Day 10 - The Day of Illumination

Lord may I permit your light to shine through me—REGARDLESS.

JEHOVAH ORI”

(The Lord my light - Psalms 27:1)

“This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but men love darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.”    St. John 3:19 (NIV)

Read Psalm 27

To encapsulate the concept of “Illumination”; we could state that illumination is when God, through the working of Holy Spirit, conveys to us an UNDERSTANDING of a revealed Bible truth.

So today, Lord I ask that you illuminate every area of my mind that appears to be dark - void of understanding.   Your Son has come to us as our Light; as our path … as that road which reveals an understanding of your desires for us.

Jehovah Ori; as the ultimate Illuminator; you are the lamp unto my feet (my current situations; where I walking now) as well as the light unto my path (my future; the situations that I have not yet encountered) .

Today, I seek the Holy Spirit as never before for a fuller revelation of who you truly are Jehovah Ori…. For without revelation I will have no illumination.

I ask you Lord, my JEHOVAH ORI; that as a result of this consecration, I will continually seek your face for the true illumination.  May I never fall prey to the ideologies, concepts, and endtime thought patterns that have been released from the kingdom of darkness.  If I must stand seemly alone; then so be it.  Permit me; empower me to never compromise or keep hidden the illuminated revelations that you have given to me.  My effectiveness and stamina as an endtime warrior will only be maintained if I seek you daily for a more in-depth illumination of my previously learned strategies.  This is a necessity because yesterday’s strategic planning has been exhausted.  Only you can illuminate my understand to the extent that I am assured of my success daily against every diabolical plot and plan.

May I realize that just because it’s a new year, that fact alone won’t assure me of receiving your “multidimensional” illuminations.  Lord, enlarge my territory…. - the territory of my mind, which will produce new imaginations, a new comprehensive vision and an unquenchable thirst for you.

“Jehovah Ori, may I permit your LIGHT to so shine through me, that I may then in return, have that ability to share with others the wisdom, revelation knowledge and endtime strategies that you disclose to me.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 9 - The Day of Redemption

Day 9 - The Day of Redemption

HALLELUJAH! I am redeemed!

“JEHOVAH GOELEKH”

(The Lord thy redeemer - Isaiah 49:26 & 60:16)

“But when the fullness of time had come, God sent forth his Son, born of woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons”                    Galatians 4:4 & 5                                                             English Standard Version (ESV)

Read Isaiah 49 & Galatians 4

Even though it has been many years ago, whenever I hear the word redemption, I remember the redemption centers for those S & H Green stamps that people used to collect here in America.

To summarize the entire process; at the center, you would bring in the stamps that you had collected from various food markets - and had pasted in a book.  Then you would trade or “redeem” your stamps for something of value.

The stamps were just worthless paper, when brought to the redemption center, would be traded for an item whose value was far greater that mere paper.

So it is with us. In our sin nature, we were nothing short of mere paper; just dirt, just clay, and just a blob of useless worthless nothing.  However, God; because of His unconditional love for us has the power to convert, to trade, to exchange and to forever “buy back” our souls.   He desires to release us FROM (the bondages of our former state) and release us TO (our new dimension in the Lord).

There’s a hymn (for those of you who are still be blessed to sing them!), which says:

Redeemed -how I love to proclaim it! Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb;
Redeemed through His infinite mercy, His child, and forever, I am.

Redeemed, Redeemed, Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb; Redeemed, Redeemed, His child, and forever, I am.

So on today, let us reflect on all that the Lord has permitted us to accomplish….. however great or small.  Let us realize - had it not been for our “JEHOVAH GOELEKH” we would be nothing more than mere S & H Green stamps - with no future or hope.

As Jesse Dixion wrote:

I am redeemed, bought with a price; Jesus has changed my whole life.

If anybody asks you, just who I am, Tell them I am REDEEMED.

Where there was hate, love now abides, where there was confession, peace now reins

I’m walking with Jesus; I’m a child of the King. All because I AM REDEEMED!

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 8 - The Day of Strength

Day 8 - The Day of Strength

Lord, YOU are my strength!

“JEHOVAH UZZI”

(The Lord my strength - Psalms 28:7)

“JEHOVAH TSURI”

(O Lord my strength - Psalm 19:14)

My health may fail, and my spirit may grow weak, but God remains the strength of my heart; he is mine forever. “  Psalm 3:26                                                   New Living Translation (©2007)

Read Psalm 28 & Psalm 73

As we have daily encountered the circumstances of life, we have realized that we have only maintained the ability to yet be triumphant because of an inner strength that has been and always will be prevalent.   This strength is not our strength, but strength of the Lord.

The words in the above text for strength translates as “rock”.  Lord, may I remember that you are my perpetual “ROCK”.  When all else fails—you will remain constant.  Even if there comes a time when my health, wealth, and spirit become overwhelmed—you are still my strength.  Daily may I never attempt to stand in my own strength.  Daily may I acknowledge you in all of my ways.  Daily may I remember that I CAN do all things through your strength which is that rock, that pillar and that fortress forever in my life.    Daily may I remain cognizant of the fact that “In Times Like These”…I have an anchor; my anchor holds…. And it grips you…. that solid Rock!

So Lord, when everything: every foundation, every prop, every support system that has been erected in my life—is shaken…. “when the earth all around me is sinking sand”; on Christ that solid rock I’ll stand!  When I need shelter, when I need a friend; “I go to the rock”.   May I never, never, never forget that YOU, Jehovah Uzzi,  are my strength…..my rock.

May I fully understand and cling to the essence of an old favorite hymn which states:

“On Christ the solid rock I stand, all other ground is sinking sand”.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 7 - The Day of Truth

Day 7 - The Day of  Truth

Today, Lord I embrace your truth.

JEHOVAH El EMETH”

(Lord God of truth - Psalm 31:5)

“Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.”                                              Psalm 25:5

Read Psalm 31

Within today’s arena, there has been such a distortion of what is really “truth”, that without the indwelling guidance and direction of Holy Spirit we will be lead down the path of error.

Many foundational concepts that were once upheld as the truth have now been replaced with the cunning influences of the enemy.    Not only has our government and its judicial system strayed from the truth, what is even more disheartening is that the body of Christ is beginning to lose its authenticity concerning what is truth.

We must now as never before plunge into the truth of God which He has revealed to us in His Word.   We must embrace it with a “bulldog” type of tenacity.   As we embrace what is truth, it then becomes our responsibility to enlighten those to whom we come in contact with.  It is our mandate to read the truth, understand the truth, and above all apply the truth to every area of our lives.

As the fast approaching end of time as we now know it draws nigh, the kingdom of darkness will cunningly attempt to discredit the truth even the more.  However, God is truth and we must continue to proclaim His truth, avail ourselves of His truth and uphold His authentic Kingdom principles that He has given to us.

If we adhere to the truth and allow it to infiltrate our minds, then we will have to ability to discern error immediately.  SAINTS don’t be blindsided – this is an urgent plea.  We cannot afford to be passively ignorant concerning what is truth.  Time is of a grave essence.  We MUST, by any and every means necessary “raise the bar” and live daily a life founded on “JEHOVAH El EMETH”.

Lord, my plea today is that you assist me as I pray for a keener, endtime discernment.  Jehovah El Emeth establish a supernatural alarm system over ever portal that permits an entrance or access to my spirit.  May I immediately become aware of every diabolical intruder that attempt to enter.  I vow to never yield, entertain or compromise with err; thus weakening the heighten level of integrity that you have ordained for me.  I will be one of the end time warriors who will embrace your truth and enlighten others of the same.

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen

Day 6 -The Day of Forgiveness

Day 6—The Day of  Forgiveness

Lord, May I remain cognizant that forgiveness is a decision!

“El NORE”

(God that forgave - Psalm 99:8)

Read Psalm 99 & I John 1

Without getting an in-depth comprehension of God’s love for us, we cannot even initiate a conversation on His forgiveness.

Although we don’t usually envision it to be so, the concept of forgiveness is birthed from a seed of love.  Inevitably, when we increase and engulf an awareness of God’s love—then the decision to forgive one another will become as natural to us as breathing.

For far too long we have been deceived into thinking that forgiveness must involve forgetting as well.  Forgiveness is a decision not a feeling.  Forgiveness is not reliant upon the acceptance nor the initiation of the offender.

Forgiveness is a principle that was established by God because He knew that man would sin. He also knew that (1) sin would separate man from Himself and (2) His love for man was so great that He didn’t want to be separated from him.   Hence, He has given to us His most precious gift in the person of His son Jesus to atone for our sin, thus bridging the gap caused by sin.

Therefore, whatever “traps” that I become ensnared in that will cause me to commit a sin - because of God’s unconditional love for me - the blood of Jesus has already made atonement for them. I must now learn how to receive El Nore’s forgiveness for myself and apply it to others who may offend, misuse and abuse me.  I must also realize that to walk in unforgiveness is only a deceptive tactic which has been released from the kingdom of darkness!

When people are offended, those who still have not exceled in the wisdom of the Lord will make the statement, “I’ll forgive them; but I won’t forget what they’ve done”.   Well, why not embrace this concept.  What a blessing it is to forgive and not forget – but REMEMBER! To remember the offenses that have scarred me – yet, to have finally reached a plateau of spiritual maturity in the Lord, where I now possess the ability to DECIDE that I will administer true forgiveness to my offenders…while remaining totally cognizant of their offenses toward me!  Hallelujah!  Now that’s true forgiveness!!!

Lord may I daily embrace and extend to others the true forgiveness that you have extended to me.  Thank you El Nore!

I decree and declare that it is so…..  In the name of Jesus – Amen.

Day 5

The Day of Creation

“JEHOVAH BORE”

(The Lord Creator - Isaiah 40:28)

“Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me.”                                                                     Psalm 51:10

Read Psalm 51

Today O God may my cry unto you flow from a heart that has the capacity to receive more of your creative nature.   I acknowledge now that it is only through your Divine craftsmanship that I will be freed from every impurity.  So I ask you not to just renew my heart; but to create - to take from “my nothingness” and compose a completely new heart; a throne from which I will have the ability to receive a renewed spirit.  May I no longer be enslaved to those concepts, precepts, ideologies and strongholds that are relative to my former sin nature.

Today Jehovah Bore, may I begin to totally understand the awesomeness of who you are.   Only you could CREATE a plan that would permit the redemption of fallen man.  Only you could CREATE a plan for the justification of fallen man. Only you could CREATE a plan for the sanctification of fallen man.  Only you Jehovah Bore could CREATE a plan that reveals your ultimate love for fallen man.

So today, I submit and surrender my heart to you Jehovah Bore, for a complete cleansing; thus producing a “newly created” heart which is now composed from none of the negativity or the ignorance of my past.  A brand-new heart which possesses a “newness” that only you through the power and presence of Holy Spirit have the ability to CREATE……

AND IT IS SO!!!  HALLELUJAH!!!!!

Your Axe-head Will Float Again (part 3)

(Read: II Kings 6:1-7)

Resurrection power.   The axehead in our story also brings to mind the ultimate potential of resurrection.  IF something is to be resurrected, it must first be dead, without hope and unable to perform its intended purpose.

So, whatever in our lives that we consider of grave importance for our advancement will always be available.  Circumstances may appear to leave us in a state of despair, confusion and dismay.

Yet, we must always remain cognizant of the fact that “El Hay” the Lord of resurrection is ever present.

El Hay has the power to reverse the laws of nature.  He has the supernatural ability to operate above nature, through nature and around nature.  This very power was exhibited at the Cross.  Jesus demonstrated that although once dead – even death had no victory over Him.

Even though the axehead in this story was out of sight physically, because of the resurrection power that was always present, the axehead had the ability to defy the laws of nature – receive the resurrection power, and be an open display for all to observe.

Therefore, we must always remain hopeful, confident, unwavering and assured in the resurrection power that is at our disposal.  We must never lose sight of who and whose we are in the realm of the Spirit.

The axehead (something in the natural) had to succumb to resurrection power (something  supernatural).

We must be determined that from today forward, we will walk above the limitations of nature.  We must call on our El Hay to resurrect any and everything that is required for our advancement.  REMEMBER: Impossibilities are transformed into possibilities when we learn to SPEAK to adverse conditions and exercise our authority and power over them - our resurrection power!

“That I may know him and the power of his resurrection, …..” Philippians 3:10a

Your Axe-head Will Float Again (part 2)

(Read: II Kings 6:1-7)

In Monday’s devotion our focus was drawn to the servant.  Today we will begin to discuss the stick in this story.

Briefly, here are a few facts:

  • The stick that was used was a freshly cut branch. Elisha, didn’t use the “helve” after the hatchet had been lost.  He dispatched something new to retrieve something old.
  • He released a lesser vessel (the wood) – to expose the heavier (the iron axhead).
  • The stick is symbolic of the cross.

What is our application for today?

  • God is using new strategies to bring restoration to old situations. The axehead was symbolic of hard work.  Today, God’s new strategy is to get us to realize that HE has already done the hard work – physically.  Our focus must now be directed more to the realm of the spirit than to that of the natural.  We are no longer accountable to the law – which gave us rules and regulations that were accomplished through “working”.   We are now governed by the grace of God – which requires us to appropriate faith.   (Yes, faith w/o works is dead – but we don’t work to gain faith.  We work as a corresponding action “TO” our faith….. Another lesson!)
  • In this season God is using those people and ministries that appear to be of a weaker and less notable reputation to have an authentic impact in the realm of the spirit. He is using those who have the ability to be threshed into situations; and to bring exposure, closure and restoration to that situation.  He is using those who are pure in heart, actions and devotion to Him.  It therefore doesn’t matter how weak or limited one may appear to be….. Purity = Power.
  • The stick represents wood.. which represents the cross. The cross settles everything.  Whatever the issue, dilemma, adverse situation or problem.  It was settled at the cross.  It doesn’t matter what.  The blood which was shed on the cross – settles EVERYTHING!  The blood of Christ was shed from at least 7 different places on His body.  Therefore wherever we throw our stick ….(wherever we apply the cross); restoration will occur.

(To be continued at another time.)

Just as God was able to use Elisha to move strategically in that emergency situation; He wants to have the ability to use you – immediately in any given situation.  However you must have made the proper preparations prior to the onset of an emergency situation.

Are you ready to be used as an “Elisha” ?   If so…. Expect God to use YOU in seemingly impossible situations and say… “Here I am Lord use me!”

(Not ready to be used?  Then stop the procrastination and begin TODAY the daily process of mind renewal.)

“Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever.”  Hebrews 13:8

Your Axe-head Will Float Again

Your Axe-head Will Float Again

(Read: II Kings 6:1-7)

This story as recorded in II Kings has always been among one of my favorites.  Today we will not even be able to “scratch the surface” to reveal all that can be gleaned from the examples and principles provided in this story.  However, we’ll probably come back to it tomorrow.

The focus for this meditation is the servant.  He was: working, in the right place, doing what he was instructed to do, using the proper tool and appearing to be accomplishing the task that was required of him.  However, all of a sudden – he was faced with a dilemma.  The very tool that he was using for advancement – which wasn’t even his, (he had borrowed it) – had vanished into the river – never to return again…. So he thought.

When you are faced with a dilemma – who is your first line of defense?  Many times we turn to a spouse, friend, colleague or family member.  Our servant in this story cried to his master.  He cried to someone who had the wisdom, faith and the solution to recover for him what he had lost. Therefore, our first lesson learned from this servant is: our first line of defense should be our Master…. prayerfully that would be our Lord.

As we proceed through the story we reference the axehead.  This tool can represent any tool (or weapon), that’s necessary for us to be effective as we attempt to advance.  Or any tool (or weapon) used to bring down, cut down or cut through diabolical plans or natural road blocks.  The servant had temporarily lost sight of his weapon.  However with the proper guidance, and instruction, he was able to see the return of his valuable tool.  So, just remember that your situation isn’t hopeless; no matter how it may appear to you.

It is only when we are in the proper place; receiving the proper supervision; anchored by the proper support and obeying the instructions which are given to us - that we will be able to cause our “axehead” to float again.

The servant had to DO something.   He didn’t just sit and weep about his situation.  He didn’t just tell his friends or colleagues. He told his MASTER! He told someone who had the wisdom to correct the dilemma, and the power to bring about the recovery of want he had lost.  The servant may have had faith, however “Faith” without corresponding actions – is dead.

As we are in this season of recovery; expect your axehead to float again.  Expect every weapon that is needed for your advancement in this season to be recovered.  Expect the outcome of every situation that appears to be impossible, receive an immediate reversal.

So go now and recover your axehead – but don’t do it your way (leaning to your own understanding!). You must listen to and adhere to the voice of your Master!  You must listen to the voice of wisdom….which may be delivered to you by God directly through His Word or by someone who can provide you with the careful and watchful guidance through the Word of God.

Your axehead will float again.  However you must be in the proper place, listening to the voice of your Master and doing only that which is relevant in this season for your recovery.

As the next calendar year quickly approaches, we must awaken our spiritual insight.  We must realize that no matter how the circumstances appear to our natural eye; the Lord is requiring of His true followers, to extend their focus beyond this realm – see what is viewed as lost -adhere to wise counsel – and receive the victory – your recovered “axehead”!

“Wise men and women are always learning, always listening for fresh insights.”                                                              Proverbs 18:15 (MSG)

The Tithe & The Tip

                                                                                                     The Tithe & The Tip

“What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me [How can I repay Him for all His bountiful dealings?]?”  Psalm 116:12 AMP

I had read an article in “Money” magazine that offered suggestions in reference to tipping those who render specific services to and for us.  The listing included everyone from various walks of life.  As I read through the list, I observed that every person, whose vocation was mentioned, was receiving at the very LEAST ten percent!

It appears that we have no problem expressing our gratitude to people when they supply us with a few “comforts of life”.  We will even often be very generous to them when we feel as though their services rendered to us were outstanding.

Therefore, if we are willing to demonstrate to mere people our appreciativeness; why is it that so many devoted; scripture quoting; Bible toting; Saints of the Most High God; have a problem giving back to Him?

Far too many have become “bamboozled” or “hoodwinked” when considering their giving unto the Lord.  In all actuality, we, as endtime Saints are no longer bound by the law.  We are supposed to use the principles which were established under the law (in the Pentateuch) to build our foundational truths.  However, we have been redeemed from the curse of the law.  The New Testament expresses free will giving.  Yet, since the ten percent idea was already established in the O.T…. we are to now use that as a minimum for our giving – not a maximum.  We haven’t really accomplished some great feat when we deposit our little ten percent into the tithe box!  The waitress at a local “greasy spoon” is receiving more than that!  Therefore, how can we be content to offer to GOD; who is our FATHER; who is the creator of the entire UNIVERSE; who is supreme in every aspect; and enables us to go out and to obtain our money…..  a ten percent  tithe/offering and be content???? It never ceases to amaze me how people will claim that they can’t afford to tithe!  Yet these same people will participate in various saving programs and plan for a vacation – yet never consider putting aside a special offering for the Lord!

Why are some so apprehensive concerning their giving?  One of the reasons is that they have not been liberated from the spirit of poverty.  That spirit and its big brother: the spirit of fear, are a “dynamic duo”.  Their power must be broken if one is to become a New Testament; free will giver.

So, what shall I render unto the Lord?   Yes, I will render myself as a living testimony of His miraculous redemptive, saving, and sustaining power. However, I will also never esteem others higher than I do the Lord when it comes to giving; especially the giving of money.  Therefore, when I say that I’ve surrendered all – to the Lord – I have really surrendered ALL……even my finances!!

As we prepare to enter into the year 2025, let’s also consider our directives concerning our financial worship observances.   When we review 2024 in the area of finances, did our sowing extend to the reverential plateau that warrants us with the ability to expect the manifestation of “greater”?

Since we are expecting the Lord to manifest Ephesians 3:20 in every area of our lives, let’s consider our mindset in reverence to those who represent the Lord in our lives – Our Leaders!

When we obey the Lord in our giving – across the board – we will gladly open our hands – and release not just a “tip” to the Lord…. We will even, with joy and expectation, show our gratitude and love for the Lord by sowing more than a mere ten percent! SELAH!

Challenge of the Day!!!

Challenge of the Day!!!

“A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another: just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another. By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.” John 13:34, 35

I recently visited a church where the congregation sang an awesome love song to the Lord.  When I left, the Lord said to me, “If half of the people who SANG about their love for me actually SHOWED that love, then the world would truly know who I am”.  He went on to say how in most instances we really don’t know how to express authentic love.  This is because what we call love is not true love, but usually some warped expression that has been passed on to us by others who were also unclear on the definition of love.  He said, “It’s so simple!  I’ve shown you exactly what love is and even had it penned in I Corinthians 13.”

Sadly to say….normally, we will show expressions of what we call love to those to whom we think or feel are deserving of it.  Or to those who: look, sound, and smell like us!  …Those who shop where we shop, eat where we eat and drive the vehicles complimentary to ours.  Now don’t misunderstand – it isn’t wrong to enjoy the “finer things” in this life.  However, it’s now time to realize and begin to comprehend the full essence of God’s unconditional, uncompromising, “no holds barred”, love for us.  It’s time for us to realize that God needs to use us to extend to others the type of love that He has shown to us.  It’s time for us to expand our mindset, slay that demonic spirit of pride, and begin to be an example of the love that we sing about.

So the mission for today (Should you decide to accept it!) …. is to SHOW an expression of unconditional love to someone that you normally would not consider.   Ask the Holy Spirit to work out all of the details….and He will.  He is just waiting for a “Yes” from you.  Then, daily ask the Lord to use you, as the channel through which He can show this dying chaotic world who He really is.  People need to know that there is hope… and that all is not lost.  They need to know that we have a God who is still the Lord over every situation and circumstance…. and who loves them unconditionally!

Yes, it’s okay to sing about the love of the Lord…. And that appeases us.  However, it’s far better to SHOW His love…..and that pleases Him!

“Let love be genuine. Abhor what is evil; hold fast to what is good. Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Do not be slothful in zeal, be fervent in spirit, serve the Lord.” Romans 12:9-11 (ESV)

Settle Your Spirit….

And Have Patience in the Hallway

Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. Romans 12:12

There are times when God has chosen to display His attribute of “silence”.  Now, although this character quality isn’t listed or written in any of the information concerning our Father; if you know Him to any extent; you can identify this as one of His traits!

So, what have you personally learned from God’s silence?  I have discovered that when we are in the “hallway” God chooses to test our ability to find our way to the next room.   When one door is nailed shut…. And we are waiting for another to open – we are in the “hallway”.    When we have difficult decisions to make and God is silent – we’re in the “hallway”.  When you’ve fasted, you’ve prayed and you’ve sown your seed for your need…. Yet God is silent…. You’re in the “hallway”…. Despite your cries and pleas….. God is STILL not saying a word!  And, the dilemma that intensifies our agony is the fact that we have no doubt that God CAN move in an instant!  So what’s happening? Why isn’t God moving…. Or at least saying SOMETHING?

It is in these times that we must realize that God is attempting to mature us and teach us how to PATIENTLY trust His word – even when we don’t hear His voice.  He is attempting to elevate us to our next place in Him.   In other words when we find ourselves in the hallway; we should immediately realize that we’re being tested.  God has placed us in a “proving ground” to enlighten us, and to inform our enemy of our growth since our last visit to the “hallway”.  We are daily growing and advancing to new heights in the Lord.  Yet these increases are internal; they can’t be seen – but can be shown.  So what other way can our adversary know that we’ve grown in the Lord, except by the fact that when he tempts us with prior weaknesses ….we don’t yield as we previously would have?

Therefore, as I’ve often said, “Don’t expect God to answer you when you’re being tested – because the teacher never talks during a test.”  God knows all things, so our testing isn’t to reveal to Him information that He isn’t aware of.  Our testings are for us...and the adversary.

How do we learn to be patient in the hallway?

  1. By openly acknowledging that God loves me and IS working all things for my good. (Romans 8:28)
  2. Finding a scripture to use as a focal point of strength and encouragement. Read it regularly throughout the day. (Philippians 4:13)
  3. Refuse to speak doubt filled, fear related words. (Proverbs 18:21)
  4. Remember that you will not progress to your next level until you’ve passed the hallway test. (God doesn’t have a “No child left behind policy”!) Therefore, you will repeat this same test; year after year … until you can walk through the hallway; without pacing and wringing your hands; without telling everyone that you’re “going through & to pray for you”! Now is the time to give God a “crazy” praise!  No tantrums….. no “why me parties”.  But maturely and patiently walking to the next door, and waiting for God to open! (Psalm 34:1)  As I mature in the Lord; I learn not to ask God to remove difficult situations – but to ask Him for the wisdom to glean the lesson that I need to learn for the entire situation.

So when God is silent, stand on what you know about Him.  Don’t permit the enemy to make YOU further delay the process by focusing on your “hallway” conditions.  Remember.. in the natural, things appear quite differently than they really are.  Never permit your faith in God to waver – regardless.  If we would begin to stand on the promises of God in the difficult situations, then we would realize that when we are in the hallway, that’s the prime time to sow seeds of encouragement to others.  Although doubt and fear will definitely attempt to discourage you –  be determined that you will rest in the comfort of your knowledge of our omniscient, omnipotent Father ….and His promises to never leave nor forsake you.

Clutter, Clutter, Clutter….Why The Clutter????

"At the end of seventy years, the Lord will visit Tyre, and she will return to her wages and will prostitute herself with all the kingdoms of the world on the face of the earth. Her merchandise and her wages will be holy to the Lord. It will not be stored or hoarded, but her merchandise will supply abundant food and fine clothing for those who dwell before the Lord."         Isaiah 23:17-18 (NIV)

Have you ever taken the time to consider why you feel the need to keep in your possession all of the items that you are not readily using?  Most of us have a collection of some things that we aren’t using…. From clothing that we are “some day” going to wear; to dishes, to magazines to, to jewelry… and the list is endless!  The question is, “Why are we still holding on to them?”

There could be many reasons why we feel “comfortable” in keeping all of our possessions.   Many times the spirit of fear is the underlying culprit.  He has come in and is “holding the door open” for his buddies: doubt, pride, procrastination and everyone else to enter.  In other words are you holding on to “your stuff” because you feel as though you might need it one day? (Fear of Lack! .. apply Philippians  4:19)  Or because you feel as though you’ve paid too much for it and someone else won’t properly appreciate it as you do? (That’s probably Pride!.. apply Philippians 2:3 )  Or simply because you haven’t taken to time t o get rid of it? (Possibly Procrastination! Proverbs 6:6)

Whatever the reason – the time has come; especially because we are about to enter into a new calendar; for us to get rid of whatever we are not using.  God has called us to be a channel and a sower; not a hoarder or a packrat!  We are asking God for increase.  We are asking God to return ALL that has been loss, taken or stolen.  However as we receive – no….let’s make a correction – BEFORE we receive…..we are to begin to sow at an accelerated rate!   Listen!  If you have an array of items that you aren’t using in the natural – guess what? That’s probably a revelation of what’s going on in your spirit man!  Most of us have become comfortable in permitting God to use us in a given area. Yet, we still have other gifts within us that are just not being used.  We have permitted spiritual clutter to prevent us from exceling, by allowing that clutter to block the access to many relevant opportunities.

How do we get rid of spiritual clutter?  By first repenting.  Then, by asking God to identify the clutter and to reveal the areas where we are bound by clutter.  Lastly, by refusing to permit such clutter as, “the opinions of others”, to “lock me in” in a given area.  We must remember to maintain a sense of freedom and ask God to activate those gifts and callings which are lying dormant with in us.

Once we have become “de-cluttered”, the only way to avoid becoming cluttered again is to change our mindset!  Whatever reason you used to justify your clutter in the past is no longer acceptable!  Develop strategies that will afford you the opportunity to be more of a giver in both the spiritual and natural realms … and you will be amazed at how the Lord will begin to restore to you ALL that has been stolen….. and clutter will no longer be onboard!

I’m Still Holding The Reins

Therefore, I’m Yielded ….. But Not Broken

The Lord wants to be in total control of our lives.  However, for the most part, far too many of His faithful followers haven’t received the boldness which is required for them to operate from a platform of being “broken”.  They are faithful in the “doing” while lacking in the “being”.  In other words we are basically still living our lives from the position of observing the law (the covenant of works); instead of allowing the Holy Spirit to accomplish His work though us.

We have yielded our thoughts, actions and words to the LEADING of the Holy Spirit which is a great achievement… for a new convert.   However, as we mature in the Lord – brokenness is required.

When I “yield” in a given situation; I remain in control and decide the outcome of that situation.   When I am yielded, I will faithfully and in all sincerity: pay my tithes, “assemble myself with other believers”, study and read my Bible, etc.  However, because I am only yielded – I am still basing my relationship with the Lord on all of these things that I am “doing”.

When I become that broken vessel …. I have matured to the place where I am no longer in control at all.  Therefore my mind has been renewed to the extent that I will move in instant obedience to the voice of the Lord.  A broken vessel truly “Takes no thought for tomorrow” when they receive a command from the Lord. A broken vessel doesn’t worry, fret or become overly concerned about the outcome of situations or circumstances.  A broken vessel has learned the art of resting in the assurance of the unconditional love of the Lord – regardless.

A yielded vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord; but may delay in obeying…

A broken vessel will know that they’ve heard the voice of the Lord and w/o giving it a second      thought - instantly obey.

A yielded vessel will still “stake claims” on their material possessions….

A broken vessel will say, “Lord EVERYTHING that I have is yours” - …. And they will freely release ANYTHING that they possess when the initial instruction comes from the Lord.

A yielded vessel is still in the process of being molded, reshaped and refashioned into one who has been freed from the influences of the enemy– even though they have been saved for quite some time.   A yielded vessel is still developing into a vessel that has been stripped of every traditional ideology, concept and precept.  Then once stripped, this vessel can now be broken by the power of the Holy Spirit and refashioned to be used totally by Him for His glory.

To be effective in these last days; we can no longer be just yielded vessels.  It’s a new day! The Lord doesn’t desire for us to only be yielded.   We must become broken vessels by Him for Him.

I challenge you to sincerely seek the face of God, asking Him to reveal the areas in your mind where ungodly or immature strongholds still exist…. The areas where you are only yielded – and not broken.

We must be determined to become broken vessels because:

Broken vessels are vessels of virtue;

Broken vessels are vessels of valor and above all;

Broken vessels are vessels of Victory!

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.  Isaiah 43:19

I Know No Defeat!!!!

Therefore….. I Can’t Fail

“And this is the confidence that we have in him that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:  And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”                          I John 5:14 & 15

Walk today as if you have already received everything that the Lord has promised! Wisdom, wealth and riches are in your hand.  God has already placed within your hand the valuable keys which will give you access to every resource needed. However, you must use every available avenue (such as; networking connections, business partnerships, education, talents, gifts, etc… – use them all!) to receive the manifestation of the promises.

God has already heard your request; He’s already positioned you, , established you, and strategically aligned every detail concerning the manifestation of your request and petitions.

Reread the recorded accounts of Joseph’s life (Genesis 37-45) and compare them to your life.  Joseph went from the pasture to the pit, to the prison and then to the palace. The manifestation of the promise was a process!

Ask God to reveal to you your three key people….Your butler (the person who will open the doors for you); your Pharaoh (the person who will give you access to unlimited resources); and your baker (the person who will assist you in pulling everything together).

Just like Joseph, I can’t fail!  Why can I not fail? Simply because there is no failure in God; and since His Spirit dwells within me….I CAN’T FAIL!!!  As long as I maintain my focus, God will cause ALL things to work together for my good (Romans 8:28).  Even when the circumstances produce unfavorable and unexpected results; I must remember that I STILL HAVEN’T FAILED!!!  I am determined that even in the times and experiences that others may view as failures; I will learn how to perfect or correct every circumstance that has yielded an unexpected outcome.  Therefore, I have still gained something during the entire experience!  I am emerging wiser, more conscientious or more patient.  Therefore, I haven’t failed! I can’t fail.  Failure is not a part of my DNA; and I refuse to permit anyone or anything to impose that mindset into my spirit!  Whether in my pasture, my pit, or my prison…. I KNOW that I’m being prepared to reign in my palace!  In other words, I have still been increased through every situation….that’s why I can’t label ANYTHING that I’ve encountered as a failure! I can’t fail!!

Trust God! He can’t fail you and He won’t fail you – REGARDLESS!! Whatever you would do …. if you were assured that you would succeed …DO IT!  God IS able to do through you exceedingly and abundantly more than you could ever ask or think.

The ball is in your court… the bat is in your hand.  You may have thought that you were waiting for God …..But in all actuality - He is waiting for You!  Get up! Move out! …. And refuse to feel or to be defeated….REGARDLESS!!!!

“…….The very moment you separate body and spirit, you end up with a corpse. Separate faith and works and you get the same thing: a corpse.” James 2:26 (The Message Bible)

For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.”                                                                                        James 2:26 (KJV)

Faith, Faith, Faith

Faith, Faith, Faith

“So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17

We have been taught through the Word of God, that Faith is obtained by not simply listening to the Word of God – but through understanding that Word that we hear.  However, what so frequently occurs is that we don’t properly understand the Word.  Then, since we don’t fully understand the Word, the enemy is able to steal the effectiveness of the Word.  (Read the explanation of the parable about the sower and the seed as recorded in Matthew 13:18-23).  Without the proper understanding – we open the doorway of our minds to the knocks of fear, doubt and unbelief.

We are all given a measure of faith.  However, it then becomes our responsibility to move forward and upward on the “faith ladder”.  I would like to encourage you to check out the seven types of faith that I’ve listed below.  No doubt this list is not conclusive - just a simple measuring stick to get the ball rolling.

Want to unlock the pathway that leads to more faith??? – The master key is labeled.. “HEARING”!  But not mere listening…. But repetitious listening that will enter my outer ear; begin to penetrate through and dismantle my former mindsets….. and find a resting place in the depth of my spirit and soul.   When the Word that I comprehend begins to institute change …. I am on the road to producing a HEARING ear.  It is this “hearing ear” that creates the platform for my faith to be increased!

********************************************************************

Seven Types of Faith

(Not Listed in any Specific Order)

  1. Natural Faith (Ex.- The type of faith that we extend to: bus drivers, our Doctors, our banks,  - no one has ever questioned a bus Driver about their credentials – we just  by “natural faith” take a seat and ride!)
  1. Little Faith (Matthew 6:30)
  2. Mustard Seed Faith (Matthew 17:20 – small but potent)
  3. Great Faith (Matthew 8: 8 & 10)
  4. Measure of Faith (Romans 12:3)
  5. Faithless Faith (John 20:27)
  6. Visual Faith (Luke 5:20)

Remember: Faith without a productive action is still dead. However, the key is this: Don’t  attempt to proceed with an ACTION, until your level of faith has matured to the extent, that it will permit the manifestation of your request! SELAH!

Assertiveness +Anticipation =Advancement!

“You lazy fool, look at an ant.  Watch it closely; let it teach you a thing or two, nobody has to tell it what to do.  All summer it stores up food; at harvest it stockpiles provisions.  So how long are you going to laze around doing nothing?  How long before you get out of bed?  A nap here, a nap there, a day off here, a day off there, sit back, take it easy—do you know what comes next?  Just this: You can look forward to a dirt-poor life, poverty your permanent houseguest!”                                                                                                Proverbs 6:6-11 (The Message Bible)

A while ago I read an article which had been written by John C. Maxwell regarding various lessons which can be learned from the ant.  He said that ants have:

A- Attitude of Initiative (Ants are self -motivated: I Samuel 30:6)

N- Nature of Integrity (Ants work faithfully and need no outside accountability; Proverbs 11:3)

T- Thirst for Industry (Ants labor hard & will quickly replace their anthill when it gets destroyed;   Proverbs 12:27; 10:4)

S- Source of Insight (Ants store provisions in summer; John 9:4)

(Note: Scripture references and the information written within the parenthesis – in red, were added by Apostle Boatwright and were not included in John Maxwell’s article.)

After reading that article, I concluded the following.

When we consider the ants we can also observe that they are never intimated by obstacles or the presence of anything that they may encounter.  Whatever is placed in front of an ant will not defeat or convince it to surrender…. or become distracted from its mission.  They may be forced to discover an alternative route – however they won’t quit!  The ant is one of the smallest creatures – yet they are some of the hardest workers.

Also, the ants “make haste while it is day”.  They know that the night will come when they will not have the ability to work. We should become encouraged from the tenacity which is shown by the ant; because our night is coming! (I’m not referring the physical nighttime!)

The ants are always anticipating …..always in preparation for tomorrow.  The ants always keep in mind that they must advance…. That their mission is before them.  There are times when you may observe that an ant is attempting to carry a load that is twice their size – however, because they have a “mindset” that is motivated for success; they will always achieve their goal.

We, like that ant, are “wired” for success.  Therefore whatever obstacles that present themselves must be conquered….. simply because the Bible says that we can do all things through God’s strength (Philippians 4:13) AND that we are MORE than conquerors (Romans 8:37)!

So, looking forward, let’s always, with great: expectation, motivation and determination have that same zeal which is found in the ants.  I challenge you today to “anticipate” and “advance”.  In other words, expect the daily “bumps in the road”; but don’t permit them to cause you to lose your focus.  Remember that a group of workers….  No matter how small……All pulling in the same direction….. all sharing the weight of the load….. Will get the job done successfully! Develop a mindset that because of who I am, whose I am and to whom I belong…. I am supposed to….. and I will emerge from every situation as the victor and not the victim!

To summarize: When I develop an assertive mindset; and When I maintain a spirit of anticipation and expectation; then I will victoriously advance and excel in all that I endeavor!

Your road may be long and your journey may seemingly be up hill; however, you must remember the ant and keep in mind the old cliché: a winner never quits… and a quitter never wins!

“I CAN DO ALL THINGS THROUGH GOD WHO WILL GIVE ME THE STRENGTH”

Spiritual Cataracts

Spiritual Cataracts

“And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” ......” 2 Kings 6:17

Read: 2 Kings 6:8-22

There are times when we, the body of Christ are lacking the ability to see and understand the happenings of this season.  In other words, we have been “blind-sided”; not possessing the capability to clearly comprehend and relate the occurrences of today to those which are recorded in the Bible.  Although we sincerely love the Lord; attend Bible Study on a regular basis; and are faithful in the paying of their tithes and offerings; we can’t seem to see clearly.  Why? Possibly because we have Spiritual Cataracts.

When a person has a cataract in the natural; they have a condition in which there is a cloudiness of the lens in the eye that prevents light from passing to the retina; which can impair their vision. (Brief explanation)

Therefore, when someone has a Spiritual Cataract they have a blockage in their perception, in the realm of the Spirit; which is preventing the illumination of God’s word from being comprehended to its fullest capacity.  They may “see men walking as trees” (Mark 8:24); or not even see at all (refer to the key verse).  Whatever the case they need to have those cataracts removed if they are going to be abreast of these end-time situations that have already been fully explained in our canon.

In some instances cataracts in the natural can remain intact because they aren’t really obstructing too much of the retina.  However, in terms of Spiritual Cataracts; whatever the density or consistency – they must be removed.  We can’t afford to permit anything in our lives which will block or hinder the Light of the Lord to prevail.

So if you are lacking the ability to accurately “see” the signs of the times; if you are still not actively progressing in the realm of the Spirit; if your decisions and directives are still leading you down paths which are non-productive; ….. then maybe you are in need of Spiritual Cataract Surgery.

When someone undergoes cataract surgery in the natural, it’s not a “one size fits all” procedure.  Some situations are “out of the norm” and will require the expertise of one who is more knowledgeable.  For example, our expectations of an optometrist are not the same as for an ophthalmologist…although they are both concerned with our eyes.  Therefore, prior to undergoing a successful spiritual surgery we must consult our Chief Physician! We must ask the Lord to reveal every area in our lives where He is still not “Lord”.   In other words; those areas where the illumination of His word is not prevailing to the extent, that we are willing to bring a total submission to His divine authority.  Ask Him for the corrective orders and directions which will permit an enlightenment of who He is to be evident and to prevail in your life.

Lastly, remember that God will perform the necessary procedures – but we must be willing to do our part by walking in obedience, persistence, and a determination to do whatever the He mandates for our lives.  As with any surgical procedure, the after care and follow-up instructions are of vital importance.  After a spiritual procedure, one must adhere to God’s directives… to divert the reoccurrence of the same or worst condition!

Make the preparations for surgery today….enough time has already transpired!

The Search Is On…Do You Qualify?

The Search Is On…Do You Qualify?

“……The harvest truly is great, but the labourers are few: ……. Luke 10:2

The Lord is still seeking for those who are qualified to be an example in leadership.  Now…. you’ve been “saved” for quite a few years; you know quite a few scriptures; and can effectively convince someone of their need to deepen their relationship with the Lord.  However, what would your true character reveal if you were selected for this current search?

Let's take a look ……. You be the judge!

  1. Does my love for the Lord reflect in my: emotions, reasonings, and my actions?
  2. Do I spend quality time in the presence of the Lord – daily?
  3. Am I a bold advocate for the cause of Christ?
  4. Am I familiar enough with my “sword” as to know the “flavor” of its content?
  5. What is the opinion of the people in my community concerning my: integrity, friendliness, and my active involvement within the community?
  6. What about my employer and my fellow coworkers? What is their opinion of my Spiritual convictions? Do they even know of my profession concerning my Lord?
  7. What does my check book and my social media giving platforms reveal concerning my stewardship in the area of finances?
  8. What type of financial supporter am I to those who minister to me on a regular basis?
  9. Are my choices and the style of my clothing in accord with what is “satisfactory” and pleasing to the Lord?
  10. Above all, is my overall lifestyle a display of that which would consider me to be classified as a current day disciple?

So if the Lord were to use the above brief list as a “white glove” to survey our lives…. would that glove still remain white after the survey?  Remember….God doesn’t require educational degrees, eloquent speech or a “padded” bank account  – but He does require obedience, commitment and perseverance.

Yes…. The search is on….. Do you qualify?  (if not…get to steppin!!!)

“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” Colossians 3:17 (ESV)
