The Sound of Keys
Isaiah 41:17-20:
"When the poor and needy seek water, and there is none, and their tongue faileth for thirst, I the LORD will hear them, I the God of Israel will not forsake them. I will open rivers in high places, and fountains in the midst of the valleys: I will make the wilderness a pool of water, and the dry land springs of water.
I will plant in the wilderness the cedar, the shittah tree, and the myrtle, and the oil tree; I will set in the desert the fir tree, and the pine, and the box tree together: That they may see, and know, and consider, and understand together, that the hand of the LORD hath done this, and the Holy One of Israel hath created it."
Just recently, I keep hearing the sound of keys on a keychain; it is the distinct sound that keys make as a doorkeeper pulls out his keys to unlock a door. Then, I had a vision of the Hand of God opening a very large door. It was a door that opened to a mighty, flowing river.
The river was a river of breakthrough, healing, and refreshing. At the same time, the main river branched into different rivers which were opened to us. I later came across the above passage of Isaiah 41:17-20, where the Lord was speaking of the waters which are released to His children.
"He has heard our cries for a breakthrough, and He is answering by releasing His Rivers of power."
Doors are Opened to the Poor and Needy
In the passage of Isaiah 41:17-20, there is a door opened for the poor and needy. The word "poor" is a Hebrew word that translates as poor, afflicted, wretched, lowly, and weak. It is derived from a word which means to be looking down, beaten down, or browbeaten. It also linked with a word that means to be oppressed, depressed, troubled, and downcast, to stoop, and be bowed down.
As you can see, being poor does not always represent a financial need. Luke 13:11 speaks of a woman who suffered from an infirmity for eighteen years and was bowed down, unable to straighten up. Jesus laid hands on her and loosed her from the infirmity. This is an example of someone who is in poor health, weak, and even beaten down with sickness and disease.
Some of us have lost hope, are troubled, and are suffering from hope deferred. Do not be discouraged! The Lord is releasing a river of hope and healing to you! Do not allow your soul to be downcast, but put your hope in God!(Psalms 42:5, 42:11, 43:5)
The word "needy" means to be a beggar, to be in want, to be subject to oppression and abuse, and needing deliverance from trouble (especially deliverance from God). Once again, being needy is not limited to a financial need, but also refers to being "in want" of something, and needing deliverance from oppression.
When Israel was in bondage to Pharaoh, they cried out to God to deliver them from the oppression of slavery. The Lord heard their cries and He delivered them. It is the same for us today! He has heard our cry out for deliverance and He is releasing waters of refreshing, healing, and deliverance.
The Squeeze through the Narrow Place
The word "oppressed" is derived from a root word which means "press, to squeeze." The enemy is applying great pressure to cause us to go backward. He does not desire that we "press in" for our deliverance and breakthrough. There is also a strong attack from the enemy that would attempt to cause us to quit the race, throw in the towel, and not fulfill destiny.
Another reason for the "squeeze" we are experiencing is because we are going through a narrow place. God is taking us to the thresholds of breakthrough, but in the narrow places, the enemy is trying to squeeze the life out of us!
It is similar to a baby in the birth canal. At the time of birthing, the baby is isolated and in darkness, and just at the time of breakthrough and delivery, the child experiences a narrow place. It is terrifying, lonely, and unfamiliar. Yet, in order to come forth into its place of enlargement, it has to go through the squeeze.
It is the same with each of us as we break out of patterns of containment and old cycles. The Lord is allowing us to feel the "press" to come out of the old and break forth into the new!
Precious ones, please hear me, you will make it through this "squeeze!" You will come through this tight place! You are going through the threshold into a greater place of enlargement. And, God is going to pour out a river of a breakthrough on your behalf!
The Door Opened in the High Places
The Lord is opening a door in the high places as we are being called to "go up higher!" God is calling us to experience His glory, and to receive new levels of revelation, and to experience the fullness of the Seven Spirits of God.
Revelation 4:1-2, 5:
"After this, I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in Heaven: and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, 'Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.'
And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in Heaven, and one sat on the throne.
And out of the throne proceeded flashes of lightning and thunderings and voices: and there were seven lamps of fire burning before the throne, which are the seven Spirits of God."
The River in High Places
As we seek these high places in Him, He promises to open up rivers in those high places. A river in this passage refers to a flooding river. It will be a river that has great movement. The Lord will release a sound from Heaven, and it will cause the rivers to overflow upon us and break us through the obstacles which block breakthrough.
The river also represents light and brightness. I believe it is a river that will release God's glory and a supernatural grace to represent His Light upon the earth. In order to experience this new level of glory, we must become positioned properly, in the "high plateaus," sitting at His feet, and meditating on His Words that flow from the throne.
The Fountains in the Valleys
He is also ministering right now to those who feel they are in a valley experience. Many times, a valley refers to the Valley of Decision (Joel 3:14). Many of us are being required to make firm decisions to follow God no matter what the cost. We can often become very dry and weary during this process, but God promises to release a fountain of strength and refreshing as we press through this narrow place.
The word "valley" often refers to a "deep" place. A fountain is an important release to us, and not by any means insignificant while being compared to the river. In fact, when God calls us to the "deep," He has much He desires to say to us! What a privilege to be called to witness His deliverance from all oppression and feeling downcast as the "deep calleth unto deep!" (Psalm 42:6-8)
Pools of Water in the Wilderness
For those of us cycling out of the desert place, He is providing a refreshing pool. It is in the desert that we have opportunities to experience much of God's healing and deliverance. We can drink from His well, and be refreshed and empowered to cycle out of the wilderness and move on into our Promised Land.
"These are seasons when God is building great, great faith and moving you from one level of glory to another!"
The Mighty Overflow of His River
I would also challenge you to look at this passage in Isaiah41:17-20 differently at times. What I see is God pouring out such a mighty flood that it OVERFLOWS from the high place, down into the valleys and then waters the desert. In this fashion, when God sends His mighty flood waters, it touches all of us, no matter what phase we are in!
Plus, for those who have felt as if the dry seasons have made their tongues ineffective, be assured that this mighty overflow from His River will release His power from "on High."
You are about to witness the promise that the words you speak will no longer fall to the ground and die, but rather become alive, active, and full of power!
The floodgates have opened. Doors to your breakthrough are opening! Be encouraged, these are awesome times in God!

Rivers in High Places
The Sound of Keys is a sign of release. God is about do greatness into my life though my obedience. Doors are being open 2018, this is our year for great thing to come.
I got so excited when I read this because I wanted to compare it to the Scripture in Ezekiel 47:12. Here it is speaking about the Lord's return to earth to establish His kingdom, ruling and reigning 0 for 1,000 years. During this, a river of grace and blessing will flow from the very throne of God throughout the land promised of the Lord to His people. There is so much to type but I am going to just pick something to refer to with this weeks reading. Talks about the waters coming from under the threshold of the house of God and this refers to the holy place within the Temple and the place where the ark is.
It goes on to talk about the purity when the water comes down from the right side of the house at the south of the altar. That was the source for this life-giving flow. Christ alone is the source of our salvation and the hope that is given through the Spirit.
The growth of the river and this represent our spiritual walk with Christ and the different stages we encounter on this journey.
Water to the ankles this is a picture of our first encounter with the Lord at salvation, the moment
when we first step into the life-giving flow of His saving grace.
Water to the knees this is a picture of a believer's first steps into deeper waters with the Lord. We cautiously step out into deeper water, but we have not yet gone beyond our comfort zone.
Water to the Lions for those who h ae waded out unto the Lions have developed a strong relationship with the Lord. Their lives are beginning to be controlled by the power and direction of the Lord. When a man stands in water up to his lions, half of his body is hidden in the water. Those looking on see more of the water around him than they do the man himself. His life is beginning to reflect the Lord.
Waters to swim in here Ezekiel experiences waters that are over his head. He has reached a place in the river that is impossible to stand in. ONE CANNOT WALK THROUGH THESE WATERS!! This is where we all ought to desire to be with the Lord.
Surrender at this point, one has completely surrendered to the power and direction of the river
Dependence at this point a person is totally depending on the waters to carry them where they need to go.
Sanctification a person is completely saturated by the water. It has covered their entire being and this is a beautiful picture of one been filled by the Spirit of God. Every part of their being is saturated with the Spirit.
The Gain of the river this is the picture of the benefits of the Holy Spirit flowing through us and in the world around us.
Healing the river that flowed to the sea would bring healing to the waters of the sea.
Restoration this speaks of every living thing which moveth withersoever the rivers shall come shall live, and there shall be a very great multitude of fish because these waters shall come, they shall be healed
Conversion the rivers will restore the bounty of the waters. Fisherman shall once again find their nets full as they cast them.
Conviction the miry places shall not be healed these are a picture of the places where sin abounds.
Abundance upon the river upon the bank on both sides shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed.
This scripture allows us to experience the abundance of God, this particular scripture allows us to see the grace that God is giving us by the description given to us by Ezekiel. The river that is filled with healing, restoration, deliverance, breakthrough, grace, and mercy. It was so much to say but I just wanted to share what I have studied and read. I love water because of the power it holds, the cleaning power it has and the calmness it can have.
