DECEPTION is a weapon from the enemy that causes lying, underhandedness, cheating, willful betrayal of confidence and trust. This behavior calls for vigilant, alert, and discerning of spirits working and lurking around you. Take NOTHING and NO ONE for granted. The enemy will use ANYONE that allows him to use them. Although the enemy uses all forms of deception, the highest form of deception is self-deception. Deuteronomy 11:16 warns us to "take heed to yourselves, that your heart be not deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them" (See Joshua 9:1-12; I Cor. 6:9; II Timothy 3:13). A false god (idolatry) is ANYTHING and ANYONE you put before Jehovah God.
"Howbeit when He, the Spirit of truth, is come, He will guide you into all truth: for He shall not speak of Himself; but whatsoever He shall hear, that shall He speak: and He will shew you things to come" John 16:13. "We are of God: he that knoweth God heareth us; he that is not of God heareth not us. Hereby know we the spirit of truth, and the spirit of error" I John 4:6.
