. PROactively!

It is only when I have ascended in praise that I can now descend in power, purpose and perseverance.

 
I shall confess you, Lord Jehovah, from my whole heart; in front of Kings I shall sing praise to you! (Aramaic Bible in Plain English)
