The Hit List

The Hit List

“In addition to all this, take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming arrows of the evil one”.    Ephesians 6:16

As I was glancing through an Ebony Magazine, there was a page entitled “Hit List”.  To summarize, this page included items that were considered “must haves” for the season.

Well, as usual – I began to relate that concept to the realm of the spirit.  I wondered, “What would be considered the “must haves” to be on the “Hit List” of our adversary”?  So below I’ve listed the top five requirements that I feel are compulsory.

  1. The acceptance of Christ as your Saviour.

One of the reasons that the enemy is able to gain an upper hand is that we fail to realize when the warfare begins.  As soon as we make an outward declaration to take a stand for Christ - immediately we are thrust into an intense battle ground.  We have made the decision to leave the family of darkness and become a member of the body of Christ.  This alone initially qualifies one to become an open target and earn a place on satan’s list…. On “The Hit List”.

  1. Developing and spending time in the presence of the Lord.

This is the place where we gain our genuine strength, wisdom and discernment.  We can receive encouragement from others.  However there is nothing, nothing that can replace what one will receive from developing a relationship with the Lord.  The enemy is fully aware of this.  That’s the reason that he makes it so difficult for one to spend time alone in the presence of the Lord.  The determination to build such a relationship definitely makes one as a prime candidate for “The Hit List”.

  1. Living a lifestyle that is in obedience to the word of Lord.

This transcends the mere presence that is exhibited in church or in the company of those who know us as being “saved”.  What happens when others can’t see us?  Are we living one type of lifestyle during the week and another on the weekends?  And what about our integrity??? When we’ve committed ourselves to allowing our lives to be an open book for all to see (by fasting, praying, paying tithes, reading our Word, maintaining that temper, not gossiping, living a submitted lifestyle, etc.); and that open book reflects holiness…. We’re on “The Hit List”.

  1. Actively being a Soul winner.

This statement really needs no clarification.  If you are seeking and seizing every opportunity to be a witness for the Lord, and showing the unsaved their road to freedom; you already know – you are on “The Hit List”.

  1. Be a channel for the Holy Spirit and putty in His Hands.

Lord, what will you have me to do?  This is the question we’ve asked in all sincerity. However, when we wholehearted avail ourselves to such; advance from the plateau of focusing on our own desires; and permit God to totally use us –then the enemy really “throws a fit”.   Our commitment (not a mere promise!) to use ALL of who we are for the Lord – definitely earns you a number one position on “The Hit List”.

There are many other items that could be added.   Just realize that you have been targeted.  So don’t become alarmed when you are attacked by the enemy.  Simply rest in the realization that no weapon which he has formed against you has the power nor the authority to prosper!   You may be on the “The Hit List”, however you have been given your angels and your spiritual weapons to strategically and successfully outwit every attack….prior to its onset!  So be encouraged although you’re on “The Hit List”….. You are still more than a conqueror!!!

Who Opened That Door?

Who Opened That Door?

“Be not deceived………….”Galatians 6:7

There is a saying, “All that glitters is not gold.” In other words, everyone and everything that appears to be authentic at a glance; is not always what it or they seem to be. Someone or something may seem to emit a certain “weightiness”; however a closer examination will reveal the truth.  Don’t be deceived by what your physical eyes may behold!

The spirit of Deception is running more rampantly, and rapidly than in previous times.  We must therefore enhance our ability to quickly discern the authentic actions of the Lord; apart from the imposturous, deceptions of our adversary.

We must also remember that every open door was not opened by the Lord.  Every new opportunity is not always the answer to your prayer! In our attempt to advance, we must not become anxious. Trust the Word of God and wait for Him.  God will never, ever permit or present to us an open door or an opportunity - which in any fashion cannot be aligned with His recorded promises.  The Lord will never open a door whose entrance will lead us to compromise nor negate our relationship with Him….. nor will He ever present us with an opportunity where we must compromise our allegiance to Him.

In I John 4:1 we are reminded that we must not merely accept what appears to be ordained of God. “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.”

Accompanying advancement and elevation are the introduction of an array of open doors.  Therefore, prior to entering into any open door, be certain of its validity.  Prior to entering into any open door, be certain that you maintain your “alertness” in the realm of the spirit.  Be anxious for nothing!  God’s open doors are accompanied by His peace and His assurance.  When uncertain about embarking or venturing into a new area; wait and seek the face of God.

Always remember that the adversary desires to make YOU sabotage your own destiny by enticing you to move in the incorrect timing.

So, again… prior to entering into any open door, proceed with caution, stay alert and above all, you must know who has opened the door!

“Wait on the Lord: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the Lord.”  Psalm 27:14

The Faith Progression

The Faith Progression

“And I say unto you, Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.  For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”  Luke 11:9 & 10

It appears that many Christians believe that the intensity exerted when praying; or the volume of their voices when praying; reflects their ability to receive an immediate response to their request.

I often refer to Paul’s request to the Lord in reference to the “thorn in the flesh”.  The Bible specifically states that he sought the Lord three times.  Why?  It seems to imply that he wasn’t accustomed to making a request that many times.  Today, we would have said, “Come on Lord…I’ve asked you 3 times…what’s up?  Why haven’t you done what I’ve asked you yet?”

I know enough about God, my Father, to understand that He is omniscient (all knowing, all seeing and very well informed!).  Therefore God doesn’t have to place me in a given situation and WATCH my reactions or responses to know what I will do.  He has already known exactly what my responses will be prior to me even being born.

However, I must undergo a progression in my level of faith that will bring forth to me the manifestation and the revelation of God’s response to my request.  Sometimes we can simply “Ask”- something….and the answer is given.  Everyone has that level of faith.  Then there are times when we must dig a little deeper.. – the “Seeking” level.  (Like when you can’t find something and someone else comes in… moves a few things around and discovers what you couldn’t find! You may have looked -but they sought.)  The seeking level is when the revelation of an answer to our prayers may require that our level of faith be increased to the extent that we can see the answer that God has already given to us.  Then there’s the “Knocking” level.  Knocking expresses repetitive motion.  It implies that there is a barrier or a blockage in front of me – something preventing me from gaining that access that I so desire.  So at this level, God is attempting to get me to move out more in faith and take the necessary measures to destroy whatever is preventing me from receiving the access to His response.

Walking by faith in God requires that we understand the principles of Asking, Seeking and Knocking.  Strangely enough, if we take the first letter from each of those words we will form the word ASK.  Could it be that God is trying to tell us that our faith must progress to the simple level of merely asking and then believing it to be done?  Far too often we tend to make the process more difficult than God intended it to be. He simply wants us to Place our petitions before Him (Ask); Then proceed with the solution that He gives to us (Seek); and finally be PERSISTANT in our expectation of the petition placed (Knock).

God’s ultimate desire for us is to develop our level of faith in Him to the extent that once we have placed our petitions before Him… that we immediately begin to react as though that petition has been granted.  We declare that we are walking by faith; however most of us are not.  Most of us are still walking by sight.  Why do I say that? Simply because many will place the same petitions before the Lord day after day – until they physically SEE the manifestation!   We will sing and say, “Don’t wait til the battle is over…shout now”.  But in our hearts we are still doubting and walking in a diminished degree of faith…. And not totally shouting and rejoicing until we physically have be granted our petitions.

So let us be determined that we will no longer “walk around in circles” in the area of our faith.  Let us exercise our faith….stretch our faith…. And be more “unwavering” in the area of our faith.  Let’s grasp the total concept of Asking, Seeking and Knocking…. And we will discover that our level of faith will progress from; little faith to great faith to mountain moving faith.  Then we will daily walk in that level of faith, which will produce in us an expectation and an undeniable manifestation of God’s favor in every area of our life!

The Strategy to Navigate

The Strategy to Navigate

“Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:” Philippians 2:5

Although we may not be aware of it, but each new day presents an array of situations and circumstances which require us to “assess and conquer”.   Many times we are aware of specific challenges that will “grace” our day – and we’ve had the time to adequately prepare for them. However, sometimes these demands will be unexpected and require that we make split-second decisions.  Nevertheless, in either case – God has equipped us with an ability to advance through each situation successfully.  We have within us; although far too often undeveloped; the ability and the skill to strategically navigate through this maze that we call life.

To maneuver successfully through our own “obstacle course” not only requires skill, but: patience, endurance and concentration. (You’ll see this trio again!)

I found an app for my phone which gives me the opportunity to engage in a game called labyrinth.  This game has a labyrinth board which is composed of numerous holes through which one must successfully guide a small metal ball.  It is not until you’ve completed level 1, that you are permitted to progress to the next level - each level increasing in difficulty.

Life can be compared to that small metal ball on the labyrinth board.  Life is an obstacle course through which we must carefully, patiently and skillfully be guided and directed.   It demands that we take a seat – physically and mentally to map out a plan that will successfully enable us  to navigate around all of the potholes that the enemy has waiting for us.  We can usually get a “heads up” on some of them by surveying our natural bloodline.  Then as you discover various inherited “potholes” –  whether in the natural or in the realm of the spirit; use your kingdom authority to completely eradicate them.  Then declare that the buck stops here! Forbid the manifestation of anything that is not of the Holy Spirit to rest, rule or to reign in your life.    Remember…the enemy isn’t too smart!  However he is strategic and persistent.  Therefore, you must be strategic in your planning if you are going to outwit the enemy and navigate productively through your labyrinth board.

Lastly, but most importantly….as always…… we must consider our mindset … for it is our determining factor.  One of the most over overlooked, misunderstood….. but vital focuses in Christendom is the subject of mind renewal.  Yet, it is essential and the prerequisite to our success on every level.  The process of mind renewal must be taken more seriously if we are going to effectively outmaneuver our enemy.

I would like to encourage you to increase, strengthen and awaken your current mental status – in the natural!   One sure way to begin this process is by engaging in logic puzzles and memory games.   Challenge your mind to accomplish a task that you haven’t been able to achieve in the past.  By trying a variety of puzzles, you will awaken various areas of your brain.   Without regards to your age, begin NOW and refuse to permit the spirits of Alzheimer and Dementia to occupy space in your mind….simply because some of your brain cells have become deaden due to the lack of proper activity or deterioration!

To be victorious we must come to the realization that every successful battle is won when the proper strategy has been devised….. and then the navigation process is formulated according to that strategy!

We must remember that an active mind is a productive mind.  A productive mind now must become a disciplined mind. A disciplined mind is ready to begin the perpetual process of strategically navigating through your personally designed - endtime diabolical labyrinth board!

“Don't copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God's will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.”                                               Romans 12:2 - New Living Translation

The Walking Bible

The Walking Bible

“Ye are our epistle written in our hearts, known and read of all men:” II Corinthians 3:2

A while ago I was given the privilege of facilitating the workshop at a Sunday School Conference.  Their theme for the year was “The Walking Bible”.  So today, I’ll share a few of the key points and fully discuss them at a later date.

We must always remember that everyone who has accepted Christ as their Saviour is a Walking Bible.  However, our effectiveness is dependent upon our relationship with the Lord; and our ability to permit that relationship to govern our lives.   Our every move and decision reveals the impact that God – through His Word, has made on our lives. Although we’ve made adjustments and transformations – if the truth were to be told…..we still have a lot of work to do….and unresolved “issues” still lingering around.  If we were to take into account the amount of time – the years; that we have been saved; and measure it to our effectiveness in the realm of the spirit; the results usually would register very poorly and possibly even non - effective!

Four of the issues that were discussed are: Pride, Ignorance, Fear, and A Need for Mind Renewal.  This group is the foundational platform which anchors all of the reasons and excuses that we state for our lack of effectiveness as a Walking Bible.

PRIDE: In most of our lives the spirit of pride has so “cloaked” itself, that we can’t even realize that it’s still there.  We can always observe this spirit in others – yet rarely recognize it in our own lives. We also have failed to realize how the spirit has poisoned or blemished our testimony; thus nullifying its effectiveness!

IGNORANCE: How much do we really know about Christianity?  Do you just know “about” your Bible? What about any background or historical information concerning the cult of Christianity?  Can you dialect with anyone from another religion and intelligently defend your religious beliefs and convictions?  Can you relay pertinent information about who you believe God to be…. using “non-religious” language and phrases?

FEAR: This is another multifaceted stone.  At the initial onset, most people would declare that they don’t have this issue.  However, when we really begin to dissect this spirit, we will realize that the spirit of fear is still more prevalent in our lives than we are aware of.

A NEED FOR MIND RENEWAL: I’ll just briefly state this, we are now living in the age of : ipads, ipods, tablets, micro-chips, square, mobile banking and the like.  Have you been mentally upgraded?  Are you still using spiritual tactics that are harmonious a typewriter using a cloth ribbon?

As I previously stated: “We are all walking Bibles”.  However we must be more determine to take the proper measures that would enhance our effectiveness in this age.  The unsaved need us to make that undeniable impression upon their lives that will cause them to reconsider their current spiritual condition.

Our goal now must be to exemplify that type of Walking Bible that will cause our God to be glorified…..and the enemy horrified!!!

Intregrity Must Be Displayed

Integrity Must Be Displayed

May I daily mirror and display a “lifestyle” of integrity.

Yahweh Sali”

(The Lord my rock. –Psalm 18:2)

The Lord is my Rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.                                           Psalm 18:2

Read: Psalm 18 & Psalm 34

When we disrespect those who are in authority concerning us – and influence others to do the same; we are in walking in open rebellion.    At this point, WE have opened an entrance for the enemy to come in; take off his shoes and have a cup of cappuccino!   However, more importantly, we are also displaying the fact that the Lord is still not our rock.  We are not walking in the level of integrity that will permit us to stand undefeated in these last days.

The evidence that the Lord is my rock is proven and displayed to others by the degree of integrity that daily governs my life.   If the Lord is my rock, I will not fall prey to the mindsets of this world and its dishonest principles.  “IF" the Lord is my rock, I will not stand upon the motivations, nor, find rest in the comfort zones, of anything that doesn’t come into alignment with the integrity of His Kingdom Principles.  My level of integrity must excel the mere living a lifestyle that others can observe as being that of a “Christian”.  I must be an open display in the realm of the spirit; to every diabolical force; that my dedication to the Lord is authentic.

Therefore, as of today O Lord, may my every thought, motive and action affirm the fact that you are truly my rock.  It is you that I run to daily to support and anchor me.  It is you that I depend upon as my pillar, as my prop, as my leaning post, as my only genuine stake; which possesses the ability to remain stable and unyielding in this ever - changing world.

It is only because of your revealed quality as Yahweh Sali, that I am capable of remaining unshaken in the midst of every storm. Even nature has revealed that in the eye of every hurricane or tornado is a place of total peace. I have discovered that it is through the guidance of your eye, Yahweh Sali, that I have received total peace and stability when the turmoil and devastative effects of spiritual or natural tsunamis manifest themselves in my life.   No matter what occurs, because of your integrity towards me - I can always find comfort in the fact that you have hidden me in the “cleft of yourself” and permitted me to find safety in the “secret place” of who you are.  You have allowed me to abide under your shadow. It is in you that I can wholeheartedly trust.   May I never forget that you have been and will always be my perpetual ROCK.

“On Christ the SOLID ROCK I stand….ALL, ALL, ALL other ground is sinking sand!”

Therefore, I will perpetually keep myself under the restraints of the Holy Ghost; who will assure me the power to walk in the level of integrity; that permits the Lord to be visibly displayed in every circumstance and situation that I may daily encounter.

...They Are Only A Weight

….They Are Only A Weight

“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us..” Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

Today the Lord has said that we are running this race…..and we are running well….however we are still carrying too much baggage.  God has said that we are still attempting to drag and pull everyone with us to our next place in Him.  Some, .. NO…. most of the people with whom you communicate on a daily basis are not ready to go with you to your next place in the Lord.  They haven’t made the proper preparations in the realm of the spirit… therefore; in all actuality, they are only a weight!

Everyone will not, has not and cannot receive, nor apply the mantle that the Lord has given unto you. They are just not ready to go where you are going.  The pace will be too rapid; the journey too long; the mission too intense and the level of strategic maneuvers too in-depth.  Therefore, even without your knowledge, they have become the hindrance – the weight; the cement boots; which are preventing you from running with the speed and endurance that you know you possess.

So take an inventory of your plans and desires.  Compare them against the schematic plan that the Lord has ordained for your life.  Whatever…and whomever are no longer a necessary component at THIS time - dispose of it (or them).  This includes EVERYTHING!  Most of us are too comfortable.  We have become accustomed to “dragging” along so much excess baggage that we’ve forgotten what it feels like to be totally free in God!

Now… excess baggage can include anything from physical articles such as people, a position, relationships, or a job; to mental issues such as memories and mindsets; to hindering spirits that may have attached themselves to us from some of our past experiences.

Finally, the Lord has also said: “In this new dimension, we must stay free, move quickly, move cautiously, and move quietly.  Be cautious about with whom you are sharing information.  Don’t disclose everything to everyone.  Only reveal what I tell you to reveal – to whom I direct you.”

Some very well meaning individuals are just not positioned to receive what God is doing in your life; and will begin….sometimes even without their knowledge, to sabotage your future.  View everything, everything through the eyes of your spirit.  Listen through the ears of your spirit.  Sensitize and synchronize your spirit to the emotions of my Spirit said the Lord – not your mind.  Rest in me to the point that nothing “catches” you in a state of being “unaware”.  Fear no man nor his position.  Go where I send you…..and when you arrive…  you will find that they are already waiting for you and expecting your arrival!”

1 Corinthians 9:24
“Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize.”

The Undercurrents Have Shifted…. Have You?

All these are but the beginning of the birth pains”. Matthew 24:8

Read Matthew 24

One of the benchmarks that many theologians have used for decades as the verification of God’s “plum line” is nature.    We can no doubt attest to the fact that we are experiencing extreme atmospheric conditions.   While people may vary in their knowledge and their understanding of the Bible; no one can deny the alterations in the usual flow of nature which are now occurring.

One of the major reasons why we were experiencing twenty degree temperature differences from one day to the next is that the undercurrents have shifted.   An undercurrent is a force just beneath the surface, which is flowing in a different direction from the surface current.  While undercurrents occur both in the air and in the water; today we will focus on the effects of those associated with the water.  Last summer has yielded to an above normal increase in the rate of water fatalities – especially those associated with shark attacks.   Many people are explaining that the conditions of the water are very deceiving last summer.    There were more rip-tides. The currents which are not visible to the naked eye; and which can’t be easily detected have changed.  People who usually swim in various creeks, lakes and oceans are drowning or being attacked – because the undercurrents have shifted.

So has the shifting occurred in the realm of the Spirit.  Nature is only revealing what have already occurred in the Spirit world.  In the realm of the Spirit, there has always been a subordinate current; flowing contrary to the major current.    However now, the undercurrent has shifted.  What was once detectable for the shore is no longer visible.  If we are going to be effective, we must venture from the “shore” and get into the water.   The shifting has occurred and its effects are evident in every arena; from the “White House to the Poor House”.

While everything around you has shifted …The question now is… have you?  What measures have you taken to assure yourself that you will not be swept away and even drown in the swift moving undertow?  Have you increased your times of praying, studying, serving and giving?  Have you amended your “busy” schedule to include a God ordained – rather than God permitted agenda?

We, the body of Christ must be that support system for the world which will lead them to the saving and sustaining power of the Lord.  However, we must leave the “shore”…our comfort zones: and venture into the water….where the fish are… and the swift flowing undercurrents are prevailing.  We must be equipped with endtime strategies and the ability to implement them.

The undercurrents have shifted –therefore we must modify and fortify the anchors of our minds; to assure our success and to make certain that we will not become the next victim … swept away … and caught off guard by an oncoming, rapidly approaching and swift moving current!

“But stay awake at all times, praying that you may have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place……”.  Luke 21:36 (ESV)

Transitioned for Transformation

Transitioned  for Transformation

Have you been transitioned for transformation?    Have you observed the recent “Shift” in the attacks which have been released from the kingdom of darkness?   Many have been expressing the nature of their recent attacks; all of which have taken a different slant from the “normal” diabolical attacks.    However because we in the process of being transitioned for the transformation – we have been able to withstand the pressure and we continue to proceed without the stress and anxiety that we would have previously experienced.   We have begun to elevate our thought processes to become more proactive than reactive.  We have finally realized that if change is to be effective, relevant and complete, it must be initiated in our minds.

Nevertheless, we must continue to realize that the process is yet not completed.  There are areas in our minds that are still “a work in progress”!  My actions will always reveal what’s truly occurring on the inside. Therefore, if I haven’t altered my thoughts, opinions and ideas concerning a certain matter, then my actions will not produce a permanent change.

According to the dictionary; transitioned indicates a process or period which something underwent a change and passed from one state, stage, form, or activity to another.   Therefore by its very nature the word “transitioned” bears witness that there has been an alteration in some component of my being.   I have not transitioned if everything about me has remained the same.  However as previously stated this process of transitioning begins in our minds.  Remember, my actions will only reflex the activity that my control center - my mind - has ordered.

Transformation however, expresses the end product; a completed change.  I’m reminded of a toy that was popular many years ago called a transformer.  Every part of the toy had the ability to be changed.   With this toy the children could twist and turn the movable parts and “transform” the shape and appearance  of the toy from one creature to another.

Today, in this season, God is especially using those who have permitted their minds to be transitioned by the indwelling power of Holy Ghost…. and through that transition, He has brought them into a state of transformation that cannot – will not ever be diminished.  It is these people, who are totally sold out for the Lord, who have been “Transitioned for Transformation”.

Although the renewing of my mind is a progressive process; once the transition has produced transformation in a given area – then, that area cannot ever be controlled by the enemy again.

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I now have the ability to treasure and to be entrusted with the “weightier” matters.

                                                                                                                     (Luke 16:11)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

My total allegiance is to no one but the Lord. (Matthew 22:37)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have no excuses for not walking in obedience to the call of the Lord on my life.

                                                                                                                      (Luke 11:28)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I know no defeat – I don’t have the ability to, nor the knowledge of failure.

                                                                                                               (Philippians 4:13)

When I have been transitioned for transformation:

I have not reached perfection in every area – but I am a threat to the kingdom of darkness!

                                                                                                                 (Luke 10:19)

So again I propose the question, “Have you been transitioned for transformation”?  If not, now is the perfect time to get the ball rolling.

If you have been – maintain allegiance to the Lord…. Keep your focus.  Just know that because you have been Transitioned for the Transformation ,,,you are now ready to :

Receive the Manifestation…. Expose the Revelation.. and to be a Demonstration…. of God’s power and authority over every diabolical force that you may encounter on a daily basis!

Turbulence Onboard?? ... Adjust your Altitude!

“Moreover [let us also be full of joy now!] let us exult and triumph in our troubles and rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that pressure and affliction and hardship produce patient and unswerving endurance. And endurance (fortitude) develops maturity of character (approved faith and tried integrity). And character [of this sort] produces [the habit of] joyful and confident hope of eternal salvation. Such hope never disappoints or deludes or shames us, for God’s love has been poured out in our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who has been given to us.”  Romans 5:3-5 AMP

Simply because God has called us to walk in and to live by a lifestyle that is governed by His statues, promises and provision; our walk should be quite different from the walk of most of the people which we encounter on a daily basis.   Our walk should be different because we have learned the art of how to handle those unexpected, yet expected bumps in the road.  Our walk should be different because we have learned that every situation in our lives has been preordained by our Master Pilot – who is always on board.  Therefore, when any type of turbulence arises – we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization.

There are various types of turbulence which may occur at any given time.  Certain types are only typical to specific elements and environments.  Therefore because we are all different, we will all experience various elements which have been individualized just for us.  The degree of turbulence is dependent upon various factors.  However, it doesn’t matter… whatever the level or type of turbulence that may appear –again; I reiterate:  we only need to adjust our altitude to the degree that will bring us back to stabilization.

Sometimes we can experience turbulence because we are “flying to low”.  In other words we have become too comfortable in our spiritual walk.  We are not advancing… we are simply standing in the same place, in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore God has to “upset our apple cart”.  He has to permit some type of contrary wind to blow to force us to get out of our comfort zone. .. and to progress or advance in our ministry, calling or giftings.

Then there may be times when we experience turbulence because we are flying in the wrong direction.  We have become like Jonah and decided that WE know what’s best… and that God really doesn’t have a clue in this day and age what’s of value!  So He (God) has to permit a little turbulence to get us back on course.  Or we may be flying in the wrong direction because we are not spiritually alert and have not noticed that the winds have shifted in the realm of the spirit.  Our radars have become out of sync and are not detecting the diabolical plots, plans and schemes correctly…. Therefore we are flying in the wrong direction!

Then, there may be times when we are moving at the correct speed.  The conditions are “A- one”, and a turbulent wind comes for no apparent reason.  During these times our Master Pilot is simply testing us.  Not to see what we will do – for He is omniscient.. and  already knows all things.  He is permitting us and our adversary to see the advancements that we have made.  God  is giving satan permission to try us as He gave him the permission to try Job.  (Although Job still had a lot of issues!) Yes, sometimes God is permitting us to be placed on an open display for others to see His handiwork in us!

So, whenever the turbulent winds occur always adjust your altitude.  Remember that the first rule of thumb is to remain calm.  Stay so connected to the Lord that nothing will totally “catch” you of guard.   Next, know that the endurance of turbulent winds is only temporary.   Refuse to worry.  Stand firmly on the Word of God who is always our very PRESENT help in the time of every storm.  Lastly, learn from every storm and turbulent condition how to progress through the next turbulent occurrence (because it will arise!)

God wants us to be so totally dependent upon His love for us; that we will experience EVERY turbulent situation without even knowing or negatively acknowledging that it has occurred!

We’ve often heard the statement, “Mind Over Matter”.  Although not a biblical statement – it can have biblical implications.  There are various scriptures that refer to “the mind”.  When we learn the process of mind renewal; and when we learn to let the mind of Christ govern us – then… whatever turbulent winds may arise – we will  quickly and automatically adjust our altitude …. And continue to soar as an eagle.

In this season let’s be more focused on our spiritual radars.   Ask God for the manifestation of a sharper and keener degree of discernment on today than that of yesterday.    Be determined that as you advance in this season, you will do so….so absorbed in who He is that whatever occurs, and whenever it occurs, you will peacefully and calmly ride through your turbulent winds.

Stay so in tuned with God your Master Pilot and His love for you that every negative or turbulent wind will not cause you to fret or become overly concerned….. You will simply adjust your altitude to the degree, that will bring you back to stabilization and you will continue to journey on!

Don't Settle For Less

Don’t Settle For Less

“And be not conformed to this world but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind.”  Romans 12:2

What achievement(s) do you highly value?  What are you striving to accomplish on a daily basis?  What target are you arrows attempting to reach?   What long and short term goals are ever before you?  Whatever venture you are striving to undertake or to complete – now is the time to endure and to press forward as never before.  Don’t become weary, don’t become stagnate… and by all means….  Don’t Settle for Less.

It appears that we have encompassed that mindset of the world which has caused us not to value who we are nor what we have been called to bring into manifestation.

For example, we are settling for what bring happiness…. Instead of persevering for joy;

We are permitting our appetites (spiritual & natural) to be appeased or pacified…Instead of fulfilling their required necessities.   We are popping too many pills … Instead pulling our heads up from the pillows and praying our way through.  We have permitted too many of the conveniences of modern technology to limit instead of enhancing our brain’s activity.

So, ever so slowly, ever so subtly we have begun to settle for the lesser qualities of life – instead of striving for better.  However, we must; as King’s Kids – begin or continue to refuse to settle for just “anything”.  We must keep our goals and aims focused on the wholesome and weightier principles of this life.

Begin to recapture the mindset in your daily activities that will not permit you to settle for less in any area of my life.   Simply because I am a joint heir with Christ – all of my needs are already met.  I therefore don’t have to lower nor compromise my standards nor my expectations, nor my desires, nor goals nor my vision.  I don’t have to settle for anything less.  I won’t settle for less in any area of my life!

The greater one lives on the inside of me…. Therefore I can no longer be comfortable settling for the “less”.  I also cannot become ignorant to the fact that iron does sharpen iron.  So those who are content and relaxed in their “state of less”…. Don’t exhibit the qualities of iron!

As of today – I will begin to rid my mind, and my physical environment of everything that resembles the state of being “less”….. and permit true greatness to be my daily portion.

“….are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”  I John 4:4

Why The Clutter????

Why The Clutter????

Have you ever taken the time to consider why you feel the need to keep in your possession all of the items that you are not readily using?  No doubt most of us have a collection of something (s) that we aren’t using.  The question is, “Why do we still have them?”

There could be many reasons why we feel “comfortable” in keeping all of our possessions.   Many times the spirit of fear is the underlying culprit.  He has come in and is “holding the door open” for his buddies: doubt, pride, procrastination and everyone else to enter.  In other words are you holding on to “your stuff” because you feel as though you might need it one day? (Fear of Lack! .. apply Philippians  4:19)  Or because you feel as though you’ve paid too much for it and someone else won’t properly appreciate it as you do? (Pride!..apply Philippians 2:3 )  Or simply because you haven’t taken to time to get rid of it? (Procrastination! Proverbs 6:6)

Whatever the reason – the time has come for us to get rid of whatever we are not using.  God has called us to be a channel not a harbor!  We are asking God for increase.  We are asking God to return ALL that has been stolen.  However as we receive – no let me correct that statement  – BEFORE we receive…..we need to begin to sow at an accelerated rate!   Listen!  If you have an array of items that you aren’t using in the natural – guess what? That’s probably a revelation of what’s going on in your spirit man!  Most of us have become comfortable in permitting God to use us in a given area. Yet, we still have other gifts within us that are just not being used.  These gifts are now formulating into spiritual clutter; and preventing us from exceling.

How do we get rid of spiritual clutter?  By first repenting.  Then by asking God to reveal and reactivate those gifts and callings which are lying dormant with in us.  Lastly, by maintaining a sense of freedom.  Refuse to permit the opinions of others to “lock you in” in a given area.

The only way to avoid clutter is to change your mindset!  Don’t be comfortable having anything in your possession that is not in use.  Those clothing that get transferred from closet to closet every season…..sow them to a shelter.  That exercise equipment that sits around starring at you…. Donate it.  Jewelry that you no longer wear….give it away.  Whatever reason you used to justify your clutter is no longer acceptable!

Also learn to develop strategies that will afford you the opportunity to be more of a giver in both the spiritual and natural realms.  Become more organized!  As you begin to get rid of the clutter … and become more structured…..you will be amazed at how the Lord will begin to restore to you ALL that has been stolen!

“But all things should be done decently and in order.”  I Corinthians 14:40 (ESV)

You Are My Lord…. You Are My King

“ ...Because you are my LORD, you are my glory.”

Jehovah Kabodhi”

(The Lord My Glory – Psalm 3:3)
“But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.”        Psalm 3:3

Read: Psalm 3 & Psalm 27

Today, I will affirm that through your power, Jehovah Kabodhi, I will always bring your glory, radiance, and splendor into every situation.  I affirm that you are the lifter of my head.   I also affirm that failure is never an option.  I have given to you the place of authority, and supreme “ruler ship” in my life.  Therefore, as I permit my will, emotions, and thoughts to be further conformed into your image – I am becoming that vessel of honor; broken by your love; and completely covered by your shield of protection.

May I never, ever become so overwhelmed by the nonsense of the adversary, that I forget that no weapon he devises can prosper.  It is because of your place of lordship in my life, that you may delay but never deny me anything necessary for me to succeed.    As my shield, your power is both offensive and defensive.  May I always remember that as my Lord, it is through the sustaining power of your Holy Spirit, that you have sealed within me gifts and anointings that are being manifested in this season.   Lord, reveal to me every area where your lordship does not have the preeminent rule.  May I continually realize that in every area of my life where you are not Lord; I am committing self-sabotage.  I am opening the door; permitting an entrance for my enemies and placing a break in your protective shield.

May I never cease to honor, and uphold you as my true Lord over and in every situation.  May my mind never wander nor become double - minded….because you are my Lord.  May I daily cast down every vain imaginations and every high thing that attempts to exalt itself against your divine Lordship in my life.

Lastly, because you are my Lord, may I daily captivate and bring every thought attentive to your obedience. Since every action is preceded by a thought, if I permit you….. Through the Holy Spirit… to correct my thinking; I will receive a renewed mind.  I will then have the ability to establish your “Lordship” over my mind.  I will have a mindset that is governed by kingdom principles…. and my daily walk will reflect that which is worthy of your approval.

Thank you Lord that will never walk in fear because I am perpetually protected, triumphant and successful in my every endeavor!  You are my Lord…..you alone are God!

King of my life, I crown Thee now,
  Thine shall the glory be;
Lest I forget Thy thorn-crowned brow,
  Lead me to Calvary.

Your Message Is Vital

Your Message is Vital

“……. For he who is least among you all is the one who is great.” Luke 9:48

Far too many people are striving to be “bigger” in ministry.  They tend to lean to the misconception that greatness is measured by the multitude and not magnitude. However when we search the scriptures, they will reveal that when God decrees to use someone to make an impact; nothing can hinder His decision.

Therefore, for those of you who are overly concerned about the size of your ministry; or the seemingly lack of opportunities to be used of God – fret not!  Remember:

  • The Minor Prophetical Books in the Bible are just as relevant as the Major Books.
  • Gideon’s army was reduced from 32,000 to 300.
  • The thief on the cross a famous “no name”….. (so was the woman at the well)
  • Jabez’s mane was only mentioned in one book of the Bible – but rendered a well-known

        prayer.

  • ·       Ehud -  was used greatly by the Lord - and no one really knows him by name, (Judges 3)

And this list could continue on for a few pages.

Whatever the Lord has given to you to say or to do is vital to the success of someone.  Think not that your message, your testimony, your words of encouragement or your past experiences are irrelevant.   Everything that you have encountered is of significance to someone and has not happened to you by coincidence.

One little light, in a darken room, will illuminate the entire room.  Never permit the enemy to convince you that you or your ministry, are immaterial or unimportant.  Our adversary is very strategic and doesn’t waste time attempting to interfere with nonessentials!  Therefore, if he is hounding you with discouragement, disappointment and the like – it’s only because he knows that you are “standing on the tip of an iceberg”.  Therefore you must realize your potential – and accept his “nonsense” as a sure confirmation of God’s intended plans and purposes for your future.

So whatever message that the Lord has given unto you – speak it boldly.  God’s Word is not validated by the amount of people who hear it.  His Word has the ability to impact 100 or 1000… or 10.

Your message… if it is from the Lord … is vital.  So speak it in faith….. YES! …Boldly speak it regardless!

Then Jesus answered and said, “O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I bear with you? Bring him here to Me.  And Jesus rebuked the demon, and it came out of him; and the child was cured from that very hour.  Then the disciples came to Jesus privately and said, Why could we not cast it out?   So Jesus said to them, “Because of your unbelief; for assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:17-20

You've Only Just Begun

You’ve Only Just Begun!

No doubt most of you have completed various tasks during your lifetime.  I would just like to remind you that your life still yet holds more for you.  Without regards to your age, educational achievements, or your current economic status, each new day gives you the opportunity to embrace a new concept, idea, investment or venture!

I can remember when I was a child, in preparation for one of my graduation ceremonies, we had to learn a song entitled, “We’ve Only Just Begun”.  Although I don’t remember the song in its entirety, I can recall these phrases: “so many roads to choose”; “watching the signs along the way” and “we start out walking but learn to run”.

Philippians 1:6 states “Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.” (NIV).  Therefore, whatever dreams, ideas, projects and the like that God has given to you; (yes, God gave you the thought…you just didn’t conjure it up in your mind!) … He will make available the proper conditions for them to be manifested.  Your current circumstances really don’t matter!  You still have a lot to accomplish.  There are still so many accomplishments for you to achieve….. You’ve only just begun!

Many times we have said that we are waiting on God….but that’s just an excuse whose expiration date is has long past!  Begin TODAY by dusting off that area of your mind that is holding the padlock to every “good work” that has been initiated.  Don’t be concerned about what you are lacking.   Our Jehovah Jireh will provide!

As the lyrics of the song state: We’ve Only Just Begun.

“So many roads to choose”.   But as of today; pick one and abide therein.

Watching the signs along our way”.   Therefore it is imperative that you stay alert in the realm of the Spirit; God will always give you the proper signs and direct your path.

We start out walking and learn to run”.  Yes… and now is that time when we need to pick up our pace and swiftly be about our Father’s business.

It doesn’t matter how many achievements you’ve already attained.  It doesn’t matter how many  areas appear to present  a “lack or deficiency”.  Whatever excuse you may use… doesn’t substantiate the fact that your future still holds a treasure chest of jewels….waiting to be discovered.

The ball is in your court!  Your future has no limits or boundaries….except those that you establish within the framework of your own mind!   God wants to use you far beyond what you can ever imagine (Ephesians 3:20).

Today is the beginning of your first day of the rest of your life….

And remember…….  You’ve Only Just Begun!!!!

“The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.”  Romans 13:12

Your're An Eagle - So Soar!

You’re An Eagle – So Soar!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

There was a time when many of life’s lessons were taught to children through various Bible stories or through secular tales and fables.  One of most remembered stories is the one entitled, “The Ugly Duckling”.  To summarize the entire story; there was one duckling there was drastically unlike the other little ducklings.  It just didn’t belong.   It didn’t matter what it attempted to do; as a duckling… it was a complete failure.   However one day, this duckling saw another group.   He seemed very comfortable and at home with them.  This so called duckling finally discovered that it wasn’t an ugly duckling and wasn’t really a duck at all – but a swan….a beautiful swan!

Sometimes in our lives we are not progressing simply because we are attempting to force ourselves into conforming to a standard that is totally contrary to our natural composure.  As a child of the most high God, you are called to be an eagle.  You are called to extend your wings, to lift your head, and to soar high above any and every obstruction.  Many of us are still possessing the mentally and character traits of a common pigeon.  We gather on the ground in clusters, and flutter from one crumb to the next.

An eagle is the only bird that loves a storm.  Other birds will flee from storms; however the eagle will fly into a storm.  They will allow the winds from the storm to quickly lift it higher. When in a storm, an eagle will lock its wings in place, just soar and enjoy the ride. So when you’re in a storm – because you are am eagle…….focus on the Word of God and nothing else. Rebuke fear. Then you will have the peace to extend your wings and ride out the storm!

Eagles have keen vision, are fearless, tenacious, nurturing, full of vitality, and love to fly in high altitudes.  So in spite of how you may view yourself or how others view you – you are an eagle.  An eagle also has an extremely wide wingspan. It is because the eagle’s wingspan is so wide – they can’t be cramped into a small area.

I would like to encourage you to extend your wings and soar!  The place where you are attempting to fly probably doesn’t possess the space that is required for you to open your wings and to soar!   Nothing else matters today other than the fact that you KNOW that you are an eagle.  Therefore as an eagle refuse to be bound any longer.  As an eagle, face every storm head on.  As an eagle, stand fearless in your place of dominion and exercise your authority. As an eagle, know how to revitalize yourself so that your strength will be renewed.

Lastly, eagles are usually alone.  However when they flock they do so with other eagles (Iron sharpen iron – Proverbs 27:17).   Let’s not forget to take advantage the vast array of materials that the Lord has made available to enhance our growth. We DO possess within us the DNA of an eagle!  Be determined that from today forward you will only view yourself as an eagle.  Then be unwavering in your conclusion…… and soar yourself through a lifetime of victories!

So as an eagle ….   Spread your wings…… RUN your own race and don’t become weary;

As an eagle… walk out your course and DON’T FAINT!!!

“God Has Chosen U…So Get To Steppin!!

Read: I Corinthians 12:14-28

Many times when we think about those who the Lord uses for and in ministry, we think that He only wants to use those who have certain qualifications.  We think that He wants those who: have made various educational accomplishments; have had extreme experiences; have eloquent speak or melodious voices, etc.   But I need to bring to your remembrance that, God Has chosen U!  So Get To Steppin…

You must remember that nothing you do or say surprises God. Before the foundation of this world – He established and placed in motion everything that you needed to be who He has called you to be.  The problem is, far too often, we have permitted the opinions of others and even sometimes our own opinions, to make us think that someone else is better equipped to fulfill a specific work for the Lord.

When must never forget that as the text implies God has given to each of us the gift that He knows will best suite us.  Everyone has at least one gift.

So, the next time you feel like God can’t use you; just refer to the list below.  Some of you have seen it before, but it serves as an excellent reminder to us that God can use whomever HE desires to use.  Now…. don’t use this list as an excuse to sin! However, just know that your struggles should not be the excuse for you to shun away from your calling.

Remember that:  Abraham thought that he was too old; Sarah mocked God and laughed at His promise; Isaac was a daydreamer; Jacob was a liar; Noah got drunk; Leah was ugly; Joseph was abused and he had a prison record; Moses stuttered; Gideon was afraid; Samson had long hair and was a womanizer; Rahab was a prostitute; Jeremiah and Timothy were both thought to be too young; David had an affair and was a murderer; Elijah was suicidal; Isaiah preached naked; Jonah ran from God; Naomi was a widow; Job went bankrupt; Peter denied Christ; The Disciples fell asleep while praying; Martha worried about everything; The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once; Zaccheus was too small; Paul was a boring, long winded preacher; Timothy had ulcers; Lazarus was dead and Peter had a quick temper!

Just as God used these people in Biblical times – He is using us today – REGARDLESS!  Now, remember, we are not to continue in the sins of our past or current lives – but we are never to allow the enemy to tell us that God can’t use us, because of our past or because of the struggles that we are still overcoming.

Romans 5:8 reminds us of God’s love for us.  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. While we were yet sinners God decided to use us for His glory!  We are a team.   On a team, there are different members and each plays a different role. Individual team members can win trophies.   This is great.  However, we are working to win a championship.   Championships are only won by teams.  They are won when the team pulls together; everyone doing their assigned job; to the best of their ability.

So….you’ve got to get to steppin in your neighborhood; you’ve got to get to steppin on your job; you’ve got to get to steppin in your family; and above all…you’ve got to get to steppin in your church.

Lastly, you must remember and say; without the input of the gift that the Lord has given to me; my team will have difficulty and will not win its championship.  We are all working for the same common goal.  We are all on the same team….but without just one player, YOU… the championship can’t be awarded!  You are very much needed to assist your team of “born again believers” to uproot every diabolical plan of our adversary. Whatever gift that you possess, and the devil has made you think, that it isn’t really important – that very gift is the missing link!

Yes, God has called YOU….So Get To Steppin!!!!

It’s Your Temple…. It’s Your Responsibility

“What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?”  I Corinthians 9:16

Sometimes we seem to forget that because our bodies are the temple of the Holy Ghost we must be careful what we permit to enter this temple on every level.  Usually, we are cautious in regards to our spiritual intake.  We make certain that our spiritual diet is rich in content and we filter out everything that we feel would attempt to hinder our spiritual growth or stamina.

We have the spiritual aspect pretty well covered.  However, what about in the natural?   Are you doing your part to maintain your physical health as well?  We sometimes forget that the maintenance of our temples is our responsibility.  While we can quote our confessions concerning divine healing and walking in good health – if we are not putting the proper food into our bodies – we are simply working against our confessions.  Many people think that if they are thin that they are healthy – not necessarily so.  Only your physician can advise your concerns in that area.

Here in the USA we are about to enter what some are calling the flu season.  As with the recession; I have chosen not to participate!  However, I will move in wisdom to assure that I maintain a healthy diet - as to not give the enemy any access in the natural.

I recently came across the list below which will be beneficial in the boosting of your immune system.  Remember your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost – therefore God expects YOU to keep it healthy.

7 Flu – Fighting Foods (by Niss Simon)

Tomatoes – Vitamin C rich.  Boost the body’s natural defense system in the same way as their citrusy relatives do.  One medium produces 40% of your daily vitamin C requirement.

Almonds- Rich source of the antioxidant vitamin E which helps to ward of viral infections.  To maximize absorption opt for chopped almonds, almond butter or almond oil.

Mushrooms – Heighten the body’s resistance to viral infections by increasing the natural killer cells.  Rich in selenium; low levels of this element have been linked with an increased risk of developing more severe flu.

Tea – Green, black and oolong all contain naturally occurring compounds that reduce the risk of the flu.  They contain quercetin – a powerful antioxidant, and L-threonine, an amino acid found naturally only in tea.  Decaffeinated teas also contain the amino acid, but most herbal teas do not.

Carrots – rich in beta-carotene; which the body uses to ward off respiratory infections.  Other good sources are dark green vegetables, sweet potatoes, pumpkin and winter squash.

Black –Eyed Peas – Rich in zinc. Pinto beans, peanuts, roasted pumpkin seeds and wheat germ are other good choices.

Yogurt – Probiotics, found in yogurt and other fermented foods strengthens the immune system.  Cottage cheese, kimchi, and sauerkraut will have the same affect.

“But I discipline my body and keep it under control,……….”  I Corinthians 9:27

Lord, YOU are my Strength!

Lord, YOU are my strength!

“JEHOVAH UZZI”

(The Lord my strength - Psalms 28:7)

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. “  Psalm 73:26                                                  New Living Translation (©2007)

Read Psalm 28 & Psalm 73

As we have daily encountered the circumstances of life, we have realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but the strength of the Lord.

The word strength in the above text for strength translates as “rock”.  Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you, Lord will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you are still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge you, Jehovah Uzzi,  in all of my ways.  Daily may I remember that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock, that pillar and that fortress forever in my life.

So Lord, when everything: every foundational principle, every prop, every  support system, every ideology, every concept, every belief system –EVERYTING… that has been erected in my life—is shaken….may I never, never, never forget that YOU are my strength…..my rock.

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.

Dottie Rambo wrote a song several years ago that has influenced many other song artists to re-record it entitled, “I GO TO THE ROCK”.   Why not permit the lyrics of this song to minister the healing, peace, and the stability that only a rock can confirm……and LEARN to lean and totally depend on your Jehovah Uzzi.

I Go To The Rock

Where do I go when there's nobody else to turn to?  Who do I talk to when nobody wants to listen?
Who do I lean on when there's no foundation stable?

I go to the rock - I know He's able - I go to the rock.

The Lord is the rock I go to the rock for my salvation; I go to the stone that the builders rejected,
I run to the mountain and the mountain, he stands by me.

When the Earth all around me is sinking sand. On Christ, the solid rock I stand,
When I need a shelter, when I need a friend….. I go to the rock.

Where do I go, where do I go; When the storms of life are threatening?
Who do I turn to when those winds of sorrows blow?  And is there a refuge in the time of tribulation?

I go to the rock - I know He's able - I go to the rock!

"Lisen" and Obey

“Listen” and Obey

“But whoever listens to me will dwell secure and will be at ease, without dread of disaster.” Proverbs 1:33 ESV

On last weekend I had the opportunity to go out of town and visit a church that I had not previously attended.  Today as I was reflecting, the Lord had me to focus on one specific incident.

One of the ministers in the service yesterday was asked to pray after the reading of the scripture.  However when this minister came forward, he stated that he wanted to give a brief praise report about something that had recently transpired.  Well, the pastor immediately and politely spoke up and asked him to please just pray at this time and that she would give him an opportunity to give his praise report at a later time.

Children of God…. we must listen and obey at all times.  It doesn’t matter whether we are in a service, on the job, or in the mall.  Where ever we are; we are subject to the rules that have been established.  Sometimes we fail to realize that when we are not disciplined and we begin to operate in what our flesh desires… no matter what the desire ….it just might be sin!  We must constantly ask ourselves “why” am I doing what I’m doing; “when” I’m doing it? Are my actions AND my motives to truly bring glory to God?

Now back to the service that I previously mentioned.  There was already a time allotted for Praise Reports.  We must never attempt to override the instructions that we are given in a service.  The proper method to handle any “leadings of the Spirit” that you may feel, would be to confer with the Pastor or the person in charge.  We must trust that God has and is directing the Leader.  The Leader is accountable to God.  Whatever they permit or disallow will be judged by God.

When that person gave their Praise Report, it was in reference to a prestigious elevation that they are going to receive.  It was well received…. But I just wonder if it would have been more effective if it was spoken within the allotted time.

We must be ever so careful that we listen to God and obey His instructions… exactly. He will never “speak to our spirit” and tell us to just do what “we” think is best when the order has already been established.

Rebellion on ANY level is still as the sin of witchcraft (I Samuel 15:23)!  We must be ever so alert in these end times that we are not permitting the enemy to ever so carefully ease his into a situation.  When we are determined that we want God to truly get the glory; we will operate in total obedience…regardless.

Obedience requires submission.  Submission requires a broken and a freed spirit.  To receive a freed spirit, one must be willing to live a lifestyle that has been disciplined and heeding the voice of the Lord.  This entire process is sustained by an ongoing intimate relationship with the Lord.

“He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches.” Revelation 2:7
