Right Connections

Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.                                                 John 7:24 Amplified Version

As we search throughout the scriptures, we can observe that the relationships which people were involved in were of grave importance.  Therefore we might realize the significance of becoming associated with and connected to the right people. 

Connections should be for the purpose of increase.  Therefore I should be either the provider or the receiver – but increase is a must.  Wrong, non-productive relationships would be considered one of those “weights which does so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1). 

So let’s consider some of our connections.  What do our: friends, acquaintances, religious and secular group memberships reveal?  Are there any connections where I am currently not being increased – or increasing someone else?  Some connections are temporary; seasonal - while others maintain the ability to perpetually be an asset to us in some fashion.   When we don’t know the purpose for a relationship, nor have considered its nature – we will attempt to cling on to and transform those “passing connections” into permanent ones.

We are in the era now where everyone seems to want to “network”. Everywhere you go people are wanting to connect. This can be advantageous as well as detrimental.   We must be on our guard at all times and realize that every good connection may not be a God connection. 

God has given us to the ability to be sociable creatures.  We therefore need connections.  However, we must be certain that every connection will be constructive and offer increase, integrity, stamina and above all receive a stamp of approval from the Lord.

Who’s In Charge?

Are YOU Still The C.E.O.?

Read: Proverbs 3

In corporate America many have the desire; expressed or unexpressed; to become the Chief Executive Officer (C.E.O.) of a particular establishment.  They think that they have the ability to maintain the degree of assertiveness, and stability that accompany such a title.   Some also like the prestige that they feel this position would warrant them.  

In the business arena, a company can’t function properly under the direction and leadership of an ill-advised, immature and inadequately prepared C.E.O.  The fate of such a business is never one that will yield a positive return.  It doesn’t matter how weighty the potential of its employees; their ability to excel or to benefit greatly, will be significantly diminished because of the incompetence of the C.E.O.

The same holds true in the realm of the spirit.   Far too often we are wondering why we haven’t reached certain plateaus in life.  We wonder why things appear to be “sailing high” for a while – and then they seem to plunge or take a spiral twist downward. 

Could the possible reason be that YOU are still attempting to govern your life from the position of the C.E.O.?  Are YOU still inadvertently calling the shots and establishing the rules?  Have YOU decided that the rules that have been tried and proven; established centuries ago; and really required for your success are just too rigid?

Let’s take a quick inventory.  In the area of showing compassion; is it shown to everyone, or do you pick and choose to whom you will display acts of kindness (refer to Ephesians 4:32)?  What about studying and memorizing the Word of God (refer to Ps. 119:11)?  Are you still memorizing your sword on a regular basis – or do you think that’s just for those new converts?  What about in monetary giving – above that menial 10% that is required as a tithe (refer to Malachi 3:10)?   Isn’t it interesting that many will only give unto the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings 10% - and feel as those they have accomplished a great task….when even the worst waitress  receives at least 15%?!   How about the visitation of those who are; incarcerated, homebound, in nursing homes, in juvenile detention centers etc.?  What about in the area of assisting the widows, orphans, single parents, and the elderly? (refer to Matthew 25:31-46)

The above listing is very abbreviated.   However when the Lord is in control; when He is the true C.E.O. of our lives; He will make certain that our lives are being lived according to the ground rules that He has established for us.  Many times a particular task may seem too difficult.  Many times we will eagerly say that we weren’t “called” to function in a specific area.  However, we are all called to relinquish the position as the head of our lives.  When God is truly the C.E.O. of our lives He will lead and guide our every step.  Although our walk will experience “seasonal” changes – each season will occur under the careful and productive hand of the Lord; and be productive– when He is the C.E.O.

So don’t hastily say that the Lord is in control of your life and that He is “first in my life”.  I feel as though we all have an area (or maybe areas!) where we haven’t totally and graciously surrendered the reins.  Ask Him to reveal it (them) to you.  Then ask Him for the wisdom and direction needed to totally place Him in control. 

Yes it’s a new day in the realm of the spirit.  So embrace the “newness” by allowing a shifting of the guards.   Permit a new C.E.O. to come on board…..and when He comes, permit Him to replace EVERYTHING that is not in accord with what He deems beneficial.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.”  Proverbs 3:5&6

Can You Distinguish Your Sound?

“And when you shall HEAR the sound of marching in the top of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.”  I Chronicles 14:15

Today the Lord, our Baal Perazim (the God of Breakthrough) is confirming His position in our current battle.  Just as He was with David, He is reminding us that His wisdom still supersedes that of the adversary. 

When reading this story in I Chronicles (or II Samuel) we discovered that Baal Perazim required  David’s response  to be quick and at precisely the right time.  Let’s consider David’s responsibility.

1.     David had to know the voice of the Lord.

2.     David had to remain alert and attentive in the realm of the spirit.

3.     David had to already have his weapons and be positioned offensively.

When we attempt to correlate this story to our daily lives, we must remember that:

1.     David sought the Lord for direction prior to the onset of the battle.

2.     The Lord went before David and “Broke Through” the front line of the enemy’s defense.

3.     Whatever the Lord has done before, He still has the power to do again.

I found it interesting that David was told to LISTEN for a certain sound. If we are going to know exactly when to advance, conquer and reclaim our territory; then we must critique or fine tune our ability to recognize a specific sound. Far too often we are listening to and following the wrong sound!  For example, David was instructed to listen for - the sound of marching; ( a specific sound).

Next, the sound was in a designated pace - the tree tops.  Not on the ground, nor in the air, but in the top of the trees.  Lastly, David was told the type of trees from which the specific sound was to resonate. 

So because Baal Perazim had already preceded David, he (David) was able to be victorious.

Our God is still operating as Baal Perazim today.  He has broken through enemy territory and is permitting us to recover all!  But we must LISTEN for our specific marching orders.

Don’t permit a delay in your recovery because you didn’t hear or recognize voice of God concerning His specific instructions, advising you how and when to advance - and recover all!

The wealth of the wicked IS ours; however, we must adhere to the precise, explicit instructions from the Lord if we are to be privy to it!

Just as David did…. Seek the face of God, Listen for the Sound, and March your way to victory!  

I’m Successful!

But… How Do YOU Measure Success?

“Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart.”  Psalm 37:4

The word success is one of those words whose meaning is understood or established by the intent of its user.  Therefore, because everyone has pre-determined differently their own set of aims, goals and purposes – we can agree as well as disagree on what we deem to be successful.

In this era it is imperative that we “re-determine” who and what we use as our “plum-line” to measure success.  Our overall motives must be geared more towards the eternal than the temporal.  In other words; it’s time for us to permit our spiritual weightiness to dominate our physical.  We should deem it of greater importance that we are recognized in the realm of the spirit – than in the physical realm. 

Think about it.  When you arise in the morning; even prior to getting out of your bed; what impact have you made in the realm of the spirit?  What level of success did you achieve even prior to entering into your devotional time with the Lord?

To accomplish any plateau of success, one must realize that their future estate hangs upon the decisions that they permit their minds to develop and conclude.  Therefore, I must realize that if I utilize the definition that the world deems for “success” to govern my life; I might not avail myself to gleaning the best of life.  (Romans 12:1&2).  In my every endeavor – I have been successful.  Now, some people may disagree – and that’s their opinion.  However, in every situation I have been increased in wisdom and have gleaned from the experience – therefore success has been achieved.  My initial goal might not have been accomplished; but I’ve learned from that endeavor….. and a level of success has been received!

Prayerfully re-consider your goals; long term, intermediate and short term.  Never permit the enemy to convince you that you can’t accomplish and exceed whatever your dreams may include (Ephesians 3:20).  If you can dream it – you CAN accomplish it! (Philippians 4:13)

 Lastly, don’t become apprehensive about seeking the advice of those who have already accomplished something similar to what you are attempting to embark upon or achieve.  Be determined and develop a sense of tenacity that will endure – REGARDLESS! The first person that you ask might not be the person that the Lord has decreed to assist you…. But don’t be a quitter! History has revealed that most of the accomplished writers, inventors, musician, etc. were once told by “professionals” that they would never make it…. BUT GOD…….!!!!!

Every level of success is achieved when YOU have accomplished the intent that YOU… governed by the Holy Spirit have pre-determined.

Remember: The sky is not the limit……. You have no limitations…. You have been freed to excel….. You have been equipped to soar and You have been destined for success! REGARDLESS!!!!!!!

“Commit your work to the Lord, and your plans will be established.” Proverbs 16:3 (ESV)

Lord… You are my Ultimate Deliverer!!

“JEHOVAH MEPHALTI”

“Surely you shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisesome pestilence” Psalm 91:3

The Bible displays at least four concepts for the word deliverance. 

Briefly: (1) "to deliver out of the hands of..., to escape." We can find this example in the Hebrew word Natsal (Strong's #5337)

(2) "drawing someone to one's self." - Rhuomai (Strong's #4506)

(3) "to deliver into the hands of...for the purpose of judgment."  -  Nathan (Strong's #5414)

(4) "to have ample space between oneself and one's enemies." Yasha (Strong's #3467)

Therefore today we can stand assured that whatever our need is concerning deliverance; our Jehovah Mephalti is well able to manifest it.  When we combine the four definitions above we can comprehend that our God will not only rescue of His people from the dominion of Satan and the world system, but in the process of rescuing and delivering from; He will draw and deliver us unto Himself.  One commentary summarizes the entire process as:  “To be removed by God from the hand of the enemy and drawn close to Himself, from which position God places us in confrontation with the enemy on God’s own terms, in order for us to gain victory and defeat the enemy, and to experience freedom from oppression in an ample and secure place.”

As you seek your Jehovah Mephalti today, ask Him to reveal to you the areas in your life where total deliverance has not yet occurred - as well as any obstacles and road blocks that are still preventing you from obtaining your total victories. 

Also remember, just because you haven’t physically SEEN; the manifestation of deliverance in specific areas; that doesn’t indicate that the process hasn’t begun.  This realm has its limitations and can’t reveal the true essence of the situation.  We must continue to walk by faith and not by sight.  We must learn the art of adjusting our thought patterns so that our words will not delay the manifested presence, or evidence of the deliverances, that we have sought the Lord for.  

So just remember: EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING, EVERYTHING was conquered at Calvary!  No more lack in any area of my being or estate! You must consistently say “I’m Delivered…. And have been made whole…..All because of my JEHOVAH MEPHALTI”!

I’ve Got To Get Out of My Comfort Zone…

So, I’ll Get Out Of The Boat….But Stand On The Rock!

There have been quite a few popular books published expounding on the concept of getting out of the boat.   However today, we are going to “kick it up a notch”.  Getting out of the boat is the initial step.  So what’s the next step?   STANDING ON THE ROCK!!!

Just to recant; the basis for this perception of getting out of the boat is referenced in the book of St. Matthew 14:23-33.  When we refer to this story we are informed that it is the fourth watch.  Now, the fourth watch was the final watch.  That’s when Jesus showed up!  So today….because we are in the “final watch”…therefore, we can expect Jesus to show up in our situations – at any time. SUDDENLY!!!  Look for Jesus! He will show up! (We’ll discuss this in detail at a later date.)

So, what does getting out of the boat entail? Basically, first, it means that I must move beyond the arena where I know that I can excel.  I must advance from the level where I have already acquired a certain degree of knowledge and where I feel as though I can “tread the water”……my comfort zone!  I must now begin to exercise my faith and to venture into those areas within in me….that are still “uncharted waters”.  We all have within us gifts and callings which have yet to be developed.  As I explained in a previous lesson…. discover your “Untapped Potential”.   

To begin to discover my untapped potential; I have to come to the realization, that I must make a conscious decision to step out of my boat…my own will, emotions, gifts etc..  Next, I must come into an agreement with the mind of God and into the next phase of the purpose that He has for my life.  To get out of the boat means that I have to relinquish the pillars of my education, past experiences and acquired knowledge … and rely totally on God.  In other words….I must learn to stand solely on the promises of God.  He must become my only Rock. 

To get out of the boat and to stand on the rock requires me to: maintain my focus, increase my fortitude and to anchor myself in the Word of God.

As I stand…like Peter, I must: Ask, Seek and Wait.  Peter first asked, “Lord is it you?”. Therefore, before you just jump out of your boat – know whose voice is calling you!   Next, always seek the face of God for instruction, wisdom and direction.  Lastly, learn to “Wait” for the manifestation of His divine presence. Peter’s decision to advance out of the boat came after direct instructions from the voice of the Lord in response to his questions.  Jesus told him specifically two things.  Be not afraid and come.

Today, we are still being instructed to: take courage, be not afraid, and get out of the boat…..but to stand on the Rock.  I am reminded of two hymns (for those of you who still remember what there are!).  The first is, “In Times Like These”.   The chorus (the vamp) said, “Be sure, be very sure your anchor holds and grips that solid Rock”.  The other hymn is, “My Hope is Built”. 

In conclusion, to get out of the boat and stand on the rock I must have: a made up mind (Philippians 2:5); persistence (I Corinthians 15:58), and above all an expressed level of unwavering faith (James 1:6-8).

My Hope is built on nothing less; Than Jesus’ blood and righteousness,

I dare not trust the sweetest frame, But wholly lean on Jesus’ name

Reach Beyond the Break….And Keep It Moving!!!

 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed ; we are perplexed , but not in despair ; 9 Persecuted , but not forsaken ; cast down , but not destroyed ;  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.                      II Corinthians 4: 8-10

As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us - trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us - he lives!

Life has a way of introducing “interruptions” which usually are unexpected and have a tendency to throw us off course for a second.  The Lord wants to remind us that whatever causes a break in our daily flow should only present a momentary pause.  We must reach beyond that break …and keep it moving!  Delays are many times unavoidable.  However, a delay must only present a “comma” in our lives – and not a “period”. Whatever the break….. Reach beyond every break and keep it moving.

Below I’ve added another prayer.  Be blessed and always remember never stop, never quit,  never give up or give in – reach beyond that break…..and KEEP IT MOVING!!!

Power To Press Beyond

Father in Jesus’ name, I thank you for the innate force within me that prompts me to seek a deeper revelation of you.

For my only desire in pressing beyond this realm is to obtain a greater insight of you and your solemnness; thus, enabling me to not walk on the surface, but to have available to me those hidden, partially revealed spiritual treasures that are vital at this time.  These “jewels” are required for me to excel and will afford me the opportunity to properly lead others.

Lord God, I thank you that I have learned to persevere and to press beyond the obstacles, the road blocks and the detour signs - the hidden snares designed to delay your divine will for my life.  Thank you for the courage to press; - that courage which is required to recognize and discern; to subdue and call to naught every demonic and satanic force sent to oppose me on every level.  I now know how to press through and not request that you to remove from me difficult situations.  For I recognize that all of these have been foreordained for my advancement.

Since you have told me that the best is in the press, I will press into you at any cost.   I will press beyond the feelings of defeat, frustration, adversity and opposition. I will press beyond the spirits of despair, dejection and rejection.  I have learned that I must press beyond any of the feelings in my flesh, and rely only what my spirit discerns for you. Then and then only will I maintain this realization that in my press, YOU will never deny me.  So forgetting those things which are behind, I press.

Growing and still maturing in the process, I press.

Awaiting your divine intervention……..

Go and Possess Your Land!

“Let us go up at once and take possession of it..” Numbers 13:30

In the same fashion that God lead and directed His people in times pass; so is He doing today.  Sometimes it appears that we have forgotten that the ultimate battle has already been won and the victory is already ours! Many appear to have developed the mind set of the victim in this war instead of the victor.  Far too much time is spent focusing on the what we are observing in this physical realm – than standing in faith and proclaiming the promises of God.

REMEMBER: It doesn’t matter what the intensity or the volume of my voice may be – if my words are not spoken in faith and in alignment with the Word of God – I’m just wasting my time!  It doesn’t matter how many times I decree something; if my mind has not been renewed to the extent that it is in total agreement with the manifestation of my decrees.

Possessing my land requires an ear to hear the voice of God; the discipline the to move out in His timing, a discerning spirit that detects every diabolical move from the kingdom of darkness and an unshakable,, steadfast confidence in the Word of God.

So it’s time to learn how to obtain “sweat less” victories! (Note: The Levitical priest were instructed to were linen as opposed to wool as to not sweat in the presence of the Lord. Research Ezekiel 44:17,18.) We can’t “make” our adversary do anything.  He fears not our words – nor our hype!  However, he MUST, MUST become subject to the Word of God when it is spoken.

Don’t permit any type of fear to cancel your faith!  Speak the Word of God, and don’t permit ANY negative words to override or cancel what you have spoken!

Lastly, learn how to extend your prayers above the battle ground and into to the courtroom!  When we learn how to spend more time in the presence of the Lord in worship – we will have the advantage of descending in power.  We will have the privilege of walking as Christ did; telling the enemy, “It is written”.  Don’t permit him (the enemy) to have the upper hand any longer.  God has command and Jesus has defeated every opposing force.  Soooo why the delay?  The time is now! The person is you.  Move forward, keep your focus and go possess our land!

Can You Hear

The Voice of Silence?

One of the most rewarding and intimately fulfilling experiences that one can embrace is their relationship with the Lord.  Furthermore, as this bond begins to become more “seasoned”, our fellowship with the Lord transcends the “outer court” experience – and will embrace the natural and mature fellowship - which is characteristic to that of a “holy of holies” occurrence.   Within this dimension, one will learn to truly appreciate their relationship with the Lord.  They will enjoy the conversations with Him which are not relative to this realm, but are held “spirit to spirit”.  In other words, these conversations occur on such an accelerated level;  that information is transferred more quickly than our brain can receive, process and transmit the words to our mouth! Consequently, you learn that it’s useless to even attempt to speak to Him with your natural mouth.  So you just settle down and allow the “mouth of your spirit” to communicate with the Lord. 

One morning, while having one of these conversations, the Lord asked me, “What do you hear?” I responded, “I don’t hear anything”.  Again he said, “What do you hear?”   I replied, “Nothing”.   Then, a third time he asked, “What do you hear?”  Well…. by this time, I’m thinking about Peter!   I’m thinking… Okay, .I’m really missing something here!  So I waited for a while, then I replied, “I hear silence.”  The Lord replied, “YES!...so you do hear something!  You hear silence.” Then he said, “Now, listen pass the silence.  What do you hear?”  As I listened more intensively, I answered, “I hear conversations”. (Even though the language wasn’t a spoken language that I was familiar with – it seemed as though I could understand exactly what was being transmitted). ….  Yes, he responded, “Always remember that in times of “silence” the enemy is diabolically planning, strategizing, and regrouping.  Therefore, use those times that appear to be silent wisely”. 

“Listen”, He said, “For the voice…the Voice in the Silence.  The voice that will signify the shift in the wind.  Listen for voice of distractions.  Acknowledge them...but learn not to entertain them.”  He further said, “As you listen to the voice in the silence of the wind, you will be able to distinguish the sounds of the wind.  Listen for the wind within the wind.”

To Listen in the realm of the Spirit……… Is To…..

L = Look and Learn; Look beyond his realm into the multifaceted dimension where God’s sovereign authority is evident. Then LEARN how to walk in the liberty of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

I = Ignite Your Expectation (Proverbs 10:28)

S = Settle Your Spirit (Romans 12:1 & 2)

T = Temper Your Mind (Philippians 2:5)

E = Exercise Your Kingdom Authority (Matthew 28:18)

N = Nurture Your Information Received (Matthew 7:6)

As endtime Leaders (and Saints), we must know how to listen...not just for the voice of the Lord, but with a discerning ear for the “Voice of Silence”.   God has equipped us and established us as His ambassadors to properly discern the times.  Just as he led His people through the wilderness with a cloud and a pillar….He’s still leading us through our endtime wilderness (natural & physical).  However, we must know how to LISTEN. As we adhere to the proper listening techniques, we will know how and when it is the appropriate time to move His people (and ourselves) to their next place (and our next place) in Him.

I’m In My New Place, Embracing My New Position; Advancing Towards My New Assignment!

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:19 (New Living Version)

The Lord has said: “My people are all in a new place and have a new position.  (You should have realized this – if you didn’t already know this; go into a period of consecration as to awaken your discernment.)

Think it not strange that you “feel” different and that the things around you appear to be different. The winds have shifted and you are in a new place.  You are now in an enhanced dimension.  You are about to embark upon a new venture.  For some your physical location may be the familiar; however your mission has now been altered, elevated, enlarged and broaden.  Advance, proceed and press forward quickly and cautiously.  It is important that in this dimension you don’t become stagnate, idle or inactive.  Don’t look back with regrets (Remember Lot’s wife!). 

Stay freed from every entanglement that once held you captive …. the positive situations as well as the negative.  The enemy knows the important role that you are now in the position to assume.  He is going to attempt to keep you preoccupied with “being busy”…. doing and engaging in assignments that are positive but not God ordained for this season.

Embrace the change by altering whatever you can in the physical realm; this will assist your mind in forming new thought patterns.  If possible change something in your décor; the places where you shop or dine.  Be creative. It may even be as simple as changing something in your normal daily agenda….. But change something!  The shift has already occurred in the realm of the spirit; therefore it won’t be difficult to transform your physical realm.   We have the mind of Christ; therefore, change is only difficult because we have been programmed to believe so. Remember Philippians 4:13!

Don’t expect the assurance or the acceptance of others.  As long as you have my validation, said the Lord….that’s all that matters. Your mandate has already received my stamp of approval.  Continue to guard your heart.  Stand boldly and stand strong in your authority.  It is imperative that your mind stays free.  Walk in peace, walk in power, walk in my promises … and you will continue to walk in my provision as never before.” ….saith the Lord.

And it is so!

“May the God of peace be with you all. Amen.”  Romans 15:33

I Know No Defeat!!!!

Therefore….. I Can’t Fail

“And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”                          I John 5:14 & 15

Walk today as if you have already received everything that the Lord has promised! Wisdom, wealth and riches are in your hand.  God has already placed within your hand the valuable keys which will give you access to every resource needed. However, you must use every available avenue (such as; networking connections, business partnerships, education, talents, gifts, etc… – use them all!) to receive the manifestation of the promises. 

God has already heard your request; He’s positioned, established you, and strategically aligned every detail concerning the manifestation of your request and petitions.  

Reread the recorded accounts of Joseph’s life (Genesis 37-45) and compare them to your life.  He went from the pasture to the pit, to the prison and then to the palace. It was a process! Also, ask God to reveal to you your three key people….Your butler (the person who will open the doors for you); your Pharaoh (the person who will give you access to unlimited resources); and your baker (the person who will assist you in pulling everything together).

Just like Joseph, I can’t fail!  Why can I not fail? Simply because there is no failure in God.  As long as I maintain my focus, God will cause ALL things to work together for my good (Romans 8:28).  Even when the circumstances produce unfavorable and unexpected results; I must remember that I STILL HAVEN’T FAILED!!!  I am determined that even in the times and experiences that others may view as failures; I will learn how to perfect or correct every circumstance that has yielded on unexpected outcome.  Therefore, I have still gained something during the entire experience!  I am emerging wiser, more conscientious or more patient.  Therefore, I haven’t failed! I can’t fail.  Failure is not a part of my DNA; and I refuse to permit anyone or anything to impose that mindset into my spirit!  Whether in my pasture, my pit, or my prison…. I KNOW that I’m being prepared to reign in my palace!  In other words, I have still been increased through every situation….that’s why I can’t fail!

Trust God! He can’t fail you – REGARDLESS!! Whatever you would do …. if you were assured that you would succeed …DO IT!  God IS able to do through you exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever ask or think.

The ball is in your court… the bat is in your hand.  You may have thought that you were waiting for God …..But in all actuality - He is waiting for You!  Get up! Move out! …. And refuse to be defeated….REGARDLESS!!!!

Don’t Throw In The Towel….

It’s Your Process

 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

Today we in America are living in an era where spending long hours preparing and cooking food is almost to be compared with typewriters and dinosaurs!  We’ve adhered to and adjusted to the notion of reducing some of the steps; cutting a few corners; while yet expecting the end product to still remain the same. Most of us have not learned the art of “waiting”, nor how the persevere and gracefully endure each phase of a process.

Let’s consider some rolls. Most people really enjoy freshly baked warm rolls; straight from the oven.  However have you ever considered that there are various processes involved?  If you are going to bake rolls – the dough must be made, permitted to rise; punched down; reshaped; and then permitted to rise all over again.  Then, after more preparation… they will be placed into a hot oven where the process continues.  If just one process is eliminated; if just one ingredient is measured incorrectly; if just one condition adjusted – the end product will not produce the expected and anticipated results.  The entire process must be permitted to “run its course” – if you desire to have rolls which have the correct texture, taste and appearance.

When we read the story of Joseph’s life; (Genesis 37:3-41:4); we can realize that life is a process.  Joseph didn’t advance to be the King without enduring every stage of his process.  Far too often we are attempting to reign as a King, without enduring the foundational principles gleaned from the experiences of a pit.  Joseph had to endure the consequences and apply the wisdom learned in the pit, at the house of Potiphar, and in the prison; prior to his ability to reign in the palace.

Every occurrence in your life was and is vital!  Every circumstance presented a building block that has been permitted, as a foundational pillar, from which your future will be erected.  If just one incident in your life had been altered – you would not have learned from that experience, nor have the wisdom that you now have.  Every part of your process is of grave importance.

Always remember the concept of making rolls.  When making rolls, the dough will rise only to be punched back down again… and sometimes again. Then reshaped, set aside to rise again and shoved into a hot oven!

So don’t become discouraged when you have exceled….. only to find yourself knocked down and back at square one all over again…. But rather rejoice.   There are lessons to be learned on every level that will equip you for your future stability.   God has made plans for your life.  He is simply taking you through the process that will bring you to His expected end for you.  Wherever you are right now – your present conditions are only temporary.

Remember, whatever you are experiencing right now…. …. It’s life.   It’s vital.  It’s God ordained….. and……   It’s only your process. 

Get the Junk Out..

And Keep Your Water Shaft Unpolluted

“David said on that day, Whoever smites the Jebusites, let him get up through the water shaft and smite the lame and the blind who are detested by David’s soul….”   2 Samuel 5:8 (Amplified)

As we read this story about the capture of Jerusalem from the Jebusites we will find that King David had a strategy.  This reminds us that whenever we are going to be victorious in any type of confrontation – we must first have a strategic plan. Bear in mind that our adversary isn’t powerful nor a genius - but he is strategic and tenacious. 

David’s plan was to use the water shaft. A water shaft was an underground conduit for bringing water from a spring into a city. David knew that the water shaft would give him the access into the city – yet give him the ability to arrive undetected.  David didn’t attempt to devise a new method to gain access – he just used what was already available.  

What device is  used as the water shaft in your life?  What is the source in your life that keeps your soul, your mind and your spirit refreshed?  Whatever the source, we must make certain that our personal water shaft remains free from debris.  We can’t afford to permit our water shaft to become clogged nor to circulate polluted water.

The enemy will use whatever access is available to gain entrance. He will try to poison your water shaft.  He will try to clog up your water shaft.   By any means necessary… he still wants access to kill, steal and destroy. He will use your eye gate, ear gate, etc. to gain an access to pollute your water shaft. 

You see…Water is one of those resources that our bodies need on a regular basis.  Both our physical and spiritual bodies need a fresh supply of water on a daily basis.   Our natural body is composed of mostly water.  Statistics have revealed that our bodies are more than 60 percent water. Blood is 92 percent water, the brain and muscles are 75 percent water, and bones are about 22 percent water.  A human can survive for a month or more without eating food, but only a week or so without drinking water!

So in the natural – so in the spiritual.  It is vital that our spiritual bodies receive water – that living water…. in order to be effective. So by any means necessary – keep your water shaft unpolluted. 

Daily maintenance is a dire necessity.   Ask the Lord for a sharpened and a keener discernment with the ability to detect the enemy while he is yet afar off! 

We have to govern and disinfect our spiritual water shaft constantly!  The water is pure because it is flowing directly from the throne of God.  However, am “I” permitting my water shaft to become contaminated because “I” am not maintaining a DAILY regimen of spiritual cleansing?   Am “I” the cause of someone else receiving contaminated water because my water shaft is filthy with the ideologies, concepts and precepts of the world?  Am “I” yielding my ear gate to music that is not structured and inspired by God?  Far too often we, the body of Christ will attempt to justify and legalize anything that we desire.  Old things MUST remain in the past… and we MUST receive all things new – if we are going to have the ability to successfully stand in these last days.   We cannot permit our souls to find contentment in the pleasures of the world IF we want our water shaft to remain clean and unpolluted.

The Bible states that there shall be many in the last days that will come and DECEIVE.  Warriors – don’t be deceived.  Don’t permit your spirit man to feed on music that is not ordained of God.  Just because someone may verbally “SAY” that they belong to the Lord – doesn’t make it so.  People often ask me if it’s okay to listen to secular music.  My response is this.  Music is a universal language because it is generated from the soul and spirit of a person.  If my spirit man is to maintain a certain stamina; it cannot do so by receiving from one who has not acknowledged God’s lordship into their lives. Secular music will appease by flesh and my soul – but does not have the ability to enhance my spirit.   Therefore, the proof will be in the pudding!  It’s all or nothing – anything that is lukewarm…. God will spew out… and so should we! Again…. if I am going to keep my water shaft in the condition that is satisfactory to the Lord – then I must “step up my game”, become more focused and remove any “junk” that is attempting to clog or pollute my water shaft.

Remember: It’s the “little” foxes that spoil the vine…. So it only takes one small action, one gate left unprotected, one small breach in the wall….. to permit an access to your water shaft…. Which can lead to the potential of your entire water shaft becoming polluted!

From Fetters to Freedom

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron,           

                                                                                                                                                                  Psalm 149;6-8

There was a hymn entitled, “Jesus Breaks Every Fetter”.  Even though that song is rarely heard its implication hasn’t loss it validity.  When we bring to mind thoughts concerning the word “fetter”, we can correlate them to various obstacles that the enemy attaches to us to delay our progress in the Lord.   Whether they be: areas of sin or weaknesses in the flesh; the phenomena of life; or circumstances totally beyond our control; - a fetter is anything that is tied to me which restricts my mobility and/or my advancement. 

There are those things; some of which WE have permitted or instituted.  Others could have been inherited or the consequences of circumstances which were beyond our control.  Nevertheless, these obstacles still continue: to shackle, bond, chain and yoke themselves to us.  Therefore our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit is none productive.  Many times we are attempting to assist others in a deepen walk with the Lord, yet we have not been freed ourselves of our many “fetters”……  However Jesus still breaks EVERY fetter.

What are some of the evidences that our fetters have been broken?  

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, my concern is to increase my relationship with the Lord - just because of who he is - not because of what he can do. 

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I will realize that as I increase in my love walk and in every other walk in my life - so will those with whom I am connected.  (The proof IS in the pudding!  Leaders.. We cannot any longer expect others to walk in a level of excellency that WE are not committed to!) 

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, my appetites are disciplined and my motives pure.

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, the manifestation of the enemy’s work won’t frighten me, his maneuvers don’t surprise me and his schemes can’t outwit me.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I won’t just sing, “It is Well With My Soul”, but my life will exemplify and verify so.  (By your fruit shall you be known!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, the peace of God WILL rule my mind,  I WILL walk above EVERY circumstance in this life, and I WILL remain focused on and committed to the plans and purposes  that the Lord has assigned to me.

Therefore to obtain the freedom which will permit the peace of God to continually infiltrate our lives; surpassing all understanding…. every fetter and its suppressing power must be broken!  

So ….its once again dependent upon the status of my mind! Once my mind has been liberated from its fetters – I will have the ability to be…and to maintain total freedom in every area of my life.  Then and only then will I have at my disposal the matured level of wisdom to advance from Fetters to Freedom.

I’m Still Holding The Reins

Therefore, I’m Yielded ….. But Not Broken

“Not of works”....  Ephesians 2:9

The Lord wants to be in total control of our lives.  However, for the most part, far too many of His faithful followers haven’t received the boldness which is required for them to operate from a platform of being “broken”.  They are faithful in the “doing” while lacking in the “being”.  In other words we are basically still living our lives from the position of observing the law (the covenant of works); instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to accomplish His work though us.

We have yielded our thoughts, actions and words to the LEADING of the Holy Spirit which is a great achievement… for a new convert.   When I “yield” in a given situation; I remain in control and decide the outcome of that situation.   When I am yielded, I will faithfully and in all sincerity: pay my tithes, “assemble myself with other believers”, study and read my Bible, etc.  However, because I am only yielded – I am still basing my relationship with the Lord on all of these things that I am “doing”.

When I become that broken vessel …. I have matured to the place where I am no longer in control at all.  Therefore my mind has been renewed to the extent that I will move in instant obedience to the voice of the Lord.  A broken vessel truly “Takes no thought for tomorrow” when they receive a command from the Lord. A broken vessel doesn’t worry, fret or become overly concerned about the outcome of situations or circumstances.  A broken vessel has learned the art of resting in the assurance of the unconditional love of the Lord – regardless. 

A yielded vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord; but may delay in obeying…

A broken vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord and without giving it a second thought - instantly obey.

A yielded vessel will still “stake claims” on  and cling to their material possessions….

A broken vessel will say, “Lord EVERYTHING that I have is yours” - …. And they will freely release ANYTHING that they possess when the initial instruction comes from the Lord

A yielded vessel is still in the process of being molded, reshaped and refashioned.   A yielded vessel is still developing into a vessel that has been stripped of every hindering traditional ideology, concept and precept.  Then once stripped, this vessel can now be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit and refashioned to be used totally by Him for His glory.  

To be effective in these last days; we can no longer be just yielded vessels.  It’s a new day! The Lord doesn’t desire for us to only be yielded.   We must become broken vessels by Him for Him. 

I challenge you to sincerely seek the face of God, asking Him to reveal the areas in your mind where ungodly or immature strongholds still exist…. The areas where you are only yielded – and not broken.  

We must be determined to become broken vessels because:

Broken vessels are vessels of virtue;

Broken vessels are vessels of valor and above all;

Broken vessels are vessels of Victory!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.  Isaiah 43:19

Go and Possess Your Land!

“Let us go up at once and take possession of it..” Numbers 13:30

In the same fashion that God led and directed His people in times pass; so is He doing today.  Sometimes it appears that we have forgotten that the ultimate battle has already been won and the victory is already ours! Many appear to have developed the mind set of the victim in this war instead of the victor.  Far too much time is spent focusing on the what we are observing in this physical realm – than standing in faith and proclaiming the promises of God.

REMEMBER: It doesn’t matter what the intensity or the volume of my voice may be – my words must be spoken in faith!

It doesn’t matter how many times I decree something; my mind must be renewed to the extent that it is in alinement with the manifestation of my decrees.

Possessing my land requires an ear to hear the voice of God; the discipline the to move out in His timing, a discerning spirit that detects every diabolical move from the kingdom of darkness and an unshakable, steadfast confidence in the Word of God.

So it’s time to learn how to obtain “sweat less” victories! (Note: The Levitical priest were instructed to were linen as opposed to wool as to not sweat in the presence of the Lord. Research Ezekiel 44:17,18.) We can’t “make” our adversary do anything.  He fears not our words – nor our hype!  However, he MUST, MUST become subject to the Word of God when it is spoken.

Don’t permit any type of fear to cancel your faith!  Speak the Word of God, and don’t permit ANY negative words to override or cancel what you have spoken!

Lastly, learn how to extend your prayers above the battle ground and into to the courtroom!  When we learn how to spend more time in the presence of the Lord in worship – we will have the advantage of descending in power.  We will have the privilege of walking as Christ did; telling the enemy, “It is written”… and then proceed to possess our land!

Remember: Your land has already been selected, and the appropriate price has already been satisfied.  Your God appointed territory is waiting for you…. go and take ownership of it.  It’s time for you to advance and claim what’s rightfully yours! 

A Rain of Abundance Is Falling!

A Refreshing Rain…Restoring Rain

“You, O God, did send a plentiful rain; You did restore and confirm your heritage when it languished and was weary”.                    Psalm 68:9 AMP

Note: Today’s meditation is prophetic in nature and therefore might not be totally comprehended by everyone.  Nevertheless, please feel free to contact me for clarification. 

A drenching rain is coming!  However, some people won’t be able to reap the advantages of this rain … because it a supernatural rain that will yield increase in both realms. .  This rain will pour down upon the earth – to saturate those children of God who are waiting in great expectation of it.  The Lord is sending this rain: to cleanse, to heal, to restore and to maintain. 

The rain will be felt as you prophetically dance in the presence of the Lord to the beat that is within your spirit.  Worship in this rain.  Listen in this rain.  Obey in this rain. Receive your next instructions and strategic plans in this rain!

Not everyone will comprehend the fact that it’s raining.  Many will know that something is occurring – but won’t understand exactly what.  Still others will know “ABOUT” the rain – but haven’t developed the type of relationship with the Lord that will afford them the opportunity to reap any of the benefits from it.

The effects which are being released from this rain are eternal.  They won’t wear off – but will wear in.  This rain will cleanse.  This rain will awaken.  This rain will unlock.  This rain will release.  This rain will saturate; producing healing, wholeness and bringing total peace (NOTHING lacking, NOTHING broken, NOTHING missing!).

This rain will also confirm.  This rain will also seal. This rain will also bind.  This rain will also initiate a coagulation process for spiritual wounds that have bleeding for years.

Revelation, manifestation, transformation and reformation…. All benefits from soaking in this rain.  No umbrellas for this rain…. Become completely soaked!  You will acquire an enriched, a totally refreshing and an awesomely rewarding experience.  

So get free….. and Dance, Dance, Dance IN THIS RAIN OF ABUNDANCE!!!!  HALLELUJAH!!!
