Day 8 - The Day of Strength

Day 8—The Day of Strength

Lord, YOU are my strength!

“JEHOVAH UZZI”

(The Lord my strength - Psalms 28:7)

“JEHOVAH TSURI”

(O Lord my strength - Psalm 19:14)

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. “  Psalm 73:26                                                  New Living Translation (©2007)

Read Psalm 28 & Psalm 73

As we have daily encountered the circumstances of life, we have realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but strength of the Lord.

The word in the above text for strength translates as “rock”.  Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you are still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge you in all of my ways.  Daily may I remember that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock, that pillar and that fortress forever in my life.    Daily may I remain cognizant of the fact that “In Times Like These”…I have an anchor; my anchor holds…. And it grips that you…. that solid Rock!

So Lord, when everything: every foundation, every prop, every support system that has been erected in my life—is shaken…. “when the earth all around me is sinking sand”; on Christ that solid rock I’ll stand!  When I need shelter, when I need a friend; “I go to the rock”.   May I never, never, never forget that YOU are my strength…..my rock.

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 7 - The Day of Mercy

Day 7—The Day of Mercy

May I learn to extend the mercy that I’ve received from you Lord

“ELOHE CHASEDDI”

(The God of my mercy - Psalms 59:10)

“The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. “ Lamentations 3:22 & 32
English Standard Version (©2001)

Read Lamentations 3 & Psalm 59

Lord, where would I be today if you had not extended to me an inexhaustible supply of your mercy?  May I remain humbled; may I remain appreciative; may I remain grateful; may I never ever forget that I am not consumed by the consequences of the deeds done in this life - just because of your mercy.

May I now O Lord, receive such an overwhelming revelation of your love that I have the ability to offer your mercy to all.

As I enter the second phase of this Consecration, I thank you in advance for the tenacity and endurance to persevere and conquer every obstacle and every temptation that will be directed towards me. May I use the concept of your undying, inexhaustible mercy as the foundation to anchor and sustain me now and in the days ahead.

I reflect on the past week and rely on those character qualities to fortify me for the weeks ahead.  Let me remember that you are my: “JEHOVAH El ELOHIM” (The Lord God of Gods); my “El SIMCHATH GILI” (God my exceeding Joy); my “JEHOVAH MEPHALTI” (The Lord my Deliverer); my “JEHOVAH BORE” (The Lord Creator); my “El NORE” (God that forgave); my JEHOVAH El EMETH” (Lord God of truth); and above all my “ELOHE CHASEDDI” (The God of my mercy).

Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Hallelujah!

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen

Day 6 - The Day of Truth

Day 6—The Day of  Truth

Today, Lord I embrace your truth.

JEHOVAH El EMETH”

(Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5)

“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”                                                                                                                                    Psalm 25:5

Read Psalm 31

Within today’s arena, there has been such a distortion of what is really “truth”, that without the indwelling guidance and direction of Holy Spirit we will be lead down the path of error.

Many foundational concepts that were once upheld as the truth have now been replaced with the cunning influences of the enemy.    Not only has our government and its judicial system strayed from the truth, what is even more disheartening is that the body of Christ is beginning to lose its authenticity concerning what is truth.

We must now as never before plunge into the truth of God which He has revealed to us in His Word.   We must embrace it with a “bulldog” type of tenacity.   As we embrace what is truth, it then becomes our responsibility to enlighten those to whom we come in contact with.  It is our mandate to read the truth, understand the truth, and above all apply the truth to every area of our lives.

As the fast approaching end of time as we now know it draws nigh, the kingdom of darkness will cunningly attempt to discredit the truth even the more.  However, God is truth and we must continue to proclaim His truth, avail ourselves of His truth and uphold His authentic Kingdom principles that He has given to us.

If we adhere to the truth and allow it to infiltrate our minds, then we will have to ability to discern error immediately.  SAINTS don’t be blindsided – this is an urgent plea.  We cannot afford to be passively ignorant concerning what is truth.  Time is of a grave essence.  We MUST, by any and every means necessary “raise the bar” and live daily a life founded on “JEHOVAH El EMETH”.

Lord, my plea today is that you assist me as I pray for a keener, endtime discernment.  Jehovah El Emeth establish a supernatural alarm system over ever portal that permits an entrance or access to my spirit.  May I immediately become aware of every diabolical intruder that attempt to enter.  I vow to never yield, entertain or compromise with err; thus weakening the heighten level of integrity that you have ordained for me.  I will be one of the entime warriors who will embrace your truth and enlighten others of the same.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 5 - The Day of Forgiveness

Day 5—The Day of  Forgiveness

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read Psalm 99 & I John 1

Without getting an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for us, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness.

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.  Inevitably, when we increase and engulf an awareness of God’s love—then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  Forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive El Nore’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness!

When they are offended, people who have still not exceled in the wisdom of the Lord will make the statement, “I’ll forgive them; but I won’t forget what they’ve done”.   What a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to decide that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders…while remaining totally cognizant of their offenses toward me!  Hallelujah!

Lord may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 4 - The Day of Deliverance

Day 4—The Day of Deliverance

Lord you are my ultimate Deliverer

“JEHOVAH MEPHALTI”

(The Lord my Deliverer - Psalm 18:2)

“Surely you shall deliver me from the snare of the fowler and from the noisesome pestilence” Psalm 91:3

Read Psalm 18 & Psalm 91

The Bible displays are least four concepts for the word deliverance.

Briefly: (1) "to deliver out of the hands of..., to escape." We can find this example in the Hebrew word “Natsal” (Strong's #5337)

(2) "drawing someone to one's self." – “Rhuomai” (Strong's #4506)

(3) "to deliver into the hands of...for the purpose of judgment."  -  “Nathan(Strong's #5414)

(4) "to have ample space between oneself and one's enemies." “Yasha” (Strong's #3467)

Therefore today we can stand assured that whatever our need is concerning deliverance; our Jehovah Mephalti is well able to manifest it.  When we combine the four definitions above we can comprehend that our God will not only rescue of His people from the dominion of Satan and the world system, but in the process of rescuing and delivering from, He will draw and deliver us unto Himself.  One commentary summarizes the entire deliverance process as:  “To be removed by God from the hand of the enemy and drawn close to Himself, from which position God places us in confrontation with the enemy on God’s own terms, in order for us to gain victory and defeat the enemy, and to experience freedom from oppression in an ample and secure place.”

As you seek your Jehovah Mephalti today, ask Him to reveal to you the areas in your life where total deliverance has not yet occurred - as well as any obstacles and road blocks that are still preventing you from obtaining your total victories.

Today I will embrace every concept of deliverance.  I will also never permit my mind to return to its former state.  Therefore, my deliverance will produce to a lifetime of freedom ….never, ever to be bound again.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 2 - The Day of Joy

Day 2-The Day of Joy

You O Lord are the source of my joy

“El SIMCHATH GILI”

(God my exceeding Joy - Psalm 43:4)

“……...This day is sacred to our Lord. Do not grieve, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.”                                                        Nehemiah 8:10

Read Psalm 43 and Nehemiah 8

Today, Lord may I begin to comprehend that you ARE my joy.   May I realize that my mind must be renewed to the concept, that my ability to remain joyful (full of joy) in the midst of adversity, is one of the battles that must be won.  Consequently, Lord I will totally understand that you and you alone are the nucleus of my joy.  Everything that is necessary for my “JOY” has its basis, its focus and its core emanating from you Lord.

Therefore today I invite you, El Simchath Gili to infiltrate my mind, thus permitting me to remain joyful throughout this day.  I will not allow any circumstance that may arise today cause me to lose my focus.

So I thank you now, El Simchath Gili for your guidance, direction and the provision of your “joy” - that will be required for this day.  May the joy that you bring empower me and offer to me the foundation to stand strong today and always.

May I continue to reflect on the strength and encouragement of our patriots who walked by faith as they sang:

“This joy that I have, the world didn’t give it and the world can’t take it away.”

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Blessings of the New Year

Every Blessing of the New Year is YOURS!

In our ministry one of the times that we embark upon a consecration is at the beginning of January.  This period extends for 21 days during which we daily focus on a different character quality.  Some are also partaking of the Daniel Fast.  The food guidelines are listed separately.

I would also like to remind you to seek the Lord for the wisdom and the endurance to fulfill every commitment made unto Him.  Far too often we are doing the same things, year after year; same consecrations, same types of fasting etc .  Then we become discouraged when we obtain the same results as in previous times.

Stretch your faith...step up your game.....  place a demand in the realm of the spirit!
************************************************************************************************************************

Day 1—The Day of Reverence

I reverence you

“JEHOVAH El ELOHIM”

(The Lord God of Gods - Joshua 22:22)

“As the deer pants for flowing streams, so my soul pants for you, O God. “                                                                                          Psalm 42:1

Read Joshua 22 & Psalm 42

Lord, as I reverence you today - I am aware of the fact that diabolical plots, plans and schemes have been emitted from the kingdom of darkness in an attempt to lessen my reverence for you.  In this dimension, I must therefore continue to create an immutable foundation, which possesses the necessary components, upon which I will maintain a stable platform.  It is essential therefore, if I am going to increase in the depth off my reverence for you, then …………... I MUST “P.A.N.T.”  -

P - Position & Pour - (Psalm 31:5)

Position myself to be used of God, as well as the continual process of pouring out of myself before the Lord.

A - Align -  (Proverbs 3:5; Psalm 51)

Align my entire being (inclusive of my thoughts, actions and motives) to the obedience of everything that God has decreed for ME.

N - Nourish - (II Timothy 2:15)

Discipline myself to the concept of “daily” nourishing my spirit man by the studying and APPLICATION of the same.

T - Turn - (Psalm 101:5; 2 Timothy 2:22)

Turn away from any and everything that doesn't assist in the growth, maturity, or maintenance of my entire being.

So as I begin this 21 day consecration, Lord I openly acknowledge the fact that I will be launched into a position of reverence for you that will place a demand on my faith channels.

Lastly, I will permanently eradicate and no longer tolerant anything that compromises my reverence for you.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Who or What Is Your Strong Tower?

Who or What is Your Strong Tower?

“The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous man runs into it and is safe.”

                                                                                                                            Proverbs 18:10

Although we might not realize it, we all have a strong tower.  Our strong tower can be identified by the stronghold(s) that are apparent in our lives.  Our ability to endure in the times of adversity, calamity and devastation is dependent upon the strength of whatever is supporting us – and the guidelines that are already established in our minds.

Proverbs 18:10 tells us that the NAME of the Lord is a strong tower.  So this is establishing that it doesn’t matter whatever oppositions may come my way – if I can attach a name to that “problem” – the NAME of the Lord will override that adverse situation.  Every tower in our lives has the ability to become subjected to the strongest tower – which should be the Lord.  For example– cancer is only a name; lack - only a name; poverty – only a name; it doesn’t matter what NAME something has been assigned.  If you can identify it by ITS name; then there is another NAME that will overpower, override and completely eradicate that situation.  Hallelujah!!!

However, usually our problem is that we have “ungodly strongholds” established in our minds.  Therefore, we have conditioned ourselves to run into the lesser towers instead of the ultimate Strong Tower. Nahum 1:7 reminds us that the Lord is a good and strong hold in the day of trouble.   So since He is a “strong hold” – we should establish Him as our “stronghold”.

Now in reverse, Proverbs 12:12 states that the wicked desire the stronghold of evildoers (NIV).  (Note: there is a difference between the wicked and the unsaved; you can be saved and still have wicked ways!)

So, begin to recondition mind – prior to the onset of trouble.  Start by daily confessing – out loud - my mind is renewed! Confess that, “Lord, you are my strong tower and my stronghold”.  Then in the natural – you must call upon the Lord FIRST when problems or adverse conditions arise.  Instead of running to your phone, instead of texting someone, instead of running to: FB, Twitter, Instagram, or Periscope – Go to the Lord first!

It’s only when we learn to acknowledge Him FIRST in ALL of our ways that we can make the statement that He is the Lord of our lives…that He is our strong tower.  Then we will yield to His guidance and He will be able to direct our path and give us the peace that surpasses all understanding….. allowing us to be more than conquerors – REGARDLESS!

“Where does your security lie? Is God your refuge, your hiding place, your stronghold, your shepherd, your counselor, your friend, your redeemer, your Saviour, your guide? If He is, you don't need to search any further for security.”                                                   Elisabeth Elliot

Tenacity to Endure

Tenacity To Endure

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

In this season it is imperative that you don’t give up!  We are all on the verge of receiving from the Lord all that He has promised.  Don’t get distracted.  Don’t become weary.  Don’t lose your focus.  Here’s another prayer that the Lord had given to me.  Be Blessed.

Grateful For Your Tenacity (©2003)

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to you to acknowledge that “tenacity” is needed to accomplish your divine purpose in my life.  So I come to you now, EARLY. At the beginning of this time; of my life.  Since today is the first day of the rest of my life, I have come at the start of this new season, with the realization that I am in a new “place in life”.  For this day has never been seen prior to its awakening.  Therefore, I am in a place that I have not yet experienced.

I thank you for your diligence, your perseverance, your endurance, your stamina, your assiduity, your determination - that I now possess to be the warrior that you have decreed me to be.

So now Lord, I stand on Romans 8:36-39 and declare that in all things I am more than a conqueror.  I acknowledge that I already have the tenacity required to receive the manifestation of every blessing that you have outlined for me in your word…simply because as these verses denote – your love for me will never fail.

I will therefore never permit any obstacle or phenomenon in this life to hold me captive.  I will never permit any thought pattern that is contrary to your divine direction to invade my conscience or sub-conscience intellect.

As I have become more tenacious while studying your word; You have revealed your wisdom,

As I have become more tenacious in times of disappointment; You have revealed your   unconditional love and security,

As I have become more tenacious while engaged in spiritual warfare; You have revealed your camouflage, shield, shelter, your protection - as well as the ability to uproot every diabolical plan.

As I have become more tenacious in every area of my life; You have revealed the potency, the discernment, the joy, the peace and the fulfillment that are now evident in my life.

Thank you Lord for the manifestation of TENACITY. …..and I will embrace it today and forever more!  And it is so.

Simply Trust God!

Simply Trust God!

“If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.”           II Chronicles 7:14

With the recent occurrences of terrorism and national outbreaks of police brutality many people here in America are overly concerned about what they are hearing and observing.  People were wondering what would happen next.  Will the nation’s government be headed by someone who is totally incompetent or will it even experience a major shutdown?  Will people be expected to work and not receive their wages, nor maintain the ability to purchase necessary items… or will they be forced to amend their life styles?  What will happen?

Well.. I just need to remind you that it matters not what impact our judicial system may have on the economy; nor the display of terrorism or police injustice that may transpire; we cannot permit the spirit of fear to invade their spirits!   Matters not who our next president will be nor the negative situation which are occurring  …… Our response must be, “I’ll simply trust God”.

The Bible is full of example after example depicting how the Lord moved on behalf of His people – when they trusted Him.  However when we decide to lean to our own understanding – disaster will be our fate.  God’s word is always true and will always prevail in every situation – if we remain faithful to it.  Now is not the time to “throw in the towel” and give up.  Now is the time to put to work all that you have studied and learned about the Lord.  Now is the time to prove the Lord faithfulness and to take him at His word.

To trust is to:

T – Turn: Turn from the negative reflections and the opinions of those who are not adhering to

      what God has decreed. (I Corinthians 15:33 & 34)

R – Rest:  Rest in the promises of God. Cast your cares on Him. (I Peter 5:7)

U – Uproot: Uproot…. Go to the source of whatever is attempting to choke out my peace; attack

the root not the fruit!  Remember.. It’s a spiritual battle (Ephesians 6:12)

S – Stand: Stand on what the Lord has said.  Gird up the loins of your mind and stand! (I Peter

      1:13)

T – Transform: Transform my vocabulary by renewing my mind; so that I will only speak faith

       filled words.   (Proverbs 18:21)

Therefore it matters not what our judicial system decides….we can chose to operate according to a system which is superior to that system.  We can walk according to the mandates of God’s kingdom.  When we walk governed by kingdom principles; we will be the recipients of His kingdom blessings – and we will have available to us His kingdom provision… REGARDLESS.

Refuse to engulf the spirit of fear that is attempting to invade many at this time.  God’s promises are true and remember…

“God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?”  Numbers 23:19

Our hope….. and our trust MUST be in Him!  SIMPLY TRUST GOD!!!!!!

My Ultimate Forgiver

My Ultimate Forgiver

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

“If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us [our] sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

Read – Matthew 18:21-35

Without getting an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for us, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness. We are unfortunately identified with the ungrateful servant in Matthew 18.

Hence He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus; to atone for our sin; thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive God’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness in an attempt to paralyze the body of Christ.  Unforgiveness mandates that I will never fulfill God’s destiny for my life.

What a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to decide that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders!

Now Lord, my El Nore, reveal to me any areas where unforgiveness is still lying dormant within my subconscious arena.  Peel back the layers of my mind to expose every crevice where unforgiveness is yet hiding.  Free me from every band of unforgiveness.

Then Lord, may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me…. And it is so…. In Jesus’ Name.

Self Analyses (Check Yo Self)

Self-Analyses

or Check Yo Self (for the young adult readers….lol)

If someone were to ask you to list five reasons why God should permit you to enter into Heaven; what would be your response?  How long would it take you to compose this list?  Where would you begin?  Would you immediately begin to consider all of the time and effort that you dedicate towards the building of the Kingdom of God? Or would you first consider the sacrificial financial donations of your tithes and offerings?  Or maybe you would begin your list considering your God disciplined life style. Just how would you begin such a list?  Think about it for a few minutes… how do you view yourself in this matter?

Well….. since we aren’t governed by the rules of Burger King…. You can’t “have it your way”!  It doesn’t matter how you begin your list; it should be a list which is composed of only one item!  There is only one reason that would validate your entrance into Heaven.  It doesn’t matter what you may accomplish; nor your understanding of God’s written word; nor how many souls you may have been instrumental in leading to Christ.  Nothing, nothing that we could ever say (referring to the composure of words), do (referring to works), or think; would ever qualify us and afford us a worthy audience into the domain of the Lord!

The Bible says it in this fashion:

Isaiah 64:6   For we have all become like one who is unclean [ceremonially, like a leper], and all our righteousness (our best deeds of rightness and justice) is like filthy rags or a polluted garment; we all fade like a leaf, and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away [far from God’s favor, hurrying us toward destruction]. AMP

Ephesians 2:8,9 “You were saved by FAITH in God, who treats us much better than we deserve. This is God’s gift to you, and not anything you have done on your own. It isn’t something you have earned, so there is nothing you can brag about.” CEV

Romans 3:10  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one”

Now, God does require that we do Kingdom work.  However, our works are not done in an attempt to gain entrance into the Kingdom.

So, how SHOULD you begin….. and end your list?  With only one item listed.   There is only one reason why God will permit us to enter into Heaven.  Nothing, nothing, nothing outside of that one reason will be “good enough” and satisfy God’s requirements for entrance. That one reason; the only item on your list MUST be because you have accepted his son, Jesus, as your ultimate redeemer and justifier…… and above all… your Saviour!

Special Note: Now we must remember that God requires that we live a life which is holy and dedicated unto Him; that we make grow and mature in Him.  However, our ultimate goal after we are saved is to draw others to Christ.  So whatever ministries we are engage in; we are to be soul winners!

Right Connections

Right Connections

Be honest in your judgment and do not decide at a glance (superficially and by appearances); but judge fairly and righteously.                                                 John 7:24 Amplified Version

As we search throughout the scriptures, we can observe that the relationships which people were involved in were of grave importance.  Therefore we must realize the significance of becoming associated with and connected to the right people.

Connections should be for the purpose of increase.  Therefore I should be either the provider (being an asset to someone’s life) or the receiver (reaping a benefit) – but increase is a must.  Wrong, non-productive relationships are considered one of those “weights which does so easily beset us” (Hebrews 12:1).

So let’s consider some of our connections.  What do our: friends, acquaintances, religious and secular group memberships reveal?  Are there any connections where I am currently not being increased – or increasing someone else?  Some connections are temporary; seasonal - while others maintain the ability to perpetually be an asset in some fashion.   When we don’t know the purpose for a relationship, nor have considered its nature – we will attempt to cling on to and transform those “passing connections” into permanent relationships.

We are in the era now where everyone seems to want to “network”. Everywhere you go people want to connect. This can be advantageous as well as detrimental.   We must be on our spiritual guard at all times and realize that every “good connection” may not be a “God connection”.

Then there are those connections that go “against the grain” of many in Christendom.  There may be times when the Lord will connect you to someone (s); involved in specific sins or unacceptable lifestyles… for the sake of assisting them to know Him. (Note: Don’t misunderstand! We are to NEVER become INVOLVED in anything that is contrary to the Word of God.  The Lord will never lead you into any area where you will be tempted to sin or in an area where you have not been totally delivered)

I would like to encourage you to listen to the voice of the Lord.  Far too often some Christians feel as though they too “holy” to be connected to or associated with various groups of people;  even for the sake of ministry.  My only response is this: If someone is in darkness, and you have a light, how can they come out of the darkness if you refuse to go to them and shine your light? Remember we are instructed to let our lights shine (Matthew 5:16).  How will they find the correct path out of their darkness?  The blind can’t lead the blind!  Now I’m not condoning, permitting or agreeing with sin….. Sin is sin and is not to be excused nor overlooked.  However, we should never feel as though we are too “anointed” to be connected with those to whom God leads us to.  Nor should we attempt to discourage those who are being used of the Lord in areas where we are not comfortable or called to minister in.

In these last days; the Lord needs to connect those Saints who have a true love for Him … and are willing to share that love… to those who are still struggling in various areas.

God has given us to the ability to be sociable creatures.  We therefore need connections.  However, we must be certain that every connection will be constructive and offer increase, integrity, stamina... and above all… receive a stamp of approval from the Lord.

“Therefore encourage one another and build one …….”   I Thessalonians 5:11a

Profanity in the Pulpit

Profanity in the Pulpit

I was asked the question by a few of my FBF (Facebook friends) if it was okay to use profanity in the pulpit.  They said many Pastors are seemingly going that route now; and it appears to be acceptable.

Well… I always attempt to use the Bible to substantiate any response that I may offer.  So the verse that immediately came to mind was Ephesians 4:29.  In this verse the word corrupt was translated from the Greek word “σαπρός” (sapros).  Profanity could definitely come in alignment with the definition of this word.

The Amplified Version states this verse as thus: “Let no foul or polluting language, nor evil word nor unwholesome or worthless talk [ever] come out of your mouth, but only such [speech] as is good and beneficial to the spiritual progress of others, as is fitting to the need and the occasion, that it may be a blessing and give grace (God’s favor) to those who hear it.”  Ephesians 4:29

.

I also thought about the amount of prestige or reverence…. (Or should I say the lack of reverence) that we now place upon the presence of the Most High God!  Many standards that we now permit in our churches would not be tolerated by our judicial system, presidential cabinet nor permitted by the Judges in their courtrooms!    Therefore, should we permit the incorporation and the infiltration of such words and phrases to be accepted when we are standing as representatives of the Almighty God?  Should we release with ease into the atmosphere the negative effects and word curses which accompany some profane words?  Have we forgotten that when we stand before the people, we do so as the very orator for such a deity as Our God?

We must never forget that we are in this world – but we as representatives of God do not have to partake of the measures expressed by the world in an attempt to convey God’s message.  We are in this world – but we must not conform to this world (Romans 12: 1&2).  We must always uphold the level of integrity and self-control that will permit us to never stray from “our ancient land mark”.  (Proverbs 22:28 “Don’t stealthily move back the boundary lines staked out long ago by your ancestors.” - The Message Bible)

God has said:

“Experiences are meant to produce maturity.  Your Relationship with Me produces Sensitivity.  Discipline produces Obedience.

My leaders must become more equipped and establish an ear to hear my voice if they are going to win, to triumph and to spoil the strategic plans of the enemy in these last days.  Lowering one’s standards to conform to what is pleasing to the flesh will never be as effective as standing on and trusting in the pure authority of My Word.  When My leaders spend time….the proper time in My presence – they will have a more influential presence of My Spirit.  Then they will be able to rely on My Spirit within them…. To flow from them…. to attract the people instead of using words that only excite the flesh.”

God has spoken; and it is so…. nothing else needs to be said!

Priority Number One

Priority Number One

As we focus daily on our God given assignments and obligations, we must be certain that we don’t lose sight of our ultimate goal.   Therefore it doesn’t matter what our giftings or callings are, nor our area of “expertise”; we all have been given an assignment that greatly outweighs everything else. Far too often, we become so involved in doing the work of the Lord; that we permit the call to distract us from “THE CALL”. In other words we become so engulfed with doing the work of the Lord that we lose sight on our ultimate goal.  We must always remain cognizant of our number one priority.  Its relevancy hasn’t been altered.   Today the need and the demands are even greater now than ever before.   What should be the major underlying focus of every Christian? It should be the ability to be an effective, influential, innovative, skillful Soul Winner!

On a regular basis we must inventory our spiritual data base and do a little housekeeping.  It is necessary that we replace antiquated methods with those whose application will make an impact on the unsaved.  We can’t forget to seek the face of the Lord for His guidance and direction to obtain the strategies that will be effective.  We can’t forget that we should ALWAYS be advocates for the Kingdom of God. We can’t forget that everything we’ve endured has qualified us; and given us vital evidence to substantiate God’s love.  We can’t forget that there are still those people who…. if they heard some of our victories – would be drawn to the Lord.  Be transparent when the Lord directs you to be so.  Remember…..For the believer - Soul Winning is priority number one…..Always!!

So, value the importance of one lost soul.   Make an appointment with God to discuss the enhancement of your soul winning tactics.  Seek him for the boldness, wisdom and opportunity to be an effective witness – wherever and whenever the occasion occurs.  Simply because God has delayed His return – He is giving US one more day to assist in the enlargement of His family.

Your number one priority is to be an effective Soul Winner.  However, today’s soul winners must be Spirit lead; Spirit filled and above all be Spiritually motivated!

“…… he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.  Ezekiel 33:6

Recognizing God's Wisdom

Read slowly and thoroughly; digest inner ear of your spirit.

Prayer Recognizing God’s Wisdom ©2003

Father God, in Jesus’ name, I come to you.     I thank you for the wisdom to acknowledge you in all of your ways.

Your word declares that Wisdom is the principle thing - “The foremost ingredient”.  So I come to seek your WISDOM above all else.  With your wisdom, I will accomplish every task to the perfected level that pleases you.

Your wisdom demands that I alter and amend every thought, every motive, every dream - every issue of life and bring them subject to your divine will.  Your wisdom demands integrity to the utmost in every area from the most minute to the most extravagant.

Your wisdom promotes and provokes me to diligently press towards the mark of that higher calling in Christ Jesus.

Your wisdom orchestrates the tenacity, the endurance, the discipline, the assertiveness, the guidance and the forbearance required by me to discern and uproot every satanic and demonic weapon formed against me.  Therefore as your word declares, these weapons formed will not be able to accomplish nor produce the tasks that were assigned to them.

Father, I thank you for the wisdom to press beyond the veil.  The wisdom to no longer be content on this level, or in this place - the wisdom to seek you and you alone for my divine direction as I advance in my next dimension.

Because of my uniqueness in you, and because I am fearfully and wonderfully made, personally designed and hand crafted by you and for you; I have learned to appreciate all that you have placed within me.   I have learned how to willingly surrender my entire being - spirit, soul and body to you.  You alone and those whom YOU send to me have the wisdom to shape and mold me into your divine vessel.  I thank you for the wisdom to embrace my uniqueness in you.  It is through the revelation of that uniqueness that I am motivated to realize the fact that I will “do things differently”.  Therefore, I decree that I will pattern my life after Jesus and those qualities he displayed.

Lastly Father, I thank you that I have received an in-depth understanding regarding your wisdom.  I can now certainly acknowledge the fact that wisdom is the principle thing.  I will now strive as never before to bring every thought, word and deed captive to your obedience… and in so doing, I will be privy to that degree of wisdom, which will permit me to operate from the platform of your Kingdom Principles. With your wisdom guiding me, I now know that I can be of a greater threat to the kingdom of darkness – because the greater one is definitely abiding within me and daily alerting me to every diabolical trap that has been set for me.

Hallelujah!  Nothing shall be impossible for me to accomplish because I am covered…. Safe and secured  with a blanket of your WISDOM!  …..And it is so!

What About the Christmas Tree?

What about the Christmas Tree?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding.”

Proverbs 3:5 ESV

Many have asked me to address this subject and “I” never really felt the necessity to do so.  However it appears that every year more and more people are being misled and not researching the scriptures for themselves.

The scriptures in question are Jeremiah 10:1-5 and Isaiah 44:12-28.  To summarize the teachings; these scriptures are referring to those who would cut down trees, decorate them, burn them to use them for heat,  take them to woodcarvers to have images engraved upon them and pray to them.  Those trees would be used for idol worship.  So my question is: “Are you worshipping a Christmas tree?”  Are you using or involving it in worship instead of worshipping Jehovah God?  Are you idolizing it or having images engraved in it?  This is what was being address by the Prophets Jeremiah and Isaiah.

Then some are stating that the Christmas tree should not be used because of its Pagan origin.  Well, to be truthful most of the practices that we have adopted have such an origin….Yet we adhere to them.  If I were to name just a few that we entertain on a daily basis many of you would be surprised. I would even dare to say that everyone of us engage in at least on pf these practices every single day!

Let’s not permit the enemy to allow us to become distracted by causing our focus to drift.  Christ must be the focal point of EVERYTHING that we engage in.   Colossians 3:17 states it this way: “Whatever you do in word or deed, do all to the glory of God.”

Our Christian religion is composed of various symbols. The Evergreen Tree which is used as a Christmas Tree should be viewed as just another symbol that can be used at this time of the year for the believer.

Therefore as for me, whatever I bring into my home will be used to bring glory and honor to the Most High God.  I won’t worship the tree; but I will permit the tree to stand as a visible reminder of the everlasting, ever-abiding presence of the Holy Spirit… whose power has birthed and illuminated an unquenchable flow of love, joy and peace!

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all your getting get understanding.” Proverbs 4:7

No More Fear....Just Faith!

No More Fear …..Just Faith!

“There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love”.                                                                  I John 4:18

In what area of your life fear has become your favorite pillow, your warm comforter or your pair of fuzzy slippers?  Or maybe your escape from fear leads you to binges of over or under eating, excessive spending sprees, or becoming involved in behavior patterns that are totally ungodly.

The spirit of fear is always looking for opportunities to enter, dominate and paralyze us.  Usually, when the time arises for us to embark upon and advance into a new place in the Lord, he (the spirit of fear) – will faithfully grace our stage for a grand performance!  In other words that spirit of fear will always seek to gain an entrance into our spirit man – and play a major role in preventing us from moving forward in the Lord.

However it’s time for us to “take the bull by the horns” and aggressively pursue our next adventure in the Lord.  Remember, walking in faith isn’t always walking in the absence of fear.  There will be times when you will have to move forward while “feeling” afraid….  But you must continue to advance.  If your level of faith is going to increase, you can’t stand still and wait until you don’t feel afraid.

I would like to encourage you to embrace the prayer below that I had written quite a few years ago concerning the spirit of fear.  Remember….you are in control and the decision is yours.  Your actions will always reveal whether you have chosen to SIT in fear or to WALK by faith.

Fear Be Gone!

F

ather God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or to sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where ungodly fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door; and a renewed mind, which will permit me to stand and enforce the decrees which I have made concerning the spirit of fear.   Therefore, I reintegrate; every closed door WILL remain closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!
