So Don’t Rush me! out of His presence Don’t Push me! From His feet. We have to be like the woman the issue of blood she push through the crowd. She pushed, pressed, she was weak but the knowledge of Jesus became her strength to touch the hem of His garment and receive Wholeness. Every part of her being was whole. Wholeness is what God wants for us. No part un-touch by His power and love.
We have to be like blind bartimaeus who cried out for Jesus to have mercy on him. Son of David have mercy on me! Son of David have mercy on me! As the haters tell you to hush begin to cry out even louder to our Savior who hears your cries! Jesus will deliver you! Heal you, Set you free!
People we have to get tried of where we are and pursue Christ with passion for wholeness and communion with Him.
Don’t let your circumstances, situations, family, friends, etc rush you or push you out of the presence of the Most High God.
Bible reading:
Luke 8:41: And, behold, there came a man named Jairus, and he was a ruler of the synagogue: and he fell down at Jesus’ feet, and besought him that he would come into his house: 42: For he had one only daughter, about twelve years of age, and she lay a dying. But as he went the people thronged him. 43: And a woman having an issue of blood twelve years, which had spent all her living upon physicians, neither could be healed of any, 44: Came behind him, and touched the border of his garment: and immediately her issue of blood stanched. 45: And Jesus said, Who touched me? When all denied, Peter and they that were with him said, Master, the multitude throng thee and press thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? 46: And Jesus said, Somebody hath touched me: for I perceive that virtue is gone out of me. 47: And when the woman saw that she was not hid, she came trembling, and falling down before him, she declared unto him before all the people for what cause she had touched him and how she was healed immediately. 48: And he said unto her, Daughter, be of good comfort: thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace.
Mark 10:46
“Now they came to Jericho. As He went out of Jericho with His disciples and a great multitude, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the road begging.”
Who knows how many years was Bartimaeus blind. Most probably all his life. For all his life without any visual contact with the environment, he was sitting there, by the road, begging. For sure, he must have heard what Jesus did to other blind men and how they received their sight. Really, how much he must have longed to be one of those that would meet Him. And he was:
Mark 10:47
“And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, HE BEGAN TO CRY OUT AND SAY, “JESUS, SON OF DAVID, HAVE MERCY ON ME!””
Mark 10:48
“Then many warned him to be quiet; but he cried out ALL THE MORE, “Son of David, have mercy on me!””
Matthew 26:6-13
6While Jesus was in Bethany in the home of a man known as Simon the Leper, 7a woman came to him with an alabaster jar of very expensive perfume, which she poured on his head as he was reclining at the table.
8When the disciples saw this, they were indignant. “Why this waste?” they asked. 9“This perfume could have been sold at a high price and the money given to the poor.”
10Aware of this, Jesus said to them, “Why are you bothering this woman? She has done a beautiful thing to me. 11The poor you will always have with you, but you will not always have me. 12When she poured this perfume on my body, she did it to prepare me for burial. 13I tell you the truth, wherever this gospel is preached throughout the world, what she has done will also be told, in memory of her.”
