Adjust Your R.A.D.A.R.  to the correct frequency!

"...be renewed in the spirit of your mind." Ephesians 4:23

Just as we adjusted our clocks a few weeks ago, we must learn to adjust the settings on our spiritual radars so that they will operate on the frequency that will immediately detect adverse activity.

Our radars are the multi-faceted instruments that the Lord has given to us that equip us with the ability to successfully maneuver in the realm of the spirit.  We, as spiritual beings have been given the privilege to ascend beyond this realm.  We have the authority to operate in both the physical and the spiritual realms – if we have the knowledge how to simply “Adjust our R.A.D.A.R.”

Let’s apply this acronym for radar as we adjust.

R- Rest. Many of us don’t really know how to rest in the Lord.  We “THINK” that we are resting in the Him. Yet, in several instances – if we are truthful, if we slow down and consider “ALL” of our actions, we will discover that for the most part, we are not resting fully in the Lord.  As we begin to rest in the Lord, even our physical bodies will begin to heal, replenish, renew and rejuvenate themselves.  When we truly rest in the Lord, THEN our minds will reflect His peace.. that will conquer all.  (Psalm 62:1-2)  And as our minds are at peace we will have the ability to manifest that peace into the atmosphere!

A- Anoint. As we are aware, to anoint is to pour oil upon; to smear or rub, etc.  Therefore, as we daily physically anoint ourselves with oil; we should release our decrees, declarations, plans and purposes into the realm of the spirit.               (Psalm 23:5b; Job 22:28)

D - Dominate your Domain! The time for being passive in the realm of the Spirit has ended!!! To successfully adjust our frequency, requires that we are willing take a militant stand for the Lord – REGARDLESS! Our biblical examples like Daniel, Esther, Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, etc. did not display passive behavior patterns ….but have shown us how to “Dominate our Domain!

A - Advance.  Be determine that you will not become complacent within your current state.  Anything that is alive grows.  However, the nutritional composure of our diets (spiritual and natural) will determine our level of advancement.  There is no better way to advance in the kingdom of God than to study….not just read…but to STUDY the Word of God! (2 Peter 3:18a; Proverbs 18:15)

R- Reflect. Don’t assume that you are making a “dent” in the realm of the Spirit.  Are you really a threat to the kingdom of darkness?  Does the enemy really become upset when you arise daily?  One definition for the word reflect is to think deeply and carefully about.  Another says to mirror.  Let’s take some time to seriously consider the spiritual frequency for which our radars are operating…..and make the proper adjustments! (2 Corinthians 13:5)

In conclusion, to properly adjust our radars to the effective frequency we must; Rest in the Lord, Anoint every part of our being, Dominate our domain, Advance and not become stagnant, and lastly Reflect on past operations in the realm of the Spirit!

It’s a new day, a new season and a new frequency….are you prepared?

When I Pray I Am Confident

That God Has Already Heard Me!

“¹⁴ And this is the confidence (the assurance, the privilege of boldness) which we have in Him: [we are sure] that if we ask anything (make any request) according to His will (in agreement with His own plan), He listens to and hears us. ¹⁵ And if (since) we [positively] know that He listens to us in whatever we ask, we also know [with settled and absolute knowledge] that we have [granted us as our present possessions] the requests made of Him.”                         I John 5:14 & 15 Amplified Version

Two of the most prevalent strategies that our adversary has used for years among the members of the body of Christ, is number one - to get us to doubt God and number 2 - to get use to waste time.  He (the enemy) knows that for the most part; as leaders; we are too wise to go back out into the world.  He also knows that we love the Lord too much to steal His tithe and/or offerings.  The enemy also knows that most Christians are not very knowledgeable concerning the Word of God!  We can quote it; but don’t truly understand it enough to apply it to our daily lives.

Hosea 4:6 tells us that we are destroyed for the lack of knowledge.  Therefore, although we love the Lord, we are not advancing and maintaining our stamina in the realm of the spirit.  This is simply because we are not in possession of the proper concepts and precepts concerning the application of the Word of God.  One of the areas of our lives where this is prevailing is in our prayer life.

According to our text, whenever I pray, God hears what I’m saying.  Therefore to me this denotes that because God is neither deaf, nor void of understanding concerning my intentions; I don’t need to pray the same request over and over and over and over again.  When we pray, the enemy has us so consumed with fear, doubt, unbelief or just plain ignorance – that we feel as though when we don’t SEE the immediate manifestation of our request… we begin to panic.  Listen, and listen to me well…. God is saying….I heard you the first time!  (And please don’t refer to Matthew 7:7 or Luke 11:9). We must remember that God’s timing is usually not in accordance with ours.  If I stop praying for something when I can see the manifestation of what I’ve prayed for….. is that walking by faith or by sight? 

So, after I’ve prayed, I need to now walk in faith – denouncing the spirit of fear, tearing down every road block and hindrance that would prevent the manifestation (in this realm) of my petition.  I also need to become mature enough…. To the extent…. that I can maintain my focus regardless - and pray God’s promises – and not my problems!  I need to not negate the manifestation of my request, by releasing from my mouth words that are contrary to my spoken request of the Lord.

God HAS Already Heard Me! Therefore, I will stand and realize that, if there has been a delay in the physical manifestation to the response of my request; that there’s a principle that the Lord is attempting to bring to my awareness.  So again I ask: “If I stop praying when I physically see the manifestation  - am I really walking by sight and not by faith????”.  

I’ve heard many say P.U.S.H. meaning Praying, Until, Something, Happens.  However, as for me; whenever I pray… something has already happened! I’d rather say that P.U.S.H. means to Persevering, Under, Satanic, Harassment!

Because God HAS already heard me; I won’t waste precious time walking in unbelief and presenting the same request to Him again as though He is ignorant, deaf or void of understanding!  I’ll walk in faith and begin to praise Him in advance, before I even SEE…in this realm, the manifestation of my request….because I know, that I know, that I know….. IT’S ON THE WAY!!!  Therefore…I can shout NOW!!!!! HALLELUJAH!!!

(Remember …..Our prayers must be in accord with God’s written Word if we desire for Him to positively answer them!)

I’ve Got It……And I’m Going To Keep It!

Read - Deuteronomy 28:1-14

As the Lord begins to restore you to your wealthy place it is imperative that you have already made the proper preparations to maintain the same.  Planning, discipline and an open ear are a few of the essential tools that must be implemented.

(As a reminder, wealth is not limited to monetary increase or the gain of possessions in the physical realm.  We’ll discuss the subject of wealth at a late time.)

Begin now to write, amend or develop; (depending upon your individual level of spiritual maturity) an enhanced, strategic maintenance plan.  This plan must incorporate the well-defined vision that the Lord has given to you concerning your destiny.   Your plans must satisfy the required steps which are needed for you to obtain your God given goals.  Statistics have verified that most of the people who are sudden advanced to a higher plateau don’t maintain that status mainly because they didn’t have a written plan that they could use as their guide.  (Refer to Habakkuk 2:2a)

Although some people have very well organized plans – they lack the discipline and the tenacity to adhere to their plans.  In order to change my disciplinary actions, I must change my approach – my mind must be renewed. (Refer to Romans 12:2)  Discipline requires renewal.  Many of us lack the discipline to stick to those tasks that go “against the grain”.  However, we must also realize that some of us would have advanced a little sooner, had we applied just a little more discipline throughout our lives, in the areas that were more significant. 

Lastly we must fine tune our ability to hear the voice of the Lord. (Refer to John 10:27) Our ear must be open only to His guidance and direction.  Break that mold that causes you to think that our God is limited in His access to you.  When you know His voice, you will be able to recognize it without regarding the source from which it is being projected.   When you know His voice, and hear His voice, you must have a submissive spirit that will cause you to advance in “instant obedience” to His call.  When you know God’s voice, you must not waste time…Attempting to question His judgment.  An open ear to His voice will enable you to make the proper investments – those which WILL bring a profitable gain.

Yes… God has promised to return the years that: the locust, the canker worm, the caterpillar and the palmerworm have stolen (Refer to Joel 2:25).   This has already begun for many of us! However, as the return is restored to you – how are you going to keep it from being devoured?  One way is by remembering that it has now become your responsibility to be a good steward.  This entails the application of God given strategies.  The application of the same will usher in the assurance of keeping all that has been restored to you.  You will maintain your position as the head and not the tail - above ALWAYS and never, ever beneath…. again!

(Note: By “keeping” we are not implying hoarding, becoming selfish or fear based saving. We must remain focused and use wisdom in the areas of our: time, gifts and talents.  Our ability to remain disciplined will prevent the opening of a door that would permit enemy access!)

Prepared for WAR!

“Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way, prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Father in Jesus’ name, I thank you for the innate force within me that prompts me to seek a deeper revelation of you.

For my only desire in pressing beyond this realm is to obtain a greater insight of you and your solemnness; thus, enabling me to not walk on the surface, but to have available to me those hidden, partially revealed spiritual treasures that are vital at this time.  These “jewels” are required for me to excel and will afford me the opportunity to properly lead others.

Lord God, I thank you that I have learned to persevere and to press beyond the obstacles, the road blocks and the detour signs - the hidden snares designed to delay your divine will for my life.  Thank you for the courage to press; - that courage which is required to recognize and discern; to subdue and call to naught every demonic and satanic force sent to oppose me on every level.  I now know how to press through and not request that you remove from me difficult situations….. For I recognize that all of these have been foreordained for my advancement.

Since you have told me that the best is in the press, I will press into you at any cost.   I will press beyond the feelings of defeat, frustration, adversity and opposition. I will press beyond the spirits of despair, dejection and rejection.  I have learned that I must press beyond any of the feelings in my flesh, and rely only what my spirit discerns for you. Then and then only will I maintain this realization that in my press, YOU will never deny me. 

So forgetting those things which are behind, I press.

Growing and still maturing in the process, I press.

Completely Synchronized

“For still the vision awaits its appointed time; it hastens to the end—it will not lie. If it seems slow, wait for it; it will surely come; it will not delay.”  Habakkuk 2:3

Here in America, many of us are attempting to adjust to the fact that we are no longer using Daylight Saving Time.  So, even though we gained an hour, our psychological clocks are still in very much disarray!

As many of you know, I usually correlate everything to the realm of the Spirit.  So, simply because we are quickly approaching the end of time as we now know it; it is imperative that our spiritual “clocks” are in alignment with God’s agenda for this season.

I’m reminded of a few instances when people were in the right place (their physical location and their spiritual position), at the right time.  Therefore, because their time clocks were synchronized with God’s timing - they were blessed beyond measure.  Consider the: Woman of Samaria (John 4), and The Ethiopian Eunuch (Acts 8;26-40); they were positioned in the right place at the right time – and therefore were able to encounter life altering experiences.

To be completely synchronized I must:

• Know what season I am personally undergoing. Just understand that your personal season may differ from others who are in your church, temple, synagogue, etc.  
• Understand the process of: Seed, Time & Harvest. I feel that all seeds when sown and properly cared for will produce fruit. However, there is a process that must be adhered to prior to receiving the fruit. Even though we are approaching the time when the “plowman will overtake the reaper (Amos 9:13)” – we must still understand the process to be synchronized.  (Note: Also apple seeds won’t produce oranges.  You can fast, pray, command and demand…. But those apple seeds will only produce apples….after the seeds have matured and are ready to be harvested. We must also know what type of seed to sow and when!)
• Know the voice of God. We are living in an era where the enemy is using those who are in positions of authority to attempt to displace, dismantle and demolish the authentic voice of God. Remember God’s voice will ALWAYS be in alignment with His written word.
• Value my time by not becoming distracted by anything that is not God ordained for THIS season.

To be completely synchronized with God’s future plans concerning us is not difficult.  However it will require of us a determination to acknowledge Him in ALL of our ways – as He leads us step by step; day by day…. And in most instances minute by minute!

“Timing is so important! If you are going to be successful in dance, you must be able to respond to rhythm and timing. It’s the same in the Spirit. People who don’t understand God’s timing can become spiritually spastic, trying to make the right things happen at the wrong time. They don’t get His rhythm – and everyone can tell they are out of step. They birth things prematurely, threatening the very lives of their God-given dreams.” – T. D. Jakes

Priority Number One

“…… he that winneth souls is wise.” Proverbs 11:30

As we focus daily on our God given assignments and obligations, we must be certain that we don’t lose sight of our ultimate goal.   Therefore, it doesn’t matter what our giftings or callings are, nor our area of “expertise”; we all have been given an assignment that greatly outweighs everything else.

Far too often, we become so involved in doing the work of the Lord; that we permit the call to distract us from “THE CALL”. In other words we become so engulfed with doing the work of the Lord that we lose sight on our ultimate goal.  We must always remain cognizant of our number one priority.  Its relevancy hasn’t been altered.   Today the need and the demands are even greater now than ever before.   What should be the major underlying focus of every Christian? It should be the ability to be an effective, influential, innovative, skillful Soul Winner!

On a regular basis we must inventory our spiritual data base and do a little housekeeping.  It is necessary that we replace antiquated methods with those whose application will make an impact on the unsaved.  We can’t forget to seek the face of the Lord for His guidance and direction to obtain the strategies that will be effective.  We can’t forget that we should ALWAYS be advocates for the Kingdom of God. We can’t forget that everything we’ve endured has qualified us; and given us vital evidence to substantiate God’s love.  We can’t forget that there are still those people who…. if they heard some of our victories – would be drawn to the Lord.  Be transparent when the Lord directs you to be so.  Remember…..For the believer - Soul Winning is priority number one…..Always!! 

So, value the importance of one lost soul.   Make an appointment with God to discuss the enhancement of your soul winning tactics.  Seek him for the boldness, wisdom and opportunity to be an effective witness – wherever and whenever the occasion occurs.  Simply because God has delayed His return – He is giving US one more day to assist in the enlargement of His family. 

Your number one priority is to be an effective Soul Winner.  However, today’s soul winners must be Spirit lead; Spirit filled and above all be Spiritually motivated!

Remember Ezekiel 33:6 which states:

But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the trumpet, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take any person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand.

Tenacity To Endure

“Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9

In this season it is imperative that you don’t give up!  We are all on the verge of receiving from the Lord all that He has promised.  Don’t get distracted.  Don’t become weary….And above all…  Don’t lose your focus!  Here’s another prayer that the Lord gave to me.  Be Blessed.

Grateful For Your Tenacity (©2003)

Father God, in the name of Jesus, I come to you to acknowledge that tenacity is needed to accomplish your divine purpose in my life.  So I come to you now, EARLY. At the beginning of this time of my life.  Since today is the first day of the rest of my life, I have come at the start of this new season, with the realization that I am in a new “place in life”.  For this day has never been seen prior to its awakening.  Therefore, I am in a place that I have not yet experienced. 

I thank you for your diligence, your perseverance, your endurance, your stamina, your assiduity, your determination - that I now possess that enables me to be the warrior you have decreed me to be.

So now Lord, I stand on Romans 8:36-39 and declare that in all things I am more than a conqueror.  I acknowledge that I already have the tenacity required to receive the manifestation of every blessing that you have outlined for me in your word.

I will therefore never permit any obstacle or phenomenon in this life to hold me captive.  I will never permit any thought pattern that is contrary to your divine direction to invade my conscience or sub-conscience intellect.

As I have become more tenacious while studying your word; You have revealed your wisdom,

As I have become more tenacious to seek your face in times of disappointment; You have  revealed your unconditional love and security,

As I have become more tenacious while engaged in spiritual warfare; You have revealed your camouflage, shield, shelter, your protection - as well as the ability to uproot diabolical plans.

As I have become more tenacious in advancing and enhancing every area of my life; You have revealed the potency, the discernment, the joy, the peace and the fulfillment that are now evident in my life.

So, I thank you Lord for the manifestation of your “SUPERNATURAL TENACITY” that enables me to endure!

Virtues of Victory

“…….. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.”   I John 5:4

What is victory?  How is it determined?  Listed below are some of the foundational concepts or what I refer to as my “Virtues of Victory”.

V – Vision - To be victorious I must have a vision; a mental image of my future state. 

                       “Where there is no vision, the people perish” Proverbs 29:18

I -   Intensify – To intensify is to exhibit “increase” by: enhancing, strengthening and deepening.

                  Therefore, to be victorious I must not cease to eagerly, aggressively, powerfully    

                   intensify my efforts in every area of my life.  However not working harder – but 

                   smarter!

                 “ But you, beloved, build yourselves up [founded] on your most holy faith [make  

                  progress, rise like an edifice higher and higher], praying in the Holy Spirit;  Jude 20

                  (AMP)

C -    Concentrate – To ponder; to muse; to deliberate.  Concentration requires an ability to

                 focus.  Victory is never accomplished by one who has loss their ability to maintain  

                 their focus.

                “And SET your minds and keep them set on what is above (the higher things), not on    

                 the things that are on the earth.”   Colossians 3:2

T -    Trust – Confidence or conviction.  To gain total victory, I must solidify my trust channels

                from the inside out.

                “Don’t put your life in the hands of experts who know nothing of life, of salvation life.”  

                   Psalm 146:3 (MSG).  Also  Proverbs 20:7; 3:5

O -   Opposition – Hostile or contrary action or condition.   Except the fact that there will always

                  be oppositions; some will edify, some will challenge and all which emanate from the    

                   kingdom of darkness are sent to destroy.  However.. every opposition will produce

                  victory… if permitted to run its course!

                “....In this world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the

                  world.” John 16:33

R –   Rules - No task in life is ever accomplished w/o abiding by the established guidelines.

                  To be victorious; I must know the rules….and obey them.

                   Romans 12:1-5 (ESV); Proverbs 4:7; Titus 3:1

Y -   Yoked -   Joined, fasten to, connected to.  To be victorious I must remain free of any restrictive

                 burden; and only become yoked to those things that will permit the furtherance of God’s

                plan and purposes for my life.

               “….Let us lay aside every weight..” Hebrews 12:1

When we physically observe the word victory, we will notice that it begins with a letter “v” and ends with a letter “y”.   The letter “y” is a letter “v” that has been enhanced.  At the conclusion of every victory, we will have been increased to some degree.

We can also observe that the shape of the letter “y” reminds us of a fork in the road.  At the end of every victory – we stand at a fork in the road.  We have to make a decision.  We must decide whether to prepare for the next level and advance forward.... or to become satisfied with our present accomplishment and remain at that place.  The Lord always requires that we advance.   The ability to continually walk in a state of victory is achieved, when I decide to never become satisfied with my current achievements – but to always strive for an added dimension of greatness.

Paul explained it like this: “Brothers, I do not consider that I have made it my own. But one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, I press on toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 3:13 & 14

So again I ask, “What are some of the virtues of VICTORY”?  The answer: The ability to expand my Vision; to aggressively Intensify every area of my life; to maintain my Concentration; to continually build and fortify my Trust channels; to expect Opposition, to obey the Rules and to be Yoked to Kingdom Principles!

And it is so!!

Is Fear Hindering Your Progress?

For the Spirit God gave usdoes not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.  II Timothy 1:7 (NIV)

Why did you still have an array of unaccomplished projects waiting to be completed?  Why are you still not boldly advocating or displaying the spiritual gifts which you possess?  Have you permitted the reminders of your past failures to paralyze you – and prevent you from “getting up” and trying again?  If you can affirmatively agree with these questions, the spirit of fear could very well be your deterrent.

It’s time for us to aggressive attack this spirit and forbid its return.  If we don’t uproot this spirit of fear – it will continue to hinder our progress - permitting us to continuously, vigorously run a spiritual treadmill …. Building strong muscles….but going nowhere!

I’m once again printing the prayer concerning fear.  Read it daily for a few days to gain the maximum results.

FEAR BE GONE!  (© 2003)

Holy Spirit, I surrender right now to you my entire being.  I ask that you reveal to me now every area of my life where ungodly fear is present.  Every area in my conscience or sub-conscience arena where fear may have a stronghold.  Any area from my past where fear has been the comfort zone.  Reveal every open door that satan has used to bring fear into my life.

Lord God, your word declares that your perfect love will cast out, drive away, eradicate and will replace fear.  So Father, I come to you now and ask that you reveal to me your perfect love in every area of my being.  Your love that will not fail.  Your love that is unconditional.  Your love that is incomprehensive to my natural man, - but is conceivable in the spirit realm.

Father, as I have asked the Holy Spirit to reveal the entrances where fear has entered, I ask you for the wisdom needed to close every open door. I decree those doors closed, shut, sealed - never to be opened again. 

I will now begin the process to renew my mind – daily.  I will develop a new appetite which desires your decreed will for my life – freed from every diabolical hindrance.

I thank you Father God for my new found freedom in you now that the weight of fear is gone. Hallelujah!

OH NO! Not This Time!!!

“Wisdom is the principle thing, therefore, get wisdom; and in all thy getting, get understanding”. Proverbs 4:7

Today we appear to be forever learning – but never gleaning the proper understanding.  The Lord desires for us to remember and to understand three things;

1. WHO He is
2. WHAT He is doing
3. WHY He is allowing us to encounter certain situations and circumstances.

Knowledge gives FACTS, but UNDERSTANDING permits me to properly apply the meanings of the facts that I’ve learned.  (…And all facts are not TRUTH!)  Many times we are experiencing the same situations over and over again.  This is usually because we haven’t gleaned the wisdom that’s necessary to understand WHO God is; WHAT He is doing and the WHY of His actions.  Therefore, when circumstances unexpectedly become adverse; we become frustrated, anxious, angry and/or discouraged.

Knowledge gives us Information but Understanding yields Principles; Knowledge impacts our memory but understanding impacts our reasoning; Knowledge builds scholars but Understanding creates teachers.

SO, this time when I’m confronted with the same situations….again… my response will reflect that I’m truly in a different place.  Since I don’t just have information but I now have an understanding of WHO, WHAT and WHY….I will emerge from every situation as “more than a conqueror”.  No matter what the opposition – I can tell the enemy..... OH NO – Not This Time!

In Mark 13:7 in the amplified version

“⁷And when you hear of wars and rumors of wars, do not get alarmed (troubled and frightened); it is necessary [that these things] take place, but the end is not yet.”

⁸For nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be earthquakes in various places; there will be famines and calamities. This is but the beginning of the ^[a]intolerable anguish and suffering [only the first of the ^[b]birth pangs].

So when the next major calamity comes that shook us like “9 -11” did; Our response will not be one of fear and frustration.  We will maintain our focus – and tell the enemy…OH NO – Not This Time!

When sickness comes to visit again….because I now understand Isaiah 53:5 – I will stand and declare, OH NO.. Not This Time!

If finances become questionable, because I’m a tither and understand Malachi 3:11 - I can say OH NO.. No This Time.

 When Loneliness knocks at my door – I can open the door with Deuteronomy 31:6.

 When disappointments and tribulations arise… Romans 8:38 & 39 will be my response… And Whatever the enemy throw my way, because I now have the proper understanding….I will use my God given authority, which is always based in His Word; and boldly proclaim …OH NO.. Not This Time!

Someone summarized it this way

One day heartaches will be over -  But Today we have God’s COMFORT,

One day pain will be no more, TODAY God is saying My GRACE is sufficient,

One day there will be no more burdens, but TODAY we have His Strength,

One day I will possess everything that I need, but TODAY Live by Faith,

One day I will understand EVERYTHING… BUT TODAY I TRUST His actions!

Yes.. Prayer is the KEY…FAITH unlocks the door….But a proper UNDERSTANDING will give me the ACCESS and the WISDOM to OPEN that door and allow me to tell the enemy… OH NO, NOT THIS TIME!

That Higher Place … GO THERE!!

…..I PRESS toward the mark of the high calling…. Philippians 3:14

“Zion is calling”.  This song has been ringing in my spirit.  So as I sought the Lord, He instructed me to remind you that you need not confine your praise, allegiance or areas of dedication  to Him – to the subordinate levels of others. 

Everyone is not attempting to usher His presence into their daily walk.  In this season, we can attest to the fact that many  are content with their current status and position in the realm of the spirit.  They aren’t really concerned about making an imprint into the lives of others or intensifying their impact against the kingdom of darkness!

Nevertheless, if you are desiring:

To be used of the Lord as never before,

To augment your level of faith to that “mountain moving” level,

To witness and participate in miracles, signs and wonders,

And to consistently walk ABOVE the circumstances of this present life,

I would suggest that you permit the lyrics of this song (Zion is Calling) to birth within you  a stamina, longing and a yearning for the presence of the Lord that permits you to communicate with Him in a dimension that you have not previously experienced. 

I have personally witnessed the fact that as my praise, when motivated and dominated more by my spirit than by my sensory arena – I can receive a life changing experience with the Lord.  (Note: The enemy doesn’t mind if we have dynamic worship services; because many people are leaving those services without those services impacting their daily walk! That’s another lesson for another time.)   

So, simply because we are required to be that visible representation of the power and authenticity of the Lord – Zion is calling you to that higher place of praise!

Be Comfortable With Who You Are!

I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;  Psalm 139:14 (NIV)

On yesterday, the Lord used Pastor Veronica Hinton to deliver a powerful message to her congregants.   The concept presented was the fact that I’m different, but I’m okay!

The only chance that we have for survival today and in the days ahead is to embrace our uniqueness.  Far too often we are attempting to adhere to the ideologies, precepts and examples of those who have not the relationship with the Lord that we have developed.  Every experience and life challenge that I’ve endured - even prior to my existence in this realm, has fashioned me to be who I am today. 

The word “okay” in this instance doesn’t imply a mediocre subordinate status.  It means that a stamp of approval has been obtained.

Therefore, I don’t see through your eyes – BUT, I’m okay,

My relationship with the Lord is MY relationship  - BUT, I’m okay,

You may not understand my expressions of worship – BUT, I’m okay.

My degree of discipline may seem extreme – BUT, I’m okay.

My expectations may appear be extraordinary (and they are!!!) – BUT, I’m okay.

We must always remember that we are fearfully and wonderfully made – in the image and likeness of Almighty God.  Soooo, as long as God, who created me to be different… receives and embraces my allegiance to Him; I need not to attempt to stifle, suppress, or conceal anything that the Lord receives.

I AM the square peg, that will never comfortably fit into the round hole… and I’ve learned that my difference, my individuality has been given to me from the Lord.  I may be different BUT….I’m okay!

Access Granted

“….If thou can believe ALL things are possible……”  Mark 9:23

This morning while in prayer the Lord once again said “ACCESS”.  He said, “Only believe”.  We have not, because we ask not, and when we ask – there is still an underlying layer of fear, doubt and unbelief…. that is preventing the total manifestation of your request being received. 

For many of us, we are already witnessing the manifestation of Amos  9:13.  We are receiving – while and in some instances prior to planting or sowing. 

The Lord has said that your faithfulness has earned the privilege to walk in the status of being respected as a “King’s Kid”.  So, from this day forth raise your level of expectation. 

EXPECT God to move on your behalf, 

EXPECT doors of opportunity to open. 

EXPECT people to  suddenly become aware of who you are. 

EXPECT the manifestation of every positive thing in your life. 

EXPECT “the better”, because you ARE the head and not the tail,

EXPECT extreme favor,

EXPECT people to sow into your life.  (And also expect those with hidden agendas – who have been sent by the enemy to be exposed) . 

However just know that you have access:

A – Authority (Luke 10:19)

C – Courage (Joshua 1:9)

C  - Confidence (Hebrews 10:35-36)

E- Endowment (Romens 8:17)

S- Solitude (Matthew 6:6)

S- Stability (1 Corinthians 15:58)

You have been given ACCESS – however, it’s YOUR responsibility to adhere to the voice of the Lord and walk ABOVE the demonic voices of fear, doubt and unbelief! 

AND IT IS SO!!!!

There’s Been A Shipwreck… Just Hold On To Your Broken Pieces

 “But the centurion, willing to save Paul, kept them from their purpose; and commanded that they which could swim should cast themselves first into the sea, and get to land: And the rest, some on boards, and some on broken pieces of the ship. And so it came to pass, that they escaped all safe to land.”   Acts 27:43 & 44       (Read the entire chapter for better insight)

There are times when, as Paul, we are always embarking upon some type of voyage or challenge where our “ship” becomes totally destroyed.   However we must remember one concept: There will always be fragments to gather.  So in the midst of your worst devastation – Hold on to your broken pieces!   If you hold on….and don’t quit……. And don’t become discouraged…You will be victorious.

We must also remember that Psalm 34:19 tells us that many are the afflictions of the righteous – BUT the Lord WILL deliver us out of them all. Afflictions refer to circumstances or hardships that cause pain or suffering; whether physical or mental.   Paul was afflicted on numerous occasions – but he managed to flee safely every time because he kept his focus, and learned to hold on to his broken pieces.  As he stated in II Corinthians 4:8-9 “We are troubled on every side, yet not distressed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; Persecuted, but not forsaken; cast down, but not destroyed;……”.

I’m reminded of an old school song that said, “I’m so glad, trouble don’t’ last always”.   So as I await God’s divine intervention….. I must remember that God is able to do just what he said he would do, He's gonna fulfill every promise to me.  I can’t give up on God, cause he won't give up on me….He’s Able!!!!

Therefore…..I’ll hold to God’s unchanging hand,…… and Build My Hopes On Things Eternal….. and continue Standing on the Promises of Christ my king…..  and Look Ever to Jesus; He Will Carry Me Through! (I still love hymns!)

So, no matter how devastating or destructive the storm; there will always be broken pieces.  

I MUST maintain or regain my focus. 

 I MUST search out those broken pieces.

 I MUST value my broken pieces.

 I MUST remain cognizant of the fact that I can never, never let go of my broken pieces – for it is those broken pieces that will glide me safely to the shore!

“Get To Steppin”… Because God Has Chosen U!

Many times when we think about those who the Lord uses for and in ministry, we think that He only wants to use those who have certain qualifications.  Far too often, we think that He wants those who: have made various educational accomplishments; have had extreme experiences; have eloquent speech or melodious voices, etc.   But I need to bring to your remembrance that, God Has chosen U!  So Get To Steppin…

You must remember that nothing you do or say surprises God. Before the foundation of this world – He established and placed in motion everything that you needed to be who He has called you to be.  The dilemma often presented, is that we have permitted the opinions of others and even sometimes our own opinions, to make us think that someone else is better equipped to fulfill a specific work for the Lord.

When must never forget that as the text implies God has given to each of us the gift that He knows will best suit us.  Everyone has at least one gift.

So, the next time you feel like God can’t use you; just refer to the list below.  Some of you have seen it before, but it serves as an excellent reminder to us that God can use whomever HE desires to use.  Now…. don’t use this list as an excuse to sin! However, just know that your struggles should not be the excuse for you to shun away from your calling. 

Remember that:  Abraham thought that he was too old; Sarah mocked God and laughed at His promise; Isaac was a daydreamer; Jacob was a liar; Noah got drunk; Leah had a physical affliction; Joseph was abused and he had a prison record; Moses stuttered; Gideon was afraid; Samson had long hair and was a womanizer; Rahab was a prostitute; Jeremiah and Timothy were both thought to be too young; David had an affair and was a murderer; Elijah was suicidal; Isaiah preached naked; Jonah ran from God; Naomi was a widow; Job went bankrupt; Peter denied Christ; The Disciples fell asleep while praying; Martha worried about everything; The Samaritan woman was divorced, more than once; Zaccheus was too small; Paul was a boring, long winded preacher; Timothy had ulcers; Lazarus was dead and Peter had a quick temper!

Just as God used these people in Biblical times – He is using us today – REGARDLESS!  Now, remember, we are not to continue in the sins of our past or current lives – but we are never to allow the enemy to tell us that God can’t use us, because of our past or because of the struggles that we are still overcoming.

Romans 5:8 reminds us of God’s love for us.  While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. While we were yet sinners God decided to use us for His glory!  We are a team.   On a team, there are different members and each plays a different role. Individual team members can win trophies.   This is great.  However, we are working to win a championship.   Championships are only won by teams.  They are won when the team pulls together; everyone doing their assigned job; to the best of their ability.

So….you’ve got to get to steppin in your neighborhood; you’ve got to get to steppin on your job; you’ve got to get to steppin in your family; and above all…you’ve got to get to steppin in your own devotion and relationship with the Lord!

Lastly, I must remember and say; without the input of the gift that the Lord has given to me; my team will have difficulty and will not win its championship.  We are all working for the same common goal.  We are all on the same team….but without just one player, YOU… the championship can’t be awarded!  You are very much needed to assist your team of “born again believers” to uproot every diabolical plan of our adversary. Whatever gift that you possess, and the devil has made you think, that it isn’t really important – that very gift is the missing link!

Yes, God has called YOU….So Get To Steppin!!!!

The Lack of Discipline ..

Has Produced Our

“Power Outage”

Read.. I John 4:1-5

A while ago there was an article in “Bloomberg Businessweek” which attempted to explain the shifting balance in the world’s economy.  The writer exampled the purchases of a few US major brands like Heinz and Burger King by foreign investors.  The writer also shared an insight to the enhanced concepts that have now invaded our economic and political arena – from which no one is currently exempted. In other words the power that once stabilized the US and her “commodities” is no longer valid.  She has lost her leverage and is experiencing a major power outage.

As I read the article, I began to equate it to a dilemma that we are apparently experiencing in the body of Christ.  It appears that we also have been invaded by foreign investors!  It appears that the body of Christ has now given birth to a generation; who, like the new breed of Israelites (read Exodus chapter 1) - knows not the God of their former and founding Fathers.

The Church (not the “Church Visible”; but the “Church Invisible”) has permitted the removal of the old land mark – for which we were cautioned not to do (Proverbs 23:10).

• We have permitted the elimination of foundational principles in our establishments of Worship, by those who KNEW NOT OUR GOD…….foreign investors!
• We have looked in the opposite direction with the introduction of a total “lack of respect” for the ordinances and sacraments in our Houses of Worship – and adopted “less intimidating” laws….. foreign investors!
• In other words, I would dare to say that the average Believer of Christ has taken this dispensation of “grace” as a “get out of jail free card”. … Foreign investment!
• In many instances; we have no longer acquired the proper convictions to correctly discipline our spirits to the extent that conformity occurs.  
• Far too many LEADERS are not willing to adhere to such mandates as: celibacy, tithing, studying the Word of God, or fasting.
• We have now sought to just be “comfortable” and to engage in whatever we “feel” is correct……foreign investor! And the list could continue forever!

So…. what has this given rise to? Sadly to say…the pitiful, disgraceful, inadequate spiritual state that we find existing in far too many of our Churches, Temples and the like.  We’ve permitted these foreign investors to cause a “disturbance” and a depletion of our authority in the realm of the spirit.  Therefore, we have a vast power outage!

The Church’s power outage, is to the extent that many of the Believers of Christ are no longer experiencing that “current” which will empower them with the drive to: visit and care for the sick, make prison visits, regularly attend prayer meetings and Bible studies… and where can you find an All Night Prayer Service????   We will comfortably sit and leave those “task” to those who are “called” to those ministries!   We, the body of Christ, have experienced a major power outage in the realm of the spirit; therefore the enemy can just come boldly into our Churches without any or by receiving very little opposition. We need locks on the Church doors and security guards in our services because we don’t have the power to build and establish an effective barrier against the enemy’s tactics.  We adhere to and seek the advice of our governmental system instead of standing boldly on the Word of God.  We value the opinions of doctors and are more committed to their recommendations, than truly standing in faith.   We have an extreme power outage!

Foreign investors may not have the ability to be conquered in the economic arena.  However,  II Chronicles 7:14 is still applicable today.  We are fully aware of the fact, that as the end of time as we know it draws nigh; there are certain occurrences which must transpire in order to fulfill what the Lord has mandated in our Bibles.  However, we must be determined that we will not fall privy to any of the standards which are being introduced to us from the kingdom of darkness – foreign investors.

 I challenge you to examine yourself.  Make sure that you are an intricate part of the solution – and not the problem. Sincerely ask yourself, “Am I one of the weak links in the chain?”

There is no earlier time than now; TODAY, to begin to make the proper amends to assure yourself that you are not one of the causes for this power outage….but that your power supply will remain….and that your connection to the main power source maintains its authenticity.

 “Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. They are from the world; therefore they speak from the world, and the world listens to them.”                 I John 4:1-5 ESV

Check Your Connections!

 ^“Surely the Lord God will do nothing, unless He revealeth His secret unto His servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7

Would you like to know the newspaper headlines for tomorrow?  What if your country’s security intelligence forces had the proper connections in advance to focus on where the next terrorist attack would occur? … Or the next major local catastrophe?  It doesn’t matter the situation; proper preparation requires that I get connected to the correct source to obtain a “heads up”.  When I am properly connected to the right source, I will be informed and prepared.  I can then advance to my next place in the realm of the spirit; in peace and harmony…. On time …. regardless to any diabolical road blocks!

The Lord loves us to the extent that He doesn’t want us to become alarmed or caught by surprise with the negative occurrences which will become apparent in the future.  He has promised to inform us of His intentions. (Refer to our key verse, Amos 3:7) However we must avail ourselves to those to whom He has given the ear to hear His prophetic voice.  It is imperative in this season that we get connected to those who can authentically represent and relay the voice of the Lord concerning the future.  We must get connected to those who have tru ly been anointed by God and have the ability to communicate to us His specifics concerning future events.

As I have so often said, the time to prepare for the calamity is prior to its occurrence. Our successful survival is dependent upon our ability to be proactive– rather than reactive; to be prepared rather that caught by surprise when major tragedies occur.  So now is the time to connect or to re-connect. 

• Get connected to someone who can correlate their insights concerning the future to the Word of God.
• Get connected to someone who has a proven positive track record.
• Get connected to someone who is willing to teach and lead by example; rather than just prophesy.
• Above all, get connected to the person (or persons) that the Lord is leading you to - not necessarily the person that is the most popular – but the person with whom the Lord validates within your spirit.

We can possess proper and powerful tools; however without the intervention of our God given connection(s), our production will be limited or possibly non-existent.    For example; one may purchase the finest electrical equipment possible.  However, if they have no means of receiving an electrical current; or if they can’t get connected to a working power source; their expensive tools are useless! 

So in this season… check your connections.  It is possible that the hindrance that you are encountering could simply be that it’s time to amend those to whom you are connected.  Sometimes we are trying to fix and patch up something that has served its purpose and needs to be discarded, replaced or upgraded.

We are in the final quarter of this year!  Begin to assess your connections.  Ask the Lord for the wisdom and the grace to “clean house” as you consider both your spiritual and secular connections.  Examination your connections closely and terminate those that the Lord deems are no longer beneficial.  Trust in the Lord ….He has never, nor will He ever steer you to the wrong connections.  Remember it’s not who you know….but to whom you are connected!!!

“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.  Hereby know ye the Spirit of God: Every spirit that confesseth that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is of God:  And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.”   I John 4:1-3

Faith, Faith, Faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

We have been taught through the Word of God, that Faith is obtained by not simply listening to the Word of God – but through understanding that Word that we hear.  However, what so frequently occurs is that we don’t properly understand the Word.  Then, since we don’t fully understand the Word, the enemy is able to steal the effectiveness of the Word.  (Read the explanation of the parable about the sower and the seed as recorded in Matthew 13:18-23).  Without the proper understanding – we open the doorway of our minds to the knocks of fear, doubt and unbelief. 

We are all given a measure of faith.  However, it then becomes our responsibility to move forward and upward on the “faith ladder”.  I would like to encourage you to check out the seven types of faith that I’ve listed below.  No doubt this list is not conclusive - just a simple measuring stick to get the ball rolling. 

Want to unlock the pathway that leads to more faith??? – The master key is labeled “HEARING”!  But not mere listening…. But repetitious listening that will enter my outer ear; begin to penetrate through and dismantle my former mindsets….. and find a resting place in the depth of my spirit.   When the Word that I hear begins to institute change …. I am on the road to producing a HEARING ear… An UNDERSTANDING ear.   It is this “hearing ear”; this understanding of the Word; that creates the platform for my faith to be increased!

Seven Types of Faith

(Not Listed in any Specific Order)

1. Natural Faith (Ex.- The type of faith that we extend to: bus drivers, our Doctors, our

       banks,  - no one has ever questioned a bus Driver about their credentials – we just 

       by “natural faith” take a seat and ride!)

2. Little Faith (Matthew 6:30)
3. Mustard Seed Faith (Matthew 17:20 – small but potent)
4. Great Faith (Matthew 8: 8 & 10)
5. Measure of Faith (Romans 12:3)
6. Faithless Faith (John 20:27)
7. Visual Faith (Luke 5:20)

Remember: Faith requires a corresponding action or it’s still dead. However, the key is not to attempt to proceed with the ACTION until you have implemented your Biblically based FAITH!!!! 

Integrity = A “Transparency” Which Must Be Displayed

May I daily mirror and display a “lifestyle” of integrity.

The Lord is my Rock and my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my strength, in whom I will trust; my buckler, and the horn of my salvation, and my high tower.                      Psalm 18:2

When we disrespect those who are in authority concerning us – and influence others to do the same; we are in walking in open rebellion.    At this point, WE have opened an entrance for the enemy to come in; take off his shoes and have a cup of cappuccino!   However, more importantly, we are also displaying the fact that the Lord is still not our rock.  Therefore, we are not walking in the level of integrity that will permit us to stand undefeated in these last days.

The evidence that the Lord is my rock is proven and displayed to others by the degree of integrity that daily governs my life.   If the Lord is my rock, I will not fall prey to the mindsets of this world and its dishonest principles.  “IF" the Lord is my rock, I will not stand upon the motivations, nor, find rest in the comfort zones, of anything that doesn’t come into alignment with the integrity of His Kingdom Principles.  My level of integrity must excel the mere living a lifestyle that others can observe as being that of a “Christian”.  I must be an open display in the realm of the spirit; to be observed by every diabolical force; that my dedication to the Lord is authentic.

Therefore, as of today O Lord, may my every thought, motive and action affirm the fact that you are truly my rock.  It is you that I run to daily to support and anchor me.  It is you that I depend upon as my pillar, as my prop, as my leaning post, as my only genuine stake; which possesses the ability to remain stable and unyielding in this ever - changing world.

Lord, I realize that it is only because of your revealed quality as Yahweh Sali, that I am capable of remaining unshaken in the midst of every storm. Even nature has revealed that in the eye of every hurricane or tornado there is a place of total peace. I have discovered that it is the guidance of your eye, Yahweh Sali, which is capable of giving me total peace and stability when the turmoil and devastative effects of spiritual or natural tsunamis manifest themselves in my life.   No matter what occurs, because of your integrity to me, - I can always find comfort in the fact that you have hidden me in the “cleft of yourself” and permitted me to find safety in the “secret place” of who you are.  You have allowed me to abide under your shadow. It is in you that I can wholeheartedly trust.   May I never forget that you have been and will always be my perpetual ROCK.

“On Christ the SOLID ROCK I stand….ALL, ALL, ALL other ground is sinking sand!”

Therefore, I will perpetually keep myself under the restraints of the Holy Ghost; who will assure me of the power to walk in the level of integrity; that permits the Lord to be visibly displayed in every circumstance and situation that I may daily encounter…..

And it is so!

Who Does My Love Cover?

“Most important of all, continue to show deep love for each other, for love covers a multitude of sins.”     I Peter 4:8

I’m reminded of an illustration that I saw many years ago concerning God’s love for us – and how we are to mirror the same.  The love of God has no boundaries, limitations or restrictions.   His love is totally unconditional and transcends every sin that we could ever imagine.  He has a love for ALL of mankind and so desires for us to: first be recipients of that love…and then to share it with EVERYONE that we encounter.

Now, for the most part, we have no real issue or reserve assuming the position of the one who is the recipient of any expression of love.  However, we then at times, become like the unmerciful person in Matthew 18:33 . When God extends His love to us and forgives us – we fail to permit that same virtue to permeate our spirits.  We will often become judgmental, analytical, insensitive and downright hypercritical concerning the application of that same love towards the faults and failures of others.

In the illustration that I mentioned earlier; a person was placed in the center of the circle.  This person had several 3x5 cards pinned to them that bore the names of various sinful deeds and lifestyles.  Then another person had a very large quilt with only one card pinned to it. This one card read, “God’s Love”. The quilt; which had the words, “God’s Love” on it was large enough to completely cover the person who was sitting in the circle.  The quilt was placed over the person who was sitting in the middle of the circle. This person, seated in the circle; who bore the titles of various sins; could no longer be seen because they were completely covered with the quilt entitled “God’s Love”! Was the person still in the center? Yes.  But they couldn’t be seen  nor their sins/faults because God’s Love (the quilt) had completely covered them!

So I ask you.. Whom does your love cover?  Do you have the love of God that is COMPLETELY unconditional? Or…do you make excuses for the boundaries and the stipulations that you’ve placed on what “you call” God’s love?  We must boldly stand for those who have not yet had the ability to experience the love of God.   Once someone has encountered the true love of God –they will turn to Him…and “HE” will bring the deliverance.  He will give them the ability and desire to turn totally unto Him.  (Note: Now don’t get it twisted! While we are never to make provisions for, nor sanction any acceptance of sinful acts or the ungodly lifestyles of others; we must learn how to DEMONSTRATE genuine, unconditional love to all –despising the sin, but not the sinner.)

Remember that God needs US…the body of Christ to SHOW.. not just talk and sing about His love.  I’m often asked about the connections that I have with certain groups of people.  My response is always – if I don’t show them God’s love….then who will? 

Let’s be more adamant in our daily walk concerning our love walk.  The world is in dire need of true love.  And…. Yes, they are looking for this love in all of the wrong places.  However, when they do come to the right place, which is the house of the Lord; and when they encounter the correct people – who are US, the current day disciples of Christ….. Will they find the love of God … that covers?  We have what they need – but we must be willing to let go of our prideful mindsets, then venture outside of the walls of our buildings, and “SHOW some real love”.

So….. Ask yourself, “Do I permit the love of God that dwells within me to cover everyone? ” 

           If not…..why not?
