The Sixth Angel Sounds His Trumpet

The sixth angel sounded his trumpet, and I heard a voice coming from the horns of the golden altar that is before God. It is said to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, "Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates." And the four angels who had been kept for this very hour and day and month and year were released to kill a third of mankind. The number of the mounted troops was two hundred million. I heard their number. The horses and riders I saw in my vision looked like this: Their breastplates were fiery red, dark blue, and yellow as sulfur. The heads of the horses resembled the heads of lions, and out of their mouths came fire, smoke and sulfur. A third of mankind was killed by three plagues of fire, smoke and sulfur that came out of their mouths. The power of the horses was in their mouths and in their tails; for their tales were like snakes, having heads with which they inflict injury. The rest of mankind that were not killed by these pagues still did not repent of the work of their hands; they did not stop worshiping demons, and idols of gold, silver, bronze, stone and wood - idols that cannot see or hear or walk. Nor did they repent of their murders, their magic arts, their sexual immorality or their thefts Rev. 9:13-19 NIV.The four angels could be the four prince spirits over the past four empires of prophecy. Two prince spirits of satan's kingdom are mentioned in Daniel 10 (Greece and Persia). The antichrist will be like a leopard, with feet like a bear and a loin mouth (Rev. 13:2). They kill for 1 year, 1 month, 1 day, and 1 hour. The huge army will come from the east across the Euphrates River and are 200 million strong. They could be from India, China, or an Islamic army from Iran to south Russia. They may be headed for the oil wells in the Muslim Gulf nations (West of Euphrates).Ezekiel saw an army on horseback (Ez. 38 and 39). Joel saw an army on horses (Joel 2:4). John saw an army on horses (Rev. 9:16). The asteroids could destroy the electric power and men use horses for transportation. The Euphrates River will dry up. The river runs between Iraq and Iran and joins the Tigris River at Bozrah. The river can be dried today because of five dams in Turkey that can be shut off. The future famine will dry up the Euphrates River in the tribulation.Death of one-third of mankind will take place. One third are killed, some by the fire from the army (Rev. 9:18). Others are killed by the smoke from the army (Rev. 9:18). Others are killed by the brimstone from the army (Rev. 9:18). The men that are still living will not repent of their idolatry, murder, sorceries, fornication, or thefts. It is God that gives us the grace to repent. We need to repent while the Holy Spirt is giving us space to do so.
