The spirit of shame produces a feeling that you are flawed as a person. It causes you to believe that you are inadequate, bad, and no good. These feelings will slow down, halt your God-given potential and the fulfillment of purpose for your life. It can also cause low self-esteem. Shame can stem from issues like alcoholism/drugs, abuse, abortion, bankruptcy, unemployment, divorce, body image, from family secrets like incest, and personal failures. The enemy uses this weapon to try to make you think wrongly about who you really are: a person created in the image and likeness of God. He wants you to continue feeling worthless, meaninglessness, depressed, have compulsive disorders, feeling inferior, inadequate, alienated, helpless, victimized, and isolated (See II Samuel 13:1-2, 14-20).Pray Romans 8:26-29: "Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groaning which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren." Isa. 43:18-19 says, "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert."
