God Turned My Midnight Into Day:
A Light Has Risen
Micah 7: 8 Don’t laugh at me, my enemies. Although I’ve fallen, I will get up. Although I sit in the dark, the Lord is my light.
Matthew 4: 12-16
He went and settled in Capernaum, which is by the sea, in the country of Zebulun and Naphtali. This was to fulfill what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah:
“The land of Zebulun and the land of Naphtali,
By the way of the sea, beyond the Jordan, Galilee [in the district] of the Gentiles—
“The people who were sitting (living) in [spiritual] darkness have seen a great Light,
And for those who were sitting (living) in the land and shadow of [spiritual and moral] death,
Upon them a Light has dawned.”
Genesis 1: 1-5
In the beginning God (Elohim) created the heavens and the earth. The earth was formless and void or a waste and emptiness, and darkness was upon the face of the deep. The Spirit of God was moving (hovering, brooding) over the face of the waters. And God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light. God saw that the light was good (pleasing, useful) and He affirmed and sustained it; and God separated the light [distinguishing it] from the darkness. And God called the light day, and the darkness He called night. And there was evening and there was morning, one day.
Psalms 36: 9
For with You is the fountain of life [the fountain of life-giving water]; In Your light we see light.
Psalms 18: 28
O Lord, you light my lamp. My God turns my darkness into light.
Psalms 27: 1
The Lord is my light and my salvation. Who is there to fear? The Lord is my life’s fortress.
Who is there to be afraid of?
