Worship Is Not Superficial
“But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23 (ESV)
Blessing Leaders (and potential Leaders). Today’s focus is the thought: Worship is Not Superficial. When defining the word worship, we will discover its definition is diverse; offering a suggestion of various synonyms. For our meditation today, we will select the section of the definition which states “implying and attributing extreme honor & reverence to”.
When we consider just that portion of the definition alone, it bears witness of this one fact: “If I am to ascribe the characteristics of attributing “extreme” honor & reverence to someone or something; I must have obtained a heightened prior knowledge or an awareness of that person or object. It is also necessary to realize that because of the in depth nature associated with this word worship, I cannot simply reduce its nature to the limits or the confines of my thoughts. My worship for God will only be established when I realize the level of intimacy that is required for me to connect with Him in that realm. When I haven’t properly established a “worship relationship” with the Lord, it is impossible for me to lead others to that place of true worship. We must always remain cognizant of the fact that it is my responsibility to maintain the plateau of intimacy with God so that I can properly lead others into true worship. I am convinced that many leaders don’t have the type of intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit unhindered, totally focused worship. Therefore, as I so often say; we have permitted our congregants to believe that “worship” can be reduced to the two slow songs which are sung during our quote “Praise and Worship” portion of the service.
Leaders, let’s not become so preoccupied with “doing ministry” that we forsake the time to build that intimate relationship with the Lord that will permit “us” to worship him.
Worship involves that cherished relationship with the Lord that will overflow into my daily dealings. When I’ve learned to worship the Lord, I’ll have no problem aligning and curtailing my flesh and its desires to come in total agreement with God’s divine ordinances.
It is only when we have learned the art of true worship, that we will obtain the power to successfully defeat our adversary.... in our own lives as well. The true worship of God will avail us of the power and ability to transcend our ideologies, and conform them into those that are the expressed image of God.
As we begin this season of change and restoration, begin to spend more time in the presence of God. .. Not for the sake of studying the Word, not in prayer - but just in His presence….not asking for anything… not decreeing and declaring ….just in His presence in fellowship with Him!
It is only when we learn to intimately commune with Him, that true worship begins.
Remember: “When I spend time IN worship, then I will be empowered TO worship.”
“Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name; worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness.”
Psalm 29:2

Worship... One's life should become a sweet smelling fragrance of worship everyday before the Lord... The skill of Worship...
Worship is not superficial Syllabus Notes:
“implying and attributing extreme honor & reverence to”.

WORSHIP IS NOT SUPERFICIAL
But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.” John 4:23 (ESV)
This lesson is so awesome i can hear APOSTLE BOATWRIGHT SAYING IT. I'M IN TOTAL AGREEMENT WITH YOU WE DO HAVE TO HAVE AN INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD IN ORDER TO EXPERIENCE THAT LEVEL OF WORSHIP THAT HE REQUIRE OF US,.PUTTING ALL OF OUR HEARTS,SOULS,AND MINDS INTO WORSHIP TOTALLY CONSUMED IN HIS PRESENCE EMBRACING HIM AS HE EMBRACES US WHAT AN AWESOME EXPERIENCE THAT WILL BE
Praise God I just thank God for that powerful teaching on worship really want to thank Apostle Bishop Claudia for sharing that how we need to be worshiping more and it's not just two worship song that should get us there we should go deeper than that. There should be A deeper connection there that needs to be formed you know not just a song playing. You don't always need a song to go forth to worship you actually can just began to just worship and let him know you love him and you care about him and that you're willing and ready to go deeper and higher in him showing by action so it's it's deeper than just listening to worship music and you shouldn't have to always be encouraged to worship it should always be in your spirit you should always be ready and it should be something you can easily tap into you know because you guys have a connection and you can decrease your flash and totally come under submissiveness and Let Jesus flow and do his thing within your spirit and you just grow up and come alive from there.
This is very powerful. I must make more time for the Lord I have to do better. I did think the only time to worshift him when I have some type of slow praise music. But that's not the case with God he want me to have alone time with him in just silence. He also want me to worshift him more give him more of my time. I got plenty of tome when it comess to God. Hey we is in the process of moving but I am going to make time for God. I am also on the monthly and still doing God's work because we is doing his part by blessing me to still have my mother, my children, my Siblings, and my spiritiual family. He also allowed people to adopt me and my children to be apart of there family and I love God for that. So worthshift is the way to go. However, Worshift is is why we must become stronger in the spirit.
This is one of our favorite scriptures, we take it to heart, because we can’t come less alone worship God in a nonchalant manner. This always given us a true reminder that we (patricia) must have our heart, mind, and motive correct when we worship God. This is serious to us, and when we are not in the right place, we have to pray and ask God to help us, begin to search in our hearts to acknowledge we are not 100% in our Spirit. As stated by Apostle Boatwright “When we consider just that portion of the definition alone, it bears witness of this one fact: “If I am to ascribe the characteristics of attributing “extreme” honor & reverence to someone or something; I must have obtained a heightened prior knowledge or an awareness of that person or object. It is also necessary to realize that because of the in-depth nature associated with this word worship, I cannot simply reduce its nature to the limits or the confines of my thoughts.” We have to know about worship, what it means, how to truly worship. Highly honored and reference to our King, not an normal king, but the King of kings; Lord of lords, HalleluYAH.
In order to truly lead others to an intimate relationship with God, I have to live up to what I am teaching, I need to be before him in prayer 24/7, Praising and Worshiping his Holy name. He wants us to have that intimate relationship with him,, true face time.in his presence....
I enjoyed reading your comment. However, as we mature in our relationship with the Lord; we will realize that our relationship with the Lord possesses the character qualities that are not equivalent to - nor can be compared to any other relationship.
I understand/comprehend your directives and comparisons. However, our ultimate goal must be to renew our minds to the extent, that we refuse to minimize our relationship with the Lord to the position of being compared to any other relationship.
The points that you relayed were excellent - however they were still presented from a plateau that does not revere our God in His awesome esteemed position that He possesses!
It is only right as in any relationship that for it to be successful, we must give, take and be...Our commitment/relationship with God is no different. In order to learn we must become intimate so that we may learn the true heart of God and sometimes that requires us to just be....It reminds me of a movie I believe it was Dirty Dancing the actor took the hand and placed it on the heart of the other so that they could feel the beat of the heart and catch the rhythm to become in sync. I believe that when we discover the true heart of worship by listening and being in His presence that allows us to become in sync and beat our hearts in the same rhythm as the Father.
The difference between worship and praise is this a praise is for what God is doing for us that we can see but a worship is when you are going through and you still can pray, you still can sing, you still can go in the presence of God and tell Him thank you. Awesome reading really enjoyed.
Hallelujah!!!!
