Use Your Kingdom Authority!

Behold, I have given you authority, …….over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you. Luke 10:19

The only way to avert the successful attacks of the enemy in our lives is to become informed of the tactics that he is using.   Most of the time we will tend to respond to a specific attack by using physical weapons; rather than to initiate a diabolical encounter against the kingdom of darkness.  As I have often said, we are reactive instead of proactive.   . 

The time is now when we must “step up our game” in the area of spiritual warfare.  We must not remain ignorant concerning the devices of our enemy.  The Bible informs us of various animals which represent the evil forces that have been dispensed or released and operate to destroy us. 

If we are to remain prosperous, we must protect our seed.   God has given to us seeds which are intended to be sown and then to produce a harvest.  However, seeds attact birds.  So in the natural… so in the realm of the spirit.   Spirit birds are attracted to spiritual seeds. 

I had posted the list below which was extracted from “Prayers that Rout Demons” by John Eckhardt ; quite a while ago (January of 2009).  The list includes prayers and names some Spirit Birds.  Not all birds are attracted to the same Spiritual seed.  However, their purpose is to prevent our seeds from producing its intended harvest.

(Although the Lord has promised us that He would rebuke the devourer on our behalf – we must remember that He uses us to accomplish His work here on the earth.  Therefore, we must be properly equipped, ready to be used of Him.)

As you read through the list, ask the Holy Spirit to highlight those which directly concern you.

Dealing With Spirit Birds

I bind and rebuke any unclean and hateful bird sent against my life by the enemy in the name of Jesus (Rev.18:2)
I exercise my dominion over the unclean fowl of the air in the name of Jesus (Ps 8:8)
Let every spirit bird sent against me be taken in the snare (Eccles 9:12)
I bind and rebuke every spiritual vulture in the name of Jesus (Isa. 34:15)
I bind the operation of the screech owl (night monster) from operating against me in the name of Jesus (Isa. 34:11)
I bind and rebuke the cormorant (the vomiting pelican) from operating against me in the name of Jesus (Isa 34:11)
I bind and rebuke the bittern from operating against my life in the name of Jesus (Isa. 34:11)
I bind and rebuke any raven sent against my life in the name of Jesus (Isa. 34:11)
I bind and rebuke any demonic eagle and hawk sent against my life, and I command their nests to be destroyed in the name of Jesus (Job 39: 26-30)
I pray these unclean birds would be caged in the name of Jesus ( Jer. 5:27)
I bind and rebuke any unclean bird that would attempt to nest in my life in the name of Jesus.
Let every wandering bird be cast out if its nest in the name of Jesus (Isa. 16:2)
Let YOUR presence Lord, drive every unclean bird away from my life (Jer. 4:25-26)
Let every fowl of heaven operating against my life be consumed in the name of Jesus (Zeph. 1:3)
Let these birds flee and fly away at Your rebuke (Jer. 9:10)
Let me walk in the path of wisdom that no fowl knows (Job 28:7, 21)
I will not be afraid of the terror by night, and I rebuke every night bird that would attempt to visit me at night (Ps. 91:5)

Is Fear Hindering Your Progress?

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.  II Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Why did you still have an array of unaccomplished projects waiting to be completed?  Why are you still not boldly advocating or displaying the spiritual gifts which you possess?  Have you permitted the reminders of your past failures to paralyze you – and prevent you from “getting up” and trying again?  If you can affirmatively agree with these questions, the spirit of fear could very well be your deterrent.

It’s time for us to aggressive attack this spirit and forbid its return.  If we don’t uproot this spirit of fear – it will continue to hinder our progress - permitting us to continuously, vigorously run a spiritual treadmill …. Building strong muscles….but going nowhere!

I’m once again printing the prayer concerning fear.  Read it daily for a few days to gain the maximum results.

 ather God in the name of Jesus, I denounce the spirit of fear in my life.  As of this day, I forbid the spirit of fear to dominate, reign or sit passively in any area of my life.

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, - but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door. I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again. 

I will now begin the process to renew my mind – daily.  I will develop a new appetite which desires your decreed will for my life – freed from every diabolical hindrance.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

New Place – New Position

“For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.”

Isaiah 43:19 (New Living Version)

The Lord has said: “My people are all in a new place and have a new position.  (You should have realized this – if you didn’t already know this; go into a period of consecration as to awaken your discernment.)

Think it not strange that you “feel” different and that the things around you appear to different. The winds have shifted and you are in a new place.  You are now in an enhanced dimension.  You are about to embark upon a new venture.  For some your physical location may be the familiar; however your mission has now been altered, elevated, enlarged and broaden.  Advance, proceed and press forward quickly and cautiously.  It is important that in this dimension you don’t become stagnate, idle or inactive.  Don’t look back. 

Stay freed from every entanglement that once held you captive …. the positive situations as well as the negative.  The enemy knows the important role that you are now in the position to assume.  He is going to attempt to keep you preoccupied with “being busy”…. doing and engaging in assignments that are positive but not God ordained for this season.

Embrace the change by altering whatever you can in the physical realm; this will assist your mind in forming new thought patterns.  If possible change something in your décor; the places where you shop or dine.  Be creative. It may even be as simple as changing something in your normal daily agenda….. But change something!  The shift has already occurred in the realm of the spirit; therefore it won’t be difficult to transform your physical realm.   We have the mind of Christ; therefore, change is only difficult because we have been programmed to believe so. Remember Philippians 4:13!

Don’t expect the assurance or the acceptance of others.  As long as you have my validation, said the Lord….that’s all that matters. Your mandate has already received my stamp of approval.  Continue to guard your heart.  Stand boldly and stand strong in your authority.  It is imperative that your mind stays free.  Walk in peace, walk in power, walk in my promises … and you will continue to walk in my provision as never before.”

And it is so!

The Voice of Silence

One of the most rewarding and intimately fulfilling experiences that one can embrace is their relationship with the Lord.  Furthermore, as this bond begins to become more “seasoned”, our fellowship with the Lord transcends the “outer court” experience – and will embrace the natural and mature fellowship - which is characteristic to that of a “holy of holies” occurrence.   Within this dimension, one will learn to truly appreciate their relationship with the Lord.  They will enjoy the conversations with Him which are not relative to this realm, but are held “spirit to spirit”.  In other words, these conversations occur on such an accelerated level, that information is transferred more quickly than our brain can receive, process and transmit the words to our mouth! Consequently, you learn that it’s useless to even attempt to speak to Him with your natural mouth.  So you just settle down and allow the “mouth of your spirit” to communicate with the Lord. 

One morning, while having one of these conversations, the Lord asked me, “What do you hear?” I responded, “I don’t hear anything”.  Again he said, “What do you hear?”   I replied, “Nothing”.   Then, a third time he asked, “What do you hear?”  Well…. by this time, I’m thinking about Peter!   I’m thinking… Okay, .I’m really missing something here!  So I waited for a while, then I replied, “I hear silence.”  The Lord replied, “YES!...so you do hear something!  You hear silence.” Then he said, “Now, listen pass the silence.  What do you hear?”  As I listened more intensively, I answered, “I hear conversations”. (Even though the language wasn’t a spoken language that I was familiar with – it seemed as though I could understand exactly what was being transmitted). ….  Yes, he responded, “Always remember that in times of “silence” the enemy is diabolically planning, strategizing, and regrouping.  Therefore, use those times that appear to be silent wisely”. 

“Listen”, He said, “For the voice…the Voice in the Silence.  The voice that will signify the shift in the wind.  Listen for voice of distractions.  Acknowledge them...but learn not to entertain them.”  He further said, “As you listen to the voice in the silence of the wind, you will be able to distinguish the sounds of the wind.  Listen for the wind within the wind.”

To Listen in the realm of the Spirit……… Is To…..

L = Look and Learn; Look beyond his realm into the multifaceted dimension where God’s sovereign authority is evident. Then LEARN how to walk in the liberty of the Lord. (2 Corinthians 4:18)

I = Ignite Your Expectation (Proverbs 10:28)

S = Settle Your Spirit (Romans 12:1 & 2)

T = Temper Your Mind (Philippians 2:5)

E = Exercise Your Kingdom Authority (Matthew 28:18)

N = Nurture Your Information Received (Matthew 7:6)

As endtime Leaders (and Saints), we must know how to listen...not just for the voice of the Lord, but with a discerning ear for the “Voice of Silence”.   God has equipped us and established us as His ambassadors to properly discern the times.  Just as he led His people through the wilderness with a cloud and a pillar….He’s still leading us through our endtime wilderness (natural & physical).  However, we must know how to LISTEN. As we adhere to the proper listening techniques, we will know how and when it is the appropriate time to move His people (and ourselves) to their next place (and our next place) in Him.

Reach Beyond the Break….And Keep It Moving!!!

 We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed ; we are perplexed , but not in despair ; 9 Persecuted , but not forsaken ; cast down , but not destroyed ;  Always bearing about in the body the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life also of Jesus might be made manifest in our body.                      II Corinthians 4: 8-10

As it is, there's not much chance of that. You know for yourselves that we're not much to look at. We've been surrounded and battered by troubles, but we're not demoralized; we're not sure what to do, but we know that God knows what to do; we've been spiritually terrorized, but God hasn't left our side; we've been thrown down, but we haven't broken. What they did to Jesus, they do to us - trial and torture, mockery and murder; what Jesus did among them, he does in us - he lives!

Life has a way of introducing “interruptions” which usually are unexpected and have a tendency to throw us off course for a second.  The Lord wants to remind us that whatever causes a break in our daily flow should only present a momentary pause.  We must reach beyond that break …and keep it moving!  Delays are many times unavoidable.  However, a delay must only present a “comma” in our lives – and not a “period”.  Reach beyond every break and keep it moving.

Below I’ve added another prayer.  Be blessed and always remember never stop, never quit,  never give up or give in – reach beyond that break…..and KEEP IT MOVING!!!

Power To Press Beyond

Father in Jesus’ name, I thank you for the innate force within me that prompts me to seek a deeper revelation of you.

For my only desire in pressing beyond this realm is to obtain a greater insight of you and your solemnness; thus enabling me to not walk on the surface, but to have available to me those hidden, partially revealed spiritual treasures that are vital at this time.  These “jewels” are required for me to excel and will afford me the opportunity to properly lead others.

Lord God, I thank you that I have learned to persevere and to press beyond the obstacles, the road blocks and the detour signs - the hidden snares designed to delay your divine will for my life.  Thank you for the courage to press; - that courage which is required to recognize and discern; to subdue and call to nought every demonic and satanic force sent to oppose me on every level.  I now know how to press through and not request that you to remove from me difficult situations.  For I recognize that all of these have been foreordained for my advancement.

Since you have told me that the best is in the press, I will press into you at any cost.   I will press beyond the feelings of defeat, frustration, adversity and opposition. I will press beyond the spirits of despair, dejection and rejection.  I have learned that I must press beyond any of the feelings in my flesh, and rely only what my spirit discerns for you. Then and then only will I maintain this realization that in my press, YOU will never deny me.  So forgetting those things which are behind, I press.

Growing and still maturing in the process, I press.

Reestablishing My Optic Restraints

“The eyes of your understanding being enlightened;……” Ephesians 1:18

One of the most undetectable hindering forces in our Christian walk is the lack of our ability to “see” our world through God’s optic lens.   Not that God has actual eyes – but rather meaning; to view; to understand; to perceive and to understand from the character of who He is.

Today, we are going to ask the Lord to remove every optic restraint that is preventing us from exceling….. every optic restraint that is hindering our ability to be that powerfully effective threat to the kingdom of darkness that we should be. Whatever spirit is diminishing our zeal; our tenacity and our ability to perceive our future status from a “kingdom platform”; must be revealed, removed, and commanded never to return.  This command must be fortified by sealing the entrance that permitted access and an entry to our optic realm.

So, Lord my prayer is also that my discernment be sharpened to a position of dominance over my reasoning.  May I be more conscience concerning what I permit my physical eyes to view on a regular basis.  Lord, bring me to a constant awareness that I MUST curtail; the television programs, the movies, the videos, any printed material, and everything that enters my eye gate.  Assist me in the realization that if my optic restraints are to be reestablished – that I must also limit what I feed my spirit man. I must fully comprehend that many things are not sinful – but they will not permit me to have the ability to “view” from a place of kingdom authority and power.  In other words; there are things which in themselves are not sinful; yet these things will cause a delay in the renewal process of my mind and limit the view of my spiritual horizon.  

May I see clearly without the input from anything that is contrary to the hope of your glory.  May I always be cognizant of the fact that, that which is seen through my physical is temporal – however that which is perceived in the realm of the Spirit is eternal!  And now Lord – with every ungodly restraint or perception removed and replaced according to Kingdom guidelines…. May the eyes of my heart be flooded with the illumination of your radiant light.

“¹⁷For I always pray to the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, that He may grant you a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of Him, ¹⁸By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope to which He has called you, and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints (His set-apart ones), ¹⁹ And [so that you can know and understand] what is the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,”   Ephesians 1:17-19 AMP

Refreshing Rain…Restoring Rain

“You, O God, did send a plentiful rain; You did restore and confirm Your heritage when it languished and was weary”.                    Psalm 68:9 AMP

Note: Today’s meditation is prophetic in nature and therefore might not be totally comprehended by everyone.  Nevertheless, please feel free to contact me for clarification. 

A drenching rain is coming!  However, some people won’t be able to reap the advantages of this rain … because it a spiritual rain.  This rain will pour down upon the earth – to saturate those saints who are waiting in great expectation of it.  The Lord is sending this rain: to cleanse, to heal, to restore and to maintain. 

The rain will be felt as you prophetically dance in the presence of the Lord to the beat that is within your spirit.  Worship in this rain.  Listen in this rain.  Obey in this rain. Receive your next instructions and strategic plans in this rain!

Everyone won’t even know that it’s raining.  Others will know that something is occurring – but won’t understand exactly what.  Still others will know “ABOUT” the rain – but haven’t developed the type of relationship with the Lord that will afford them the opportunity to reap any of the benefits from it.

The effects which are being released from this rain are eternal.  They won’t wear off – but will wear in.  This rain will cleanse.  This rain will awaken.  This rain will unlock.  This rain will release.  This rain will saturate with a healing which will bring total peace (NOTHING lacking, NOTHING broken, NOTHING missing!).

This rain will also confirm.  This rain will also seal. This rain will also bind.  This rain will also initiate a coagulation process for spiritual wounds that have bleeding for years.

Revelation, manifestation, transformation and reformation…. All benefits from soaking in this rain.  No umbrellas for this rain…. Only acquiring an enriched, a totally refreshing and an awesomely rewarding experience.  

So get free….. and Dance, Dance, Dance IN THIS RAIN!  HALLELUJAH!!!

It’s The Process

 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.  Jeremiah 29:11

Today we in America are living in an era where spending long hours preparing and cooking food is almost to be compared with typewriters and dinosaurs!  We’ve adhered to and adjusted to the notion of reducing some of the steps; cutting a few corners; while yet expecting the end product to still remain the same. Most of us have not learned the art of “waiting”, nor how the persevere and gracefully endure each phase of a process.

Most people really enjoy fresh baked rolls.  However have you ever considered that there are various processes involved?  If you are going to bake rolls – the dough must be made, permitted to rise; punched down; reshaped; and then permitted to rise all over again.  Then, after more preparation… they will be placed into a hot oven where the process continues.  If just one process is eliminated; if just one ingredient is measured incorrectly; if just one condition adjusted – the end product will not produce the expected and anticipated results.  The entire process must be permitted to “run its course” – if you desire to have rolls which have the correct texture and taste.

When we read the story of Joseph’s life; (Genesis 37:3-41:4); we can realize that life is a process.  Joseph didn’t advance to be the King without enduring every stage of his process.  Far too often we are attempting to reign as a King, without the experiences of a pit.  Joseph had to endure the consequences and glean wisdom learned in the pit, at the house of Potiphar, and in the prison; prior to his ability to reign in the palace.

Every occurrence in your life is vital!  Every circumstance is a building block that has been permitted, as a foundational pillar, from which your future will be erected.  If just one incident in your life had been altered – you would not have gleaned the experience, nor the wisdom that you now have.  Every part of your process is of grave importance.

Always remember the concept of making rolls.  When making rolls, the dough will rise only to be punched back down again… and sometimes again. Then reshaped and set aside to rise again.

So don’t become discouraged when you have exceled….. only to find yourself knocked down and back at square one all over again…. But rather rejoice.   There are lessons to be learned on every level that will equip you for your future stability.   God has made plans for your life.  He is simply taking you through the process that will bring you to His expected end for you.  Wherever you are right now – your present conditions are only temporary.

Remember…. It’s life.   It’s vital.  It’s God ordained….. and……   It’s the process. 

Dead or Dormant?

Read Ephesians 6:10-18

As we progress and grow towards becoming that “profitable” servant; we should discover that many of our ungodly habits and desires appear to no longer be present…which is a great accomplishment.  However, as my Grandmother would say, “Every shut eye ain’t sleep”.

The Lord wants to deliver us from everything that would hinder our walk with Him.  Yet in many instances, we have mistaking thought that we have been delivered from a particular spirit when we really haven’t. Sometimes we’ve eliminated the fruit – but not the root.  For example, we may have seemingly had an issue with: uncontrolled anger, envy, or extreme competition. However, we may not realize that these are only the fruit which have been produced.  The seed or master spirit here may be jealousy.  So I may have dealt with the fruit – yet the root is still lying dormant within me – waiting….sometimes for years to manifest itself again in a different type of fruit.  (I’m really trying to keep this as elementary as possible… I know that some of you have no clue as to what in the world I’m referring to!  However, just hang in there…put this one on the shelf and come back to it later! LOL!)   

So we must ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to us any of the areas in our lives where we think that we have received a “healing”, or deliverance.  (Now…if you are one of those “perfect” people who really can’t see any areas in our life – let me help you a little. Your number one culprit is pride!)  We must make certain that whatever appears to no longer be prevalent in our lives, is truly dead….and not just still sitting around….dormant.

Therefore, because we are living in these endtimes, we can’t make assumptions.  We must make certain that total deliverance has occurred in various areas of our lives – and that we are truly dead in those areas.  We can’t afford to have an issue surface – that we thought was gone!

Lastly, the Lord is telling me to remind/inform you that deliverance will not be obtained through professional counseling.  Spirits can’t be counseled! Attempting to counsel a spirit is synonymous to applying a band-aid to a broken leg and wondering why it won’t heal; or why it healed improperly!   However, once a spirit is dead (and not dormant)….then we can seek the proper counseling; if it is still necessary. (Luke 11:24-26)

So just be certain that issues that you once encountered; without regards to how major or minor they may seem to be;… have truly been bound and cast out….. and that they are not merely lying dormant….. awaiting an opportunity to surface ….at just the WRONG time!

It’s Imminent ….Are You Ready?

But the end of all things is near. Therefore be of sound mind, self-controlled, and sober in prayer.                                                                                                                  I Peter 4:7

I read an article a while ago in which the author was sounding an alarming alert.  He was warning us of an attack of Cicadas which is expected to make their appearance before the end of that month.  The problem that these insects are posing is the fact that billions of them had been “festering” underground for about 17 years and would now make their appearance.

As I continued to read the article – I began to correlate this attack in the natural as a revelation to what is also occurring in the realm of the spirit.  We can’t ever forget that the enemy hasn’t played his “trump card” yet.  He also has “weapons of mass destruction” that have been previously hidden – but which will soon emerge.

Although his attack is imminent – you don’t have to be victimized by it.  Are you ready for these attacks?  Have you renewed your mind and thought patterns to those of a kingdom warrior?  Have your disciplined yourself physically and emotionally to the extent that you have the ability to maintain your focus in the midst of extreme adverse situations and conditions?   Will your stamina, allegiance and commitment to the Lord remain that unshaken foundation - regardless?

In the same fashion that we had been warned about the onset and destructive ability of these cicadas – the Lord has given to us a warning through His prophets about our future.  Have you correlated the recent attacks which have been directed towards various modes of transportation, to the release and strategy of the enemy?  Or have you not even noticed all of the recent “accidents” which have involved: the cruise liners (attacks in the water); the enormous amount of plane crashes and disappearances (attacks in the air); and now the devastating train wreck, tractor trailers and school bus accidents (attacks on the land)? …(and the school buses represented a dual attack; an attempt to destroy our seed and impose a fear concerning our children!)   If we take heed to these warnings – we will have the advantage and the ability to be prepared for every attack.  Now is the time to make the proper preparations.  If your mind is properly prepared – you will go through the fire and emerge not even having a hair on your head singed; nor having the smell of smoke.  

Be determined that you will begin today to aggressively seek the Lord for the wisdom to implement a strategic plan of endurance.  Gird up the loins of your mind NOW! Daily proclaim: “I have the mind of Christ”.  Be determined to not be distracted by what you see or hear.   Too many Saints are saying that they don’t listen to the news because it’s depressing.   Well….Get a grip and grow up!  It’s time to become more mature, face the enemy and not be swayed by what he is attempting to do.  We have no need to fear – only to be prepared.  We must also remember that the ultimate battle has already been won –  we simply have to know how to walk in that victorious state.

Yes,… another, more sever attack is imminent…. ARE YOU READY?

“So brace up your minds; be sober (circumspect, morally alert); set your hope wholly and unchangeably on the grace (divine favor) that is coming to you when Jesus Christ (the Messiah) is revealed.”   I Peter 1:13 AMP

I Can’t Fail

“And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”                          I John 5:14 & 15

Walk today as if you have already received everything that the Lord has promised! Wisdom, wealth and riches are in your hand.  God has already placed within your hand the valuable keys which will give you access to every resource needed. However, you must use every available avenue (connections, business partnerships, education, talents, gifts, etc… – use them all!) to receive the manifestation of the promises. 

God has already heard your request; He’s positioned, established you, and strategically aligned every detail concerning the manifestation of your request and petitions.  

Reread the recorded accounts of Joseph’s life (Genesis 37-45) and compare them to your life.  He went from the pasture to the pit, to the prison and then to the palace. It was a process! Also, ask God to reveal to you your three key people….Your butler (the person who will open the doors for you); your Pharaoh (the person who will give you access to unlimited resources); and your baker (the person who will assist you in pulling everything together).

Just like Joseph, I can’t fail!  Why can I not fail? Simply because there is no failure in God.  As long as I maintain my focus God will cause ALL things to work together for my good (Romans 8:28).  Even when the circumstances produce unfavorable and unexpected results; I must remember that I STILL HAVEN’T FAILED!!!  I am determined that even in the times and experiences that others may view as failures; I will learn how to perfect or correct.  Therefore, I have still gained something during the entire experience!  I am emerging wiser, more conscientious or more patient.  Therefore, I haven’t failed! I can’t fail.  Failure is not a part of my DNA; and I refuse to permit anyone or anything to impose that mindset into my spirit!  Whether in my pasture, my pit, or my prison…. I KNOW that I’m being prepared to reign in my palace!  In other words, I have still been increase through every situation….that’s why I can’t fail!

Trust God! He can’t fail you – REGARDLESS!! Whatever you would do …. if you were assured that you would succeed …DO IT!  God IS able to do through you exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever ask or think.

The ball is in your court… the bat is in your hand.  You have thought that you were waiting for God …..But in all actuality - He is waiting for You!  Get up! Move out! …. And refuse to be defeated….REGARDLESS!!!!

Don’t Just Read… Absorb & Apply

“And don’t for a minute let this Book of The Revelation be out of mind. Ponder and meditate on it day and night, making sure you practice everything written in it. Then you’ll get where you’re going; then you’ll succeed.”  Joshua 1:8 (The Message Bible)

While studying the Word of God is vital for today's leader, meditation is essential.  Meditation is compared to a form of rumination.  There must be a "chewing" and a digestion of the word of God if we are to avail ourselves to the embedded power, wisdom and vision that the Lord desires for us.

To obtain a deeper insight into meditation, consider the digestive system of a cow. This same process is applicable to meditation.  The quality of your Christian life and the level of your spiritual maturity will largely be determined by what you think about.   We in America have a saying, "You are what you eat."  Absorption and transformation can begin only after we have masticated the word of God.  This process is initiated through meditation.

Please note, I don't have ANY reference here to transcendental meditation which involves totally clearing your mind, chanting and incantation.  Our reference is solely to spiritual meditation.  Not just any spiritual meditation, but only that of which we seek to gain ALL of our power, strength and insight from God the Father….That which has been demonstrated by Jesus, His Son… and imparted to us through the Holy Spirit …. Period!

We place far too little value on the material that we permit our minds to meditate upon.  We fail to realize that if we think on the things that we have been instructed to think upon (Philippians 4:8); then we will have available to us the discipline to make a positive impact wherever we go.  We are a called to be living testimonies. People may hear what we say; but they see what we do. Therefore if our actions are not God motivated – it’s because our minds are not meditating upon the correct information.

Leaders, the revelations that we had obtained "yesterday" are not going to equip us to effectively minister and endure the end time attacks of our adversary today. We must daily meditate on the word of God.  Not for the sake of vain glory, arrogance, nor self-promotion; but for growth, wisdom and endurance.

Meditation is a vital…usually overlooked weapon, that will equip us with the end time strategies and tactics that we MUST have in our arsenal as we continue to stand undefeated against our adversary and every diabolical attack!

God’s Jealousy (pt. 2)

Today O God, may I not provoke your anger.

Although we may not view it from this perspective; the truth is still very evident.   Sometimes we are – knowingly or through ignorance; forcing God to reveal another character quality which is motivated by His love for us. That expression is His jealousy.

We must always remain cognizant that every attribute of God that He reveals to us; is still His attempt to get us to understand His love for us.  It is because of that love, that He only desires for us to acquire the best in every arena.  Many times, because we don’t fully understand this total concept of God’s love for us; we think that He has established unrealistic demands or limitations upon us.  God’s guidelines for our lives are always motivated from a perspective of genuine love, true love – the which… most of us have no true concept.  If we could ever totally understand His love – then we would have no problem adhering to His word – Regardless. 

As I so often have stated; when in our lives, we have not received the proper application of unselfish love; then, we in return are more prone to lack the ability to properly love God.  In life, this is the reason why we can willingly and willfully disobey Him and reject His love – through our displays of disobedience.   Whenever we decide to walk according to our own desires or to delight ourselves in what the world has to offer; we are rejecting the love of God. In reality I am saying – “God I Still Don’t Understand Your Love For Me!”  The same holds true when we are engaged in procrastination, slothfulness and tardiness.  Far too often the Lord has instructed us to do or say something in a given situation; or to be at a given pace at a specific time; or better yet.. to BEGIN a function at a given time.  However, we have fallen short.  Regardless to the reasoning that we may have given; regardless to the excuses or the “validations” that we may have presented ….we have not valued the love of God to the extent, that we will place it as our first priority.  The spirit of pride is still masking its self in our lives. For example, when we are late, or when we procrastinate; we have decided that our “way of doing it” is better.  By do so…we are placing other things ahead of God …. and provoking Him to display His jealousy.  Why? Because we have become like the world; and placed our thoughts, plans etc. superior to those of the Holy Spirit.  Our actions may not reveal our true intent…. however they do reveal our final decisions!

The Message Bible states James 4:4-5 this way. “You’re cheating on God. If all you want is your own way, flirting with the world every chance you get, you end up enemies of God and his way. And do you suppose God doesn’t care? The proverb has it that “he’s a fiercely jealous lover.” And what he gives in love is far better than anything else you’ll find. It’s common knowledge that “God goes against the willful proud; God gives grace to the willing humble.”

So Holy Spirit; I ask you to assist me as I re-establish and continue to keep God as the focal point of my life.  In my list of priorities, it is my desire to esteem God.  I will have, and uphold an amended consciousness of Your love for me. Because I now understand Your unselfish, “no holds barred” love for me, I will immediately begin to return the same.  May I always remember that everything I do must be for no other reason - than to express to You and show others my love for You. Anything that has moved You from Your place of supremacy in my life;  whether it be prestigious positions, business or personal relationships, money, assets – WHATEVER … it will now be moved a position of subordination.  I will no longer “cheat on you” Lord.  I will  never again place my thoughts, motives or my actions in a position which will provoke you to display jealousy.  I will not lean to my own understanding; but will truly acknowledge you in ALL of my dealings.  You are number one in my life …. And my motives and my actions will now begin to reflect the same. 

Perennial or Annual?

You have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that you should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain….. John 15:16

One of the advantages of living in this region is that we have the opportunity to experience the distinct changes in the weather temperatures.  Accompanying those “seasons” are also a variety of flowers.  Some of which are classified as perennials, while others as annuals.  Both are capable of producing an array of blooming plants.  Although many will continue to bloom throughout the summer – with the arrival of the colder temperatures the distinction will be revealed.  

Perennials are those faithful plants that are able to endure the winter temperatures and remain unaffected by the cold. It doesn’t matter how bitterly cold the temperatures, nor how much snow falls during the winter season; those perennials will return year, after year, after year.  Even some of the early spring perennials will begin to bloom in the snow – because they have been made to endure.

Now on the other hand we have those annuals.  These are the flowering plants that we must purchase yearly.  Although many can endure the heat of the summer – when the temperatures begin to dip  – so will they.  These tend to be those “fussy” plants.  Some of them like and thrive in the sunny sections of the garden; while others enjoy the shadier sections.   Some enjoy daily waterings; while others will survive the heat of the summer days.  Nevertheless, they are beautiful – but only for one season.  It doesn’t matter what type of soil you plant them in, nor the mixture of food you give to them – when the temperatures begin to change – so will they.

Now… at this point you should already be able to anticipate my next question!  What type of Saint do you believe yourself to be?  What type would others consider you to be?    Perennial or Annual?  What facts or truths can be presented as evidence to support or confirm your status?  What would be the basis for your responses? 

God have equipped us ALL to be “Perennial Saints”.  (II Timothy 2:3).  We must learn how to “take a lick and keep on tickin”.  We must never permit the “winter season” in their lives to have the ability to prevent us from being the: faithful, dependable, loyal, committed, dedicated and  true person that God has already fortified us to be.

While I’m not a farmer, I do know that fruit trees are perennials!  Therefore, if I am going to produce fruit in the realm of the spirit – I must be able to endure – as a good soldier.  The Bible declares that we will be known by the fruit that we produce (Matthew 7:16).  However, you can’t plant an apple tree today and receive apples tomorrow. (Normally!!)  Likewise in the realm of the spirit. If we are going to produce fruit for the kingdom, then we must learn to be perennials – and endure until we have produced the fruit that God has programmed us to manifest.

We can also learn another lesson from plants.  I have these tulips (perennials) in my yard that faithfully return yearly.  However, because I don’t go through the trouble of digging them up every year; (which would give them a chance to rest) – and replanting them  … each year when they return… they will bloom.   Yet the blooms are decreased in size yearly.  The change was gradual and barely noticeable for the first year or two.  Nevertheless, when I look at my lawn now over a period of many, many years, the tulips are much smaller than the newer purchased ones.  So what does this mean?  We must take the time to get our proper rest.  Far gone should be the times when we are permitting ourselves to work, and work and work – year in and year out and think that we will still be able to maintain and produce a maximum output.

I could continue with the comparison of Perennials and Annuals, however I’m sure that you’ve received the concept by now.

So, make the proper adjustments immediately; first to be a “Perennial Saint”.  Next, to establish a healthy regimen in the natural that will permit you with the ability to get the proper rest and vacation time….  That will avail you with the opportunity to be a fruit bearing tree.  Lastly, pray that your fruit also will be perpetual in nature.

…...Nothing Shall Offend Them

“Great peace have they which love thy law; and nothing shall offend them.” Psalm 119:165

Your ability to become offended reveals the level of maturity from which you operate.  The word offend in this verse refers to “stumbling block”.  Therefore when I permit anything to cause me to stumble or to divert my focus from the Lord; I have not learned to avail myself of His ever abiding peace. 

The peace of God represents the wholeness of God; His completeness – nothing missing.  When I realize that God has the ability to control every situation; I will then receive the confidence in my spirit to rest in Him. 

I’m reminded of a toddler when learning to walk.  They must learn to be confident, as well as how to balance themselves.  When we haven’t learned to walk confidently according to God’s word; we permit the cares of this world, people and even our own undisciplined motives – to become a stumbling block and we lose our balance.  When we haven’t obtained the power to have the proper balance in our lives; we stumble and sometimes fall.

I must also realize that the spirit of fear is the anchored root system and underlying, hidden culprit that is still present when I am yielding to the influences of offence.  When ungodly fear is eradicated from my life, I will recognize that offence will no longer be an issue.

Offences will come (Luke 17:1) – but I don’t have to permit them to divert my attention.  If I prepare myself daily with an awareness that I am more than a conqueror (Romans 8:37); I will know how to receive the peace of God; which has the power and the authority to permit me to remain stable and to triumph in every situation (Philippians 4:7).  Peace is not the absence of chaos.  Peace is the mindset that affords me the ability to remain unshaken – regardless. 

To rest in the peace of God reveals that I have permitted the power of God to be my support system… and that I am trusting in His promises to be my daily provision.

Therefore, to prevent the offences that so readily appear in life from becoming a stumbling block in my life; the spirit of fear must be dealt with.  I must appropriate the mindset that God’s unconditional love will yet prevail in every situation.  I can’t become distracted nor lose my balance; and above all I must trust the fact that God will vindicate every contrary wind that blows my way….and somehow….. always cause His favor to reign in my life! (Romans 8:28)

Power Outage

Read.. I John 4:1-5

A while ago there was an article in “Bloomberg Businessweek” which attempted to explain the shifting balance in the world’s economy.  The writer exampled the purchases of a few US major brands like Heinz (worth about $23 billion) and Burger King ($3.3 billion) by foreign investors.  The writer also shared an insight to the enhanced concepts that have now invaded our economic and political arena – from which no one is currently exempted. In other words the power that once stabilized the US and her “commodities” is no longer valid.  She has lost her leverage and is experiencing a major power outage.

As I read the article, I began to equate it to a dilemma that we are apparently experiencing in the body of Christ.  It appears that we also have been invaded by foreign investors!  It appears that the Church has now given birth to a generation; who, like the new breed of Israelites (read Exodus chapter 1) - knows not the God of their former and founding Fathers.

The Church has permitted the removal of the old land mark – for which we were cautioned not to do (Proverbs 23:10).  We have permitted the elimination of foundational principles in our Churches by those who KNEW NOT OUR GOD…….foreign investors! We have looked in the opposite direction with the introduction of a total “lack of respect” for the ordinances and sacraments in our Churches – and adopted “less intimidating” laws….. foreign investors!   In other words, I would dare to say that the average Christian has taken this dispensation of “grace” as a “get out of jail free card”.  In many instances;  they have no longer acquired the proper convictions to correctly amend their spirits to conform to such mandates as: celibacy, tithing or fasting.  We have now sought to just be “comfortable” and to engage in whatever we “feel” is correct……foreign investor! And the list could continue forever!

So…. what has this given rise to? Sadly to say…the pitiful, disgraceful, inadequate spiritual state that we find existing in far too many of our Churches.  We’ve permitted these foreign investors to cause a “disturbance” and a depletion in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore we have a vast power outage!

The Church’s power outage, is to the extent that many Christians no longer experience the current which empowers them with the drive to: visit and care for the sick, make prison visits, regularly attend prayer meetings and Bible studies… and what is an All Night Prayer Service????   We will comfortably sit and leave those “task” to those who are “called” to those ministries!   We, the body of Christ, have experienced a major power outage in the realm of the spirit; therefore the enemy can just come boldly into our Churches without any or by receiving very little opposition. We need locks on the Church doors and security guards in our services because we don’t have the power to build and establish an effective barrier against the enemy’s tactics……power outage!

Foreign investors may not have the ability to be conquered in the economic arena.  However, II Chronicles 7:14 is still applicable today.  We are fully aware of the fact, that as the end of time as we know it draws nigh; that there are certain occurrences which must transpire to fulfill what the Lord has promised.  However, we must be determined that we will not fall privy to any of the standards which are being introduced to us from the kingdom of darkness – foreign investors.

 I challenge you to examine yourself.  Make sure that you are an intricate part of the solution – and not the problem.  There is no earlier time than now to begin to make the proper amends to assure yourself that you will not be included in this power outage….but that your power supply will remain….and that your connection to the main power source maintains its authenticity.

 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.”                 I John 4:1-5 ESV

As we have daily encountered some of the adverse circumstances of life; we’ve realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but strength of the Lord.

The word in the above texts for strength translates as “rock”. Therefore, Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time as Psalm 73:6 references; when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you will always be still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge that you are my power source.  May I never attempt to exhort my own ideologies, methodologies, concepts or percepts – outside of the perimeter of who you are – but acknowledge your strength in all of my ways.  Daily may I remain cognizant that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock; that pillar and that eternal fortress forever in my life. 

So Lord, when everything: every foundation, every prop, every support system that has been erected in my life - is shaken….may I never, never, never forget that YOU are my strength …..my rock. 

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.   You oh Lord are my Jehovah Tsuri…..You are my Jehovah Uzzi……You are MY ROCK!!!

God Has Called You To Greater

“Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us,” Ephesians 3:20

Take a look at where you are now – physically…. God has called you to a greater place.  Now consider your vocation or your daily routine…. God has called you to a greater place.  Think about your spiritual walk…. God has definitely called you to a greater place!  Whatever you have already achieved; whatever you have already accomplished; whatever ground you have already acquired – it just doesn’t matter – God has called you to a greater place!

Therefore, you must now embrace an expectation from the Lord, that will give Him no other alternative than to catapult you to your next place in Him.  The initial step is to acknowledge that you are called to greater! Then, seek to advance yourselves in the spiritual arena.  As you embark upon enhancing your walk in the realm of the Spirit…the manifestation of your “greater” will become a reality in every other area of your life.  For far too long we have settled and become “comfortable” in our current state…. Which is always of a lesser degree than that which the Lord has already decreed for our lives! 

We must realize that we are all unique – alike …. But yet different.  God hasn’t made any two people from the exact same mold.  It has been discovered that even identical twins have at least one distinguishing characteristic.  Therefore we must engulf the notion that we are called to operate in our giftings as originals, and not carbon copies of anyone else.  I cannot excel to my greater place; spiritually, economically, socially, financially or emotionally until I establish the “God appointed”; unique goals for MY life.

Begin today with the determination that your mind will achieve a “greater place” status.  Increase your mental capacity by learning at least one new fact daily.  It isn’t necessary that it be spiritual in nature (however that would probably be of the most benefit in the long run!).   Advancing to my greater status begins with a thought… which when activated… will become a reality.

One of the surest and quickest avenues to obtaining my “greater” status is to assist and to push someone else on their road to their destiny.  Seeds sow will still manifest the same.  Whatever I sow – that will I also reap (Galatians 6:7).  This is a natural as well as a spiritual law!  Luke 6:38 is still relevant! Give and “IT” (what ever the IT was) shall be given to you.  Don’t judge – just give! (Matthew 7:1).  Don’t be stingy in your giving – because your return will reflect the same (II Corinthians 9:6).

Unless I can realize that I still have a “greater” within me; I will not advance to that place ….. and sadly to say…. When next year arrives…  I will be in this same place that I am now!

I would like to challenge you to begin this process NOW.  Set daily small, achievable goals for yourself. Be determined that you will no longer just play the cards that have been dealt to you. Demand a whole new deck!  Where ever you go – expect to the situations and circumstances to be changed….. simply because you have arrived on the scene …and have brought with you the divine presence of the Holy Ghost!  Learn to be like David and encourage yourself!  Now.. don’t get heady; but walk in a “boldness” and a level of confidence that demands that the greater status which is within you … be hidden no more!

Dreams are excellent and are necessary – however, the time has now arrived for our dreams to become the manifested reality of the “greater” that we all have within us!  

“Now to Him Who, by (in consequence of) the [action of His] power that is at work within us, is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly, far over and above all that we [dare] ask or think [infinitely beyond our highest prayers, desires, thoughts, hopes, or dreams].”

Are You a Spiritual Schizophrenic?

^“Think of yourselves the way Christ Jesus thought of himself. He had equal status with God but didn’t think so much of himself that he had to cling to the advantages of that status no matter what. Not at all. When the time came, he set aside the privileges of deity and took on the status of a slave, became human! Having become human, he stayed human. It was an incredibly humbling process. He didn’t claim special privileges. Instead, he lived a selfless, obedient life and then died a selfless, obedient death—and the worst kind of death at that—a crucifixion.”

Are you a Spiritual Schizophrenic?  If someone were to ask you that question, what would be your immediate response?  More than likely, everyone would emphatically reply NO!  But if we were to take an inventory of our lives- today - would our “walk” be in alignment with our “talk”?

Basically “schizo”; without getting into too much detail; is a mental disorder that makes it extremely difficult and sometimes impossible for a person to tell the difference between what is real and not real.  This disorder hinders one’s ability to think clearly; to have normal emotional responses; and act normally in social situations.

So, think about your daily walk.  Then consider the following;

1. In the realm of the Spirit…what influence do I impose to diabolical plots and plans?
2. Can I readily make the distinction between the real and the “temporal”?
3. Do I display on a regular basis wherever I go the character qualities of who I really am? ……Or am I still double minded; perpetrating a fraud and operating as an undercover Saint?

Schizophrenia is also categorized as a chronic, severe, and disabling brain disorder that has affected people throughout history.  It’s a mental condition.  What is the real condition of my mind?   Has my mind been renewed to the extent that it has the ability not to fall prey to the down falls that have plagued my genetic bloodline?   Or am I just “pretending” when I am in the presence of others, that all is well?  Does my mind have the stability to resist and conquer the constant pressures which are hurled and directed towards me from the kingdom of darkness?  We are truly in a new season – one that has not been experienced in times past.  Therefore, if we are going to make an impact and persevere in these last days, we will need the endtime wisdom, to strategically comprehend our mission of walking by faith and not by sight – a principle that first requires a “disengaging” of our current mind set. 

We must encounter and embrace a spiritual “disabling brain disorder” that will permit us to be governed by the Holy Spirit; rather that by the ordinances of this world’s systems, its boundaries and its limitations  - (our former mindset which have been programmed into our minds for years).

To be classified as a schizophrenic in the natural would afford me the opportunity to be viewed from an extremely negative perspective.   To be classified as and operate as a schizophrenic in the realm of the Spirit, could lead to results which will be detrimental to body of Christ! Now as ever before, my walk and my talk – decrees and my confessions must advance to a place of total reality and manifestation.  I must totally believe that my words – every spoken word… has the power to impact the atmosphere.. and bring about a change!     

So, prayerfully consider James chapter 1.  Seek the face of the Lord for the ability to effectively and thoroughly apply wisdom to every situation that you encounter.  As endtime Saints we are now in need of that type of wisdom which will enable us to be healed and made whole from any type of “spiritual schizophrenia” that might be still lingering within us…….  Still undetected and  still hidden by spiritual imposters!

“So get rid of all that is wrong in your life, both inside and outside, and humbly be glad for the wonderful message we have received, for it is able to save our souls as it takes hold of our hearts.” James 1:21  (The Living Bible)
