Our body is intended to be the temple of the Holy Spirit. One of the great truths which
comes to us when we yield ourselves to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and surrender to
His will is the truth that our body is intended to be the temple of God's Holy Spirit. This is
clearly expressed as follows:
'Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in
you?
If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him. For the temple of God is holy,
which temple you are.' (1 Corinthians 3:16, 17)
And again:
'Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom
you have from God, and you are not your own?
For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit,
which are God's.' (1 Corinthians 6: 19, 20)
In these days of so-called liberal thinking and liberation theology, as well as the
changing sexual standards, we find that there is a great breakdown of moral standards.
The Word of God says.
`Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the
members of Christ and make them members of a prostitute? Certainly not!
Or do you not know that he who is joined to a prostitute is one body with her? For "The
two," he says, "shall become one flesh."
But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.
Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside
the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his
own body.' (1 Corinthians 6:1 5-1 8)
Plan of satan
satan's plan is to defile the temple of God's Holy Spirit. One of the most effective ways
to do so is through sexual immorality. When sexual intercourse takes place outside of
marriage, strong spirits or demons of lust and perverted sex can pass from one body to
another during the act of sexual intercourse. People then often find that they have
desires which they cannot control and need to go from one person to another seeking
sexual satisfaction.
There are, of course, other ways in which the temple of the Holy Spirit can be defiled,
for example, through the smoking habit and addiction to alcohol. In these and other
ways satan attacks our body, usually by placing the desire in our mind, and if we permit
it to increase then we are faced with a situation that can go out of control.
God's Plan
When we come to a knowledge of the Lord Jesus Christ, our minds should be renewed
and we should receive the mind of Christ. In this way, our thought life and actions
should be governed by the Holy Spirit. However, in my own experience, I find that many people, for reasons which will be discussed in this book, find great difficulty in
controlling thought patterns and habits which, to say the least, are totally destructive
and for this reason they need deliverance. This can apply equally to the Christian as
well as to the non-Christian. God desires to dwell in us and to walk with us.
`And what agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the
living God. As God has said:
"I will dwell in them
And walk among them.
I will be their God,
And they shall be my people." ' (2 Corinthians 6:16)
God, therefore, requires us to walk in a holy way before Him.
'Because it is written, "Be holy, for I am holy." ' (1 Peter 1:16)
Many Christians struggle to walk in true holiness but find great difficulty in doing so,
often for reasons which they cannot understand. The purpose of this book will be to
throw light on some of the reasons why these difficulties do exist.

There is nothing more to say; but this is the truth and until we realize this we will always go through unnecessary trials and tribulations. We truly don’t understand the meaning of Salvation, it’s not taught in the sense as God intended, it doesn’t teach how God wants it. Because in Salvation there is a surrendering unto God.

Amen I had my share of difficulties amen facts
What we put in our temple is what comes out of it, if we place unclean things such as pornography material, unhealthy eating habits, words we speak, things we listen to if they are not of God then we are contaminating our bodies. Jesus told us it is not what we eat with unclean hands but what comes out of the body defiles it. So when we digest ungodly things then the very evil will be our result. So we have to be mindful of what we watch, where we go, who we associate with, what we eat and what we listen to for it opens up spiritual realms that attack us. I tell the young people all the time that rap you listen to that degrades women and you wonder why you are doing that is because you have subjected yourself to this type of spirit. You have opened up a door a portal for that cursing spirit, that lying spirit and that come with it. We must guard our ear gates, our eye gates, our mouth gate and our heart gates.
AMEN Pastor Syanika AMEN.
Prophetess Evangelist Monique said:
AMEN yes I agree with Pastor Syanika and Prophetess Irene we all need to know this and to father read on our bodies is a living Temple of GOD.
Amen, yes, this is true and everyone needs to know this. You always take something from the person you were intimate with outside of marriage, what an eye-opening reading on today to enlighten us, to challenge us to tell others this and to stop the plans of the no name before they even get off the ground.
Temple of the Holy Spirit
Amen
