Don't Miss The Sound!

Don’t Miss The Sound!

“And when you shall HEAR the sound of marching in the top of the mulberry trees, then you shall advance quickly.”  I Chronicles 14:15

The Lord, our Baal Perazim (the God of Breakthrough) is confirming His position in our current battle.  Just as He was with David, He is reminding us that His wisdom still supersedes that of the adversary.

When reading this story in I Chronicles (or II Samuel) we discovered that Baal Perazim required  David’s response  to be quick and at precisely the right time.  Let’s consider the plateau from which David operated.

  1. David had to know the voice of the Lord.
  2. David had to remain alert and attentive in the realm of the spirit.
  3. David had to already have his weapons and be positioned offensively.

When we attempt to correlate this story to our daily lives, we must remember that:

  1. David sought the Lord for direction prior to the onset of the battle.
  2. The Lord went before David and “Broke Through” the front line of the enemy’s defense.
  3. Whatever the Lord has done before, He still has the power to do again.

I found it interesting that David was told to LISTEN for a certain sound. If we are going to know exactly when to advance, conquer and reclaim our territory; then we must critique or fine tune our ability to recognize a specific sound. Far too often we are listening to and follow the wrong sound!  David’s specific sound was the sound of marching.  Are you aware of the sound that God is using in your life as a form of confirmation?

Next, the sound was in a designated place - the tree tops.  Not on the ground, nor in the air, but in the top of the mulberry trees.  This fact reminds us that the specific sound will resonate from a specific, designated destination….. to the ear of one who has the sensitivity to hear!

So, because Baal Perazim had already preceded David, he (David) was able to be victorious.

Our God is still operating as Baal Perazim today.  He has broken through the front line of defense in our enemy’s territory and is permitting us to recover all!  But we must LISTEN for our specific marching orders.

Don’t permit there to be a delay in your recovery because you didn’t hear or recognize the voice of God concerning His specific instructions; advising you how and when to advance - and recover all!

Just as David did…. Seek the face of God, Listen for the Sound, and March your way to victory.

Nobody Greater!

Nobody Greater!!!

Lord, you are supreme in power & position.

Elhoy Marom”

(The God of heights – Micah 6:6)

As this text is researched, we can observe that the word “height” here signifies supremacy of power and position.

So Lord, may I now align and place everything under the authority of who you are.  May I never exalt the power of my thoughts or actions above what your word demonstrates and declares.

I will no longer surrender to; and I forbid, any other power to rule or to reign in my life.  My acceptance of your sovereignty and my knowledge of your omnipotence validate who you are.  I ask that those character qualities fully infiltrate my every thought.  May I renew my mind to the extent that I have reworded my vocabulary to release from my mouth, only the words that will reflect what your Word declares.

There is no other; nor has there ever been; nor will there ever be; any force; - visible or invisible, that is able to be in comparison with who you are.  Your attributes reveal that you are matchless. Therefore you are the monarch, the exalted one.  We could climb up to the highest mountain; even search the lowest valley….  And the supremacy of your power and authority would yet reveal that… There’s NOBODY GREATER THAN YOU!

Therefore, may I continuous position my spirit to operate in submission only to your sovereign reign, only to your absolute authority and only to your ultimate guidance… For YOU ALONE ARE GREAT!

"Nobody Greater’

(Vashawn Mitchell)

I climbed up to the highest mountain; I looked all around, couldn't find nobody
Went down into the deepest valley Looked all around down there, couldn't find nobody
I went across the deep blue sea;
Couldn't find one to compare... to your grace, your love, your mercy
Nobody greater... nobody greater than you

Searched all over... couldn't find nobody; I looked high and low... still couldn't find nobody
Nobody greater... nobody greater no... nobody greater than you

Nobody can heal... like you can; Oh most holy one you are the Great I Am
Awesome in all your ways and mighty is your hand
You are He who carried out redemption's plan; You are He who carried out redemption's plan

Searched all over... couldn't find nobody
I looked high and low... still couldn't find nobody
Nobody greater... nobody greater... nobody greater than you!

You are Someone's Bridge

You Are Someone’s Bridge

Bear ye one another's burdens, and so fulfil the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2

Although you may not have viewed it from this perspective; but God has birthed within you the ability to be a bridge for someone else.  He has given to you the wisdom, compassion and the authority to safely transport someone from their current place to a new place in Him!

If we were to do a little research in the area of architecture, we would discover that there are basically four different types of bridges (sources vary to the exact number; with some listing up to seven).  Nevertheless, all of them are responsible for transporting; and for being that reliable connection between at least two points.

The purpose of the bridge is to provide passage OVER a given situation.  Therefore it matters not the type, weight limitations, or composition of the bridge – its job is to transport OVER obstacles.

As you view yourself as someone’s bridge; you will realize that it is your responsibility to undergo routine, scheduled “maintenance checks”.  You can’t neglect your spiritual, nor your physical overhauls.  You need to be effective and preserve under carrying the weight of another and transporting that weight to the Lord.  Wisdom is the key.  Consequently, you must always remain cognizant of the fact that EVERYTHING you are involved in; positive or negative; will affect your durability, your tenaciousness and your level of sensitivity.   God has already given to each of us the character qualities which are necessary for us to perform efficiently according to the type of bridge that He designed us to be.

Don’t permit the enemy to cloud your mind or to disillusion you!  YOU are someone’s bridge.  Although you may not have considered it - nor be aware of who that person(s) is(are); someone is watching you and is depending on you to carry them over their next obstacle in life.

Lastly, remember that the bridge offers hope.  A bridge makes the unspoken statement that – “this is not the end of your journey”.  A bridge proclaims that, “I am your ACCESS OVER the problem, difficulty, hindrance, obstruction or blockage”.

In some battles the Lord will tell us to stand and to fight.  Then, there are others where He instructs us to simply “take a bridge OVER” them!  In other words, speak to it and keep it moving!  It is in those instances when you; as a God ordained “bridge”….can be used of Him to assist someone over their troubled water … by reassuring them that His undying, unconditional love…. Still yet prevails.

So remember…. you are someone’s bridge. Stand strong, stay focused, and be tenacious.  Regardless of what you experiencing ….. you are a vital asset to someone as they pursue their destiny.

It's Manifestation Time!

It’s Manifestation Time!

“Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, that the plowman shall overtake the reaper, and the treader of grapes him that soweth seed; and the mountains shall drop sweet wine, and all the hills shall melt.  And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them.   And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the Lord thy God.”                                                                                                                           Amos 9;13-15

I had read the following vision of a Prophet concerning the above verses.  The Prophet said in his vision he saw: “Two men walked through a freshly plowed field, dark and rich with ready soil. The first man had a very large canvas sack hanging in front of him full of corn seed. The man behind him had a large sickle. They began to walk down the first row in the field and soon were walking in perfect step, right-left, right-left... As the first man walked, he would drop a corn kernel, then drive it deep into the soil using his right heel. As soon as his heel came up out of the deep soil, the corn stalk would immediately spring up to full height and the ears of corn would "pop" into fullness. At almost that exact instant, the man carrying the sickle would swipe through the base of the plant, harvesting it immediately - just barely missing the heel of the man in front of him. This continued down the row: at each step, the seed would fall, be planted, spring to life and be harvested - in an instant.”

Many in the body of Christ are daily beginning to reap the benefits and provisions that have been previously prophesied and witnessed by the Saints of old.  The Word for us as endtime warriors is FAITHFULNESS! God has begun to return to us ALL that has been stolen - and lost; be it through ignorance, negligence or abortion.

However, as you begin to receive, you must remain faithful and sincere in your devotion to your calling, your vision, and your purpose. Manifestation without the proper maintenance will result in failure!

So… LAUNCH OUT of the box and remove every restraint that is restricting your cognitive capacities and don’t limit the interpretation of these verses to just your finances!

  • Expect such an increase in your wisdom, knowledge and understanding, that you will begin to become more proactive instead of reactive; especially in your approach to the dismantling of every diabolical device aimed in your direction.
  • Expect an increase in productive relationships.
  • Expect an increase your territory; spiritual,  physical, and mental.
  • Expect an increase of everything that is positive in your life.
  • Expect to receive a level of greatness that has not been readily available nor accessible.
  • Expect increase, increase, and increase!!!

Yes….. it’s manifestation time… so if you haven’t already done so…..shift your mindset to now operate from the position of being the lender and not the borrower… of being above only and never again beneath ANYTHING!

“Yes indeed, it won’t be long now.” God’s Decree.  Things are going to happen so fast your head will swim, one thing fast on the heels of the other. You won’t be able to keep up. Everything will be happening at once—and everywhere you look, blessings! Blessings like wine pouring off the mountains and hills. I’ll make everything right again for my people Israel: “They’ll rebuild their ruined cities. They’ll plant vineyards and drink good wine. They’ll work their gardens and eat fresh vegetables. And I’ll plant them, plant them on their own land. They’ll never again be uprooted from the land I’ve given them.” God, your God, says so.               Amos 9:13-15 (MSG)

You're An Eagle... So Soar!

You’re An Eagle – So Soar!

But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagle……………. Isaiah 40:31

There was a time when many of life’s lessons were taught to children through various Bible stories or through secular tales and fables.  One of my most remembered stories is the one entitled, “The Ugly Duckling”.  To summarize the entire story; there was one duckling there was drastically unlike the other ducks.  It just didn’t belong.  However one day, it was discovered that this ugly duckling wasn’t really a duck – but a swan…. A beautiful swam!

Sometimes in our lives we are not progressing simply because we are attempting to force ourselves into conforming to a standard that is totally contrary to our natural composure.  As a child of the most high God, you are called to be an eagle.  You are called to extend your wings, to lift your head, and to soar high above any and every obstruction.  Many of us are still possessing the mentally and character traits of a common pigeon.  We gather on the ground in clusters, and flutter from one crumb to the next.

An eagle is the only bird that loves a storm.  Other birds will flee from storms; however the eagle will fly into a storm.  They will allow the winds from the storm to quickly lift them higher. When in a storm, an eagle will lock its wings in place, just soar and enjoy the ride. You are an eagle!  So when you’re in a storm – focus on the Word of God and nothing else.  Open your mouth and speak to that storm!  Rebuke the spirit of fear.  Receive the spirit of peace.  Then you will have the ability to ride out the storm in victory!

Eagles have keen vision, are fearless, tenacious, nurturing, full of vitality, and love to fly in high altitudes.  So in spite of how you may view yourself or how others view you – remember… you are an eagle.  An eagle also has an extremely wide wingspan.  Therefore, because the eagle’s wingspan is so wide – they can’t be cramped into a small area.

I would like to encourage you to extend your wings and soar!  The place where you are now attempting to fly might not possess the space that is required for you to open your wings to their fullest extent……And you certainly have no space to soar.

Nothing else matters today other than the fact that you KNOW that you are an eagle.  Therefore as an eagle refuse to be bound any longer.  As an eagle, face every storm head on.  As an eagle, stand fearless in your place of dominion and exercise your authority. As an eagle, know how to revitalize yourself so that your strength will be renewed.

Lastly, when necessary, eagles will only congregate with other eagles (Iron sharpen iron – Proverbs 27:17).   You DO possess within you the DNA of an eagle!  Stop attempting to diminish your dreams, and visions to conform to the standards of the “pigeons”. Be determined that from today forward you will only view yourself as an eagle.   Then be unwavering in your conclusion…… and soar yourself through a lifetime of victories!  Soar Eagles Soar….Spread your wings……and Soar!

“Be strong and courageous. Do not fear or be in dread of them, for it is the Lord your God who goes with you. He will not leave you or forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Your Samuel Is On The Way!

Your Samuel Is On The Way!

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up” Galatians 6:9

The Lord has instructed me to remind you that all of your praying and all of your fasting has not been in vain.  When we consider the example which was given to us by Hannah; we can glean an insight into the diligence which is required to remain faithful…… until your “Samuel” has been manifested.

The Lord has said that we must read once again the story of Hannah (I Samuel 1.)  We must remember that Hannah’s womb was closed by the Lord.   There was nothing wrong with the seed that was sown.   The seed had been sown into good ground.  The potential of the ground to produce wasn’t the problem.  God had intervened and would not permit the ground to receive and produce the seed.

God today is saying that for many of you, you have sown good seed, into good ground; however His appointed time for your manifestation had not arrived.  He has permitted you to be ridiculed, criticized, and mocked….. Even by those in the house of the Lord.  (Remember Hannah’s actions and intents were even mistaken by the man of God!)  Yet, you, like Hannah have continued to remain faithful and to endure through every test and trial.

We must remember that as we have been awaiting the arrival of our Samuel – our level of faith has been greatly increased and our stamina intensified.  Birthed within us; as we waited, has been a powerful level of humility and strength.  This dimension from which we now operate permits us to be as synonymous to a “bull walking through a china store”… however not breaking a single dish!  The wait has so fortified our faith and our relationship with the Lord – to the extent that we have become that profitable servant; totally sold out for the Him.

No one had to remind Hannah of the vow that she had made to the Lord.  If you have not arrived at the place in your walk with the Lord that you can honor your vows made to Him without the assistance of anyone – then you are not ready for the birth of your Samuel!

However, if you have prayed like Hannah did; remained faithful like Hannah did; endured the times of disappointment, discouragement and seemingly being defeated year in and year out – like Hannah did…..then you will receive you Samuel…..just as Hannah did!

Be encouraged….. God’s appointed time IS at hand!  You will receive your Samuel – just as Hannah did – simply because God is not slack concerning His promises!  Every one of his promises are YEA & AMEN….. WHATEVER He has promised will; without a shadow of a doubt… come to past…….  However in HIS divine timing!

Not is not the time to throw in the towel!  Remain steadfast…. Your Samuel IS on the way!!!!

“ For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry.”  Habakkuk 2:3

Yielded... But Not Broken

Yielded ….. But Not Broken

“Not of works”....  Ephesians 2:9

The Lord wants to be in total control of our lives.  However, for the most part, far too many of His faithful followers haven’t received the boldness which is required  for them to operate from a platform of being “broken”.  They are faithful in the “doing” while lacking in the “being”.  In other words we are basically still living our lives from the position of observing the law (the covenant of works); instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to accomplish His work though us.

We have yielded our thoughts, actions and words to the LEADING of the Holy Spirit which is a great achievement… for a new convert.   When I “yield” in a given situation; I remain in control and decide the outcome of that situation.   When I am yielded, I will faithfuuly and in all sincerity: pay my tithes, “assemble myself with other believers”, study and read my Bible, etc.  However, because I am only yielded – I am still basing my relationship with the Lord on all of these things that I am “doing”.

When I become that broken vessel …. I have matured to the place where I am no longer in control at all.  Therefore my mind has been renewed to the extent that I will move in instant obedience to the voice of the Lord.  A broken vessel truly “Takes no thought for tomorrow” when they receive a command from the Lord. A broken vessel doesn’t worry, fret or become overly concerned about the outcome of situations or circumstances.  A broken vessel has learned the art of resting in the assurance of the unconditional love of the Lord – regardless.

A yielded vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord; but may delay in obeying…

A broken vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord and w/o giving it a second      thought - instantly obey.

A yielded vessel will still “stake claims” on their material possessions….

A broken vessel will say, “Lord EVERYTHING that I have is yours” - ….they will freely release  ANYTHING that they possess when the initial instruction comes from the Lord.

A yielded vessel is still in the process of being molded, reshaped and refashioned.   A yielded vessel is still developing into a vessel that has been stripped of every traditional ideology, concept and precept.  Then once stripped, this vessel can now be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit and refashioned to be used totally by Him for His glory.

To be effective in these last days; we can no longer be just yielded vessels.  It’s a new day! The Lord doesn’t desire for us to only be yielded.   We must become broken vessels by Him for Him.

I challenge you to sincerely seek the face of God, asking Him to reveal the areas in your mind where ungodly or immature strongholds still exist…. The areas where you are only yielded – and not broken.

We must be determined to become broken vessels because:

Broken vessels are vessels of virtue;

Broken vessels are vessels of valor and above all;

Broken vessels are vessels of Victory!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.  Isaiah 43:19

Little by Little....Bit by Bit

Little By Little….Bit By Bit

(Excerpts from a lecture that I had presented; please contact me if you desire to read it in its entirety)

Consider a wood carver (carpenter), a skin grafter (surgeon) and an ice sculptor.  Prior to beginning a specific job; each already has in view a picture of how the finished product should look.  Although each of these people is very skilled– their level of expertise is limited to their specific arena.  The materials that they use are quite different – but their techniques are similar. If they are going to be successful in their accomplishments, they all must first excel in a course entitled “Patience 101”.  Patience is a vital component that must be on board.  They have also learned that a skillful hand is governed by a focused mind.  They have learned that because of the nature of their work; delicate and intensive procedures are involved.  They have learned that whether they must chisel, shave or chip – it must be done; layer by layer; little by little and bit by bit.

When God sees us He sees the finished product.  Therefore, every day; when we are submitted and committed to Him; He is chipping, chiseling and shaving from us everything that is preventing us from becoming what He has already decreed that we shall become.

Wood, skin and ice are all composed differently; yet bare some of the same components.  How do we initially identify or differentiate between each?  By their outward appearance.    In comparison – how are we usually initially identified by others?  By what they perceive with their physical eye.  When people look at us – wherever we are – they expect to see us depicting who we proclaim to be.   Therefore, God as the craftsman is always chipping away old habits; chiseling away incorrect doctrines, theologies and traditions; and shaving off any traces of our former Adamic nature.

Every substance has a level of durability that is common to its molecular structure.   One test that yields a lot of information is the ability of a substance to endure heat.  When we consider our three elements; ice has the least resistance to fire; and wood the greatest.  God is taking us through each phase of our lives; in an attempt to get us to the point where our natural composition is completely changed ….and our mindset becomes more of a “spiritual” molecular being.  His desire is that we will have the durability of the piece of wood – yet function with the versatility of ice.

So, wherever you are in your own spiritual developmental stage – you are still a “work in progress”.   God is still perfecting everything that concerns you.  Our lives can be compared to the three elements – skin, ice and wood.  When you have learned to permit your flesh (skin); to go through the process of isolation (required for the formulation of ice); then you will become as indestructible as a brick of gold (representative of wood).  However we must remain cognizant of the fact that our change is occurring…… little by little and bit by bit.

“Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb.

I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking!   Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation! You know me inside and out, you know every bone in my body; You know exactly how I was made, bit by bit, how I was sculpted from nothing into something.  Like an open book, you watched me grow from conception to birth; all the stages of my life were spread out before you, The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day.”

Heavy Weights Build Strong Muscles

And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; Romans 5:3

In earlier years we used to sing a song entitled, “Jacob’s Ladder”.  It was one of those songs which had a seemingly endless amount of verses.  Each verse would end with the statement, “Soldiers of the Cross”.  At that time, I didn’t fully understand the concepts that were attempting to be expressed and impressed upon us.

Today we have saints who fail to realize that they are “soldiers of the cross”. As a soldier, I must understand the fact that God has orchestrated every test, trial and difficult situation, for no other reason than to build my spiritual muscles.

Far too often we have only obtained the ability to successfully lift a ten pound weight in the realm of the spirit.  Then, we seem amazed when we are confronted with a situation requiring the ability to lift fifty pounds and we are unsuccessful – often blaming God for our inabilities and fallacies.  Sadly to say, I constantly observe Saints who are enduring very rigorous physical exercises and toning every physical muscle – however their spiritual muscles are flabby, weak and are in deplorable condition!  Physical exercise is extremely important – however we must exert MORE energy into the development and the conditioning of our spiritual muscles than those of our physical bodies.

So how do we begin to build up our spiritual muscles?

  1. Trusting in our own relationship with the Lord.  As a babe in Christ, it was tolerable for us to always run and whine to other Saints with our problems and difficult situations.  However, when will you begin to trust and validate your own relationship with the Lord?  When will you begin to lift those heavier weights in the realm of the Spirit and really believe who and whose YOU are?  When will you believe what YOU say to the extent that you will KNOW because of your relationship with the Lord that whatever you’ve asked…. it’s done!?  When will you begin to build those muscles of faith and realize that God has given to you the power to only SPEAK to every adverse situation and command that His promises prevail ?                                                                                                      I can attest to the fact that in extremely difficult situations, I’ve sought the Lord; trusted in Him and Him alone – without sharing the information with anyone else…. and He has NEVER failed. Sure, at the onset, my faith hadn’t matured to this level…. it was a process that had to begin at some point. When we ask God for something; and then proceed to ask someone else; that’s an indication that our spiritual muscles need to be toned.  In other words, that’s symbolic of asking your earthly father for something; and then, once you’ve asked him… you run off and ask someone else to accommodate your request.  Would that occur?  Absolutely not!  ….Only if your doubted your earthly father or felt as though he was incapable of producing your request.    So it is with our Heavenly father.  We must learn to trust Him with the assurance that He WILL grant our every request (that is in alignment with His word). His integrity is beyond reproach.  We can’t forget that we are joint heirs with His Son; and we must believe in our own relationship with Him. Of course thoughts will come and attempt to weaken your faith.  However we must be determine to lift those heavy weights by standing on the Word of God – if we are going to have those strong muscles.

(Now if you feel as though your walk isn’t strong enough yet for you to stand alone or your faith hasn’t progressed to this level yet; by all means seek for and request the assistance of others who are stronger than you are.  However, we must be determined not to be “co-dependent” upon anyone…other than the Holy Spirit!)

Yes, we are climbing a Spiritual ladder where every round gets higher and higher.  The song Jacob’s Ladder also asked the question, “Do you think I’ll make a good soldier?”

As we lift the heavy weights in the realm of the Spirit, we will build those strong muscles which will enable us to effectively, successfully and strategically stand as an endtime soldier.  Then we will have merited the ability to respond with the concluding verses of the song by responding, “Yes I know I’ll make a good soldier”.  Then and only then will we be able to totally come into agreement with the last verse…. which states… “Rise, Shine; Give God the Glory”!

To be continued…..

Whom Does My Love Cover?

Whom Does My Love Cover?

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”     I Peter 4:8

I’m reminded of an illustration that I saw many years ago concerning God’s love for us – and how we are to mirror the same.  The love of God has no boundaries, limitations or restrictions.   His love is totally unconditional and transcends every sin that we could ever imagine.  He has a love for ALL of mankind and so desires for us to: first be recipients of that love…and then to share it with EVERYONE that we encounter.

Now, for the most part, we have no real issue or reserve assuming the position of the one who is the recipient of any expression of love.  However, we then become like the unmerciful person in Matthew 18:33 . When God extends His love to us and forgives us – we fail to permit that same virtue to permeate our spirits.  We will often become judgmental, analytical, insensitive and downright hypercritical concerning the application of that same love towards the faults and failures of others.

In the illustration that I mentioned earlier; a person was placed in the center of the circle.  This person had several 3x5cards pinned to them that bore the names of various sinful deeds and lifestyles.  Then another person had a very large quilt with only one card pinned to it. This one card read, “God’s Love”. The quilt; which had the words, “God’s Love” on it was large enough to completely cover the person who was sitting in the circle.  The quilt was placed over the person who was sitting in the middle of the circle. This person, seated in the circle; who bore the titles of various sins; could no longer be seen because they were completely covered with the quilt entitled “God’s Love”! Was the person still in the center? Yes.  But they couldn’t be seen because God’s Love (the quilt) had completely covered them!

So I ask you.. Who does your love cover?  Do you have the love of God that is COMPLETELY unconditional? Or…do you make excuses for the boundaries and the stipulations that you’ve placed on what “you call” God’s love?  We must boldly stand for those who have not yet had the ability to experience the love of God.   Once someone has encountered the true love of God –they will turn to Him…and “HE” will bring the deliverance.  He will give them the ability and desire to turn totally unto Him.  (Note: Now don’t get it twisted! While we are never to make provisions for, nor sanction  any acceptance of sinful acts or the ungodly lifestyles of others; we must learn how to DEMONSTRATE genuine, unconditional love to all –despising the sin, but not the sinner.)

Remember that God needs US…the body of Christ to SHOW.. not just talk and sing about His love.  I’m often asked about the connections that I have with certain groups of people.  My response is always – if I don’t show them God’s love….then who will?

Let’s be more adamant in our daily walk concerning our love walk.  The world is in dire need of true love.  And…. Yes, they are looking for this love in all of the wrong places.  However, when they do come to the right place, which is the house of the Lord; and when they encounter the correct people – who are the current day disciples of Christ….. Will they find the love of God … that covers?  We have what they need – but we must be willing to let go of our prideful mindsets, then venture outside of the walls of our buildings, and “SHOW some real love”.

So….. Ask yourself, “Does my love cover?”  If not…..why not?

“….. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.  John 8:11

Be Who God Has Created You To Be!

“I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvelous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.” Psalms 139:14

WARRIORS!!! Remember that you are uniquely, fearfully and wonderfully hand crafted by God. Therefore you must stand boldly; embrace your uniqueness….and don’t unconsciously imitate others.

God has given unto you a strategic battle plan - that can only be properly implemented by you. However, if you are not comfortable in being yourself - you will not be able to effectively invade the satanic data bases and be the effective warrior that God has designed you to be. There are diabolical plans of the enemy that continue to stand firm because many of us are not confidently positioned in our own uniqueness. Far too often, we are not fulfilling our God given assignments because we have unconsciously engulfed patterns, traditions and the like which are limiting OUR effectiveness.  We have seemed to embrace the notion that we must: walk like, talk like, preach like, prophesy like…. Bishop “so and so” or Pastor “so and so”.    We have failed to realize that those people are victorious in their giftings simply because they are adhering to their own uniqueness.  We will discover that our journey will become much easier once we learn how to walk in the footprints and leading of the Holy Spirit, instead of those of other saints!

Advancing towards maturity now demands that we stand our ground in the realm of the spirit and BOLDLY use the weapons that God has instilled within us!  Seek the face of God for the boldness to venture into the uncharted waters of your own life.  Refuse to remain the same.

Growth demands some form of alteration.  Anything that is alive grows and experiences some type of change.  Therefore, if everything: your prayer life; your sense of discernment; your tolerance level; your love and concern for the homeless, imprisoned, etc…. if everything has remained the same day after day, month after month year after year…. I would question your growth in the realm of the spirit.  I would question whether you have tapped into your God given uniqueness.  I would question whether you are advancing towards being that threat to the kingdom of darkness that you were created to be!

Learn to be satisfied with WHO you are…..but not WHERE you are!  God has carefully and wisely created you ….to be you.  Embrace who you are… and remember; No one can perfect you ….. At being you….. Except you!

“But you are the ones chosen by God, chosen for the high calling of priestly work, chosen to be a holy people, God’s instruments to do his work and speak out for him, to tell others of the night-and-day difference he made for you - from nothing to something, from rejected to accepted.”

Defeated Foe or Confident Warrior…….The Decision is Yours!

“But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:19

If we were to take a quick poll of those who are operating in leadership positions within the body of Christ; we would readily discover that many are operating from the mentally of “defeat” instead of “confidence”.

Today ask yourself from which platform you are truly functioning.  Does your confidence in the promises of God end at the onset of the least little “boo” from the enemy’s camp?  If so… you’re a Defeated Foe!  Has your level of faith still not matured to the state where you can place your petitions before the Lord; according to 1 John 5:14 & 15 and move on?  If not….. you’re a Defeated Foe!   Are you still “hoping” that the situations will change  after you’ve confidently made all of your decrees and declarations?  If so… you’re living your life as a Defeated Foe!

A warrior is one who maintains the mindset of victory.  They can’t be conquered!  Even in the event that the outcome of a given situation may appear to show signs of loss – a true warrior always wins!  Why?  Because a true warrior has the mental stability and maturity to remain focused on their target – regardless.  It doesn’t matter the nature nor the source of their opposition, they will remain focused in the midst of any situation.  A true warrior knows that they may encounter disappointing situations, but THEY are never defeated …because they triumph in every situation (2 Corinthians 2:14).   A confident warrior will have many battle scars – yet they will still say and mean – “Though he slay me, yet will I hope in him; I will surely defend my ways to his face” (Job 13:15).  A confident warrior will genuinely believe that their hope and trust are in the Lord. (And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in thee. Ps 39:7). A confident warrior will “Always and ALWAY” (w/o the “s”) – have a Praise in their hearts and a shout in their mouth (Ps. 34:1).  A confident warrior never quits – but maintains the tenacity of a bull dog.  A confident warrior is NEVER impressed nor surprised by anything that emanates from the enemy’s camp – but views every circumstance as an opportunity for God to do the miraculous and His name to be glorified!

So I ask again – Which are you… Defeated Foe or Confident Warrior? Your works and lifestyle tell the story!

Just Shift to Autopilot

Just Shift to Autopilot

I will instruct thee and teach thee in the way which thou shalt go: I will guide thee with mine eye.                                                                            Psalm 32:8

An autopilot system is a program used to guide a vehicle without the assistance of the pilot.  I found it interesting that this system is usually only used when the pilot needs to climb, descend or remain stable at a certain altitude while following a specified route of flight.   There are also instances when the pilot is instructed from the control center to switch to autopilot; thus permitting the complete control of a plane to be in the guidance of someone else.  However, a plane must have this system in tact prior to take off – if the pilot is going to have the ability to use it.

There are times in our lives when it is reassuring to know that we are never left alone to guide and to manage the operation our lives.  When we are climbing to new heights we never have to fear or to become alarmed; we can just shift to autopilot.  When we are confronted or faced with situations where our visibility is uncertain – just shift to autopilot.  When we need to maintain a certain altitude – we only have to just shift to autopilot.

When the plane is using the autopilot system – the pilot is experiencing trouble free, worry free, hands off flying.  We, in our lives can also take advantage of this type of “cruise controlled” living.  However we must have in our control center the master pilot; … the one who has the ability to have full knowledge of every situation that may occur.  We must have established the proper connection with our Master Pilot prior to the onset of any type of “turbulence”  which may arise.   When we have learned to place our lives in the capable hands of our omnipotent, omnipresent, immutable Father - it then becomes His responsibility to control and to orchestrate the occurrences of our lives.   He is the only one who has the ability to reassure us and to make certain that we will weather every flight in life successfully.

So, for smooth sailing, even on a clear day when all appears to be going well; just shift to autopilot.  Also, always remember that our autopilot has an additional feature.  He has no limitations or restrictions.  The turbulent conditions in our lives never become too difficult for Him to handle.  Whenever we feel the need – we can just make the shift.   He is always just one pray, one call, one thought away.   Don’t attempt to fly “solo”.  Thrust yourself into the capable hands of God Almighty…. Learn to rest in Him….By just shifting to autopilot!

The Extreme Power Outage

Extreme Power Outage

Read.. I John 4:1-5

A while ago there was an article in “Bloomberg Businessweek” which attempted to explain the shifting balance in the world economy.  The writer exampled the purchases of a few U.S. major brands like Heinz (worth about $23 billion at that time) and Burger King ($3.3 billion) by foreign investors.  The writer also shared insight to the enhanced concepts that have now invaded our economic and political arena – from which no one is currently exempted. In other words the power that once stabilized the U.S. and her “commodities” is no longer valid.  She has lost her leverage and is experiencing a major power outage.

As I read the article, I began to equate it to a dilemma that we are apparently experiencing in the body of Christ.  It appears that we also have been invaded by foreign investors!  It appears that the Church has now given birth to a generation; who, like the new breed of Israelites (read Exodus chapter 1) - knows not the God of their former and founding Fathers.

The Church has permitted the removal of the old land mark – for which we were cautioned not to do (Proverbs 23:10).  We have permitted the elimination of foundational principles in our Churches by those who KNOW NOT OUR GOD…….foreign investors! We have looked in the opposite direction at the introduction of a total “lack of respect” for the ordinances and sacraments in our Churches – and have adopted “less intimidating” laws….. foreign investors!   In other words, I would dare to say that the average Christian has taken this dispensation of “grace” as a “get out of jail free card”.  They have no longer acquired the proper convictions to correctly amend their spirits to conform to such mandates as: celibacy, tithing, fasting, loyalty or integrity.  We have now sought to just be “comfortable” and to engage in whatever we “feel” is correct……foreign investor! And the list could continue forever!

So what has this given rise to? Sadly to say…the pitiful, disgraceful, inadequate, non-productive, spiritual state that we find existing in far too many of our Churches.  We’ve permitted these foreign investors to cause a “disturbance” in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore we have a vast power outage!

The Church’s power outage, is to the extent that many Christians no longer experience nor possess that current which empowers them with the eagerness or compassion to: visit and care for the sick, make prison visits, attend prayer meetings and Bible studies….. many have never ever attended an “All Night Prayer Service” (if one can still be located!) .  We will comfortably sit and leave those “task” to those who are “called” to those ministries!   We, the body of Christ, have experienced a major power outage in the realm of the spirit; therefore the enemy can just come boldly into our Churches without any or by receiving very little opposition. We need locks on the Church doors and security guards in our services because we don’t have the power to build and establish an effective barrier against the enemy’s tactics.

Foreign investors may not have the ability to be conquered in the economic arena.  However, II Chronicles 7:14 is still applicable today.    We are fully aware of the fact, that as the end of time as we know it draws nigh; that there are certain occurrences that must transpire to fulfill what the Lord has revealed in His word.  However, we must be determined that we will not fall privy to any of the standards which are being introduced to us from the kingdom of darkness – foreign investors.

There is no earlier time than now to begin to make the proper amends to assure yourself that you will not be included in this power outage….but that your power supply will remain….and that your connection to the main power source maintains its authenticity.

“Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.”                 I John 4:1-5 ESV

But Are you Sure?

But….Are You Sure?

“For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus.”                                                                             Philippians 1:6

If someone were to ask you to name five things that you are absolutely certain about, what would be the first item that you would list?  Would you have difficulty in composing such a list?  What would be the basis from which you gather your responses?  Would you rely on the “trials and errors” of your past?  Just how or where would you even begin to construct such a list?

As we consider the status of this world’s condition … things look mighty dim… in the natural.  However, if you have read and understood your Sword, you will understand that everything which is now occurring has already been prophesied.   I’ve often heard many people – who were, “Saints of the Most High God” say that they can’t bear to watch the news or to engage in conversation about the daily tragedies and occurrences.  They walk through life feeling defeated, discouraged and afraid.   Then, these very same people will SAY that they are assured of the protective and loving hand of God. They will SAY that they know our Father is still ultimately in control!   My only response to them is…but, ARE YOU SURE?

So I ask of you…. Do you KNOW God? Or maybe it would be better to say – How well do you know God?  Are you truly assured of who He really is?  Do you have the assurance that He is really on your side?  Now be honest.  Do you have that assurance that He is really in the midst of every situation….. perfecting each and every situation for your good?

Well…it’s time for another prayer .. (I have a plenty of them…as you know by now!).  This one is entitled, “Prayer of Assurance”. If you are already confident in whom and whose you are, please feel free to share it with someone who may seem to be losing their focus during these trying times.  Let them in on the secret as to why you are not impressed nor upset with the onset of these chaotic world conditions.   Share with them that your full assurance is in the Lord….and He doesn’t have the ability to fail nor to succumb to this world’s nonsense!  Remind them that you are assured of your God’s omniscience - and therefore nothing ever has that ability to surprise Him….. Simply because of His sovereign reign which began in eternity past… and that you are assured that it shall continue through eternity future!

Prayer of Assurance

(©2003)

Lord God, I thank you for the spirit of assurance.  Your word verifies that true assurance in you is the attribute that will permit me to overcome every obstacle in these last days.

Full blessed assurance in you validates the fact that because of your sovereign love for me - nothing, nothing, No Thing - that occurs today in my life will cause a detour in your divine will for me.  My assurance, my firm conviction in you mandates that I exercise my blood bought authority this day, to walk above the circumstances of life.  I will never again release from my mouth that I am under, beneath or a victim to my present world conditions.

Your word assures me and reveals to me who you are, your very nature.  Your word reveals to me that the things seen are temporal, moveable, mutable, unable to withstand, subject to environmental conformation.  Therefore, I am assured that as I   absorb, soak up and permit only your word to infiltrate my spirit - then and then only will I have the ability to rise above and remain above my circumstances.

My assurance in you decrees that I will not leave this life prematurely.  My assurance in you decrees that I have the ability now to stand in the midst of adversity and command your presence to prevail.

I thank you for your assurance that I am a “King’s Kid”; an heir of God, and a joint heir with Christ.  I am a royal priesthood, divinely anointed and appointed for this time - groomed and adorned by God, for God.

I am assured that I can only excel.  I am assured that I AM the head and not the tail. I am assured that I AM above only and never beneath.  I am assured that I AM blessed in the city (meaning where things are readily assessable) and I AM blessed in the field (meaning where things have yet to be cultivated).  I am assured that I AM blessed to be a blessing – regardless of my appearance in this physical realm. I am assured that wealth and riches are in my house- and the devourer is rebuked.  I am assured that I AM healed and Spirit filled, therefore sickness and disease are far from me.  I am assured that I AM a work in progress – daily advancing in Kingdom power, principles and authority!  And it is because of this assurance that I know I will never, never, never be defeated.

God Has Spoken...... AMEN!

…..God has Spoken – Let the Church Say AMEN!

God is not a man that He should tell or act a lie, neither the son of man, that He should feel repentance or compunction [for what He has promised]. Has He said and shall He not do it? Or has He spoken and shall He not make it good?                                       Numbers 23:19 (AMP)

Today the Lord is simply saying that when we say “Amen”, we are voluntarily confirming that we will stand firmly on what we believe has already been proclaimed by Him.  Therefore, whenever I say “AMEN”, I am affirming that I will stand as follows.

Anchored on WHAT I know, and I will never deviate from my principles – although methodologies, and strategies may need to be amended from time to time – my principles must remain ANCHORED.

Motivated by the assurance of WHOSE  I am – and daily affirming the same. Saying –I am the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19); I am delivered from the power of darkness and translated into God’s kingdom of Light. (Colossians 1:13); I am redeemed from the curse of the law of sin and death. (1 Peter 1:18-19, Galatians 3:13), etc.

Equipped mentally to endure and to use every available weapon that is at my disposal. (II Corinthians 10:4&5)

Never succumbing, submitting, or yielding to the spirits of defeat, discouragement and the like …… which are ever present and always attacking me. (II Corinthians 4:8)

So, Yes! Because God has already spoken ….now let us; who are the Church;

Collectively say …..while Individually affirming :

I am Anchored by WHAT I Know,

I am Motivated by the assurance of WHOSE I am,

I am Equipped mentally to withstand and to recognize the diabolical attacks which are constantly hurled in my direction …. And to use my spiritual weapons.

I will NEVER yield to the enemy’s temptations ….because my mind will remain submitted to and under the protection of the Holy Spirit!

……. “God has spoken…… Let The Church Say…. AMEN!”

Remember.....It's A Process

Remember …..It’s A Process!

“Despise not the day of small beginnings……”  Zechariah 4:10

One vital piece of information that we must remember is that mighty oak trees are birthed from tiny acorns; and an apple orchard was produced from one apple seed.   In other words, remember…it’s a process!

The embryotic stages of any living creature must be carefully guarded and protected, to assure  that its ability to reproduce once it reaches the stage of maturity; has been protected; and that it will then successfully reproduce.  Each stage of development is vital.

Sometimes we tend to forget that ministry also has its stages of development.  We also forget that our spiritual walk has stages of development.  So don’t permit the spirit of abortion to have victory in your life or ministry. Remember: Every one of us is unique – therefore our journey will not be a carbon copy of anyone else’s.    We must learn the art of being confident in whom we are in the Lord; using only His plumb line as our guide.  Far too often we feel as though because our ministry or our spiritual walk is progressing slowly or not even showing any outward signs of progress – that we should just give up.  However, growth initiates from the inside out……. And… It’s a process.

When I was a school teacher, in our science class the children would plant seeds.  Sometimes they would want to throw the containers away when they didn’t see anything happening.  However, as they continued to care for the seeds, they would eventually see a tiny sprout coming out of the soil…. And the excitement would begin!  They would then be able to see the evidence of the work that was already taking place under the surface.  We as adults, many times seem to forget those simplistic lessons that we’ve learned as children.  We tend to forget that the visible manifestation of anything is secondary…. And that everything in life that is accomplished is manifested gradually …. EVERYTHING involves stages….. Life is a process.

Life is also a waiting game.  However, when we have ENDURED as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3) – we will reap the harvest.  God has promised that we will reap in DUE season - however, only if we don’t permit that spirit of abortion to be victorious (Galatians 6:9).   God CAN’T lie (Numbers 23:19).  Therefore learn to wait on the Lord (Psalm 27:14; Isaiah 40:31).

Remember… again I reiterate …. “It’s a Process”!  You must go THROUGH each stage of your process….because tomorrow’s success will stand tall on today’s perseverance!

“And let us not be weary in well doing, for in DUE SEASON we will reap, IF we faint not”. Galatians 6:9

No Stubble Here!

No Stubble Here!

“Give us this day our DAILY bread” Matthew 6:11

Today I would like reflect to an advertisement from a well-known razor company.  The ad featured a picture of a young couple embracing one another. The slogan stated that “Love is never letting stubble come between you”.

The relevancy of this concept can also be applied to our relationship with the Lord.   When we read Solomon 2:15; we are informed that it’s the “little foxes that spoil the vine”.  The little foxes can be compared to as “stubble”.  Sometimes our lives are composed of “spiritual stubble”.  We are harboring concepts and the like … although small in appearance, yet are greatly impacting our lives.

The word stubble is one of those words whose meanings can vary.  However for today we are referring to those small growths of hair that haven’t yet been shaven. Stubble is the inital process of what will appear. Stubble, although a natural occurrence, has the tendency to be extremely uncomfortable, as well as abrasive to anyone with whom it encounters.  To prevent the growth of stubble, regular maintenance is required. However, to eliminate the stubble that has already appeared; a sharpen tool, and the application of a skillful hand are required.

So in the natural…so in the realm of the spirit.  In many instances, we are more concerned about our outward, (physical) appearance than we are our inward, (spiritual). Our focus is more on the conclusive opinions of people.

The statement, “Love is never letting stubble come between you”, reminds us that nothing; regardless of how small it may appear, should ever be permitted to come between us and our love for the Lord.  Stubble can be referred to as those seemingly “little no harm” thoughts, actions and deeds that we may find ourselves involved in. Far too often, we fail to realize that it’s in the formative stages, the “stubble” stages,… prior to the total manifestation, where we must be the most aggressive. We can’t wait for ungodly thoughts to become actions…we must “nip them in the bud”.  (Remember “spiritual stubble” can also produce or result in ungodly actions such as: indecisiveness, procrastination, habitual latenesses, excessive or extreme eating habits, unbalanced lifestyles, etc.)

Again let me reiterate…. Our love for the Lord must excel to the extent that we will not permit stubble in any shape, form or fashion, to come between us and Him. How do we prevent stubble?  The regular application of our “dual edged” blade.  Hebrews 4:12 informs us: For the word of God is alive and active.  Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.” (NIV).

We can also prevent the growth of stubble by the application of a planned daily maintenance routine.  We must begin our day by spending time in the presence of the Lord.  This will not only “shave off” any stubble; but will prevent its growth as well.  Beginning your day with the Lord will prevent you from getting up on the “wrong side” of the bed!  Beginning your day with the Lord will assist you in framing your day with faith filled words and eliminating the formation of thoughts and expressions that will manifest into unwanted and undesired plans throughout your day.

So, let’s be more determined that we will not permit anything; regardless to its minute size to come between us and our love for the Lord.  Remember, it’s those little, seemingly “no harm” things….. that stubble… that hinder your walk with the Lord; robbing you of the effectiveness of God given authority, power and privileges.

Be aggressive!  Read and apply the Word of God to your life – daily!  Then you will never have to be concerned with the formation (or the retention!) of stubble.

Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.”                         Psalm 139:23, 24 (KJV)

Just Trust Him!

Just Trust Him!

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.”    Ephesians 3:20

On several occasions I’ve used as an opening statement, “Tis So Sweet To Trust In Jesus, Just to Take Him at His Word.”  (Now, a few of you may remember that to be the title of an old favorite hymn.)  Well, when I woke up one morning, someone was singing that song on my television.  Then when I tuned in to Pandora, that very song was playing again!  Coincidence???? No way! Just another divinely orchestrated plan of God.  ….Just God attempting to get my attention and to relay the message that I must continue to trust Him!

So with assurance, I know that God wants us to find comfort in trusting Him.  He wants us to find our satisfaction and pleasure in Him…. and in all that He represents.  God wants us to realize that we only have to take Him at His Word.   He longs for us to know that it IS “sweet” to just trust Him.

When some of us use the terminology “that’s sweet” we would be implicating the taste of food.  Still for another group of you, “that’s sweet” would mean that something has received your stamp of approval and that you are really in agreement with the situation.  However – it doesn’t matter which definition you can relate to – the word sweet has a positive implication.

There are times when we have difficulty in trusting fully in God because we forget that He is the Almighty; the one and only all wise omnipotent, omnipresent, omniscient God!  He has no colleagues, contemporaries, or equal.  We seem to forget that NOTHING takes him by surprise!  He already knows exactly everything that will ever transpire in our lives!  Therefore we can’t conclude or compare our decisions concerning what He will do in a given situation, with what others have or have not done to or for us. In other words, because someone has failed or disappointed you – you shouldn’t base your trust in God against such.  God will ALWAYS base His EVERY move concerning you on His undying, uncompromising, unconditional, unwavering love for you.  That’s why we can trust Him!  That’s why it’s so, so, sweet to trust in Jesus.  And because His Word CAN’T fail – because He has promised that His word won’t return to Him void – we can take Him at His Word!  Hallelujah!!!!!

So Just Trust Him –when trials come.  Just trust Him – to turn every negative situation around in your favor.  Just trust Him to supply your every need and Godly desire.  Just trust Him for the salvation of your unsaved loved ones.  Just trust Him to do exceeding and abundantly MORE than you could ever imagine.

How do you trust Him?  By finding a scripture to correspond with your situation.  Then use that scripture as your spiritual medicine.   Just as your medical doctor may prescribe a medication to be taken three or four times daily – take your spiritual medicine throughout the day.  Now… some medications have to be taken for a while – and may even have several refills.  But we will religiously take it, and get the refills – and maybe even request a new script when we have exceeded the refills!! Nevertheless, that doesn’t stop us from trusting in that medicine! Well, when we apply the same tenacity with our spiritual medicine “taking” it throughout the day, week, month and maybe for the years – we will begin to build our trust channels in the Lord and conform our minds to the mindset of trusting Him.

Deitrick Haddon sings a popular song entitled “He’s Able”; which says,

Don’t give up on God cuz He won’t give up on you…He’s Able!”

Exceedingly, abundantly, above all, all you could ask or think according to, the power,  that worketh in you.

God is able to do just what he said he would do.

He's gonna fullfill every promise to you.

Don't give up on God cause He won't give up on you.  He's Able, yeah, He's able.

So just trust God and you will discover that it truly is “sweet” to trust Him.

Tis so sweet to trust in Jesus, Just to take Him at His Word;

Just to rest upon His promise, And to know, “Thus saith the Lord!”

Jesus, Jesus, how I trust Him! How I’ve proved Him o’er and o’er;

Jesus, Jesus, precious Jesus! Oh, for grace to trust Him more! (Louisa M. R. Stead.)

“And Let Us Not Be Weary….

We Will Reap –If We Don’t Quit”

So let’s not allow ourselves to get fatigued doing good. At the right time we will harvest a good crop if we don’t give up, or quit.”         Galatians 6:9       (The Message Bible)

Be encouraged!  The journey may have been long and the nights sleepless.  However, just remember that God will always prove Himself to be faithful.  Whatever He has promised … it SHALL, and it MUST come to pass (Numbers 23:19).

Endurance is the key at this stage of the game.   Change = Endurance.  The more drastic the change, the more intense will be the level of endurance.  When we begin to think about that word endurance– we must immediately relate it to some sort of battle, struggle or adverse condition.  The Greek word for endure (hupomeno); is defined as: “to preserve: under misfortunes and trials, to hold fast to one's faith.”  Therefore, if there are no opposing forces, or conflicting circumstances then there would not be anything to press through – there would be no reason to “endure”.

When we look at a bowl of fruit, it may very well be balanced and neatly arranged.  However, at that state, the fruit which is just sitting in a bowl, is not serviceable. It is not fulfilling its purpose.  Even though it has endured and weathered various stages to arrive at its present state, it still hasn’t reaped the benefit for which it was created.   Now, if the fruit is going to be consumed, it must still undergo even more changes.  It must be transformed so that it will obtain the ability to be totally useful and beneficial.

We, like the fruit which is sitting in a bowl, must endure and not become: fatigued, worn-out, drained….weary.  Therefore, we must keep that spirit which causes us to become weary “at arm’s length” by considering the following:

  1. Establish realistic – yet challenging immediate and long terms goal.  It doesn’t matter what your age range may be; you must still live a life with expectations and goals.
  2. Focus on your whole man: spirit, soul and body.  Sometimes we become weary there is no balance in our lives.  Remember….There is no substitute for maintaining healthy eating habits, and getting the proper amount of rest and relaxation.
  3. Broaden your circle to include more diversity.  Everyone that you are connected to should not look you, nor dress like you, nor patronize the same merchants, etc.
  4. Change = Endurance…..and Endurance also = Change!  Although there are certain daily routines which we must adhere to; if we are to avoid becoming weary….. and endure; then we must incorporate some level of change on a regular basis.
  5. Keep your mind renewed and synchronized with the word of God.

It IS our due season…. However we will only reap our harvest if we continue to ENDURE every facet of change as a good soldier (2 Timothy 2:3), and be determined to EMBRACE every stage of change and…. not give up….. nor become weary.
