It’s Only A Test
“But He knows the way that I take [and He pays attention to it]. When He has tried me, I will come forth as [refined] gold [pure and luminous].” Job 23:10 (AMP)
Simply put, whatever you are going through, is only a test. We are all experiencing situations that are revealing the status of our current posture in the realm of the spirit.
The Bible mirrors numerous examples of people who when tested continued to stand for their conviction and commitment to the Lord. We must remember that our testings are not to reveal anything to the Lord – because He’s omniscient. Our testings are presented to us to reveal our growth or lack of it. They are for our awareness and for the enemy.
Many of our tests will prove to the enemy that we have grown in a given area. The enemy can’t read our minds, therefore his only verification of our current status is what he can observe from our actions and spoken words.
Our testings are not presented by the Lord because He doesn’t love or have concern for us. Quite the opposite! He is love. Therefore, whatever situations that He places us in – are for our betterment. I Corinthians 10:13 Reminds us that God will never permit us to be tempted in an area where we do not have the power, wisdom and stamina to excel.
Reflect on the examples of : Job’s Trials, Abraham’s Sacrifice, Peter Walking on Water and Jesus in Gethsemane. All were tested, and all stood in the face of being tested.
So, stand in the knowledge and wisdom that you have already gleaned from the Holy Spirit. Pass your test. Remember, you are in the process of becoming perfected….as pure gold!
