And when the seven thunders spoke, I was about to write; but I heard a voice from heaven say, "Seal up what the seven thunders have said and do not write it down." (Rev. 10:4 NIV)God's voice is compared to thunder. God's voice on Mount Sinai was as the voice of thunder (Exo. 20:18). God spoke to Christ in the voice of thunder (John 12:29). Job said God spoke through the thunder (Job 40:9).John was told not to write what the seven thunders said. In Psalms chapter 29 the voice of the Lord is mentioned:a. The voice of the Lord thunders upon the waters (v-3).b. The voice of the Lord is full of majesty (v-4).c. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars of Lebanon (v-5).d. The voice of the Lord divides the flames (v-7).e. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness (v-8).f. The voice of the Lord makes the hinds to calve (v-9).g. The voice of the Lord is heard in His temple (v-9).Is there any clue as to what the seven thunders were uttering? Scholars note that the seven thunders are similar to a Coptic text in which seven Greek vowels often function as a mysterious divine name. Sometimes it appears in the form of Alpha and Omega in an abbreviated way of referring to all seven vowels. In the Coptic text it is referred to as the Seven Voices. -Source: World Bible Commentary, p. 560.Are they uttering a secret name? God's sacred name was YHVH and Christ's name was Yeshua (these names were known). In Rev. 19:12, Jesus has a secret name that will be revealed when he becomes King (Rev. 19:12-16). He has a name written that no man knew but he himself (we get a new name and so does he).At the seventh angel's trump the mystery of God is finished. Some believe this is where the Rapture of the church occurs at the sound of the seventh trumpet. Some suggest this because the judgment of the believer is in the next chapter. Some connect this seventh trumpet to Paul's "last trump" in I Cor. 15:51-52. There is a difference between the "last trump" (I Cor. 15:51-52) and the seventh trump (Rev. 10:7). Corinthians was written in 53-57 A.D. and Revelation 10:7 about 95 A.D. (40 years later). No one at Corinth asked Paul for an explanation because they knew what the "last trump" was. There are four trumpets blasts: the Tekia, the Shevarim, the Teruah, and the Tekiah Ha Gedolah. Exodus 19 has the imagery of the Rapture. This trumpet blew "long and loud" (Exo. 19:19-20). The "last trump" is the longest and loudest of one hundred blasts on the feast of Trumpets. We read that "time will be no longer: (Rev. 10:6), meaning no longer delayed. The earth is going to be judged for shedding innocent blood (Rev. 18:24 and 18:20). Mystery Babylon (Rev. 17-18) will be the epicenter of the final judgment of God on the earth. Revelation chapters 4-11 will be the first 42 months of the tribulation. One more event occurs!
