A Shared Legacy of Believers

Psalms 23

As believers we sometimes make the mistake of regarding the godly men and women of scriptures as being in a special category. To often they are thought of as some type of superheroes God raised up to do His work. But the truth is they were everyday people just like you and I. The Lord love us just as much as He loved them. They had just as much difficulty and often lonely experiences as we have. David was hunted: Moses was a murderer on the run: Jeremiah was spurned: and Paul faced prison and prosecution. But they all kept the faith and held on tight to the promises that God would be with them.( Deut. 31:6,8) David said even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for thou art with me. David knew that the Lord was with Him.The Saints in the biblical days who was doing The Lord's work, shared the same convictions. When you are working for the Lord under that belief, you possess a zeal and a courage that all the forces of evil will never be able to destroy. As we do the work of the Lord, we may not earn recognition, but we will more than likely face persecution. When that day comes, I guarantee you we can be sure that The Lord will be with us, enabling us to fulfill His Purpose. We can't put those in the biblical days on a pedalstol. They have earned their place in History not as a result of personal achievement, but because they served The Lord faithfully. Their legacy is trusting in God and having the courage to follow Him, even when obedience is inconvenient or difficult, Our legacy can be the same if we choose to trust and obey the Lord.

"Flipped Out"

( Deuteronomy 28:34 ).You will go mad because of all the tragedy you see all around you.

One of the curses for those who reject God was that they would go mad from seeing all of the tragedy around them. Do you ever feel like you will go crazy if you hear one more rape, kidnapping, murder, or war?  Much of the world's evil is a result of people's failure to acknowledge and serve God. When we as believers hear bad news we are not to groan helplessly as unbelievers who have no hope for the future. We must remind ourselves that inspite of it all, God has ultimate control and one day He will come back to make EVERYTHING right. Choose to Love The Lord your God and to Obey Him, and to Cling to Him, for He is your LIFE and the length of your days.( Deut.30:20 )

"OUR WORTH"

How are we made like God? The phrase "Let us make man like ourselves" Does not mean that God created us exactly like himself, especially in the physical sense. Instead, we are reflections of God's glory. We will never be totally like God, because he is our supreme Creator. Our best hope is to reflect His character in our Love, Patience, Forgiveness, Kindness, and Faithfulness. We are made in the image of God, and share many of his characteristics. Our worth is not defined by our possessions, popularity, achievements, physical attravtiveness,... Self-worth is knowing that God created us in His image and after His likeness.....Criticizing are downgrading ourselves is criticizing what God has made. Because we are like God, we can feel positive about ourselves and our abilities. Knowing that we are a person of infinite worth gives us the freedom to Love God. know Him personally, and make a valuable contribution to those around us.

"Purpose and fulfillment of life"

John 10:10 (KJV) The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly. God wants us to have a complete life full of purpose. He has given us a reason for our existance. We were created by Him and for Him. It is His desire for us to live for Him and accomplish what He has for us to do after the council of His own will. The true purpose of Life is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever. Because there is no one greater who is worthy of trust, adoration, and deserving of our worship and praise. No one.

"Hear With Your Heart:

God's voice is most often heard in the quietness of a humble heart. In today's world, people and responsibilities at home, work, and at church are constantly competing for our attention. While we can still enjoy blessings from activities and relationships, nothing compares with hearing from God. The creator of the universe is not a silent God, but a loving Father who longs to communicate His love and guidance to His children. Whether the Lord want's to encourage, teach,or correct us, He always speaks for our benefit. So I have to constantly remind myself to slow down and take time to listen. Hear the voice of God, Understand the voice of God and Obey the voice of God. Then myself and others will be blessed with what He has to say. "SPEAK LORD" Have your way in me Lord. help me to listen to that small still voice and not be distracted.by the enemies devices to disrupt me from Hearing, understanding, and obeying your voice Yahweh. In the name of Jesus.

"Encourage yourselves in the Lord.

To Pastor Teyshana Wiley and " I am A Ruby Family" ...Everyone is not going to be as happy and excited about what God is doing in our lives as we are. Even when they can see the divine hand of God elevating you to the next level in Christ Jesus, and in ministry.. Don't be discouraged." Today my prayer was that we try to live by principle, not by feelings. In order to do the things we need to do without emotions getting in our way and be determined to try to never violate the principles by which God requires us to live our lives, regardless to what someone else says or does to us. We must live our lives before God, faithful to God. No matter what. Even if that person acts unfaithfully toward us,he/she will still be the beneficiary of our walk with the Lord. If we live our lives to please heaven, we must not be affected by the people of this earth. Encourage yourselves in the LORD. God bless you and keep you in His tender love and care is my prayer. What Are Spiritual Gift's?

Read ( Ephesians 4:11-16 ).

As we seek to follow and be used by Jesus Christ, we need to utilize all that he has made available to us. One of the great blessings Jesus has given to His church and to us as individuals is the gifts of the Spirit. Why has He given these gifts? The Bible has this to say about the vital role they play in the lives of believers:... Spiritual Gifts Enable Us to Grow in the Knowledge of Christ. Some people get side tracked with spiritual gifts and become more obsessed with the gifts than with Jesus. which is a sign of spiritual immaturity. Attaining Spiritual gifts is not the goal- they are the gateway. They are not a hobby to play with- they are tools to build with, weapons to fight with. We will be more effective as we put them to use for God's glory and not our own....Spiritual Gifts Are to be used. It is possible to let a gift go unused. In doing this, however, we disobey God and cheat the church of a blessing. For this reason, we must use those unique gifts He has given us. It must be insulting to God for us to demean some gifts His Holy Spirit has instilled in our lives by saying that it just isn't important enough to use. Each Spiritual Gift has A Special Place in the Body of Christ... Every gift that God has placed in the body of Christ, is important. Some gifts such as preaching, teaching and prophesying may seem more important than others such as hospitality of service. But God has given all of these gifts to build up His church. None of these gifts should be looked down upon or treated lightly. Lord I thank you for the Gifts and the Gift giver.

Commissioned by the Lord

In Matthew 28: 19-20, Jesus charged His disciples to "go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that He commanded. When the church body takes the Great Commission seriously, God opens amazing doors of opportunity. As we follow His lead rather than our own preferences, we will witness the incredible results of faith in action.People from every corner of the world are longing for relief from pain and hopelessness, and we have the answer.

I know from first hand experience. God delivered me from a crack cocaine drug addition over 30 years ago. He brought me out of a miserable life of sin and shame. Ever since that day I promised I would serve Him til I die.

I have a sincere heart and passion for Gods people, those who are  hurting, wounded and bruised, and with addictions, Those who just need to know they are loved and somebody cares.  Desiring to show them a more excellent way. JESUS is the way the TRUTH and the LIFE. And once you come into the knowledge of who He is, and how much He truly love you  your life will never ever be the same.
