Uriel (אוּרִיאֵל "El/God is my light", Auriel/Oriel (God is my light) Standard Hebrew Uriʾel, Tiberian Hebrew ʾÛrîʾēl) is one of the archangels of post-Exilic Rabbinic tradition, and also of certain Christian traditions.
Uriel is often identified as a cherub and angel of repentance. He "stands at the Gate of Eden with a fiery sword",(Gen 3:24)or as the angel who "watches over thunder and terror"
Uriel is regarded as the spirit (, one of the cherubs) of the third chapter of Genesis. He is also identified as one of the angels who helped bury Adam and Abel in Paradise.
Uriel is depicted as the destroyer of the hosts of Exodus. He checked the doors of Egypt for lamb's blood during the plague(Exo 12:21-24) He also holds the key to the Pit during the End Times and led Abraham to the West.
Uriel's highest position is that of an Angel of Presence, Prince of Presence, Angel of the Face, Angel of Sanctification, Angel of Glory. A Prince of the Presence is an angel who is allowed to enter the presence of God.
A scriptural reference to an angel of presence is found in( Isaiah 63:9):
In all their affliction he was afflicted, and the angel of his presence saved them: in his love and in his pity he redeemed them; and he bare them, and carried them all the days of old.
Uriel is considered one of the wisest Archangels because of his intellectual information, practical solutions and creative insight, but he is very subtle. You may not even realize God has answered your prayer until you've suddenly come up with a brilliant new idea, because he have send Uriel on your behalf.
Uriel warned Noah of the impending flood(Gen 7) helped the prophet Ezra to interpret mystical predictions about the coming Messiah and delivered the Cabal to humankind(Read all the books of Ezra).
He also brought the knowledge and wisdom and the ability to manifest from thin air, as well as illuminates situations and gives prophetic information and warnings. All this considered, Uriel's area of expertise is divine mysteries, problem solving, spiritual understanding, studies, weather, earth changes and writing. In the eighth century, the Christian Church became alarmed at the rampant and excessive zeal with which many of the faithful were revering Angels. For some unknown reason, in 145 A.D. under Pope Zachary, a Roman council ordered seven Angels removed from the ranks of the Church’s recognized Angels, one of them being Uriel. That is why the church do not talk about angels anymore only every now and again.

I thank God for His Ministering Angels, Archangels and also the fact He send to Us, we have our own personal angels. Most don't know that there is angels less alone that we have our own. He definitely assisted me, even when I didn't know who was. I appreciate this reading; I remember some of this in our other class, learning about our Angels, but this is deeper, and I am embracing it all. This reading is a keeper, so much to study and read and implement into my life. I pray that we take all of our reading and ask God to help us to remember and to stand on His Word, applying it to our everyday life.

Blessings and GM Pastor Robert. Yes, they are many Angels, who assisted and helped men and women in the Bible. Angels even came and helped, assisted, and ministered to Jesus. God had me learn about Angels back in 2005 when I had seen a Watcher Angel in my basement. After, that divine experience, I had to learn about them. We have a whole library study on them. Uriel the Archangel of Fire is one of those story that I never study on. I didn't realized that it was this Angel that protected by He "stands at the Gate of Eden with a fiery sword",(Gen 3:24)or as the angel who "watches over thunder and terror". Wow! Its amazing how you can read something so many times and still miss so much.
