Doubt Get Out!

Holy Week Day 3 : Doubt Get Out!!!

“Verily I say unto you, if ye have faith, and doubt not……” Matthew 21:21

One of the events which is recorded for this day is the manifestation of the withered fig tree which had been cursed by Jesus on yesterday.  Both Mark and Matthew explain their amazement as they approach the tree.

Our limited concept of the miraculous power and authority of God can also often be compared to that which was housed in the minds of the Biblical disciples. Although they had actually seen the demonstrated displays of Jesus’ power, the Bible states that they marveled and they seemed amazed with the rapid results of Jesus’ spoken words (Matthew 21:20).  What is even more interesting is the fact that Jesus declared, that after all that they had seen – they still lacked in their ability to understand who He was.  Most importantly they didn’t fully comprehend who TEYHEHHhhhhhHEY were because of their relationship to Him.  Jesus responded to their insecurities and named them “doubt”; informing the disciples that even though one has faith – doubt can’t be on board.

Today, we are often encased in that same “prison” of doubt.  Doubt has established invisible barriers around our minds and has prevented us from understanding and really gasping who we actually are in Christ.  We fail to experience the enormous amount of power that belongs to us simply because we permit doubt to: enter in……get a latte….. sit back and get comfortable!

So I present a challenge to you: Refuse to permit this spirit to control your actions any longer.  How is this done? By the continual process of “Identification and Eviction”.  Daily we must move in the confidence that is established in the Word of God.  Therefore, when doubt attempts to surface – acknowledge it; then cancel the effects of its power and evict it by SAYING the Word of God.  Don’t doubt yourself! …And especially don’t doubt the power of the

Word of God.  You must know and remember… If I can think it – (and it’s legal!) I can do it!

When Jesus walked the earth, He did what no other person had ever done prior to His existence.  Why? To give to us the example that we have been empowered by our God to manifest on this earth what other gods of other religions can’t produce.  He was the living example FOR us, to demonstrate TO us, some of the things that we should be accomplishing.  However, we must rid ourselves of doubt.

Doubt comes to:

D – Destroy; O – Override; U – Upset; B – Bind; and to T – Threaten.

To Destroy our dreams and hopes.

To Override God’s power and authority.

To Upset our foundation of faith that has previously been established.

To Bind us by limiting and forbidding our progress.

To Threaten us by making us presuppose the worst. (And then he (doubt) brings in his “roadie” FEAR!)

Make a conscience decision to actually DO what God has placed in your heart, mind and spirit to accomplish.  Come into an agreement with; and a oneness with the plans that the Lord has for your life.

Refer back to the recorded story of when the people were attempting to erect the tower of Babel. The Bible said… and NOTHING shall be impossible for them because they are of one mind (Genesis 11:1-7). If we, as people can accomplish anything that we desire when we become “as one”….. can you imagine what would     result if we ever totally became  “as one”… and in total agreement with God (John 17:21)?

So, as of today make a conscious decision to… be bound… not more!  Be deceived ….no more. Take the limits off.  Send the spirit of doubt a memo by: Text, FB, Twitter or Instagram.  Inform him that all future performances have been cancelled!

Inform the spirit of doubt that as of today it is receiving an eviction notice – effective immediately. Now…. Begin to BOLDLY walk in your authority!

HALLELUJAH….. AND IT IS SO!!!!!!

The Cleansing of The Temple

Holy Week: The Cleansing of the Temple

“….Any Wicked Way”

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” Psalm 139: 23 & 24

There are two specific events that are recorded concerning Jesus’ journey on this the day after Palm Sunday.  They are the cleansing of the temple and the cursing of the fig tree.

Just as Jesus eradicated the actions that were transpiring in the physical temple; we must make certain that our “temple” is not contaminated.      Let’s consider the word wicked.  I often correlate this word to wicker.  Which reminds me of wicker furniture.  What differentiates this type of furniture is the fact that its material has been uniquely processed.  Wicker also refers to the weaving process that the material has under gone.  So wicker furniture has been woven in a way that will produce a certain effect.

Far too often our hearts have been interwoven with concepts, motives, ideologies, etc. which have produced in us a wickered or wicked way.  We have – in many instances unknowingly – been indoctrinated by traditions, rituals, and the like which have lead us down the path to bondage.  We have within us areas which are still harboring the spirits of: anger, deceit, and fear.  Pride is still on board and has intricately been woven into our hearts causing us to unknowingly “bow” to various idols.

Of course, none of us have erected ancient day idols in our homes; but what is worst is the fact that we have them within our hearts!   We, on many occasions; establish, pay homage to, and hold in too high esteem the reverence for “people, places and things” over our relationship with our God. A reverential respect and fear of God has not taken its rightful position within our hearts.

The true revelation of all that is within our hearts, will only by produced by an illumination from the Holy Spirit.  So on a personal level; I need to sincerely seek the face of the Lord, and ask Him to reveal any wicked or wickered way that is within me.  Then I must learn to succumb to His leading as He directs me to the path which will allow me to obtain a renewed heart.  A Heart that is totally submitted and committed for His use……Then when He passes by my spiritual tree; He will not curse it for not being productive in my season!

“Investigate my life, O God, find out everything about me; Cross-examine and test me, get a clear picture of what I’m about; See for yourself whether I’ve done anything wrong - then guide me on the road to eternal life.” Psalm 139: 23 -24 (The Message Bible)

Let's Compare....

Let’s Compare…..

The Centipede & The Christian

Read: I Corinthians 12:12-26

How you ever considered a centipede?  Probably not. However the Lord had instructed me to do a little research on them.  After which, He instructed me to prepare a comparison between the similarities of the centipede and the endtime Saints.  (Set aside some time to do the same.  I’m sure that it will prove to be very advantageous to your ministry or your Christian walk.)

As we speak, the enemy is devising a fast approaching army that will secrete a very painful poisonous venom like that which can be ejected from the centipede.  Unlike the scorpion, but like the centipede. (Compare the two.)  This venom is secreted from the first set of legs on the centipede.  In our ministries, far too often our “front legs” have no venom.  Our front line of defense is composed of those who are novice, and unprepared to stand effectively against the blows of the enemy.  We can no longer afford to voluntarily give the adversary an entrance and an access to us simply because we have not established our perimeter with those who are “seasoned” enough and wise enough to be able to effectively ward off his attacks.

Next, each section of the centipede’s body is equipped with a set of 2 legs. (Side bar: Didn’t Christ send out His disciples in groups of 2?)  Some sections have less than 20 legs; while others have more than 300.  Nevertheless, it glides smoothly because each set of legs carries its own weight!

We must ourselves…. and we must equip others to carry their own weight by effectively using their God given talents and abilities.   No longer should we assign people to positions where they are not called - just for the sake of filling a position.  We also, must equip ourselves to become more reliant upon the Holy Ghost and not on other people to carry us.   Those of you who are not assuming leadership positions – yet – should not permit someone to place you into given position that you know you are not called to.  Not an endtime strategy!

Lastly, each set of legs on the centipede is made a little short than the set in front of it.  This depicts order.  Many of our churches are not making an effective impact because they have not been established according to the apostolic order that God mandated for His church.   (I’m not referring to the Apostolic Denomination.)

Centipedes are primarily hunters.  Once it has found its prey; it will usually wrap itself around the prey, inject it with venom and wait for the venom to take effect before consuming it.

We have been instructed to go into the hedges and the highways looking for the unsaved.  When we have found them – then we as the body of Christ are to wrap ourselves around them and to show them the  powerful “venom” of the love of God “that is able to cover” them.

Much more can be said about the centipede and the body of Christ.  However, I’ll conclude by saying….

Remember:  Just as there are over 8,000 species of the centipede; we being many members, are just one species - one body.  Our ultimate goal should be to stand, and demonstration to the world, that whatever the attack, we as the body of Christ will remain unified ….

Because the Lord has already prepared us…the body of Christ… to be His  Triumphant Church.

Did You Keep Your Word…. Or Did You Lie Again???

“Are You Still Committed?”

“A winner makes commitment. A loser makes promises.”  (Anonymous)

“Jesus said to him, “No one who puts his hand to the plow and looks back is fit for the kingdom of God.” Luke 9:62 ESV

The Bible has a lot to say about being committed.  If a poll were to be taken, I’m sure that most people would consider themselves to be loyal, devoted, faithful – committed.  However, to be considered as one who has earned the ability to be classified as committed doesn’t come without an extremely high price tag!

Many have declared that this year, they would excel and accomplish more than in previous years.  Whether written or verbally proclaimed and mentally affirmed – commitments were initiated at the beginning of the year.  We are still in the first quarter of the year; and most of those “commitments” have already been diminished to empty promises.  In other words …. We’ve lied ..AGAIN!!!

Luke 9:62 refers to be committed – “And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.”   As does Ecclesiastics 5:5; “It is better not to make a vow than to make one and not fulfill it.”  (Only two of many scriptures that deal with commitment.)

So, let’s become committed to be more committed!   In other words, we must – if we are going to maintain our effectiveness, begin to place more value, on the demonstrated displays of those things which the Lord has assigned to us.  Far too often we “pick and choose” our level of commitment and limit it to what we deem important or more convenient.  However, we must remain cognizant of the fact that God doesn’t invest anything in us that is worthless.  He has handpicked, and strategically tailor made the plansfor our lives.  He has given to us all so many more giftings and anointings than most of us are permitting to be manifested in our lives.  Now, our job is to become “committed” to the cultivating, grooming and maturing procedures which are required; that will cause every seed within us to begin and continue its growth process.

There is no better time to begin that now.  Many will read this and agree – but will you be one of the ones who will actually be committed enough to change?  It was once spoken that the graveyard contains some of the richest soil.  Why? Because most people die without staying committed enough to their cause to produce the dreams, and aspirations which the Lord has given to them.

To remain committed I must: Change, Obey, Meditate, Mature, Invest, Travail, Trust, Endure and Demand!

Let’s not arrive at the end of next quarter without displaying some sign that we are becoming more committed to producing all that the Lord has entrusted and meticulously placed within us.

When I stand before God at the end of my life, I would hope that I would not have a single bit of talent left, and could say, "I used everything you gave me.” Erma Bombeck

Don’t Allow Your Riches to Replace His Richest!
 “The Eye of the Needle”
“And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.”         Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:25, Luke 18:25

One reference source explains the “eye of the needle” as a secondary gate which was used at night when the primary entrance had already been sealed for the evening.  This gate was much smaller in height and width than the main gate.  The only way that a camel could enter would be to get down on its knees, be stripped of all of its baggage and guided carefully though.

In our text, the Lord isn’t condemning anyone for being rich; however the warning is being given to all who have excelled in obtaining material gain.  Be your riches in the areas of: finances, education, prestige, or in any other area; whatever you have acquired in excessive must not replace your love and allegiance to the Lord.  Far too often, when someone begins to “move up the ladder” their level of dedication, integrity, and loyalty to the Lord gradually begins to diminish.

We have read for years that the wealth of the wicked is laid up for the just.  We have also heard about the great release of finances that is on the onset for those who have been faithful.
As you continue to receive your endtime release, it is imperative that you increase your devotion and admiration to and for the Lord.

Don’t lose your focus.  One of the concepts concerning the eye of the needle that is relevant for today is this: we must be willing to be stripped of everything for the cause of Christ.  We must not become so attached to anything - that we will not release it at a command from the Lord.  We must never consider ourselves too “important” to get down on our hands, knees and faces in the presence of the Lord (Give no place to the spirit of pride!).

The eye of the needle can also be symbolic to entering into the holy of holies in the realm of the spirit.  We must be stripped of everything prior to the Lord granting us permission to enter. Many people are saved; however not everyone who is saved will be given access to the “holy of holies” in the realm of the spirit.   To gain access requires one to value their relationship with the Lord to the degree that they are willing to surrender any and everything, for and to Him.

Again I reiterate: Don’t Lose Your Focus!  The tables have begun to turn and the imminent release to the true Saints is no longer pending – it’s here!  However, if we are going to retain all that we receive, we must maintain our relationship with the Lord; and increase in our devotion to Him.  Our hearts must remain pliable to the leading of the Holy Spirit.  When we totally surrender our hearts – then whatever is in our hands will automatically follow though us.  We must never forget that we are always blessed to be a blessing   Never neglect the opportunity to be a sower.  You have precious seed that must be released.
.
Don’t be compared to the rich young ruler (Matthew 19:16-26).   Daily remind yourself that you must be able and willing to forsake it all for the cause of Christ.

I challenge you in this season to become more alert in the realm of the spirit.  Fine tune your ear to hear the quite -yet thunderous voice of the Holy Spirit.  Above all…. remain disciplined enough to pass through the eye of the needle…. And Don’t Your Riches to Replace His RICHEST!!!!

Prepare for WAR!

Prepared for WAR!

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out.” Ephesians 6:13-18 (The Message Bible)

Power To Press Beyond
(Written by Apostle Claudia Boatwright ©2003)

F
ather in Jesus’ name, I thank you for the innate force within me that prompts me to seek a deeper revelation of you.

For my only desire in pressing beyond this realm is to obtain a greater insight of you and your solemnness; thus enabling me to not walk on the surface, but to have available to me those hidden, partially revealed spiritual treasures that are vital at this time.  These “jewels” are required for me to excel and will afford me the opportunity to properly lead others.

Lord God, I thank you that I have learned to persevere and to press beyond the obstacles, the road blocks and the detour signs - the hidden snares designed to delay your divine will for my life.  Thank you for the courage to press; - that courage which is required to recognize and discern; to subdue and call to naught every demonic and satanic force sent to oppose me on every level.  I now know how to press through and not request that you remove from me difficult situations….. For I recognize that all of these have been foreordained for my advancement.

Since you have told me that the best is in the press, I will press into you at any cost.   I will press beyond the feelings of defeat, frustration, adversity and opposition. I will press beyond the spirits of despair, dejection and rejection.  I have learned that I must press beyond any of the feelings in my flesh, and rely only what my spirit discerns for you. Then and then only will I maintain this realization that in my press, YOU will never deny me.

So forgetting those things which are behind, I press.
Growing and still maturing in the process, I press.
Awaiting your divine intervention……..
I press, I press, I PRESS!!!

The Door IS Open.. ACCESS GRANTED!!

"I know all the things you do, and I have opened a door for you that no one can close. You have little strength, yet you obeyed my word and did not deny me.” Revelation 3:8

Today the Lord is saying that because of your faithfulness to Him as you weathered every adverse condition; because of your diligence and perseverance to seek His face more than you sought His hand; because you planted your feet firmly in His Word REGARDLESS; because you refused to permit what you have observed with your natural eye to allow you to loose your focus…..  NOW.. A new door has been opened unto you!  You have been granted access to regain everything that the enemy has stolen, taken, or swindled from you!

Imagine the rain clouds. When they receive an excess amount of moisture – they BURST FORTH and we receive rain.  So it is at this time.  You have released in the realm of the spirit the necessary “rain”… your spiritual clouds can no longer contain any more of:  your fastings, your praying, your unselfish giving, your intercedings, your waring in the spirit; your level of tenacity and endurance.  It is now time for your spiritual clouds to burst forth!

Therefore, every necessary door that was previously closed….is opened!
Everything that was previously unavailable…..  is now available!

It is extremely important that you stay focused, and remain faithful.  Don’t become distracted by the sudden influx.  Seek the face of God for the wisdom that is necessary to function properly as you embrace all that is speedily becoming available to you.  Remember… Kingdom work must continue!

Lastly, the Lord is saying that the door has been opened, your access has been granted; however, don’t become a harbor…..you must continue to be a channel!

"……'Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. …… Matthew 25:23

Keep The Flame Ablaze!!

Keep the Fire Ablaze

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”  James 1:22

If you can remember some of the lessons from your chemistry class, one of the first lessons was probably on the composition of fire.  As a reminder, three elements are required to cause the chemical reaction to occur that we call fire. They are: oxygen, fuel and heat.  If one of these components is missing…. there will be no fire.

Fire likes to spread, and when it touches ANYTHING it will attempt to engulf it.  Fire will test whatever is in its path to measure the tangibility of its composure. If a fire is going to continue to burn and increase in intensely – it must maintain its fuel supply.

What about your inward fire?  Sometimes, our spiritual fires have been ignited, but if we haven’t provided the adequate fuel line to feed our fires….. they burn themselves out. Are you snuffing out your flame?  Is your flame struggling to stay lit?  Has the sin of: disobedience, worry, ignorance or impatience caused there to be a break or a leak in your fuel line…and now the flame of your fire is just flickering instead of blazing?

When we have the fire of the Holy Ghost burning on the inside, He will; because of the complexity of His nature, possess the ability to perform a multi-faceted purpose. He will protect and defend; be an offensive as well as a defensive barrier and enable us with the ability to live a productive life. He will spread and ignite everything that is within us; and conform it to His likeness….if we permit Him to do so.

We must be determined to keep our fire blazing. The Holy Spirit will assist us – but we must do our part.   To maintain our spiritual fire, we must also supply Him with the three required substances. It is mandatory that we have: the oxygen (our submitted will); the fuel (supplying a proper spiritual diet) and the heat (continual line of communication with the Father).

In the midst of every “happening”………. Keep Your Fire Ablaze!
Whether the conditions are positive or negative….. Keep Your Fire Ablaze!
Whether your environment is pleasurable or disagreeable ……Keep Your Fire Ablaze!
Whatever mindset you have encountered…….Keep Your Fire Ablaze!
Remember… You are a WARRIOR!!! And a warrior knows NO defeat!

Therefore, I challenge you to …..at any cost…………....Keep Your Fire Ablaze!!!

“Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial, for when he has stood the test he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him.”  I Corinthians 15:5

OH NO.... Not This Time!!!

OH NO! Not This Time!!!

“Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore, get wisdom; and in all thy getting, get understanding”. Proverbs 4:7

Today we appear to be forever learning – but never gleaning the proper understanding.  The Lord desires for us to remember and to understand three things;
1.     WHO He is
2.     WHAT He is doing
3.     WHY He is allowing us to encounter certain situations and circumstances.

Knowledge gives FACTS, but UNDERSTANDING permits me to properly apply the meanings of the facts that I’ve learned.  (…And all facts are not TRUTH!)  Many times we are experiencing the same situations over and over again.  This is usually because we haven’t gleaned the wisdom that’s necessary to understand WHO God is; WHAT He is doing and the WHY of His actions.  Therefore, when circumstances unexpectedly become adverse; we become frustrated, anxious, angry and/or discouraged.

Knowledge gives us Information but Understanding yields Principles; Knowledge impacts our memory but understanding impacts our reasoning; Knowledge builds scholars but Understanding creates teachers.

SO, this time when I’m confronted with the same situations….again… my response will reflect that I’m truly in a different place.  Since I don’t just have information but I now have an understanding of WHO, WHAT and WHY….I will emerge from every situation as “more than a conqueror”.  No matter what the opposition – I can tell the enemy..... OH NO – Not This Time!

In Mark 13:7 in the amplified version
7And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not get alarmed (troubled and frightened); it is necessary [that these things] take place, but the end is not yet.”

8For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines and calamities. This is but the beginning of the [a]intolerable anguish and suffering [only the first of the [b]birth pangs].

So when the next major calamity comes that shook us like “9 -11” did; Our response will not be one of fear and frustration.  We will maintain our focus – and tell the enemy…OH NO – Not This Time!

When sickness comes to visit again….because I now understand Isaiah 53:5 – I will stand and declare, OH NO.. Not This Time!
If finances become questionable, because I’m a tither and understand Malachi 3:11 - I can say OH NO.. No This Time.
When Loneliness knocks at my door – I can open the door with Deuteronomy 31:6.
When disappointments and tribulations arise… Romans 8:38 & 39 will be response… And Whatever the enemy throw my way, because I now have the proper understanding….I will use my God given authority, which is always based in His Word; and boldly proclaim …OH NO.. Not This Time!

Someone summarized it this way:

One day heartaches will be over -  But Today we have God’s COMFORT,
One day pain will be no more, TODAY God is saying My GRACE is sufficient,
One day there will be no more burdens, but TODAY we have His Strength,
One day I will possess everything that I need, but TODAY Live by Faith,
One day I will understand EVERYTHING… BUT TODAY I TRUST His actions!
                                                                                                           (Author Unknown)

Yes.. Prayer is the KEY…FAITH unlocks the door….But a proper UNDERSTANDING will give me the ACCESS and the WISDOM to OPEN that door and allow me to tell the enemy… OH NO, NOT THIS TIME!

Ungodly Fear Steals Our Time

Ungodly Fear Steals Our Time

“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”

 II Timothy 1:7

One of the most valuable tools that we as warriors have at our disposal is time. Strategies and strategic maneuvers are only effective when implemented at their correct timing. On more occasions than we realize, ungodly fear is the underlying culprit for both our delays and our hasty decisions.

In this season, we must stay alert in the realm of the spirit so that we can first recognize this spirit of fear and then uproot it. We must not become distracted with “important – unimportant” issues. A sharpened discernment is required if we are going to be effective against this current move of the enemy on our family members, our young people, our friends…. and everyone that we are concerned about.  Our list of priorities must be initiated by the Holy Spirit and governed by His wisdom.

As the end of time as we now know it rapidly approaches, we must understand that various demonic spirits will mask themselves as never before.  For example, we must recognize that the reason that many of our young people are dishonoring their bodies with the various markings and piercings is because they battling with the spirits of rejection and of course “fear”.  They are looking for a sense of “belonging”; and they fear not being accepted.

Therefore, we must be able to discern these and other end-time moves of the enemy.   However, this type of discernment is only released in us as we completely surrender our minds unto the Lord.  It is imperative that our minds be elevated and be totally renewed from every residue that is yet attempting to linger and cause a breach or break in stability.  We must learn to operate in a spirit of total and instant obedience to the voice of the Lord. This type of obedience is produced by love and discipline – not fear;  and is vital.   This type of obedience also produces in us a sense of “readiness” which prepares us to be more “pro” active… instead of “re” active!

I also hear the Lord saying that now it is of the utmost importance that seasoned warriors maintain an alertness in their spirits that can only be produced by a disciplined ear - disciplined to hear my voice said the Lord and obey my commands- even when I don't speak!

So value your time and your timing.  Your adversary will attempt to cause you waste time in the realm of the spirit by placing emergency situations in your presence. These will attempt to alarm you to the point that you will lose your focus; thus opening the doorway for the spirit of fear to re-enter.  Warriors! You must know that you are only to respond to any situation, as you are led by the spirit of the Lord - especially when a "crisis" arises. The Lord is saying that we must remember although events may startle us and surprise us; He has already known about them before the foundation of this world! So don't waste time by becoming entangled with “last minute” situations and circumstances.   Stay so connected to the Lord that you will recognize the warning signs that He gives to you prior to the onset of tragedies, crisis and the like.   Many of these are only coming to you as a distraction in an attempt to cause you to momentary divert your attention - thus causing you to miss your strategically planned timing.

Learn to recognize ungodly fear.  Locate its access.  Then aggressively advance to eradicate it; to seal its entrance; and to replace that spirit with the power and the authority of God.

As always, stay focused and refuse to be victimized and to waste valuable time; by any invasion of ungodly fear.

“… After all, we don’t want to unwittingly give Satan an opening for yet more mischief - we’re not oblivious to his sly ways!”             II Corinthians 2:11 (The Message Bible)

It’s Already Done…Just Receive It!

“Behold! I have given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy [possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.”   Luke 10:19 (AMP)

Are you waiting for God to “give” to you something that He has already made available for you to receive?  I’ve recently been hearing quite a few people expressing that they are waiting for God to “move” in a given situation…. waiting for God to heal them; waiting for God to deliver… and the list could go on.

We must come to the realization that in most circumstances, we are waiting for God to do something that He has already made the provision for.   Usually, because we don’t have the proper knowledge (my people perish for lack of knowledge!  Hosea 4:6); we don’t know that we only have to RECEIVE the provision that has already been made available to us.  We have to also remember that our words have the power to change any situation (death and life ARE in the power of MY tongue.  Proverbs 18:21).

Here’s an example.  One Sunday morning when I awoke, my eye was swollen, red, feeling scratchy and inflamed.  Now, when I looked at it, I could have said, “I have conjunctivitis (pink eye)”.  However, I said, “Lord, I receive your healing for my eye in the name of Jesus.”  As I washed it with war salt water; I further said, “Now Lord as I do this in the natural, I expect you to apply your “Super” to my “Natural” so that this eye can RECEIVE  total healing. The entire process maybe took 5 or 10 minutes.  Then I proceeded to get ready for church.  Well, before I went to church, my eye had received the healing!

Now, I didn’t ask God to heal my eye.  I didn’t wait to “see” what was going to happen.  Why? Because He has already told me that He has given ME power over all sickness and disease.  God will never do something that He has given us the power to do.  So, I had to do my part – which was to stand on the Word of God.  Not to beg and plead with Him to do something.    Usually our problem isn’t that we don’t have the power.  Our dilemma is that we don’t know how to properly apply the power that has been given to us.   Far too often we are synonymous to a starving person, who sits beside a refrigerator which is full of cooked food; and is praying day after day for the Lord to fill their hungry stomach; and telling the Lord that they are hungry!

Healing…. For EVERY aspect of my being; spiritual, emotional, financial, etc.; has already been made available.  If I truly believe that Jesus bore all of my sicknesses and diseases (Isaiah 53:5) – then why would I have to ask God to do something that has already occurred?

Daily, our level of faith must be increased.  We must begin to believe that our God is who He proclaims to be. The reason why it is imperative that we study the names of God is so that our minds can grasp a physical concept of who God is in the realm of the Spirit.  Therefore, as we learn to continually renew our minds; then our thoughts will change; and then the words that we release from our mouths will change.   We will learn how the phrase our words so that we will release our statements from a positive rather than negative platform.   So, instead of saying, “I don’t have that much faith”,… you would say something like, “My level of faith is increasing”.  Instead of saying, “I feel sick”…. Something like, “I feel like I need to apply some healing” would be said.

I challenge you to begin to curtail the words which you release from your mouth into the realm of the spirit.

Remember……the Word of God does work…. I just have to learn how to WORK the WORD!

The Optical Illusion

The Optical Illusion

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

Visual illusions; better referred to as optical illusions; have taught us that what we think that we see, doesn’t always reveal what is actually present.  In a visual illusion, your brain attempts to process information received from your optic nerve.  However, although many people can view the same picture they will not perceive the same image.  This is thought to be because of the complexity and individuality of our brain cells; as well as all of the occurrences and information that we have received in our lifetimes. Therefore, we have learned that we can only believe about a half of what we see with our physical eye.

As the end of time as we have now perceived it quickly draws nigh, it behooves us to more eagerly develop our spiritual senses.  We must learn not to sensor everything through what we see with our physical eye, but to increase the awareness of our spirits (conscience, intuition, and communion with God)….. And to permit that knowledge to impact our soul (mind, will and emotions).

The enemy has painted most of the visual illusions that we cling to today – and that we perceive as truth.  Usually, our number one blockage or hindrance in our spiritual walk has resulted from nothing more than an optical illusion.  It’s some concept or precept that we have “viewed” and now its residue is still lingering…. preventing us from aggressively and effectively defeating the enemy….at all times.

II Corinthians 4:18 summarizes this entire concept.  Here Paul is telling us not to look at the things that we see…..because they are subject to change.  I would like to encourage you to focus more on the “weightier” things in life.  Many people will read every label prior to purchasing their food or clothing and exercise religiously. …nothing wrong here.  However, their focus on the edification of their spirit man is not as meticulous.

Let’s not longer receive the optical illusion that this world has presented.  Let’s take off the spiritual blinders….and stop living within the perimeters….the “lies” that the enemy has given to us.  Walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  We are still privy to every blessing proclaimed in Deuteronomy 28.  Don’t allow an optical illusion to deceive you!

“Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.” II Corinthians 4:18  Amplified Version

From Fetters to Freedom

From Fetters to Freedom

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron,

                                                                                                                                                                  Psalm 149;6-8

Simply because we are privy to a dimension where the abundance of the Lord is ever present and manifesting itself in our lives; we must amend our ways to be assured that we will retain all that is being given back to us.   One of the strategies to be implemented is for us to be released from our fetters… and to walk in freedom.

There was a hymn entitled, “Jesus Breaks Every Fetter”.  Even though that song is rarely heard its implication hasn’t loss it validity.  When we bring to mind thoughts concerning the word “fetter”, we can correlate them to various obstacles that the enemy attaches to us to delay our progress in the Lord.   Whether they be: areas of sin or weaknesses in the flesh; the phenomena of life; or circumstances totally beyond our control; - a fetter is anything that is tied to me which restricts my mobility and/or my advancement.

There are those things; some of which WE have permitted or instituted.  Others could have been inherited or the consequences of circumstances which were beyond our control.  Nevertheless, these obstacles still continue: to shackle, bond, chain and yoke themselves to us.  Therefore our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit is none productive.  Many times we are attempting to assist others in a deepen walk with the Lord, yet we have not been freed ourselves of our many “fetters”……  However Jesus still breaks EVERY fetter.

What are some of the evidences that our fetters have been broken?

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, my concern is to increase my relationship with the Lord - just because of who he is - not because of what he can do.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I will realize that as I increase in my love walk and in every other walk in my life - so will those with whom I am connected.  (The proof IS in the pudding!  Leaders.. We cannot any longer expect others to walk in a level of excellency and devotion that we are not committed to!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, my appetites are disciplined and my motives pure.

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, the manifestation of the enemy’s work won’t frighten me, his maneuvers don’t surprise me and his schemes can’t outwit me.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I won’t just sing, “It is Well With My Soul”, but my life will exemplify and verify so.  (By your fruit shall you be known!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, the peace of God WILL rule my mind,  I WILL walk above EVERY circumstance in this life, and I WILL remain focused on and committed to the plans and purposes  that the Lord has assigned to me.

Therefore to obtain the freedom which will permit the peace of God to continually infiltrate our lives; surpassing all understanding;…. every fetter and its suppressing power must be broken!

So ….its once again dependent upon the status of my mind! Once my mind has been liberated from its fetters – I will have the ability to be…and to maintain total freedom in every area of my life.  Then and only then will I have at my disposal the matured level of wisdom to advance from Fetters to Freedom.

Lord, I;m Available

Lord, I’m Available

Into your hands I commit my spirit….. Psalm 31:5

I recently had the opportunity to speak to someone that I hadn’t seen for quite some time.  This person is a minister and has been used mightily for and by the Lord.  When I questioned them concerning their current status; they informed me that they were not longer “interested” in ministry.

Although we all have those days when we FEEL as though it’s easier to just throw in the towel, we can’t be motivated by our feelings!  We can’t afford to permit the enemy to bring us to the conclusion that the Lord has made a mistake when He has chosen to give to us certain gifts!

So how do we keep up the momentum?  How do we remain available to the Lord year upon year upon year? How do we continue to stand - regardless?   Listed below are a few suggestions.  Always remember… although you may not be able to physically see the impact that you are making in the realm of the spirit… if you weren’t accomplishing anything – then the enemy wouldn’t try to convince you to give up!   The stronger that the desires are for you to just “give it up” - the more you should be assured that you are really a “throne in the flesh” of the enemy.  Now is not the time to take our spiritual gifts for granted. The Lord needs the availability of ALL of us more now than ever before.

We must, as endtime Saints; remain available to and for the cause of Christ; available for the move of God, available for the work of ministry and above all available to be used totally for and by the Lord.

To be certain that I remain available I must:

  1. Spend quality time in the Lord’s presence ( Matthew 6:9-15; Psalm 92:2)
  2. Develop a pattern of fasting on a regular basis  (Matthew 6:16)
  3. Read your sword daily  (Psalm 27:8)
  4. Don’t ignore the whispers of the Holy Spirit (I Kings 19:12)
  5. Live a lifestyle that is so committed to the Lord, that the devil finds no open door within me to gain an access. (Galatians 2:20,21; John 14:30b; Romans 12:1,2)
  6. Know that the Lord wants to use me,  can use me and will use me on a daily basis…IF I present yself unto Him.

Ron Kenoly expressed it this way: “If you can use anything Lord, You can use me. Take my hands Lord, take my feet, Touch my heart Lord, speak through me, If You can use anything, You can use me.

So, continue to “make yourself” available to be used of the Lord.  Remember…. Some lost soul may be waiting just for you; so be available.   Some discouraged sister or brother needs to hear your testimony/ praise report;  so be available.

Remember that the enemy is counting on you to give up or to be so “busy” that you are not available to hear the voice of God.  Think about it…. if I am not available to be used by God….…..I AM available and already being used by the enemy!!!!!!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”                                                                                                                     Galatians 2:20

Let Us Not Grow Weary

“And Let Us Not Be Weary….

We Will Reap –If We Don’t Quit”

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”         Galatians 6:9       (The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense must be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance – we will immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to persevere under misfortunes and trials; to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances… then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”.

When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl is not being eaten. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t fulfilled its purpose and yielded the benefit for which it was created.   Now… if the fruit is going to be consumed by our bodies, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be broken down and transformed into another state so that it will produce the ability to be absorbed by our bodies.  Then it will be totally useful, valuable and fulfilling its created purpose.

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure …..and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….WEARY during our processes of alteration.  Sometimes we become weary because we have focused only on our spiritual man and haven’t amended the activities that will benefit our physical man.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation.

Change requires Endurance…..and Endurance also produces Change!  It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to endure every facet of change as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change…. and not give up …..nor become weary!

Worship is NOT Superficial

Worship Is Not Superficial

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23 (ESV)

Blessing Leaders (and potential Leaders).  Today’s focus is the thought: Worship is Not Superficial. When defining the word worship, we will discover its definition is diverse; offering a suggestion of various synonyms.  For our meditation today, we will select the section which states “implying and attributing extreme honor & reverence to”.

When we consider just that portion of the definition alone, it bears witness of this one fact: “If I am to ascribe the characteristics of attributing “extreme” honor & reverence to someone or something; I must have obtained a heightened prior knowledge or an awareness of that person or object.  It is also necessary to realize that because of the in depth nature associated with this word worship, I cannot simply reduce its nature to the limits or the confines of my thoughts.   My worship for God will only be established when I realize the level of intimacy that is required for me to connect with Him in that realm.  When I haven’t properly established a worship relationship with the Lord, it is impossible for me to lead others to that place of true worship.  We must always remain cognizant of the fact that it is my responsibility to maintain the plateau of intimacy with God so that I can properly lead others into true worship. I am convinced that many leaders don’t have the type of intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit unhindered, totally focused worship.  Therefore, as I so often say; we have permitted our congregants to believe that “worship” can be reduced to the two slow songs which are sung during our quote “Praise and Worship” portion of the service.

Leaders, don’t become so preoccupied with “doing ministry” that we forsake the time to build that intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit us to worship him.

Worship involves that cherished relationship with the Lord that will overflow into my daily dealings.  When I’ve learned to worship the Lord, I’ll have no problem aligning and curtailing my flesh and its desires.

It is only when we have learned the art of true worship, that we will obtain the power to successfully defeat our adversary.  The true worship of God will avail us of the power and ability to transcend our ideologies, and conform them into those that are the expressed image of  God.

As we begin this season of change and restoration, begin to spend more time in the presence of God. .. Not for the sake of studying the Word, not in prayer - but just in His presence….not asking for anything… not decreeing and declaring ….just in His presence in fellowship with Him!

It is only when we learn to intimately commune with Him, that true worship begins.

Remember: “When I spend time IN worship, then I will be empowered TO worship.”

“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.”

Psalm 29:2

Broken Boundaries Restored

Broken Boundaries Restored

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

As we begin to restore our broken boundaries, we must realize that if our ear is not disciplined  -we will not have the ability to  recognize the prophetic instructions from the Lord.  We have been given specific orders; however, without an “ear to hear” we will continue to proceed through every day conducting “business as usual”.

To live a life that has been crucified requires that we re-establish and maintain boundaries.    Therefore, I must be determined that I will; whatever the cost; not permit the cares, pleasures and lifestyles of this world, persuade me to permit my God given boundaries to become broken.    Today, we are witnessing the effects of “broken boundaries” in our homes, our government…and what’s even worst, within the body of Christ.   The body of Christ as a whole has the power to totally uproot and overthrow every diabolical decision that our government attempts to impose upon us.   However, because we have permitted some many boundaries to become broken; the Holy Spirit who resides WITHIN us is no longer living THROUGH us.

We must at all times remain cognizant of the fact that the boundaries which God has established for our lives must remain intact.  Sadly to say; far too many of us have expanded the perimeters which God has established to guard our spirit, soul and body.  We have gradually, inch by inch removed the “ancient landmarks”.  Therefore, as a result of these broken boundaries; the body of Christ as a whole has loss her stamina, power, authority and respect.  Of course… there are a few groups here and there who are attempting to make an impact.  However, when you consider the amount of people who profess to be Christians and who have surrendered their lives to the Lord; and compare it to the influence that we are exhibiting in major decision making; it is evident that we have too many broken boundaries.

For an example; I can remember in times past when the “real” Saints didn’t play numbers; now you have houses of worship sponsoring trips to the casinos….. Broken boundaries.  Previously, Saints didn’t watch various programs on the television; now I hear and see everyone talking about the latest weekly series…… Broken boundaries.  We have also broken the boundaries when considering what we permit our spiritual diets to contain.  Most spiritual diets today aren’t composed of enough spiritual nutrition to sustain a newborn Saint…..Broken boundaries.

Let’s eagerly begin to reestablish the broken boundaries in our lives on allowing the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to truly live through us.  This means taking a non-compromising stand for everything that God opposes….regardless!  This means no negotiating or “plea bargaining” when it comes to what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we say, what we wear; our giving and our living; our dispositions and our attitudes.

So… because we have been crucified with Christ, trust God! We must tune in to that realm where the prophetic voice is as audible and natural to us as taking our next breath! We must allow the life that we now live, to be a living sacrifice of a lifestyle that exemplifies the power, and the authority of the Holy Spirit who inhabits our spiritman.  The world needs what we have.

Therefore, we must, at any cost, refuse to permit our boundaries to remain broken!  We must at any cost remain militant and determine in our quest to restore the broken boundaries. Lastly, we must at any cost maintain an alert, discerning ear; sensitive to the prophetic voice of God!

The Comma - The Resting Place

The Comma

“Be still, and know that I am God. …………..” Psalm 46:10

When using written communications to convey our thoughts to others, it is much easier for us to be understood when we use various punctuation marks.    Whether you are the writer or the reader; without the use of punctuation marks it would be virtually impossible for the written communication to be successfully comprehended.

One such marking that most of us are familiar with is the comma.  The comma, unlike the period informs us the we haven’t arrived at the end of the sentence; there is still more to come; so just take a brief pause and continue on.

Our lives are also accompanied with various “accent or punctuation marks”.  There will be times when we arrive at the place when it becomes necessary to take a brief rest – and then continue on.  In other words – we’ve arrive at a place that we know isn’t the end or the final stage of the project.  Yet, we are not feeling as though we should proceed “right now”.  This may be the time when it is necessary to take a brief pause – and then continue on.  You just might be experiencing the result of a “spiritual comma” that God has inserted into the “sentence of your life”.  God strategically places the commas in our lives where He knows that they will effectively impact us and those to whom he has called us to minister.  Don’t ignore the God inserted commas, or else the remainder of the spiritual sentence will be perplexing.  In other words, don’t push forward when God is telling you to wait.  Don’t try to MAKE God move in a given situation.  Far too often I hear people say that they are going to fast and prayer when they are faced with a difficult situation….. because they want God to change His plans concerning their situations.  Fasting doesn’t change the mind or decision of God – it changes us and increases our level of faith.  Therefore, don’t lean to your own understanding.  Seek the face of God… and walk or wait there in.

So just remember, the comma is the signal to stop briefly; and then continue on.  Don’t become too comfortable or discouraged in the “comma” place.  There is still more to be accomplished. God will use YOU to achieve all that He has promised.  Don’t become disheartened when the situations and circumstances which were once “sailing smoothly”; suddenly appear to hit a few bumps in the road…..even though you know that the journey isn’t complete.  Maybe you’ve just encounter a spiritual comma.  So remain calm, seek the face of God for any amendments that need to be implemented… and wait for the release to proceed further.

Acknowledge and appreciate the commas…. They are the brief resting places along this “sentence” of life.

And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while."……

Mark 6:31

How can I still have peace?

It doesn’t matter what I’m encountering….I can still have peace.  However I must realize that God has given to me a strategy that must be implemented.  I must also realize that peace is not the absence of adversity – but a mindset.

So… How can I renew my mind to the extent that I can receive God’s solution and apply it to every situation?   The following can assist.

P -“Presence” - If I invite the presence of God to intervene; (Exodus 33: 14)

E -“Endure”   - If I endure as a warrior, not whine like a wimp; and view

my situation as an open door and not a dead end;

                                (James 1:22; II Timothy 2:3)

A -“Ask”        - If I ask God for guidance and the proper strategy to successfully

outwit the enemy in this situation.;, and don’t just do what “I”

      think is best;  (Proverbs 3:5-7)

C -“Cry”         - If I cry out to the Lord first– and not to other people;

         (Psalm 30:2)

E -“Expect”   - If I expect and accept. Expect God to give me a strategy – so I’ll

keep an open ear  - knowing that I must accept the process.

                               (Philippians 4:13; Psalm 86:11; Psalm 25:5)

So….YES! I can still have PEACE in the midst of it all…..But the key is to:

Invite in the PRESENCE of God;  Be determined to ENDURE; ASK God for help; CRY to Him and EXPECT Him to change ME even when the situation doesn’t APPEAR to be changing.

....From the Inside Out

…..From the Inside Out

“Woe to you, Pharisees, and you religious leaders—hypocrites! You are so careful to polish the outside of the cup, but the inside is foul with extortion and greed.”

 Matthew 23:25 (The Living Bible)

We have just completed a week of time when we in the Christian arena turn our focus towards the period of temptation and persistence that our Saviour endured just for us.   This season of Lent affords us the opportunity to learn many valuable lessons from the Lord.

Christ was able to endure every temptation that He encountered because He lived His life from the inside out.  He didn’t allow the occurrences that transpired to diminish who He knew that He was.  He maintained His focus and never lost sight of His ultimate goal.  He lived His life from the inside out.

In my opinion, the duck is a perfect example for today’s meditation.  Many people don’t like to eat duck because they say that it’s too greasy.  No doubt, those of you here in America have heard the expression, “Like water rolls off of the duck’s back.” (Or something to that effect.)  Well, the reason why water will roll off of the back of a duck, is because the back of the duck is composed with glands that constantly secrete oil.  Just to summarize the whole process; when water falls on the back of the duck, the water can’t penetrate the oil covering that’s being produced – from the inside to the outside! Therefore, that water which is on the outside, has little or no effect on the duck, because of what’s on the inside of the duck.  The back of the duck is so saturated with the oil from the inside – that it has a perpetual protective shield to aid in its defense against oppositions.

As we go through this Lenten Season I would encourage you to not just give up something for a 40 day period. Why not during this period of consecration…. to allow the power of the Holy Spirit to illuminate some of the areas on the “inside” of you where He is not in full control?  This year, as we progress through the Lenten Season, let’s draw our attentions more to the Spirit realm instead of the sensual realm.  (What is discerned by our senses; what we see, hear, taste, touch and smell.)

Our only chance for successfully walking down our God ordained path, is to learn to live this life from the inside out.  What’s on the inside will come out.   Matthew 23:26 instructs us to clean the inside of the cup and the outside will be come clean.

So during this 40 day period, initiate a permanent change. Be determine to allow your “back” to become so saturated with the oil of the Holy Spirit that dwells in you; that whatever the enemy throws you way, will have no lasting effect. …… it will just roll on off……because you are living your life from the inside out!

“You’re hopeless, you religion scholars and Pharisees! Frauds! You burnish the surface of your cups and bowls so they sparkle in the sun, while the insides are maggoty with your greed and gluttony. Stupid Pharisee! Scour the insides, and then the gleaming surface will mean something.” Matthew 23:25-26 (The Message Bible)
