I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodes a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service Romans 12:2.
Your dedication and your sanctification means that you have been glued for eternity to the altar. You have dedicated yourself to the point where you vow that you will serve Him until you die. A saved person is one who has been set right or is in right standing before God, because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross of Calvary. There is nothing more that can be done to ensure our salvation. That is why He has sat down on the right hand of God in Heaven. IT IS DONE! IT IS FINISHED!
Being justified says you belong to the Righteous One. Being regenerated says you are a child of God. Being sanctified says you are being MADE holy. You are not born holy. You are made holy by God. You were forgiven and justified as if you never sinned. It takes the influences and power of the Holy Spirit to accomplish this task.
I have heard people say, "No one can tell me whether I am saved or not. No one can tell me how to dress or what to wear. I make my own choices." Well, maybe they don't call your shots, but your actions speak for you. The outward change called justification is followed by the inward change called regeneration; this in time is followed by the dedication in sanctification you have toward God. DON'T TRY TO SKIP ANY OF THE STEPS! FOLLOW THE LAID OUT PROCESS!
When you receive the Word, you are walking through the operation of justification, regeneration, and sanctification. Which means you must be able to receive the Word from any of God's children. We cannot select who we receive from, that action will cause us to miss our blessing. It will stunt your growth. Unless you perceive the person is of God, you cannot receive from him/her. That is why Jesus could do no mighty works in his own hometown. The trick of the enemy is to keep us divided and grouped off. God want us to be able to discern His Spirit and receive the engrafted Word to the saving of our souls. DISCERN, PERCEIVE, AND RECEIVE THE WORD OF GOD! This is the minimal or our reasonable service!
