I am coming soon. Hold on to what you have, so that no one will take your crown (Rev. 3:11). Christ was speaking to the church at Philadelphia (Rev. 3:7-12). Christ said they have an open door and they have little strength. Christ encourages them to continue to hold fast what they have. Holding fast means to keep in check and to continue to guard something precious. We are to keep speaking and confessing the Word of God over our lives, no matter what it looks like in the natural. Christ told all seven churches, "I know your works." God knows our works and He knows our motives behind doing the work. He will judge all things in his timing. A judge need all the facts and why a person did what they did, in other words their motives. God is the only one that have all the information on us, and that is why He is the Righteous Judge over all the earth.

If God calls us to do an assignment in the kingdom and we refuse to do it, or do it grudgingly, we can lose our reward and it be given to another person. God is looking for obedient, cheerful and willing people (vessels).
We work together for a reward! What, after all, is Apollos? And what is Paul? Only servants, through whom you came to believe - as the Lord has assigned to each his task. I planted the seed, Apollos watered it, but God made it grow. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God, who makes things grow. The man who plants and the man who waters have one purpose, and each will be rewarded according to his own labor (I Corinthians 3:5-8 NIV). Stay in your own lane and let God lead you. Remain humble and let God elevate and raise you up. There is no "big I"s and little u's" in God. We are equally important and have individual assignments as well as working together in the kingdom of God. Meditate and marinate on this!
