Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.—Hebrews 12:1

The lesson that comes to us through the many dramatic illustrations of faith in Hebrews 11 brings us back to my earlier statement: Faith in God is to be demonstrated, not defined. Just as God's church demonstrates Christian love, this demonstration of godly, humble faith is God's ideal for His church.

It is not enough for preachers in their pulpits to try to define love. The love that God has promised must be demonstrated in the lives of the believers in the pews. It must be practiced as well by the man who occupies the pulpit.

We should put the matter of faith in that same category. God wants His people, including the ministers, to demonstrate all of the outworkings of faith in their daily lives and practices.

"Lord, the pattern set forth in Hebrews 11 seems so unattainable! Strengthen me by Your Spirit to be able to demonstrate this type of unshakable faith. Amen."

  • If we don't begin to operate in Faith by Faith, we can call it quits. The time is now for Faith with Faith, knowing that God has completed all that He's going to do, we have to tap into it by Faith, to bring forth the manifestation by Faith, believe it from our hearts by Faith, walk with it and allow the demonstratable actions to come forth like never before by Faith.

James 2:14 [Faith Without Works Is Dead] What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him?

James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works.

James 2;20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead?

James 2:26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
