Worship is Not Superficial

Worship Is Not Superficial

“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23 (ESV)

Blessing Leaders (and potential Leaders).  Today’s focus is the thought: Worship is Not Superficial. When defining the word worship, we will discover its definition is diverse; offering a suggestion of various synonyms.  For our meditation today, we will select the section of the definition which states “implying and attributing extreme honor & reverence to”.

When we consider just that portion of the definition alone, it bears witness of this one fact: “If I am to ascribe the characteristics of attributing “extreme” honor & reverence to someone or something; I must have obtained a heightened prior knowledge or an awareness of that person or object.  It is also necessary to realize that because of the in depth nature associated with this word worship, I cannot simply reduce its nature to the limits or the confines of my thoughts.   My worship for God will only be established when I realize the level of intimacy that is required for me to connect with Him in that realm.  When I haven’t properly established a “worship relationship” with the Lord, it is impossible for me to lead others to that place of true worship.  We must always remain cognizant of the fact that it is my responsibility to maintain the plateau of intimacy with God so that I can properly lead others into true worship. I am convinced that many leaders don’t have the type of intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit unhindered, totally focused worship.  Therefore, as I so often say; we have permitted our congregants to believe that “worship” can be reduced to the two slow songs which are sung during our quote “Praise and Worship” portion of the service.

Leaders,  let’s not become so preoccupied with “doing ministry” that we forsake the time to build that intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit “us” to worship him.

Worship involves that cherished relationship with the Lord that will overflow into my daily dealings.  When I’ve learned to worship the Lord, I’ll have no problem aligning and curtailing my flesh and its desires to come in total agreement with God’s divine ordinances.

It is only when we have learned the art of true worship, that we will obtain the power to successfully defeat our adversary.... in our own lives as well.  The true worship of God will avail us of the power and ability to transcend our ideologies, and conform them into those that are the expressed image of God.

As we begin this season of change and restoration, begin to spend more time in the presence of God. .. Not for the sake of studying the Word, not in prayer - but just in His presence….not asking for anything… not decreeing and declaring ….just in His presence in fellowship with Him!

It is only when we learn to intimately commune with Him, that true worship begins.

Remember: “When I spend time IN worship, then I will be empowered TO worship.”

“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.”

Psalm 29:2

Broken Boundaries Restored

Broken Boundaries Restored

“I have been crucified with Christ: and I myself no longer live, but Christ lives in me. And the real life I now have within this body is a result of my trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.” Galatians 2:20

As we begin to restore our broken boundaries, we must realize that if our ear is not disciplined  -we will not have the ability to  recognize the prophetic instructions from the Lord.  We have been given specific orders; however, without an “ear to hear” we will continue to proceed through every day conducting “business as usual”.

To live a life that has been crucified requires that we re-establish and maintain boundaries.    Therefore, I must be determined that I will; without regards to the cost; not permit the cares, pleasures and lifestyles of this world, persuade me to permit my God given boundaries to become broken.    So.. I might have to eliminate some relationships, fine tune my “inner circle”, and realize that the strategies that were effective yesterday are totally irrelevant for this season!

Today, we are witnessing the effects of “broken boundaries” in our homes, our government… and what’s even worst, within the body of Christ.   The body of Christ as a whole has the power to totally uproot and overthrow every diabolical decision that our government attempts to impose upon us.   However, because we have permitted some many boundaries to become broken; the Holy Spirit who resides WITHIN us is no longer living THROUGH us.

We must at all times remain cognizant of the fact that the boundaries which God has established for our lives must remain intact.  Sadly to say; far too many of us have expanded the perimeters which God has established to guard our spirit, soul and body.  We have gradually, inch by inch removed the “ancient landmarks”.  Therefore, as a result of these broken boundaries; the body of Christ as a whole has loss her stamina, power, authority and respect.  Of course… there are a few groups here and there who are attempting to make an impact.  However, when you consider the amount of people who profess to be Christians and who have surrendered their lives to the Lord; and compare it to the influence that we are exhibiting in major decision making; it is evident that we have too many broken boundaries.

For an example; I can remember in times past when the “real” Saints didn’t play numbers; now you have houses of worship sponsoring trips to the casinos….. Broken boundaries.  Previously, Saints didn’t watch various programs on the television; now I hear and see everyone talking about the latest weekly series…… Broken boundaries.  We have also broken the boundaries when considering what we permit our spiritual diets to contain.  Most spiritual diets today aren’t composed of enough spiritual nutrition to sustain a newborn Saint…..Broken boundaries.

Let’s eagerly begin to reestablish the broken boundaries in our lives on allowing the Holy Spirit who dwells within us to truly live through us.  This means taking a non-compromising stand for everything that God opposes….regardless!  This means no negotiating or “plea bargaining” when it comes to what we do, where we go, what we eat, what we say, what we wear; our giving and our living; our dispositions and our attitudes.

So… because we have been crucified with Christ, trust God! We must tune in to that realm where the prophetic voice is as audible and natural to us as taking our next breath! We must allow the life that we now live, to be a living sacrifice of a lifestyle that exemplifies the power, and the authority of the Holy Spirit who inhabits our spiritman.  The world needs what we have.

Therefore, we must:

At any cost, refuse to permit our boundaries to remain broken!

At any cost develop a mindset that will remain militant, focused and determine in our quest to restore the broken boundaries.

At any cost maintain an alert, discerning ear; sensitive to the prophetic voice of God!

Lord, I'm Available

Lord, I’m Available

Into your hands I commit my spirit….. Psalm 31:5

I recently had the opportunity to speak to someone that I hadn’t seen for quite some time.  This person is a minister and has been used mightily for and by the Lord.  When I questioned them concerning their current status; they informed me that they were not longer “interested” in ministry.

Although we all have those days when we FEEL as though it’s easier to just throw in the towel, we can’t be motivated by our feelings!  We can’t afford to permit the enemy to bring us to the conclusion that the Lord has made a mistake when He has chosen to give to us certain gifts!

So how do we keep up the momentum?  How do we remain available to the Lord year upon year upon year? How do we continue to stand - regardless?   Listed below are a few suggestions.  Always remember… although you may not be able to physically see the impact that you are making in the realm of the spirit… if you weren’t accomplishing anything – then the enemy wouldn’t try to convince you to give up!   The stronger that the desires are for you to just “give it up” - the more you should be assured that you are really a “throne in the flesh” of the enemy.  Now is not the time to take our spiritual gifts for granted. The Lord needs the availability of ALL of us more now than ever before.

We must, as endtime Saints; remain available to and for the cause of Christ; available for the move of God, available for the work of ministry and above all available to be used totally for and by the Lord.

To be certain that I remain available I must:

1.     Spend quality time in the Lord’s presence ( Matthew 6:9-15; Psalm 92:2)

2.     Develop a pattern of fasting on a regular basis  (Matthew 6:16)

3.     Read your sword daily  (Psalm 27:8)

4.     Don’t ignore the whispers of the Holy Spirit (I Kings 19:12)

5.     Live a lifestyle that is so committed to the Lord, that the devil finds no open door within me to gain an access. (Galatians 2:20,21; John 14:30b; Romans 12:1,2)

6.     Know that the Lord wants to use me, can use me and will use me on a daily basis…IF I present myself unto Him.

Ron Kenoly expressed it this way: “If you can use anything Lord, You can use me. Take my hands Lord, take my feet, Touch my heart Lord, speak through me, If You can use anything, You can use me.

So, continue to “make yourself” available to be used of the Lord.  Remember…. Some lost soul may be waiting just for you; so be available.   Some discouraged sister or brother needs to hear your testimony/praise report; so be available.

Remember that the enemy is counting on you to give up or to be so “busy” that you are not available to hear the voice of God.  Think about it…. if I am not available to be used by God….…..I AM available and already being used by the enemy!!!!!!

I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.”                                                                                                                     Galatians 2:20

P.E.A.C.E.

“P.E.A.C.E.”

Can I still have peace?

Simply because peace is a mindset and is not determined by my current situations or circumstances; peace is always available to me.  I just need to acquire the correct tools and avail myself to the proper implementation of the same!

Tools For  Maintaining The Peace of God

P -“Presence” - If I invite the presenceª of God to intervene;

E -“Endure”   - If I endure¹ as a warrior, not whine like a wimp; and view

my situation as an open door and not a dead end;

A -“Ask”        - If I ask² God for guidance, and not just do what “I” think is best;

C -“Cry”         - If I cry³ out to the Lord first– and not to other people;

E -“Expect”   - If I expectº and accept. Expect God to give me a strategy – so I’ll

keep an open ear  - knowing that I must accept the process.

So….YES! I can still have PEACE in the midst of it all…..But the key is to:

Invite in the presence of God; Endure; Ask God for help; Cry to Him and Expect Him to change ME even when the situation doesn’t APPEAR to be changing.

a - Exodus 33: 14

1 –James 1:22; II Timothy 2:3

2 –Proverbs 3:5-7

3 – Psalm 30:2

And Let Us Not Be Weary.....

“And Let Us Not Be Weary….

We Will Reap –If We Don’t Quit”

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”         Galatians 6:9       (The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense must be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance – we will immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to persevere under misfortunes and trials; to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances… then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”.

When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl is not being eaten. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t fulfilled its purpose and yielded the benefit for which it was created.   Now… if the fruit is going to be consumed by our bodies, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be broken down and transformed into another state so that it will produce the ability to be absorbed by our bodies.  Then it will be totally useful, valuable and fulfilling its created purpose.

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure …..and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….WEARY, during our processes of alteration.  Sometimes we become weary because we have focused only on our spiritual man and haven’t amended the activities that will benefit our physical man.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation.

Change requires Endurance…..and Endurance also produces Change!  It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to endure every facet of change as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change…. and not give up …..nor become weary!

The Optical Illusion

The Optical Illusion

“There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way to death.” Proverbs 14:12

Visual illusions; better referred to as optical illusions; have taught us that what we think that we see, doesn’t always reveal what is actually present.  In a visual illusion, your brain attempts to process information received from your optic nerve.  However, although many people can view the same picture they will not always perceive the same image.  This is thought to be because of the complexity and individuality of our brain cells; as well as all of the occurrences and information that we have received in our lifetimes. Therefore, we have learned that we can only believe about a half of what we see with our physical eye.

As the end of time as we have now perceived it quickly draws nigh, it behooves us to more eagerly develop our spiritual senses.  We must learn not to sensor everything through what we see with our physical eye, but to increase the awareness of our spirits (conscience, intuition, and communion with God)….. And to permit that knowledge to impact our soul (mind, will and emotions).

The enemy has painted most of the visual illusions that we cling to today – and that we perceive as truth.  Usually, our number one blockage or hindrance in our spiritual walk has resulted from nothing more than an optical illusion.  It’s some concept or precept that we have “viewed” and now its residue is still lingering….preventing us from aggressively and effectively defeating the enemy….at all times.

II Corinthians 4:18 summarizes this entire concept.  Here Paul is telling us not to look at the things that we see…..because they are subject to change.  I would like to encourage you to focus more on the “weightier” things in life.  Many people will read every label prior to purchasing their food or clothing and exercise religiously. …nothing wrong here.  However, their focus on the edification of their spirit man is not as meticulous.

Let’s no longer receive the optical illusion that this world has presented.  Let’s take off the spiritual blinders….and stop living within the perimeters….the “lies” that the enemy has given to us.  Walk by faith, not by sight (II Corinthians 5:7).  We are still privy to every blessing proclaimed in Deuteronomy 28…. And then some!!!  Don’t allow an optical illusion to deceive you; causing you to abort or to total miss your next opportunity for advancement.

To view life only through our five senses is elementary.  Therefore, I must enhance my spiritual discernment –so that I will not be overtaken ever again by the next optical illusion that my adversary presents as truth!

Since we consider and look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal (brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting.” II Corinthians 4:18  Amplified Version

Get On You Mark.......

On your mark……Get set……WAIT!

The waiting game!  For many of us, life seems to have given us a first class seat in this section of time called “waiting”.  We seem to always think that we are ready to advance to our next place.  We seem to think that we are focused and in the correct lane….we are disciplined and in the correct position ….yet we still haven’t heard the correct sound that signals us to move forward……so we WAIT.

Waiting is a word that’s familiar to everyone – across the board.  From the youngest infant to the oldest adult: the rich, the wealthy, the poor, the educated and unlearned – everyone has had their dealings with this thing called waiting.

Although we don’t always view it as so, when we are waiting, we are actually saying, “I haven’t given up….. I’m still anticipating that something is going to happen”.

So as we wait in the physical realm; in the realm of the spirit our mindset must remain:

W - Watchful.  Maintain your attentiveness; stay on the lookout.  Don’t fall asleep!

           (I Peter 5:8)

A -  Active.  Mark time if you must – but do something! Don’t permit your spirit to become lazy.  (Proverbs 6:6)

I  -   Ideological.  Never allow your creative abilities to cease.  There are still new inventions to be discovered!  Just because you are waiting in one area doesn’t mean that you can’t progress in other areas.  (I Corinthians 2:9)

T – Truthful .  Uphold your level of integrity in word and in deed.  Don’t begin to lower your

standards nor your expectations.   (II Corinthians 8:21)

So, against popular belief… the waiting game does have its positive aspects.  However, it’s our decisions and our expectations (or the lack of them!) that permit us to make lemonade from the lemons, rather than drink its juice and complain about its tartness!

Enhanced Instruments of Righteousness

“………..but yield yourselves unto God, as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God.”  Romans 6:13b

What do your hear?  Another new sound has been dispatched from the heavens and is seeking new instruments.  As with prior sounds; this sound is seeking the instruments that have the ability to receive it and blend it properly so that it forms a new chord!

In this season, we must listen with the ear of our spirit for another new chord.  As we hear it, we must receive it into our spirits.  Then it becomes our responsibility to again share it and to instruct others in the proper disciplinary spiritual insights, which are required for them to become “new instruments”.

This new sound is unique in that it is a call to alertness, a call to dedication and a call to true holiness.  The message is the same; however the tactical maneuvers have been enhanced.  In this season; God is requiring His true worshippers to hear a sound; which has been released from a dimension that has not previously been available to them.

As this new sound is received here on earth, then again blended by many (unified) and released back to the Lord - it will ascend as one voice; one perfected sound unto the Lord.  Although in the realm of the spirit - we may hear several complexed chords they will still ascend as one voice; one perfected praise unto the Lord.

This new sound, once we have received it into our spirits, will enable our souls to become transformed into the expressed mind and will of God. Now, at this point, our minds will have the capability of becoming renewed, and our bodies will be disciplined enough to be brought under the subjection of the Holy Ghost; and presented as a living sacrifice.

Many prophetic gatherings - true prophetic gatherings, are receiving the manifestation and the divine presence of the Lord as never before, simply because they have disciplined their spirits; and have heard this new sound.  No more “church” as usual!  It’s a new day and there’s a new sound that needs to be released among the people of God – by those who have the maturity to hear it.

This new sound - prophetic in nature, has no limits and no boundaries! Yet, its nature and it focus is discipline, its character is divine and its application is strategic.

Leaders, Warriors, the new sound has been released…..Have You Heard It?

They Are Only A Weight!

….They are Only A Weight

“Do you see what this means—all these pioneers who blazed the way, all these veterans cheering us on? It means we’d better get on with it. Strip down, start running—and never quit! No extra spiritual fat, no parasitic sins. Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in.”  Hebrews 12:1 (The Message Bible)

Today the Lord has said that we are running this race…..and we are running well….however we are still carrying too much baggage.  God has said that we are still attempting to drag and pull everyone with us to our next place in Him.  Some – NO…. most of the people with whom you communicate on a daily basis are not ready to go with you!  They haven’t made the proper preparations and advancements in the realm of the spirit.

Everyone will not, has not and cannot receive nor embrace the mantle that the Lord has given unto you. They are just not ready to go where you are going.  The pace will be too rapid; the journey too long; the mission too intense and the level of strategic maneuvers too in-depth.  Therefore, even without your knowledge, they have become the hindrance – the weight, which is preventing you from running with the speed and endurance that you know you possess.

The Lord has also said: “In this new dimension, we must stay free, move quickly, cautiously, and quietly.  Don’t disclose the information that I give to you to everyone.  Only reveal what I tell you to reveal – to whom I direct you.  View everything, everything through the eyes of your spirit.  Listen through the ears of your spirit.  Sensitize and synchronize your spirit to the emotions of my Spirit – not your mind.  Rest in me to the point that nothing “catches” you in a state of being “unaware”.  Fear no man nor his position.  Go where I send you.  They are already waiting and expecting your arrival.”

Note: The Lord has also said that I am not to further explain or add anything else to this message.  Those who are to receive more – will get it directly from Him!

……And it is so!

From Fetters To Freedom

From Fetters to Freedom

Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishment on the peoples, To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron,

                                                                                                                                                                  Psalm 149;6-8

Simply because we are privy to a dimension where the abundance of the Lord is ever present and manifesting itself in our lives; we must amend our ways to be assured that we will retain all that is being given back to us.   One of the strategies to be implemented is for us to be released from our fetters… and to walk in freedom.

There was a hymn entitled, “Jesus Breaks Every Fetter”.  Even though that song is rarely heard its implication hasn’t loss it validity.  When we bring to mind thoughts concerning the word “fetter”, we can correlate them to various obstacles that the enemy attaches to us to delay our progress in the Lord.   Whether they be: areas of sin or weaknesses in the flesh; the phenomena of life; or circumstances totally beyond our control; - a fetter is anything that is tied to me which restricts my mobility and/or my advancement.

There are those things; some of which WE have permitted or instituted.  Others could have been inherited or the consequences of circumstances which were beyond our control.  Nevertheless, these obstacles still continue: to shackle, bond, chain and yoke themselves to us.  Therefore our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit is none productive.  Many times we are attempting to assist others in a deepen walk with the Lord, yet we have not been freed ourselves of our many “fetters”……  However Jesus still breaks EVERY fetter.

What are some of the evidences that our fetters have been broken?

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, my concern is to increase my relationship with the Lord - just because of who he is - not because of what he can do.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I will realize that as I increase in my love walk and in every other walk in my life - so will those with whom I am connected.  (The proof IS in the pudding!  Leaders.. We cannot any longer expect others to walk in a level of excellency and devotion that we are not committed to!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, my appetites are disciplined and my motives pure.

¨ When Jesus has broken every iron fetter, the manifestation of the enemy’s work won’t frighten me, his maneuvers don’t surprise me and his schemes can’t outwit me.

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, I won’t just sing, “It is Well With My Soul”, but my life will exemplify and verify so.  (By your fruit shall you be known!)

¨ When Jesus has broken every fetter, the peace of God WILL rule my mind,  I WILL walk above EVERY circumstance in this life, and I WILL remain focused on and committed to the plans and purposes  that the Lord has assigned to me.

Therefore to obtain the freedom which will permit the peace of God to continually infiltrate our lives; surpassing all understanding;…. every fetter and its suppressing power must be broken!

So ….its once again dependent upon the status of my mind! Once my mind has been liberated from its fetters – I will have the ability to be…and to maintain total freedom in every area of my life.  Then and only then will I have at my disposal the matured level of wisdom to advance from Fetters to Freedom.

Was That God's Voice?

Was That God’s Voice?

“and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice.  And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” John 10:4 &5

Many of you have asked me from time to time questions concerning the ability to distinguish the voice of God from your own thoughts and from the noise of the enemy.

As the end of time as we know it draws nigh, we have to maintain an alertness that will not permit the advancements of modern technology to further null or desensitize our natural abilities.  When we look in retrospect at those who have lived in previous generations – we will observe that they possessed the ability to be much wiser than we are today.  Our ancestors may not have had all of the “gadgets” that we now have, but they had the ability to use their natural senses in ways that are not common to us.

Just to side track for a minute.  We must be aware of the attack that has come against the verbal communication skills of our younger generation.  One of the end time strategies of our adversary is to get them to become so dependent on their devices that their brains lose their desire to communicate verbally.  Therefore, now we have a generation who can sit for hours – in the same room – and not verbally say a single word to each other!  But….will text each other instead of verbally talking. Can you see the strategy?  If they don’t value their ability to verbally communicate with one another, how can they comfortably verbally communicate with God? If they don’t verbally communicate, how can they have the ability to verbally bring a halt to the enemy’s devices?  Remember that death and life are where? ….. In the power of the tongue….the spoken word!

Ok …let’s get back on today’s thought.  To be able to recognize the voice of God we must learn more about Him, and build a relationship with Him.  This is accomplished by spending valuable time in His presence and studying His word to the point that we will know exactly who He is.  When you were a child, no doubt there were times when your parents may not have been present.  However, because you had spent time in their presence and had come to know them, you knew whether you could or could not adhere to certain behavior patterns.  You knew your limits because you knew your parents.  You could be in a crowded area; and if they called to you, you knew exactly who was calling you.  Why? Because you KNEW them.  You knew the sound of their voice because you had spent time in their presence.

How can a bank teller know an authentic bill from a counterfeit?  Because they have studied the appearance and texture of real thing to the degree that they “know it”. So, how can we know the voice of God? By studying the real thing until we “know it”!  When we truly know God, then we will know His voice.  When we truly know God, we will know what behavior patterns are in accord with who He is.  When we truly know God, our thoughts, nor the noise of the enemy will sound the same in our ears, nor feel the same in our spirits.  When we truly know God, we will know what He desires, what He agrees with and what He want us to accomplish.

“Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me….” Matthew 10:29a

No More Fear....Just FAITH!

No More Fear …..Just Faith!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”.                                                                                                                                                 I John 4:18

In what area of your life fear has become your favorite pillow, your warm comforter or your pair of fuzzy slippers?  Or maybe your escape from fear leads you to binges of over or under eating, excessive spending sprees, or becoming involved in behavior patterns that are totally ungodly.

The spirit of fear is always looking for opportunities to enter, dominate and paralyze us.  Usually, when the time arises for us to embark upon and advance into a new place in the Lord, he (the spirit of fear) – will faithfully grace our stage for a grand performance!  In other words that spirit of fear will always seek to gain an entrance into our spirit man – and play a major role in preventing us from moving forward in the Lord.

However it’s time for us to “take the bull by the horns” and aggressively pursue our next adventure in the Lord.  Remember, walking in faith isn’t always walking in the absence of fear.  There will be times when you will have to move forward while “feeling” afraid….  But you must continue to advance.  If your level of faith is going to increase, you can’t stand still and wait until you don’t feel afraid.

I would like to encourage you to embrace the prayer below that I had written quite a few years ago concerning the spirit of fear.  Remember….you are in control and the decision is yours.  Your actions will always reveal whether you have chosen to SIT in fear or the WALK by faith.

Fear Be Gone!

F

ather God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door.  I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

Psalm 56:4 “When I am afraid, I will trust in you”.

The Comma ….. The Resting Place

“Be still, and know that I am God. …………..” Psalm 46:10

When using written communications to convey our thoughts to others, it is much easier for us to be understood when we use various punctuation marks.    Whether you are the writer or the reader; without the use of punctuation marks it would be virtually impossible for the written communication to be successfully comprehended.

One such marking that most of us are familiar with is the comma.  The comma, unlike the period informs us the we haven’t arrived at the end of the sentence; there is still more to come; so just take a brief pause and continue on.

Our lives are also accompanied with various “accent or punctuation marks”.  There will be times when we arrive at the place when it becomes necessary to take a brief rest – and then continue on.  In other words – we’ve arrive at a place that we know isn’t the end or the final stage of the project.  Yet, we are not feeling as though we should proceed “right now”.  This may be the time when it is necessary to take a brief pause – and then continue on.

You just might be experiencing the awareness of a “spiritual comma” that God has inserted into the “sentence of your life”.  God strategically places the commas in our lives where He knows that they will effectively impact us and those to whom he has called us to minister.  Don’t ignore the God inserted commas, or else the remainder of the spiritual sentence will be perplexing.  In other words, don’t push forward when God is telling you to wait.  Don’t try to MAKE God move in a given situation.  Far too often I hear people say that they are going to fast and prayer when they are faced with a difficult situation….. because they want God to change His plans concerning their situations.  Fasting doesn’t change the mind or decision of God – it changes us and increases our level of faith.  Therefore, don’t lean to your own understanding.  Seek the face of God… and walk or wait there in.

So just remember, the comma is the signal to stop briefly; and then continue on.  Don’t become too comfortable or discouraged in the “comma” place.  There is still more to be accomplished. God will use YOU to achieve all that He has promised.  Don’t become disheartened when the situations and circumstances which were once “sailing smoothly”; suddenly appear to hit a few bumps in the road…..even though you know that the journey isn’t complete.  Maybe you’ve just encounter a spiritual comma.  So remain calm, seek the face of God for any amendments that need to be implemented… and wait for the release to proceed further.

Acknowledge and appreciate the commas…. They are the brief resting places along this “sentence” of life.

And He said to them, "Come away by yourselves to a lonely place and rest a while."……

Mark 6:31

The /virtures of Victory

The Virtues of Victory

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”

                                                                                                            I John 5:4

What are some of the factors that will assist us as we strive to remain victorious?  How is  victory determined?  Here’s a simple acrostic.

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a mental image of my future state.

Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit increase by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening.

Therefore to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly and powerfully intensify every

area of my life that exhibits a positive nature.

But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make

progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;  Jude 20

                  (AMP)

C -    Concentrate – Concentration equals an ability to focus.  Victory is never accomplished by

one who has loss their ability to maintain their focus.

And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on

the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2

T -    Trust – to gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels – from the inside out.

                  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5; Psalm 146:3 (ESV)

O -   Opposition – Accept the fact that there will always be oppositions; some will edify, some

will challenge and some are sent to destroy. To be victorious; I must possess the ability

to differentiate; to avoid…through ignorance self-sabotage.

....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the

                  world.” John 16:33

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.

To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.

                   Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

Y -   Yoked - To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive burden; and only become

yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s plan and purposes for my

           life.

“….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

We can also observe that the letter “Y” is the last letter in the word victory.  The shape of this letter reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance forward.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”?

The answer: To have a Vision; To Intensify my actions; To value the relevance of Consecration; To free up my Trust channels;  To expect Opposition,  To obey the Rules and To become Yoked only to what is ordained and established by Kingdom Principles.

“Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

“The New Prophetic Sound….Have you heard it?”

 I will sing a new song to you, O God…..”  Psalm 144:9

What do you hear?  A new sound has been dispatched from the heavens and it is seeking new instruments.  This sound is seeking to reside within the instruments which have the ability to sense, grasp and blend it properly - thus forming a new chord!

In this season, we must listen with the ear of our spirit for additional new chords.  As we hear, we must receive into our spirit-man the revelatory sounds which will usher us into a new prophetic time of worship.  Our number one weapon during this end -time season is worship.  Not the worship of times past, but an enhanced worship which is capable of permitting us to receive from the Lord the end-time strategy.  That strategy which will bring a total transformation of our thought patterns, methodologies and “religious” convictions.  That strategy which will usher us through economic crises, atmospheric irregularities and terroristic threats.  That strategy which will enable us to remain totally focused and unmovable in the midst of every adversity.  That strategy that will permit us to be engulfed with the peace and presence of God – regardless.

After we have received, it then becomes our responsibility to share the essence of the new chord and to instruct others in the proper disciplinary spiritual insights, which are required for them to become “new instruments”.

As this new sound is received here on earth, then blended by many, we will release it back to the Lord.   Upon its ascension it is heard as one voice; one perfected sound unto the Lord.  Although in the realm of the spirit-we may hear several complexed chords, they will still ascend as one voice; one perfected praise unto the Lord.

This new sound, once we have received it into our spirits, will also enable our souls to become transformed into the expressed mind and will of God. Without the acknowledgement of this sound, our minds do not have the ability to embrace the “renewal process” (Romans 12:1).  Without renewed minds we are not equipped with the necessary format nor the discipline to govern our bodies, and to bring them under the subjection of the Holy Spirit.  We have no true revelation of how to become presented as a living sacrifice.

Many prophetic gatherings - true prophetic gatherings, are receiving the manifestation and the divine presence of the Lord as never before, simply because they have heard the new sound.

This new sound - prophetic in nature, has no limits and no boundaries! Yet, its nature is disciplined, its character is divine and its application is strategic.

Leaders, Warriors, the new sound has been released…..Have You Heard It?

Day 30 - The Day of Evangelism

Day 30—The Day of Evangelism

 Ha'ed Ha-Ne'eman”
Jesus -The Faithful Witness (Rev. 1:5).

“……………Grace be unto you, and peace, from him which is, and which was, and which is to come; and from the seven Spirits which are before his throne; And from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, and the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,                                                              Revelation 1:4 & 5

             Read: Revelation 3:14 John 8:14 Proverbs 14:5

In these remaining days of this consecration, let us enhance and embrace the mandate that God though Jesus has given to each and every one of us.  The concept which is contained in what we refer to as, “The Great commission”.

The Scriptures reveal that Jesus illustrated to us the importance of being that faithful witness in every aspect of life.  Therefore no matter what we are experiencing, we should remember that we are undergoing: the good, the bad and the ugly; for no other reason than to be a faithful witness to the awesomeness of God our Father.  We are called to endure as good soldiers, and to remind everyone that our God is still the Lord over every circumstance.

So Lord, I ask for your assistance in altering my outlook on evangelism.  May my concepts on evangelism not remain condensed to the notion of distributing tracts or specific “outreach programs”.   May my attitude emanate from the viewpoint that I am God’s evangelist “24 - 7 - 365”. May I remember that I am to be a faithful witness for the Lord on a daily basis through my: lifestyle, appetites, desires, conversations and even my appearance.   May I always remember that Jesus, as that faithful witness, never lost His focus; nor permitted the daily occurrences of life to persuade Him or cause Him not to be faithful in His commitment to you, His Father.  May I no longer relinquish or diminish the power and presence of the indwelling power of the Holy Ghost by stating, “Well I’m not Jesus”.  May I now advance towards the walk of maturity and willingly submit, surrender and transform myself to mirror: “I CAN do all things through Christ who gives me the strength”……even become a faithful witness when I, myself may not “feel” up to par.  I will continue to press pass anything that I personally am experiencing.  I will seize every opportunity to bring an awareness of your love to everyone…. Especially to those who do not know you as their Lord or Saviour.

May I become infectious with a never dying desire to “needs go through my Samaria” at any cost; to experience those “uncommon” situations that are necessary in these times.

I thank you my  Ha'ed Ha-Ne'eman” that my thirst for the unsaved will permit me to intensively heed to every inkling that the Holy Spirit places within me.  I will not become comfortable in using outdated methods of evangelism – but will adhere to your divine wisdom which will enable me to be an effective evangelist today and always.

I decree and declare that it is so…..In the name of Jesus.  Amen

Day 26 - The Day of Servanthood

Day 26—The Day of Servanthood

 Eved HaKadosh

Jesus, The Holy Servant – (Acts 4:27)

“Indeed Herod and Pontius Pilate met together with the Gentiles and the people of Israel in this city to conspire against your holy servant Jesus, whom you anointed.”  Acts 4:27 NIV

Read: Matthew 20:26-28 (NIV); I Corinthians 7:22 (NASV); Philippians 2:7 (NIV); I Corinthians 9:19 (NIV)

Prayer of Servanthood © 2003

(Extracted from my book, “Because I Know Your Word, I STAND” @2003)

Father God I thank you for the opportunity to be used of the Holy Spirit to minister to your people.......

Therefore, I have come to the realization that if I am to lead effectively, I must first become a servant.  I will therefore refine my “servanthood mentality” to the upmost.

As I seek to obtain a more in-depth perception of those whom you have given me to serve, may I continue to curtail or “redirect” my own opinions.  May I submit to the spirit of humility that is required of me, to serve you effectively through serving them.

Lord, I realize the mandate on my life to constantly cultivate every area of my being.  I will never permit pride to mask itself in my life, thus enabling me to become nonchalant, self-satisfied, or complacent in my relationship with you.

You require an excellent commitment as a servant.  I therefore decree to align every aspect of my life to display the same.  I will continue to press into your sovereignty; as you servant.  I will lead with integrity, with expectation and with dedication…as your servant.  I am a faithful and obedient steward over all that you have positioned in my charge….as your servant This places me in the position to be totally used of you as your proficient servant at all times and in every situation that I may embark upon.

Daily may I continue to realize that I if I am going to be your profitable servant, I must strive, with my entire being to: love the unlovable, teach the unteachable, and reach the unreachable. Then and only then will I be able to demonstrate the servanthood qualities displayed by Christ, and have at my disposal the mentality to serve you to the fullest, by serving all men.

I decree and declare that it is so…..In the name of Jesus.  Amen!

Day 25—The Day of Establishing Priorities

Today O God, may I not provoke your anger.

El KANNA”

(The Jealous God – Exodus 20:5)

You shall not bow down to them or worship them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, punishing the children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation of those who hate me,Exodus 20:5

“El ZELOO”

(The jealous God – James 4:4&5)

Adulterers and adulteresses! Do you not know that friendship with the world is enmity with God? Whoever therefore wants to be a friend of the world makes himself an enemy of God. Or do you think that the Scripture says in vain, “The Spirit who dwells in us yearns jealously”?                      James 4:4-5 NKJV

Read James 4

When we refer to the words jealous or jealously, normally, we relate to them from a negative prospective.  However, there are always at least two sides to every coin.

Every attribute of God is still an expression of His love for us.  It is because of that love, that He only desires for us to acquire the very best in every arena.  Many times, because we don’t fully understand the total concept of God’s love for us; we think that He has established unrealistic demands or limits on us.  God’s guidelines for our lives, are always motivated from a perspective of genuine love, true love – the which we have no true concept.  If we could ever totally understand His love – then we would have no problem adhering to His word – Regardless.

When in our lives, we have not received the proper application of unselfish love, then, we in return are more prone to lack the ability to properly love God.  In life, this is the reason why we can willingly and willfully disobey Him and reject His love.  Whenever we decide to walk according to our own desires or to delight ourselves in what the world has to offer; we are rejecting the love of God. In reality I am saying – “God I Still Don’t Understand Your Love For Me!”

The Message Bible states James 4:4-5 this way. “You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.”

So Father God I will continue to keep you as the focal point of my life.  In my list of priorities, I will esteem you.  I will bring an amended consciousness to your love for me.  Because I understand your unselfish, “no holds barred” for love for me, I will return the same.  May I always remember that everything I do must be for no other reason - than to express to you and show others my love for you. Anything that has moved you from your place of supremacy in my life; be it prestigious positions, business or personal relationships, money, assets – WHATEVER – will now be moved a position of subordination to my love and affection for you.  I will no longer “cheat on you” Lord.   You are number one and my actions and motives will reflect the same.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Storms don’t come to stay…they come and pass.

Therefore, Oh Lord, may I always retain my focus – regardless to the severity of any storm that I may encounter.  May I never permit the tragedies, the abrupt and sudden onset of negative  situations; to overtake my mind or emotions.  May I always find the comfort and peace that I need, in my assurance of who you are my Jehovah El Ha-Melitz

Every storm has a purpose.   You have fore warned us that in this world we will have trouble, trials, and tribulations - storms.  However, you have also said to be of good cheer because you have overcome the world.  Therefore, since you have successfully overcome all that this world has presented to you - I also am an overcomer.

When I reflect, I can hear my Grandmother saying that the darkest hour is just before dawn.  So Lord, may I always take comfort in knowing that the sun WILL always appear again.  May I perpetually find comfort in you, Jehovah El Ha-Melitz .  May I stand in the midst of every storm and still yet declare that you are Lord.

May I remember that every storm has been orchestrated with the correct timing and the correct nature to push me towards my destiny.  May I always trust and cling to your immutable anchor.  May I never cease to find solace in the guidance of your omniscient and omnipotent eye.
