The Awesome Power of the Lord -Still Prevails!
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.” Acts 16:25-26
Sometimes, we fail to realize that the Lord will still allow His presence and His power to quote “show up and show out”.
Question? When was the last time that the yoke destroying, earth shattering power of the Lord visibly manifested in your worship service? When was the last time in your worship service that because of the unity of the worshippers – the power of the Lord was given no option – but to manifest?
Well, within the past few months, the Lord has elevated His presence in our worship services. He has permitted us to operate in a form of “unity” that has not been present for quite a while. His power has been evident in totally unique and biblically aligned manifestations.
The most recent occurrence was on yesterday. As the people of God began to unite in worship and the giving of praise to the Lord, we experienced an Acts 16 manifestation! The power of the Lord upon the worshippers was so great, the atmosphere so electrified, the unity so solidified…. that one of the speakers was actually thrown to the floor!
The Bible records situations that are to be used as examples for us today. So, be reminded that the Lord is the same today as He was in times past. Just as when Paul and Silas were in worship an earthquake occurred – we, when on one accord and in worship will experience the same.
As the end of time as we now know it is fast approaching, we must continue to solidify the loins of our minds. We must maintain the ability to focus only on the Lord when we gather to worship. The Lord will always give us visible manifestations – if we truly desire Him to do so.
I would desire to encourage you to elevate your expectations from and of the Lord. He is faithful, He never changes. He desires to bless and reward His people by visible “wonders”.
Be determined that as you worship the Lord, as you live and stand on His promises from day to day – that you won’t settle for anything less ….than God’s best!
