"Honor the Lord with your wealth, with the first fruits of all your increase" (Proverbs 3:9).

"When you come into the land which I gave you, and reap its harvest, then you shall bring a sheaf of the first fruits of your harvest to the priest" (Leviticus 23:9-10)

God claims the first fruits of anything! It rightfully belongs to Him in His divine order. When we apply the Principle of First Fruits – First Things First – in our lives, we begin to see that all firsts should be given to the Lord: the first part of the day, the first day of the week (Sabbath), the first month of the year, and the first of our harvest – be it the wages for the first hour, the first day, the first week, or the month.

You can put God first in every area of your life by:

  • PRAYING. Give God your first thoughts in the morning. Talk with Him before you do anything else EVERY day. Pray without ceasing for your family, for financial recovery and blessings, for healing... for your needs. God will honor your faithfulness.
  • PLANNING. Where do you want to be 365 days from today? Getting from here to there requires a prayerful plan. Seek God's clear directive for your life, then write it down. Keep it in the front of you on a daily basis. Let it get into your spirit. See it! Believe it! Live it!
  • MAKING AN OFFERING. When you give your first fruits offering, you are planting a seed for the remainder of the year. Everything you have is a gift from God... you have an option to keep it or to sow it for an even greater harvest. There is a greater portion that awaits you in honor of your first fruits offering!

  • Most if not all, when we came to Christ, when we accepted Jesus as our Lord and Savior, we had no clue of what we were doing. There was no teaching for the new believers, all we knew we step up in front of the church and cried and said a couple of words, in which we really had no clue of what we were saying. And we were saved. With that being said, we wasn’t taught about “First Fruit”. We wasn’t taught; He knew that we needed guidance, So, here’s Grace of God; but God’s Grace, coming to tell us to “Study” 2 Timothy 2:15 (AMP)

Study and do your best to present yourself to God approved, a workman [tested by trial] who has no reason to be ashamed, accurately handling and skillfully teaching the word of truth.

Deut 30:15, [ Choose between Life and Death] Today I offer you life and prosperity or death and destruction.

John 5:21, In the same way that the Father brings back the dead and gives them life, the Son gives life to anyone he chooses. Including many other scriptures, you begin to understand there is more to all this than what is being taught. But GOD. We begin to hear from God and begin to flow in obedience. Where we begin to wake up and speak to Him, we begin to bring our “first fruit” of our tithes and truly begin to understand that; to honor the Lord is so important, and we begin to walk in it. Praise God for this teaching.

  • AMEN yes indeed it is for all the promised of God are yes and AMEN

  • Our Father should be First in everything we do, we should Praise and magnify his holy name, giving him the honor and glory he deserve. He gives us everything we have and we should give back with our time, tithes and offerings

Praise God, give God first in every area of ones life...

  • Honor the Lord with the first Fruits

Amen I receive this saying. We must honor God with the first fruits of everything.

  • The Word first means one body and one spirit, unity or uniqueness.  As we can refer to Ephesians 4:4-6. It says Essential to Christian faith and unity is the confession that there is only one Lord. Meaning that Jesus Christ work of redemption is perfect and sufficient, and no other redeemer or mediator is needed to give the believer complete salvation. We must understand that there is only whom our first fruit should be given to and we have to learn that what we sow is what we harvest. God plants in us that we may sow in Him to reap a harvest but with disobedience, malice, strife in our hearts we are unable to truly give our first fruit unto God.

  • Command your mornings/day, honor Him with prayer and thanksgiving, give back to Him ALL of what He has given you. Amen

  • Amen yess giving God his portion first is very important i learn this with my way of tithing amen
